One thing I'm starting to understand is that Tanaka loves to hit us with a brutal and rather bloody death of our favourite and beloved characters then saying "sike" it was an illusion 5 seconds later...first Mikuni.. Now sakuya..
... When is the sike for tsurugi coming Tanaka? Its been MONTHS.

# tsukishima kei - unbothered
Tumblr media
a/n = ahhh, new account new beginnings (honestly, i haven't written anything in so long idk if it's good at all T-T)
summary = tsukishima accidentally reveals your relationship in front of the karasuno boys.
warnings = yamamoto hitting on you, nothing else i guess?
Tumblr media
tsukishima tried to stay composed, but it was so hard.
back at the very beginning of your relationship, which was going strong for the last two months, both of you had agreed upon keeping it a secret from the rest of the team. the reason was simple. tsukishima valued his privacy, and that meant the less his teammates know, the better. if they ever found out he's dating someone, they probably wouldn't let him live; tanaka and nishinoya definitely being the first ones to do so.
especially, if they found out his dating their manager.
you being karasuno's manager definitely came with its perks; the two of you could spend a lot of time without it seeming suspicious, you could watch his games from up close and, aside from all that, you've made some great friends along the way. but there were also some downsides. and one of those was surely being hit on by other volleyball teams.
the nekoma volleyball team arrived around an hour earlier than it was expected for their sparring game. and since that very moment tsukishima had to deal with a certain second year ace shamelessly hitting on his girlfriend.
"she seems quite uncomfortable right now." yamaguchi pointed out, appearing next to tsukishima out of nowhere. the blonde boy was very aware of it, and it drove him crazy. he tried to seem unbothered though, only murmuring a quick 'yeah' as an answer.
you could feel tsukishima's stare burning into yamamoto's back as he tried flirting with you, walking after you around the whole practice room while you tried to do your patch of manager duties. you tried to brush him off, but the guy seemed not to see the signs. from one point of view, it was quite funny; but it wasn't as funny when you realized that meant he would probably hit on you for nekoma's whole stay here. and to your disappointment, the time seemed to fly painfully slow.
tsukishima observed the two of you as you finished preparing water bottles for the team, which meant you've successfully checked off all of the things from your manager to-do list. as you tried walking away from yamamoto, heading to the exit to get some fresh air, the bleached blonde cornered you, making you stuck between him and the wall, his face too close to yours for your liking. it didn't help that no one in the whole gym seemed to notice that something was happening.
no one except tsukishima, of course.
the blonde boy rushed over to you two without a second thought, grabbing yamamoto's arm roughly as he dragged the boy away, an almost angry look painted on his face.
"i would suggest you don't flirt with my girlfriend. ever again." he said, annoyance clear in his voice as he glared at the older boy, making sure to emphasize those two important words.
my girlfriend.
he left the boy standing with a shocked look on her face as he turned to face you, his expression immediately changing to a softer, gentle one.
"you okay, idiot?" he asked, a smile appearing on his face for just a mere second, but still long enough for you to catch it. you gave him a small nod in response.
"i didn't think you'd react at all." you said, tilting your head as you looked at him, a smile appearing on your face. "especially like that. you know all the boys are staring at us right now, right?"
oh. oh.
tsukishima forgot about that. he was too focused on you to remember that they weren't alone.
the entirety of karasuno's volleyball team was here, staring at him with utter shock on their faces from the moment he addressed you as his girlfriend. everything he's been hiding so well for the past two months was not a secret anymore. he did the only thing he could think of at the moment; grab your hand and quickly head out of the gym, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink, much to his annoyance.
once the two of you stood in front of the building, tsukishima tried to seem unbothered by the fact he just unveiled your relationship in the stupidest way possible, but it was clear to you that he was fazed by the whole situation from the tiny details on his face, that were different to his usual expression.
"don't worry about that, tsukki" you said, patting him lightly on the shoulder. "i'm sure they won't be too dramati-"
"I WON THE BET! PAY ME UP, ASAHI!"
the two of you turned your head towards the opened door, the screaming from the inside catching you mid sentence. you immediately recognized it to be tanaka; who was now jumping around his older teammate in excitement.
"or maybe they will be dramatic." you said, a giggle escaping your mouth at the image in front of you. tsukishima let out a sigh, clearly annoyed with the behavior he just witnessed.
"they're acting like five year olds. tsk." he stated, rolling his eyes as nishinoya and hinata joined tanaka on nagging their ace. "i can't believe those idiots are my teammates."
"well, at least now we don't have to be pretending in front of them." you said, a smile on your face as you turned to look at tsukishima again. "give them two weeks, and they'll put their excitement on something else."
tsukishima knew you were right, buy it still wasn't as comforting as he thought it would be.
"this will be the worst two weeks of my life."

nishinoya yuu loves his teammates.
he adores shouyou, yamaguchi, and kageyama. (tsukishima is only slowly growing on him.) point is, he loves his junior teammates dearly, and would gladly win and lose every tournament if it means just being with them.
but right now? it almost doesn’t feel that way.
you shift nervously, hoping hinata wouldn’t turn around and see the almost poisonous glare nishinoya is drilling on the back of his head. you can see the smoke coming from his ears.
“um.” you feel sweat trickle down the side of your face on hinata’s behalf. “hinata-kun…”
“huh?” says hinata, so painfully oblivious. he tilts his head, asking, “is that a no? it’s okay if you don’t know how to, i can teach you!”
someone gasps from the sidelines.
an unreadable look passes over nishinoya’s face. you almost laugh at how much he’s resembling a disgruntled kitten.
“i know how to, hinata-kun, it’s just that—”
“shouyou,” says nishinoya sternly, a shadow cast across his face, “please stop flirting with the love of my life.”
hinata’s face drains of color so fast you almost reach out in case he faints right then and there. “nishinoya-senpai!” he cries, horrified, “is it against the—the bro… bro… conduct…? contract?”
“the bro code,” yamaguchi helpfully supplies.
“the bro code!” hinata continues. “is it against the bro code to teach someone’s significant other volleyball?”
“it is very intimate,” tanaka agrees, nodding. “i wouldn’t cross that line even on those damn city boys!”
“since when was there a bro code?” sugawara wonders.
“what’s a bro code?” kageyama looks lost, and a little miffed he’s missing out on what seems to be another rule about volleyball he doesn’t know.
“because!” nishinoya yells, catching the attention of just about everyone in the court. “because i don’t want any of you wooing y/n-chan! only i get to look cool in front of y/n, okay? not even you, shouyou.”
hinata nods, taking his mistake seriously.
“yuu,” you laugh, exasperated and hopelessly fond, “there’s no need for all that. only you look the coolest in my eyes.”
nishinoya freezes, jaw hanging wide open. it is impossible, realistically, but everyone watches in awe as an arrow in the shape of a heart strikes him right on his chest.
“y-y/n…” he sobs, sprinting over to you until you’re tackled. but you’re too used to his antics so you just hold him up awkwardly, unfazed. “i love you! would you really let me teach you volleyball?”
this seems extremely important for nishinoya, so you play along and pretend to consider it. “hmm, i don’t know,” you muse, and nishinoya holds his breath. “are you a good teacher?”
“he is!” tanaka agrees immediately, the number one wingman.
“nishinoya-senpai is the best teacher!” and hinata means it, too. “you’re so lucky, y/n-san!”
“i’m touched to have this honor, then,” you laugh.
“i love you guys! i’m treating you ice cream tomorrow!” nishinoya continues sobbing and preening from the praise. he turns to you, pointing with a finger. “i’m not going to make you regret choosing me!”
you find it sweet that nishinoya is more than happy to let you in on his favorite sport. he seems overjoyed of the thought of you and volleyball combined. “of course, yuu. i’m looking forward to it.”
