On Repeat tag game
Thank you @thegalwhorants and @twig-tea!
I am using youtube music for my Only friends playlist, so I want to put in an honorable mention to Don't Let Me Be This Way by Sleepaway camp and (Stay) True by Lars Eriksson.
I don't know what to say but I am (attempting) to learn Thai. Just a cute song about not being able to confess but also not being able to handle seeing the other person with someone else. A very 17 year old feeling I think.
What is a song list without a Tilly Birds song? So we're going in the other direction from the previous song: A melancholy song about an established relationship that just isn't working out, its painful to be in it, painful to leave, they've broken up and gotten back together many times. So, everyone is stuck, frozen in time. And I'll stop here or I'll never get this done.
So I may have listened to this entirely too many times last winter when I was having a hard time. In fact I had the whole Moodswings In To Order soundtrack on repeat when that came out last year. Glad I've moved on.
Another song I was playing a lot last winter. Got really into the Korean R&B, like offonoff, colde, dean, and brb. Just chill, helps with the nerves, and I appreciate them for that.
Got stuff from my childhood. Just good stuff.
Filed under songs I have to be careful who I share with. Here we are, might as well be weird in public. Don't think too hard about the lyrics.
One of my Sand and Ray songs, we go deep in those feels with Trouble man
One of the "Imaginary Only Friends" songs.
City pop? Synth? Wanna just chill? Telex Telexs has got you covered. I love them so much. I made a whole playlist trying to get people to listen to them, lol. Might be a bit much though.
Got to see Sub Urban last winter! It was great and really suggest going if you can. Now if I could see BENEE....
@insignificantbrandybottle @shakalakaaa if you want! no pressure.

i have like 10+ tabs open every single time i’m writing for this series for research, so this is mostly me to refer back to but i thought i’d just share some of the things i’ve learned that i incorporated into the story! (she just loves history lol.) excuse typos; not proofread.
includes my intentional historical inaccuracies, inspo, & easter eggs ;) also, prev. chapters may be updated too towards the end, to reveal other facts that would’ve spoiled the ending.

i. SHE PAINTED THE HIGH RENAISSANCE ONTO HER BLANK CANVAS
ART HISTORY REFS MENTIONED: stanza della segnatura (rooms in the pope’s palace raphael painted), the sistine chapel, nicknames (da vinci- renaissance man; michelangelo- il divino) madonna del granduca (raphael), statue of david, tragedy of the tomb (michelangelo)
INFO INSPO :
TAILORS would actually incorporate a person’s personality & family style into the clothes that they made. i found that really cool—everything was more custom!
speaking about clothes—dazai mentioning that fyodor was probably irritated because the pope forced him into a suit? fyodor keeping the same outfit…up until he turned into bram, and also, michelangelo was the same way. he dressed like a peasant, not bothering to go above that.
LA VOLTA (literally "to turn") really was the most controversial dance during the renaissance era! previously, men & women would touch palms at most; this dance changed that. there were disputes from the church, dance defenders arguing it wasn't good for health (because of the fast pace and turns), etc. anyway, dazai's entire scene is actually inspired from elizabeth (1998; i never watched the movie, but i came across it while researching the dance)—the scene where queen elizabeth dances w/ sir robert. i also think this was a nice touch because the scene in the movie was inspired by a painting of just that. (coining the dance being described as “scandalous”.)
THE “TRAGEDY OF THE TOMB” was a real thing! michelangelo indeed was assigned to create pope julius ii’s tomb, but they kept disagreeing so much until the designs for it dwindled down extremely, compared to what it was originally. michelangelo then abandoned the commission, calling it the tragedy of the tomb, and proceeded to leave rome entirely. the project was handed to other artists after.
HISTORICAL INACCURACIES :
FYODOR & DAZAI WEARING SUITS. i’m sorry, i just think the renaissance/medieval doublets are soo ugly imo :’) + wtv they call those puffy trousers…i haven’t even looked up the term to call them LOL. “suit” is a broad term in general so you can still definitely imagine it as them in a historically-accurate outfit if you’d wish !! (but in my mind, they’re wearing suits as if they were princes from a completely different timeline shh)
EASTER EGGS :
the lady with dark curls in a deep red dress who briefly danced with dazai? she’s none other than red (redamantiya) :) thank u darling for watching me struggle & panic while writing this installment + helping me a bit out with osamu + the playlist.
the big three !! dazai and fyodor being love interests ofc, so i had to make ranpo reader’s right-hand man. ;)

hello. please explain in as much detail as is comfortable how your music taste has grown and changed over the course of your life. thank you. ?<- question mark for redundancy since you said to ask it but i accidentally didnt phrase it that way
Hi!!! Thank you for this question
So one thing you gotta understand is we're the son of two professional orchestra violinists so a lot of our early introductions to music were classical with the exception of fiona apple when our mom introduced us to the album extraordinary machine when we were like 7. we also listened to a lot of stephane grappelli and django reinhardt, ella fitzgerald singing harold arlen, duke ellington - jazz is one of our favorite genres to this day and fiona is an all time favorite artist so clearly that era stuck with us. lots of the Beatles also and we have a soft spot for some of their songs despite despising them as an entity
we'd listen to radio pop on our computer and record shit thru the speaker onto our shitty voice recorder so we could play in the backyard and listen to it this was a no phone no ipod era
the first artist I can remember us really getting into on our own was owl city before we found out he's rather Christian which we don't really vibe with. our best friend at the time introduced us to some classic rock especially queen. somewhere along the way we discovered patd by watching some random speedpaint and then got rly into them age like 10-11. some mcr too but we never had a fall out boy phase Hashem bless.
I remember buying a Florence + the machine cd at Barnes and noble at like 11? 12? Lungs which is a great album I've always loved their music but I didn't list any of their albums on my big list of favorites just now bc I take issue with some shit she's done. Also got into Muse around that time I think
2012 is when shit really started the idler wheel by fiona apple came out and we were a hot mess so it rly resonated with us. This is also when we got into andrew bird. Discovered a bunch of shit - soley, daughter, marina, lana. really mentally ill period
After summer camp 2013 I got into arctic monkeys and vampire weekend which was at the time really transformative to our approach to music. Then we started dating someone with rly fucking good music taste and everything really fell into place. Got rly into alt-J on my own but my now-ex showed me james blake, rory ferreira, sufjan stevens, the antlers, death grips, bunch of shit. I started getting more into hip hop, got into chance the rapper for a bit before realizing he's kinda mid though acid rap does rly hold up, also discovered glass animals in like 2015, really there was a lot of stuff I don't have very good memory of this time period
2016 was like. Vince staples car seat headrest deerhoof Hiatus kaiyote whatever the kids at Berklee summer were listening to...got rly into a sun kil moon album but later found out he did some creep shit so we don't listen to that anymore which sucks. Our then best friend got us into gorillaz and Kate bush
2017-19 we discovered king krule and mount eerie among other things which was epic and cool. Phil elverum sees straight into our mind it was a revelation. Rory ferreira only keeps getting better and better. Too many things to name. Hyperpop, sophie and PC music, lots of blood orange, we were chronically high as shit
2020 we holed up in the upstairs of our house with a dude who no longer speaks to us to record an album of original music. I finally decided to listen to talking heads and my world was blown open. Also the era of listening to let's eat grandma and grimes (I know) while flagrantly psychotic in quarantine. Shabazz palaces black up shoutout and all the random goofy shit my (ex) bandmate showed me also fugazi
2021 i broke up with good music taste ex and started dating someone else also with very good music taste but in a different direction, got into the Mars Volta and a bunch of shit here you go
And the 2022 one is even longer. By a lot. it speaks for itself really fucking good year for music
And this year I've been getting more into punk shit like cherubs, special interest, a frames; finally got into sonic youth the other day, lots more deerhoof too.
extremely long response thank u so very much for letting us ramble about this!! 💓

For my chatty Nemo queen...
Who's your favourite poet? (Songwriters included, of course Right answers only U.U)
Tumblr media
Hugs
(Dark) Lady Connor 🦋
Dear Lady Connor, what a joy to see you here!
come in, come in! have some freshly baked cookies and some tea!
Tumblr media
You bring me QUITE the intricate question, this time around.
I consider myself quite well read, and Poetry is among one of my favourite genres, so it will not be easy for me to narrow down just one.
It's virtually impossible for me to choose.
So, I will give you the two poets that I love above everyone else.
Il Sommo Poeta, Dante Alighieri. I fell in love with his writing when we studied him in high school, and I still read La Divina Commedia whenever I need some inspiration in terms of linguistic choices (Il Dolce Stil Novo ha un registro linguistico incomparable. Ogni volta che leggo Dante, sento di toccare letteralmente il cielo).
Marko Saaresto, the songwriter of "The Poets of The Fall". As I say more than once, I am a guarded person, and I do not like to let people peek too much inside my soul...but with his songs, with his words, I feel like he sees right through me. He touches my soul, he just disintegrates any barrier I might have and touches the barest part of my own being. There is a reason his songs are the one I always listen to when I work on something Jacob/Dottie related.
Alfred Tennyson. His poetry touched my heart in ways that no other poets managed to do, you can touch the melancholy woven between his words, something I could connect very well with. Also, his poems connected to the Knight of the Round Table and the Arthurian Legends (case in point "Sir Galahad" and "The Lady of Shalott") are probably the ones I love THE MOST. so there you have it! :D
thank you so much for this question, I so rarely get the chance to speak about this, so I was truly glad <3

