ANYWAYS, here's the analysis i could gather so far with just this list of characters and thru scrollin thru ur silly lil blog. hopefully it ends up being accurate, but if not, hopefully i'll get another chance to try again lolllll:

you are indeed a very silly guy. that is apparent. you get very passionate about the silly little things you're into and i have a large feeling that either you're already diagnosed with ADHD + autism or you've been questioning it for a pretty long ass time. if somehow it's none of those two, then you should probably look into it. you're definitely some flavor of neurodivergent, that's all i know. 

i feel like you've definitely dealt with some mental shit in the past but overall you've been pretty alright decently (i only say that because each time i analyze people who remind me of you, i try to see if i can pick out any specific things weighing them down and it always ends up being stuff that they've dealt with in the past but aren't so worried about anymore). however, i do feel like you probably still have a bit of a problem with bottling shit up. you're getting better at it and it's definitely a lot better than how it probably used to be, but every now and then the mental breakdowns seem a little too close for comfort.

you're probably a very sentimental person, but most people probably don't know that about you since you've never really found anybody to exactly share that side of you with. maybe there's a few people who have gotten glimpses of it, and maybe there's even one person who has seen that full side of you, but for the most part it stays hidden. most likely you keep it that way because you understand most people aren't gonna be as sentimental as you are, but i feel like part of you is also partially keeping it stored away because it's been wasted on somebody who didn't entirely appreciate it before. that might be why you know most people wouldn't reciprocate it to begin with.

i feel like every now and then you probably get the reclusive urge to just pull away from the people you care about. i only say that because i also relate to all of the characters you've listed and i absolutely do that a lot of the time. it might just be because you're tired and can't deal with people, or because it's that cynical depressive mindset that makes it hard to believe anybody actually cares about you. if that's the case, i'm gonna slap you right now and tell you "nuh-uh" because even though i do that exact same shit and i have a hard time believing it myself, you're wrong and you're stupid now sit down and keep being you you little shit.

Metal Family: Dee Headcanons

HC 1: Okay, I have to say this but, Dee’s got squishy cheeks. THE squishiest, and he hates it cause Glam likes to squish his cheeks when he’s being too edgy and it totally ruins the vibe and shit, so he’ll just get all huffy and walk away, cheeks puffed and everything and Glam finds that fucking hilarious.

HC 2: Yeah sure, it’s canonical that this boy sucks at everything love related, but then I’m like “He’s probably weak as fuck when someone kisses him.” and now we have this. He WILL buffer if his love interest gives him even the smallest kiss on like, his brow or something. He’ll just sit there, and process it for a whole minute cause what the fuck was that??? And then he’ll blush immensely and then completely leave the room. Mans just can’t take a tiny kiss to save his life-

HC 3: He craves touch. That’s it, that’s hc-nah just kidding XD. He does crave touch, but it’s not like he’s touch-starved or anything. It’s more like, he simply enjoys the feeling of someone giving him friendly touch, like a pat on the back, or a fist bump, any kind of physical contact he secretly enjoys, cause it just feels really nice to him.

HC 4: I wanna say when he’s in his last year of highschool, he’ll get a tattoo. Not anything too big and it’s pretty easy to hide, but it’s a nice hibiscus flower, pretty colors and all. I say it’s probably on his hip, since it’s not often he wears anything too revealing.

HC 5: This leads into my next hc, Dee likes flower language. He finds it clever and enjoyable that one can use such pretty flowers to create a nice message, dark message, a threat, or anything really. Flowers just mask the darker things, in his opinion. And he loves being able to tell a person a subtle ‘fuck you’ in flower, so he studied that shit quite a lot-

HC 6: Okay, hear me out here but...Dee’s flexible. VERY. Flexible. He just looks like that kinda guy who could drop into a split without absolutely torturing himself and all the boys are terrified of him for that. He can split, backbend, fold in on himself, and pretty much a whole variety of other things.