Tumblr media
this is so stupid HAHAHA i swear it’s like i forgot how to write anymore. i didnt even want to do my fancy format bc i cant think of a title for this
is this a good time to post? no. am i gonna do it anyway so i can slowly make my way back to the algorithm before posting longer fics even though this’ll flop? absolutely yes.

HAIKYUU CHARACTERS MEETING YOU, THEIR IDOL PLAYER
a/n - so this was kinda inspired by the one piece swapped au :) but yeah basically it’s just them meeting you, a professional volleyball player for Japan that they’ve idolized their entire life and aspired to become like you 🫶
Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, famous volleyball player reader, this is not an x reader thing!!
Tumblr media
are they having a seizure? A stroke? A heart attack? Maybe all three?? | “OH MY GO—“ they’re frozen mid sentence
.✩ hinata (when is bro not tweaking when he meets someone remotely cool?), nishinoya, tanaka (you made him and nishinoya freeze midair like when they saw johzenji’s manager), koganegawa, goshiki, yamaguchi, bokuto (he’ll unfreeze and then yap about how cool you are), yamamoto, inuoka, kinoshita, himekawa (he might’ve died standing up)
you’re scared of them because why are they just staring at you like they wanna murder you? | they want an autograph but are too afraid to ask you
.✩ kageyama, asahi (he doesn’t mean to bro 😭), aone, sakusa (bro doesn’t want germs on him but he also thinks you’re cool so he’s torn)
they’re so sweet, and they walk up to you with so much adoration your heart legit melts | “You’re so cool— you’re the reason I started volleyball and I’m so glad I did!”
.✩ hinata, nishinoya, kanoka, michimiya (she’s literally so sweet 😭), natsu, akane (she got into cheering because of you not her brother don’t tell him)
they’re all calm on the outside but inside they’re tweaking | “Can I have an autograph?” OH MY GOD IT’S Y/N L/N HOLY SHIT—
.✩ hoshiumi, kuroo, yaku, suguru, futakuchi, konoha, terushima
probably the most normal acting fans out of everyone | “Can I have a selfie with you? I’m a big fan of yours :)”
.✩ tendou, sugawara, ennoshita, iwaizumi (bro does not know how to smile for pictures tho), oikawa (he’s gonna do those finger heart things), matsukawa, hanamaki, daichi (also does not know how to smile for pictures plus he can’t figure out how to flip the camera), semi, aran, kai, komori, hirugami, akaashi
they don’t even look like they like you but they really do | “Can I have an autograph?” they say that as they’re looking at you like you’re a piece of trash
.✩ ushijima, kunimi, kenma (you’re his fav streamer), suna (his rbf is so bad) washio, shirabu (I don’t think he’s ever looked friendly in his life)
they’re very nervous and they legit cannot ask what they wanna ask without forgetting who they are where they are and what’s happening 😭 | “Uh— what’s my name for you to sign? Oh! Right— yeah my name is uh— crap what is my name?”
.✩ yamaguchi, hinata, kindaichi, himekawa, kinoshita, yachi (it’ll be a miracle if she actually is able to ask for a picture without dying of anxiety), kanoka, asahi (he forgot what he was gonna ask you too)
you’re a fan of them so now you’re tweaking because they’re asking YOU for an autograph/selfie | “Can I have a self—“ “YES.”
.✩ kenma (you’re literally a premium patreon), alisa, lev (bro him and his sister are so pretty), little giant, timeskip hinata (ninja shoyo bro 😭🙏)
you’re scared because why are they as tall as the BFG | “Can I have a selfie?” “Yeah sur— HOLY—“

Hi King!!! I absolutely adore your fics my dude, I found your trapped in the wilderness fic like a year or two back, forgot about it, and then found your Daichi time travel fic. So you can imagine my delighted surprise when I looked at your ao3 account and found out this was the same author! I was like “0o0, I KNOW YOU!! :D” Suffice to say I love your Haikyuu fics they are an absolute gem to read (Time Enough to Risk it All and Paranormality are my personal faves)
I had a question for you, similar to a previous ask you got about tips on writing? Not general tips mind you, I’m trying to write a Haikyuu fanfic myself starring Oikawa, and I wanted to know if you had any writing tips regarding character writing specifically? Like, in regards to getting into a character’s head and how that influences the POV? I’m probably going to have multiple POVs in different chapters, but I don’t want to run into the old trap of, “These are two separate characters but they sound like the same person” y’know? Also want to make sure I’m avoiding OOC territory, while taking any potential plot developments and how that would change a character into account. And I know you’re good at that, all your interpretations of the Haikyuu cast feel distinct yet true to the characters at their core!
aaaaaaaaaa oh my god thank you so much 😭 I'm very glad you've liked my silly stories so much. I will do my best to provide advice for your question here...
**Keeping Characters In Character - this is VERY fanfic specific!!**
[obv. writing original work requires strong character voice but the question and this response is super focused on characters that you have source material to work with]
1. my immediate first thought, and the thing I default to the most, is **Pay Attention To How Other Characters Talk About Them** yes, its all fine and dandy to go off and say "oh theyve got these secret other side-" because yeah!! they probably do!! everyone is multiple people depending on the circumstance!! but the way other characters talk about them or act around them really will define how your character is behaving, because it shows how they are *choosing* to behave (and what can be seen from the outside) Paying attention to the relative relationships of these characters describing them matter too. Here are examples (all from Haikyuu) of how I do this:
1. Daichi
[in early season 1, when Daichi gets mad at the duo, Suga and Tanaka both start trying to fuck off out of scene in preparation; similarly, both Suga and Tanaka try to hide their secret practice from him.] = People are generally afraid of him, or aware that getting yelled at is on the table, but he's predictable. They both start acting afraid BEFORE he gets angry because they are familiar with his patterns. [Suga and Asahi comment on it feeling weird when he's nice to them, and he snaps at them to say he could be mean instead.] = His casual conversational tone isn't very complimentary. Since we dont see him being overtly mean, I asssume this means he is on the quieter side, probably very reserved, and typically speaks up to correct someone or direct and take control of a conversation. Being overtly nice is seen as a deviation is his conversational habits. [Noya acts very distinctly interested and pleased when he learns Daichi has given him a cool nickname] = People hold a lot of respect for him. Given the previous details, we can assume this is at least in part due to him often withholding such praise, but also we can use it to temper the previous notes. His "meanness" is not coming across as malice, but rather something worth respecting or justified in some way.
Application in Writing: Dialogue should be direct and consistent, use shorter sentences and have him think before he speaks. He finds annoyance and anger easier to express and will likely withhold affectionate conversations from everyone regardless of closeness of friendship level. While he comes across mean, he is not insulting, belittling or cruel, and since people have significant respect for him, he likely avoids situations that would make him look foolish, and will probably be the last to join in on the fun.
QUICKER EXAMPLES:
2. Suga [Every character describes Suga as nice and kind, there is no "bad review" of him.] = No matter his opinion of someone, Suga will use kind, gentle language with them and avoid giving them a reason to dislike him.
3. Oikawa [Iwaizumi, in voice over, says something to the effect of: "despite how he might seem, Oikawa is actually a pretty goofy guy."] = While not given the opportunity often, Oikawa is playful, unserious and silly - the word "goofy" is important to note. Its not funny. Comedians are funny. Dogs with long floopy ears are "goofy" - However he either intentionally or unintentionally chooses not to behave this way often. Either way, he has distinct "sides" to him that can be identified. However, his natural state is far more goofy than we give him credit for, so he will likely be the first to crack jokes, laugh at dumb things, or general want to lighten the mood. He doesnt like things to be gloomy and may actively resist that kind of conversation or situation.