Arcana for the ask meme if you haven’t been asked 👀
Ahhhh yay :D thank you!!!!
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
Count Lucio most definitely, he’s so very special to me and his Route is by far my favourite. I also love how much of a prick he is in the other routes 😔❤️
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
Julian, don’t ask why, all I know is I want to smush his face between my hands. But also Lucio again (I’m sorry I’m enamoured by him and I would die of the red plague for him all over again)
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
Volta, she is so scrunkly to me, and her demon form makes me want to sob, she’s just so 😭❤️🥺 also Vlastomil a bit as well, his love of worms has stuck out for me and I also love the way his character looks
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)
Morga, big, powerful woman make me go rabid, what can I say. But also Nasrin, cos daaaaaaaaamn she is 👏😤
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
Lucio again, I can’t get over this drama queen of a man I swear. But also I relate to quite a few aspects of him, so I can’t help but adore him 😔
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
Nadia, I love her so much, but I would use my feral chaotic to most definitely torment her. I don’t know if she would have the patience to deal with me 😭
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
Valerius cos he’s a complete and utter bitch, but also I low key love him for it, like someone had to be the upper class sass queen and he said sure I’ll do it 😤

Get In Moses Edition | 2.13.21
Tumblr media
Secret Radio | 2.13.21 | Hear it here.
art by Paige, liner notes mostly by Evan, *means Paige
1. Chantal Goya - “Tu m’as trop menti”
From the movie “Masculin feminin,” a DVD we borrowed from Tim. This is the film where Godard was whispering the lines into a headset of the actor, so they were learning their lines literally as they were saying them. This is the opening song. Not particularly Valentine’s Day, in that it’s about lying too much… but still there’s a dissatisfaction that is undeniably a part of French romance.
2. Human League - “(Keep Feeling) Fascination”
Such a square song! But the keys hook is so immortally beautiful, with its crucial warble. The rest of the song is sweetly and innocently ‘80s. It reminds me of being in art class in high school, fully participating in the aesthetic crimes of the era.
3. Marijata - “Break Through” - “Afro-Beat Airways”
Analog Africa is just now releasing a repress of this long sold-out collection. I’d listened to it before, but I guess that was before I knew about Marijata (thanks again, Jeffrey!) because it was a shock to discover a track by one of our very favorite Ghanaian discoveries. So far as I knew, Marijata only released one album of four songs — which is fantastic — and then eventually started backing a guy named Pat Thomas. Those records, unfortunately, are nowhere near as vital and fascinating as their own record. So finding this song was a welcome revelation! I should also say that, no surprise, the whole collection is a banger from front to back, and will definitely show up again on the show.
4. Philippe Katerine (avec Gérard Depardieu) - “Blond”
This strange guy is a kind of joker songwriter in French pop, as far as I can tell. This song is all about what one can get away with if one is blond. He’s a really fascinating character, a tiny bit like Beck maybe, in the sense that he seems to have made a successful career of taking unexpected directions. He’s also an actor, working with Claire Denis (!), Jonathan Demme and Gille Lellouche among many others. He was also in Gainsbourg - A Heroic Life,” which is an excellent movie that we highly recommend. (We had no idea who he was when we saw it at the St. Louis Film Festival.) Also, he appears to be married to Gérard Depardieu’s daughter, which would seem to explain this particular guest star.
Tumblr media
- The Texas Room - “Cielito Lindo”
Several years ago, a producer in St. Louis put together the amazing album known as “The Texas Room,” which brought together immigrants from all over the world who currently lived in St. Louis. That meant Bosnians, Cameroonians, Mexicans, and native-born Americans… including Andy Garces, a fellow Paige went to high school with — His mom was Paige’s voice teacher as a matter of fact — who recorded this strange and excellent version of “Cielito Lindo.” The release party for the album was one of the greatest nights we spent in that or any city, dancing our faces off to all kinds of music. At one point the Bosnians got so excited they took over the room, shouting along and hoisting up their guy in the air. Basil Kincaid did the art for the album, and I think that’s the night we finally met. We have one of his collages on our studio wall right now — right over there!
5. The Modern Lovers - “I’m Straight” *
When we got the current SK van (circa 2015) we were super excited because we could finally bring out other musicians on the road and we could also have folks from other bands that we were out with jump in the van with us for a stretch. That February we were on tour with Jamaican Queens, and our friend Andy Kahn came out with us to play guitar. Not only is Andy a rad musician and great guy to be around, but he was an excellent road DJ. Somehow I made it to 30 without getting into The Modern Lovers (I know, crazy!) Andy has great taste and had a well appointed iPod so he was the official van DJ pretty much right away. He put on this record one day and I just lost it. The thing is, after that I was like “Play ‘Roadrunner’ again!” all the time. When I hear this record I still think of that tour. Andy in the back seat DJing, Ben and Erik jumping in the van to come with to Baltimore, graduating to “truck” in the Holland Tunnel queue, so much snow, host Bentley, “Go cats?”, Aaaaaahhhhh!
6. Frances Carroll & the Coquettes - “Coquette / When I Swing My Stick / Jitterbug Stomp”
I think we learned about this band last year, when Coquettes drummer Viola Smith died at 107 years old (in Costa Mesa, not Silverlake, Paige would like you to know — her bad). The video link below is highly recommended — the whole band swings hard, and the interaction between them and Frances Carroll is well worth the watch. They were considered a curiosity at the time, being an all-female band, and man they could play. Viola Smith in particular had an insanely long career, playing from the 1920s straight through into 2019! She played with Ella Fitzgerald and Chick Webb, and in the original Broadway production of “Cabaret.” Her particular innovation was having two toms at shoulder height, on either side of her head, which she would roll and ricochet shots off. Very cool style, never copied.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFDD_NxtKZ4
7. Pierre Sandwidi - “Boy Cuisinier”
Born Bad Records is one of the world’s coolest record labels, with a huge array of vintage discoveries as well as African albums as well as contemporary pop and noise bands. “Boy Cuisinier” is off Pierre Sandwidi’s album with them. It bears some definite relation to Francis Bebey but takes its own turns just as often. Sandwidi hails from Burkina Faso, known as the Upper Volta when he was growing up. We’re just now learning about him and his scene — I confess I didn’t even know Upper Volta was African; I thought it was Slavic — so I wouldn’t be surprised if some more Voltaic music shows up here soon.
8. Evan Sult avec Tracy Brubeck  - “The Cats Won’t Stay In”
Paige’s mom Tracy called while we were in the middle of the show, and they paused to have a conversation about, you know, whatever — the snowstorms, the neighbors, the news. She was on speakerphone so that we could all talk, and eventually I just started taking notes as fast as I could. This is the result. I find it fascinating. That’s Paige singing lead on the Marty Robbins tune.
Tumblr media
9.  Kil Monnower Alimunna, Grup Hindustanbul - “Tadap Tadap”
Years ago I saw the movie “Monsoon Wedding” by the director Mira Nair. It really stuck with me, particularly the gorgeous opening credits in maroon and orange and sky blue. I was trying to tell Paige about that sequence, so just in case we could catch a glimpse of those colors, we watched the trailer. This song is the soundtrack to the trailer. It’s really an amazing track — so Indian, of course, but with definite Western points of contact, like when it goes to the major chords unexpectedly in the post-chorus, which sounds practically American. And the final outro minute or so is full of delayed, reverbed vocals in a psychedelic style, til it reaches the strange and intoxicating sound that he makes with his voice as the song fades into the distance.
- Martial Solal “New York Herald Tribune” - “A bout de souffle” soundtrack
10. Gillian Hills - “Tut Tut Tut Tut”
Gillian Hills, probably more famous for “Zou Bisou Bisou.” This track is great, listen for those syrupy slides and harmonies. I just learned that she is English, and the music video for this song is definitely shot in Angleterre. Full of famous red phone booths (now famous little free libraries.) When we were doing this week’s show I asked Evan “Is this song too obvious?” He said no, it wasn’t too obvious. If you know why I’m asking, then you know. So is it?
11. Jacques Dutronc “La Compapade”
We’ve been into Jacques Dutronc for many years now, because he’s a brilliant French songwriter and composer. But this one track has been a baffler for many years now. It shows up out of nowhere and sounds like… what? What the hell IS that? Is it African? It sounds African, but — is it? Is it just some strange lark on his part? Paige was apprehensive about playing it on the show, even though we both really enjoy it, because we couldn’t tell if it was somehow demeaning to someone. But eventually I argued that we don’t know what the hell most of the singers are saying in the songs we play, or which cultural taboos they’re transgressing, and the same is true in this case. If it is somehow offensive to anyone, I hope it’s clear that wasn’t our intention. But… I don’t know. I don’t think it is. I think it just comes from a cultural heritage and context that is French in a way Americans cannot understand or appreciate. In any case, it’s an amazing performance and recording!
12. K. Frimpong & His Cubanos Fiestas - Me Da A Ɔnnda”
Research into African rock and styles eventually brought us to K. Frimpong and His Cubanos Fiestas, which has turned out to be a satisfying step into the Ghanaian highlife/Cuban scene. I love the keyboard hooks in this one and the way the patterns just roll on and on with each other like a river, in no hurry but pulled forward by their own currents. He was also a visual artist — his art appeared on the cover of last episode’s Nyame Bekyere album. This was also the first time I’ve encountered the character “Ɔ” in the wild. I have zero idea how it is pronounced.
13. They Might Be Giants - “Birdhouse In Your Soul”
“Not to put too fine a point on it / Say I’m the only bee on your bonnet / Make a little birdhouse in your soul.” I remember when I first realized that was a feeling I was feeling — hoping to build a birdhouse in the soul of another, to be inside one another in a little protected place. The rest of the song is a nerd-rock dream palace I love as much as any other nerd, but the chorus is where I discovered an emotion I hadn’t suspected was there when I first heard and fell for this song and this band in high school (thanks, Jeremy Peterson!).
Paige adds: This song is blowing my mind. I don’t like writing lyrics, my ratio of melodies and harmonies to lyrics way out of whack. Evan brought this song back into our lives this week when Sleepy Kitty was asked what our favorite love songs are on a real radio show. We’ve been listening to it a bunch since Thursday and damn, these lyrics are good. It’s really reminding me that you can write about ANY.THING. Blue Canary in the freakin’ outlet by the light switch. Looking at the lighthouse picture. It’s a clinic. I learned something, and I can go home.
On the original topic, I love thinking of this as a love song. If you hear a love song, it’s a love song. It’s a love song.
14. Sleepy Kitty - “Tu veux ou tu veux pas” *
I took two years of French in high school and missed out junior and senior year because of a scheduling lulu that made 3rd and 4th year French conflict with advanced painting which was the primary reason I was taking French in the first place. I’m still not over it. Years later, I’m at Electropolis (in my memory) and I hear this Brigitte Bardot song on Tim’s excellent sound system and I can understand…most?…some…of it! I fell in love with this song and with French again and started stumbling, scrabbling at it again. We started working up this cover. Thank you Suzie Gilb for helping with the pronunciation. We did a 7” of this song and it’s a rare SK track with me playing trombone on it.
15. The Velvet Underground - “I Love You” *
I don’t really have much to say about this track except that it reminds me of flying to Germany because I got the 5 Disc set with all the extras on it a few days before leaving for a high school foreign exchange program. I was so happy to have those discs to absorb on the long flight, and come to think of it, it really inflected the whole trip.
16. Secret Song - “African Scream Contest”
The genesis of our love for African rock/funk/whatever (if for a moment we don’t count the profoundly influential “Graceland”) is the immortal collection “Legends of Benin,” put out by Analog Africa. As soon as we dug further for our favorites from that collection, we found “African Scream Contest” vols 1 and 2. I was drawn to the second one because it had a killer track by our hero Antoine Dougbé, but eventually spent as much time with the first volume. Both are absolutely fantastic. Part of what I love so much about them is learning how much of an impact James Brown and his band had on African music, which is super apparent throughout these collections and especially this track. The drums and the grunts and the hard stops and the horn blasts — it’s all there.
One of the finest elements of these records is the hidden track at the end, tucked five or so minutes back from the last song. These are often some of the hottest tracks on the album, well worth the wait, and this mystery song is no exception. Unfortunately, though, that means we don’t know who made this track or what it’s called. Oh well — that only makes it cooler!
- Adrian from Brooklyn
17. The Beatles - “Dizzy Miss Lizzy”
We watched “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week” recently (totally worth a watch), and we were struck all over again by how insane their lives must have been at that time. Yes fame, yes sudden fortune, yes global supremacy, yes yes yes — the thing that I can’t get over is the shrieking, and how it wasn’t just present at their shows, it was EVERYWHERE THEY WENT, AT ALL TIMES ON ALL DAYS, EVERY SECOND THEY WERE OUTSIDE. How completely unsettling that must have been, to be the center of that howl, day after day, year after year.
18. The Fall - “Sing! Harpy”
Dedicated to Adrian from Brooklyn and all those young women and men losing their minds over the Beatles so completely that all they could do was shriek, even at shows where the crowd’s sound completely obliterated the sound of the band they so desperately loved and came to hear.
(This is also some of my favorite violin playing in any rock music, right up there with “Boys Keep Swinging” and The Ex’s “State of Shock.” I would LOVE to work with a violinist in this mode.)
19. T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo - “Gnon a Gnon Wa”
So intense! That constant chord strike throughout the song is a kind of high-note drone that we find ourselves drawn to. It kind of reminds me of the sound of a casino, where you walk in and all of the machines are chiming the same note, promising to just take your mind away and keep it safe until you need it again.
- Tommy Guerrero - “El Camino Negro” - “Road to Nowhere”
20. Black Dragons de Porto Novo - “Se Djro” What a slinky number! I love how spare the instrumentation is, but how much power is contained in that one guitar part. This is side A of a 7” put out on Albarika Store, the label that T.P. Orchestre called home for many albums.
21. Helen Nkume and Her Young Timers - “Time” This is (so far) the closest we’ve gotten to reggae on WBFF. I know nothing about the band or the music other than their fantastic name and sound — oh, and the fact that she is known elsewhere as Prophetess Helen Nkume. She appears to be Nigerian, or anyway her record label is. I love the guitar hook on this song, it just sneaks in and steals the show.
22. Anne Sylvestre - “Les Gens Qui Doutent”
23. Parvati Khan - “Jimmi Jimmi Jimmi Aaja Aaja Aaja Re Mere” A lucky find! Someone in one of my Facebook groups posted a video from this album, so I took note and returned later to check it out. This is from an Indian movie called “I’m a Disco Dancer” that looks like a real kooky thrill. The actors appear to have only the vaguest sense of what “disco” might be — or what a guitar might be, for that matter. It kind of looks like someone saw a single photo of a disco night and extrapolated a whole movie from it. Nonetheless, Parvati Khan is entrancing in the song and in the video, and we HAVE to see this movie, with or without subtitles. The smoldering look alone really requires investigation:

