A inteligência artificial e carros autônomos ganham espaço.

March-April 2024 (probably more than 15 hours) Service, organising TEDxYouth at 2slo
During March and April, I volunteered as the Head of Content Edition for a TEDx Youth event at my school. My main responsibility was reviewing and advising speakers on their speeches to ensure they met TEDx standards, flowed well, and were engaging and meaningful. I worked closely with each speaker, providing feedback on structure, clarity, timing, and tone. I also helped them rehearse, refine their message, and boost their confidence for the final presentation. My goals for this activity were to support speakers in sharing their ideas effectively, to improve my editorial and communication skills, and to contribute meaningfully to the success of the event. I also wanted to learn more about how storytelling and public speaking can inspire others and create impact.
This experience helped me fulfill several CAS learning outcomes: I undertook challenges and developed new skills (LO2), especially when it came to giving constructive feedback and balancing clarity with authenticity in the speeches. Each speaker had a unique style, so I had to adapt my editing and communication approach to fit their voice while still guiding them toward a clear, impactful message. Additionally, I demonstrated collaborative skills (LO5). I had to work closely with the speakers as well as the wider TEDx team to ensure the speeches aligned with the event’s overall vision. This required patience, active listening, and clear, respectful communication.
Overall, this was an incredibly rewarding experience. It was inspiring to help shape ideas into speeches that could move and motivate others. I learned a lot about storytelling, mentorship, and the power of words, and it was amazing to see the confidence and growth in each speaker by the end of the process.

Our CreativeMornings Global Theme for January 2025: JOURNEY
Tumblr media
Our theme for January is JOURNEY. It was chosen by our Muscat chapter in Oman and illustrated by Salim Al Salami.
As we travel through life, everyone you meet is at a different point in their own unique journey. Some of us know where we’re going. While other paths are full of twists, turns, and obstacles thrown in our way. The trick is to embrace the detours and delays. Because there are no shortcuts on a journey of self-discovery or creative expression.
Just please remember: you are not traveling alone.
And we love that our global partner, Adobe, is on this journey with us. Thanks, Adobe!

Our CreativeMornings theme for December is CYCLE. It was chosen by our Freiburg chapter in Germany and illustrated by Isabell Meister.
Our world runs on cycles. There’s the frantic buzz of the 24-hour news cycle. The boom and bust of economic cycles. The changing seasons. Every plant, animal, and organism exists in a life cycle of birth, growth, reproduction, and death. Water flows through a cycle of evaporation into vapor to condensation in clouds to precipitation that falls as rain or snow. The menstrual cycle. The circadian rhythm of our sleep cycle.
Cycles are circular and keep things moving. Which cycles are you living in tune with? And which ones are you fighting vainly against?

Here are 2 conclusions:
conclusion 1: it is fucked up how Biden just doesn't expand the court and may even provide ideological support for its extremism
conclusion 2: either Biden or Trump will appoint the next 2 seats and voters have some influence.
Notice how these 2 conclusions don't contradict each other.
In fact, my experience reading this thread was Agreement, followed by Agreement, followed by Agreement, followed by Anger and Disagrement which vanished and turned to Agreement upon reflecting a bit more.
To understand why, I'll have to point out again that conclusion 1 is valid. I no longer trust Biden. I fail to see where the Democrats (with Biden at the top) are still Leftist in a way that is permanent, trustworthy, reliable.
I could write a big post here about how pro-Biden voices on my dashboard seem to think they're arguing with revolutionaries. Or how they make themselves look calculating utilitarians whose calculations seem really biased. Or that I am aware of good Biden policy, but don't trust it will outlast his run as president. He already treats Roe as a re-election promise, not a current project, so possibly all the nice things he does will be taken away once he doesn't need us or our (American friends') votes anymore.
But prev is talking about the impact of the vote.
If we consider conclusion 1 & conclusion 2 in the context of voting:
conclusion 1 offers no reason to vote for Trump. That guy built this Supreme Court.
conclusion 2 is a pretty good reason to vote for Biden -- we have seen the court nominees of Trump act on their own and we haven't seen Biden nominees be puppets to Biden. We also haven't seen Biden nominees be bad picks, either. They didn't vote to overturn Roe vs. Wade, for example.
That really is my conclusion.
I hate that "Biden skeptics" are being accused of being psyops or vastly uninformed. Like wow, are we trying to insult the people we want to convince? The important takeaway though is that those users were not discussing the voting process itself but the conversation can lead to people's votes being influenced in a bad way. 2024 is a long year. By November, a lot can happen. It's totally possible that I will have changed my mind at least once by then. But crucially Biden is a better pick than above-the-law Trump right now.
If you want to vote, you should vote based on likely outcomes. Those first 2 users in this thread? What will matter in the election is not what they were discussing, but the outcomes. Supreme Court picks a la Trump have been shit. We are going to get way more where that came from if we listen to those first 2 users. Cause they're not uninformed and they don't need to be psyops either. They're just going to get it wrong. Very wrong. If they keep going.
Thanks for coming to my TEDx talk.

It is kind of awesome how the Supreme court is like just filled corrupt hyper fascist wizards gleefully doing the most in destroying the country for their nazi billionare patron and overtly trying to install a dictatorship and when that’s pointed out to Joe Biden he’s like “Well the institution is good actually? Why would I expand the court or do something when you need to vote for me? it’s not like i’m president.”