4. Leon calling Ushijima a "super volleyball idiot" says way more about his behaviour off the court than anything Ushijima ever did. Oikawa and Kageyama and Hinata and Atsumu get to be monsters but no, Leon says its the term "we" are most "satisfied with". Did they pitch other names? They do not take Ushijima seriously at all. So his terrifying persona is probably very superficial. None of the team has ever had an actually bad experience with him, and he is very consistent in his likes and desires: probably doesnt have a (conversationally) confrontational bone in his body. "We could call him a monster but nah, he's too fucking weird for that." Like what more of a character study do you need!! Leon STOP.
This is dragging on longer than I want it to. I apologize. I could have more to say on the matter but to sum it up quick:
People, humans, are multifaceted, but ultimately are most defined by how they are remembered, and how they choose to present themselves to the world. This is will affect that "voice" that you're worried about sounding the same. Ultimately, all your characters will be the same. Everyone is insecure, everyone wants to be seen as attractive, everyone things theyre not good enough, everyone worries their lover will grow tired of them, everyone thinks they are the only person to have ever felt that way. The change, that voice, is how they want everyone else to look at them.
Using the previous notes, we can answer the question: "Oh my god, You look really good today!!" 4 ways. Internally, they're all very happy to receive a compliment because they wore a new shirt and they weren't sure it looked good. Externally...
Daichi: "Oh. Thank you."
Suga: "Ohh, Thank you! That's so sweet of you to say."
Oikawa: "I look really good today? Did I not yesterday? Ah, just messing with you - I know I looked good yesterday."
Ushijima: "I do? Good."
LAST TANGENT:
if you are NATIVE ENGLISH and youre writing fanfiction for NON-ENGLISH SHOW. IDC if youre a subtitles purist, WATCH IT IN ENGLISH. being able to (in your native language) use the characters voice in your head to read dialogue makes a world of difference. I DONT CARE if you can head Sugas Japanese VA perfectly - UNLESS YOU SPEAK JAPANESE IT WONT HELP.
Whenever I'm struggling with writing Sugawara, or a l think he's OOC, I just mentally replay the soundbite from the dub of him going "Good Grief!" like a goddamn oeanuts character and then its like "oh yeah. he's back. i know how to write him now."
I have a few of these little soundbite grounding things for some of them. Its REALLY helpful to be able hear the characters voices saying the lines (sorry if youre deaf..) and if you CANT (and you normally can) then maybe the dialogue is ooc.
WAIT ONE MORE TANGENT:
"King, you've only talked about dialogue??? what about-" Dialogue controls actions!!! if you can get a characters conversational tone and linguistic habits down, you'll have NO ISSUES keeping their physical habits in check.
thus concludes another advice corner. i am working on the other questions atm but i have limited time and cannot do more than 1 after work without my brain melting so :)
thanks for reading :) happy writing
xx

I found you on ao3 and love your writing. I’m interested in the soulmate au and wondered how would the some yanderes would in finding out their darling will try to severe their connection, seeing they rather be alone than any drama that comes with soulmates. My interest in Haikyuu is budding and working on an oc, fair warning she’s should have been in juvie
I think this is the first time I’ve heard of someone finding me on AO3! Usually it’s on Quotev lol! And good luck on your OC, she sounds fun!! XD I forgot some characters, but I included most of the most popular ones I think.
He’s stunned by the broken connection and, when he confronts you, he’s all tears and snot, begging to know why you would do this to him. He can’t fathom why you would do such a horrible thing. What did he do wrong? How can he fix this? This-this isn’t a permanent severance, is it?
He does a great job of guilt tripping you, whether that’s on purpose or not.
Nishinoya, Tanaka, Hinata, Bokuto
Interesting… he’s fascinated by how daring you are, to try to erase your mark and sever the connection between you both. Now, do you know it’s him you’re bound to or is it just soulmates in general that bother you? He’d very much like to know, and maybe he can change your mind in the meantime.
Tsukishima, Shirabu, Osamu, Kunimi, Kenma
Well, that’s bothersome. Still, it can’t be helped- someone as handsome and influential as him must intimidate someone as cute and precious as you. Maybe you’re afraid he doesn’t notice someone like you- don’t worry, he notices you plenty! Especially now that you’ve tried this obnoxious little tactic of getting his attention. That’s all it is, right? You just want his attention.
Well, you’ve got it now.
Oikawa, Kuroo, Atsumu, Semi
It hurts… it hurts so much! The fact that you disliked him enough to try to sever your connection to him breaks him apart. He doesn’t approach you yet. No, he needs a plan. He’ll keep his feelings private and put on a smile like you aren’t destroying the most important thing he has. It makes him feel insecure too… is he just not good enough for you?
Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Yamaguchi, Kita, Ushijima, Aone
Oh HELL no! You aren’t getting away with that! They’re at your doorstep before you can even finish trying. He’s known about the connection before it even existed (you’re meant to be together in his eyes) and he’s not letting you destroy it! Whether it’s by threats or force, he’ll make sure you never even think of trying that shit again.
Kageyama, Iwaizumi, Kyotani, Tendou, Suna

Drew Tanaka (Part 6)
Healing.
Letting her heart vulnerable again, at the mercy of the world.
"It's worth it" Will assured with a kind smile.
"I can't imagine a world where I don't love my brother." Connor thought at loud next to her.
"The heart is not my domain, Drew. But I suppose that living without love is not the answer." Malcolm said mindlessly, all his attention directed on a book about chess strategies.
A splash of water brings her back and the naiad gets back into the water before Drew manages to whack her.
It's been a week since she talked with Lacy and began her "redemption journey" as Connor likes to call it.
And while Drew is willing to present excuses to those she slightly offended, she is not willing to receive their contempt and snarky remarks.
Especially when she's trying to say sorry and they are just standing there, with the most disgusting arrogant smile, one that screams She finally realised she was wrong and that we were right all along.
If those idiots think she forgave Silena, they are dead wrong. Their dear little victim will forever stay a traitor in Drew's mind.
She is trying to apologise for her bitchy attitude towards them, even though she still thinks they deserved it, but if they don't wan't her "redemption journey", Drew isn't going to make it easy for them either.
She can feel Will facepalming at her attitude and snickers when she imagines Connor giving her thumbs up and "you go girl !".
How did Will and the Stoll ever became friends, she'll never know.
What she will begrudgingly do is apologise to Piper when if she comes back. Maybe she had been a little too hard on her, and Lacy wants her to be nice with her siblings.
But the nerve to talk as if she knew Silena...
Bring it down, bring it all the way down
She wonders if the boiling inferno churning in her stomach when she thinks of her sister will one day stop.
The distant sound of a horn makes her sigh and row towards shore as fast as she can. She has never been late at dinner before and isn't going to start now.
"Why do they suck at being nice ?" She complains to Mitchell and Lacy, her hands making grand gestures in the air, "I want to apologise and they won't let me."
"Give them time, they'll forgive you eventually." Mitchell shrugs, carefully picking you every single olive on his pizza's slice.
"You forgave me easily !"
"Yes," he drawls, "but I knew you from before. Most of them forgot that era of you. All they remember is you being a-"
"Careful young man."
"a, hum, bad person." he finishes lamely.
"I have my reasons." She defends herself but doesn't elaborate. While her siblings now understand her grief, they still view Silena as a saint. She doesn't the energy nor the envy to fight with them again.
