BILLIE SECTION

-I made Billie 5 years old.

-I’ve mentioned this before but Billie has Asperger’s.

-She didn’t talk until she was like 3 going on 4.

-Her nickname is "silly billy"

-Miles always says "how's my favorite girl in the whole wide world?" when he comes home from school on the weekends.

-Miles is a doting big brother and helps take care of her as well as connecting with her interests.

-As much as she loves her parents, she thinks the world of Miles. She's up under him the most, especially when she's over stimulated, stressed or sleepy. His heartbeat calms her.

-She has a limit to physical contact and taps when she’s ready to let go. She usually only hugs her family. Her and Ganke do hand touches instead of hugs.

-The family helps her navigate her environment and her emotions as well as socializing but never push anything that makes her uncomfortable. They always ask questions and have special routines to help her.

-A part of her routine is on Saturdays they go to the park so she can see the pigeons.

-Miles does not like pigeons, but tolerates them for Billies sake.

-They also have special songs for her like "🎶when you walk across the street take ur eyes off your feet🎶" to remind her to look both ways and pay attention when walking across the street since she can get distracted easily.

-The songs they use also attach her to music. So whenever they go to ganke he plays the piano for her and they make songs up and when she hears a song she likes she starts stimming and wiggling.

-She also takes interest in drawing because she sees Miles drawing and they draw animals and watch Steve Irwin on Saturdays too.

-She doesn't understand figure of speeches so if you say "don't sweat it" she would be like "...sweat what?"

-she doesn’t show a lot of emotions unless she’s feeling something intense.

-She rarely sees Miles in superhero mode in public but when she does she just goes “SPIDER!” and smiles and he waves at her.

-Moral of this story, she is loved.

HOBIE

-He lives with his grandparents in the Bronx area (I’m not sure which side yet tho).

-He loves his grandparents very much.

-One time at a punk rock concert a wise man told him “the most punk thing to do is to take care of yourself, don’t be reliant on the system to do so, cuz they ain’t”

-He told his grandpa the following day and they had a heart to heart about it considering that Hobie was very depressed at the time.

-So with that being said, health is incredibly important to him.

-Some ppl tease him and call him “straight-edge” but it don’t bother him much.

-Hobie officially meets the other spiders when he’s 16.

-Clicks with Gwen and Miles almost immediately.

-Especially Miles, Peter always jokes and says that they were definitely brothers in their past lives.

-Gwen and Hobie bond over music.

-Gwen gets the crush first.

-But unlike Miles she’s more forward and doesn’t wait a billion years so she’s asks him out.

-Hobie says yes.

-Only one that knows how to drive by the time he’s 18.

OTHER STUFF

-Gwen’s relationship with her father just…never gets better in my AU. He’s just an ass and as far as Gwen is concerned they’re not family, they’re just related. With that being said, although it’s never acknowledged, Gwen definitely sees Peter as a father figure in her life. She even has him as her top emergency contact. Peter started to understand this when she was 16, he never questioned it and sees her as his oldest daughter. When she’s had really bad arguments with her father she goes to Peters and spends the night.

-Peter and MJ’s home is open to all the spiderkids. No questions asked.

-Peter and MJ always say “On our taxes we have one kid” when people ask them how many kids they have.

-When Peter gets home he sees how many pairs of shoes are at the door then yells “how many kids are in the house?" They usually yell in response which gives him an idea as to how many kids are there.

-On average there’s no less than 2.

-One time he asked and a really deep voice responded along with the kids.

-It was Venom.

-All the spiders have their own therapist’s but every other weekend there’s a group therapy session for kids with powers funded by S.H.E.I.L.D. It’s not required that they go but it’s open for them regardless, just sign up and come in.

-Ganke donates some of his legos to the program and helps assist sometimes with running it since it’s not ran in the best shape.

-This connects to a bigger problem of helping hero’s with their mental health and stability, especially when they decide to retire.