24. Nancy Sit - “Love Potion #9” * One thing I’ve always known about Evan is that he doesn’t like the song  “Love Potion #9.” When we stumbled across this, I thought it was awesome but I didn’t want to make Evan listen to a song he doesn’t like on Valentine’s Day! Evan says this song has little to do with “Love Potion #9” which makes me wonder, Evan, what’s the part you don’t like about “Love Potion #9”?
Evan adds: I honestly can’t remember what my issue with this song was. I swear, it was like… it was around the time of “Melt With You,” which I also found inexplicably irritating (and still do). I suspect now that there was an inept cover version that first steered me wrong… but luckily there’s a strange Chinese version to steer me right again! Oh life.
- Michel Legrand - “Solange’s Song (Instrumental)” - “The Young Ladies of Rocheforte”
25. The Velvet Underground - “I’ll Be Your Mirror” * This is the song that I said was the best love song of the western world on the real radio. I think it’s so beautiful and so adult. I don’t even know if I would have thought of this as love song a few years ago. When first got into the V.U. I thought it was a pretty song – a neat song, but I didn’t really know what it meant, what it could mean. What’s funny is when I think of this song, I have a Lou Reed version in my head – his voice, the harmonies. When I revisited the Max’s Kansas City live version (which as far as I know is the only one besides other more recent live versions and surely what I’m thinking of?) I realized that the version in my head is essentially that one but cleaned up, remastered, different EQ, and as far as I know entirely imagined.
Evan adds: (Paige has been playing this song recently around the apartment. I don’t even have to tell you how lovely it is.)
*p.s. If you want to hear the piece about musicians talking about favorite love songs on KWMU it’s here: https://news.stlpublicradio.org/show/st-louis-on-the-air/2021-02-11/listen-love-songs-to-keep-you-warm-on-cold-winter-nights
Super fun getting to talk about this stuff and in such good company!

7, 12 (for Nadia) and 36 for the ask meme at /post/190369000650/ ~!
thank you for asking! x <- post
7) uhm, faust if she counts. I sure hope she does because faust has my whole heart and I absolutely love love love her.
12) good one. lemme think- this is actually really hard, I would love to go on an adventure with her, but would she be able to relax? — who cares. she deserves the freedom, her sisters can take care of vesuvia. I‘ll go on an adventure with my queen. <3
36) I have four so far. :/ I started to create one for every route I played. names,,, victor - julian; avis - asra; nathaniel - nadia; silas - muriel. the other two will come when I start their route. what they all have in common is that they are nonbinary, due nathaniel is genderfluid (like with magic their body would transform a little with them and imagine nadia, being all exited to create various clothes for each body and UWU). the m3 oc‘s are all the upright, I can‘t tell with silas the route isn‘t done yet... I love every single one of them and I have many details but that would be too much... :/ [I also have one of valdemar and volta but pscht)
— wish you a great night/day <3

