Behind The Scenes - Chapter 21: Change Of Location
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Steven was packing up to go back home. He was excited to go back, but after his birthday they cut their trip short, and Greg had to go back to work at the music shop. Rose had stuff to do, and he wanted to go back home.
He grabbed his jacket and packed it. Someone knocks on the door.
“Come in!” Steven said, Rose walked in. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, Steven smiled then walked over to her and hugged her, Rose smiled and lifted him.
“Are you done packing?” she asked. Steven nods.
“I am,” he said.
Rose smiled then walked out of the room, placing her son down. Steven went downstairs, Steven sat on the couch to watch Cartoon Network on TV.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
They were on the plane headed back to Deleware, Steven was playing on his DS on the plane. Greg was listening to music and Rose was reading.
They’ve made it back home. Greg and Rose took a taxi and they went back home. Steven was excited to go back to the beach house.
They arrived back at Dewey Beach and they were driving back to the house. Steven’s eyes widen as he sees something wrong…
“Mom… Dad?”
“What is it—“ Greg said stopping as he saw it, he was looking at it for a good minute. The cab stopped as they stepped out, and the taxi driver opened the door in shock too.
In front of them, their beautiful beach house that they had for seven years, burned… Steven stood there stunned and wide eyed. Rose was the first to move, Steven’s eyes welled with tears as he ran to the remains of his home. A man with long brown hair grabs him. He was holding him in the air.
“LET ME GO!” He kicked and screamed, he trashed until the man let go but he didn’t, Steven’s tears flowed out of his eyes until he stopped. The man sets him down. He didn’t want to go now. He stood there, Rose walked up slowly to their home and walked up the stairs, carefully not to damage it, she could always use her float powers. Rose looked at the dark, charred wooden floor beneath her feet and saw their salvaged things, she picked up her scabbard that also had her sword inside of it, her flag was saved too, and Greg’s signed acoustic guitar. Photographs, VHS tapes, books, movies, all their things, Rose picked up a photograph and it was the photo of her and Greg’s wedding.
Rose shut her eyes, everything that they worked for was gone in an instant. Greg was stuck. He saw their lives crumble before their eyes. Sure that Greg had his parents, Rose’s parents, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. But…. Forget it! He did have his family and his son. Greg looks at his son, his pride and joy. And his amazing wife. Without her, he would’ve crumbled with having to raise Steven by himself in Deleware.
“Rose?” Greg asked. Rose grabbed everything, jumped up, and landed safely on the sand, dropping their things. She looks at her hands and then backs up at the house again.
It was unreconcilable now…
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
“COME ON, AMES!” Adrain said, cheering her on. Ameythest hits the ball with the metal baseball bat and ran all the bases. The other team that they were versing against was losing, and losing badly. It was the last inning, Amethyst was about to get to home base. She slid and touched home plate.
“SAFE!” the umpire said. The team all ran and hugged her, they lifted Ames and carried her.
“Let’s get some Taco Bell!” Coach Mekela told her team: Ameythest and the team cheered.
“Hey, Dad! Can you drive Sam and me? We're getting Tacos!”
“Sure!” he said, standing up and walking towards his truck.
Sam and Amethyst both went to his truck and they got food with her team.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
“That’s the last of it…” Rose said, closing the doors to Greg’s van, Steven sat on the charred steps of the beach house, Everything was gone. First, his best friend. And now. His house….. What else could go wrong?
“Hey, Schu-Ball, how are you feeling?” Greg asked his son. Steven crossed his arms and leaned on the railing, surprisingly. It didn’t collapse from the weight.
“How do you think I’m feeling?” Steven mumbled to his father. Greg rubs his son’s back. Feeling the warmth of his hand and he leans into him, tears wells in his eyes again as he chokes out a sob.
Greg smiles sadly as he hugs his son, Rose walks to them, and Greg looks at his wife, he takes his thumb and wipes his eyes.
“Everything is packed… Time to start our new lives in California..”
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Steven was sitting in the back of their van, Greg and Rose were going to take turnes, Greg was driving for a few hours, and Steven looked out the window.
“Steven, you want to listen to some Blink?” Steven looks up, his mom is looking at him. Steven sighed and nodded.
Greg played some Blink-182 and the song, ‘I Miss You’ started playing. Greg and Rose both sang the lyrics as Steven cracks a smile.