-If you read the other AU list I had, this is the reason why Ganke switches his major to Social Work when he goes to college.

I feel like when Miguel was more new to the poly relationship he was nervous as he didn't want to feel like a homewrecker even when MJ constantly reushered him that everything was perfect genuinely, there was one day in which Miguel fully felt comfortable now.

Miguel and Peter were hot and in a rush from a long day with anomalies and bad guys that they worked their appetite for some pussy/dick and they definitely started heated not even able to make it to the bedroom

MJ then came in through the front door and just started blankly at them untill she looked mad, this frightened Miguel but once she started speaking it became clear that they weren't the problem. "You two? On the kitchen counter? AGAIN? Im bringing groceries so pull your pants up and unload the car with Kirkland products."

They come back and laugh about it this day

miguel would 100% be so nervous about joining their relationship. it'd take a couple of months for him to finally settle in and once he does, he holds on, fucking digs his talons into it to anchor himself.

it's easier with peter bc miguel knows him, he's worked with several of him before (even if this particular peter is special) so it's easy to get into a relationship with him and find their dynamic. with mj, she's sweet, she's exactly like peter, but miguel still frets around her. but she's patient, she patiently and affectionately works with miguel, never withdrawing her love even when miguel flinches back.

eventually, he finds his dynamic with her, and he begins to seek her out, begins to seek them out. he's like a cat; once feral, once afraid, now lovingly laying on them and soaking up the affection and love they willingly feed him.

Thoughts on music in the Hunger Games (trilogy + prequel)

After finishing the trilogy, and especially after Katniss sings again in MJ, I remember thinking of the Hunger Games’ story each time I was listening to folk, country and gospel songs. The lyrics sometimes reminded me of the story and I pictured Katniss singing these songs with her dad. Songs condemning war, songs about working class people, songs about wildflowers and birds. And when I read the prequel, I was so happy to see that music was a big part of it. So here are some things I’ve noticed and wanted to share, sorry if it’s a bit messy :))

1/ Everdeen’s family // The Carter family 

In Tbosas, Maude Ivory sings “Keep on the sunny side”, a song written by The Carter Family who come from the Appalachian mountains, where District 12 is located. Its original members, A.P, Sara and Maybelle Carter mostly sang ballads and mountain songs. Recently, I watched a documentary about the history and origins of country music, and learned that A.P. fell in love with Sara Dougherty when he heard her sing. He was from what was called Poor Valley while she lived in Rich Valley. I automatically thought of Katniss’ parents, her dad from the Seam, her mom, a Townie falling in love with his voice when he sang. Katniss was taught how to sing by her father, and if we consider Maude Ivory to be her grandmother, then the tradition sure has been there for many generations. 

2/ Unity through music 

We don’t have much information about other districts, but I have this headcanon that District 11 and 12 share some of the same songs. We know music is what Rue loved the most, and people there sing at work and at home. Considering that both districts are southern and quite geographically close  to each other, I believe they kept alive some old songs from bluegrass, blues, folk, gospel and country music. (I also hc District 10 as having country music). 

Also in MJ during Finnick and Annie’s wedding, District 12 refugees start to dance to their traditional music, “teach the steps to District 13 guests” and “insist on a special number for the bride and groom” (MJ, p.217). So Finnick and Annie from District 4 and the guests from 13 all “join hands and make a giant, spinning circle where people show off their footwork” (MJ, p.217). I’d like to add that I think they are clogging. Clogging originates from Irish step dancing and developed with Native Americans influences, especially Cherokee, and “was also shaped by African ‘buck dancing’, which originated during slavery.” Therefore this dance is already a mix between Europeans, African and Native Americans cultures. And in this scene, it shows unity between the districts, everyone gathers to dance together and Katniss states “Dancing transforms us” (MJ, p.217). The same way in Tbosas (p.28), Snow’s thoughts when seeing Lucy Gray on stage during her reaping were that “Singing transformed her”, and that he “no longer found her so disconcerting.” 

