I was looking for pictures of the kdrama and stumbled upon an old livejournal community from back when it was still airing. There was a post with pics of ep 13 before it aired so people were speculating what would happen and one person commented "I see Jandi took over Junpyo's place as the leader of the F4 after he left to Macau" and it's not exactly what happened, but I love this concept.

Whenever I think about someone replacing the leader in the F4 it's always one of the other boys, but imagine them being so lost without him that they start following his girlfriend around instead because it's the closest thing to it, and her being so confused about it because they don't leave her alone 😭

“The Incredible Hulk” (1962, issues 1-2)

It's time to start putting multiple stories in a single post. Why?

Cause these ones SUCK. You could not force me to pay 12 cents in the modern day to obtain these.

The Hulk is grey or blue in his first issue, which isn’t really a problem but does deserve attention. Also, Bruce Banner’s face reminds me slightly of Hank Hill’s, so to me he sounds like Hank Hill.

More pressing is like - the Hulk is just as eloquent as Banner! The transformation triggers not when Banner is enraged, but during nighttime, and it reverts at day! This feels wrong.

At least Banner has a character - he’s very kind and willing to help anyone. And he’s a rather subdued individual. The Hulk is the antithesis of Banner. That’s about it, though, and everyone else is even flatter. Betty Ross only exists to be a dame in distress and to fawn over the mild-mannered Doc, contrasting with her constantly-yelling father who himself is essentially little more than a caricature.

Bruce Banner’s initial transformation is famously triggered by saturation with a lethal dose of gamma-rays, because while testing his new “G-bomb” he sees a teen delinquent has driven into the testing zone and runs out to save him. This leads to our next problem…

The Hulk. Has. A sidekick. This feels wrong. Rick Jones is a fierce teen who refuses to leave Banner’s side, even when he turns into the Hulk, because Banner is the first person in all existence to show kindness to him.

The Hulk’s very first villain is a commie spy who attempts to steal his gamma-bomb formula by letting the bomb kill Banner. Thus begins our Red Menace villain counter, which will actually jump to 2 in this double-issue, because our next villain… is “the Gargoyle”, a USSR super-genius who uses a mind-control pistol to abduct the Hulk (and the kid too). Pssh, and they say comics used to not be political. Damn, but this one’s rancid!

Say, won’t there be a Hulk villain later who is mutated into having a large head and super-powerful brain by gamma ray exposure? Is that just a more successful redux of this guy?

I like these pieces of art, especially since the color of Banner's face in shadow is rendered close to the tone of Hulk's flesh.

Second issue: not better in any way. Aliens use “magnetic grapplers” and a “magnetic mind-detector” to find “the most brilliant scientific mind on Earth”, which is… Bruce Banner? I guess this must have been before they really decided to commit to a unified continuity. Also, if those technologies use magnetism to accomplish their effects, does that mean Magneto has an intelligence-sense?

The only cool thing in the second issue is that, once abducted by the aliens, Banner transforms because the craft passes to the dark side of the Earth, making it night. Despite how cool that is (WEREWOLF IN SPACE!!!!), that doesn’t save this issue. I’m not even going to bother detailing the last 50% of the plot, it’s so stinks.

Soo I was looking at the future line up possibility for Prema… I thought I could share my thoughts.

Ollie Bearman – Announced to drive for Haas F1. Pretty predictable after his performance in Jeddah. Baky confirmed that he is ready for F1 and for the car he’s gonna get.

Kimi Antonelli – Announced to drive for Mercedes F1. It was almost certain with Toto pushing him. I’m kinda worried we’ll end up with a Logan type of situation but I’m still confident in his skills.

Arvid Lindblad – Announced to drive for Campos F2. It appears that Redbull Junior team and Campos have some sorts of arrangements so it’s a logical thing.

PREMA 2025 LINE-UP

F2

Gabriele Mini – Remarkable drive this season, I’m still gutted about the championship. Prema will likely keep him.

Dino Beganovic – I know it’s unlikely, the streets are saying that he’s going to less expensive team because of a lack of fund. But Prema might still try to keep him since they don’t have anyone else to sign in F2. (I’m trying to manifest it)

F3

Rafael Camara – He is absolutely crashing the FRECA championship so it’s just a logical step up for him. Plus, the Ferrati Driver Academy seems to be close with Prema.

James Wharton – He is in a really good position in the FRECA championship and has already made his F3 debut.

