So, my favorite thing about rc would be how they always find some way protect each other, even though things are tough. They’re chemistry is so good! Carmen just had such an amazing personality, she works hard, so caring, wants do do what’s best for everyone, and spunky. My favorite episode….. that’s tough. Am I the asshole for refusing to take my girlfriends map route?

My girlfriend loves to take me on a different of adventures throughout the world, her main favorites were taking simple walks that would eventually end up at the other side of the city. She drags me along with her always even if i had told her multiple times that it's too early to go for a walk. My girl, sets her alarm at 3am and wakes me up to go outside and walk with her.

About a week ago, she broke the news to ME, that she booked us a hiking trip. Me being myself, i usually laze around the house and get some sleep, so hiking isn't definitely my thing. But either way she bought us 2 hiking tickets up a snowy mountain.

When we had 4 days prior before setting out for hiking, she immediately drew a map from the place we were going. I admit that she is definitely good at drawing maps, but i studied them and absolutely got confused. I gave up on doing so.

We arrived to our destination and she immediately grabbed her map out of the bag, she tried pulling me to the right side of the mountain but there was a map hanging by the wall of the cabin shop saying that the left side is where the mountain hiking is located. I talked to her about it and she told me that the map they made is probably fake.

We got into a small argument and i parted ways with her towards the left side and i fot lost, I was reported as missing and a group of search party was launched to get me back, Now I'm back with my girlfriend's hold and she's mad at me for not taking her word. We talked to the cabin shop for the map route and found out that there was no such thing as a cabin back on the mountain.

My girlfriend is so beautiful, she absolutely deserves the world.

Literally shes the best, I don't know what i even did to desrve her presence besides me, but im sos so thankful for it. Everyday i wake up next to her it feels like im blessed eith yet another peaceful and loving day knowing that everything is complete with her by my side.

She smells so good that it stays on my sense of smell, the way her fragrance litter her room and immediately smells like her once i enter is so peaceful and sweet. I seldom carry her little gifts in my small bag whenever im away from her to remind me of her presence, her perfume never leave my hands. My shelves are filled to the brim with her godly scented perfumes, her perfume is wuite expensive yet it doesn't matter. Her little girts are kept in a glass covered shelf to ensure protection and will never be broken.

Beside him walked you, a quiet beauty whose gaze drifted longingly over the displays of sparkling jewelry and luxurious clothes. Your fingers fidgeted nervously, a subtle sign of your inner turmoil.

Remy, ever the observant charmer, noticed your silent yearning. He'd seen it before - a flicker of desire followed by a swift retreat into self-doubt. It tugged at his heartstrings, knowing you craved the simple pleasures that life had denied you. He understood the weight of your past, the unspoken scars that made you hesitant to embrace the good things life had to offer.

Oh Captain, My Captain

My Little Note -> the 'Captain' John Price one-shot of 141 when the reader's apt gets broken into.

Warnings: slight swearing, unsure about continuation of the one-shot, gender neutral however i have not proof read ୨୧

"I hope you had a nice night," John grubbles over the quiet music. He looks beautifully rugged in the streetlights that are gleaming into his car.

"I did thank you, got me out of the house which I haven't done for a while." I reply sincerely, turning away when John catches me staring. It causes my cheeks to burn up and a chesty chuckle to echo across my brain.

My thoughts are interrupted by the stop of his engine, I look up at my apartment and sigh, "thank you for dragging me out, I hope I see you soon."

"Nu-uh. Don't be silly, I'm going to walk you up. Need to make sure my heart's at rest knowing you're safe." John replies as he walks over to the passenger side and opens the door for me.

"What a gentleman," I gush just after thanking the chiviralous man. He really knows how to fill up a tumy with butterflies.

We don't talk much on the way to my apartment, probably because he was behind me and in his words 'making sure I don't fall.' Like we have literally had the same amount to drink, he is the most dramatic man I know.

Once we reached my floor, he quickly matched my pace to walk by me.

