and by the time you saw Zhongli, yknow, just the oldest god in game, making a fast-walk towards you, ykno the retired god who didnt move an inch when an old water god attacked Liyue for a test, is now hurrying to you???

ur logically get so fucking scared sm shits abt to go down, u just start running

it isnt until ur reaching for a ledge and some webbing shoots out of ur arm (from a glitchy little spot on ur arm, where it could be coming out of ur skin, but sometimes its a blue and red bracelet)

it latched onto the nearest building, and thats how u find out u can grapple ur way, literally Spiderman style, out of the harbor

and bro, idk if it would be fun, or confusing and stressful, or maybe both?? to just find out u can use any video game power from any game youve played before as you go running from countries bc for some freaky reason they know too much abt you/are pursuing you-

dUDE- they had small statues of you in like every little section of their cities

u head to Mondstadt and as Venti comes screaming and flying at you (in excitement, but ur freaked), u go to hold a hand up and suddenly ur holding a heavy stone tablet that unleashes some holographic yellow chains that freeze him in place-?? why is this familiar-

oh my god u have the sheikah slate from Breath of the Wild,

and as ur booking it out of there, u manage to get ahold of a sword, and u know exactly how to use it to knock back favonius knights trying to stop you (they are concerned for their god who is just unleashing random powers on ppl, pls let Grandmaster Jean just talk to you Your Majesty-!!)

by the time you teleport ur way to Inazuma, (bc u still have this worlds access to ur player/traveler’s powers), ur trying to find a nice place to stay for a little bit

at least in that sweet spot of the Raiden not noticing/finding you, while things cool down on the main continent, before moving on,

and u get some tools to help fashion just a little shelter, bc u dont have any money/mora rn, and ur able to literally build a house???

a mailbox pops up and thanks you for renting with Tom Nook???? As in Animal Crossing-

and rlly if the BOTW/slate thing didnt clue u into video game powers, then this definitely would tbh lmao

right as u see Yae Miko circling ur house, with an armful of books? ..is she planning to thru them at you??, u get the hell out of dodge before her favorite god can follow along

u get to Sumeru and think ur safe, hiding in an abandoned forest watcher outpost (1 person treehouse rlly) when Nahida shows up in ur dreams,

and u just,

walk out of the dream, into reality, and possess a nearby ruin guard so u can sleep in peace, bc she cant access a robot,

that one baffled u as you re-possessed ur own body before realizing-

U cant do that forever, so u try Fontaine, hoping Neuvillette/Furina wont rlly give af abt you, plus theyre the latest region, so maybe they have the least exposure to whatever the other archons didnt like abt you??

u get there and are immediately summoned to court, and right as the mekas show up to escort you, jfc they have a mecha army

(meanwhile, theyre thinking, yknow. high profile guest/our god of gods. ofc we need state of the art mekas to escort them, its only polite-)

meanwhile ur cape has now become wings, and a mask covers ur face as you glide and fly ur way over the city in an attempt to get to where u assume Snezhnaya is

it doesnt occur to you the game until ur running out of stamnia and catch ur reflection in the waters of fontaine, Sky: Children of the Light

u hope the Tsaritsa’s dislike for other gods/Celestia doesnt extend to ur otherworldly presence so ur just hoping for the best atp tbh

tbh youd forget what all powers you have, and the absolute chaos ur causing urself as u try to desperately rememeber what games youve played thru ur entire life is NOT helping to reduce confusion when u randomly wake up with elf ears (legend of zelda/botw) or get dragged into another ruin machine when u fall asleep/faint/do smth u guess mimics death lmao- (fnaf) 💀

we haven't had that many sessions, but Mikira casting Command on a ten years old mute street kid because she was sure they were up to nefarious things...both halfie and aang were looking at her like gurl you have issues. can't wait for them to talk about it in game. the street kids were casing the joint, mostly to know if the mean tiefling (an ex-player) was still there, but now they have Opinions on the group and will be doing Shenenigans.

my players want to start a campaign to get omnibus cards implemented in waterdeep, because they're tired of paying the fare every time. the funniest thing is that they've met a number of masked lords already, they just don't know it so if they keeping talking about it it may actually happen.

Aang character trait is that everything is new and amazing for him, so it was an Ordeal when they brought him to the opera house. fun fact the play they saw was about the fall of tiamat, really sad Mikira stayed outside for that one.

the NPC they adopted right away is the overworked secretary of the overworked high wizard of the town. they love him because he has taken Akra down a peg in their first conversation (both Akra and him work for the wizard) and they now come to him for anything ranging from 'is this dude really an important person and can we trust him' to 'where can we get cheap fancy clothes to go to the Opera' his name is Henry and i'm writing a full backstory for him now.

oh and we ended last session with Aang singlehandedly taking care of two wererats who were lurking around the players' tavern, so now he's sitting on a barrel with a naked halfling inside, waiting for the girls to come back, so he can maybe butter up Mikira with how good he did protecting the tavern, like a cat bringing you a dead mouse.

This is gonna' be a long one- Okay, in all of the Grian's backstory fanfics I've read, the Watchers are almost always assholes. Can we get a story where they're like the best eldritch parents ever? Like, yeah they stole Grian and Taurtis and Dom from their world, but they were in an abusive situation- that no one really stopped or mentioned besides joking about it. So why is that seen as a bad thing? 

 Can we have an au where the watchers are just two asexual beings that love each other and really wanted kids. And they just so happened to find three that had no positive parental figures. So why not nab them? The watchers are concerned over their lack of self-preservation, but hey, they can fix that, hopefully. It's questionable if they succeeded, but at least they don't g running into danger right away. 

Like, can we have cute family scenes of the Watchers teaching them to fly, or use magic? Can we have them learning about the other worlds, and wanting to help them? Hence, Evo and their other series like Build Swap and Hermitcraft.

What if it was both? Some Watchers are assholes, and some are super nice. Watchers are based upon the viewers/subscribers after all. And some of us can be assholes, and some of us can be rather nice, yes? So hear me out.  