Maybe this drive wouldn’t be so bad…. He thought to himself as he enjoyed the song.
Forty-two hours later. And they’d made it to California, Greg let Rose take over since she didn’t need much sleep so she drove the whole way there. Greg and Steven were both asleep in the back of the van where their stuff was.
Rose pulled out her phone and called Greg's mother.
“Greg?” Misty asked, Greg was now driving to where they lived.
“No Miset, It’s Rose. Uh…” She rubbed the back of her head with her hand, then put a hand through her hair.
“We have a problem… Were in Los Angeles again.”
“Wait, I thought you went back to Delaware?”
“We did, but…” Rose paused, looking at the reirview mirror to see his son asleep on the mattress with her husband. “Something happened to the house, Misty…” Rose sighed, looking out the windshield, she was driving through Hollywood Hills. Rose could see the Hollywood sign-up ahead.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Rose finally drove up to the house and parked behind Misty’s black 2006 Mersidaies Benz C-class. Rose woke both her husband and son.
“Were here?” Greg sat up, Steven opened his eyes, went to the back, and opened the doors. Rose, Greg, and Steven all got their stuff Misty was waiting for them as she helped.
“Thanks for taking us in, Misty. I’d ask Garnet again but, she had us for six weeks already. We don’t need to bother her again.”
Misty smiled. “It’s no problem, Rose. I love having you guys over. Oh, and I have a surprise for Steven.” Misty said, Steven looked up at her in surprise. He wanted to get in the house ASAP to see what it was.
“Can I go in the house to see, mom?” Rose smiles and nods, Steven runs into the house and looks around.
“Misty? I can’t find it!”
“It’s out back!” Misty said
Steven ran out back and saw a trampoline, it had a net around it. Steven was starry eyed then his smile grew. “OHHHHH MY GOSHHHHH!” he said, running to the trampoline. He climbed on and was jumping and having a good time.
“You got him a trampoline?!” Rose said in shock.
“Why no—“ Misty almost got the wind knocked out of her as Rose pushed her. “Out of my way! momma’s gotta trampoline to jump on!” Rose giggled as she climbed on and jumped with her son.
Steven was jumping higher because of Rose’s extra weight.
“Mom! I’m jumping so high—AHHH!” Steven laughed going back down and jumping again. Rose smiled and kept jumping with her son. Greg walked outside, flipping his hair so it will be behind him and smiled.
“Looks like they're having fun on it,” Greg said, taking out his phone to take a picture of his wife and son.
Misty smiles. “I’m going into the music room if you need me.”
“Okay,” he said as he watched his mom leave.
Rose leaned her sword against the wall of Greg’s room. She sat on the bed and sighed, she saw a skateboard by the door, She got up and took it.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Steven was in the living room, watching cartoons, Greg walked downstairs.
“Hey… How are you feeling?”
“Alright… I-I….” He sighed and looked at his feet. Greg puts a hand on his back. Steven hugged him, tears flowing out of his eyes.
“Buddy…. I know you miss home, and I miss home too, but… You have to remember your family is here.. Your friends are here too. Hey! And you can finally go to a new school where you don’t get made fun of all the time for your gem.”
Steven brought his knees to his chin and sighed. Greg hugged him and put his hrybrid child on his lap and stroked his curly hair.
“Steven. I have an idea. Why won’t you text Lucas so he can come over? I can take you guys to the arcade in Santa Monica Pier and we can get ice cream.”
Steven smiles and nods. He would like that. Greg smiles too, Steven takes his phone out of his pocket and texts Lucas.
Greg pats his back and he got his shoes on.
Lucas texts him back with a yes. Steven smiled and then looked at his dad. “Hey, Dad. he said yes. And he texted me to pick him up,” he said. Greg nodded and grabbed the keys to his van. Both Steven and Greg got in and they headed off to Beverly Hills to see Lucas.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
“Wait, so you're living here now?! awesome!” Lucas said. Steven nods.
“Yeah, it’s weird because we just went home hours ago, and now we're back….” Steven sighs. Thinking about the beach house which was now burned down because some ding dang wackos decided to light a bonfire next to it or something….
Steven looks at him and smiles, He and Lucas are going to spend a lot more time together.
Lucas and Steven were at Santa Monica with Greg, Steven got ice cream, and Lucas too, Greg was leaning on a railing looking at the beach.