"We know," Lacy says hastily, "but don't worry about them, okay ? First, we have to get Piper to like you."
"She's going to be insufferable about it."
"As if you don't deserve it." Mitchell says snickering.
Drew narrows her eyes at her little brother, her hand reaching for the discarded olives on his plate, and manage to throw one of them is his mouth while he's laughing.
It's her turn to laugh at his disgusted face and pale horror when the olive falls on his clothes after he spat it out.
"You're a demon, Drew."
"So are you but you just hide it better."
Her little brother can be a true brat when he wants. Drew couldn't be more proud.
"Anyways, gossip time. What's the tea ?"
"Sherman and Miranda are totally in love." Lacy says excitedly, "He let her beat him in combat training today !"
"Woah" Mitchell whistles, "he really loves her."
"Those two don't need our help then, they managed fine."
"We have to do something about Connor and Malcolm."
"No, we don't." Drew says, conjuring her own pizza's slice on her plate, "they have to figure it out alone."
Mitchell rolls his eyes but doesn't press it.
"I think Will and Nathan from Demeter would make a cute couple." Lacy suggests.
"Nah, Will already likes someone else."
"Really ? Who ?"
"It's a secret."
Both her siblings groan and whine but Drew keeps her mouth shut.
They don't need to know now about the dashing, stunning, brave, and Italian son of Hades Will keeps gushing about.
His words, not hers.
Though for his sake, Nico Di Angelo should visit them more. She can't stand the sad look on her friend's face when he leaves Camp for his father's errands or whatever he has to do.
"What about Damian White and, what's her name again ? Clara ?"
"Chiara from Tyche ?" Lacy suggests
"Yes, that one" Drew snaps her fingers, "those two are a match."
"They are always screaming at each other."
"Clearly you weren't here when Travis and Katie figured out they liked each other. It was glorious."
"I heard he gifted her a goat ?"
"Oh yes !" Drew cackles gleefully, "Huguette the goat ! She ate the whole roof of Demeter cabin, Katie was red with rage. Poor Travis just wanted to give her a fluffy animal."
"He was a terrible flirt." Mitchell says with disbelief.
"Mmmh", she agrees with a smile.
She wonders if Katie told him that every time she had a nightmare, petting Huguette would always comfort her.
For a moment, everything goes white.
Then she sees someone's foot on her pizza.
"Hey guys, we're back."
Of course, only Piper McLean would land her delicious pizza's slice.
"Piper !" Lacy screeches, getting on the table to hug the girl, "you're alive !"
"Yes, yes, good job McLean" Drew says drily, "Now get off the table."
Piper obliges with a roll of her eyes and sits next to Lacy who is looking at Drew pointedly.
Making friends, right.
"So, Piper, I hope your quest wasn't too hard."
"It was."
"Near death experiences ? I know those can be-"
"A lot, yeah." Piper answers again, shortly and curly.
Drew grips her glass tightly.
Lacy looks at her with pleading eyes.
"You must be tired," she says with a strained voice, "you can skip campfire if you wish."
"It's alright," Piper dismisses her offer with her hand, "I'm fine."
"Okay, then let's go. Every one wants to know about your quest."
She gets up brusquely, not looking back to see if they followed.
"How is your "redemption journey" going ?" Connor asks her, appearing next to her.
"Badly, even Piper is giving a hard time."
"Ouch," he winces, "you really managed to piss her off the two days she was here ?"
"I am full of talents, Connor."
"I can see that, but try again tomorrow morning okay ? Give her the night to cool off."
He pats her shoulder before going join his cabin and Drew has no other choice than look for her siblings too.
As Piper, Leo and Jason tell their quest, Drew has to admit that McLean is tougher than she looks.
Maybe they really just started on bad terms and they could be great sisters.
Connor's advice doesn't sound too bad, she'll apologise to Piper first thing in the morning.
I now have two options :
-follow canon and Drew surrenders to Piper, giving away without a fight her counsellor position.
-do whatever I want and Piper gets beaten up by her sister.
I have actually already decided what I was going to do...

A little something that i want to see in "Hinata goes to a different school" au's is the reaction of whatever team Hinata will go to in the au when Hinata will spike the ball for the first time infront of them during tryouts. I want to see them be surprised that someone as short as Hinata could jump that high and spike the ball that fast, like people were in canon.
And what i mean by "Like people were in canon" is that you could tell that people were SHOCKED when they saw Hinata spike the ball that fast (also known as his quick attack/freak attack/demon quick attack), like for example:
Kageyama, during their first middle school match, he even said "Where have you been these past 3 years?!" And "He wasnt expecting a back toss, but he was still able to hit it.", he was clearly impressed.
Tsukishima, when he was practicing receives wuth Kageyama and Tsuki stole the ball amd Shoyo jumped up to grab it. Tsuki even said, "When i first saw your jump, i was surprised." Or something like that.
Yamaguchi, Daichi, Tsukishima, Tanaka, Kageyama during their tryouts. When Hinata hit thw ball with his eyes closed.
Oikawa, during their practice match with Aoba Johsai. Did you see his face when Hinata spimed the ball at him? He was clearly shocked. Hell he even had to pause before looking back at the vall, thats how shocked he was. Not to mentioned he said "Wow." While looking at him in awe, if you deny he was impressed then you're dead wrong.
The side characters who were watching the match were also shocked. "He came from the other side of the court, in a flash."
Kindaichi, also during their first practice match with Aoba Johsai, when Kagehina did their freak quick attack.
Coach Ukai and the Towns Team (i think it was, idk, i forgot) when Kagehina did their quick infront of them for the first time, Ukai was fr like "😨"
Nishinoya, Asahi, again, during the match between the Towns Team and Karasuno. Nishinoya even says, "That was amazing Shoyo!"
Coach Nekomata, Yamamoto, Inuoka, Yaku during their practice match against Karasuno. When Kagehina did the freak quick and the ball flew past the blockers. Lines: "Amazing speed, what the..." - Inuoka, "A fast attack from a place like that?" - Yaku, "What the heck was that? He wasn't watching the toss." - Coach Nekomata
Bokuto, Akaashi, and maybe Kuroo and Tsukki when Hinata purposely hit the ball towards their finger tips during training camp arc.
Kenma, during the same practice match. Hell he even had a whole slowmo and white background, like you might as well put roses in the back 'cause he was falling in love.
Background characters during the match between Karasuno and i forgot the name. "He's flying."
The team they were playing against during that match, they were also clearly shocked.
More background characters
Dateko, during their match with Karasuno when Kagehina did their quick attack.
Aone, Futakuchi again, + the coaches.
Karasuno's girl team
Konoha (i think??) And 2 other people from Fukurodani when they saw Kagehina quick attack during the practice match between Karasuno and i forgot team 2. "Hey, what the hell was that?", "That was so fast...", "Ive never seen a quick attack that fast."
Members of i forgot team 2 aswell, they were very clearly shocked. "Just you try, you won't know what to do!" Said by one of the team members to a member from Ubugawa.
Fukurodani + Kiyoko and Yachi + Ukai and Takeda when Kagehina did the new quick at the training camp.
I'm done listing off teams 'cause there's quite a lot. (Johzenji, Shiratorizawa, etc)
Back to non-teams, Izumi, Hinata's middle school friend, when Hinata firat did his high jump infront of him.
Akiteru, during the match with Shiratorizawa.