HC 7: Because of his flexibility, he actually finds a lot of weird positions comfortable. Breakin’ his body in half so his upper body is on the bed and lower body on the wall? Peak comfortability. Twisting himself really awkwardly and just sitting there? Fuckin’ nice-

Ehh. I get why it makes some people uncomfortable. People do make a lot of guy comparisons with her. I’ve noticed that she’s also always the one who is portrayed as transgender in fanfiction while Christen never is. That’s a whole other conversation though. I think people just put a lot of emphasis on the masculine and feminine traits/vibes that they each have. There’s nothing wrong with that but it can def rub people the wrong way I guess. As long as it’s just joking and not mean spirited, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Anons can always keep scrollin!

While my movie watching slowed a bit with the launch of the Summer Olympics on July 23rd, I’ve still got plenty of popcorn-ready and artsy recommendations for you. A few themes in the new-to-me pop culture I’m recommending this month:

Casts oozing with embarrassing levels of talent (sometimes overqualified for the movies they’re in)

Pop culture that is responding or reinterpreting past pop culture

Stories that get weEeEeird

July Crowd-Pleasers

1. Double Feature – ‘90s Rom-Coms feat. Lots of Lies: Mystery Date (1991) + The Pallbearer (1996)

In Mystery Date (Crowd: 7.5/10 // Critic: 6/10), Ethan Hawke and Teri Polo get set up on a blind date that gets so bizarre and crime-y I’m not sure how this didn’t come out in the ‘80s. In The Pallbearer (Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 7/10), David Schwimmer and Gwyneth Paltrow try to combine The Graduate with Four Weddings and a Funeral in a story about lost twentysomethings. If you don’t like rom-coms in which circumstances depend on lots of lies and misunderstandings, these won’t be your jam, but if you’re like me and don’t mind these somewhat-cliché devices, you’ll be hooked by likeable casts and plenty of rom and com.

2. The Tomorrow War (2021)

I thought of no fewer movies than this list while watching: Alien, Aliens, Angel Has Fallen, Cloverfield, Interstellar, Kong: Skull Island, Prometheus, A Quiet Place: Part II, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith, The Silence of the Lambs, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and World War Z. And you know what? I like all those movies! (Okay, maybe I just have a healthy respect/fear of The Silence of the Lambs.) The Tomorrow War may not be original, but it borrows some of the best tropes and beats from the sci-fi and action genres, so much so I wish I could’ve seen Chris Pratt and Co. fight those gross monsters on a big screen. Crowd: 9/10 // Critic: 6/10

3. Dream a Little Dream (1989)

My July pick for the Dumb Rom-Com I Nevertheless Enjoyed! I CANNOT explain the mechanics of this body switch comedy to you—nor can the back of the DVD case above—but, boy, what an ‘80s MOOD. I did not know I needed to see a choreographed dance routine starring Jason Robards and Corey Feldman, but I DID. All I know is some movies are made for me and that I’m now a card-carrying member of the Two Coreys fan club. Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 6.5/10

4. Black Widow (2021)

The braids! The Pugh! Black Widow worked for me both as an exciting action adventure and as a respite from the Marvel adventures dependent on a long memory of the franchise. (Well, mostly—keep reading for a second MCU rec much more dependent on the gobs of previous releases.) Crowd: 9/10 // Critic: 7.5/10

5. Liar Liar (1997)

Guys, Jim Carrey is hilarious. That’s it—that’s the review. Crowd: 9/10 // Critic: 7/10

6. Sob Rock by John Mayer (2021)

It’s very possible I’ve already listened to this record more than all other John Mayer records. It doesn’t surpass the capital-G Greatness of Continuum, but it’s a little bit of old school Mayer, a little bit ‘80s soft rock/pop, and I’ve had it on repeat most of the two weeks since it’s been out. Featuring the boppiest bop that ever bopped, at least one lyrical gem in every track, and an ad campaign focused on Walkmans, this record skirts the line between Crowd faves and Critic-worthy musicianship.