3/ Snow’s dislike for old songs 

Now in the prequel, we get to see that Snow doesn’t like the old songs, and prefers the recent ones : 

“Some of the numbers bordered on unintelligible, with un-familiar words that Coriolanus struggled to get the gist of, and he remembered Lucy Gray saying that they were from another time. During these in particular, the five Covey seemed to turn in on themselves, swaying and building complicated harmonies with their voices. Coriolanus didn’t care for it; the sound unsettled him. He sat through at least three songs of this kind before he realized it reminded him of the mockingjays. Fortunately, most of the songs were newer and more to his liking, and they finished up with the one he recognized from the reaping…” (Tbosas, p.286) 

Old songs, like “Clementine” or “The ballad of Barbara Allen” are older than Panem. They existed centuries before what caused the almost extinction of human beings in the story. Despite the loss of billions and the destruction of technologies, cities…and freedom, poetry and songs are passed down generation from generation. With them, a part of history. 

Bluegrass “was born from the creativity of working class and impoverished Southerners, Appalachians, and immigrants”, and how can I not think of District 12 when I hear Hazel Dickens sing about coal miners, and how can I not think of Katniss when I listen to country song “Coal miner’s daughter” now ? These old tunes (from bluegrass, blues, folk or country music) sometimes talk about slavery, poverty, workers’ life, hard times, but also hope and resilience. They show survival. And they also set an example of worlds existing before Panem. And in my opinion, this is why Snow doesn’t like them. 

Just imagine if thanks to the songs and lyrics, people knew some parts of what happened before Panem, if they knew the atrocities committed, the wars, revolutions, and struggles. They may not know a thing about the civil rights movement but still have songs about it, like “We shall overcome”. Even songs which have ancient names are rebellious to the Capitol, think of “Country roads”, “My native home”, “West Virginia, my home”, “Sunny Tennessee” or “You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive”. Think of all the songs and ballads telling the stories of people long dead like Joe Hill or Ira Hayes that may have survived. Cause as Rachel Baiman sings, “old songs never die, they just cry and cry out for you to sing them once again”

And it’s neither in the books nor in the movies, so it’s not canon, but in the fan movie where Katniss is a child and goes to the woods with her dad, there are these lines : 

Her dad (D) : “Because what’s in the woods ?” K : “Weapons, and food and mockingjays, and…” D : “All of it exists without the Capitol.” K : “Freedom.” D : “Freedom.”

And I believe that’s the reason for Snow's specific hatred for old songs. Also, the fact that when the Covey sung these, it made him think of mockingjays is telling. I keep thinking there must be an explanation for that, perhaps it's because the mockingjays are creatures who escaped the Capitol’s control just like traditional American music did ; because mockingjays represent a way out of the Capitol’s dictatorship later becoming a symbol of hope and revolt, and old songs can hold the same power.

Bucky had been preparing his surprise for Peter since December

Peter had barely remembered Valentine's day 2 weeks before the holiday was gonna happen.

Bucky had special ordered a few signed figurines of his favorite characters from Star Wars, and the biggest Starwars lego set available.

Peter, asking for help from MJ, found a few first editions of some older books, he remembered Bucky talking about them a few months ago. (Namely, The Hobbit, The Grapes of Wrath, and The Sun Also Rises)

Bucky went all out setting his apartment up, streamers, lights, balloons and rose petals, and a small candle-lit dinner.

Peter had set up a night at Coney island, where he paid extra money for the attendant to stop the Ferris wheel at the top for them.

Once they get back to their apartment, Peter is really surprised, because he didn't expect Bucky to go all out like this.

Once Peter finally calms down, Bucky pulls him in for a slow dance (after putting on his 'oldies' playlist)

After they finish slow dancing (which takes a while, they danced for ab 15 minutes straight) Peter wanders off to their bedroom and grabs Bucky's gifts, and Bucky heads to the kitchen, where he hid Peter's gifts

Peter is very eager for Bucky to open his gifts until he sees just how many Bucky got him vs the three that he got Bucky.

