SUGAR BABY AU THREADFIC - PART III
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(You can read the rest of the threadfic update here!)
Keep in mind, all of my AU Butchlander threadfics on Twitter are the unpolished first draft versions of what'll eventually be polished up into long fics on AO3 under the Shock and Awe series. So you may regard this threadfic as an experimental first prototype and exclusive preview whose contents may or may not be changed in the future final draft version. We’re just loosely playing around with ideas and concepts for now!
If you don't have a Twitter account, screenshots are provided below the line break so you can read this update on Tumblr as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TBC
(A/N) - Notice how the Evian bottled water mentioned earlier finally serves its purpose here? And peep at the mention of Billy's bare wrist—when it'd been mentioned he'd been wearing a Rolex watch prior when he'd entered Homelander's penthouse. :) The watch will come into play later; a classic underhanded CIA tactic to orchestrate a second meeting with the target.
Cut Content: Mirrorlander almost made an appearance in this update, where HL would see his own reflection approaching Billy's reflection in his mirrored bedroom...and being all handsy and just, in general, kinda creepy about it, haha. Reason why it was cut: pacing. It's also very similar to what'll show up in Truce ch4 and I didn't want to essentially rehash the same desperate obsession and tense introspection here, especially this early into this threadfic.
(The spicy 🔞 Part II 🔞 can be read here!)
If you are following along on Twitter, do let me know if you can't see the thread. 🙏 This is an ongoing experiment to see if continuing writing 🔞 threadfics is still feasible without getting sh@dowb@nned again.

🚨My Official Expansion Rankings🚨
Stone Cold Locks of the Century...of the Week:
And by that I really just like these because they are relevant to my writing interests.
I'd be interested on seeing everyone else's expansion rankings (after your done throwing bricks)
Vanilla/Classic - Questing is fulfilling and the world is never richer than it is in this expansion. The classes feel flexible even if they have severe restrictions. It has flaws (the pvp ranking grind), but I think the positives outweigh the negatives. Also, has Naxxramas which is the best raid of all time
MOP - In my opinion the best ‘story’ driven expansion. Pandaria is awesome and well realized and has one of my favorite raids, the Throne of Thunder.
Cata- Probably the most controversial placement. But Cata is interesting to me because it signifies a change in the status quo for the world. Has some really interesting questing zones with Stonetalon and Hillsbrad. I think all of the ‘Lordaeron’ zones were fairly strong, including the worgen starting zone. I also love Uldum, I think all the Harrison Jones stuff is very fun. Does have issues, I think it marks the beginning of the ‘casualification’ of the game for good or for ill. I only seriously raided during the Dragon Soul, and never really did Firelands but I know it is a popular raid.
Wrath - Save your bricks for later. Wrath is nice. I dislike the nexus war plot and I hate that we kill Malygos. Has Ulduar and overall a great expansion soundtrack. I would consider this the first 'story' driven expansion, however the way it is implemented is weak. I feel like you really only get the impression that you are at total war with the Scourge for the introductory quests in Borean Tundra and when you are questing in Zul'Drak. I'm excluding Icecrown because it sucks except for the two quest lines that don't suck (more on those later). No one quests in Icecrown since its end game content and most of that is spent doing dailies and getting stuff for raid night. Trust me, I'm a loremaster. Anyway. If we are fighting the lich king everything should work towards that goal and it doesn't always feel that way. Ulduar is *kind of* a non sequitur. The Tournament is goofy and bad even if for some reason I like doing all of those dailies. The Nexus war is a blink and you miss it thing even though its KIND OF a huge deal.
-----------
Honorable Mention
Warlords - Really? Well, this one is more of a conceptual Like. I did not play much WoD at all & I saw it as a cynical cash grab that they coincided with the movie’s release. Also, the premise is contrived and stupid. But, I really liked the lore about the ordering of Draenor and the struggle between the titan creatures and the botanie. I also think it is interesting that they have a whole other ‘element’ (spirit) on Draenor that they do not have on Azeroth. So there are some ideas that I like to incorporate into the background of my AU.
----------------------
Stuff I don’t care about for whatever reason
BFA - Home Tree Burning? Interesting. Loyalist/Rebel? Also interesting. Class Warfare- gettin' spicy. Drustvar having 16th century witch trials but also accepting aid from my worgen death knight?  ......no. Blizzard also has no idea what to do with Jaina post MoP. Would have been more interesting if they focused more on the Azeroth part of Battle for Azeroth and treated it like a new Cata. But no. They didn't do that.
TBC - I’ve quested through here a million times. I played it back in the day and it was okay. But after no lifeing Classic and going to TBC it just has a brutal grind. Feels like it has very little lore that ties into later events. I do like the Kirin Var quests and Sabellian's quests, they are actually some of my favorites in the game. But, overall a boring expac. Hate all the raids except Kara (and I don’t even like that one that much) which should have been a raid in vanilla. I will say it has some very satisfying questing loops, so if you like efficiency it is not that bad.
Legion - You may now throw bricks at me. I think I just hate fun. Which whatever. I don’t like the artifacts. I hate that the whole thing was able to start because of Draenor. I think its really funny that the high mountain Tauren and the Shal'dori join the Horde and then the Horde turn around and burn down home tree.