7. Double Feature – ‘00s Ben Affleck Political Thrillers: The Sum of All Fears (2002) + State of Play (2009)

In The Sum of All Fears (Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 7.5/10), Ben Affleck is Jack Ryan caught up in yet another international incident. In State of Play (Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 7/10), he’s a hotshot Congressman caught up in a scandal. Both are full of plot twists and unexpected turns, and in both, Affleck is accompanied by actors you’re always happy to see, like Jason Bateman, James Cromwell, Russell Crowe, Jeff Daniels, Viola Davis, Morgan Freeman, Philip Baker Hall, David Harbour, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, Liev Schreiber, and Robin Wright—yes, I swear all of those people are in just those two movies.

8. Loki (2021-)

Unlike Black Widow, you can’t go into Loki with no MCU experience. The show finds clever ways to nudge us with reminders (and did better at it than Falcon and the Winter Soldier), but be forewarned that at some point, you’re just going to have to let go and accept wherever this timeline-hopper is taking you. An ever-charismatic cast keeps us grounded (Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, and an alligator almost steal the show from Tom Hiddleston in some eps), but while Falcon lasted an episode or two too long, Loki could’ve used a few more to flesh out its complicated plot and develop its characters. Thankfully, the jokes matter almost as much as the sci-fi, so you can still have fun even if you have no idea what’s going on.

9. Double Feature – Bruce Willis: Die Hard With a Vengeance (1995) + The Whole Nine Yards (2000)

Before Bruce Willis began starring in many random direct-to-DVD movies I only ever hear about in my Redbox emails, he was a Movie Star smirking his way up the box office charts. In the third Die Hard (Crowd: 10/10 // Critic: 7.5/10), he teams up with Samuel L. Jackson to decipher the riddles of a terrorist madman (Jeremy Irons), and it’s a thrill ride. In The Whole Nine Yards (Crowd: 9/10 // Critic: 8/10), he’s hitman that screws up dentist Matthew Perry’s boring life in Canada, and—aside from one frustrating scene of let’s-objectify-women-style nudity—it’s hilarious.

10. This Is the End (2013)

On paper, this is not a movie for me. An irreverent stoner comedy about a bunch of bros partying it up before the end of the world? None of things are for Taylors. But with a little help of a TV edit to pare down the raunchy and crude bits, I laughed my way through and spent the next several days thinking through its exploration of what makes a good person. While little of the plot is accurate to Christian Gospel and theology, some of its big ideas are consistent enough with the themes of the book of Revelation I found myself thinking about it again in church this morning. (Would love to know if Seth Rogen ever expected that.) Plus, I love a good self-aware celebrity spoof—can’t tell you how many times I’ve just laughed remembering the line, “It’s me, Jonah Hill, from Moneyball”—and an homage to horror classics. Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 7/10

July Critic Picks

1. Summer of Soul (…or, When the Television Could Not Be Televised) (2021)

Even director Questlove didn’t know about the Harlem Cultural Festival, but now he’s compiled the footage so we can all enjoy one of the coolest music fest lineups ever, including The 5th Dimension, B.B. King, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Nina Simone, Sly and the Family Stone, and Stevie Wonder, who made my friend’s baby dance more than once in the womb. See it on the big screen for top-notch audio. Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 9/10

2. Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)

Robin Williams takes on the bureaucracy, disillusionment, and malaise of the Vietnam War with comedy. Williams was a one-of-a-kind talent, and here it’s on display at a level on par with Aladdin. Crowd: 8/10 // Critic: 9/10

3. Against the Rules Season 2 (2020-21)

Michael Lewis (author of Moneyball, adapted into a film starring Jonah Hill), is interested in how we talk about fairness. This season he looks at how coaches impact fairness in areas like college admissions, credit cards, and youth sports. 