Yellow ochre, burnt sienna, violet rose, blue, and turquoise blue
yellow ochre; name an artist/band whom you just discovered & can’t get enough of! Well I did discover Casiopea recently. Despite the fact that they’re a jazz band, I've been enjoying their stuff a lot!
burnt sienna; is there a painting that brings you peace when you look at it? There isn't a specific painting, but I do love seeing Jeff Jordan's art. He's a painter that's done some artwork for the Mars Volta and I get a strange sense of calm when I look at his work
violet rose; what does your dream house look like? My dream house, well I haven't thought about what the outside would look like, but I'd like for it to look like the big houses I see on the outskirts of my family's home town. Big houses made of cement usually painted in warm colors. I've thought a lot about the inside of it though. I'd like for it have the arched entrances I see a lot in Latin houses, with the typical Mexican decor. But man, you just can't have houses like that here in the US. It's too expensive. Maybe one day I'll build myself a house in Mexico just like that, right in my family's town
blue; what’s the most recent dream you remember? Man I've just had a bunch of bullshit dreams. The most recent one I've had was from last night. I remember I was on my college campus late at night waiting for someone to pick me up, and this one guy came up to me saying he was in love with me and was trying to court me. I started getting a really bad vibe from him. I never met him and this all came out of the blue for me. I tried to get away from him, but he just kept following me everywhere. It wasn't until I came to the library, which was strangely packed, that I finally got away from him and my anxiety began to subside
turquoise blue; if you could start a garden, what would you plant? Flowers mostly. I like the idea of having Dahlias, lilies, petunias, and celosias, maybe even my Sunflowers again. I currently have a white petunia plant and two cockscomb red celosias out in the front, and I'm hoping I can find some gypsy queen celosias for the front too since I got more pots for them. I had to move my petunias to larger pot though since they're starting to get really big! My celosias are also growing! I never thought I'd enjoy being a plant mom!
Thank you so much hun💕

Cari lettori e lettrici,
Scusate per l’attesa! Ma sapete com’è l’estate, periodo di cialtroneria..
Ecco qui la nostra recensione.
Queen of Air and Darkness. La Regina dell’Aria e delle Tenebre.
“We have a lot of allies,” Julian said.
Emma’s gaze slid down the beach toward Magnus and Alec. “This is going to be an important night,” she said. “And it’s being shared with us. That’s not about having allies. That’s about having friends. We have a lot of friends.”
She figured he’d make a teasing retort; instead, his face softened.
“You’re right,” he said. “I guess we do.”
This moment stroke us with warmth. When Emma and Julian, finally free to love each other without fear, realize how many people are attracted to their intellect and strength, to their gentle and brave spirit, how many have been close to them and have helped them save the world once again. It could be trivial but together we are stronger and diversity makes us even more so (especially when you have to open Portals, ride through constellations on fairy steeds or fight top of a tree with a sling).
The characters have grown the most in this one book and we found ourselves reading about an extraordinarily cunning Julian, ready to talk in front of such an infinite crowd like a true leader, a breathtakingly brave Emma, though she had always been only thanks to these pages we realized how much, an indissoluble trio, the Cristina-Mark-Kieran trio, swept away by such a heart wrenching love that they are ready to break any senseless limit or bound so that they can be together; two young Shadowhunters broken by grief, ‘Kitty’ I love to call them, separated by loss and pride and the most united Blackthorn family in the widest form of the term, even wider than that last name: we’re talking about Dru, whose words inspired everyone, about Tavvy, Ty, Mark, Helen, Julian but also Emma, Cristina, Kieran, ALINE. Well, I can confidently say these characters have shone like the brightest stars of the firmament. I’m thinking about Kieran, the disobliging and sweet Kieran, who put an end to his father’s cruelty with a single blow to the neck brandishing the gift he had given his beloved Mark, I’m thinking about how Julian avenged his Livvy with a masterly swing of his sword through Annabel’s body, about how the same Livvy, mature and torn by pain, built a Resistance in a doomed world, how Emma fought Sebastian Morgenstern, AGAIN, fighting like a lioness for everything she cares about, how Mark stick to his beloved Kieran’s side, encouraging him even in the face of death, how Jaime and Diego protected their Lady of Roses to the point of risking their lives, how Dru saved the above mentioned men’s asses, how Diana overcame her fear of screaming her true self to the world.
And then.. We want to talk about the timeless heroes. We want to talk about Jace, Clary, Alec, Magnus, RAPHAEL SANTIAGITO, Tessa, Jem. The ‘side dish’ which is not a side dish at all because all of them, even in a trilogy that isn’t their own, burn like heavenly fire that, one way or another, solves everything. Cassie gifts us with another long, intense, rich adventure from the very first page.
The first part of the book that ends with the death of the Unseelie King is as surprising as Ash’s origins and future role he’ll play in the story, considering the one he had in this trilogy, victim and helper. Surprising is his direct parentage with Valentine Morgenstern, who’s probably having a lot of fun and revolting in his own grave at the same time because of his nephew’s fey genes.
Another brilliant idea that almost blinded us was sending Emma and Julian in a parallel world (a confirmation of the multiverse concept that our latest Peter Parker would love) that’s full of death and destruction, which Cassie got the chance to take it out on by killing The Mortal Instruments’ absolute protagonist and many others. Where she killed Magnus and Alec almost like Shakespeare killed Romeo and Juliet and obviously didn’t spare the whole Blackthorn family.
‘Thule’ is magnificent with its dark atmosphere, bloody colours, fateful encounters and achieved revenge.
‘Lady Vengeance’ won us over and disappointed us at the same time. The chaotic battle, surely not easy to write, is successful. Livvy’s missed resurrection (and ghost summon) is definitely painful and heartbreaking, also considering the consequences it had on Kit and Ty, whose relationship in my mind was already headed toward a passionate love story that slammed, fairly, against Tiberius’ wall of grief and pain. Kit’s confession was unexpected in that moment, even form himself apparently and the result was bringing them apart, well played, because now we are even more eager to read The Wicked Powers (the trilogy about Kit and Ty scheduled to come out after TLH).
The disappointing part in ‘Lady Vengeance’ was the way Emma and Julian’s love dilemma was resolved: too convenient resorting once again to the heavenly fire that previously, a reminder, freed Jem from the Brotherhood and Jace from Sebastian’s mind control. A solution that was maybe too ideal, too perfect, too lenient to satisfy us, considering the other terrible options.
Malec’s wedding was the cherry on top. The long awaited proposal moved us and surprised us, so romantic, so perfect! It probably was one of the most celebrated moment in the Shadowhunters fandom.
At the end of this addictive trilogy, Idris is lost But Alexander Lightwood is the new Consul (always be praised) and Diego a possible new Inquisitor: we are sitting pretty, free and clear if it wasn’t for the (nice) Seelie Queen. May a day come when she finally goes on vacation from being a total pain in the acorn bitch. Unfortunately this fact won’t change very soon and we also have two Jace to think about, that’s basically like for Magnus having seven Alec... maybe a bit more troubling.
In any case, The Wicked Powers is still far away but we’re sure the fun won’t lack.

“thank you to the gorgeous @wordssometimesfail for tagging me in a get...”
s o n g r e c s
so THANKS (much belatedly for tolerating my fucking out of control need to word vomit about music at literally all hours of the day and night; forcing others to listen to songs i like is literally one of the few joys that makes life worth living. also, idk if this was intended in a “hey cool, song recs” way or a “hey, yeah, link me those songs” way, but @filigods, BABY YOU’RE GETTIN THOSE LINKS and also more because i am insufferable.
below the cut: links to just Some Music What I Think Is Cool, organized...pretty dubiously, but an attempt will be made. also, now and at all times, anyone who feels so inclined should always link me to music they’re liking right now or that they loved in the past or that they think is just the bee’s knees...anytime. ANYTIME.
okay so the songs i mentioned the other day are all in here, but i wanted to organize it a bit more than just a random grab bag to give you some direction so that you know what you might be into, if you’ve never heard of some of these (my music taste isn’t all that niche but i’ve gone through a lot of phases in my life XD). particular “omg please listen to this before you die” faves will be in italics.

Bits and Pieces - Provocative Dancing   9/5/21
Oh, how one generation loves to scandalize another. Sometimes I had students try to shock me with their antics. They would be so disappointed when it didn’t work. I would tell them that they had a long way to go to find something that my brother or I hadn’t already done. And John and I went to Catholic parochial schools with (real) nuns and priests!
One way that whole generations would try to astonish their parents’ or grandparents’ generations was in their style of dancing. This isn’t a new approach for young people. As far back as the Middle Ages, people were outraged at the close physical dancing, especially by those in the lower classes.
Dances began to spread more rapidly due to migration from war, slavery and economic turns. This also caused changes in social practices.
During the Renaissance courtly side-by-side dances were much the custom. However, the dance named “La volta” became the rage. The man would push the woman partner with his thigh, grasp her waist with one hand and just below the corset with other; then, thrust her into the air.
Not only was this seen as immodest, but also highly dangerous for women. It was feared that it could cause a miscarriage.
For the next 200 years, dancing returned mostly to the side-by-side pattern. In general society men and women were rarely alone until marriage. Of course, that custom wasn’t to last too long.
By the early 1800s a new dance emerged – the waltz! How lewd! A man holding a woman in his arms, their faces only inches apart, and a whirling action of the partners – improper at its best!
Three cheers to Queen Victoria! She liked the waltz and danced it often. It is still popular today on many dance floors – or at least some variation of it for those who don’t really dance.
As chaperoning young couples began to relax, there entered a new dance of the early 1900s. Said to originate in Buenos Aires, it became most popular in Great Britain. Again, thanks to the British royalty, the tango was given a thumbs up!
The tango had an even closer embrace than the waltz, and the Latin music allowed for much improvising by dance couples. This was just a beginning of testing the boundaries of social convention.
Following World War I, women began to stretch the envelope of behavior because of the many new opportunities they had enjoyed. Jazz became a popular music of the Roaring Twenties. Women looked to dancing without a partner.
The Charleston was the craze that gave women a new freedom in dance as well as fashion. Everything about the dance – footwork, flailing arms, swinging hips – was considered immoral, let alone provocative.
Just as in the Middle Ages when dances migrated during wars, so too during World War II with the jitterbug. The jitterbug was an American dance popular in the 1930s. During the war, American soldiers took it abroad.
Physical and moral well-being were questioned. The swing music brought improvised and energetic moves, including lifts that would show a woman’s underwear. Gasp!
Back in an upright position, the lambada returned to life in the late ‘80s through a French film reintroducing the music and dance of the 1930s. Supposedly banned by the then president of Brazil for its “immorality” this new on-the-scene mania grabbed a new hold.
Just as with the waltz and the tango, the Brits solidified the popularity of the lambada. They brought in experts to teach the steps.
The latest provocative dance rage is twerking. With thrusting hips and low squatting stance it grew popular with hip hop music. Not until Miley Cyrus caused it to “go viral” did it catch much attention.
So, where we get the word “twerking?” In 2013, that word was at the top of Google’s Zeitgeist (Google leadership conference) list. The group traced the origin of “twerking” back to 1820. Planet Earth II even speculated that bears have been twerking in the woods for centuries. Hunters, beware of hip thrusting bears in the forest!
Oh, the thought of it! Dancing is nothing – people of those past times would have their blood boil to see many of the commercials on TV today.
The main farmer just asked me what I was writing about this week. I told him – provocative dancing. He said, “Oh, like strip tease?” “Nope.” He was disappointed. I hope you get out and dance this week. It’s great exercise. Even bears do it, it appears.