The Watchers that kidnapped Dom, Grian, and Taurits are some of the nice ones, and they warn them away from most of the really mean/negligent ones. Because both can exist. I'm just a little tired of most people deciding Grian had a terrible life until Hermitcraft. 

 Yes, YHS was extremely angsty- the entire world is canonically destroyed and it can be blamed on them and Sam- but what about his other ones? I mean, what about Evo itself? Grian was happy on there, playing with friends, for quite a while until he got burned out and joined the Watchers. 

 So it could easily be said in a backstory of sorts that while he had fun with his friends and brother-figure, he still missed the first positive parental figures. (I mean in YHS his character mentions his bio parents abandoned him at six years old onto the streets of Japan) That doesn't mean he has to stop visiting them though, right?

And what about Build Swap? Think about how many guest judges or players he invited during that series! What if that was the character's way of brightening up someone's day, making them laugh? Giving them a chance to have a better day. 

 Imagine the Watchers being the ones to teach him redstone. Because back when the redstone was simpler, Grian was actually really good at it. I mean, just think about NPC Grian and Robot Grian. The dude made a robot version of himself just because his voice was messed up. So perhaps, while he never really understood the more complicated redstone, they taught him how to make artificial life. Like how in Hermitcraft he makes Grumbot and Jrumbot.

Also, he was always a mischievous gremlin from the moment he got out of YHS- whose to say that wasn't a way the Watchers helped him find to cope in a healthy way. Something better than murder or self-harm.  So when Evo comes around, he's wearing green, as red has t r a u m a associated with it. He eventually goes back to wearing red, but by then he's worked through that part of his problems. Not to say the red isn't a different shade now though

He's traumatized, and certain sounds still cause him to jump, but he's getting better. The dude deserves to have a positive and supportive family. Perhaps the Watchers are a little overprotective sometimes, but that's okay. 

They might make a point to kind of intimidate Xisuma when he comes to invite Grian, but that's okay. They might make a point to secretly visit, but that's also okay. Because sometimes their kids have bad days, and just need to be hugged and comforted and assured that everything's alright. It doesn't matter that they're adults now- Dom, Taurtis, and Grian are still their kids, even if it's not by blood.

Impromptu Ramblings about the NEO:TWEWY Demo

In case y'all weren't aware, I've been a pretty big fan of TWEWY for a couple years now, and with the sequel coming out next month, the excitement I feel for this game is greater than ever :) I played the Demo for the first time yesterday, and following a couple views of some livestreams of others playing it, I felt like sharing my (very ramble-y) thoughts prior to the release of the full game. This post WILL contain spoilers for both TWEWY and NEO:TWEWY, so if you want to avoid those from now on, please block the tags: #twewy spoilers, #ntwewy spoilers, #neo twewy spoilers, #ntwewy, and #neo twewy ^_^ Oh, and if you wanna keep up with any other posts I make about my experience with this game, please refer to the tag "kat plays neo twewy" :)

-First things first: I have not watched the Final Trailer and I don't plan on doing so to avoid spoilers, especially after the pre-release era of KH3 where a lot of the later trailers spoiled a lot of the endgame content. That being said, I've seen some minor screenshots from the final trailer including what many believe to be characters from the original TWEWY, namely Shiki and Joshua. That is all I know about the Final Trailer and I would very much like to remain as blind as possible going into NEO :)

-The very first cutscene was quite ominous in the sense that this game is likely going to be about "changing fate" (a recently common theme in Squeenix games, which I do appreciate), perhaps leading off from the end of A New Day in the OG and trying to stop an Inversion of Shibuya. Also worth noting that A New Day had similar aspects in which the main character experienced "future visions" of tragic events, although in A New Day these events were not able to be changed, while in NEO it seems like one of the main "powers" our protagonist has is specifically to rewrite these events and avoid a "bad ending." Very interesting indeed!

-I really like the revamped comic book style dialogue scenes, it's much more fluid and modern, which is an excellent direction for the series to take!

-I would love to have an actual PokemonGO knockoff of Final Fantasy creatures, please Squeenix that would be incredibleeeeee

-Also the LINE stickers??? Are so cute???

-I would just like to point out that Fret is an absolute treasure throughout this entire demo, he's hilarious and I will protect him with my life

-UHHHH don't like that Fret picked up some Reaper Pins just out of nowhere.....or the fact that they're apparently popular all over Shibuya.............did y'all not learn anything from the OG game or what lmao

-Okay so when I first got the "curry or ramen" scene and heard NPCs talking about the new curry place replacing the old ramen place I became IMMENSELY distressed that Ramen Don was totally cut from the game because....well, Ramen Don is a King okay?? But I'm glad to learn that no, he didn't fall off the face of the earth, he's still in business and he's the one opening the curry restaurant lolol. PHEW, crisis averted!

-.....I don't like the sudden appearance of a Wall Reaper and being able to read NPC thoughts. Wtf happened when they left the ramen place??? Are they playing the Game alive somehow?

-Okay so I have my own theories about this "Swallow" character and what they're up to but considering this is only the Demo and I still Have No Idea What's Happening, I'm just gonna say that I think Swallow intentionally led Rindo and Fret to the Crossing so they could join the Game. I mean, add in the fact that Swallow still communicates with Rindo during the Game and you've got yourself a suspicious character right there lol

-"Hey they're shooting off fireworks!" Fret honey that's not fireworks oof (see also: "*laughs* I'm in danger")

-WOOOOOO way to traumatize Rindo right off the bat like that LMAOO

-The visuals for the intro are VERY GOOD, the song is pretty decent until it gets all "screamo" (which I absolutely cannot stand sorry lol)

-Shoka is every Customer Service employee ever and I respect that

-Susukichi went from being "meh" to "WOW THIS GUY IS FUN" in the span of 10 seconds and I also respect that (he is also built like an Absolute Unit which is hilarious)

-The Wall Reapers (and just Reapers in general) seem.....way nicer and more helpful this time around?? She only wore business casual bc she would go and work for seven hours and come home, sleep, repeat. When she started working on the farm she was broke as hell so she had to rip the sleeves off her shirts and cut her jeans into jorts so she could have work clothes

Emily was her first friend in town bc she saw ivys busted ass and said..... let me help you

She became friends with Sam second just because. He was around.