4. Bugsy Malone (1976)

A gangster musical starring only children? It’s a little like someone just picked ideas out of a hat, but somehow it works. You can hear why in the Bugsy Malone episode Kyla and I released this month on SO IT’S A SHOW?, plus how this weird artifact of a film connects with Gilmore Girls.

5. The Queen (2006)

Before The Crown, Peter Morgan wrote The Queen, focusing on Queen Elizabeth II (Helen Mirren) in the days following the death of Princess Diana. It’s a complex and compassionate drama, both for the Queen and for Prime Minister Tony Blair (Michael Sheen, who has snuck up on me to become a favorite character actor). Maybe I’ve got a problem, but I’ll never tire of the analysis of this famous family. Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 9.5/10

6. The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972)

This month at ZekeFilm, we took a closer look at Revisionist Westerns we’ve missed. I fell hard for Roy Bean, and I think you will, too, if for no other reason than you might like a story starring Jacqueline Bisset, Ava Gardner, John Huston, Paul Newman, and Anthony Perkins. Oh, and a bear! Crowd: 8.5/10 // Critic: 10/10

People like Ai, Karin and Ayumu like shopping too, but shopping with any of them separately is like a totally different experience honestly

Rina is good with tech, so she might make some neat gadgets to capture Yuu's attention, or be particularly interested in her specifically helping with her Rina-Chan boards that day.

Supergirl season 2 episodes 6

Okay so I'm gonna do these by episode since i have too many thoughts.

PRECURSOR most of this one is going to be about mon-el and Karas relationship and my thoughts on that. So if you don't wanna read my rants or are a fan of the ship you may want to keep scrollin since im not here to hurt anyone feelings.

Okay so i really liked the beginning to episode 6 or the parasite episode. Just thought the concept was really cool and they introduced it well through the excavation team finding the wolf carcass.

About mon-el basically becoming a debt collector and beating the shit out of people. Okay so i have some greyer morals, but this is obviously not a great career choice. I think its hilarious that this is what he found first. I was really hoping he'd get start as a male escort cus C'MON. Thats just perfect for him.

I get where Karas coming from in their argument because she is the type of person to have high expectations of people. Most of this stems from her wanting to believe that everyone can be a force for good. Which is good. I mean that is how people should see others. But the thing about mon-el is her expectations are even higher because hes a Daxamite. And because she missed out on raising and guiding Clark I think she projects a lot of those feelings onto him as well. And frankly thats kind of bullshit.

Personally I don't think he owes anyone anything. I don't think he should be a hero just because he's *special*. I mean honestly its been shown again and again hes just a dude. So is kara, so is Clark. They just happen to have powers. So its hard to watch this person who obviously doesn't want to be a superhero, and frankly i think would be quite BAD at it be strongholded into being made to believe that hes a bad person for not not wanting to. (and subsequently abusing his powers and making a profit off of them. *cough cough* Okay yeah thats fair kara). But yeah um more on that later. Final thoughts on episode 6. I cant lie the ending made me laugh. Like mon-el is actually trying really hard to like "be a good person". now i dont go into the adhd, autism, that kinda stuff hcs. they're still interesting to me, but alas, that’s not the area i usually look into. however, something i noticed in a lot of fanfics stuff about toh is that a lot of people hc Luz as adhd. but personally, id see her more as a high functioning autistic kid..? having hf autism myself, there’s just a bunch of things that are p relatable about her to me that made me go “huh, cool” Amity could prolly fit a different variation(? different symptoms idk what to call them shush) of it, but