“At least we have our surfboards, we can go surfing one of these days, how bout it, Schtu-ball?” the boy smiled, he liked that idea.
Lucas and Steven went to the arcade. They were both playing until it was time to go back home.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
That night, Greg and Rose were in Greg’s childhood bedroom. Greg sighed and lay down next to his wife. Rose rolls over and puts a hand in his hair.
“You okay, babe?” Greg nodded and lay on his back. The silence eating at him.
“You know… I never knew that I would be living with my parents again. Even if it’s temporary.” Greg chuckles at that. Rose put a hand on his chest and traced the fabric of his shirt with her finger. Greg smiled and closed his eyes.
“I know… It’s just so we can get back on our feet, Greg.” She tells her husband. Greg darts his eyes at her and then to the other side of the room.
“That’s the place that we’ve met and decided to settle down, Rose… We had so many memories up in Delaware.”
Rose put his hands in his hair and kissed his head, Greg curled up to her put his head on her chest, and sighed.
“Hey…” Rose said, still stroking his hair. “We could make new memories here, and we can enroll Steven in a new school. A school that he won’t get made fun of for being different because of his background.”
“Your right, Rose…. I love you so much.” Greg said, closing his eyes and falling asleep. Rose fell asleep also.

The ceremony that honored Henry Fonda was the first and only one not to have a host / presenter.
Henry Fonda: “I dated Lucy once. I guess you could say I didn't really plight my troth. I cry myself asleep a lot because if I had plighted by troth properly, they might've changed the name of that studio to Henrylu.”

Leslie Uggams and the group Sha-Na-Na perform musical numbers and Albert Brooks does a routine about holding auditions to find a new national anthem.
TRIVIA
Although video of this special is scarce, photographs show Lucille Ball interacting with host John Wayne and performing a fast-paced dance number. There are no photos or other records of Henry Fonda's role in the celebration.
John Wayne also hosted a similar patriotic variety show, “Swing Out, Sweet Land,” in 1971. Lucille Ball did a serious monologue as the internal voice of the Statue of Liberty. Bob Hope and Leslie Uggams were also involved in both shows. Mark Twain was a character in both.
This special was ostensibly to mark the General Electric Corporation's (GE) 100th Anniversary, which came as a surprise to many as it had just celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 1970! Although the company was formed in 1895 by the merger of several smaller companies, GE eventually decided that its Anniversary should be marked by the day Thomas Edison himself formed the company in 1878. This change was primarily for advertising purposes – and this special was one of those marketing strategies.
From 1953 to 1962, GE sponsored the anthology series “General Electric Theatre” which, like “I Love Lucy,” was aired on CBS. It was hosted by future US President Ronald Reagan. Henry Fonda played clown Emmett Kelly in “The Clown” aired on March 27, 1955.
In 1952, Lucille Ball was featured in a print ad campaign to promote GE Ultra-Vision television sets.
“America Alive!” (November 9, 1978)
“America Alive!” was a short-lived hour-long NBC daytime show which featured consumer tips, relationship advice, entertainment news and reviews, and comedy, from its home studio in New York City as well as remotes from Los Angeles.
Cast: Jack Linkletter (Host), Lucille Ball and Gary Morton (Co-Hosts), Henry Fonda (Guest)
TRIVIA
While Lucy and Gary were in a California studio, Lucy was supposed to interview Henry Fonda, who was in their studio in New York. The following day, host Jack Linkletter infers that it wasn't strictly an interview. Linkletter doesn't specify what happened and there are no video records of the interview.
The following day, Lucy spent the entire hour taking questions from an audience of students at UCLA.
“The 36th Annual Golden Globe Awards” (January 27, 1979)
Lucille Ball was the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Henry Fonda was in attendance to support his daughter, Jane Fonda, who won for Coming Home and received the Henrietta Award for World Film Favorite. Fonda was also a presenter.
SPEAKING OF HENRY....
In 1971's “Lucy & Carol Burnett: The Hollywood Unemployment Follies” (HL S3;E22) the ensemble sings “Hooray for Hollywood” with specially-written lyrics that mention Henry Fonda and his children Jane and Peter.
In 1973's “Lucy and Joan Rivers Do Jury Duty” (HL S6;E9), Lucy and Joan are on a deadlocked jury they compare to the film Twelve Angry Men (1957) starring Henry Fonda as the holdout juror.