She inherited grandpa’s farm with her cousin, Oakley (my friends oc, once she finalizes a design I’ll draw them more).

Oakley’s more “mature” (bc shes 30) but she just is really anxious. Ivy tries to set her up with Leah but they don’t click,,, Oakley ends up falling for chicken man.

Sam introduces Ivy to Seb and instead of Farmer falling for NPC its the other way around Fr.

Seb crushes on Ivy immediately

His first attempt at flirting was like “hey ivy...... wanna see me beat Sam at 8pool for 3 hrs straight?” And Ivy immediately joined Sam’s side and demolished Seb in 8ball.

Ivy ended up hanging out with the ASS trio on a daily.

Seb and Ivy started dating Fall 1 of year 1 after they confessed their feelings for each other during the dance of the moonlight jellies festival

They moved in together 3 days after Seb’s bday

And were married Summer 10

They fast burned this bitch but they are so stupidly in love

In Year 3 Spring Ivy’s other cousin on her moms side became pregnant and chose to give it up for adoption, but beforehand she asked everyone in the family if they wanted a baby

Quick Facts About Milo:

Milo was smuggled into Pelican Town by the Traveling Merchant when he was 6 and was taken in by Gil and Marlon.

Gil was 55 and Marlon was 46 when they “adopted” Milo

Gil took the most care of him and Marlon kind of had the attitude of like... a dad when your family pressures him to get a dog. First week their like FINE I GUESS we have to TAKE CARE of HIM. Next week: me and the bestie!

Milo looks up to Gil so much. His favorite brown jacket was Gil’s old one.

Marlon took Milo into the mines when he turned ten as a sort of “coming of age” trip and.... a bat nipped a part of his ear off.

Gil was upset but got it patched up.

I head canon that Evelyn taught the kids in town before they went off to high school, so four times a week (he’d usually stay home Friday to reset and relax or help out his dads) he’d have to socialize with the others

But he was always a few years older than them so he felt kind of distant

The others in question were Alex, Penny, Sam, Abigail, Sebastian, and Maru

Once he graduated middle school he convinced Gil to let him homeschool so he could find geodes and sell them during most the day.

When he was 17 he finally reached floor 120 of the mines, but on his way climbing back up he got attacked by three squid kids and void spirits, lost his left ear, and blacked out

He was rescued by Marlon, who rushed him home and took care of him

Because Pelican Town didn’t have a doctor at that time, the bus was broken down, all Marlon could do was try and clean up his ear and give him antibiotics and make sure it didn’t become infected

He lost his hearing in that ear

That was the biggest injury he’s gotten so far, but he was grateful when Harvey moved to town

Harvey opened his clinic, fresh faced (ish) at 26 and immediately some scruffed up 24 year old saunters in like “thank GOD ur here dude, here’s fourteen years worth of problems. Good luck.”

Quick facts about Pheobe:

Pheobe actually grew up closer to the desert than Zuzu City or pelican town!

Her parents own a decent sized cacti farm and she’d bus into town for school where she met Sandy and Emily!!

I like to believe there’s another town (not as small as Pelican) but close knit in the desert. I hc that Sandy’s shop, skull caverns, and the trader are just like the entry road to a nice desert town

Anyway

She got into fashion and design when Emily pulled her and Sandy into it in sophomore year of high school

Sandy didn’t like it that much and would usually hit glue or staple pieces bc she’d procrastinate the whole time lol

But Pheobe and Em where DEDICATED

they’d hang out after school to design clothing and critique each other’s work (with love, of course)

Pheobe went to college for clothing design with her backup being IT and computer work (another passion of hers)

She started dating Sebastian when she met him during a trip to a small computer repair store in ZuZu city

He thought she was cute so he gave her his number and they met at Stardrop Saloon

She felt a need to like him, not because she was actually attracted to him in any way, but because she was a ~closeted lesbian~

So that relationship didn’t last too long

That’s when she realized she liked her best friends... Sandy and Emily

Emily and Sandy were already in a pretty open relationship by the time Pheobe came around, but it still took her some courage to admit her feelings to them.

They started dating when all three of them were around 26.

Emily moved with her sister Haley to pelican town a year into their relationship, and Sandy and Pheobe followed.

They bought a car so Sandy could maintain her shop in the desert

There is now a house where that garden that Harvey stands in 25/8 is. And Sandy and Pheobe live there. I don’t make the rules.

Pheobe and Emily work together on a small clothing company, they design the clothes together, Emily makes them, Pheobe made a website and uploads them there, and Sandy sells some at her shop :D

The three of them would like to tie the knot one day, but right now they’re super content on where they are, so sometime in the future :)

Heyyy! I found your blog shortly after The Arena got its big makeover and I didn’t pay too much attention to the other wizards descriptions, so do you have any info/headcanons on them? (determinedowl23)

!!!! You have no idea I have so many headcanons! First tho if u want info: scroll down to the list of arena npcs and you can click on them to get their old in game appearance, name, title, and description (the descriptions are like 1-2 sentences long.)

As for headcanons I have a bunch in the 'arena wizard blogging tag' on here already (so far I've done a headcanon post for Gina, Cameron, Bannard, Flora, Nick, Lillian, and George, but I also have a bunch of other random headcanons in the tag) but to answer your ask here's a quick long highlight reel of my favorite headcanon(s) about each wizard! Some of these are things I've shared before, but some r about people I've never talked about before :) there are 20 characters and I'm bad at being succinct, so strap in folks

Gina has bad luck, or she tends to end up as the target of every spell or piece of machinery that goes awry and she can't do anything about it because she sucks at magic too much to levitate it away lmao

Crios didn't want to be friends with Cameron, cameron just followed him around until he was worn down and just got used to having him around all the time. Now he's so used to him that despite his constant complaining about cameron, he will be even more annoyed if he doesn't have him there to be annoying and do errands for crios.