Dragonflight / Slands - The amount of bending over backwards, lore wise, is crazy. Sorry to all my mutual who exclusively write SL fics. And then on Dragonflight- the time of the dragon ended.

welcome to a step into the past!
this is @riverripplespeaks ‘s official fnaf x tbc au blog! this intro post wont be much but ill explain a bit about my au:
a step into the past is my fnaf x the broken code and by extension a starless clan warriors au. the names of all the wc characters who are.. uh.. “merged” with a fnaf character are changed.
this au started after the fnaf movie, with bristlefrost, rootspring, and shadowsight as the protaganists. this blog will be answering questions abt asitp, designs, and explaining things in general.
DNI:
classic dni criteria, proshippers, anti-antis, zoos, racist, homo/transphobic
uh. people who dont like vanessa or bristlefrost. nothing against those people, but this blog might have a lot of them considering bristlebunny (ness + bristle) is kinda the main character + vanessa is my all time favorite so yeah i might talk abt them.
hope you have a great time here!

To: Inquisitor Daygrave-Sunblaze
From: Knight Initiate Brightborn
Re: Potential slavery within Quel’thalas
Inquisitor,
I apologize for writing to you unprompted but recent events have brought an old memory to the forefront and I worry that the circumstances I recall may be ongoing. I have heard that Inquisitors are capable of extracting information from even the most clouded or unwilling mind. I hope that time and distance don’t over complicate matters, though I trust that you or one of your colleagues must still be able to find something.
Fifteen years ago, my father brought me to some sort of underground arena. Enslaved people- I recall elves, trolls, and humans, mainly- were pitted against one another while crowds wagered upon their survival. I was a child at the time and mistook these events for legitimate arena matches. I don’t know where these elves were taken from or who claimed to own them, but I was present nearby on several occasions while my father conducted business there, so I hope that some clue might still be buried. I surely heard a name or location that failed to register.
My father played the role of ‘healer’ at these events. He would wait until the final match was concluded before tending to any injuries. I’ve no doubt that several persons died without timely care. The enslaved elves, for he permitted trolls and humans to bleed out more often than not, were bound such that they could not even lift their heads. Most were gagged. None were given anesthetic before or after treatment. At three, he had me debriding wounds. In the following two years I was frequently commanded to suture and perform minor surgery upon fully aware patients who only found relief if they managed to pass out. I would not realize that anesthesia of any kind existed until some years later..
I am ready and willing to give testimony and will consent to any manner of inspection that you deem necessary. I know that it happened before the Fall and that Quel’thalas has far greater concerns. I understand that every survivor is precious now, regardless of their past crimes. I still hope that something can be done if only to ensure that these activities have ceased. Please contact me as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Luthraes Brightborn

😾 😼 🌟 🐯 🐯 The floor is yours
😾 unpopular opinions?: TNP is the worst arc followed by DOTC; TBC fell off so hard and ASC will probably milk the imposter conflict like crazy; PO3 and OOTS are bad but they have a lot of good elements that make them fun to base aus and rewrites around
🌟 favorite death?: i have a few...tigerstar's first death is a classic. bluestar's, and even though i disliked the context bristlefrost's actually evoked an emotional reaction in me
😼problematic fav?: spiderleg. i really dont think he's as bad as the other neglectful fathers in the series (like stormtail) and unlike them he actually has some development in the background. his and daisy's relationship felt like just a hookup that led to kids, and considering these cats dont have birth control its unfortunate. i dont mean this in a "uwu poor innocent baby" because he was still a trash dad + he' takes after dustpelt with his xenophobia. also hes experiences a lot of familial death in his life (shrewpaw, larchkit & hollykit). i think he's pretty interesting and i even have a video ive been working on for a few years now about his relationship with grief and his family.

"Simon is sitting on my fucking lap like it’s a completely normal thing to do, and I’m expected to not spontaneously combust over it because I’m supposed to pass as his steady boyfriend – and based on Fiona’s smirk, I’m doing a shit job." [ Do you want me (dead)? - fake dating normal AU ]

A BUNCH OF LOUS Some demonic force possessed me to try and make a guide to all 700 of my AU Lous.  My brain is too busted to let me pay attention to my other ocs so I guess all 3% of my creative energy capacity goes toward iterating on this one. And guess what, I cherish them ALL Short bios/AU explanation under the cut (oops it’s long)
ORIGINAL FLAVOR BLADES LOU: Lou as initially designed, though some aspects of their backstory and personality changed as I got to know them through roleplay. Halfway through the story they took a kinda edgy turn and got deeper into cult stuff and afflicted with a worsening vampiric condition. Right before we ended the game for good, they had just died and come back as a full on, undead vampire.