Alex Powell/Freddie Slater – Okay so this the complicated part. Freddie is MaxVerstappen2023-ing the Italian F4 championship and should go directly to F3. But he doesn’t have an academy backing… I think it’s by choice and good for him but without an academy backing him, trying to skip a level might be hard. So, my second guess is Alex Powell. Mercedes junior since a long time, he made his debut in single seater this year in Italian f4 and has shown really good results. He has multiple podiums in overall championship, several rookie wins, he is now leader of the rookie championship and 5th in overall. For comparison, Arvid Lindblad had 8 rookie wins, 4 pole positions and 6 wins in the whole season. Right now, with still two rounds left, Alex has 8 rookie wins, 5 podiums and 1 pole position. My other argument is that Mercedes might not want two drivers in the same championship which leads me to the next point.

FRECA

Rashid Al Dhaheri/Kean Nakamura Berta – Rashid had a good performance from him in F4. Good contender for a freca seat. Kean also had a really good performance especially for a rookie and with the help of Alpine he might go up.

This is where it gets complicated again.

Doriane Pin and Maya Weug could continue F1A since they are only in their first season. But they both had FRECA experience (Doriane currently, Maya in 2023 plus a round this year), and looking at their results in F1A this year, they could manage a transition towards FRECA. Doriane is likely to do so, continuing with Iron Dames or maybe switching to Prema. Maya could maybe transition with PREMA also.

And this where my point from earlier could take place. If Doriane continues in FRECA, Alex might not be on the FRECA line up especially if she continues with PREMA. Mercedes might not want two drivers in the same championship.

So third seat, either Alex Powell/Freddie Slater– So for the first two it’s the same argument as before. Freddie might not be able to jump directly to F3 and Alex might go here if Freddie get the seat.

F4

Honestly here guys, I have no idea. Tomass is likely to stay maybe with Kean and Dion. Prema might do the same as they did recently with Oleksandr Bondarev and bring Luna Fluxa in after she turn 15.

F1 Academy

Tina Haussman – Likely to stay for a second season. She hasn’t had the best luck in this season so she couldn’t prove her talent.

Nina Gademan – she’s likely to take a seat in F1A after her impressive debut.

Always #that fanbase who claims that it was ALWAYS their faves who did the sacrifices. Yeah what about Monaco? What about the consecutive tows on qualifyings after the summer break last year when a switch every race was agreed to?

It is funny how that demonic sect always bitches about "(name) is a team leader! (name)'s decision influences the team heavily!" but when shit they don't like happens they go "oh no! mercedes what have you done??" when their driver COULD, in ALL of his power, open his mouth when he disagreed on something

That's a man reaching his 40s and yet they treat him like he's an inexperienced F4 driver. Everything they do to him and his car, he consented to. This is not like a backmarker team sabotaging a rookie driver. He had a decade of experience MY GOD.

I unfortunately think her injuries and everything surrounding that humbled her a lil bit which is understandable but also kinda sad cause she always was and will be that bitch but last year was such a rollercoaster I feel like that should do the trick into shifting her mindset. We'll see when next season starts but if it didn't I don't think there's anything in the world that can cause she was in the trenches at some points of last season and still dragged the team to the f4 that the only lost by 1 point despite no one thinking they'd get that far. If the simultaneous highs and lows of that ain't get her to remember who she is like mufasa said and inspire her to lock the fuck in and remind everyone else then she's just not her like I thought she was and there's nothing I'd hate more than to be wrong about her.

her injuries definitely knocked down her confidence a bit and i do think external criticism seems to weigh on her. it took her half the season to really find herself again. i still prefer the way she carries herself now. she’s much more mature and level headed but i need her to start taking over games again.

paige is a natural leader but i think she wanted to share that leadership position with aaliyah and nika. next season will really help her take the lead again. geno and her high school coach both said the same thing about her she’s an unselfish player which i think is great but she needs to learn how to strike a better balance. we know what she can do i’m not sure if she believes it.

geno said she’s one of or the best player to ever play for uconn but she doesn’t act like it. he probably gets so frustrated with her because he loves that she’s like that off the court but hates that she’s like that on the court.

Men find some new female comic character to blast their insecurities and lack of babes out on every so often and with the announcement of the f4 in Marvel Rivals currently it is Susan Storm!

Now I would like to preface I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to f4 comics compared to others. I have read a decent amount but I’m more of an X-Men person. I do however, do lots of research on Sue (because I love her).

You could have Wolverine fuck the universe or Charles assault women but no, they’re fan favorites while Susan Storm, well Susan Storm is ‘for the streets’. Obviously the most brought up people are Black Panther and of course Namor.