Merry Christmas @patalmellow!  I was your LoliRock Secret Santa!  I know how much you wanted something with Izira and here you go!  It kinda took a while for this to be done since it’s a fanfic but it’s done!  I hope you enjoy it!
Sisters of Xeris: A Moment of Love and Forgiveness
From as long as she can remember, the relationship with her sister has been pretty steady.  Especially considering the shit they’ve been through for the past eleven years. The woman sighed as she continued signing important documents pertaining to the reconstruction of the kingdom and renewing the alliances with Volta and Ignus.  Things just weren’t the same anymore.  The dark-skinned royal swiveled around in her chair and faced the elegantly crafted window.  From her point of view, she saw construction workers and citizens working together to rebuild great buildings and create newer establishments for businesses to regulate the economy.  The twenty-seven year old set her pen down on the desk crafted from an old Xerin tree and stood up in front of the window.  She closed her eyes and reminisced the feeling of being in front of the glass with her father.  The woman felt a small pang in her heart as she remembered what the great king of Xeris looked like.  He was tall and muscular, fit to be a warrior.  Silver strands of his locs pulled into a bun and kind golden eyes, symbolizing years’ worth of wisdom.  She remembers seeing his dark skin looking radiant with his beard.  It makes her feel blessed that she inherited such wonderful traits.
“I miss you so much father…” The young royal queen remembered how her father always wore significant robes of the finest Ephedian silk, with the colors of white with royal and crystal blue woven together. His long royal blue cape was her and her sister’s favorite part of his robe.  Not only did it signify authority, but it served well as something very entertaining to play with as a child.  She looked down at her wrist to stare at a beautiful golden watch she received when she was a teenager.  The shape of the gift was the moon with tiny blue crystals representing the craters forming on the surface.  The stars surrounding the moon represented the numbers that indicated the time it was in the day.
“I think I might know a way to cheer you up today.  I know Shanilla is very hard and for you to get it on your birthday might not be the best gift ever.” The benevolent King of Xeris sat his eldest daughter in his spinning chair in front of the window while running his fingers through her scalp.  While he was proud to see his daughter inherit his hair color, he still felt bad that she lost the majority of her locks because of the event known as “magical puberty” for an Ephedian.  The king looked at his wrist and undid the chambers holding the trinket together with his fingers.  The thirteen year old widened her fuchsia eyes in shock as she witnessed her father giving her a treasure that he loved so dearly.
“F—Father…” The man smiled brightly at his child, seeing the confliction pass in her eyes.
“I’ve never been so proud to be the father of two wonderful young girls. You give me such happiness and strength and to see you grow to your potential?  By Ephedia, nothing can make me feel so at peace than to witness my baby girl getting her Shanilla and growing into a beautiful young lady. Happy birthday Izira.” The dark-skinned princess’s father carefully placed the trinket onto her wrist and adjusted it to fully fit without sliding off. “May you continue your journey as a princess of Xeris and to continue to be happy.” Tears stung the girl’s eyes as she jumped into her father’s arms in full force.  The man chuckled as he felt his daughter’s strength slightly crushing his ribs from the hug.  Strong arms embraced Izira as if to protect her from harm while she received the endless love coming from the gentle king.
               “Thanks Daddy…”
The memory of her father quickly vanished from her mind as soon as it came.  Izira felt her eyes sting from the water within and quickly fanned her face.  Why would she have that memory come over her now of all times?  She’s supposed to be continuing to work on rebuilding her kingdom right now!  This was not the time for her to sunder over old memories.  Then again, all Izira has been doing is working on her kingdom.  She hasn’t had any time to think about what happened before Gramorr attacked.  She couldn’t wish that things could go back to the way they were.  The young queen touched the cool glass with her forehead and took a deep breath.  Everything was just so…exhausting.  Draining. Depressing.  That horrible war really fucked everything up.  She remembered when things started to become tense between certain kingdoms before Gramorr showed up.  From witnessing diplomats screaming at each other to other kings and queens threatening to end treaties at a young age.  But throughout the mist of strife, Izira remembered how and why she was taught to keep a leveled head.
Even though her Shanilla was very short, the older princess’s hair grew back at a longer length.  The strands were so long and thick to the point where it was impossible to keep her hair in a ponytail when she would train to practice her magic.  It was frustrating on a lot of accounts.  Her hair would fall out of place and get in her eyes!  Izira was about to cut her hair in haste when she was suddenly stopped by a voice as rich as honey.
“Izira!  What did I say about making such hasty decisions?” Heels clicked across the marble floor towards the frustrated princess and stopped when the person stood in front of the teen.  Fuchsia eyes looked up to see slightly darker fuchsia eyes staring with both amusement and a hint of scolding.
“To not let your emotions become your way of thinking, mother.” The Queen of Xeris smiled as she fixed her daughter’s silvery hair.  Izira basked in the warmth of her mother’s long, elegant fingers removing her strands.  She watched as the very dark-skinned queen neatly pulled the silver locks into a better ponytail.  Izira used to hate it when people said how she looked like her mom.  She thought she looked more like her father but now the princess can understand why.  The woman was so amazingly beautiful.  Her hair was the brightest shade of blue and the length is astounding.  It almost went to the floor and was thick with tight curls. Her skin shined and glistened in the sunlight but it glowed and radiated in the moonlight.  Her skin was darker than the King’s and was said to be the greatest gift delivered from the heavens.  The queen’s eyes were envied by all because of the passion and tenderness they hold.  Usually, Izira’s mother would be wearing an elegant gown that flowed like a lily to the floor.  It had the signature colors of royal and light blue, white, and gold.  Her waist was wrapped with blue crystals encased in gold. But the real treasure rested upon the side of her head: the sacred and powerful Medallion of Xeris.
The powerful artifact held up the queen’s hair in a ponytail so the strands wouldn’t get in the way of the day’s training.  Izira was amazed of how her mother merely created a ponytail in a matter of a few seconds.  After being proud of her work, the royal queen walked to the tall bookshelf and looked for the spell book she was going to use.  The young princess touched the ponytail while still awestruck at how her mother didn’t even use magic to help her out.  Her eyes looked to the medallion that held the hair in place. Just how in the world could something that could reverse time and destroy kingdoms or planets be able to hold up hair like it’s an accessory?  Apparently the queen could read minds because she turned around and stroked the artifact.  She walked over to her daughter and bent down a bit to let Izira get a better view.
“I know you’re curious about the medallion Izira.  And since you won’t stop staring at it, go ahead and touch it.” The teenager slowly lifted her hand and gently made contact with the precious material.  She instantly felt a huge surge of energy swimming in her body.  It was as if the medallion was trying to speak to her.
“Wow…” The queen smiled as she put the book down on the floor and reached the artifact.  She carefully took off the medallion and all of her hair in its glory fell to the floor. Gentle hands delicately wove the medallion into the silvery ponytail.  Izira’s excitement was shooting through the roof but was able to keep it contained within.  Her mother caressed her face and bore a satisfying grin.
“Aww…my baby looks so pretty!” A red hue graced the dark-skinned teenager’s face from being slightly embarrassed.
“Mother!” A chuckle rose from the queen as she kissed Izira’s forehead.
“Can’t be embarrassed if it’s true dear!” The woman glided her hands down Izira’s hair to her face.  She sighed, seeing how beautiful her child is and how she’s ever so grateful to have such wonderful children. “I’ve never been so proud to have my babies.  Izira, I want you to keep the medallion.  It was going to be passed down to you later on but I think you’re ready to use it.  To be able to guide and protect your people.” The queen saw both fear and hesitation in her daughter’s eyes.  She hugged the teen with all of her strength to reassure her daughter. “I’m sorry baby. But one day, you’ll become a queen. You must know what to do and how to do it if your father and I cannot do it.  I know you will have the weight of the world on your shoulders.  But your people love you.  They want you to succeed.  They want you to guide them and lead them in your own way.  I want you to become a queen that’ll make both me and your father proud.  Especially me because you were my baby before your dad’s.” Both ladies chuckled at the comment.  Izira knew at that moment, she had to step it up.  She had to learn as much as she can and be disciplined.  She wanted to make her parents proud.  She wanted them to be at peace that she can rule her kingdom and leave a legacy for the day when her parents leave Ephedia.
A lone tear escaped the young queen’s eye as the memory of her loving mother passed.  Izira sniffed, trying to pull herself together.  Just…why is she getting so emotional all of a sudden?  She was doing just fine earlier!  Perhaps it is because she’s very exhausted from the work she’s been doing non-stop.  She just needs to get her mind off of these distractions.  Izira blew her nose with a tissue from the desk.  She threw it in the trash, taking a deep breath while trying to go back to work.  The twenty-seven year old picked up her pen and continued to sign several more documents. Each one was different from the other. One discussed whether an alliance should occur and another was about how the economy should get back up after businesses were destroyed.  Izira tried to read the words on the paper but her vision was blurry.  Very blurry.  She blinked to try to clear her vision but she felt water roll down her cheeks. The more she blinked, the more tears fell from her fuchsia orbs.  What the hell?  Why is she crying?  Why can’t she stop?  Izira tried to stop the tears but they just kept coming.  Before she knew it, the new queen of Xeris found herself sobbing.  She felt her shoulders drop from the weight of her kingdom finally being acknowledged.  It was too much.  Too much. Too much…!  Too much!  Izira felt it all now.  Everything. The fact that her parents could be dead, her kingdom being in utter shambles, her having to figure out how to rebuild the kingdom and society from scratch, having to negotiate with other realms to form alliances.  And to think that it was…her fault.
The realization hit her.  It was her fault.  It was all her fault.  She didn’t fight hard enough to protect her kingdom.  She didn’t fight hard enough to protect her people.  She let herself get captured and didn’t act for almost a decade. Izira released a heart-wrenching sob at her sudden realization: a failure.  There was no way she could be a queen of this realm.  So many people looked to her at a young age to lead them. To guide them.  To give them a sense of comfort that they will be protected throughout the war.  She let her parents down.  The guilt stabbed her hard in her stomach.  The caring father she adored and the loving mother she admired would be extremely disappointed in her.  They left their kingdom in the hands of the eldest daughter who would’ve caused their legacy’s downfall.  Izira felt her chest clench in agony as she tried to regulate her breathing.  She could see them now.  The disappointment and anger in the eyes of her parents, her people, the princesses who fought alongside her from the resistance, and her sister—oh no…Her sister…The Xerin queen felt the world crumble beneath her.  Sweet Ydinora…she failed the most important person the most…her younger sister…
“Oh dear Ydinora…I…I failed…Talia…” Realization hit Izira like a ton of bricks.  She didn’t protect her younger sister.  The young queen’s stomach tied itself in knots, leaving a horrible feeling to bubble.  Izira, the most powerful princess in Ephedia, the next ruler of Xeris, could not protect Talia when she was a child.  She remembered how much Talia hated it when their own people compared her to her older sister.  She also recalled how she thrusted so much responsibility onto a little seven year old because of the threat of an incoming war.  Izira was such an irresponsible person to even allow her younger sibling to go out all by herself.  If she didn’t let Talia leave…
“Izira?  Izira? Hey, are you in here?  We still need to attend a meeting soon.” A sweet voice entered the room full of sobs from the young ruler.  Entering the study, a seventeen-year old girl with skin of the earth and long hair of the color of ice flipped through the small stack of documents.  It wasn’t easy having to go through it.  Her honey-colored orbs were definitely tired and hurting from staying up late from reading between the lines of the papers.  She knew that tending to the kingdom would be exhausting, but she didn’t think it would cause constant migraines.  Her train of thought stopped when she heard the sobs of her elder sibling. Talia quickly slammed the door and put the stack of papers in a cushiony seat before she could console Izira.
Talia puts her hands on the older woman’s shoulders and gave a grip.  Poor Izira was still crying heavily that she didn’t know the person she was relentlessly thinking about was right next to her.  Talia feared that someone would walk into the room during her sister’s emotional turmoil and quickly sealed the door with her magic.  As soon as the deed was done, the Xerin princess grabbed Izira’s face and began to wipe away the tears.
“Izira?  Izira? Please, tell me what’s wrong?” The royal queen finally registered Talia’s voice and was able to quiet her loud sobs.  She constantly hiccupped to try to regain her breath and to prevent herself from fully wailing.  The dark-skinned queen felt her world crumble around her.  She wrapped her arms around Talia and embraced her as if their lives depended on it.