I think by now you get the point. If you dont, it's that the few "Hinata goes to a different school" au's that Ive read, don't describe peoples shock when the first see Hinata jump high, instead they treat it as if it's normal and go about their day. If a writer who is planning to make an au where Hinata goes to a different school sees this, please the team reaction when Hinata first jumps high infront of them!! If anyone has any au's about this, please give me lle the link🙏🙏

OKAY OKAY I have to finally express my thoughts about Kuro II after the rewatch
Me and Null agreed that episode 1 is just... a lot better than a lot of the characterization going forward. Despite the eye gouging (I cannot defend this. Alois is very mentally ill and needs to take it out on someone and I think he has misogynistic tendencies and self-hatred for his own femininity that he decides to hurt Hannah because of it) Claude was written more how he should have been the rest of the series-- stoic, annoyed, but ultimately showing glimpses of care or something adjacent for Alois.
Delete the filler episodes and add more Trancy house development in general.
Alois is a lot less malicious than I remember. Before the duel happens he's literally just going to show Ciel to the bathroom. He only tries to hurt Ciel when his life is on the line, and even then, he begs Ciel to try to understand him as he's dying.
NONE OF THE REVENGE STUFF MAKES SENSE!! WHY WOULD AN 11-YEAR-OLD ORDER THE DEATH OF THE PHANTOMHIVE FAMILY! Ciel is smarter than this! I know demons are charming but Ciel is an extremely smart kid and literally solves crimes every day. When Alois starts explaining things, you'd think that after the duel Ciel would actually try to process it before all the torture stuff happens. Also, why would that "arsonist" allegedly hired by Alois confess to it? Was Sebastian paying him off? We know none of this actually happened!
GOD Ciel's characterization is horrendous. He kills the alleged arsonist without remorse and then is prepared to kill Alois then, later on, is like "ugh I could never kill that easily" YOU JUST DID??????? Also, when he becomes a demon, he completely leaves his servants without any regard for their well-being despite them caring for him for three years. Even though he's a demon and such now, he's not going to change his personality like that. Sebastian was under orders by Ciel to find new staff, and instead of just hiring a really good cook, maid, and gardener who had defense experience or whatever, he took in three people who had nothing left but their abilities and showed them genuine kindness. It's debatable how much of the kindness was really Sebastian's but it stands that Ciel would not abandon his servants. At the very least, not Tanaka, who he's known all his life. He wouldn't do that to Lizzie or Soma or Agni either! He cares about all these people. So he and Sebastian are just wandering around flower fields forever? Why don't they just go back to Hell where Sebastian will still be his servant?
Another point with the demon thing: I fully believe that it was just done to pander to Sebac1el shippers (censoring so this doesn't come up in a search for the ship because that is the opposite of the goal here).
I forgot how creepy Claude was in the later episodes. There were parallels between him and previous Earl Trancy that should have served a stronger narrative purpose but just made it look like he was sexualizing the two boys.
There's only one scene that actually intends to make Alois' CSA feel disturbing, and it's when he's laying motionless in bed and saying how Trancy looks at him with hunger in a different way than Claude does. They were so close to the point! Also, one of the maze questions is about Alois pretending his trauma didn't happen so why do people insist he enjoyed his abuse?
When summoning Claude, why was none of the contract about getting away from Trancy???? "I don't care about that old pervert" YOU ARE BEING BRUTALLY ASSAULTED?? Sorry Alois would have def ordered Claude to kill him in my mind.
Every scene with Hannah, no matter how serious, portrays her in a sexual light and I HATE it.
WHY WOULD SCOTLAND YARD THINK THAT CIEL IS ALOIS. THEY HAVE WORKED WITH CIEL FOR YEARS.
The maze idea was cool but, again, executed poorly.
Grelle's characterization is better than Season 1 in terms of showing her skill.
The Hannah contract was still confusing after multiple watches and idk what was going on in that writer's room.
I think that's it for now but dear god. This series is so much. If all of Kuro II Tumblr was hired to write it then it would have been genuinely good

Title: Book Anime/Manga: Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) Pairing: O!Ciel x Elizabeth Word Count: 4.886 Summary: Elizabeth forgot one of her favorite romance books at her fiancé's mansion. After the Phantomhive Earl read it out of curiosity, he realized there are feelings and attitudes in the reading that he cannot comprehend, but does he truly not understand them or has he been avoiding admitting that he does?
Tumblr media
It was a typical day in the Phantomhive mansion. Mey-Rin was cleaning the silverware (with shoe polish), Finnian was trimming the greenhouse plants (more than he should have), Bard was trying to cook an old recipe (which ended up burnt), Mr. Tanaka was doing ‘the usual’, and Sebastian… well, he was taking care of the mess caused by the other servants.
Earl Ciel Phantomhive was in his study, reviewing various documents related to his duties as a count, as well as his role as the owner of the Funtom toy company, letters, invitations, and other matters. After two hours of intense concentration, he stretched and let out a long yawn. In the upper corner of his desk was the book "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde, which he had started reading some time ago. Although it was not a novel for someone of his age, the young master had to compete in an adult world, so it was important to stay up to date with literary works, no matter how dark they were. After reading for ten minutes, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," said the young master.
"Excuse me," responded Sebastian, his butler, as he walked towards the desk. "Young master, the activities for the afternoon are as follows," but before he could name them, the tall butler leaned in with curiosity to see what book his master was holding. "Hmm, 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. It's a somewhat crude reading, but it has been read throughout England. What do you think of it?" asked the butler.
"In my opinion, the ideal of achieving perfect beauty seems absurd," responded the young man sincerely. "However, it accurately reflects what happens in aristocratic society. They only talk nonsense about who ages worse and flatter the youth of the youngest while envying them behind their backs. The fate that awaits the protagonist will be the one he himself gradually built."
"I expected nothing less from you," said Sebastian, pleased with his master's response. He raised his gaze slightly. Another book was on the desk, but this one was not part of the adolescent's collection of books. "Forgive me for asking, but what about this book, young master?" he asked as he took the object in question in his hands.
"Ah, it's a book that Lizzy forgot the other day while we were reading. I remember she told me it had become one of her favorites," the young man closed his current reading, left it on the table and paid attention to the butler.
"Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen," Sebastian said aloud. After bringing his right hand to his chin and trying to remember where he had read that title before, he suddenly did. "Ah, I remember now. This title is indeed very popular among young ladies of the country. It is a romance novel that dates back to 1810. Would you like me to give you a summary?"
"Romance?" asked Ciel, with surprise and a hint of panic in his voice. However, after his reaction, he remembered that his fiancée was no longer ten years old, but fourteen. And with her age, her beauty became more apparent before his eyes. The young master tried not to think about it, but his youthful hormones had already begun to wreak havoc inside him. There were days when even a slight sweet aroma reminded him of her.
His perception of his fiancée had changed over time. When he returned to the mansion as Ciel Phantomhive, he found it difficult to see Elizabeth as anything more than a matter of diplomacy. But over time, his feelings had slowly blossomed. This caused curiosity from Sebastian since the young master never lost his composure, except when he was with her. The few genuine smiles he had seen on the adolescent and the sudden childish blushes were in those situations. Therefore, the butler could not help but curve the corner of his lips into a smile while planning a new way to tease the young master.
"Of course, young master. Lady Elizabeth is fourteen years old, it is natural for her to have an interest in such readings," responded Sebastian, while circling the young man's desk to admire his innocent expressions. "Does it intrigue you, my lord?"
"I-I do not read romance novels, Sebastian. Leave the book in the drawing room for when I see Lizzy again," the young master snapped while looking away, somewhat nervously.
"I understand, but wouldn't Lady Elizabeth be pleased if you read one of her favorite books? Besides, a count should be well-versed in all types of literature," Sebastian placed his index finger to his lips. He could see a slight blush on the young count's cheeks.