little things that just fit my own experience, being.. alive something like.. how she seems to ‘not fit in’, not knowing general social rules, maybe sometimes not understanding certain ‘social cues’(? expressions? fvgbh i’m stupid ok i had it better in my head like 3 hours ago) unless told outright or directly (so like, maybe that’s why Luz seems so ‘oblivious to amity but not her siblings, since they outright call her cute amirite amity haha compliments hahahstraight hai-) along with getting easily distracted, (a thing that is indeed present in autistic kids too, very fun ((disclaimer;)kinda not at times)) and her special interest thing with Azura and magic, looking into it as much as she can, from fanfics to fan theories. it can also explain how she was not ‘normal’ (or perhaps not... ‘ordinary’, one might say-) on earth, or, as i had said earlier, had ‘not fitted in’, which is what may make her seem strange and difficult to engage with by her peers, school staff, and her own mother included. (lastparttotallywasnteditedfromthefandomarticle) but yes since I've had this in my head all day, and i am only just forgetting half of the points that i had for this, its not as many points as i had planned to make. there’s also the autistic Amity thing, which i also find p interesting, however Luz personally is more relatable with my own version. (friendly reminder that not all autistic kids have the same ‘symptoms’!(is that what you call them idk I’m stupid)) but there’s my mini take on it. no sides or anything, just had to throw that out there.

Here's some cool facts about Fennec Foxes

Fennecs are very social animals, who live in colonies of up to 10 in the wild. This smallest of the wild canids often purrs like a cat when it's content. (Isn't that just cute?!!)

Like other small animals, fennec foxes use scent as a defensive mechanism. Although they're not on the level of a skunk or a ferret, fennec foxes do have scent glands on the tips of their tails. This gives off a musky odor when the animal is startled or stressed. (ohhh can be good thing to remember)

Fennec foxes have a soft, thick, short coat that is off-white on the underside and reddish or tawny on the back, with some black markings on the back and tail. (Soft!!!)

They are very active, quick and agile, and have a high pitched yelp. (does this remind you of someone's new quirk technique?)These foxes are nocturnal (it's 1 a.m. go to sleep already, nerd) in the wild although a pet fennec usually adapts somewhat to its owner's schedule (so you don't wanna bother your owners? That's polite...) They are clean animals and can be litter trained, although owners have varied opinions on how easily.

 They are curious and will get into anything and everything. They are also known for their digging. (hey, by any chance do you lil guys write in a notebook? or a dozen notebooks?)

They need relatively high temperatures; anything below 68 degrees Fahrenheit and you're likely to see your fennec fox shivering. (So if you dont keep this boi warm he's gonna suffer!? UNACCEPTABLE! Let's see....now which U.A. boi has really high body temperature...?? Anyone? Nobody??...aww..)

They are extremely quick and if they run after something as they would in the wild, they can be very difficult to recapture (sounds like someone recklessly running through the woods...)

And even though fennec foxes are nocturnal in the wild, one of their favorite activities is basking in the sun. (Cuteness overload!!)

So the idea is,

Villain/Civilian Quirk: you know the drill. Quirk can make Spirit Animals appears. Katsuki gets 'almost' caught in one, but Izuku comes to push him out of harm.

Result- A Wild Fennec Fox appears! Oh...but it can talk? No, wait...it's telepathy! Katsuki can actually hear this fox talk! And he seems to be the only one who can hear it?! And why is Deku unconscious?

The Fox- turns out the perpetrator is missing. But they have a sibling with a similar quirk who explains the effects.-

A spirit Animal is born from a person's emotional psyche (which is why most Animals are smol because it reflects how little they think of themselves)

they have a special ability (not exactly like quirks or as powerful)

they need skin contact with their Master to continue living more than food or water(snort! ofc!!)

(But is that all there is to it? Hmm...details details)

What does the fox say- Fennec!Deku is skittering about trying to see who it's Master is. A Master can hear their Familiar speak when others can't. Katsuki does NOT want that responsibility. No one knows who this cute animal belongs to, and Katsuki is avoiding Deku like the plague!

The Bond- The further the Master is from the Spirit Animal, the sicker it gets. Also, if the bond between the Animal and the Master is one-sided, the Animal falls sick too.