“I conph noo it.” Talia embraced her older sibling but couldn’t make out what she was trying to say.
“What?” Izira turned her head to let herself breathe and let her voice be heard.
“I can’t fucking do it Talia.  I can’t fucking do it!” The younger sibling felt her heart shatter from seeing her sister’s emotional state.  What happened to her?!
“Izira you’re not making any sense!  What can’t you do?”
“Anything!  I can’t fucking do anything!  I didn’t protect the kingdom.  I couldn’t protect our people from Gramorr.  I couldn’t even protect my only sister!  I’ve failed our parents Talia!  I’ve failed our people!  I’ve failed you!  How could I ever take the place as ruler of Xeris if I couldn’t even protect you when you were only a child?!” Loud cries filled the room from the distressed queen. Tears fell from honey-colored orbs and landed on silver hair.
Talia never knew that so much weighed on Izira’s shoulders.  The expectation that she would rule Xeris like their parents or that she would protect their people like it was easy.  Talia knew it wasn’t going to be easy.  But she understood why her sister is breaking.  Izira was a prisoner of that evil sorcerer for eleven years.  Both siblings didn’t know if either one was dead.  Guilt snaked its way into the teen’s stomach as she buried her face into the woman’s hair.  Izira shouldn’t be feeling this way at all.  Especially because it was Talia’s fault in the first place that Izira couldn’t fight at her full potential without the medallion.  She should’ve just stayed put at home and forget all about the festival.
“Izira…Izira!  You have nothing to feel guilty about.  None of that was your fault.  None of it! If anything, it’s all my fault.  I should’ve listened to you and stayed home. I was selfish and I…I…” Sobs came from Talia as years’ worth of guilt and self-loathing crawled out of her mind. Izira did only what a princess should at the time.  No one knew that it was Talia who had the medallion in the first place.  Izira sniffed and wiped her face with her clammy hands.  She pulled Talia down and made her sit on her lap.  She grabbed Talia’s face and wiped her tears while also giving a concerned look.
“Talia, you were just a child!  You were only seven!  You didn’t know still didn’t know how to correctly use your powers!  You barely got out of your Shanilla!  There’s no way you can take any of this blame when all you wanted to do was have a little bit of freedom and go to the festival like everyone else!  You didn’t know Gramorr would show up at a time like that.  You have not nor will you ever be at fault for what happened.” The younger Xerin princess opened her eyes and more water droplets came out.  Her sister was too kind with her words.  She might have been a child, but responsibility was already placed on her shoulders as soon as she got her Shanilla.  People were already comparing her to her older sister just because she hit her magical puberty very early.  Izira squeezed Talia’s cheeks for reassurance, as if she read the younger princess’s mind. “I know how much they talked about you.  And it wasn’t fair that they compared little Tali to your sister. I’m so sorry Talia.  I’m sorry that such a burden was placed on you when you were just a kid.  And I’m sorry that you’ve blamed yourself all this time for everything that happened.” Izira took a deep breath as she brought her forehead to Talia’s. “And I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you.  To see you grow up into a beautiful young princess.  I’m so sorry Talia…Please forgive me…”
Talia sniffed and wiped her nose with a tissue. Dear Ydinora did she love her sister. So, so much.  Maybe…maybe she’s right.  Talia was so hard on herself growing up.  She was only a kid.  How can a small child be able to cause a massive butterfly affect that wasn’t even their fault to begin with?  The Xerin princess placed her hands on her sister’s palms.  Talia relished the warmth and love of her sibling.  She looked into her sister’s eyes and cleared her throat.
“I forgave you when I saw that you were imprisoned.  You’ve been forgiven for years Izira.  But maybe you should forgive yourself.” The elder Xerin royal arched her eyebrow. “You were only sixteen.  You barely had any experience to fully rule while our parents were gone.  Expectations were put on your shoulders before me. Everyone put all of their faith on you to lead them like our parents did.  You were only a kid that knew better than me.  None of this was your fault either Izira.  You deserve to forgive yourself.  You didn’t know that Gramorr would show that day either.  You only wanted me to be happy.  It’s okay Izira.  Forgive yourself.” The royal queen’s eyes widened.  Since when did little Tali become so wise?  Izira felt more tears welling up in her eyes, realizing that she too has been hard on herself ever since the day that Gramorr invaded.  She buried her face in her sister’s middle and cried her heart out.  Talia’s grip became harder as she felt more tears rolling down her cheeks.  Both women felt their struggles, burdens, anger, sadness, self-loathing, and worries lift from their shoulders.
It was such a refreshing feeling.  They felt as if it was just them floating on clouds. Izira’s breathing began to slow after another minute of sobbing.  A hand was searching for the box of tissues but couldn’t feel for the object.  Talia grabbed the box and held it in front of the queen’s face.  Izira pulled out the tissue and blew her nose hard, almost sounding like a Psuelvo, a creature from Ephedia that sounds like the equivalent of an elephant on earth. Talia chuckled from the sound and blew her nose as well.  She wrapped her arms around her sister’s neck and laid her head on Izira’s hair after the used napkin was thrown into the trash bin.  A migraine was forming in the twenty-seven year old’s forehead from the constant crying and blowing.  She was debating on having Talia get up from her lap so she could find some medicine to help soothe the pain.  The woman heard her sister sigh and realized that she wasn’t gonna be able to go anywhere any time soon.  Talia blinked to try to relieve some of the pain from her eyes.  She happened to look over in the chair to see the large stack of papers she put during the rush of aiding her sister.  The meeting!  She totally forgot all about it!
“The meeting!  We forgot all about it!  We’ll be late if we don’t get going now!” Izira’s eyes widened as she forgot the important task at the moment.  But really, she couldn’t go to a meeting like this.  She was too tired and worn out from her emotional episode.  Izira missed out eleven years of her sister’s life and they were too busy trying to rebuild their kingdom to truly spend time with each other.  She kept a grip on Talia’s waist and pressed a button into the speaker.
               “Kylo?”
“Yes your majesty?” Said a deep voice coming from the machine.
“Cancel the meeting scheduled for the day.  Something got pushed back in the schedule and it’s very important that I look into it.  Tell the royals of Ignus that we will reschedule the meeting on Monday, considering how there is a small festival going on in that realm on the weekend.”
“Will do your majesty.” Izira took her finger off of the button and wrapped her arms around Talia once again.  Golden eyes looked at fuchsia orbs in confusion.
“We deserve a little break for once.  I haven’t had enough time to reunite with my sister properly.” Talia smiled as she hugged the twenty-seven year old with all of her strength.
               “I love you Izira.”
“And I love you Tali.” The princess of Xeris rolled her eyes.
“You haven’t called me that nickname in years! I thought I told you I didn’t liked being called that!” A grin formed on the woman’s face from both delight and mischief.
“And yet, I was the only one you allowed to call you that!” Blood rushed to Talia’s face as she tried not to act like a six year old wanting to hide under the covers.
“Oh…whatever Izzy.” Now it was Izira’s turn to blush.
“Hey!” Both women burst into laughter, feeling on top of the world.  Silence then filled the room and the Xerin siblings were just fine with it.  Izira never felt so content before.  Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind.  When was the last time she held her sister?  When was the last time Talia was excited to talk about something she was interested in?  How did their sisterly bond form to begin with?
Izira was in the study with her father while he was signing documents.  She loved sitting on his lap while he did paperwork. It would be just them in their own little secluded room filled with books, papers, and a spinning chair. However, the silence broke free from the room when a man with long brown hair pulled into a ponytail burst through the room.  He was breathing hard as if he ran from another realm to the office on foot.  The king and princess snapped their heads to the door as they waited to hear what the servant said.
“Your Majesty!  Queen Izora is about to deliver!” The king wasted no time as he hoisted his daughter in his arms and ran behind the royal servant.  Curious ten-year old Izira wondered why her father was running so fast to her mother.  Did something bad happen?  The group went to the large chamber filled with equipment for medical procedures. The royal queen was surrounded by the best doctors of Xeris and was doing her best to bring the new life into the world.
“One more push your majesty!” The queen grunted loudly but was drowned out when large cries filled the room.  Lo and behold, a tiny baby made their grand entrance and went into the arms of a doctor at the end of the bed.  The king quickly placed Izira on the couch at the far end of the room and walked over to his wife.  Two doctors moved out of the way and the gentle king gripped his wife’s hand.  He wiped the sweat off of her forehead and kissed her.
“Sorry I’m a bit late love.” Izora chuckled at her husband.
“If I wasn’t so tired and ready to meet my baby, I’d probably stab your butt with a crystal Tarek.” The doctor that finished cleaning the tiny baby came over to the royal couple and handed over the child.  Izora gently took the baby that stopped crying and gasped. Tarek was so full of emotion.  He was the one to start crying after touching his new daughter’s face.
“She’s so beautiful.  She can just fit in my hands.” Izora looked up for just a second to see her ten-year old daughter sitting on the couch watching the event unfold.  Tarek got up from his wife’s side and walked over to Izira. He picked her up and brought her over to Izora and her new baby sister.
“Izira, this is your baby sister!” The young princess stared at the newborn and was overcome with curiosity.
“Mommy, can I hold her?” Izora beckoned a doctor to sit her up properly so Izira can sit in the bed.  The young princess sat on her mother’s lap and held her new sibling with the queen’s help. That baby was just so small and cute! So this is what it’s like to be a big sister!
“What should we name her Tarek?” The king with silver locs tried to think of a fitting name, but he was so wrapped up in seeing his new child being held by his eldest.
“Hi Talia!  I’m your big sister!” As soon as the name was heard, the baby opened their honey-colored orbs to see a fuchsia pair staring at them in excitement.  Both Tarek and Izora were floored when the baby just opened their eyes to Izira.  Happiness filled the room and Tarek carefully pulled his family into his arms.                “Talia.  Our new baby’s name is Talia.”
Izira smiled fondly from the memory.  No wonder their bond didn’t break!  Their bond formed as soon as Talia acknowledged her name being called by her older sister.  No one could have this kind of bond anywhere else.
               “Hey Talia?”
“Hmm…?” The tired princess had her eyes closed but still acknowledged the sibling.
“How was it like on earth?” Talia has been waiting to hear Izira ask that question for a long time.  But she was too tired to tell her everything now.
“Can I tell you everything after a nap?” Izira giggled at her sister’s response.  She nudged Talia to get off of her lap and stood up.  She lead her younger sister to a couch on the right side of the room and laid down.  Talia followed suit and lied down next to Izira and almost fell asleep instantly.
“Of course you can Tali.  We have the rest of the night and the weekend for you to tell me everything.” She wrapped her arm around Talia and snuggled crystal blue hair. Izira closed her eyes, running off to the land of dreams where she, Talia, and her parents were together laughing at a horrible joke Tarek made.
“Your highness, the meeting has been cancelled for the day.” A diplomat with short auburn hair gave the news to the reigning royals sitting on their thrones.  It has been a long day in Ignus and they were busy organizing a little festival for the citizens to celebrate their hard work of rebuilding after the war.  The royal king wearing a short sleeved shirt and red pants sighed.  He ran his fingers through his bright red braids that went to the middle of his back. His tan skin slightly glistened due to doing physically demanding labor from helping his citizens rebuild their homes. He was really looking forward to this meeting with the Queen of Xeris.
“We should be patient Khalil.  After all, they’re still rebuilding too.” The woman beside the king tried to reason.  She wore a long strapless top that had sheer tails coming to the floor.  She wore a pair of dark red trousers with golden lines going in different directions.  Her dark skin wasn’t as shimmering as her husband’s considering she was taking a break from doing manual labor as well.
“I know we should Adeena.  It’s just—”
“Dad?  Are we still going?” A young woman with long and dark red Marley Twists in a red ponytail interrupted Khalil in excitement.  She wore here long dark red dress with gold accents at the top.  Her dark skin looked radiant with the dress and her golden eyes made her look astounding.  Everyone looked to the princess with a hint of disappointment.
“I’m sorry Karina.  But the meeting is cancelled.” The nineteen year old sighed in disbelief and sagged her shoulders.  She was really looking forward to meeting both Talia and Izira.
“However, they did reschedule the meeting on Monday.” The royal family perked up upon hearing the addition.
“So…does that mean…?” A voice entering the throne room caused everyone to look in excitement.  A man with silver locs in a ponytail wearing a pair of khaki shorts and white shirt drenched with sweat from working walked in.  He seemed to have aged a bit from the stress of war but it still made him look good.  A woman with long, crystal blue hair wearing the same attire walked in the room behind the man.  Her tears ran down her cheeks, joining the bucket of sweat that poured on her very dark skin.  The Ignus princess nodded in excitement.  She ran over to the couple and took each of their hands.
“You’ll be reunited with your daughters soon Mr. Tarek and Ms. Izora!”