Fae AU: The first AU, that kinda started it all. Stemmed from a cultist dream thing in Blades, where Lou was the prey in an Erlking-style nightly hunt. In the fae version, they’re a sylph changeling and the only child of a fading fae queen. Their arc in this deals with them struggling with their humanity and nearly succumbing to the soul-sucking influence of their mother, before ultimately restoring her “humanity” and saving themself THROUGH THE POWER OF LOVE Cult AU: Kinda started as a Blades offshoot, coulda shoulda woulda AU where we play with ideas we wish we could have tackled in the game. Quickly became its own thing, set actually on Earth in the Prohibition era (but low magic urban fantasy) Lou is French and was rescued from the middle of a WWI battlefield by Aphotis, a goddess whose own cult had just been massacred. She was as desperate for a believer to sustain her as toddler Lou was to not die. They escaped to America as refugees and Aphotis raised them as her own, and as her caretaker and dirty-work-doer in her quest to regain power. Along the way, Lou was (perhaps intentionally) introduced to an infectious piece of a primordial god, that gave them some shapeshifting abilities at the cost of rapidly draining the life from them and twisting them. Aphotis works to keep them alive, while keeping a memory-wiped copy of them (created by this parasitic god piece) around to do her bidding. This isn’t two instances of Lou, it’s one Lou with two bodies. Same person. My personal story borrows a lot from this AU as well as my character Esther’s old story Mary Sue AU: Initially a joke exercise to write intentionally terrible fanfic (as if Dom were writing about their friends in Blades) that of course became its own thing. Lou is obviously a vampire, with most of the traditional vampire rules and weaknesses. Their Tragic Past gimmick is that they were staked in the heart while still living, as bait for their vampire queen mother. It worked, she turned them postmortem, and as a result they are much weaker than a typical vampire. They also suffer a curse to stay within the bounds of their family’s ancestral castle, which has since become a prestigious university. They also become a fluffy black cat-bat thing either at will or when too weak to sustain a full sized body. Their line of vampires usually turns into cats, but Lou is a fuckup Pirates AU: Pretty straightforward. Lou is called June in this one, and is the mutinous first mate of Captain Inkblood (Cookie), who totally does it for attention. Their secret is that they became a pirate to dodge student loan debt. Stayhome AU: “Blades, but what if the formative incident for your character never happened” Lou never gets caught by the Governor’s program to round up street urchins and send them to work-school, and instead ends up working on a shrimp boat. They never develop the world-weariness and scheming nature of canon Lou, instead devoting their intellect to learning everything about shrimp, shrimping, and shrimp boats. Insert Forrest Gump scene. Eventually their crew gets captured and ransomed by pirates, but no one ever pays up for Lou, and they end up pretty happily living with the pirate crew Western AU: Gee I wonder why this big city doctor picked up and moved all the way out here to the frontier, it couldn’t possibly be because they’re running from the law. Narrator voice: They Were. Lou is a terribly unethical doctor with a reputation for experimenting on patients, and a taste for arson. After getting chased out of town and blacklisted all over the west, they find themself joining an outlaw band, as their doctor. Here, they start to learn compassion and humanity and not being a total bastard... ...until they somewhat accidentally burn a particular bounty hunter’s face off with a firebomb, and she carves them up in return. From here on, their arc is a test of their learned compassion and breaking a cycle of bloody revenge. Horror AU: Starts off as a classic summer slasher movie, with Lou as a college student with a bunch of shitty “friends” destroying a campground and partying until they draw the local monster’s ire. The monster (Dom) kills several of them, kidnaps Lou after Lou hides their fear behind sass and clearly isn’t like the destructive campers. Lou learns more about the monster and even starts to warm up to them, especially after discovering they can boss the monster around. Lou successfully escapes but runs right into a horror swamp where a nasty worm zombie pukes worms into their mouth and infests them. As the infestation progresses and nearly kills them a few times, Lou learns that the worms are intelligent and actually adore their host, and also that they can be bribed. By the end of their arc, Lou has mostly achieved symbiosis with their worms and avoided becoming a zombie,. They eventually must face off against the monsterified Queen of the Preps, Tiffany, who was similarly infested but never achieved that symbiosis. Minecraft AU, no really: Lou was a skilled tailor, and a total workaholic. Their ambition netted them a contract for a huge order of clothing for a duchess’s wedding on an extremely tight deadline, and Lou, knowing this could make them for the rest of their life, poured everything into it. They worked themself literally to death, dying of sleep deprivation. Distraught, this unfinished business drove them to make a devil deal of sorts to keep working, and they were granted this undeath, for a price. They slowly became more and more like a Phantom as they worked, never sleeping, and feeding on the dreams of those who do sleep. By the time they finished and emerged to present their achievement, they were monstrous and were chased out of town. From then on, they had lost their passion for their craft, and wandered the wilderness, sneaking into towns at night to feed on dreams, and fighting to retain their humanity as they become more and more phantom-like. Anyway I love this one so much I might make them their own non-minecraft character LotR AU: Lou is a hobbit, entrusted with the destruction of a certain magic ring. Unfortunately, they are much more corruptible than one Frodo, and early on abandon their fellowship, driven by paranoia the Ring has been growing within them. They run into a feral Mirkwood elf raised by giant spiders, and a giant orc raised by a Beorning farmer, and the three of them embark on a weird little Ring Quest of their own. TBC AU: Lou is a quiet, social outsider high schooler, with a bitter hatred for bullies and a knack for really disproportionately nasty “pranks” directed at said bullies. Too smart for their own good and with a taste for theft, Lou is a straight-A student who has been arrested for carjacking before. They end up as part of the Blackout Club after discovering their adoptive mother’s involvement with the Chorus, and out of sheer curiosity about the secret goings-on under the town. And in no small part for free run to break into houses and smear chili oil on the hands of sleepers who inconvenience them, because Lou is a bastard and has yet to learn empathy. Which, as usual, is kinda their arc here. Make friends for the first time in their life, learn empathy, get sucked into the orbit of a fairly nasty god/Voice, classic Lou stuff AND THAT’S ABOUT IT

A dumb Wonka x reader story idea for my rather thirsty mutuals
@fudgemallows @lunarwolfgirl101 @ataristars-blog
x Wonka AU were he isn’t a candymaker but instead a highly paid and sought after exotic dancer
x The classic your friends drag you to a strip club after a bad break up to try and goof off but instead, it turns into a night of you being entranced by a certain dancer all night
x You tell yourself you’ll never come back to the club 1) it’s hella fucking expensive 2) because strip clubs are not your thing but you find yourself there the next week sitting in a comfy front row seat walking Wonka go.