Bonus cameron one because he's my favorite: his hair is naturally curly and black, he just dyed it to look more like crios. Funnily enough, crios's hair isn't actually naturally orange either.

Mila tends to hang around young wizards more than the wizards at her level, she thinks they're more open minded (which is kind of because they don't have common sense, but she considers that helpful to 'thinking outside the box') and she has a lot of fun mentoring them.

Benjamyn is best friends with fuschia, because thanks to growing up with sisters he's always gotten along better with the girls at school than the boys. Also that leather apparel is hot as heck, but he doesn't take it off because he's just a cold lad man

Fuschia has an eye for small details and is especially good at judging whether people are kind/genuine or not. Some rumor that her pet mystyyk can sense that she has a pure heart and that that's why it chose her, but in reality it's just because she lured it I with lots of treats :3

I've said this one before but bannard is hard of hearing and has no idea what is going on half the time. He's fairly magically gifted and VERY good at scaring away monsters (it's because he never stops yelling) but he's kind of held back by not getting enough accommodations. He doesn't seem to care tho, he's just here to have a good time :)

I know the reason leena is called the metal head is because she likes rocks not metal music, but you can tear electric guitar playing leena from my cold dead hands <3

Finneas is a terrible influence on everyone he meets, he skips like half his classes lmao </3

The lunar wand was made for a werewolf, is it that farfetched to believe another type of shapeshifter might use it? Why are djinnas pets all fish based instead of ghost based if she's a spirit? I'm a Nick = Young Santa Claus truther but that's more of a theory than a headcanon, so other than that I think he's autistic and has a special interest in Christmas and thats why he involves it in a lot of things :) also he gives everyone gifts year round and uses Christmas decorations as fidget/stim toys

Not to do to autistic/special interest headcanons in a row buuut Lillian is also autistic and has a special interest in pets and you can fight me on that. Also Lillian lives with professor scoog (he's her uncle, don't question how that works) and they both loooove rambling about old and new pets to each other

Korathius is one of the only students who's lived on prodigy island his whole life, and him being raised by magic pets is the reason he's in the higher level ranking.

Jen has had several near death experiences.

On George's first day on the island he exploded half his hair and shirt, took apart the wheel of wonder (he tried to put it back together but it ended up falling onto gina when she leaned on it because he did a bad job), and accidentally caused a minor eruption in bonfire spire (he just wanted to see what would happen if you cast spells from underneath the lava, he thought they weren't working so he casted a LOT of light waves.)

Aurora is so mean <3 she will stab u with an icicle if you try to prank you or sneak into her house (which is a small ice castle she built on the iceberg she floated over on.)

I dont have a lot of nova headcanons, shes just a nice gal, u know? She makes really good cookies if its worth anything

Crios is a sore ass loser, he probably decided to start dueling out of spite. Also, he's the one who beat the dark tower the canon where your wizard isn't there.

omg they're ancient OCs from my old stories i made as a kid LOL (anon is talking about this post: https://asuraaa.tumblr.com/post/649505791231115264/2000-2021-2005-2021-scribbling-more-old-ocs) monty was a sort of NPC for a story i called the 5th dimension. his job was the help the main characters figure out how to move forward when they all magically appeared in a new realm. just a super chill dude, talked kind of like a surfer, and told them what items they needed to gather and helped them on their journey. ewan was part of a story about angels and demons based on christian mythology, he was a messenger angel that would help bring news between heaven, earth and hell. he's a huge scaredy cat and gets caught up in some trouble at some point... both stories were things i was working on between like... the years 2000 and 2006 mostly, but i do still draw characters from them randomly and the stories still live deep in my mind (kye is another one from the angels and demons story haha: https://asuraaa.tumblr.com/post/649310709312831488/redraw-your-old-oc-meem-glad-is-an-old-oc-from) anyway thank u for your interest in those old things, anon! dskjdsajkldsajkldsaljkdsa okay okay get ready for an info dump lol At the current moment our group consists of: (V) A brooding human fighter who (kidnapped) adopted my character because he's secretly soft, (R) An asshole noble of a druid who currently is missing cuz he ran away during a fight with some tree giants, (Oli, aka my character) an artic half-elf (???) rogue who is a literal 4'8, 62 pound, touch starved 12 year old with extreme trust issues and a high kill count,

(Grandpa) A wizard dragonborn who my character adores and almost killed on accident due to an issue with a too fast and exciting griffin ride, (BB) A tiefling monk who can kill you easily but my character follows her around like a lost puppy because she is the groups big sister, (T) an CN asshole of a eladrin bard whom I love and who is also a horrible influence on my character, (Yee-Haw) a human fighter who is very southern and very dumb and is the fun uncle of the group (Bas) our human paladin who is both our only healer and a major alcoholic and himbo, and finally our latest edition (L) another human fighter who tries his best and also kinda just had his entire (npc) team murdered during a fight. And as for our animal friends we have Cat who is my characters best friend, Boar, who is a Boar that likes my character and follows them around. We have Owl Bear, who is an owl bear cub my character found, we have Rat, who is a Rat V gave to my character, We have Snake who Bas gave to my character and we have Fox who....V also gave to my character....and finally we have Kodiak who is a griffin my character befriended, We visited her recently and her eggs will be hatching soon and then my character will have four griffons :) .....My character has a lot of animal friends lol. And they aren't very good at naming them as you can tell. Currently our group is on the way to a place called Reme, where the order is located. The Order being a major group that controls a good portion of the trade that V, Bas, and L are apart of. We're currently supposed to be delivering a letter. And then last session we got attack by the technical maybe BBEG of this Campaign. Which are two half-dragons who are a part of this big group of half-dragons called the Ten headed dragons. We weren't just fighting two half-dragons, one of which was already killed twice and brought back to life and the other who was invisible, we were also fighting a bunch of bandits, and two mages. It was a rough fight, L's whole team (8 npc's) were killed and our carriage (We usually travel on foot but Grandpa broke his leg so he needed help) was set on fire and literally everyone went down except for my character and BB. But thankfully everyone survived (Aside from the npc's and horses rip) We were trying to rest, which included a moment where my character and V bonded and got a little drunk (Well, My character got a little drunk. But V rolled a 3 for his con save and got shitfaced lol) But my character was awake and heard some voices and woke everyone up to go hide in the woods while they went and checked. They found someone in a cloak, who teleported the two half-dragons corpses' away, and even though my character rolled really well on stealth the cloak dude had a detection spell of sorts up and he knows that they are currently there. And there's where my DM ended that session :,) And that's where it is so far! I'll have to add a part 2 once we have next session so I can say what goes down with my PC :D But a LOT of stuff has happened in the campaign, tons of shenanigan's and bad rolls lol. Bard and rogue a screaming contest in a tavern because the rogue wouldn't move her long legs to let the cute elf npcs sit

The rogue bought the female elf npc a glass of pineapple juice, the bards player informed me the reason she bought it was because it makes you taste better. I was horrified.