"I said no," the young master ordered firmly, turning his chair halfway around.
"Very well, my lord. I will leave it where requested," after clearing his throat, the butler recited the planned activities for the afternoon to the young master.
Night fell and after dinner, a thirteen-year-old boy was tired from his hard work as the Phantomhive mansion's count. Sebastian escorted him to his chambers, assisted him in changing into his nightwear, and departed as soon as the count's breathing grew heavy. After approximately half an hour, the young man opened his eyes, got up and left his room to the first floor. Not even the flutter of a butterfly could be heard. He quietly entered the drawing room, where Sebastian was supposed to have left the book, and approached the table.
It wasn't there.
He felt a presence behind him that made him shiver.
"Looking for this, young master?" asked his butler as he held Miss Elizabeth's book in his hands.
"SEBASTIAN!" shouted the young man, once again underestimating his butler. "Yes, I was looking for it, give it to me." he ordered as he snatched the book from Sebastian's hands. Sebastian couldn't help but laugh.
"D-don't laugh!" exclaimed the angry young man. Embarrassed, with the book in his hands, he headed to his room.
"Ah, humans are truly interesting," Sebastian said out loud while recovering from his laughter.
The next day, the young master yawned during his riding lessons, which made Sebastian stricter with him.
"Did the reading keep you up, young master?" asked Sebastian in a mocking tone, but slightly annoyed. "If it continues like this, I'll have to be even stricter," he said as he slapped the animal's thigh, causing it to run off with the count on its back.
"Sebastian! WAIT! NO! AAaahh…" shouted the count as he tried to control the horse that was galloping at full speed. Sebastian grinned, amused by taking advantage of the young master.
A couple of days later, the Phantomhive earl left his mansion for London to inspect the toy stores branches of his company, accompanied by Sebastian. As he walked down the street, he heard a familiar voice behind him:
"Ciel?" someone called. He turned around and saw that it was Elizabeth.
"Lizzy?" the young lady's face lit up, and she ran to meet him. The count instinctively closed his eyes, waiting for his fiancée's embrace. But it never came. Elizabeth stood in front of him, making a polite bow with her maid, Paula. He snapped out of it and made a bow along with Sebastian, with a strange sensation.
"I'm so glad to see you here. Do you have business nearby?" the young lady asked.
"I was attending to some company affairs, and you?" the count replied.
"I came to pick up a bespoke dress I ordered for tonight's ball, but I stopped by to see the new toys you've put in the stores. Will you go tonight?" the young lady approached the young man with curiosity. Her eyes shone with the hope of an affirmative answer.
"Yes, I will. Moreover, I will come to fetch you before nightfall." The young master hated balls. He was as stiff as a tree branch, but he knew they were necessary for making new connections and, besides, his fiancée would be there. After hearing the count's reply, his fiancée's face lit up.
"Really? I can't believe it, how wonderful," she exclaimed, clapping her hands. "I'll get very pretty for you, Ciel." Inside, the young man wanted to tell her that she was always pretty, but he didn't. Between his bold thoughts and his fiancée's words, a small blush formed on the count's cheeks. Of course, Sebastian noticed it, but said nothing. Before the count could say anything, the young lady exclaimed:
"Oh! Ciel! Did I happen to leave a book at your mansion? I haven't seen it in days, and I remembered that I visited you recently." Lizzy looked up at the sky and took her chin with her right hand in a thoughtful expression. The young lady didn't dare ask if he had read the book, as she didn't think it would be to her fiancé's liking.
"Yes, you left it at the mansion, I was planning to give it to you today at the party," the young man replied.
"Great! Well, we have a lot to do with Paula before tonight's dance. See you, Ciel!" Elizabeth exclaimed effusively, taking Paula by the arm, leaving.
"Well, that was strange," Ciel said, voicing his thoughts aloud.
"Was it because she didn't jump on you as usual?" the butler asked, with a hint of jest. The young master sighed, adjusted his hat, and continued his way, confirming the butler's suspicions.
The evening was falling as the Count Phantomhive headed to the Midford’s mansion in his carriage. He was wearing one of the suits that Nina had tailored for him some time ago. While looking out of the window, Sebastian broke the silence.
"Young master, what did you think of Miss Austen's novel?" he asked, intrigued by the Count's response. The butler held Miss Elizabeth's book in his hands.
"I found it to be foolish," the young man snapped as he crossed his arms. "It's just a fantasy for women who aspire to marry an aristocratic nobleman who doesn't exist, keeping their hopes up. That doesn't happen in real life," he asserted as his right hand drifted through the air.
"And what do you think of Mr. Darcy?" the butler asked in response to such a statement. The Count was a very interesting human being, and Sebastian never missed an opportunity to learn from his behaviour.
"I find it ridiculous that Darcy abandoned his commitment for a commoner," the Count tilted his head to one side, "I mean, he had everything. A good life, studies, education, and he decided to throw it all away. It's stupid," the young man said as he closed his eyes in disgust. Sebastian looked at him with curiosity.
"Do you think feelings are foolish?" Sebastian asked to the air while arching an eyebrow. The Count opened his eyes and looked at his butler.
"Yes, they are. They interfere with the right decisions," he said firmly. Sebastian snorted. He knew that his master was telling the truth, but his actions in his life said otherwise. He had decided to stay with Snake, he had saved people on the brink of death, but above all, he had saved his fiancée more than once. He decided not to press the issue any further.
After some time had passed, they arrived at the Midford mansion. It was appropriate for the young aristocrats to pick up their fiancées to attend the ball. As he descended from the carriage accompanied by Sebastian, Elizabeth was waiting for them.
"Ciiiieeeeeel!" exclaimed the young lady effusively as she approached her fiancé. Just like the last time they had met; Elizabeth performed a small curtsy. "You look quite charming, Ciel." The young man wanted to compliment her on how beautiful she looked in her new dress, but, again, the words didn't come out as he noticed Elizabeth had not styled her hair into two pigtails as usual, but instead into a single bun pulled back. Loose curls fell down her shoulders and back. Sebastian noticed his master's surprise and smiled slightly.
"Miss Elizabeth, it's a pleasure to see you again," interrupted Sebastian before the young master could say anything while performing a bow. "Here is the book you left at the mansion during your last visit," the butler handed the book to the young lady.
"Oh! Thank you very much, Sebastian! Paula, please take it to my chambers," Elizabeth requested, while the maid took the book in her hands and curtsied.
"My dear nephew!" exclaimed the Marquess Midford, approaching and hugging his future son-in-law tightly.
"V-Viscount Midford, it's good to see you," said the young man trying to get out of the embrace.
"Dear!" retorted Frances, the young master's aunt. "Don't be rude," she scolded her husband. Behind her stood Edward, Elizabeth's older brother.
"Elizabeth, Aunt Frances, Edward, it's lovely to see you," the young man performed a bow to the family. Everyone was dressed formally for the party.
"Ciel," greeted Edward, crossing his arms.
"We're on time, but we'll need two carriages," said the aunt, indicating that it was time to depart.
"I'll go with Ciel!" exclaimed Elizabeth.
"A-and I'll go with Ciel too!" replied Edward. "I can't leave my little sister alone with him."
"I'll accompany them, Master Edward. I'll escort you to the party," said Sebastian while performing a bow.
"Very well," said Frances. "You'll come with us, Edward."
"WHAT?" protested the young man incredulously.
"Edward, don't be rude!" Elizabeth responded. The earl quickly exhausted his energy with his fiancée's family. Everyone had a such a unique personality. After the servants bid the family farewell in unison, the family and the couple boarded their respective carriages and departed.