x While you’re trying to leave another dancer comes to you and tells you your private dance is ready. You didn’t pay for one but you don’t fight it when they inform you it’s Wonka.
[TBC.....maybe......idk.....]

super long rambling and a fair bit of whining abt my relationship with dance AUs bc this is what my brain chose to fixate on for my whole extremely sloggish run
Because I love dance and because I love writing and because I do rather a lot of both, I pretty consistently struggle with my complete and utter block on writing dance AUs and I’ve basically realized that it comes down to a three-prong barricade that gets progressively harder to overcome as you move through it
Because part of it is just technical. Writing about dance is hard from a dancer’s perspective. I know dance, I know the mechanics of it and the sensations of it. I can walk you through the technical details of a 3-minute variation and I can tell you how my heart lifts and body fills with light the moment I step onto the stage. I can give you the nitty gritty and I can give you the grand metaphors—and I cannot for the life of me balance the lens on the middle ground.
I got asked on bumble what my favorite dance step is and immediately answered tour jete (or entrelace, depending on your school). And then, because the person wasn’t a dancer, I followed up with, “it’s a big fun jump that makes you feel like you’re flying.”
Yeah. That clears everything up.
A story cannot be made by a Big Jump That Feels Like Flying. Do you know how many steps that could cover?? Hell, how many disciplines?? A barrel leap is a big jump that can feel like flying. So is an Italian pas de chat. All three of these are  w i l d l y  different steps.
So there’s the words but—how to translate a language of precise motion and sweeping emotion into plain language accessible to people who haven’t grown up in this pidgin tongue of bad French and weird metaphors. Tombe pas de bourre glissade pas de chat contre temps—this is my language of dance. This is not only clear instruction on what steps to take but also the rhythm of it conveyed in the syllables and accents. I read this and not only see the dance across stage but feel the sway of my torso as I mark along, the flick of my wrist as I shape the steps before they’re taken, physical reminders of 17 years of training and study.
A reader reads this and their eyes glaze over and roll back in their heads.
To go the opposite way, to lay it all out in the actual physical motions is, if possible, even worse. Fall (gracefully) onto your right leg while extending your left with pointed foot to cross your left behind your right to step your right to the side to— *gasp for breath* Yeah, no.
The solution to this, in theory, is the kind of checklist I go through while performing: emotion, motion, technique. (Incidentally, this is the opposite of my checklist while rehearsing or taking class) Draw the reader in with the feel of it, move them with familiar steps, punctuate with the details. In theory. I’ve yet to make it work.
And then there’s the fact that I have had a very weird education and career in dance. I grew up dancing in the rural Midwest US—not exactly a hub of performing arts (and if you mention Joffrey, I will kindly invite you to look up “rural” and then look at Chicago).
The vast majority of dancers in the rural midwest (...RMWUS??) go to competition schools. Think Dance Moms, high kicks and tricks on Instagram, trophies and tiaras.
I.....went to a university.
We learned more about kinesiology than kicks. My teachers were fascinated by the way I could “jump like a boy” and didn’t once mention my waist circumference. It would be a lie to say it was all daisies and sweetcakes. We were competitive. Sometimes we were brats. We learned to push through severe physical pain and turned perfectionism to a weapon. Teachers had favorites and older girls could be downright mean.
But, having now danced at a competition studio, it was wildly different. When there were tears in the dressing room, it was because we were graduating and going far across the country from each other—not because a teacher had come in and yelled at the entire cast for 15 minutes right before the show. When auditions came around, we discussed each other’s strengths and weaknesses and together determined what we thought the best casting would be (tbc we did not have a say in casting, it was all just a thought exercise).
We learned about dance not as an isolated thing we do but as a part of life—dance as an expression of culture, dance as a remarkable maximization of the human body—and are still always welcomed home.
I do, if I’m totally honest, think I got a better education than people at competition schools. But when it comes to writing fanfic...this is not a model of dance that is super easily accessible. Competition dance is on TV, Instagram, it’s all over. A rigorous academic approach to modern ballet...is not.
Lastly and ultimately the biggest stumbling block is: dance has always been a very gendered experience for me. My weird university education was surprisingly queer and unsurprisingly liberal, but I am a ballerina—not a danseur, not a ballet dancer. I grew up huddling under the edge of the grand piano with my friends hastily sewing pointe shoes and tingling with anticipation when we were finally old enough to wear platter tutus. I grew up pulling my hair back in tight buns and only being allowed to wear small earrings in class when I was in high school.
There’s some crossover of course. I’ve got (as Colorado Ballet says) Mad Hops so my teacher would make me do men’s tempo jumps while the rest of the girls stood on the side and caught their breath. My partner for a pas de deux fell sick one tech week so my best friend, female, partnered me instead.