“Lucy Moves to NBC” (February 8, 1980) kicks off with a tour bus driving through Beverly Hills and the tour guide's voice announcing the homes they are driving past, including the Henry Fonda’s. When the bus reaches Lucille Ball's Roxbury Drive mansion, Lucy gets out of the bus – having hitched a ride from after her downtown shopping trip. In real life, the Arnaz family actually did live in the same neighborhood as Henry and Shirlee Fonda as well as James and Gloria Stewart and Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone.
Henry Fonda died in 1982.
Shirlee Fonda: "She [Lucy] was always calling or coming over to see him when he was ill. And after he died, she was one of the ones who always included me in social gathering. When I gave that first party after Henry's death, I said, 'Lucy, you have to be there and help me get though this.' And she was there for me, for 100%"
Lucille Ball died in 1989.

Watchmen (2009)
Action, Drama, Mystery |
Watchmen is a American neo-noir superhero film based on the 1986–87 DC Comics limited series of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Directed by Zack Snyder.
A dark and dystopian deconstruction of the superhero genre, the film is set in an alternate history in the year 1985 at the height of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, as a group of mostly retired American superheroes investigates the murder of one of their own before uncovering an elaborate and deadly conspiracy, while their moral limitations are challenged by the complex nature of the circumstances.
In an alternate United States, beginning in 1939 during the fading Interwar period, a team of costumed crime-fighters is formed – the ”Minutemen”. The 1960s Vietnam War era through the mid-1980s Cold War sees the rise of the “Watchmen” team of heroes, whose existence dramatically affects world events. In 1959, after his apparent death in an Intrinsic Field Generator accident, Dr. Jon Osterman remakes his body as a god-like being dubbed “Doctor Manhattan”. The U.S. government utilizes his powers to win the Vietnam War and gain a strategic advantage over the Soviet Union which, by 1985, threatens thermonuclear war. The Comedian suppresses evidence of the Watergate scandal. By overwhelming public support, the 22nd Amendment is repealed, allowing President Richard Nixon to win a third term.
As anti-vigilante sentiment sweeps the nation, coupled with a nationwide police strike, the Keene Act is passed in 1977, declaring all “costumed adventuring” and “vigilantism” illegal. While most heroes like Daniel Dreiberg and Laurie Jupiter retire, Doctor Manhattan and the Comedian become government agents, and Rorschach continues to operate outside the law.
Director: Zack Snyder
Writers: David Hayter (screenplay), Alex Tse (screenplay), Dave Gibbons (graphic novel illustrator), Alan Moore (graphic novel)
Stars: Malin Åkerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Patrick Wilson

How Homeowners Can Prep for Hurricane Florence -- And What To Do After It Hits
ATLANTIC OCEAN – SEPTEMBER 10: In this NASA handout image taken by Astronaut Ricky Arnold, Hurricane Florence gains strength in the Atlantic Ocean as it moves west, seen from the International Space Station on September 10, 2018. Weather predictions say the storm will likely hit the U.S. East Coast as early as Thursday, September 13 bringing massive winds and rain. (Photo by NASA via Getty Images)
For homeowners in the path of Hurricane Florence—or even outside of it—it’s likely too late to add appropriate storm insurance. Flood insurance policies require a 30-day waiting period, while wind insurance typically comes with a 15-day one. Either way, with Florence set to hit the Carolina coasts later this week, the window has passed.
While there’s a chance that homeowners’ and car insurance policies can still be altered, those changes typically aren’t allowed if a hurricane watch has been issued (which the National Hurricane Center predicts will be by Tuesday morning, in many spots.)
Still, homeowners aren’t without options. According to experts in the insurance, restoration and lending spaces, there are still ways to protect yourself—and your real estate investments—even as the storm surges forward.
Have a plan.
According to a survey by BELFOR Property Restoration 60 percent of homeowners don’t have a disaster preparedness plan. Nearly half say they haven’t thought about it, and 45 percent don’t know what items to have on hand during an emergency. The National Hurricane Center offers resources for creating a family emergency plan, as well as what to include in a disaster supply kit.
Be prepared—even if you’re not in Florence’s exact path.
