There were times that Lloyd Garmadon forgot that he was a kid. There were other times that it hit him so hard in the gut that he couldn’t breathe.

This was one of those times.

Sometimes, everything just hit him so hard all at once. This time, it was just... it started over something so stupid.

He’d been making a sandwich. Nothing weird, nothing irregular. But then he’d dropped one of the pieces of bread, the one with peanut butter already spread on it, facedown on the floor. And he just... lost it.

Still holding the knife he’d been using, he started crying. And then his breathing became quicker and his knees gave out and he was sitting on the floor, sobbing over a piece of bread.

But it wasn’t over a piece of bread. It wasn’t over the bread at all.

His uncle, who’d been there for him when his father hadn’t been able to, was gone. Maybe forever. His mother had been off searching for months, and he hadn’t heard from her since she’d left. His father was dead. He had no family left.

For the longest time, Kai and Nya had been the big siblings he’d never known he wanted. They were all he could have asked for, and more.

But now they had their parents, and why would they still need Lloyd now that they had a real family?

The knife clattered to the floor, slipping out of his shaking hands.

His entire bloodline was a mess, and now what were essentially his adopted siblings truly didn’t need him anymore, and the other three, who were just as much brothers to him as Kai and Nya were, well, they were never around either. Not of their own wills, there was just so much ninja business to be taken care of these days, but still. Lloyd found himself far alone far too often.

He just wanted everything to go back to before the time twins had ruined his entire world. His dad had already been dead, and they hadn’t just rubbed salt in the wound, they had torn it open until he was bleeding out.

His sobs wracked his entire body, and he was too cold and too hot all at once, and he was being torn apart. By what, he did not know, but he was.

“Oh my FSM,” he heard, and he couldn’t even try to pull himself together. It didn’t matter anyway, because Nya had already seen him, hunched over against the cabinets next to a lonely knife and a piece of bread with the crusts cut off pasted to the floor with creamy peanut butter.

She rushed in, Kai close behind, and sat beside him on the floor. Kai sat on the other side of him, pulling him into a hug.

“Hey, hey, what’s going on?” Kai asked once Lloyd remembered how to properly breathe.

Lloyd sniffled, shaking his head. It was stupid, just a sandwich, and he didn’t need to bother anyone about it.

“Lloyd, we’re here for you. What’s wrong?” Nya asked, rubbing his back in a soothing motion.

He wanted to tell them. He wanted to unload all his troubles onto them and let them tell him that it was all going to be okay. But it wasn’t going to be okay, and he couldn’t tell them.

“We can’t help if we don’t know what’s wrong.”

He wanted to tell them.

He wanted so badly to tell them. But this wasn’t something that could be fixed with a Kai Hug™️. Most of his problems weren’t, but telling Kai and Nya about them usually did help...

The words were spilling out before he could stop himself and the tears were still coming and he couldn’t breathe.

“Oh Lloyd,” one of them murmured, and he was wrapped in a hug from both sides. His breathing calmed.

“I promise you, you will always be our little brother.” Kai said, ruffling his hair. Lloyd smiled, just a little, already feeling a little better.

“And you can always talk to us whenever you’re feeling like this, you know. I’m never too busy, and I mean, it’s not like Kai has a social life—“

“Hey!”

Lloyd laughed. A real, genuine laugh, and for a moment, he forgot why he was so sad. Nya grinned to herself, because that was exactly what she’d been aiming to do.

“Come on, Green Bean, we’re going out for ice cream. Aaaannnd Nya’s paying?”

Nya rolled her eyes. “Fine, but only if you pay next time.”

“Yeah, yeah, totally.”

Okay so the smith sibs as oni, piling around a post S5 ill Lloyd (he has a bad fever and is shaking)

Their lil bro is vulnerable, and oni instincts tell them to keep the cub safe and warm.

Everything I produce has an in-depth lore and a system of interconnected and complex headcanon systems behind it. Especially my things related to S5.

Some of these systems only took about an hour to think up, some of them took a year.

Anyway.

I also headcanon Misako to be of drassulian origin (secretly a royal), and it perfectly justifies her strangely worried and mother like behaivior in S5. Because she knows the consequences of possession.

And whenever she seems hopeless, Wu tries to convince her it's gonna be fine, because Wu doesn't know that Misako has every reason to believe that her son ain't gonna make it.

But anyways let's go to the Smith sibs. Kai has a violent breakdown when he's given the hour count and its meaning, and something very similar happens with Nya, just with added guilt (if she had powers sooner they could've attacked Morro and saved Lloyd in time, at least in her opinion)

Sure! I love them so muc TuT. I’ve posted some before, but I can’t remember off the top of my head always which things I have and haven’t said already when it comes to post-ILM headcanons, so apologies if I repeat myself a little.