Men can (and increasingly do) train in pointe shoes and wear tutus. Look at James B. Whiteside and Harper Watters for some of the most obvious examples. It is wonderful and remarkable to see gender roles changing in ballet and dance and that should be expressed in fiction as well. Men dance. Men do ballet and not just to hold up the women or to do big jumps. They can point their feet too, y’all.
(Here is where the whining really begins. Just so you’re warned.)
But when I sit down to write, the stories I want to tell are the stories I know—queer women growing up and training and learning together and challenging and supporting each other. The way you are taught ballet is very dependent on your gender. Men can train in pointe shoes, but that’s not the classical or traditional route.
While my friends and I were taping our toes and grimacing about dead shanks, the guys in our cohort were in a separate class learning how to perform big jumps and turns in second. While I was cinching tight my friend’s corset-back bodice, the guys were in tights and a shirt. Again with the jumps—it wasn’t that I was a good jumper or that I was a strong jumper, it was that I jumped like a man. It was a compliment, but it was also an exception.
Meanwhile, most of my fandoms are very heavily male. The one time I attempted to write a dance AU was for VLD and I immediately ran into the baffling problem of “There are too many boys.” As someone who’s danced my whole life...this is not (usually) a problem in the real world of dance. If I write AUs about the main characters, I am writing about male dancers. Again, great! We need more positive and varied depictions of men dancing—but it’s not what I want to write.
I wrote out an entire paragraph here only to realize that the crux of the problem is actually the usual crux of my problem with gender in fanfiction and it is, quite simply: I want more well-developed female characters. Because I can write a story about side characters, but there’s so much less to go on — and sometimes, that’s where the fun comes in. Getting to play with and create a wealth of history and character for a written-off member of the cast can be really fun. But, for me at least, the delight of AUs is slipping in and twisting around canon in a new context.
If I write a wangxian ballet AU, Wei Wuxian’s demonic cultivation can be traded for his switching abruptly to a new studio—one that uses harsh methods, demands too much from him, cuts him off from the people he used to dance with—all so that the money from his tuition can be turned to help Jiang Cheng continue at his chosen academy and pursue dance professionally. It’s a stretch, it’s a twist, but it’s within a frame readers recognize.
If I write a ballet AU with Jiang Yanli and Wen Qing...well, it’s all free form. We have so little to go on that you can make it work—Cloud Recesses becomes a summer intensive, Wen Ruohan’s conquest becomes the buying out and closing of the Jiang academy for some new development—but there’s less resonance. We’re on new ground and the reader has to offer up a lot more trust and disbelief.
Which I suppose leads us to genderbends?? Good lord. I do not know my own feelings about that enough to go anywhere. b l a r g h
so i guess this is all to say: writing good, dance good, writing dance hard. pouty face pouty face pouty face :<

Many WingDingses going around !
Finally, I decide to integrate all the Ships of Wing!Gaster&Handplates!Gaster that I have written since I started shipping them in last February.
★Handplates!Gaster by @zarla-s
★Wing!Gaster by me
It’s really a big project...not including the ship stories that just have a few simple chats, only the ones that have outlines and some plot details.
Which story are you interested in? Just tell me (。・ω・。)ノ♡ I don't have enough time to write the full version now, but I will try my best to tell what you want to know (ง • ̀_• ́)ง
Most of the stories came from the chatting with 遥遥 @technitimr , wow, look at us. ♡(*´・ω・)(・ω・`*)♡
0. Classic WG
The beginning of all stories.
【Stories that based on Zarla's world setting】
5.fellplates/pastelWG
Based on Zarla's fellplates setting.
The story of an aggressive Wing and a pastel looking Gaster.
6.deltaruneWG
Based on Zarla's deltarune setting.
At the moment when Gaster brought the children to the medical examination, Doctor Wing felt that he had met the love of his life.
*Daily sweet love stories, oh.
30.UkagakaWG
Based on Zarla's Ukagaka setting.
*When you started the program, one more Gaster appeared.
【Stories where some vital plots changed】
1.fellWG
After discovering the little skeletons that Gaster used as subjects, Wing made the opposite choice from the classic one: he put Gaster in the cell and decided to give him back all the pain that he inflicted upon the children.
2.swapWG
Compared with the classic ones, Wing and Gaster's situation has been exchanged. Without the core accident, Wing lived happily with his children in his own world. One day, something came out from the mysterious crack that he opened.
3.fellswapWG
The Gaster who chose mercy fell into the core in an accident. When he left the void from the crack, he was furious to see the little skeletons who are treated as subjects and a Wing who seemed to have no feelings.
4.swapfellWG
The appearance of Gaster almost overthrew Wing's life. In order to protect his children, Wing agreed to be the subject of this monster from the void.
【Stories where Gaster and Wing come from the same world】
7. Adoption line WG
On the battlefield, the military medic Wing found a small skeleton hiding under a coat.