Bucky, noticing his boyfriend's face, wondered if he got too much

Until Peter walked forward and handed the gifts over, carefully. Once he opened them, he was left gaping. His boyfriend got his hands on the first editions of his favorite books.

Then he carefully put the books down and wrapped Peter into the tightest hug possible, then handed his gifts over to the younger.

Peter was freaking out. 2 signed Obi figs, 2 signed figs of Lea and Vader, and a 3000-dollar lego set.

Peter put all of them down and ran up to Bucky, almost crying.

Bucky was a wreck because he only cries when his boyfriend cries.

So there they were, crying while holding onto each other in the middle of their dining room.

"I made dinner too, if you're hungry" "Of course, I'm hungry, Jamie."

hes an advocate for the lgbtq+ community particuarly in youths dont worry bookie ur not alone (hes also been seen at the ny pride parade several times but only as spider-man)

has been to comic con before to see what the hub bub was about was rather surprised to see dozens of cosplays of spider-man whether it be his current suit or ppls own renditions (yes the hello kitty / pink special was present). when someone complimented his 'cosplay' he responded with 'this suit isnt a cosplay'. needless to say that cosplayer didnt believe him

he doesnt have a favorite artist hes just the type of guy to listen whatever sounds nice

typically when asked for the type of interview that involves a live audience + camera he responds with 'no comment' and swings away but the rare off chance he amuses them, hes awkward in the way where he gives a hesitant wave and an unsure glance between the crew and the microphone only to lean as close as he can to speak.

this isnt a hc but damn peter and i are not the same if my extremely hot and badass girlfriend stole from the rich of artifacts they claimed in an underground auctions / just to have it as a social status i would support her whole heartedly and not change her i would do anything for her in fact

sure hes attracted to mj and harry and felicia and finds the whole crew of the avengers attractive and sable and

hes a fan of tony stark (in terms of how cool he thinks tonys suit is and is very interested to know the intricate designs even idly thinking about if he should apply that to his own + avengers towers) and natasha romanova (a russian SPY? he could rly learn a thing or 2 from her + hes slightly afraid of her shes just so badass)

helps introduce miles and tony as a favor that was long owed while he cant help in 'spidey training' / thinks miles is ready to rly prove himself

his favorite thing about being spider-man is getting to know everyone personally it helps cement is morality

speaking of that with his undiagnosed ptsd he has night horrors and goes days without sleep to help sway those bad thoughts to do patrols but he doesnt know this his harming him instead. running from ur thoughts and not addressing them doesnt help (ill go deeper into this in another post)

he so desperately wants to believe everyone can be saved in some form but hes accepted that those who refuse the hand thats offered is of no help if they refuse to accept change; its along the lines u cant save everyone whether it be physically or morality

he cant take therapy because then he would have to go thru all the things that have given him trauma (will hit them with 'yeah im fine... i think') and intrusive thoughts because hes spider-man so he did the next best thing that mj had suggested: yoga

he makes silly little status on twitter to help communicate with his followers as a whole and is the type to take a picture on top of a tall building and something silly like 'good morning ny'

in addition to that he saves random fanart he finds and saves it to his phone he even as some as his wallpaper on his phone

He'll either sleep for 28 hours straight, or he will spend weeks wide awake, no in between

He will probably spend those weeks awake nonstop making huge battle robots

He doesn't watch TV, he'd much rather read the newspaper/books because he spends enough time around computers and screens as it is

So I will do my favorite lists also here not just on other social media sites (well if you can call the Hungarian "GoodReads" a social media site...)

But because I don't think I'm gonna finish any more fics this year, I wanna look back on my own writing, and yes! List them! Because I wrote them and I am still hecking proud that while battling with a serious medical condition (and my mom's cancer diagnosis) I still managed to write.

