You're Not Just Him

Hizashi x F!Reader

Your husband deserves a break, and you're the one who needs him to drag him away from work to do so.

Feel like I punish my little guys too much, so here's a cute lil' family fic for you lmao

Hizashi Yamada and Present Mic were two very different people. One was a very famous night radio host who also doubled as an English teacher, who also doubled as a pro hero. The other?

A big doofus who so happens to be your husband. And the father of your children, how unfortunate.

"Presentation Micheal!" You called out, using your mom voice™ on him. You were standing in front of him, hands on your hips while you blocked the view of the TV in front of him. Your two older kids, Kanato and Carmen froze on the spot. They took one glance at one another before sneaking off into their rooms.

"Y-yes, honey?" Hizashi gulped out, a sweet smile twisted up nervously.

"¿Qué es eso? What is that?" You swept your hand across the dark coffee table. You looked at him with a deep frown.

"Uh, work?" He replied nervously. His hair which was usually slicked up was now hanging loosely around his shoulders, all over the place. Most people didn't fully realize how long his hair was, it reached to the middle of his back, thick and luxurious. It was a real pain in the ass to wash.

"And may I ask you why you're doing work on your day off?" Your voice was dangerous now, a scary look came across your face. You looked terrifying, as if there was a dark shadow covering your scowling face.

"W-well! I just have a lot of paperwork to catch up on and-!" He started to defend himself, sweat building up as he waved his hands about.

You sighed, cutting him off, and looked up at him with a gentle look. "You promised you'd spend the day with us. It's a long weekend Hiz', take advantage of that!" You scolded lightly, coming around to sit next to him. You brought your hands to cup his face, slightly rubbing away the deep creases in his forehead.

He sighed, looking down at your bulging belly. You were seven months pregnant, and while you only had two months left, it still felt like this pregnancy was being stretched on forever.

It was probably because of how little time Hizashi was spending at home now. You knew his hero job was important, and you were in complete and full support of him, but it felt like now more than ever was it eating away at his time at home. His duties of being a radio host/emergency contact coordinator were also dragging him away from home, forcing him to spend fewer and fewer dinners with you and the kids.

"I'm sorry my love, you know how my job is." Hizashi sighed again, pressing a small kiss to your forehead.

"I know amor, but that's why you need to take a break. You're not just Present Mic you know? You're also Hizashi Yamada. The lovable and gentle guy with a wife and kids who love him very much." You said, concern in every word you told him. He stared at you with those tired eyes, and it pained you to see the eyebags he didn't hide with makeup.

"I love you so much." Hizashi said softly, kissing one of your hands cupping his face.

"And I love you, you dork." You smiled, pulling him into a deep kiss. His lips were soft against yours, and you put all your love and adoration into it.

"Ewww! Get a room you two!" A voice cut the kiss short, and you both looked over to see Carmen peeking from the hallway with a disgusted look on her face.

"We own this house! We'll smooch where ever we want!" Hizashi proclaimed, grabbing your face and pulling you into another deep kiss.

"Ayy! Stop it! ¡Ustedes parar!" She cried, covering her eyes with her hands.

"What's all the yelling abou-Aw sick!" Kanato cried, also covering his eyes.

You pulled away from Hizashi, both of you laughing breathlessly at one another. He put his head in your chest, stuck in a giggling fit. Your laughter trailed off, and you smiled at your two children. "I heard there's a festival going on downtown today. Why don't we check it out?"

"Okay, but only if you two promise not to kiss again!" Carmen cried.

"Sorry hun, no promises!" Hizashi smiled deviously at her, and she just cried out in misery in response.

Hizashi secured the large sun hat on you, while you checked your purse to see if you had everything you needed.

Carmen came bouncing out in the same sun dress as you were, she even had the same shoes and sunglasses you were wearing. Hizashi laughed, picked her up, and twirled her around.

"My two favorite girls are matching! How will I ever tell her apart!" He cried.

She laughed, "Mommy is pregnant, not me!"

"That's right, and you better keep it that way." Hizashi lightly scolded, though there was no real heat behind his words. Kanato came waltzing out of his room, wearing a breeze-themed tank top and simple shorts. He had his headphones in, and before he could walk out of the house Hizashi plucked them off.

