You can always count on me to reject a headcanon of a disabled and/or neurodivergent character being asexual without any elaboration. Exponentially so when a creator decides to label a disabled character as ace after the series has ended, absolutely zero hints in the media occurred, is very clearly in response to the popularity of a queer ship, and in announcing this new aspect of the character also announces they know nothing about asexuality and are picking this identity as a convoluted way to say the character can’t be in a relationship.

Seeing people (granted, a minority) genuinely try to argue that Jayce and Viktor are just friends or 'brothers' is insane to me, and better yet, use Mel/Sky as an excuse as to why they can't be queer or have feelings for one another. It's not to say they didn't hold affection or love for their female LI's, because I have no doubt Jayce did in fact cherish Mel.

However, in a show/society like Arcane that doesn't put constraints on queerness or relationships - whose to say they couldn't be genuine soulmates and create space for their other lovers? Why are we trying to fit Jayce and Viktor's affection for one another into a box, when the quiet and unspoken nature of it all is more romantic than any overt confession?

Jayce can love Mel, but he can also unapologetically want to freak it with his lab partner. Hooray bisexuals!!!