Michael takes a while to be comfortable around other people in general, but gets there pretty well eventually, and becomes a normal part of the gang. Philip is especially helpful (both to him and all the other past-killers) in working out ways to get through that past.

His cat almost dies the first year he has it, but Claudette is visiting the day it happens and saves it, and he and the cat both love her after that.

Michael has a really weird relationship with Nancy bc her introduction to him was not as The Shape but as “Oh this is Laurie’s weird brother,” but somehow they turned that weirdness into a really great mechanic and vibe well together.

Since Michael thinks Quentin is biologically his brother, then half-brother after he meets Alan Smith, he considers Alan kind of a weird step-father and Anna kind of a weird step-mother. Luckily for everyone involved, he doesn’t think about this much.

Laurie and Michael go mma on each other sometimes after the first few years just for old time’s sake and it’s kind of amazing to watch.

Everybody in the group gets pretty fluent in sign language after a while to communicate with Michael easily. It’s much appreciated by Laurie.

Michael is successfully able to learn how to read and write at adult levels after a few years with Laurie’s help and she is unbelievably proud of him and not afraid to show it, which he finds both embarrassing and enjoys.

Both of them come to stay with Quentin a lot, and it’s really nice for all of them. Alan does a very impressive job of being welcoming to the two murderers his kid has made part of his personal life 🤣 (poor Alan, without context getting Michael and Anna—thank God he has his kid who will give him the world’s most in-depth and sympathetic explanations). Michael gets interested in art by the stuff Nancy keeps/makes out in the shed, and she talks him into trying his hand a little. Sometimes they go do that together, or talk Quentin & Laurie into joining and do a group drawing party while talking or listening to music.

The headphones were a good gift, and listening to music/tuning things out is very helpful to Michael sometimes he finds, when dealing with psychosis symptoms. Sometimes if he’s having a rough time, he will go sit out on the porch in silence and listen to music, and Quentin started going to join him when that happened if he was visiting, and would just sit beside him in silence, listening to his own headphones as a move of solidarity. One time a month or so later, Quentin was having a really bad week and couldn’t sleep, and got up and was just chilling downstairs on the couch, listening to headphones, and Michael came over wearing his and sat with him. Now they regularly both do it as a solidarity act together if either of them needs a break from life. They never really talk about it—just go sit on the porch together and listen to their own music—but they don’t have to. They know. :’-]

Laurie & Quentin have both physically attacked strangers more than one for stuff they said to Michael.

Quentin takes Laurie (and Michael, if it’s a kind he could enjoy, which is unfortunately rareish) to concerts, and does insist to her dismay on bankrolling stuff for her whenever he can once he’s eventually a doctor. Laurie gets this with both barrels, because David constantly does this too, and she appreciates it, but is also low-key stressed sometimes.

Laurie: I’m gonna grab a smoothie real—

David&Quentin, shoving handfuls of money her way: “Here, for the”—“I’ll pay”

Its a little weird for Michale when David & Laurie start dating, and he feels threatened because the man had less than nothing in the entire world before his sister and he worked things out, and he does not want things to change back, but he is assured by both Laurie and David that nothing will change, and after experiencing that/seeing it is true for a few weeks/months, he calms down about it. Eventually kind of likes the idea of having a 2nd brother, as Quentin puts it to him. Already liked David pretty well and gets to know him even better, now that he has a level of personal interest in him, and they get along pretty well. It’s weird, because they are incredibly awkward @ each other, but that gets better and all four of them (sibs + David) have a lot of fun doing things as a group.

Michael got to see like, none of the world at all most of his life, so he greatly enjoys travel/sightseeing, and is interested by most of what is out there to see. The first time he went boating was a really great day for him, and kind of a fantastic experience. David took them out on a lake (p early on, year 2) and it was one of the best feelings he’d experienced. Since age 6, all he’s really gotten to see or do was walk around and stab people in small realm cages, or sit still in a white room from age 6-21, and the world couldn’t be a lot more full of wonder. Laurie takes to casually explaining how things work a lot out loud when they go places as little fun “did you know?” Kinds of facts, so that in case he doesn’t know, he won’t have to ask or feel embarrassed about it. Several of the others start doing this too after a bit.

Laurie plays piano, and Michael is fascinated by that, so Laurie teaches him how to do that too. Sometimes he and Quentin, who is still learning guitar, will practice together. Laurie tries to pretend she doesn’t love listening as much as she does but it kills her w happiness when they do.

