"A-Anzu..." His words come out as a stammer, his cheeks turning the same shade of pink as the strawberry component of the ice cream flavor she just spoke of. It wasn't uncommon for her to say sweet and sentimental things like this, but something about felt...different.

Regardless of her intentions, his face shifts from one of shock to a smile. The blush on his cheeks still remains. In fact, it gets slightly more pink as he does what he does next. He gently places his hand ontop her own, his eyes meeting hers as he responds to her words with ones of his own, straight from his heart.

"If anyone's any flavor of wonderful around here, it's you, Anzu. You've always have amazed me, ever since we met. You were...my first real friend, after all. And I'm..." Bloody hands

It's an early winter morning. A different one than a handful of years back. No freezing toes or fingers. No blue lips. Clattering teeth. A growling belly. A fireplace is roaring happily and the room is nice and toasty. A warm blanket is draped over your frame but the main source of heat is the body that you’re lazily snuggled against.

It takes you another handful of breaths to take in your surroundings. Ones that even after a couple of years still felt like a joke of imagination. Surreal. Like a dream. One before you die maybe… “Good morning, my darling”, a husky voice pierced through your mind. Making you turn slightly. And here he was. A soft smile broke on your face because there wasn’t a moment now that you weren’t grinning from ear to ear when you looked at Kaz. “Morning”, you muttered softly, turning to snuggle back against his chest. Kaz didn’t flinch. Haven’t been flinching for some time now. At least not when you touched him. Others still ticked him off at times and he was still firmly against any touching with his team and friends. But your touch had always been different to him. “It has healing powers”, Kaz had muttered on one of the first nights when you two had started working on his touch aversion. It had been a long process. One that required a lot of patience. But the result had been worth all the sweat and tears.

“How did you sleep?”, Kaz slowly moved his fingers through your hair, reaching to wrap his arm around you, pulling you even more tightly against his chest. “I always sleep well with you in my bed”, you muttered, palm resting over his heart and the neatly tattooed initials of your name there. “Touché. And to think that you go claiming that you’re an independent woman…”, you didn’t have to see Kaz’s face to know that he was smirking. “You, sir, think too highly of the company you provide”, you jabbed a finger against his ribs playfully making Kaz let out a barely audible chuckle. “You flatter me one moment and stab me the other”, the fake wounded tone that he carries made you let out a breath laugh yourself, as you scooted up on his chest, bracing your hands on either side of him before narrowing your eyes at the now man laying beneath you. Kaz stilled for a moment his hand coming up to cup your cheek before he used your delightful hum as a distraction to flip you both over. Both panting with breathy chuckles.

“Dreamt of you today”, he murmured, making you still. “What do you mean?”, you frowned slightly. Kaz had never been a dreamer. Through the years of you two being together, he only had nightmares or dreamless sleep. “Do you remember the first job we did together, miss black leather boots?”, Kaz teased, brushing his nose against your cheek before leaving a couple of kisses along your shoulder. “You never called me miss back then if I remember correctly you called me a bitch the first time we met”, you shrugged, “And you loved the boots so don’t give me shit for it mr. Black gloves”, you bopped his nose, making Kaz roll his eyes.

“You blew up my warehouse with your makeshift bombs, sorry my words of endearment were harsh”, he hummed right as your hands reached to comb through his way longer black hair. “See, the way I remember it. That building was in my way so the only logical solution was to move it”, you pointed out innocently. “I always liked this unbothered wild side of you”, Kaz admitted after a moment of silence, “No fucks to give, no fear for tomorrow”.

Even if by now you two knew more than well that there had been nothing but fear. Yes, you had made a name for yourself and yes your and Kaz’s paths crossed by accident but it felt as if your two were meant to find one another. Both were utterly beaten by the world but so in need of a company that understood without words what the other felt.

“And here I was thinking that you loved watching me pulling knuckles out of the two bastards the most”, there was humor there but by now Kaz knew that it was simply your cover-up for pain. “I didn’t love it but I was glad to give you closure”, he admitted leaning in to kiss your temple. The way you had helped Kaz to pay an overdue visit to Pekka. Kaz had found the man responsible for your family's murder. Turning a blind eye to the ways you dealt with them.

“Why do you even love me?”, your quiet words jab at Kaz like the sharpest of knives. “How can you even ask that, darling?”, he shakes his head in disbelief. He hadn’t believed in love before he met you. “You know I hate sappy but I read poetry to you, you wear my clothes and get to kiss me whenever you want”, you rolled your eyes at his statements, “Not to mention that I would slaughter a whole town without a second thought if that would lead me back to you”. You crooked your head to the side, watching him, “I like you with your hands bloody, Kaz Brekker”, you smiled up at him. “I’d gladly get them bloody for you Y/N Brekker”, reaching up Kaz carefully took a hold of your hand kissing the sparkling stone on your ring finger.

What are skywarp and thundercraker's pronouns? What is their relationship with starscream? I don't remember you mentioning them

I'm still working on both of them a bit. So, it's a little rough.

Skywarp and Thundercracker are currently she/her.

Skywarp and Starscream have known each other since Starscream went by the name Ulchtar, and both ran schemes and grew up in the lower levels in Vos below the Towers. They are ride-or-die, and Skywarp has been following Starscream since she found her. Skywarp is actually the older one and, oddly enough, sometimes the more responsible one. Starscream is the dreamer, though, and she's the one who risked it all to get them out of Vos and to the city so Starscream could get her degree.

They lived together in Iacon in a shitty apartment and worked any job they could find to put Starscream through school until she got a grant with Autoclave's, who sponsored her, support. Skywarp got a bit distance as she saw Starscream working and fighting her way up, noticing how people eyed them together and when Skywarp spoke. She realized that Starscream was being judged for their connection and convinced Starscream to go to the dorms so Skywarp could find her own place. She kept worling odd jobs, usually shady ones, and would randomly appear with money to support Starscream after jobs.