"We're all hanging out together today, alright son?" This time, his scolding was real.

"Alright." He groaned, rolling his beautiful green eyes.

"You're father's, right honey, it'll be fun, I promise." You kissed his cheek before heading out.

"Yayyy! Festival day!" Carmen excitedly ran out of the house, running up to the car and trying to get into the locked car.

Hizashi scooped her up while you slid in the passenger seat, buckling yourself in while he buckled your youngest in.

Katato easily slid into his spot, and being twelve he easily settled himself in. Carmen still needed a bit of help, even though she was a capable and headstrong six-year-old, she still struggled with the seatbelt. You figured she had a slight fear of pinching her fingers in the buckle.

Hizashi then got into the driver's seat and adjusted the radio before looking in the rear-view mirror to take a peak at the two kids.

"Everyone ready!"

"YesYesYes!"

"Yeah."

"Yes sir!"

"Then we're off!"

"Ice cream mommy!"

"Oh look at that game, can I play please Mom?"

"Let me win this for you babe, it's a strength babe don't worry."

"Oh gosh, I'd kill for some food right now."

The whole time spent at the festival was time well spent. All of you walked around marveling at all the booths that were there. Buying, winning, and losing a fair amount of prizes and games made the whole experience that much more fun. Plus, you stayed late enough to watch the fireworks together while eating ice cream.

You and Hizashi realized it was time to go when your feet started to swell an unbearable amount and Carmen was starting to tear up at her tiredness.

"Oh gosh, they're not out like a light." Your eyes flashed to the two behind you. Your hand ran up and down your belly subconsciously, soothing the unborn baby to sleep in your stomach.

"Yeah, they had a lot of fun today." Hizashi said, a content smile forming its way on his face.

"They missed you and today will definitely cheer them up. I'm glad I got to tear you away from work too." You reached a hand to hold his thigh, squeezing it lightly before you looked at the window. The passing building looked beautiful late at night.

"I missed you guys too. I'm sorry work as been pulling me away. I didn't realize how badly I needed a break until you dragged me away. I'm glad you did." Hizashi looked at you, gaze soft.

"Don't look at me like that! You're making me nervous." You teased, lightly hitting his arm.

"Like what?" He laughed, soft and confident.

"Like I'm the stars and moon."

"No, you're my sun and my rain." He said dreamily, and you couldn't help but melt.

Again, about the married multiverse but this time it came to me as hobbies they could share…

Ghostsoap have a little miniature collection, nothing big, but Simon likes carving little animals out of wood when he has nothing to do and Soap every once in a while takes his acrylics out and starts painting them, some more realistically, with fur, shadow and highlights and others (in particular two ferrets that were soooooo cute) he paints them to resemble them. One with really dark fur and a white face and one with brown fur, a lighter stomach and face to which he attacked some extra wood to recreate his mahawk (when he showed them to Simon the man hugged him tight and didn’t let him go for a few minutes for how happy he was about that dumb little project

RoachGaz have a small garden, but they use every square centimeter of it to plant some flowers. They have a bunch of plants, cactuses, aromatic plants, even some Aloe for Roach's skin for when it itches more than usual, they slend hours gardening every day and have shared a bunch of kisses between the flower pots (once a leaf stopped them from kissing and Gaz laughed so hard he had to sit down to not fall down and bring Roach with him

NikPrice have something weird going on. Price saw Nik's mom crochet ONCE and after that got a mild interest. It started with simply noticing how a lit of stuff in Nik's house was handmade, expecially things like hats, scarves and gloves. The in evolved into watching without being noticed a crochet square tutorial. Then he made a little scarf. And gifted it to Nik. He wasn't able to walk the morning after for how passionate that night was (Nik let him dominate by using it as a leash to control him) and now a lot of the kinky stuff in theri bedroom instead of being leather is crochet. This also means that every time Nik wears a scarf made by Price he gets a chub

LaswellSara. So, how do you impress a wife that is super strong, works for the CIA, is super smart and is a great investigator? Easy, rubies cube variants. Sara had started resolving a few in middle school, but then lost the passion. Then when she saw one in a store at a discout she bought it and tried to resolve it at home. Skip to several months later where a whole shelf and a half is full of rubik cubes, 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, 6×6, mirror cubes with weird shapes, other shapes, coloured, variants… she and Laswell regularly try to beat each other's time record

We literally both said Roach and Gaz have a garden and I think that just speaks to how perfect the thought is. Roach likes to grow herbs for Gaz's cooking, Gaz likes to grow aloe and other things to help Roach's burns.