Anitta and the 'BBB20'
The singer became the target of some criticism in early April, due to the 'BBB Big Brother Brazil'. Throughout the season, the mighty gave signs that she would cheer for Felipe Prior, so much so that a video of her family celebrating Prior's victory in a 'Bate e Volta' race went viral on social networks.
The brunette also became a subject when she invited the architect and ex-brother to a party at her home as soon as the global pandemic passed.
After the publication of the magazine 'Marie Claire', which accused Prior of having abused two women and attempting to rape a third woman in 'InterFAU' university games, several Internet users came to the public to demand a positioning of the singer, and to criticize her for having supported the former BBB.
The singer defended herself from criticism, stressing that like all people, she did not know the past of each of the confined, stressing not having a 'crystal ball'. Anitta also made it clear that she would invite any fun person to her parties, and that as a feminist she repudiates the act.

5 Songs That Shaped Me
Seeing as I sometimes call myself a musician I feel like this blog is lacking any musical content, so I decided to write a little something to highlight some songs that really shaped my musical taste over the years. I’d really be interested in seeing yours as well, so if you want to make a post like this yourself be sure to tag me! I’ll get right into it and go in chronological order; these are by no means the only impactful songs/bands for me, but they are, I think, some that had a big turning point in my life.
Matthew Good - Weapon (2002)
youtube
This song came out when I was 12 and up to that point I had no music knowledge whatsoever. I lived mostly with my mom and let’s just say that she was not the best person to introduce me to music. The only thing I had heard up to that point was basically a cassette of Shania Twain, over & over & over again, as well as whatever pop band was playing on the radio, so like the Backstreet Boys & the Spice Girls...One night I decided to be sneaky and watch tv past my bedtime and I ended up on the Canadian version of MTV and this song came up. I never heard anything like that before and I was just...blown away. It was so much more intense than any other music I’ve heard, had so much punch to it. Granted, this music is pretty tame but I didn’t know better. To this day I’m still a Matthew Good fan as I enjoy his music and the guy is a really nice artist overall. After hearing this song I decided to go out and find other music like this, which really branched out & was really good for me. For the next few years I’d get into metal, screamo, punk & rock, most of which is going to pass, but it laid the groundwork for my musical taste for the years to come.
Wintersleep - Drunk on Aluminum (2007)
youtube
So for the next 5 years or so while I was in high school I mostly just listened to generic rock & metal like Slipknot, Mastodon, Muse, etc. which was all fine as I was still exploring my musical taste without having really found something that spoke to me. When I moved out to college in 2007 I went around town to explore and ended up in a music store. They had a discount section for indie bands & something inside me told me to give it a shot, I looked through the albums and found this gem of a record by Wintersleep; just with the art on the cd case I felt the urge to buy it and it was one of the best decisions of my life. The minute I played this album it changed my life. This album, still after 10 years is still by far my favourite. I listened to it over & over again, it was just so good. I never heard indie music before and this was a game changer. I mostly stopped listening to metal all-together and got into the indie scene with bands like Arcade Fire, Interpol, Silversun Pickups & later on Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Deep Sea Diver, Half Moon Run & Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Indie music is a big part of my musical identity now and it’s in good part because of this song.
We Are Wolves - Psychic Kids (2007)
youtube
So 2007 was a pretty big year for me; I just discovered indie music and I thought nothing could shatter my music world more than that...I was wrong. One of my new roommates that I befriended was going to a show at a local bar and asked me if I wanted to come, I jumped on the occasion since college me was all about trying new stuff. I ended up in this small but cool bar (which I spent the next 2 years going on a regular basis, it was pretty nice) and this band comes up and start playing some of the most raw & intense music I’ve ever heard. Like, I listened to metal for years, as well as punk music, but this was something else. There was an energy coming from it so strong that I was speechless. I didn’t even know you could play keyboard like that, I didn’t even know what to call this music. In any case, I had to get more of this. Because of this song I got into stuff like Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, the Mars Volta, the Black Angels, & really any type of distorted & intense music. For some reason, this music felt closer to me than punk ever would.
Pixies - Hey (1989)
youtube
While this song came out a while back, I only ever heard it first in around 2008. I was at a friends house and they were playing music in the background, bunch of indie stuff like Modest Mouse, Elvis Costello, Bowie & such, then this song came up and I just didn’t understand what just happened. Pixies became one of my favourite band very shortly later, this music just speaks to me. There is such a raw energy coming from their music, without it needing to be aggressive or fast, it’s just...raw. I got really into all of their stuff (though I’m not a big fan of their reunion material, but that’s another story) and it got me into looking at older music, since I’ve never done that before. I got into the Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Slint, Neutral Milk Hotel & eventually into “weirder” music like Swans & Deerhunter. This song was a big part of that.
Scott Pilgrim Soundtrack - We Are Sex Bob-omb (2010)
youtube
When this movie came out I was fairly excited since I’ve read the comics and they were really good. The first 2 minutes of the movie literally changed my life, and I don’t use this lightly. While this song fell into a music style I already knew and loved, it still shaped me in a different way. Up to then I loved listening to music and discovering new bands, but that was it; I bought an old drum kit from a friend who had to get rid of it and I played a bit of it but it had been in storage for a few years now. When I first heard this song, I just remember thinking “I want to make music like this”. It’s the first time where I felt the need to MAKE music, this song triggered the desire to produce music like this, to make my own. It must’ve been like a week after I saw this movie and heard this opening song that I’ve bought my first guitar & amp and started playing the songs from the movie. I was terrible (I still am) and didn’t know how to play notes or chords, but still managed to somewhat play those songs and I loved it. Since I’ve heard this song I’ve been playing music (on & off, but as I get my work like together I’m playing more & more); I got my drums out of storage, started renting a jamspace, bought a better guitar when my old one got stolen, a bass, a better amp, so effect pedals. I can actually call myself a musician in good part because of this song, and this movie. Also this got me into fuzzier, grittier music like A Place To Bury Strangers & Death From Above 1979 and I’m thankful for that.
What Shaped You?
Now I want to know what songs shaped your musical tastes. What are some songs that had an impact on your life? What changed your world? I’m really interested in hearing what you guys have to say!