“Hurricane Florence may cause extensive inland wind and flood-related property damage to states like Tennessee and Pennsylvania, so people far from the Carolina coastline need to assess their insurance coverage for wind and flood-caused damage.” — Michael Barry, Head of Media and Public Affairs at the Insurance Information Institute Make sure you have wind coverage if you’re in a hurricane-prone area.
“There are two primary insurance policies that protect homeowners from natural disasters: homeowner’s insurance and flood insurance. On the homeowner’s policy, the consumer needs to be certain that ‘wind’ is a peril covered under their policy. There are many ‘non-wind’ policies sold in coastal areas. The price is considerably less, but for good reason. There is no coverage for any hurricane or tropical storm wind coverage on a non-wind policy.” — Blaise D’Antoni, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Burns & Wilcox
Gather your insurer’s info.
“Once the storm has passed, homeowners should reach out to their insurance agent or directly to the company to file a claim for their damages. If they have a local agent, remember, they may also be affected by the storm, on a personal or professional level. Insurance companies normally set up catastrophe teams to deal with the high volume of claims after a storm. This is a good source of information, direction and support for homeowners impacted by a hurricane.” — D’Antoni
Take photos and videos.
“Taking inventory or photographing the home is not required, and the insurance company should be able to settle a claim without it. That said, it can beneficial to have those items. One useful approach is to take a video of the exterior and interior of the home that can serve as a frame of reference during the claim process if there are issues or questions.” — Greg Isaacs, Head of Insurance at Blend
Get your important documents together—and put them in a safe place.
“Be prepared and know how to contact your insurance company and later, your mortgage lender, when the time is right. If it turns out you’ll be applying for a 203(h) loan to purchase a home you’ll need access to the typical documents you otherwise would have to have ready regardless of if there was a disaster, including a government-issued ID, social security card, tax returns and list of assets.” — Steven Marshall, National Director of Renovation Lending at Homebridge Call your insurance provider.
“It’s always a good idea for homeowners to confirm their policies are in force and not expired or canceled. They can usually check online or call their providers to confirm, ideally before the storm hits.” — Isaacs
Don’t forget your car.
“Policyholders should focus not only on damage to their home or rental apartment but also their car. If a car is flooded or damaged by a fallen tree, an auto insurance policy’s optional comprehensive coverage will pay for the damages.” — Barry
Prep the outside of your home.
“Boarding up the home or deploying hurricane shutters can reduce the direct loss to a home. If you live in a coastal area, having hurricane shutters and impact-resistant glass are two ways to improve your home’s resilience in a storm. Look around the outside of the property for anything that could turn into a missile in high winds such as fire pits, patio furniture, etc. Bringing those items inside can help prevent from crashing through your home or otherwise damaging the outside of your home.” — Bill Gatewood, Corporate Vice President and Director of Personal Insurance at Burns & Wilcox
Make sure your emergency kit is waterproof—and thorough.
“Prepare an emergency kit in a waterproof container or bag. Include your insurance documents, damage footage and photos, other important documents (e.g. birth certificates and vehicle registrations), phone chargers and prescription bottles. Keep this kit with you. Back up any important computer files and move computers above potential flooding areas of your home or office.” — Gatewood If your property does get hit, experts stress that it’s important to stay calm and not panic. Follow the below tips:
Don’t attempt the cleanup yourself.
“There’s a quite common mistake people make after a storm that can be very harmful, which is to try to initiate the immediate cleanup themselves. In the event of property damage, homeowners should not try to mitigate the destruction themselves—not only for obvious safety reasons but also because it may cause further damage. Instead, property owners should document the damage and take inventory of the destruction right away.” — Sheldon Yellen, CEO of BELFOR Property Restoration
Contact your mortgage lender if you might have trouble making payments.
“After you contact your insurance company, contact your mortgage lender or a local one you trust and has experience with disasters. One of the advantages homeowners have, when their area has been declared a disaster by the president, is that mortgage lenders usually have to grant borrowers some leeway in terms of when payments are due and often the need for payments can be put on hold for a few months without penalty.” — Marshall
Keep everything.