Firstly, it is important to understand, and I will bring this up more, that there are so many instances in comics where the fandom has collectively decided that something was not canon because of how poor the writing was for that character and how out of character it was. Obviously a fandom can’t retcon anything but it’s more of like a… understanding between everyone. It is mostly just brought up by people looking to hate on a character (who haven’t even read the comics) but instead just read the cbr articles and think they’re set. This is something that is used a lot with Sue. She the first female Marvel character and being female many people just don’t know how to write her (men). And of course when you think women what do you think… ah give her an actual personality? No no women don’t have personalities… uhm give her some new ability? No no that’s stupid, women don’t need to be strong… oh yes yes yes, let’s just shove her at different men because that all women do!!! Ah genius genius! Well done boys, let’s go make history! This tactic is even seen today as men still can’t wrap their heads around the existence of women (cough cough Rogue 97).

This is basically what was with her and BP. It’s sad when the argument is “it’s not canon because I don’t think it is” but I’ll get to the real stuff later geez geez. Also they straight up just don’t do anything. Like nothing was done and the rest I blame on misogynists.

Now Namor, Namor and Sue truly are the worst things that have happened to each others characters. Not only do they make the other worse in canon but also from a story telling standpoint. Can’t even comprehend where this conjured interest from Sue came from from these writers because with the f4, there is nothing likable about him. I mean yeah he’s a good leader and fights when them lots but he’s also like an absolute incel to Sue who literally hits her when she rejects him (this was actually Ultimate but it definitely was not crazy out of character when you think of all the stuff 616 Namor has done to her). There was like a whole love triangle thing at the start of Namor’s introduction that was just used for Reed’s character (woww a female character being sacrificed for a male characters development, never heard this one before). Everyone brings up the whole “Namor… I’m married” or whatever all the time and I’m just like shut up. Namor and Sue have never actually gone all the way and I just hate this whole thing.

Most male writers just see Sue as a plot point for Reed and I’m sick of it. She obviously has some amazing runs and comics but then sometimes you can just smell the sweat and misogyny coming off of a different one. I’m sorry this post was mostly me just complaining about male writers but I try believe this is all their fault. Susan Storm is an amazing character that is, as I said before, constantly sacrificed for the development of other male characters and these moment of just poor writing are being brought up to justify hate against her. I mentioned this at the start of the post but I’m ‘bout to take a 180 here and say, who cares if that woman sleeps with other men (she doesn’t) but literally every other male character in comics is out ‘sneakin with another lady. Nobody ever talks about how the shit Hawkeye and Daredevil are pulling out in the ‘streets’. All I have to say is read the Comics!!! The AI Google thing is, a lot of the time, not right about Comics. Hop off the cbr articles and get your musty ass to a read comic book store, goodbye

New Love and Deepspace au/series poll!

I have a few ideas in my head, but alongside fixing stuff here and there for other bots, tweaking stuff, and moving bots... I figured I'd try a quick poll for the next series so I'll know what to focus on! I still have, like, a few bots from when I held requests that I haven't made because my brain isn't braining for those, but they will be done and any other request informally given has still been noted somewhere if I remembered to list it down (sorry for the wait!!!)

Idk how many people on Tumblr follow me for my LaDS bots in particular but like, most of you who actually talk to me are for sure from the fandom soooo... I don't mind even if it's just the seven or so of you who show up in my notifs HAHAHA love u guys.

For clarification, I consider mini-series to be different from just making the same au for each bot. Series examples would be the Philos University and Philos Manor series. This is not the same as just making yandere/alpha/boyfriend versions for all the boys, which is more on just au versions. In this poll, there are options for both.

Also, all of these will include Caleb because I miss him, I love him, I need to make more of him...

general idea number one: Mini Series — Royalty AU, harem-ish (like the vampire one, but maybe more connected and more romantic for sure) where it's all the boys vying for you. Kinda arranged marriage vibes, too, I guess? Like my other series, it'll be 2nd POV!

general idea number two: AU Versions — Ex-Boyfriends! This is pretty straightforward. If you also follow my LOVER series, you know I'm a sucker for exes (not my actual exes tho they all suck just the concept lmao) and the pining and exes to lovers idea.

general idea number three: Mini Series — Mafia AU, may not be that romantic, but I'm still aiming for a harem-ish vibe and definitely... thrilling? I was thinking I'll also maybe do duo or trio bots for this one (the F4/F5 ones from the school series for this AU are a little too much I think) and also, you're the boss leader (sorry Sylus) ((on that note, I also kinda wanna add Luke and Kieran into this one...)) And again, in 2nd POV.

general idea number four: AU Versions — Girldads! I had an anon mention wanting to see girldad Zayne and I figured I'd also make one for the rest. This is under the assumption that you're also married to them, so it's also Husband AU and domestic.

