What if the Matrix of Leadership allowed Tfp Optimus Prime and the dark energon allowed Megatron to see Starscream's restless spirit, how will they react seeing him messing with and scaring the bots and cons?

Optimus would first see Ghostscream on the battlefield following Breakdown around.

He’s very confused, he saw Starscream’s demise himself. And now Optimus is staring at the ‘empty’ space beside Breakdown, and now he’s confused too.

He is glad that Starscream can still run around without giving the autobots trouble, Optimus thinks it’s sweet that he’s following the bots he cared for (and still cares for).

Optimus would never ever admit this to anyone, but he’s the slightest bit jealous. He wishes that Cliffjumper would follow Arcee around, he wishes he could tell her with certainty that Cliff is doing alright in his afterlife.

Megatron is furious when he comes into his berthroom expecting everything to be in it’s place, and instead there are pieces of confetti on his floor. And a transparent Starscream running around his room.

Then, Starscream notices him staring through… no, at him.

Starscream begins to laugh at Megatron, realizing that the big bad bot couldn’t lay a digit on him even if he wanted to.

The seeker eventually gets bored of tormenting Megatron, he heads to the medbay to tell Knockout all about it via the spirit board made from spare scrap.

Soundwave also knows that Starscream’s a ghost because of the heat and energy sensing cameras on the ship. They think Megatron’s run-in with Ghostscream (they know about it because of Megatron’s ranting) is hilarious, but that’s a secret they won’t ever tell.

So I just had one very messy idea.

Everyone is talking about Megatron and Optimus being exes BUT, what if Optimus dated Starscream and they had the most messiest breakup in whole galaxy. Just imagine quiet, introverted Optimus and loud extroverted Starscream secretly dating together and then breaking up and still being salty about it. It would be a surprise for everyone that Prime had one painful spot, more painful than Megatron and Starscream having more hatred for someone other than Megatron. I can definitely imagine them in the fight acting like an old couple that had messy divorce throwing the most berating insults across battlefield and others being too stund to react because no one knew they acted like this, especially Megatron who thought he knew them both. Just imagine:

In the battlefield Optimus is shooting at Starscream and both of them yelling.

Optimus: STILL HIDING BEHIND OTHERS YOU WASTE OF METAL!

Starscream: STILL STAYING AWAY LIKE AN AFRAID BITCH!

Optimus: AT LEAST I'M NOT FLYING VOSSIAN SLUT!

Starscream: AT LEAST IM NOT PEOPLE PLEASING IACON WHORE!

Ratchet: Wow, never seen Optimus lose his temper.

Knockout: My Lord how messy was that relationship?

A friend of mine got me into this ship a bit ago and I think the opposites attract aspect of it is pretty nifty. Good and bad, soft and sharp, selfless and selfish.

Okay, so I can’t remember who it was but someone made a post saying how “By cybertronian standers, (animated)Starscream is pretty attractive….. how would people react to him dating (animated) Optimus Prime, a space bridge fixer….” Or smth along the lines of that, and if you think about it,,, that works with every adaptation of Starscream x whatever character you ship him with. Starscream is literally super model material and he’s shipped with the BIGGEST losers

Ex:

Starjack (Scientist x Super model )

Starfire (Scientist x Super model pt.2)

Animated StarOp (random space bridge fixer that becomes famous x Super model)

And then you have Steve the vechicon x Starscream which is pretty self explanatory

The only exception is like Starwave (both Soundwave and Shockwave) because those two are pretty badass as well

TFP Starop where, after his last reformat, Optimus is just Too Large? Starscream is doing his best to get dick but like, that size difference

They’ve tried everything. Synthetic lubricant, shoving and pushing, but nothing to show for their efforts. Still, Optimus was really persistent about him spiking Starscream. The farthest they’d gotten was just past the tip.

“Optimus.” Starscream urgently tries to get the Prime’s attention, the last thing he wanted to do this solar cycle was to be split in half by his lover. It’s too much. “Ouch! Optimus!” That gets his attention. Optimus pulls out of the seeker.

“Sorry…” He looks so guilty, Optimus just wants to please his seeker. Optimus halfway lays down on Starscream, shoving his faceplates into Starscream’s chassis. “Still hurt?” Poor Optimus, he’d cry if he hurt someone close to him.

“No, it’s ok Oppy.” Starscream places one of his servo on the prime’s helm.

“Do you still want me to… ?” He looks back up at Starscream, Optimus’ servo runs along the seeker’s frame, stopping at his waistline.

“Of course.”

since i finished tfp, and au where ratchet ends up joining megatron and really really becoming deception, and it breaks optimus. meanwhile, starscream feels a mixture of jealousy and anger toward the mere idea that an autobot is at a higher position than him and of course, megatron rubs that in his face.

when cybertron is restored, the autobots are made criminals and are hunted down. in a strange turn of events however, starscream defects from the autobots and joins optimus. at first it's out of survival but then he really, starts to care for optimus.

optimus is broken, he's sad, he's defeated. he's gone through torture and depression, and he has no will to fight anymore, starscream gives him that will and the two eventually work together. the autobots don't win but they form a treaty. they have their own lands and live away. starscream follows optimus of course, and optimus is old, tired and just stationary but he is happy and starscream takes care of him.

ratchet is happy with his life but he also feels guilty. he didn't just join megatron to spite optimus; he did it because he wanted Cybertron to change and it did. his one condition when working with megatron is that the autobots are able to live, regardless of what megatron wants. reluctantly, megatron agrees which is why he frees optimus and the others. ratchet wants to go back to see them but he knows he's not welcomed. and he, despite absolutely hating megatron at first, realizes and accepts that they're alike in so many ways. and at the end of it, megatron gets to be ruler of Cybertron, and ratchet gets to help with that.