At a class exercise, Deku figures out that his Master is Katsuki because Deku's muttering in his head and relaying positions of other students with respect to Katsuki's position. Katsuki is so used to the constant muttering in his head that he doesnt think twice about taking advantage of it, thus falling neatly to prove Deku's hypothesis.

Cue Confrontation. Awkwardness. Angst. Fluff. The works. They make up afterwards.

Katsuki starts to take care of the fox unwillingly

Real Deku is still in a coma and no one knows why except him, Chiyo, All Might, Aizawa and the Principal

Katsuki sees the Fox get sicker and Foxie thinks he knows why- it's cause their bond is one-sided and Katsuki doesnt want him around. In true masochistic fashion, he keeps quiet about it till he gets Really REALLY sick and Katsuki has to carry Him around with constant skin contact - e.g. HIS NECK

oh but wait! There's a Shadow lurking in the U.A. campus...and it's hunting down Spirit Animals? Is Foxie!Deku safe? Is anyone at U.A.? Is it a Villain?!!

▸ is your muse tall/short/average? pretty teeny, since he’s only twelve years old. he IS a couple of inches taller than zim, though, and he tends to rub that in his face ( since his species judges one’s value in society by their height ).

▸ are they okay with their height? it doesn’t get to him most of the time, since he knows he’s going to wind up growing more with age. besides, his father is super tall, so he’s bound to inherit that, right? part of him can’t wait for that, so he can TOWER over zim and tease him mercilessly about it. ▸ what’s their hair like? WEIRD. his hairstyle is very similar to his dad’s, a very short head of hair topped with a very long spike. i don’t think it’s prehensile like his father’s is ( i don’t recall whether or not dib’s hair ever had bones in it, jfc ), but...it sure is a thing.

▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair/with their grooming? dib’s hair Stays like that even when he sleeps; that’s cartoon logic, but hey, who’s to say that membrane hasn’t invented a long-lasting hair gel or something ( provided that dib’s hair ISN’T just a weird ass fucking limb )? that being the case, No, he doesn’t really spend a lot of time taking care of it. ▸ does your muse care about their appearance? not really. he’s only into fashion to the extent that his outfit ( specifically, his jacket ) is inspired by those of “noirish spies,” but that’s pretty much it.

▸ does your muse care about what others think about them? GOD, YES. he craves acceptance and validation, ESPECIALLY from his father. when it comes to people like his classmates and teachers / other adults, he sort of just wants to rub the truth ( about aliens and the supernatural ) in their faces so he’ll stop being called crazy.

PREFERENCES

▸ indoors or outdoors? a bit of both; he isolates in his room frequently, either to compile research or spy on zim with cameras, but some of his supernatural research also requires him to spend time in the outdoors. that being said, he does enjoy it; camping out in the woods and gazing up at the stars is always fun, and so is visiting the cemetery. ▸ rain or sunshine? he started enjoying rain a lot more once he figured out that it was one of zim’s weaknesses -- now he looks forward to every thunderstorm. before that, though, he didn’t really have a preference for either. ▸ forest or beach? the forest, big time! the forest has the potential for BIGFEETS & he can camp out & stargaze!!! the beach is okay and all, and has cryptids of its own that he could investigate someday, but it’s full of people and sand -- neither of which dib is very fond of.

▸ precious metals or gems? metals?? psh, who needs gems. ▸ flowers or perfumes? flowers, i GUESS, not that either would really be appreciated unless it was haunted, cursed, or supernatural in some way fsddfs. ▸ personality or appearance? personality. appearance is the least of his concerns; if he just found someone who believed in him, in the paranormal, who could see things for what they were and actually LISTEN to him ?? he’d click with them instantly. ▸ being alone or being in a crowd? being alone. crowds, and people in general, are extremely unappealing. ▸ order or anarchy? leans more toward anarchy, even if he doesn’t actively resolve to act on those beliefs; he sees a LOT of flaws in society and the way things operate, and has plenty of distaste for authority ( ESPECIALLY after being arrested once and being put in an insane asylum ). ▸ painful truths or white lies? painful truths, most of the time; white lies are more of a last resort for when he’s intimidated ( i.e. telling gaz about his reasons for cursing her with pigmouth while she was threatening his haunted gummy bears ).

