I know you're fixating on Cleo right now, but I watched Pearl first and I can't stop thinking about her side of things. Just - circumstance kept bringing her and Martyn together over and over again, so she wandered with him for a bit! She doesn't want to be alone and besides, they're just having fun while they look for their soulmates, what's the harm? She gets asked to go on an adventure and agrees before she sees the portal. She's getting resources with a buddy! (pt. 1/2)

pt 2: But then they get back to the surface and she keeps seeing all of these soulmates having fun together and starting to bond and it's great! She can't wait to find hers. Martyn is so excited to play his soulmate game and Cleo and Scott are there to play as well! And THEN Pearl figures out that Scott is her soulmate and she gets maybe a minute of thinking about a GGG reunion before Scott and Cleo reveal that they're leaving. And then Martyn leaves. And she's alone because of circumstance. AHH
