going vaguely insane trying to figure out which character in AM corresponds to which in TSH. James is giving Richard but his spending habits are giving Bunny?? Remus is also giving Richard in the more traditional sense but he's not the narrator… Regulus is giving Francis for obvious reasons but he also seems way more in control and conniving than Francis's silly "are you mad at me??" self, so I feel like Regulus is going to serve the Henry Winter mastermind role. Which I think leaves Sirius to be more like Francis in the personality sense, coming back to Remus as Richard. And I think Barty is more of a Charles considering everything. (“Fuck the Lascaux paintings!” — I audibly gasped in horror). Not that it matters, cause I know you're forging your own path in the story & they aren't going to correspond precisely to TSH, but I'm trying to brace myself for the MCD and I am VERY aware of how TSH ends. I'm also very worried about Remus's simmering resentment toward James's wealth... Anyway I think you're a genius and a massive congratulations on your new job!

yes! the characters in AM do not correspond directly to the characters in TSH!! (emmeline and lily are both judy poovey-esque and regulus is francis-ish and henry winter-ish barty is giving charles atm and evan is just evan lmaoo) but they're all also still themselves as well,,, i hope??? that's what i'm trying to achieve!!

i absolutely love the lighting on dee, so dramatic and atmospheric, and you have PERFECTLY captured his cringefail loserboy swag. the hard light on his hair and face is just AH so so lovely. and also his pooooosee it feels like it’s trying to look casual but his raised up tight shoulders reveal his constant worry, which fits his character PERFECTLY

also the room and background, so dingy and dark, VERY much a dee room oh my gosh

and KIEV AHHHHH THE RASCAL !!!! HIS JOY AND WHIMSY!!! HIS SILLY GRIN !!!