“Take pictures and keep receipts of all the work you do—that will be useful for your insurance company claims adjuster. Try not to throw away anything before your insurance company has had an opportunity to inspect the home. If you have to throw away debris, take pictures or video to document the actions. After a storm, it may take a few days for things to settle down enough for claims adjusters to get to your home.” — Gatewood
If the damage is really bad, look into an FHA 203(h) loan. “If someone’s home lies within a presidentially-designated disaster area, and it was either destroyed or damaged so severely so that rebuilding or replacement is necessary, they should be eligible for loans. FHA 203(h) loans are government-insured mortgages that were created specifically to make it easier for disaster victims to get back on their feet and do not require a down payment. These loans allow borrowers the ability to purchase, improve, remodel or rebuild a home, as well as rebuild or remodel their current home, due to damage caused by the disaster.” — Marshall
Act quickly.
“The 203(h) application process is only open for a year from when the disaster is first declared though. And if you’re looking to purchase a home elsewhere using this loan, instead of rebuild, you’ll want to move as soon as possible if you’re looking at areas where the number of desirable homes are limited.” — Marshall
“Homeowners should try to submit their claim early. Carriers have high a number of claims to manage after an event like this, so getting the claim submitted early helps speed up the process. Keeping good records of all expenses related to the storm and repairs they make is also key. Things like meals and hotel costs due to evacuation may be covered depending on the policy.” — Isaacs
Be wary of dishonest contractors.
“Unfortunately, these disasters bring out the worst in some people. Beware unscrupulous contractors arriving overnight and telling you they can start repairs tomorrow. Be calm, and if you do make repairs, make sure you only hire those who are licensed and insured locally and throughout the state. This sort of expertise is where a local lender can help as well.” — Marshall
If you’re not in a declared disaster area, a renovation loan can help.
”In presidentially-designated disaster areas, 203(h) loans are a great option since they don’t require a down payment. However, they only work if your area was declared a disaster by the President. Unfortunately, sometimes homes are severely damaged by storms that are not deemed lie within a declared disaster area. If you can’t qualify for a 203(h), then an FHA 203(k) or FNMA HomeStyle renovation mortgage could be a great option for refinancing your home in order to make repairs or purchasing an existing new home and renovating it to your liking. These loans bundle together the cost of a home’s repair with their monthly mortgage, streamlining the payment process for the borrower. When you refinance with one of these loans, other repairs and renovations can also be factored in, such as a kitchen upgrade, HVAC alterations or even a room addition.” — Marshall Insure First, Stay Safe
In the end though, having the right insurance in place ahead of time is key. After all, FEMA reports that just one inch of water can equal $25,000 in property damage.
“Homeowners need to make sure they have the policies in place before a storm is imminent, especially since flood insurance generally includes a 30-day waiting period before coverage can go into effect,” he said. “They should be sure to have adequate coverage limits including extended replacement cost, building code upgrade and a manageable wind or hurricane deductible, which is usually higher than the standard peril deductible.”
But if that’s not possible—or it’s too late to act—safety should always come first.
“The first priority should always be protecting themselves and their loved ones from harm,” Isaacs said. “Insurance is meant to protect the property. Homeowners should never put themselves in danger to try and prevent or limit damage.”

The Lovely Bones (2009)
Drama, Fantasy, Thriller |
The Lovely Bones is a supernatural thriller drama film directed by Peter Jackson, and starring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli, and Saoirse Ronan. The screenplay by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, and Jackson was based on Alice Sebold’s award-winning and bestselling 2002 novel of the same name. It follows a girl who is murdered and watches over her family from “the in-between”, and is torn between seeking vengeance on her killer and allowing her family to heal.
An international co-production between the United States, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand, the film was produced by Carolynne Cunningham, Walsh, Jackson, and Aimee Peyronnet, with Steven Spielberg, Tessa Ross, Ken Kamins, and James Wilson as executive producers.
In 1973, 14-year-old high school freshman Susie Salmon dreams of becoming a photographer. One day, Ray, a boy she has a crush on, asks her out. As Susie walks home through a cornfield, she runs into her neighbor, George Harvey, who coaxes her into an underground “kid’s hideout” he has built. Inside, Susie grows uncomfortable and attempts to leave; Harvey grabs her and the scene fades until she is seen rushing past her alarmed classmate Ruth Connors, seemingly fleeing Harvey’s den.
The Salmons become worried when Susie fails to return home from school. Her father, Jack, searches for her, while her mother, Abigail, waits for the police. In town, Susie sees Jack, who does not respond to her when she calls. Susie runs home to find Harvey soaking in a bathtub. After seeing the bloody bathroom and her bracelet hanging on the sink faucet, Susie realizes she never escaped the underground den and Harvey murdered her.