So the first category is the fics that I’m proud of and I think they did very well:

Wishing You'd Be Mine (Spider-Man Video Games) Miles/Peter, written for the small fandom big bang, this is the fic I am the proudest of because I just showed myself I can finish something long. Also helped me a lot to learn to edit and hone my skills. Apart from the adventure I had with my non-artist here, this fic has a special place in my heart, being my first foray into the fandom, with the most niche ship ever, I never hoped for the warm reception it got!

Yeah, this year this is my only big achievement, but I'm okay with it.

2. someone I can't live without (Spider-Man Video Games) Miles/Peter, written for the Domaystic event, was a challenge to get myself back to writing after spending so much time in hospitals. It's basically a drabble sequence and pure fluff.

You know what? These are pretty niche

They didn’t get a lot of traction but I still love them, and I had to realize at this point that I’m mostly writing the rarest of rare pairs. (Which is no surprise, of course...)

3. Love is Yellow (Life is Strange: True Colors) Alex/Ryan/Steph, this ship just ate my brain when I finished the game, and I really wanted to see everyone together, hence this fluff piece. Tried to write more for them, but honestly, I just got into so many ships, I'm not sure I'll finish any other WIPs for them. Which is a shame.

4. Take My Heart (Horizon: Zero Dawn/Forbidden West) Aloy/Alva, written for the HC exchange, I found my people who ship Aloy/Alva!

5. Curse of Night (Hades Game) Hypnos/Zagreus, written for the Goreswap exchange, the hardest thing I've ever written. The recip had so many good prompts and I have like a dozen WIPs started, but nothing got into real horror territory, apart from this. I know it's niche due to the body horror but 🤷‍♀️

6. Focal Point (Plague Tale) Lucas/Amicia, look I was the gal who shipped Amicia with EVERYONE in Innocence, and to this day I can't even process I got a gift where all my ships lived happily ever after. I was very meh going into the game because the reviews said that the old gang (meaning Lucas and Beatrice) is switched out, and I wanted my Lumicia content if I couldn't have Mélie back. And the game fed me so well, I finally managed to finish a Plague Tale fic. There are more coming, right now I have two WIPs, but real life will decide how I'll progress.

Okay, not to rag on my writing. I love these too, but let's face it, they are beyond niche or just short. 🤷‍♀️

12. Come Back and Haunt Me (Marvel's Midnight Suns) Fem!Hunter/Peter, what can I say? The FIRST fic in the fandom. I binged the game, and honestly, I would just read all the happy poly fix-it fics for it. But because it's a long game, and a niche one at that, I don't think it'll have such a big fic presence. So I took matters into my own hand and wrote this half fix-it. I still think I will write an epic long fix-it where everyone lives happily ever after, even if no one reads it.

I mean all in all it was a good year, a dozen fics! Short, long, and everything in between! But the most fun thing is: I'VE ONLY WRITTEN FOR VIDEO GAMES THIS YEAR! Hell yeah!

= He's basically the Mista of this gang.

= This dude literally went to the bathroom and didn't wash his hands after. Take note: they're in a restaurant.

= If that's not nasty then i don't know what it is.

= And since he's an assassin, he does a lot of dirty work(Quite literally) that requires him to prowl on the streets.

= That means he'll smell like smoke, pollution and weed.

= He wears cologne but it's the ones that'll hurt your nose and will give you a bad migraine.

Illuso

= Jojo MJ steals hair products in boutiques and no one can convince me otherwise.

= Takes good care of his 'beauty' despite being broke and having a bad taste in fashion.

= He has piles of hair masks and other products in his room and all of them are stolen. Some of them are also expired already but he's too lazy to throw them so he just leaves them in the mirror world.

= Will fight you for using his special conditioner and shampoo.

= Goes into a salon using his stand and gives himself a makeover for free then goes back home like nothing happened.

= May or may not have taken the salon's hair dryer and money but we won't talk about that.

= Smells like a whole bottle of either hairspray or argan oil. There's no in-between.

Pesci

= The most decent one in the group that properly does his routine.