Starscream was oblivious, at first, to this but fiercely protective if anyone said anything because that was her idiot and no one else could say anything about Skywarp. They still remained close, and once Starscream realized what Skywarp was doing attempting to separate they had a knockdown dragout fight about it and she dragged her "home" telling her roommate, Skyfire, that "her idiot" was spending the night. He covered for them and Skywarp stopped trying.

They remained close, and Skywarp was an occasional third roommate to SkyStar when they got their own place, and their final home had a room for her. She definitely cried a little.

Skywarp got involved with some dangerous business, though, and had to skip town and headed back to Vos but not before telling SkyStar. There was some intense hugging.

Both Skywarp and Starscream are aware of the others Outlier abilities.

Skywarp was arrested in Vos and able to get out of it by a.) Ratting everyone else out and b.) Joining the military instead. She actually found a relatively good setup there even if her commander hated her i subordination.

She kept in contact with Starscream the entire time and met Thundercracker during this time. Thundercracker was a noble. The very "disappointing" Mentee to the Winglord's Trinemate. SHe was forced into the military, and Skywarp found her easily bullyable and soft hearted and dragged her into her bed as a potential Trinemate.

She wasn't able to introduce Thundercracker to Starscream until after Starscream was famed for Skyfire's murder and similarly was taken into Vos’s Military to acquire diplomatic immunity.

They three of them got along like a house on fire and formed a Trine. When Starscream announced she was going to overthrow the Winglord, Skywarp instantly agreed and Thundercracker began making a list of people to try courting to their side.

They have been inseparable the entire time and remain so balancing each other out well.

TC is a little underdeveloped as her main plotline I have down isn't until the Unicron Arc, and she adopts a small human girl and allies with some Autobots temporarily.

9. worst part of canon

-The cut dreamer dialogues and the fact that Lurien apparently had way more lore that eventually got scrapped because they didn't want to give too much away to the player. That's all very well and good, but it hardly means SHIT when there's nothing to go off in the first place! That's one of the few things I'd call a blunder on TC's part

10. worst part of fanon

-I've already said it, but anyone engaging with the source material that lack critical thinking skills or the inability to handle morally grey characters. No, the fact that the Pale King loved the Hollow Knight and hated himself for it does not absolve him of the fact that he made their life a living hell. No, claiming that the moths are a metaphor for an indigenous tribe and that the Pale King wiped them all out when he conquered Hallownest isn't progressive, it's stereotyping and paints a pretty negative picture of their god and way of life pre-Pale King (as well as also just being outright incorrect). Use your critical thinking skills please, I beg of you

18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...

-DREAMER FRIENDSHIPSSSS but also potential aus where the Radiance and the Pale King aren't both gods of light and in opposition because of it. An au where they can both live alongside of each other but just fucking despise their neighbor on the account of them being polar opposites of the other is a deeply funny concept that I'd love to see at play sometime

(And as it turned out, Top Cat brought along his clowder to help in the selection of the delicatessen.)

"And if I may say so, Snag old buddy ... yours truly thought it worthwhile to get a few deli meats and cheeses out of the way--not to mention some bread--for some of the run up to the Convocation."

"In Clear Lake, I take it," Huckleberry Hound chimed it.

"Where else?" was all TC could rejoinder. "Not to mention maybe having a modest little welcome center for the early coners to the July 4th weekend."

"Understood to be especially popular," a clerk at the deli section was quick to note. To which I added, "And it will interest you to know where a number of characters of the Hanna-Barberian persuasion will be over for Clear Lake's July 4th festivities!"

"Hopefully," Huckleberry Hound added, "you and your friends will be able to join your past Saturday-morning favourites over the holiday weekend."

"At any rate," TC remarked to the deli person, "what we have in mind are a few basic deli meats for such among our characters as will likely be arriving early. Maybe some sort of slap-up sandwiches."

"You know Scooby-Doo?" asked another worker at the deli.

"After all," Benny the Ball, TC's trusted leftennant, "we of the Hanna-Barbera Funtastic persuasion KNOW Scooby-Doo!"

To which Choo-Choo rejoindered, "And pretty much everybody else."

Brain, ever the clueless and confused one, took note of the deli selection including "double-smoked ham," prompting a request for a sample to just get an idea of what double-smoked ham tasted like.

"You think maybe our guests will go for double smoked ham, TC?" was Brain's query in response to his tasting.

"Now THAT, boys, will certainly be a novelty!" was how TC responded. "And maybe some more conventional deli ham!"

"Maybe some roast beef as well!" was how Fancy-Fancy added to the discussuion, oh so arrogant and everything.

"And, uh, like, pastrami?", to hear Spook enquire.

"Good choices, there, Fancy-Fancy and Spook, as if a couple of ham varieties weren't good enough," quoth TC. "Though it might not be a bad idea to maybe add some turkey breast of the smoked sort!"

Huck chimed in in agreement, adding where he and I might go looking for worthwhile and apropos bread and rolls. I myself suggested a rather hearty multi-grain loaf and Huck recommended a peasant loaf-type bread. We purchased both. TC couldn't have welcomed the choice more, adding that the peasant loaf had a sort of basic charm to it.

"Oh, to imagine a roast beef and ham sandwich done up in some multi-grain loaf," rhapsodised Choo-Choo.

Getting things finally squared away, Huck and I explained that our early arrival was to get some of the early-stage planning for the Convocation out of the way just before the actual weekend got started ... "but we wouldn't mind some sandwiches as well," added Huck.

"Feel free to join my clowder, boys," TC remarked.