This brazilian article has some news about Walk On Water :)
Translation from Portuguese to English from our team:
Four years after 'unforgettable night', Jared Leto returns with Thirty Seconds to Mars to Rock in Rio.
Attraction from “Palco Mundo”, the alternative rock trio launches new single next Tuesday.
RIO - Five minutes before the scheduled time for the interview, at 3:35 pm, an encouraging message: "He is very interested. The interview will yield." The subject of the phrase in question is from the American star Jared Leto, 45, singer, songwriter, director and Oscar-winning actor - best supporting actor in 2014 for his role as a seropositive transgender in Dallas Buyers Club. Endowed with numerous and recognized positive attributes, Leto is also known for being a difficult, slippery interviewer with an unstable mood.
This time though, he really seems to be "super interested". After all, the conversation focuses on his beloved alternative rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, who rode alongside his older brother drummer Shannon in 1998 - multi-instrumentalist, Tomo Milicevic, completes the trio. And it involves another subject that is very interesting to the star: Rock in Rio, where they performed in 2013, when he flew over the audience on the zipline, called fans to the stage, made vows of love to the açaí, in a performance so memorable for the noisy fans of the trio.
"My God, that experience was unforgettable and transforming for us. The Rock In Rio’s audience does the show by itself. To this day, I remember the adrenaline rushing through my veins as I saw the sea of people chanting, from beginning to the end, songs like "Kings and Queens", "Closer to the edge", "This is war", "The kill"... And I think I'll remember this until the end of my life - melts the singer and songwriter, who will reunite at Rock in Rio on September 24, in the closing of the seventh edition, in the evening that will have the american group - Red Hot Chili Peppers as main attraction.
Leto is also encouraged by two years of hiatus, filled by a long and intense preparation work to live the Joker in the blockbuster "Suicide Squad" (2016) - which involved bizarre episodes such as the gifts he distributed to castmates (Used condoms, anal balls, porn magazines...) and the tests of annoying laughter with random people on the street - to be able to go back to the 30STM. The band returned to the stage at the end of May and is preparing to release "Walk On Water", their first single in four years, which sounds like yet another of their hymns to great arenas.
- We've been working on new songs for three years, and we've just finished "Walk on Water" this week. The single looks like a gospel song, at the same time it's a protest song. The song has a special energy. I look forward to hearing from our fans. When you compose a song and then release it to the world, it ceases to be yours. It's belongs to the people. I want to see how they connect with "Walk on water" and I'm curious to play it live in Rio.
Leto further explains what is the message of protest about some verses like "times are changing" and "do you believe you can walk on water?" Try to pass:
"The song raises important questions and dialogues with what's going on in the world right now. Who do you want to be? What kind of country do you want to live in? What are your goals? It's a timely song for the moment we're living in, and that's one of the reasons it was the first single from Thirty Seconds to Mars's new album.
In addition, a little is known about the successor of "Love, lust, faith and dreams" (2013). Information like title and release date follows a mystery. It is known, however, that Leto is an autobiographical composer, and his songs usually involve his vision of society. And, well, a lot has changed in the world and the life of the American from Louisiana since the last album was released. Will these changes be reflected in the next compositions?
- Yes. The United States is an important topic now, for example. Because what happens here, the debates that we have internally are a global interest. Reflect everything on the world. So examining, debating, and discussing our situation and how it hits others is something important to do now as an artist - says Leto, who publicly supported Hillary Clinton in the last USA presidential race.
Despite the current focus on the Thirty Seconds To Mars’s return and the production of the new album, Leto, as usual, is full of side projects - some completed and others underway. In October, for example, "Blade Runner 2049" premiered, the long awaited sequel to Ridley Scott's classic, which hits 35 years after the original, now with Denis Villeneuve in charge. Harrison Ford returns to the role of the android hunter - Rick Deckard, share the protagonism with Ryan Gosling. Leto will be Niander Wallace, the villain of the plot. In addition, he will produce and star a biopic star about Andy Warhol (1928-1987), as yet unannounced release date.
After all, how to deal with creative demands as so plural as diverse?
- Well, the main challenge is finding the time for everything. You need to build a great team that will help you achieve those goals and prioritize what needs to be done at a given time. And respect what excites you the most. What do you really want to do? What do you want to talk? Life is short, you know? Your book has many pages to fill, so write the story you want to leave behind and act on it - philosophizes.
Despite admitting that it unfolds to account for all the projects he embraces, Leto shows that he is far from putting his foot on the brake. Quite the opposite: he wants more.
"I was born to a single mother in the southern United States, and you know, we didnt have much money. She was struggling in her studies to become a nurse while taking care of two children. She did her best to make a better life for herself and her children. My brother and I take what we learn from it and apply the same professional ethics to everything we do. So I've learned that hard work pays off and overcomes times of apparent instability. It's the only way to fill in the gaps between you and your dreams and do something true” - concludes the star, before making a few requests: - “Tell everyone that we are homesick and crazy about anxiety for this reunion at Rock in Rio, okay? And buy an açaí for me.”