"I pull out a small round container of Vaseline and stare into Genevieve's (elf npc) eyes as I generously spread it on my lips." "Do they even have vaseline in medieval times?" "I have no fucking clue, medieval vaseline then."

When the elves ended up murdering hundreds the mother fucking rogue was still lile "GENEVIEVE DO YOUR SHOES NEED SHINING??? GENEVIEVE PLEASE, PLEASE MY LOVE-"

.... Rogue played cat and mouse with a metallic dragon.

Rogue had private time in a not so private place. Fuck stealth rolls.

Wizard fell out of the wagon and smashes his face onto the floor.

They murdered an npc on the side of the road and flex taped her to the bottom of their wagon. They plan on using her body for a demon later on.

Our stupid as fuck bard rolled a nat 20 to figure out where they were, rogue rolled a nat 1. The rogue just spat a tooth at an npc while the dumb bard gave their exact coords and then passed out face first into the floor. Hardest I've laughed during a game.

Rogue tried to get down and dirty with a cowboy named Jesse, learned Jesse was ase and nearly fell out of her chair.

Honestly I have no clue how to explain this other than a much smaller and hornier version of Merlin from Disney Sword in the Stone climbed ontop of a counter in an inn in his night clothes, ripped them off to reveal heart print undies, and then our bard tried to jump up to impress the inn keeper boy he liked and rolled a 3 on dexterity while a fucking nat 20 on charisma. He ate shit falling off the counter but the dude he liked found it adorably endearing.

Our wizard grabbed the old man by the ankles and yeeted him out of the inn for watching our bard as she slept. He's a good boyo.

They had a custody war over a butterfly dragon polymorphed into a cat, his name is George.

Coming right back at ya with the same ask because now I'm curious - thoughts on each Half Life game?

putting under cut cuz it’s kinda long~

hl1 - indifferent, bordering on dislike. i can’t stand older games because the gameplay and quality frustrates me. i played the whole game in gmod (thank u to the person who made the resized maps addon) in order to keep the frustration to a minimum, but i can’t think of much that stood out to me about the game :(

opposing force - second favorite game! i despised fighting the military in the other games because im Bad At Games and they always killed me, so it was nice not having to worry about them so much in this one. the alien designs were cool and i LOVE adrian and the way he just...*clenches fist*...pets bugs.....boss fight sucked tho and the game still kinda got the same problems as all old games. altho the ending felt..really sad. not sure if it was supposed to just end on a black screen til you closed the game yourself but it did for me and somehow that just made it even sadder knowing that my boy is just trapped in purgatory indefinitely until gman/valve finds a use for him (if they ever do)..

decay - fun friend times! unfortunately me not processing plot points goes double for this game bc i can’t focus on that stuff when friends are around but i really like colette! she seems like a really fun character and i wish there were more voice lines from them cuz the few that i could find of hers were Extremely Good. love that woman and the way she just.....*clenches fist*.....*cackles maniacally*

hl2+episodes (grouping them together bc i don’t remember enough about them for it to be worth listing separately) - altho it still isn’t quite my type of game (i prefer open world/exploration and/or LOTS of npc interaction), it certainly is a step up from the older ones in the series in terms of gameplay, graphics, and character development. i don’t remember much past kleiner’s lab - usually when i try to replay it, the moment it throws me into combat im like “hm! i think that’s enough for today :)” - but i do have good feelings towards the whole beginning section bc of how much time me n my bffsie spent fucking around with those scenes in gmod. after that..not much i remember in detail (im sorryyy i only played through them once and i have bad memory + trouble processing what’s happening until the second playthrough), but i can say 1) i adored the antlion battle in ep 2 and played through that section multiple times just for funsies, 2) fuck the strider battle, 3) hunters. are so. fucking. cool.

alyx - aaaaaaa!!! the graphics!!!!!!!! the animation!!!!!!! the environment interaction!!!!! i want to play it!!!! tbh alyx was never really my type of character, but i love hearing her interactions with the other npcs and the dialogue is terrific (LOVE that vortigaunt dude). i’ve watched the first few parts of wayne’s playthru but i kept getting sidetracked so i’ve yet to finish it, but i like what i’ve seen so far :) i do wish more of the environment interaction from the first room(s) had carried throughout the rest of the game, but i can easily see why they didn’t. i just like vr games that allow you to play with ur surroundings (like job simulator) and the combat tends to blend together after a while so i don’t find those parts as interesting.

black mesa - yes!!!!!! favorite game!!!!!1! 10/10!!!!!!!!!! this is the only game in the series that i actively like and would want to replay multiple times. i know it’s technically fanmade but honestly it fixed p much everything that frustrated me about the original game and made it even better. i spent like more than an hour in the starting area just playing with every little thing and talking to all the npcs and i love how much more fleshed out they feel. PLUS!!!!! XEN!!!!!!! HOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!!! it’s SOOO much nicer in this game than the disgusting cheese blocks in og xen..gfuck. i would LOVE to just have a stand alone game that allows me to freely explore bm!xen because it’s so!!! gorgeous!! the puzzles were so much more fun and the environmental storytelling + atmosphere was so much better, and i loved that there was so much variety in the types of environments within xen. it feels like an actual planet with its own unique ecosystems and it looks beautiful. i kinda wish they had kept more true to the feel of the og nihilanth design, but the final boss fight is so much better, i love not having to wander around aimlessly bc the game fails to properly indicate what it is im supposed to do.