bokukuroakatsukki/ third gym musician au!
part 1 of ??
ok i was bored waiting in line at the bank so i drafted this. im not a musician and have little to none basic musical knowledge but hear me out
 • pianist tsukki, cellist bokuto, violinist kuroo, conductor akaashi
 • tsukki and akaashi are proper orchestral musicians, you know, the whole black suit and bow tie kinda stuff, play at concert halls
 • whereas kuroo and bokuto are aspiring rockstars who use classical music instruments for rock rendition of classical music and modern rock music using classical instruments
 • imagine: vivaldi winter but rock version
 • bokuroo play anywhere they can! outside a subway station, in the middle of touristy street, at a park, a club where indie band usually perform
 • they even have their own youtube channel! mostly its them messing around during practice and other times its amateur recordings of their performance on the street. they only got like, 100 views and 7 likes, but hey, they just want to spread the love for classical instruments, ya know? it's fun!
 •  also before y'all start going up my arse on how hinata and lev are a part of third gym too: lev is a drummer and hinata is an electric guitarist. they cameo in bokuroo videos sometimes and gawdddd their practice videos are so chaotic its entertaining
 • extra hc you didn't ask for but imma give anyway: kuroo's best friend kenma is dating hinata bc ya know how the guitarist always get the best girl/guy? yup
 • also: you know that phantom of the opera rock rendition in The Umbrella Academy season 1? they watched it once on their usual Neflix Fridays and bokuto was like "my dUDES wE ARe PlaYING THIS!"
 • best believe they nailed it and have it uploaded on youtube
 • it got like 570 hits and 19 likes but who cares! music is fun!!!
 • kuroo is the kind of person who can play by ear (hear it once and can immitate it) whereas bokuto is a fast learner and can catch up with kuroo easily
 • anyways. tsukki and akaashi. tsukki is a struggling child genius who is having a hard time to accept the fact that as he grows older, he's not as special as he was lead to believe. you know. the curse of being a gifted child. he's a very talented pianist, no doubt, but he used to being laid back on this whole practice thing and now younger people are catching up with him and it is bothering him
 • so tsukki started to let go and let himself fall off the bandwagon
 • akaashi is the new conductor for the orchestra and he is a talented musician too
 • akaashi can play violin, piano, cello, thrombone and flute
 • he is a nervous bean who is always worried he can't live up to the expectation, being a conductor at such a young age
 • he too, have forgotten about the joy of music because he's stressed all the time
 • tsukki and akaashi's talent were discovered around the same time when they were like, 10, 11?? so they literally grew up together
 • young akaashi was first chair violinist when he first started out but he has always been interested to conduct
 •  because of their close age gap, whenever they travel around for performances they always share the same room
 • young tsukki is the type who can't sleep well in a new environment and it always affect his performance during opening day
 • even though he tries to act tough like he have it under control, akaashi can see right through him
 • so after 2 or 3 bad opening performances akaashi suggested to tsukki they should sleep in the same bed bc akaashi's mom always did it whenever he had difficulty falling asleep. obviously tsukki protested at first, but it's not easy saying no to akaashi
 • young akaashi bows to tsukki "sorry for the intrusion" before gracefully lifting the heavy duvet and sneaking under it
 • it got awkward at first. they can feel each other's shoulder touching and warmth radiating from each other's body. between the two of them, akaashi eventually fell asleep first while fiddling with his fingers. his head shifted to lean on tsukki's shoulder in his sleep bc well you tend to gravitate towards warm things in your sleep
 • cue little tsukki's first gay panic
 • but damn it akaashi's hair smells so nice and tsukki soon drifted asleep too. the first good sleep during his entire travel and he owes it to akaashi
 • so they did it. they slept in the same bed together. and it continues on for the next 10 years, well into adulthood
 • platonically, mind you. nothing sexual.
 • tsukki loves waking up to akaashi all wrapped up around his midsection, smelling and playing with his soft hair
 • and akaashi loves watching tsukki when he's asleep bc he looks so innocent when he doesn't spout salty shit (to other people not to akaashi)
 • anyway, the theme is: mutual pining
 • whereas bokuto and kuroo are more like bros 4 lyfe who do stupid shit together like watch porn and jack each other off every now and then
 • but no homo, bro
 • they met when they were 18 at college and rented a small apartment together and bc they wanted a home studio, they turned the master bedroom into one and ended up sharing a small bedroom together
 • so waking up to morning woods is a pretty normal occasion
 • bokuto's "bro im so horny right now" and kuroo's "want me to blow you?" is also a normal occurance
 • neither can get a long term girlfriend bc they are broke musicians who always chase after the next new music to try. so they resort to each other when they needed a quick fix
 • anyway, so they're some broke ass musicians/college students trying to make a living in metropolitan tokyo playing gigs everywhere
 • and on a fateful cold autumn evening, the four of them crossed path.
Tbc I guess.
Probably add on your ideas too?? lol
I'm posting this from mobile so I'll add the read more later k sorry y'all have to see the whole thing for now

Note
If you as the writer had to erase one traumatic event from this OC’s life what would it be and why? How do you think they would differ today?
This is a really difficult question. Honestly I think it’s a difficult question for most people, but with Korrinth it’s a bit... more weighted I guess we’ll say.
The sheer fact of it is when coming up with these trauma’s of her life, as the writer, I put them there for a reason ;) They all have meaning, they all have something to do with how my character feels now, how they act, their outlook or view of the world, and all (For the most part) are intentional on my end.
