i don’t have any specific concrete ones good enough for a drabble buuuutt a random one perhaps until then (emperor ratio thoughts 1 / 2)

as mentioned, reader is from another kingdom and because he is a changed man, he wants to get to know more about her kingdom/what her practices and traditions are, and slowly it infiltrates into the way he rules his own kingdom, the food he begins eating, subtle changes in his own traditions that now reflect that of hers

when she points it out he just says that it’s because his daughters should appreciate both parents customs, trying and failing to pretend it’s not due to his own personal, sentimental reasons of wanting to be closer to her & then she begins teaching him (how the tables have turned) how to speak her language and whilst he picks up on it fairly quickly, he makes mistakes every now and then and he doesn’t even care that she’s pointing out the errors because he doesn’t mind not being perfect for once as long as he gets to hear her voice gently correcting him

but then bonus thought: i can see him taking the family to visit the kingdom she grew up in and of course he’s welcomed by the royalty over there, as he is a fellow emperor and the whole family interacts with theirs in the time period that they are visiting and travelling through…..but then he notices his eldest daughter has developed a crush on the other kingdom’s eldest and now he’s freaking out and demanding to reader that they return home and making a whole bunch of excuses about why they can’t stay until reader calms him down, knowing what the real problem is and stating that it’s just a little crush and it’s not a big deal ….. it works enough that he doesn’t outright drag them all home instantly but for the rest of the trip he’s glaring every time he sees the two interact and he feels stupid because they’re only teenagers but he can’t help it, it’s like an instinct he doesn’t realise he’s doing until readers hand finds his and she calms him down <3