First time crying because of a pokemon game

Man the last time i got to review something was probably 7 years ago during high school english class. I am by no mean a writer, yet again a game reviewer. This is just my honest take on the game bc it saddens me to see that a lot of people are shitting on the game especially with the dexit, short game, lack of action and the paid DLCs just announced. I‘ve been playing pokemon for 10 years or so (my first game was saphire) and despite the flaws this game has, i truly enjoy it.

1.) First of all. dude u gotta appreciate the visuals of the game!! LOOK AT THOSE!!

The screenshots above are from some of my favourite areas in the game. The concept of wild area is really cool and it makes the pokemon journey more realistic like the ones we used to see in the anime or how we imagined it. That it would take days to reach a city and u need to set up a camp whenever you need to rest or fill your belly. Also getting chased by strong wild pokemon in the wild area really got my blood pumping lmao

2.) THE SOUNDTRACKS. THE FRIGGIN. MUSIC. I’m such an aficionado for great music whether it’s an album, movie scores, and even games like these. Seriously the gym leader battle theme is an absolute banger (especially the crowds’ chants!!). Like it makes my 12 yo character more fired up to kick a grown up’s ass in front of a packed stadium and live tv.  The last time i was this excited to kick a gym leader’s butt was when i was battling winona years ago bc my dumb ass haven’t quite figured out the concept of type advantages.

^more appreciation for the gym leader battle theme. From all the shits this game has received, i haven’t seen a single complaint about the music so explain this, science side.

3.) I love how in this game some of the NPCs have actual character like our rival hop, leon, piers, marnie and bede too. BUT ESPECIALLY OUR RIVAL HOP. SERIOUSLY HOP IS BEST BOI AND ONLY DESERVES THE BEST 😭😭😭. Hop is (i assume) childhood friend/neighbour who happens to be the little brother of the current champion leon. Now this may seem like a usual pokemon protag - rival trope, being the protag is a nobody who just stepped into the world of pokemon trainer and the rival being someone related to someone important in the region (like how green/blue, barry, and hau was). Being a champion’s little brother is quite a big deal for hop but hop isn’t the snarky arrogant rival like green was. Instead he’s just a happy kid who dreams of surpassing his brother and want to form a healthy rivalry/friendship with you (he’s kinda a mix of barry and hau imo). Throughout your journey, hop helps you with the ropes and just generally be there as a friend...a real good friend.

And just like the previous games, as the story progresses you get to battle hop quite frequently and in order to advance further in the game (and keep those pocket money to buy varsity jackets) you gotta beat him over and over again. The thing is, unlike some other rivals who were like ‘wow ur so strong! k i need to train more bye’ hop actually TALKS TO YOU. Sure he did acknowledge our strength, but after he would talk to you abt other things like the next city/gym leader or even abt his life atm. I really appreciate the developers for making details like this bc through the dialogues you can actually see the depth of the characters and it makes you actually think. Like for example from my battles and dialogues with hop, i can see that he’s quite pressured bc of his background as the champion’s brother and people have high expectations of him, yet he keeps on losing to you (his rival). There is even one point in the game in which hop fell through a downward spiral bc he keeps on losing to you (the protag) and another NPC rival. You can ACTUALLY FEEL the stirring of emotions through the battles with hop and the dialogues bc at one point he even said something like ‘i don’t wanna drag leon’s name through the mud bc i’m too weak’ and i was like NOOOOO WHO HURT YOU 😭😭😭😭 (but then i realized it was partly me oh god i’m so sorry hop). Never in all my experience playing pokemon game that i feel bad about beating a rival, i do hope in future games they would let the rival beat us....well probably during an offscreen battle :p

Also, for the longest time we finally have our champion doing actual champion duties (?) like protecting the region from catastrophe. Like i understand that this is probably where the ‘lack of action’ comes from because let’s face it, team yell isn’t actually a threat to you or the region, and whenever a ‘real threat’ comes up, leon would beat you to take care of it first. Tbh there are moments when i was like ‘damn leon let me in on the fun too!’ but then again i realized there are actual adults in this game with their actual jobs (champion, researchers, gym leaders) who can actually do their job without relying on a 12 yo to do everything for them which is pretty realistic if you think about it

but don’t worry, in the end we’ll get to play a big part in saving the region too :))

4.) THE GYM LEADERS AND GYM BATTLE IN THIS GAME ARE JUST *chef kiss* the developers really put all their effort in this. Although i admit some of the gym challenges are kinda ‘lazy’ like just pummel through these gym trainers before facing the leader (especially on the last gym???really????). But the battles against the leaders are never boring.

WE FINALLY GOT A DARK TYPE GYM LEADER WOOTTT!! Plus he’s that one dude from the pop punk band that we love during our middle school years.

God i wish i had a big brother like piers, not only he’s one of the most challenging gym leader in our journey but he also helps us not just once but twice. At one point he throws an impromptu concert to cause a riot for us to be able to get through a heavily guarded area

Last but not least...man...MY BEST BOI RAIHAN!!! JUST BEST GYM LEADER, DRAGON TAMER (lol sorry lance), A GENIUS, 100% WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT, JUST 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💦💦💦 💕 💕 💕💯💯💯

OH AND GYM BATTLE UTILIZING WEATHER EFFECTS??? that’s some solid strategy there. I’m not a really strategic pokemon trainer, so i usually just pummel through every opponent lmao so when i saw this man controlling dragons and the weather i just 😮

AND THE FRIGGIN SELFIE GAWD 😭😭😭😭 LIKE WHO THOUGHT SNAPPING A SELFIE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SANDSTORM HOLDING A GIANT ASS POKEBALL IS A GOOD IDEA??? BUT THIS MAN SOMEHOW MAKES IT WORK. Also pls give me that camera bc the quality is bomb.