After quite a few years, Laurie tries out teaching literature, history, and philosophy at a local high school. She’s incredibly nervous. Technically she doesn’t have a college education and is using forged documents, and just has private study and some courses in those areas specifically out of love for the topics/interest, and she’s afraid she won’t be good at it. Her friends try to talk her up and reassure her. Quentin and David throw a celebration for her first day when she gets back, and all her friends/the realm fam & extended family (Nancy, Alan, etc) come. The biggest help is Michael, though, who just goes and stands outside all day near the school where she can see him through the window—which should be horrifying, all things considered, but actually helps. It’s just incredibly funny to her, because it’s visually so similar and contextually couldn’t be more different from the last time he stalked her at a school, so she chills out and gets through the day fine. Runs outside and hugs him at the end of it. Michael is very proud of himself. Then Laurie has an amazing surprise party when she gets home.

Laurie does not stay a high school teacher for that long, but she really enjoys it while she does it.

While Quentin is at school with Nancy and Claudette and Philip, Laurie and Michael come to visit quite frequently, and sometimes the whole group of six has game or movie or book nights, or goes off on a mini trip or night out.

After a couple years of their tradition with Judith, Michael and Laurie start to invite Quentin along too and he is both touched and nervous, but goes, and comes to quite a few of the picnics regularly, because he’s a sibling of the family too. Michael is excited to introduce him to her. :’-]

How I feel about this character

oh i think lloyd’s adorable! i love how much character development he went through, and i respect him for being able to find determination and strength through all the bull he was put through as a kid.

i personally do not mind ships (as long as they aren’t incest or before he’s aged up, obviously), however i don’t really ship him with anyone in particular.. in canon anyhow. i do have an oc i hardcore ship ‘em with but that’s a lil complicated & i don’t rlly wanna get to into it djfhhfksnf

godman trio

cindy and alexandar godman started essentially out of nothing but lust. after two failed marriages cindy wanted to find the one, to be wooed and adored and the reason to make everyone else jealous of her life. she wanted powerful, handsome and rich which was exactly everything alexandar was, a promising f1 driver who dazzled crowds with his talent and turned heads by his looks. the pair managed to make their marriage work for nearly twelve years but to this day god knows how it worked out because it should have ended on the second year. 

three children were born from their union: arabella, mira and sirius (these names are mere place holders for the request but star names ftw). despite the bickering and the normal sibling arguments, the godman trio - or sometimes referred as godman triple threat - are impossibly close and supportive and of one another. if something is off, if one misses the love from home or simply because they want to be in other company they will be there ready for whatever. 

it’s important to note that a lot of issues that might exist between them or the “baggage” they carry from their childhood/upbringing not only stems from their parents poor relationship but also from the incredible strong pressure cindy puts on her children, especially the girls. from day one cindy wanted to make her girls be the best and the topic of everyone’s conversation. she controlled, to an extent, their wardrobes, their hobbies, their friends, their diets and whatever else she could put her hands one to make sure she was crafting the perfect products. this is loosely based of the hadids as seen on this video, so details and all the rest is up in the air for discussion.

the mysterious dazed one: arabella, 24. pretty much mumma godman took in the fact ara was always a bit of an odd one, doing things her way and had this dark alluring aura to her with her dark hair, light eyes and devilish smirk.

the all american girl: mira, 22. it surprised almost everyone in the family how mira was almost the perfect opposite look wise to her older sister: blonde hair, graceful feminine features, a kind soft smile and this warm aura to her that attracted people to her like a magnet. seemingly the only feature they had in common was the blue eyes but no one could deny how mira was almost like a mirror image to arabella and it took cindy no time to explore that. (face suggestions: scarlet leigthold, meredith mickhelson, rachel hilbert, any blonde face with blue/green eyes that can pass as barbara palvin’s sister)

the baby: sirius, 20. maybe because he’s the only boy and cindy felt like she needed to protect him more than his sisters or maybe just because sirius never really showed much interest for the spotlight but truth is the youngest of the trio was left pretty much to the side of things until he was into his mid-teens and cindy realized his son was the missing puzzle piece: two gorgeous girls who were opposites and the balance between them to make heads turns. (face suggestions: lucky blue smith, troye sivan, neels visser, jordan barret, any blonde or brunette male with blue/green eyes that can pass as barbara palvin’s sibling)

so i recently realised i could set the fic after In the moment we're lost and found so that's happening :D

everything that happened in 4x10 is the same except gwen's already queen and lancelot's still alive cos ain't nobody got time for that shit

the boy is found in the woods by a patrol like the day after freezing cold soaking wet and absolutely terrified

elyan's the only one he lets near him and to start with he lives in the next door room to him in the knight's corridor and has nightmares like every night

after a few nights of this they move into the smith's old house in the lower town that gwen's just left so the boy's not literally surrounded by the source of his trauma

the boy's still pretty terrified and el's pretty eehhhh about the knights and everything now anyway so lowkey quits and starts working part time at the forge bc the people they gave it to have just had a baby so it works out well

the boy is scared of the dark, water, silence and cold so the forge despite not being the most child friendly place you can think of is actually really good for him :D

poor elyan's going through a very confusing time bc he went through this trauma that's completely turned his view of arthur and the knights and literally everything upside down he and percival literally just confessed their feelings and kissed, he's barely thought about ever being a parent and KAZOINK suddenly he's got this kid who is dependent on him he's up every night with him he's worrying about how he can ever be as good a father as tom was even when he had to work so much of the time and elyan can afford not to do that but what if he lets the kid down anyway like he lets everyone down-

thankfully he has gwen and percival to help him as the boy starts to trust them too and el doesn't have to do this alone :')

gwen teaches the boy knitting and brings him cakes and she's the second person he becomes comfortable around

el's like to percy ik we weren't expecting this and you didn’t sign up for this and its ok if you don't want to be with me- and percy's like wellll you didn't sign up for this either maybe let's just see what happens?