He noticed it before me, the thing that made my stomache drop and heart jump into my throat. My door was agar, the one that I defintely locked. I triple checked for crying out loud!

John looked back at me with a look of worry and sympathy.

"Make sure you stay behind me, I don't want you to get hurt." He says cautiously whilst retrieving the gun out of his holster. Thank god he is here, I don't know what I would do otherwise.

He steps into the apartment slowly, looking around it thoroughly. The state it's left in causes me to audibly gasp, it's ransacked. John looks back at me with a look that asks if I am okay to continue, I give a short, weak nod in response.

He must decide that not enough for him because he swiftly turns us around and rushes us back down stairs and into his truck. He once again opens the door for me and only then, in the comfort of his car I ask a question, "what are we doing?"

"Well, I am going to call one of the boys to finish checking up and take you home with me. At least fot the night, is that okay?" He answers as he pulls out his phone to get 'one of the boys' on the phone.

"Thank you." I nod slightly sitting back, relaxing into the seat of his car. I let my eyes close and the softness of the radio soothes me into a peaceful sleep.

I wake up to the musky scent of Price's cologne surrounding me and I bury my head closer to the source - his sturdy chest that I was resting on as he carried me into his house.

"Goodmorning sleepy," John says as my eyes flutter open. I hum in responce, too enchanted with the fact I'm safely in this hunk of a man's arms.

He carries me into the house, only putting me down once he reached the bed.

"Okay, you can stay in here and I will be on the couch just in the living-room, I'll set out a tee-shirt andsome boxers for you to wear. Just wake me up if you need anything," he says rumaging through his drawers.

"We are both adults, can you please stay..?" I hesitantly ask.

"Of course I can love."

Hey lovely, Cami! Thank you for sending in your request! I decided to give you both characters with each situation. I was super excited to write this, so I hope you like it 🥰 Since this was asked on anon and I can't double check your age, I left the 😈situation as suggestive.

One bed trope with Law

Having to spend the night in the town you were passing through was far from ideal, but to make matters worse, there was only one hotel with an available room—one room, with one king sized bed.

His face twitched at the woman after she cheerfully told him about how lucky he was to book it, seeing as there aren't any other options around town. You butt in to thank her before Law's eyes burned a hole into her.

Entering the room, the both of you tossed your belongings to the side and stared at the awaiting bed. This situation was just as awkward for you as it was for him, but you tried to be an adult about it by commenting that this was only due to the circumstances.

Huffing at your comment, he went into the bathroom to prepare for bed, leaving you in the privacy of the main room.

Climbing into bed, you attempted to look natural; there was no position to make you appear as such, though.

When Law reentered the room, he shuffled towards his designated spot, keeping himself curled at the edge. The air felt thick with uneasiness, making you want to break the silence looming over you.

"At least it's a king size."

He didn't respond.

"Gives us more space to hug at the sides."

A slight exhale came from him, underlined with a laugh, "Yeah, sure."

Turning over on his back, the tense atmosphere began to disapate. The both of you exchanged small observations you'd noticed about the room and the day, helping you feel more at ease.

When you woke up, neither of you were clung to your side of the bed; you were lain comfortably next to each other.

Law walking in on you

This was the third time this week you disappeared. Where could you be going off to? He thought, the irritation was building, since he actually needed your help with something. Having the idea to check your room, he heard your voice seeping through, nearly inaudible. Focusing on what could be happening, you sounded like you might be hurt? No, maybe crying?

The irritability came to a hault; he was beside himself when he thought something could be wrong, so he opened the door—seeing you fully exposed was a complete and utter shock. Your eyes shot open to see him standing there, and you quickly tried to cover yourself, yelping at his sudden intrusion.

Stood at the door, dumbfounded, he finally stuttered an apology. He backed out of your room, slamming the door shut. His face remained bright red for the remainder of the day.

One bed trope with Crocodile

The absurdity of having to spend the night in a city like this was getting to him. And even yet, for whatever reason, you could only find one hotel with vacancy. Glaring at the receptionist, who was apologizing profusely for the inconvenience, he begrudgingly accepted what they had to offer—one measly room with one measly bed.