Well this turns out to be longer than i expected but i really just pour out how i feel about this game. It’s true that it’s not perfect and there are some aspects that can be done better, but as a long time fan of pokemon I REALLY ENJOY THIS GAME. I can see that the developers really work hard for this game to be able to cater to both old and new fans, and we all know that it’s impossible to please everyone. And for those of you who begs to differ or have different opinion about this game it’s perfectly fine and i’m not hoping to change anyone’s opinion. But PLEASE STOP HARASSING THE DEVELOPERS AND NEW FANS ESPECIALLY YOUNGER ONES! because we all know people who shames others’ interest are the worst kind of people :))) And if you have the time and money i suggest you give this game a try.  Well that’s all i gotta say, have a good day/night everyone!!

Hitman 2 and 3 theories

OKAY so I’ve been reading about Hitman 2/3 theories and thinking on the ending of the Haven level a lot and decided to make a post about it because analyzing stuff is fun dkfjghdjkfhg

Spoilers for the end of Hitman 2/the Haven level below the cut! (y’all its so much I’m sorry KJLDFHGKJFHG its Hitman Lore And Meta Time)

FIRST lemme just say. Y’all I’m very aware I’m a big Lucas Grey fan dkjgfhkdjhg BUT I did my best to make sure that wasn’t getting into my analyzation too much, I like being as objective/unbiased as possible bc the Hitman storyline is wonderful (and if Lucas is the villain oooo Drama™)

anyway this is gonna be a long ramble so here’s the TL;DR

Big point: I don’t think we can accurately piece together any sort of an answer currently, and IO wants us to doubt everyone and everything for the “hook” into the next game, and they did a lovely job at it! Thank you IO <3

My three running theories with the info we have:

None of the main four are working with the constant, and he is manipulating them all to try and turn them on each other, making them doubt each other to cause dissension among them (see: him telling Diana about the hit on her parents, the concept that he’s making Lucas out to be a traitor) which could result in Lucas’ death (or not)

Lucas is being “held hostage” in a way by the constant-- Edwards has him by some threat or pressure point credible enough to make Lucas work for him

The least likely in my opinion due to evidence and Lucas’ character, but still possible maybe: Lucas made a deal with the constant somehow (when he would’ve found the time, I don’t know) because he’s got it in his head that he and 47 should be the providence leaders-- somewhere along the way he got so obsessed/focused on this all he got his view skewed and genuinely thinks he’s doing a good and helpful thing

So what prompted me was this specific comment on a hitman subreddit theory thread:

So to me, the idea that Lucas has been a traitor from the start doesn’t seem to add up. If you look at everything we've seen from IO about him, it shows that Lucas is on a path of vengeance-- suddenly allowing The Constant off the hook seems like a massive shift in character, especially considering the comic and what we've seen of Lucas and 47 as kids (more on this in a bit)

So the only leap you can make after that to blame Lucas is the second comment on that reddit response, but that seems like such a big cheesy sci-fi stretch to me. If you look at Lucas and 47 knowing they’re clones, you can clearly see the resemblance. They aren’t just brothers, they’re like. They’re near exactly the same in appearance (save for the fact that 47’s in much better shape and like. Bald DFHFDJHG). You could argue that Lucas had his face changed to appear to be a clone, but you have to consider that they both have the hand scars from the pact they made as children, the comic confirms Lucas/6’s existence, Lucas has a lot of Ort-Meyer knowledge others don’t have, and 47 is remembering Lucas

Any leap past that gets wackier, like...

- Maybe 47 has DOUBLE fake memories from his time in the institute and this has been planned from the beginning? Doesn’t seem satisfying nor IO’s style, plus it seems rather out of character for 47.

- Ether antidote somehow gave him fake memories? Also nah, seems just too out there/odd/improbable 

So from here, the only thing that I can personally add up and understand in the vein of Lucas being a traitor is the concept of Lucas maybe having a bent concept of like... morality? I can see him maybe getting a bit too over the edge, too bent and obsessed on Providence and taking them down, and somehow talking himself into thinking he and 47 need to be in control of Providence because they’re the only ones that can make things “right”. From what I’ve seen, he hasn’t exhibited behavior that tells me that in full, but that makes much more sense than him being A Complete Snake™ because if he was a traitor it would defo be in the “he fully thinks he’s doing the right and good thing for 47”

ANYWAY consider this evidence in game:

- Lucas being shown repeatedly to go to great lengths to avoid collateral damage/citizens getting hurt or killed (you can overhear this being talked about on Hawke’s Bay, Columbia (and from Lucas himself in Rico’s office), and I think Colorado, but I’m not sure. I’m sure there’s other locations as well).

- Lucas' genuine concern for Olivia to the point that he gives her her whole own security detail (seen on Colorado, thank u @olliemander for showing me that!!!), as well as the fact that he met her when she was 7 (can somebody say father figure), and she's the only person in the whole militia to have both seen him and know his real name, not even Sean Rose knows his name and those that have seen him have all been killed (Viktor, the Providence member in the cutscene after Sapienza) 

- His seemingly genuine reaction to realizing he killed Diana's parents (seen in the cutscene before Sgáil)

- His seemingly genuine concern over 47's wellbeing after the ether antidote (seen in the cutscene after Whittleton)

- His seemingly genuine reaction to/at the institute (the man is genuinely emotional over it all)

- The Constant's complete bafflement at Lucas' actions-- you can overhear this on Sgáil-- and I suppose you could argue that this is just fake so Edwards and Lucas can play the long con, but that seems unlikely to me

- also this is less of a piece of evidence but still interesting, Lucas’ man on the island that gets him the info on the poison chip and the Washington Sisters comes from a genuine NPC you can listen to, who calls Lucas to give him more info and tell him their debt from their old CICADA days is repaid and to just leave him alone now AKJDLFHGKJDFHG

I mean, yeah, it could all be things to mislead us, but I don’t think so-- his behavior lines up throughout the years of his life that we’ve been shown, and 47 isn’t one to blindly trust people.