percival's mother was a druid so he's familiar with some of their traditions and stuff some of which the boy remembers so that helps a bit and he's so gentle and def had younger sibs and even though the boy doesn't trust him to start with he does grow to

it doesn't happen officially in the fic but yeah later on percy adopts the boy too :D

the boy still gets overwhelmed when there's a lot of people and different noises so gwen makes him a matching hoodie thing to el to help block out some of the sound :D

he really likes hugs but only from elyan and even when he starts to make happy memories and isn't so frightened he doesn't really talk or smile much but no one ever bugs him about it <3

he doesn't remember very much of his life before and doesn't even remember his own name which is so sad but elyan tells him he can pick a new one for himself like el did himself and after elyan tells him about his dad he settles on thomas <3

i do have another fic set like four years later even tho the timelines are a bit shaky that's much more likely to get finished and is basically just pure fluff, magic's been legalised over the course of the last fic, elyan and percy are married and thomas has a little sister, percy's left the knights too and is the physician's (merlin's) assistant, and things are just wonderful 🥰

Gasppppp. What happened to Michael cat?? I'm glad he's okay. Also, out of curiosity, what comments about Michael made Laurie and Quentin throw hands??

Michael cat chapter will be a mini segment I write sometime for sure, so I’m not gonna go into detail, but it got hit by a car, though the complication is much more complicated than that sounds. It was a holiday and vet was closed, but Claudette was visiting, and she saved it. Poor thing was in really bad shape, and I think that day was the closest Michael has come post-realm to having a serious dangerous relapse—he was not okay.

And idk if it’s stuff I want to repeat TuT re: Michael. Michael is a big and intimidating 6+ foot tall man, but he’s also got multiple disabilities, several easy to spot, and that’s enough to entice some people to be awful, because some humans are the absolute worst. Sometimes strangers have said something not chill about his inability to speak, or lack of emotiveness, or the way he moves, and made fun of it, and he got his intelligence mocked once at an event for misreading a sign and going in the wrong place (still in the midst of learning average adult levels of writing and reading, since his stay in Smith’s Grove deprived him of the education he should have gotten by his 20s). Often Quentin and Laurie just either try to descalate or shout people down, but while Michael is not generally an easy person to hurt/insult with words, he is vulnerable when it comes to things he knows he “should” be able to do/know (should being a relative, and unfairly applied term—he has no control over the symptoms of his psychosis, or his stay in a sanitarium and mistreatment there. And he’s doing perfectly fine in life—learned sign language, communicates emotively fine w people who know him—he���s just different from “standard” bc limited motor and muscle function, and he’s not stupid /at all/, he’s catching up to adult education reading levels at an impressive speed, he just has a lot of work to make up, but he’s unfortunately still very sensitive about those things and does not like them—especially his reading and writing problems), and there have been a few particularly nasty moments and comments that provoked enough rage to get one or both of them to throw hands for him. Sometimes the initial clap-back shouting match from his sibs @ someone who says something shifty provokes more and worse comments in a “What are you gonna do about it” tone instead of apologies or shutting up or fleeing, and that’s how most of the times went, but a few were real bad right off the bat. People can be real assholes : / . Fortunately, he has fiercely protective siblings who love him and do not allow this to go unpunished.

I should mention bc I love them that this goes all 3 ways. Michael won’t hesitate if someone says something shitty or sexually aggressive to Laurie, and kicked down on the hood of a car a guy who street harassed/said something very lewd at Laurie was driving at the time so hard it flipped and he destroyed the engine block. They had to flee that scene... but Laurie could not have been happier. Quentin has absolutely thrown hands @ people taking it too far in bars getting up on Laurie, and both Laurie and Michael have thrown hands for him—specifically @ people who said shit about his scars, or recognized him from the news and called him a liar and an attention whore in excessively unkind and aggressive ways. Laurie is the type to like get your hand and crush it while smiling and being like “maybe rethink your life,” and Michael will just grab someone by the throat, pick them up, crush something he physically should not be able to crush with his free hand as a very clear warning, and then throw them onto the ground before they actually choke out. It’s extremely effective.