▸ science or magic? both -- the two can co-exist! he uses science to fuel his research of the paranormal, and someday, when the world has awakened to the existence of the supernatural, he wants to bring the two fields together. ▸ peace or conflict? peace, ultimately; however, his actions in the present lean more toward the conflict end of the spectrum. he tends to mess with zim even before he’s done anything wrong, all while justifying it in his own head as “the ends justifying the means.” ▸ night or day? night. i think i’ve already established how much dib loves stargazing -- he always loved outer space and was fascinated with it, and aliens were always the cryptids he was most enthusiastic about meeting ( until zim, that is ). ▸ dusk or dawn? dusk. ▸ warmth or cold? cold; his favorite season is actually autumn, both holiday and weather-wise. sweating is annoying and the humidity makes it hard to enjoy spending time in the woods, cemeteries, or infiltrating zim’s base. also, since his trenchcoat is just Part Of Him now, he really doesn’t like removing it for the summer ( and that leads to even more sweating ).

▸ many acquaintances or a few close friends? I DON’T NEED FRIENDS, THEY DISAPPOINT ME

▸ reading or playing a game? reading; he spends most of his time doing that anyway, and he really sucks at video games.

▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits? his paranoia in general is a big one -- he refuses to trust most people after what he’s been through, and that leaks into a lot of his behavior. sometimes he even doubts the reality around him, since some of zim’s tricks have involved trapping him in simulations that mimic “ideal” versions of the world around him, and that’s really messed with him.

▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them? how has it affected them? unless you count the dog he and gaz had when they were younger, or mr. dwicky ( who didn’t even die, he just sort of abandoned dib in the middle of an evidence-gathering mission ), he hasn’t really lost anybody. the dog didn’t affect him too much, but in dwicky’s case, it definitely intensified his trust issues.

▸ what are some fond memories your muse has? little things here and there -- moments where gaz actually supported him or picked him back up like in enter the florpus; a few times when he, gaz, and his father all played video games together; and that one time when he and gir spent a few days together while zim was stuck in foodcourtia, since he got to pester zim’s leaders, and also sort of just chill with zim’s sidekick for a while. ▸ is it easy for your muse to kill? definitely not. he makes petty threats here and there, and absolutely has twisted daydreams about zim on an autopsy table, but there’s no way he could follow through on any of those things himself. not unless zim went TOO far with one of his plans.

▸ what’s it like when your muse breaks down? it’s very brief, but there’s a taste of it in enter the florpus. he bottles it up for as long as he can, but it eventually erupts in the form of him falling to the floor and just sobbing -- he hates crying in front of other people, so if it ever gets to this point in front of anyone else, you KNOW it’s bad. ▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life? not really. ▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love? A RELATIONSHIP WOULD BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM,, does that count as an answer?? it’d be really rare for him to fall for anyone like that in the first place, but if he did, he’d probably be really...insecure about it. i can see his future self being the type who would have all sorts of issues with commitment, if he ever started serious relationships in the first place, and refusing to acknowledge Real feelings for people.

Dean huffed as he closed the motel door. Glancing around, he noticed Sam was still out chasing his own lead. The elder Winchester rolled his shoulders before sitting on the edge of his bed. He let himself fall back into the blankets.

The sound of fluttering wings caused him to peek an eye open. Sure enough, Cas reappeared holding his angel blade. Dean closed his eyes again.

Cas groaned in agreement. The demons, per usual, were too cocky to give anything up. The pair simultaneously hoped Sam was doing better with his lead. After all, Sammy had a knack for finding another rock to look under.