i somehow guessed 7/9 like two weeks ago (i say as if 5 weren't predictable)

the lineup is....alright. it seems that neither xingxing or daeul wanted to debut (xingxing kept saying no apparently and daeul kept making an X with his hands...?) so this is...interesting. im thrilled that zai made it in, i really wasn't expecting much but he was quite safe in the end. im a bit sad for daeul and xingxing but what can you do at this point...the most surprising part to me were the top 9 candidates actually (and hangyuls rank but im valiantly ignoring it). yoojun was definitely on the way up but i wasn't expecting rank 10...i wonder if hangyul fans tried to save him (and zai, maybe)? given the way this group was looking i think xilong wouldve fit well, but clearly he dropped quite a bit. i also haven't talked about congb, but i think he was kind of screwed over by the show being so short & all of the trainees who came in with large fanbases. i dont think he fits the top 9 but i wouldve been super happy to have him. anyways, ill do some brief member by member commentary:

shao ziheng: clear center from day 1, im glad he got it

junhyuk: my heart was beating so loudly when he wasnt called, i didnt realize he had so many rich fans since i never saw his name when galaxy donations were popping up. im proud that he's #2 but also still confused lmfao. im so happy that i didnt really have to worry about him on this show but the fear when 6 - 4 were called and he wasnt there kind of made up for that 😭

xu shihuan: i dont hate him but him being top 3 is annoying, sorry. i hope his family buys a lot of albums. also annoying that the ppl who do paid votes dont even start early to give the rest of us time to adjust to that person being in the top 9. like 37 to 3 just doesn't look good my guy

xinche: im a xinche supporter sorry. the problem that a lot of nugu groups run into is that they have a lot of talent and no stan attractors and well. that will not be a problem here. i almost expected them to be more of a variety group than a music group (unfortunately) and xinche's bond with hangyul, junhyuk, and zai especially will come in handy. plus, another rich fanbase. do i like his rank? no. is he ready to be a musician? no. but i think he'll be very popular and an asset to the team

pentor: there's not much to say about pentor. i love him, i think he's great, im glad he's debuting, that week where he dropped a bunch was scary, but all was corrected in the end. i think he'll be a great idol (again), i almost just wish he was on a better show actually. he seems to have a good bond with everyone so im not *expecting* issues, but i hope he doesnt run into an issues being the only thai member/only member without others who speak the same language. i know his mandarin is pretty good though so that's great. wow, more to say than i thought

hangyul: his rank bothers me but i suppose this proves that his fans are poor but dedicated. from to 2 to 6 does kind of make sense with the paid votes, i just had no idea that junhyuk's fans were richer 😭 tbh with his enduring popularity from the unit till now i think hangyul will still socially be treated like a top 3/5 member. plus he has a good shot at being the leader which will help his visibility

zai: my boy made it 😭 i wasnt scared about my main main picks bc i couldnt conceptualize them not making it but i was voting for zai like my life depended on it. i liked him ever since that pic of him in that hat dropped (i was having grandiose visions of an exo 2.0 and he was giving chanyeol) but then realizing just how close he was to hangyul and especially junhyuk made me a bit more desperate 😭 i almost bought firefly votes for him and the only reason i didnt is because iqiyi kept buffering lmfaoooo.

donghwa: so uhm. did the slb 9 pick make anyone realize that f4 isnt real or what 😭 anyways hes talented and im not mad at him debuting but i did stop voting for him in r1 because i was uncomfortable with his past. idk how that's gonna impact the team in the future. i think the prodction shouldve switched to highlighting han jeongwoo once calls not to vote for ydh started getting a lot of attention but by then "f4" was already locked in. we'll just have to see i guess. also lowkey, im not a hater but some of the things he does makes me side eye a little but that'll hopefully go away lmfao

lee daeul: kind of already said my piece but i feel sort of bad for him. at the same time, if he didn't wanna debut he should've dropped out instead of thinking that there wasn't a chance. to be blunt, and I've said this before: this was not the show for daeul. he needed to find a company (now we know that 143 is absolutely awful-boycott madein, support gaeun- but theoretically that shouldve been a good place for him if they hadnt dropped him, which didnt really make sense in the first place) and train for a bit before making a debut in a cuter group that gets to wear sweaters a lot. instead he is here. i think he would be more popular in a standard korean group so this probably wont do his career many favors. unfortunate

polarix as a whole: i like a lot about this lineup. this could go well or this could go poorly and it all depends on the company. if they dont get gen1e'd (activities in china only for the chinese members while the rest get nothing) and they dont get classy'd (trapped in a money laundering scheme) and they dont get loona'd (stuck in a contract where they cant profit) and they dont get uniq'd (where the market doesn't know where to put them and thus they dont get many group opportunities) and theyre not just straight up unpopular, it could be okay! i hope a company that wants a successful group takes them. money is super important but wanting your group to promote and do well is pretty much even more important and that's the true killer of so many groups. pls promote them well. whatever company they end up under 😭🙏