But take a character like Korr who is basically defined by her trauma? It’s hard to pick something that doesn’t make the whole house of cards fall down. Actually while we’re on game analogies let me say that her tragedy is so woven into her, that it literally plays out like dominoes falling one after another. One bad thing happened that led to a poor choice, then another poor choice, then another bad thing, then a terrible realization, then another poor choice, until the poor girls so traumatized she’s.... well who she is now. But her in particular? These tragedies needed to happen in that order or we would never get the end result of this multi-layered Illidari. And don’t get me wrong she would still be a complex character, but to me she wouldn’t have all those things that make her great. It would probably inspire so much change that, like one of Korrinths biggest points of contention being that she doesn’t recognize herself anymore- it’s kind of true. Without these things she would be so different it may as well be a different character.
That all being said I’m interested in an AU version of Mage!Korr for that exact reason. TBC in Classic mebbe.
Take for example if I say she never found that cursed book that corrupted her brother. She would still be a mage and a completely different character. Say she never became an Illidari and she’s once again a mage, but with a tragic past and a fel tainted brother. Take her loss of arcane magic and you lose what makes her sacrifice becoming an Illidari (Not that it was the only one) an actual interesting topic of conversation.
Trauma definitely defines her way too much to strike one from the record, more so then my other muses. I think... maybe though, thinking about it harder; God I was about to say something about her dad being alive in some capacity but that would be tragic too. She’s insanely afraid of anyone from her past finding out what she did to herself. That’s just gonna add more trauma lol.
Shit man, @aerdendios out here asking the tough questions. I’m kind of stumped.

My Reach, Far and Wide (WoW)(WIP)(Role Swap AU; Druid!Illidan, DH!Malfurion, Warden!Tyrande)
A/N: I have been wanting to do fanfics that take place purely during the Classic era (as in, before TBC and WotLK), and though I’m halfway to level 60 on my main it seems to me that, so far, there’s very little that’s drawing my attention and warrants my interest to flesh something out. This might be a bad idea, what with me plodding along at the pace of a snail, so for that endeavor I may have to consult my Chronicles volumes for more info.
In the meantime, I’d been fishing for ideas on want to focus on today, this being my day off. This preview below is half the document that I’ve typed up so far: a fanfic that takes direct inspiration from skins that originate in Heroes of the Storm, featuring Warden!Tyrande, Druid!Illidan, and Malfurion as the Betrayer of Night Elves. Maiev is the High Priestess (although certainly not shipped with Illidan), and Kor’vas (not presented here) is Illidan’s adopted daughter (a foil to Shandris, a Watcher that is a swap of Naisha, whom is of the Sisterhood).
A reminder that, although Illidan’s motives to sabotage the Legion was eventually revealed, Malfurion’s Betrayer was available prior to it. The description dictates that in that universe he went mad from Sargeras’s whispers and thus abandoned Cenarius’s teachings to join the Legion, a move that came as a shock to the night elves. While I can definitely see this version of Malfurion becoming Sargeras’s jailor in the future, his aspirations would be a lot more selfish and much less altruistic - his partnership would serve as a convenience to slake his addiction to magic than out of any ounce of goodness in his heart: an iteration that is closer to Illidan’s pre-Legion personality and goals.
-
One thing they teach you among the Watchers is to never, under any circumstances unless you have someone accompanying you, close your eyes longer than is absolutely necessary. There were going to be times where you would go stretches without rest; you’re either on your feet or, if you’re Tyrande Whisperwind, standing on your feet and not moving the slightest centimeter from your post, to which your feet will scream for mercy as they ache with each heavy, trodden step is weighted on the ground or your legs will turn to jelly and shiver with the chill of needles lancing up and down muscles and ligaments as to become stone pincushions that can give out with little to no warning in its abruptness.
Sleep is human, but sleeping before it is called for denotes weakness. A potential for trouble. Elune have mercy on the souls of those unfortunate enough to close their eyes to the darkness that lurks behind the veil of reality and awaits them all in the inevitable future; for though the Burning Legion has been pushed out of Azeroth, their presence still remains. Life finds a way to survive the sundering of the world, but so too does evil—Sargeras’s vile servants remain, stalking the fractured land that came to be called Kalimdor, searching for ways to break through the night elves’ defenses and feast upon the Well nestled beneath Nordrassil’s eaves, glowing with magic and untold promises of power beyond a person’s wildest fancies. A road that would lead only to temptations, the Wardens would grumble.
Tyrande doesn’t close her eyes all the way. They lower, half-mast, a fraction of a blink. Yet it’s not the footsteps that startle her awake but the shadow stretching along the wall coming closer that does. She rises up, breath hissing out between clenched teeth that she hopes is low enough for the intruder not to hear, and bears the umbral crescent before her so fast the torchlight flashes across its serrated teeth.
“At ease, sister!” Astarii Starseeker cries, and when Tyrande’s eyes finish their blink they take in her fellow Watcher, hands upraised in placation. “It’s only me!”
Slowly, Tyrande relaxes and lowers her weapon. “You should know better than to sneak up on me.”
“My apologies. But the others said you had not come up from your post for your break. I went to go check on you.”
“I wasn’t sleeping.”
Astarii laughs and rubs the back of her neck, sheepish. “Ah. That’s good. That’s, uh, that’s good! I’d hate to have to bring Shan’do Illidan down here and find you dozing away. That,” she shifts from one foot to the other, deciding her words, “I don’t think you’d’ve liked that.”