Realized Cas hadn’t said anything in awhile, Dean opened his eyes again, sitting up. Cas was staring in the direction of the blinds. He appeared morose and lost. This dark expression wasn’t knew to Dean. In fact, the hunter could recall several occasions where the angel had thought no one was looking and allowed himself to feel...something he didn’t enjoy doing.

Dean glanced at the ground, contemplating. He flicked his gaze back to see it hadn’t changed. With that, the man pulled himself off the bed and started walking toward the fridge. He gave Cas a solid pat on his back.

“Alright, sit down.”

Cas knit his brows. “What? Why?”

Dean half smirked. “We’re gonna have a beer.”

“But Dean, I don’t get-”

“Dude.”

Cas swallowed before nodding. In a way, the angel realized what Dean was trying to do. He doubted that he understood just how difficult this could get. Regardless, he knew Dean wouldn’t leave it alone. At least, not since he brought it up. So, he obliged and sat across from Dean at the little kitchen table.

“Here.”

Cas took the open bottle. He watched the condensation drip from the neck of the bottle and down until it cooled his thumb. He kept his gaze low. Dean took a swig before focusing entirely on the angel.

“Alright, what’s going on in that freaky angel head of yours?”

“I...I don’t think you’ll want to know...”

“Why not? Listen, Cas, we’re family. And part of being family is talking about the crap we don’t wanna talk about. So, spit it out.”

Cas made slow eye contact with him. He sighed. “I keep thinking about when I...when I pulled you from Hell...”

“Oh,” was Dean’s quiet reply. Hell was not a pleasant memory, but Cas needed to talk. “What about it?”

Cas’s eyes flicked toward Dean’s covered shoulder. The hunter caught the quick movement with ease. The lightbulb when off in his head. 

Cas had to fight through Hell. He held Dean so tightly that he left a mark on his shoulder, a handprint. That handprint signified and reminded Cas off all the battling and struggles he had to get through both in to Hell and leaving Hell. 

If he were being honest with himself, Dean hadn’t really thought about that before. The pair had only talked about why the hunter was topside, not how or what were the consequences, just who. The Winchester twirled the bottle in his hand. Cas had moved to staring at the table again. He had yet to sip the bottle.

“You know I remember everything from...there,” Dean whispered.

Cas nodded.

“What do you remember?”

“Dean-”

“No, I’m serious. What happened? What kept you from dropping me?”

Cas met Dean’s gaze with slight shock. “Dean. You know what I was like back then, how I was blindly obedient. All I knew was that you had to be alive.”

Dean nodded. “Yeah sure, orders are orders.” he paused, “Look, sometimes I took orders from my dad and followed through because they were orders. Other times, I had the extra incentive of it involving Sam’s well being.”

“Your point?”

“It was never ‘just an order’,” he finished, “Now tell me, what happened?”

Cas frowned as he finally understood what Dean was trying to get at. He knew what happened; he had all the memories of Hell. He just wanted Cas to talk about, to start healing. The angel took a deep breath that involved moving his shoulder. Dean settled into his chair, patient.

“Well, getting into Hell was a lot easier. Only low level demons were sent after me since no one knew what I was doing. But, then I reached where you were. I knew I had to get you out, so I swung around and wrapped my arms around you. I told you my name. Then I,” he swallowed, knowing he was going to get the worst of it, “I’m the one who gripped you tight and started back upwards...”

Dean listened as Cas spoke of what happened to him that day. In Hell’s time, it was much longer. Topside, it was about three days. Hell time, it was over a year. For some reason, Dean couldn’t remember being rescued, but hearing Cas tell of it, he realized the angel had made sure he didn’t remember the horrors of flying up. Story after story, tale after tale, Dean realized just how colossal it was that Cas had done this successfully...and he lated repeated it with Sam. 

Cas was right before, Dean hadn’t shown him enough respect. Now, he would never forget that.