In this fic we explore a scenario where Macaque finds a time alterating artifact after a huge spat on the mountain (that resulted in the clip above), uses that artifact to make it so he killed Tripitaka during JTTW. Then we see his pov in this universe where things have certainly changed drastically

...and not necessarily for the better.

People change. Friends or foes found dead or alive. Cities fall and some thrive.

But one thing I can assure you?

He was drunk. They both were.

Alfyn knew they both were from the warm feeling in his body and the way Therion seemed to be smiling more than usual.

Yet he was still practically glowing with pride at the fact that he had managed to get Therion to open up- just by telling him a few stories.

There was the story of how he had managed to block the river off after cutting down an old rotting oak tree.

There was the story of him and Zeph fighting over some Sleepweed, and Zeph’s idea for a solution had been to chuck it into the river.

And he told one that Therion already knew. The one about the blotted vipers.

“Y’know, I was terrified,” he’d said 3 ales in. “I had no idea if this venom would actually work. But you.... Dohter help me, you came with me readier than a Froggen to fight. What I guess I’m tryin’ to say is that Nina owes her life to you, too.”

So now here they were, talking about nothing in particular. A couple of times Therion had mused what it would be like to be an apothecary, and Alfyn had offered to teach him- once they were sobered up.

About an hour later, Therion’s head started to droop, and his eyelids were fluttering.

Alfyn knew the feeling all too well- he was also struggling to keep his eyes open.

“Tressa, look at this.”

“Did they fall asleep together?"

“I believe so, yes. Fetch H’aanit and Olberic, we’re going to get them to bed.”

😂😂I think Ouch is a great name for a sword.

They're obsessed with wtaching videos of themselves as babies right now and we noticed how amusingly unique theri videos are. My younger son is the trolliest baby who ever trolled and all his baby and toddler videos are him doing trolly things --ripping the path lights out from beside our driveway and throwing them into the street, pulling his clothes from drawers and tossing them across the room, giggling about being up past his bedtime as a baby and feeding me the blueberries he's supposed to be eating, sneaking up on my brother sleeping on the couch to put various things from the kitchen on his lap and then poke him in the face with a wrapping paper tube, methodically carrying every measuring cup from the drawers across the house to put in the dog food.

Meanwhile my oldest son is the most firstborn who ever first-borned and his baby videos are all him doing puzzles, or immitating adult phrases, cleaning things up around the house, pretending to vacuum, emotionally checking in with everyone and patting their heads, pretending to sleep next to his napping dad for giggles, etc.

I had to work so much last week my brain is absolutely friend and I'm having a hard time remembering all the other funny and cute things they did last week, but today is a new day :)

@miwiromantics I agree. I think Jonathan is so pretty and adorable. I was just watching something with a friend last night again its a video of him doing an interview and hes so cute and shy and adorable in it.

I find Eddie attractive. But the thing about Eddie I don't like that turns me away from him the most is the fans [how everyone who isn't eddie is garbage and eddie is the most important that has ever existed ext ext we all know the deal]. this isn't Eddie's fault once again to be clear its the fans fault. But like Eddie was Jonathan with a new coat of paint. He was the slightly fancier re-do of Jonathan [I only say fancier cause Eddie is more talkative and exciteable while Jonathan is shy and quiet and keeps to himself so ppl are naturally going to like Eddie better while I'm more drawn to Jonathan types]. And the fans love Eddie and see all the good in him but not Jonathan.

There was a character since S1 being an older brother to the boys that taught them to be yourself love yourself for who you are ext-same stuff Eddie would preech later on. But Jonathan is overlooked while Eddie was the best character of all time. That's another thing that Eddie is way too over rated. And I don't mean in a 'Eddie isn't good enough' sort of way, I mean wtf to the fanbase yet again because eddie became the best character on st because they said so, but don't give any credit to the characters that have been there all along, besides maybe steve who also wasn't a part of the og group in s1 not till the end.