Tyrande’s ears pin back, more over the thought of being caught unawares than the news that her Watcher brings. “The Shan’do? Again?”
“Yes. Again,” Astarii repeats patiently, and gestures behind her the way she’d come. “He waits at the entrance.”
Tyrande huffs a sigh, reattaches the crescent to its tackles on her belt beneath the long green cape, and turns away. “Send him down,” she calls, and doesn’t bother looking back when Astarii acknowledges her and goes up the tunnel to relay the message.
She senses him well before his shadow dwarfs her and it travels along the walls like a lonesome phantom of the War. Hard to, really; the Archdruid’s influence is vast, incalculable, filled with a life that encompasses every blade of grass, every speck of dust and dirt and speck of grain and sand, every leaf in every tree and every drop of water in every river and nook and stream and pond and lake in Mount Hyjal that when inhaled is fresh and green and free of the corruption that drove Azshara and her Highborne to heights of uncaring, vainglorious madness. When he finally catches up with her and matches her stride for stride, Tyrande is already halfway beneath the den.
Neither say a word, walking past silent Watchers that cease whatever activity they are doing—sharpening their blades, striking the target dummies, checking the wards—and incline their heads to their Warden, or bow low at the waist before they straighten and resume the task they left off. They take a sharp right and cross the wooden bridge that goes over the inlet that burbles beneath them and spills over the edge into a shallow pool below ringed with stalagmites. The torches flicker, through their high cheekbones into brief shadow; Tyrande sniffs, scenting juniper and earthroot, deep and damp as its namesake.
“I don’t know why you keep doing this,” Tyrande says as they round the corner that takes them down, down, into a gloom that not even the flames can wholly fend off. “People like him will never change.”
“He is still my brother,” Illidan says, voice flat.
“Not even family should be granted special treatment. You should have done away with him, for all our sake.”
“And what good would that have done? One traitor’s death will not eliminate the influence the Dark One has left on this world.” His frown is harsh, severe. It makes him look far older than he appears, like an oak tree that has weathered many storms. “There are others now. There will be more then.”
“Not if we have anything to say about it.”
“Do you really want to afford a civil war? Is this what you’re doing while I walk among my brethren in the Dream?”
Tyrande harrumphs, lips tipped up in a cruel, mirthless smile. “For all your talk of unity, Shan’do, you’re still the same, guileless boy with a soft heart that I grew up with in Lor’lathil so long ago. I suppose when I’ll next see you again you’ll expect me to hold hands with Broll Bearmantle.”
“A preferable alternative, next to that blowhard you call a friend.”
“Fandral has the right idea for our people. We need only concern ourselves. No other race in all of Azeroth can compare to the vigil we stand against the Burning Legion and any that may stand beside them. Ours is a strength that comes from within and the bounty nature offers us. To think they are capable otherwise is beyond their ken.”
“Even the Highborne?”
“You know it had to be done. Keeping them here would have given you your civil war, and then where would our people be? Nordrassil is not blessed, and Andrassil is broken. Although exiling them across the seas may prove to be a disaster in the making—did you know Dath’remar has founded a kingdom of his own and created a new Well? They changed, Illidan. They have turned their backs on Elune, preferring the warmth of the sun.”
“I am well aware of their metamorphosis and their monarchy. The Dream does not end in just Kalimdor.”
“I should hope not.”
“You worry too much. So long as they keep their nose clean, they can do whatever they wish to do that they could not in Ashenvale.”
“You hope too much. You really expect them to behave.”
“In the future we have built atop the ruins of our arrogance, hope is one of the few things I treasure above all else. I am grateful you know me so well.”
Tyrande snorts. “You should have killed them,” she snarls. “You should have killed him. Sparing them will bring us nothing but trouble.”
“You and Maiev both. I dread to think you are both twins, or two separate entities of a whole. That’s all she talks about.”
“Well, the Wardens are always accepting new applicants, should she ever change her mind.”
“There’s hardly a difference between you and the Sisterhood of Elune, all things considered.”
“And what about you and the Betrayer?”
A rustle of leaves, a creak of wood as Illidan turns his head. The radiance of golden eyes behind his blindfold--whether to shield everyone of their intensity or from the horrible gash Azzinoth gave him that almost rendered him blind eludes her—brightens the hallway, causing Tyrande to look askance lest she discover firsthand if she truly will lose her sight to it. “What about us?” he asks.

I’ve sworn to myself that I'm not allowed to play WoW classic until I’ve finished Footnotes, so that should be pretty soon because I’ve got The Itch. Yes, I was one of the old guard who started in 1.10 or something, actually raided hardcore in TBC, less so in WOTLK, then completely tapered off and quit by Cata (Tauren Druid, Blood elf priest, troll hunter, night elf death knight, night elf priest, for those curious).
So, in terms of procrastination, this just means that I’ve been mentally writing a Reylo Warcraft AU, which is really going back for me fanfic wise, since I started writing actually-committed-to-the-internet fic with nelf/troll belf/troll stuff. Rey and Kylo would really lend themselves well to one of those classic "night elf hunter tames a troll shaman in wolf form, things go poorly/smuttily" fics, maybe...
Can’t find any of my original release art, but I’ve dug up 12-year-old character art of young Dr. Mr. Camucia's and my characters from back when we were dating during TBC. Man, I was way better at improvising weird anatomy and armor back in college...