Trying not to let this ruin his entire night, he attempted to accept the current circumstances. There was no use in sulking over what couldn't be changed. Looking over at the bed, he gave you two options: either sleep on the floor or start mentally preparing to share a bed with him. He stated that he snored and advised you to fall asleep first.

You'd had a long day just like him, so you decided to share the bed with him. After getting cleaned up, you saw him handling some of the paper work that still needed doing.

He offered to turn the main light off but would leave the desk lamp on as he worked. This wasn't an issue for you; even if it was, he wouldn't have cared.

Following his advice from earlier, you settled down to drift off to sleep. You weren't sure how much time had passed, but you were woken up by his snoring.

Rubbing your eyes at the sight of the moon shining through the curtains, you came to realize that there was some extra weight pressed against you; his arm was wrapped around your waist, and he'd pulled you into a bear hug. Not wanting to call attention to this, you thought it'd be in your best interest to ignore what was happening and try your best to fall back asleep.

This was easier said than done, however, since his snoring only worsened—droning on into the late hours and leaving you with a sleepless night. When his alarm sounded, you pretended to still be passed out, hoping to avoid any awkwardness from his supposedly involuntary cuddling.

You felt his arm suddenly shoot away from you, along with the rest of his body. Pausing a moment, he got out of bed and ordered you to do the same.

Crocodile walking in on you

After the meetings held together, you were always quick to scamper off to god knows where. He didn't pay it much mind until you fled before he had the chance to ask you about a pressing matter at hand.

Figuring you'd come back soon, since you'd forgotten your coat, he waited for a bit. But as time passed, his impatience was getting the better of him. Setting off to find you, he passed by a closed door.

Sweet noises could faintly be made out from behind it. Who would be so bold as to try something like that? So, to confirm his suspicions, he flung it open and was met with you in a compromising position.

He shut the door behind him and warned you not to be so reckless. Scoffing at the sight of you, he doubted if you were even able to properly finish what you'd started. He'd offer to help you, but only as punishment for you scandalous behavior.

you grab the soda, opening it as you look at yanqing like you had just found something you disliked, causing yanqing to bicker around with you.

“hey!! general he sticked his tongue out to me!” yanqing pointed at you, causing you to dramatically gasp and clench your chest. “nuhuh!” “yuhuh!”

jing yuan only smiled, letting out a soft chuckle that made your heart jump in delight. “now, now. you two bicker a lot like brothers.”

“not true! if they were my siblings id rather sacrifice myself for someone i hate!” yanqing crosses his arms, looking away as you let out a “hmph!”

“come on, stop being mean.” jing yuan playfully nudged your shoulder, your cheeks burning red as you whine out. “his faultt!!”

“wh- MY fault?! oh youre getting it!!”

I think it's okay and even good that it might be frustrating. It makes a ton of sense for a game about healing to have frustrating moments because healing itself not garunteed to be a smooth or even linear process which IS frustrating when you just want to heal and return to normalcy. It isnt throwing a wrench in the works fot the sake of padding the plot or weighing down the pacing, it feels natural and serves a narrative purpose, lending weight to the idea that healing is a long, sometimes complicated process that isn't always smooth sailing. so the narrative, if anything, is advanced when mc encounters a potentially frustrating wall or set back. And not only does it make for an understandable and relatable story, but if you want to give potientially frustrated players a way to vent that within the story itself it could turn a frustration with the story's mechanicals or pacing to a way to empathize with mc.

Giving mc the chance to experience and react to setbacks through hope, frustration, or dejection in these situations literally builds their character, and being able to interact with that character building process in different ways depending on our mood or the kind of character we want to play through choices, even if its just an emotional response, is a big part of what makes interactive fiction so compelling in the first place!

It is why I have decided to go with this path, because as you said it fits the main theme of healing of the game, and healing is painful, frustrating and can bring one step forward and three steps back.