This leaves the idea that Lucas has been working with Edwards from the start, but that too seems like a long stretch to me-- Lucas seems to hate what he and 47 had to go through (as seen in the comics and just his behavior we’ve seen), and he carries that weight (like he mentions in the cutscene before Sgáil, and in the Homecoming cutscene). He seems to really struggle with survivor’s guilt over his escape from the institute. Plus Lucas doing a double side switch seems a bit Much™ (but I totally could be wrong akdljfhgkjdgh)

Ultimately tho, here's the thing: I don’t think we can solve this puzzle yet, because IO wants us to wait for Hitman 3. What good is it if we bust it before the game comes out?

They did this with the end of the Sgáil mission-- it was a big ominous cliffhanger but then we just sorta scooted along (so they could keep building the story, it was well done IMO)

My most likely theory at the moment is the idea that Edwards is trying to turn 47, Lucas, Diana, and Olivia on each other because he realizes they’re a threat. Bc If I’m real, I currently don't think any of the core group are working with The Constant, which is terrifying, because it means the constant is way more powerful than we thought and way less helpless than we thought he was in his current position. (So that means the text/phone call/whatever Lucas got in the end cutscene was from Edwards posing as someone else like Olivia). Plus, if Diana gets into contact with 47, she’s going to tell him Edwards is gone. If for some reason 47 can’t contact her, he’s going to be suspicious and on high alert.

Edwards is a scheming, smart dude and I don’t doubt him being able to do that at all. He knows Diana and 47 are close and trust each other (“in his own special way, he cares about you”) and felt the need to mention to her that 47 and Lucas were behind her parents’ deaths-- that’s not just bonus information, he did it for a reason. This also puts his line of “Do you really want to do this to me?” to the Partners in reference to being under scrutiny and needing the poison chip under a SUPER terrifying and ominous light. What sort of power does this man wield?

I would personally love to see Lucas survive these games AKJHSFJGH but I can see the story leading to 47 have to make a call to shoot Lucas (thinking he’s a traitor), playing hard against the emotions of it all, especially with the reveal that this was all a set up by The Constant, making 47 go after him with a vengeance. (also not to be angsty™ but can you imagine Lucas and 47 talking after 47’s shot him? Oof ouchy my heart) 

Another possibility I can see is like my friend Synth suggested-- Lucas wanting to go in violently and take it all out on The Constant, while 47 holds him back for tactics sake 

In terms of Lucas and Edwards working together, sans them planning it from the start, there really would’ve been no time for Lucas to talk to The Constant between his capture and the departure for the bank. I also can’t currently make sense of many reasons why Lucas would side with him and not tell 47 or Olivia

My final idea that plays into the idea of Lucas as a traitor is the idea that, somehow, The Constant is holding Lucas hostage in a way? That if by chance they got to speak to each other, The Constant lorded some threat over Lucas that was serious enough to him to agree to help him (like a threat against 47 or Olivia, etc). I’m not sure though, but the idea is interesting to me :Oc

★ - im going to start with my girl Camelia, my first NPC i ever truly fell in love with ! I dont talk about her nearly as much as i should on here, maybe outta guilt because we havent been able to play the Last session of Fours a Crowd , BUT shes forever one of the most fleshed out npc’s ive ever made. She’s the personification of Time’s love, which is about as sweet as it sounds. She’s always willing to forgive & forget, allowing time to heal all wounds inflicted upon  herself, to let go. I was in a pretty rough spot when i was making up her backstory, n i let me let go of some of the angers i had back then, so she’s super important to me ! ever since i made her in Fours a Crowd, ive always made it a point to have at least one selfless, filled with love npc.

★ -NINNY from good old Pandoras Box !! i have a lot of feelings about her ?? shes a sweetheart !Funfact about Ninny, she’s an assistant to a big boss of the company, & is always SO tired. she deserves a break, really. She tries what she can to help the party, but sometimes it comes off thats shes too busy for them, but she’s trying her best ! she’s so busy ! she’s techincally a triton, but i played around with the race a little bit for flavour text reasons & story reasons ! 

she also always wears goggles to hide the fact her eyes are SUPER baggy. sustains off coffee

★ - COULDNT do one of these without talking about my gal Angel . the sweetie. 

I just. she’s been split into three parts, The Heart, The Soul, & The Mind !! all three of them representing a different part of her, & also alternatively the world ? from a narrators POV ? which im SO proud of personally, even if the players dont think about it much . like. The Mind, relying off of memories & what you’ve experienced + logic for where you are, but you’re forever lacking the color of the world. But you question what you’re given, question the nature of the world !The Soul, the conjoining of the heart & mind, a healthy hold of both views, but not able to fully see both sides. Someone who acts as a grey zone, almost !& lastly the Heart, which sees the color of the world, & the naive nature of following whatever’s brought to you. Never questioning what you’ve been told, what you’ve been presented. Falling in love with the world ! Falling in love with the people, bright colors, vibrant emotions !!!

i just like The IT yknow. 

★ - In POE ( proof of existence ) there’s this dude called Ash who i fuckign adore so much but hes a bit of a fuckboy. He’s a werewolf & kinda sexy is the thing. I love him SOSOOS much. He’s got a super tragic backstory, which involves a lot of angst & hate against him but  ....  he never blames who did it against him, because it was in their nature, he can’t blame them ! he won’t ! he let go of his anger, & chose the higher road & i love him so much for it.

★ - AWAY FROM DND I’m thinking about my OC now, Star. One of my first precious oc’s ! Attached at the hip with his best friend Z, who he’s pining for, he only wants to be a hero for those in need. He grew up in poverty with a 13 other siblings, with him being the oldest. He wants to give poor people hope, a reason to live, something to stride for. He goes through so many character arcs ... I love him so much dude. Like !! He loves his best friend dearly, but she comes from a royal background, & theres a big moment where in their past he pointed out everything wrong with the royals, with the rich. How they let people suffer eventhough they’re doing ‘good’ . that while the castle stands, its a sign of the poor people being put in a place they don’t belong. 

i love him so MUCH. he also refuses to accept fate the way it is, when eventually Z has to face her fate, & does everything he CAN to change it, he’s willing to go against his OWN happy ending if it means Z can have an inkling of a happier ending.