Elizabeth and her fiancé were sitting together in the carriage, conversing about the events of the past few days. Despite his reserved demeanor, the young Earl always added interesting comments to the conversation and was paying close attention to every word his fiancée uttered. After all they had been through together on the Campania, they had learned to be more open and honest with each other.
Time flew by quickly. The Grenville mansion was located on the outskirts of London, so there was no need to stay at his second residence. The bright entrance dazzled guests as they arrived, contrasting with the dark colors that loomed in the sky. Once the Earl, his fiancée, and his family got out of the carriages, the butler approached the young master stealthily and whispered in his ear:
"Young master, please forgive my boldness, but an English gentleman should always praise his fiancée before a dance," the young man looked at him angrily.
"I already know," he snapped.
"The carriage will be waiting outside when you want to leave. I must go and take care of the mansion and ensure that everything is in order." Sebastian made a bow, bidding farewell to the family, got into the carriage, and left.
"Shall we enter, Lizzy?" said the Earl as he offered his arm to his fiancée. Elizabeth smiled.
"Delighted!" And so, they entered the grand mansion.
As expected, the salon was huge. A large chandelier hung from the ceiling, illuminating most of the room. Other lights and candles accompanied the illumination. The women wore striking and beautiful dresses of different designs and colors, while the men wore formal but elegant dark-colored suits. The live orchestra could be heard throughout the ballroom from behind the curtains, playing classic songs from that era, preparing to play the first dance songs. Elizabeth couldn't contain her excitement at such a scene, loving the pretty dresses and heels.
"Ah! It's so beautiful, Ciel," she said with excitement, her eyes shining as she brought her hands to her face in a charming way.
"Of course," the Earl said, although he hated balls. He wouldn't go if it were up to him, and if he had to go, he would like to be a flower in a vase. The real reason he had attended? During the Count Ridley's party in Brighton, which he had attended with Elizabeth, she expressed her desire for him to invite her to these types of events more often since he didn't do it regularly. The young man replied that he would consider it for the future. Nevertheless, he believed that it was a bunch of aristocrats saying useless things. And on the other hand, his coordination was terrible. He had dance lessons with Miss Maryerl every week, but he simply didn't like it. Even so, he had worked hard to improve, not only to dance with his fiancée but also to show that he was a true English gentleman to society and not be the laughingstock.
"To Aunt Ann, these parties were a delight," Elizabeth recalled with nostalgia.
"Yes, she was the center of attention at these parties," her fiancé replied, smiling slightly and nodding his head. "Shall we get something to drink, Elizabeth?" he suggested. As they headed towards the nearest table, the Earl came across a familiar silhouette.
"Lau?" the Earl exclaimed in surprise.
"Oh, Earl Phantomhive!" the manager of the Shanghai branch of the Kong-Rong Trading Company responded joyfully. He was, as always, accompanied by his "little sister," Ran-Mao, who nodded her head in greeting.
"What brings you here?" the Earl asked.
"Well, you know, business here, business there," the Chinese man commented with a melodic intonation.
"I see," the young Earl replied, looking around for familiar faces from the underworld.
"And she is… Ah! Miss Elizabeth! It's a pleasure to see you, you look splendid tonight," Lau said, bowing.
"Lau, Ran-Mao, it's nice to see you again," Elizabeth responded, bowing in return.
"New hairstyle? It looks excellent, I didn't recognize you," Lau noted.
"Y-yes, thank you for noticing," the young woman replied, touching the curls that fell on her shoulder. Ran-Mao approached to touch her curls out of curiosity. While Elizabeth talked with Ran-Mao about her dresses and the evening, Lau approached the Earl and whispered in his ear, "Young Phantomhive, take care of what's yours or it could be taken away. There are many young men in this room willing to dance with your fiancé tonight," Lau said in a teasing tone. The young Earl glared at him.
"Don't meddle in my affairs," he replied.
"Ah! There's that look, as expected of the Earl," Lau said, shrugging his shoulders. "It was a joke, a joke, don't take it so seriously, haha," the merchant laughed.
They were discussing business when the Earl Grenville arrived to welcome them.
"Earl Phantomhive! Mr. Lau! It's a pleasure to see you in my humble home," the host of the soirée said. "I hope you have a wonderful evening; I was waiting for your arrival."
"Thank you very much for the invitation," the Earl replied, bowing.
"Now that you have arrived, shall we begin the dance, don't you think? You are our special guest, could you do us the honor of performing the opening dance?" the young Earl froze like a stone. If he already didn't like to dance, it was worse in front of an audience. He could feel a small smile on Lau's face, but he didn't look at him, he had to remain polite. Besides, the Earl of the Phantomhive family had to live up to these requests. He felt Elizabeth's gaze on him.
"It would be an honor," the Earl replied.
"Marvelous! I'll go give the welcome speech, if you'll excuse me." The host walked away from them until he reached the stairs of the hall, where he greeted the guests and wished them a good evening. At the end of his speech, he announced that the opening dance would be performed by Earl Ciel Phantomhive. All the guests applauded and looked at him, who was near the entrance. The young man approached his fiancé, and as he extended a hand, he asked, "Lady Elizabeth, would you do me the honor of dancing with me?" His fiancé felt her heart racing with excitement.
"Delighted!" she replied enthusiastically.
The two young people made their way to the center of the ballroom to begin the dance. Although the earl tried to hide it, he was nervous. He had to show all the aristocrats there that he was competent enough to perform something as trivial as a dance. Still, in his head, he could hear and feel Sebastian judging him with a small smile, which annoyed him greatly. To get rid of these intrusive thoughts, he took a deep breath and gazed fixedly at his fiancée before bringing her close to his body. With his right hand, he encircled his fiancée's waist, while she placed her arm on his shoulder. His left hand took hers and raised it up. Elizabeth felt her fiancé's determined gaze on her and blushed with tenderness. As the music began, they both started dancing a beautiful waltz while they made their way around the circle of people surrounding them. Elizabeth seemed to float with excitement. She never took her eyes off her fiancé. They were almost the same height, so looking at him wasn't difficult, but she couldn't escape his gaze either. That deep blue eye and the patch that covered the eye that the flames engulfed three years ago. She had never wanted to ask him what had happened that day. She believed it was too painful to remember. She didn't deny that she had tried multiple times, but perhaps deep down, she feared knowing the truth.
The earl's decisive and precise steps made it seem like he had been dancing for years. Elizabeth knew her fiancé didn't like to dance, but she knew he was trying to appear as a man within society, before all the spectators' eyes. After all, she was also doing her part by not wearing heels. In fact, for brief moments, he seemed a bit taller than her.
They performed perfect turns and didn't bump into any guests. As the song changed tone, the guests began to join them in the waltz, with them in the center.
"I wish we could freeze time forever," the young woman thought.
After a final turn, the song ended with a sudden cut. All the guests applauded in amazement. The earl felt Edward's fierce gaze and the approval of his uncles. With one hand, he led his fiancée out of the dance circle.
"Earl Phantomhive, that was truly impressive," Lau said, applauding when the couple reached his side.
"This was nothing," said the earl smiling, but immediately excused himself and went outside to the patio. Elizabeth felt worried at such action, had she upset him again?
When the young man was outside, he touched the marble railing that overlooked the garden and let out a deep sigh.
"Ah… what a spectacle, everyone was gazing at us dancing, and Elizabeth… Elizabeth…" thought the Earl with flushed cheeks as he gasped for breath. He thanked the universe that Sebastian hadn't seen him in those moments of vulnerability.
"Ciel?" he heard Lizzy's voice behind him. "Are you okay?" The Earl quickly turned around.