I'm not still not sure why Eddie did that and couldnt move the game. But I think he does it on purpose to distract him from the basketball games. But thats just a theory. Like hes set in his ways that 'well if the rest of the town is going to make us feel left out and dote on theri basketball game, then fck it we'll create our own world and have what they have too-we'll enjoy a game and bond too while they got theirs. So it would make sense why he couldnt move the game. Thats a theory, but theres got to be an explaination of why he wouldn't move it and HAD to have it on the same night as the basketball game. I don't think he was deliberately trying to make Lucas feel like he din't belong but yes he should have realized that it would do that. But maybe he didn't realize how much of an impact it would have on Lucas maybe he thought Lucas just thought it was a stupid game and didn't really care about it if he'd rather be at his basketball game then with him.

I know I constnatly say about that one too mainly with Steve but yeah with Eddie too Again no evidence of Eddie being abused just like with Steve. I mean tbf, theres more evidence for it happening to Steve than to Eddie but thats not saying much because there is zero no evidence for it happening to Steve. You're right Eddie had one throw away line about his father that didn't tell us anywhere in there that he was being abused. Unles I'm forgetting something. Meanwhile, I know that Steve wasn't getting abused but they keep making it out ike he was and that excuses his bad behavior in the past, but Jonatha deserves to be abused even more by Lonnie and other ppl. They know about Jonathan's abuse they're not ignoring it-ts just funny how they use Steves non existant abuse to justify his bad behavior, but when Jonathan is abused, he deserves worse. I'm not saying you're justified in anything you do if you were abused before-to be clear-im just saying why is their defense for steve who wasnt really abused? but jonathan who they know was abused for a fact they have no sympathy or empathy for? I am so stressed right now I'll probably watch or rewatch a Vijay movie later.

Look, some people shit on his movies because they're formulaic, not that deep, cliche, blah blah blah.

Yeah, well, when you're tired, burn out, stressed, feeling sad, it's nice to watch something that doesn't require much emotional work from the audience. I mean, sure, there are dramatic moments in his movies like Master, Bigil, Mersal, Pokkiri, Theri, and many more. But the angst or grief is not drawn out or squeezed till there's nothing left.

With Vijay's movies, I always know that I'll get comedy, fun songs and bgms, cute but negligible romance, iconic action scenes, and a charming hero who will always win in the end.

And watching these things make me feel happier, lighter, and less sad at the end of the day.

So, yeah, I'm pretty thankful for Vijay's mass movies. Sometimes, they're the only ones that can make me feel better after a long day.

misha- blakiston's fish owl

while i generally try to associate characters with animals whos native ranges overlap with where theyre from im gonna give a little leeway on this one (misha is from northern mongolia in whats now khovsgol, these live in eastern china eastern siberia and hokkaido) cause it seems like it fits misha really really well. they share a big imposing frame and permanent death glare. these are the largest owls in the world and misha is 6'10 so like. i feel like that one makes sense

tseren - golden eagle

this one was probably the most obvious choice tbh. theyre a big assertive guy with a great sense of aim so the association with a big bird of prey thats a very precise hunter made sense for them

adelita - up in the air rn but im thinking Maybe a burrowing owl. all of my fairies are pretty explicitly tied to birds especially owls and adelita canonically grew up in a burrowing owl den. look at how round these things are

jacinta - elf owl or possibly a costa's hummingbird. elf owls are cactus dwellers and thery served as the initial inspiration for my desert fairies and back when i was originally writing her i initially considered giving her a elf owl form as a magic disguise. the costa's hummingbird was a option just cause she ourple

tadai is literally just the o'odham word for roadrunner i feel like i aint need to put much thought into this one

originally i was thinking either a very disheveled little owl chick (this isnt meant to be mean to her. owls just kinda looked fucked up for the first few months of life) or a anna's hummingbird But i recently learned that the o'odham word for verdin (gi:sobï) is used as a petname for children which i thought was very cute. theyre little cactus dwelling birds and theyre very cute so it fits her

lou - remains undecided but a sandhill crane is probably my best guess for the moment since theyre really tall and lanky like him