= He'll need help and ask the other members but once he gets a hold of what he should do and use, he'll straight up use it for his entire life unless Prosciutto recommends him something else or the others makes fun of him for using the same product for years.

= Wax is his best friend.

= He probably spends more on wax than anything else just to keep his hair up like that.

= Can get really insecure about what he looks like sometimes so he can go overboard when buying skincare products and forget that they're actually bankrupt.

= He really likes milk so most of the products he buys have the same flavor or scent but since his team bullies him for it, he keeps it a secret.

= Owns a bottle of perfume that he only uses when he has to hang out with the boys so he won't smell like 'something you wouldn't expect a hitman to smell like' and be teased about it. He hates it btw.

Prosciutto

= His self-care routine is either too much or too little.

= If he's having a bad day and/or is really busy, he won't even bother to do shit other than take a bath, go to bed and that's it.

= If he's in a good mood and has a lot of free time—which is both rare—then Prosci right here won't hesitate to slap products on his face and hair.

= This man can act like Kira in the morning, literally everything he does has to be right in order or he'll be salty for the rest of the day.

= Bad hair day and hair can't be properly put into buns? He'll go nuts and just be frustrated about it but will still put it into buns.

= Though i don't really headcannon Prosci as someone who smokes frequently since they're already broke, i do see him smoking atleast a few times in a month or two, so the smell just kinda sticks with him.

= Mix the scent of smoke with a cheap men's perfume then you'll get Prosciutto.

Melone

= Make Trish a pervy broke hitman then you'll have Melone.

= Though he barely cares for the women he uses for his stand, I'm sure he still lays with some of them so he has to look good.

= A creep but is still a decent human being so he pays for the shit he buys unlike Illuso.

= Is basically in a relationship with scented lotions.

= Most of them have cringeworthy names though like 'Seductive Evening Night' or something close to that.

Ghiaccio

= Instead of actually buying things for himself, he'll just rant endlessly about how stupid the products are to the point where Melone will just regret taking him shopping.

= Doesn't like wasting money so he just doesn't buy anything other than a few necessities.

= Rivals Fugo with the 'gotta stay clean obsession' but at the same time, he barely gives a fuck.

= "It's fucking pointless! All you need is soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, and a hairbrush to stay clean! You're all wasting money, you dumbasses!"

= I don't think there's much to be said about this man anymore since he already proved his point, so next!

Risotto Nero

= He smells like DEATH

= No, I'm not even joking when i said that. Mix the smell of blood and ash or gunpowder then you'll have Risotto.

= He's basically Ghiaccio 2.0 with their mindset about hygiene but he doesn't mind getting his hands dirty and is much more chill about it.

= He's not a prince charming who smells fancy, they're literally bankrupt so he doesn't have time for leisure nor does he have the luxury to afford the latter.

= I'm sorry to my fellow fangirls/fanboys but he's not the sly badboy who somehow remains clean and doesn't smell like shit after massacring 10 people in a single day.

= Literally everyone in his team—Including Risotto himself—could go on for days or even a week without taking a bath at all if they really have to.

= He and Formaggio lasted the longest by the way.

Sorbet and Gelato

= These two steals and won't hesitate to join forces with Illuso about them robbing a salon or a boutique.

OMG this is actually my fav hc ever

-So Peter Parker is def ADHD

-But since he was quiet and had good grades the teachers never complained

-I feel like he would have combined type

-it's worse after the bite ™ 

-His senses are amplified so that means sensory overload is a lot more common 

-He made his first suit really loose (he literally used a hoodie) since he can't stand tight fabric 

-Loud noises bother him too, especially if he's having a stressful week so most of the time he asks to go to the bathroom to breathe for a bit when he's in school 

-When he first tried on Tony’s suit he realized it didn't feel as tight as he thought

-This may or may not be bc Tony also had ADHD and he designed a special type of fabric

-This boy fidgets a l o t

-SInce he has super strength he has accidentally broken a few pens on accident