"Ah! Lizzy! I'm sorry, I needed some fresh air," he said as he tried to control his ragged breath. His fiancée arrived at his side, leaned her lower back against the marble structure, and looked inside the mansion with a sad expression. The two fell silent as they calmed their breathing.
"I'm sorry for bringing you here, Ciel," the young woman commented to the air, smiling nervously, and looking at her hands, "I know it's not your thing, and you always agree to do what I say to make me happy," her bangs slowly covered her eyes. She knew her fiancé didn't like dancing, attending these stupid balls, or talking to aristocrats. She felt guilty. Every time she tried to cheer him up, she ended up putting him in an uncomfortable position. The Earl was confused, where had she gotten such ideas? He separated from the railing to look at her.
"Lizzy, look at me," the Earl ordered as he took one of her hands, "You don't bother me," the Earl responded, softening his features in his face, because he had hurt her with his reluctant attitude. He meant it. Yes, his fiancée's overwhelming energy and emotions could create chaos, and they could sometimes have some arguments, but he really appreciated everything she did for him. She was the light in the darkness in which he was immersed. "If I do something with you, it's because I really want to do it," the young man said sincerely. "Is that why you've been distant today? Because you think you are bothering me?" the young Earl asked.
"I-I—," the words wouldn't come out of the young woman's mouth. She tried to hold back her tears, but she couldn't help the drops that accumulated at the corners of her eyes. She hated herself for it because she knew Ciel didn't like weeping girls. "I always bring you problems, Ciel," she began to say, "I wanted you to see that I have matured, that I'm not a girl anymore. I don't want to keep bothering you, causing you problems, or even embarrassing you," oh, now the Earl understood. They both tried to make the other happy. He let out a sigh and brought his right hand to his fiancée's face. With his thumb, he wiped away the beautiful tears that were flowing from her emerald eyes.
"Lizzy, you don't cause me any problems, let alone embarrass me…" the Earl took the young woman's chin and made her look at him, "so you can keep being who you are, okay?" Elizabeth nodded. The Earl pulled out a handkerchief from his suit and gently wiped away the traces of tears. "Don't cry anymore, you'll ruin how beautiful you look today with that hairstyle," he said. Ah, he had said it. His fiancée always brought out his most vulnerable side.
"D-do you mean it, Ciel? Do you think I look pretty?" Elizabeth asked curiously, leaning closer to the young master's face. At such an action, he blushed.
"Of course, you look pretty, you always look pretty," the young man said without thinking. His own words made him blush even more. Ahh, again, he was grateful that Sebastian wasn't with him at that moment. He would surely laugh in his face. But he didn't want to think about his butler at that moment. He was with his fiancée after all. The person he would protect without hesitation.
"You make me so happy, Ciel," Elizabeth said seconds before hugging him tightly. Instead of staying still, the young man wrapped his arms around her and dropped his head on her shoulders. A feeling of tranquility invaded him.
They returned to the dance. The earl invited his fiancée to dance several times, even though his feet hurt from doing so. Elizabeth was exhausted. She danced and shared the whole evening with her fiancé and the other guests until Elizabeth's parents decided it was time to leave.
The carriages were waiting for them. As his fiancée's family headed to the carriage, the earl gently stopped his fiancée before she continued forward. Elizabeth turned around and looked at him directly.
"Lizzy, I must confess that I did read the book you left at the mansion," he said as he cleared his throat and looked out into the horizon.
"Really? I didn't expect you to read a silly romance book," Elizabeth responded.
"Is it one of your favourite books, am I mistaken?" the young man asked.
"Well, it is," Elizabeth said somewhat excitedly and embarrassed that her fiancé had read something like that. "What did you think of it?" she asked.
"It's nonsense," her fiancé replied.
"Fufu, I knew it, Ciel," she said with a small laugh. "It's not your type of reading at all!"
"No, it's not. However," the earl paused as he looked into her eyes. "I think after dancing with you tonight, I can understand Darcy's feelings for Elizabeth a little more," the young man said, smiling shyly. Usually, he was the one who blushed at his fiancée's displays of affection. But he was not someone who showed his love physically, but rather with actions and words. This was one of them. Elizabeth blushed at her fiancé's words.
"W-what do you mean, Ciel?" Lizzy brought her hands to her cheeks. Her fiancé sighed as he closed his eyes.
"May I escort you to the carriage, milady?" the earl asked politely, offering her his arm.
The Earl helped his fiancée into the carriage and said goodbye to the rest of her family. The carriage started moving and Elizabeth waved goodbye to him from the window. Sebastian was waiting for him with the carriage ready.
"How was your evening, milord?" asked Sebastian, bowing in greeting to his young master.
"Excellent," said the young Earl, smiling as he got into the carriage. Sebastian followed him.
The night was cool. During the ride, the Earl fell into a deep sleep, while a gentle waltz melody filled his mind. Sebastian noticed his young master was tired but had a soft and warm expression that would have produced tenderness if he wasn't a simple one hell of a butler.

*A/N: In one part, I mention Brighton's mansion. Please refer to the game Kuroshitsuji: Phantom & Ghost for further information. In my universe, that game is canon cause there is a lot of material for o!cielizzy XD. That's where I got o!Ciel's thoughts about taking Elizabeth to dance, hehe >w< (he says explicitly that he'll take consideration on Elizabeth's request).
Heyo~, hope you sweeties enjoyed this new chapter. OMG, I've been struggling for more than a week to finish this. It takes a lot of work to get into the minds of the character's creators (Yana Toboso). Of course, I can create situations in which we have already seen how a character reacts in canon in order to replicate their behavior in a similar way, but what happens when it's situations we haven't seen frequently, like a dance, the thoughts about a book, or deeper displays of affection from another character? (a.k.a. Elizabeth)?? I asked myself all that during this week. That's why I sincerely hope Ciel's attitude makes sense to you and that it didn't turn out as OOC (out-of-character) and, above all, that you liked it!
Please, leave a comment if you are so kindhearted;w; See you~

Hey! So um if you remember I made a request on your Danganronpa Thh ghost au if you could do sdra2 ghost au headcanons. If your still busy that's ok but if you forgot this is kinda like a reminder (Sorry of this sounds rude 😭)
Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry! I completely forgot. Also I got multiple requests for this and that is a foreign concept to me, I'm patting myself on the back for a job well done for the first one I guess.
I want to clarify - this one will be a little different than the other one. This will also be the last one of these I do until I play the third game. This isn't an x-reader. This is also going to be tricky considering the canon lore, so I'm kind of twisting it around instead of just throwing it all out completely. Have fun y'all.
- Danganronpa 2 Ghost AU - "They're Trapped."
Hi! Spoilers ahead. Also, just a big fat trigger warning in general.
When Makoto Naegi set out, against direct orders, to create the Neo World Program, he had good intentions. Rehabilitate the kids, even the questionable ones, to their original state. What he didn't expect were the files to get a little...weird. It didn't seem dangerous. At least, it wasn't until it was already too late.
The worst part is that Makoto would be rewarded with this transgression, this mistake. He outright refused to give the Hope Foundation the program, but when they took it by force, they realized why he hid it.
They were there. They weren't alive anymore, but that doesn't mean a whole lot in a fictional world made of binary coding. This is what they found.
Hajime Hinata is the only one that will greet you upon entering the Neo World Program.
When you first open your eyes on the beach, you'll see clear blue skies for miles, an ocean that looks and sounds just like the real deal, and a bundle of broken code flashing by the trees.
He's had the most sightings of all the students. If you're lucky, he'll even ask for your name.
If he's not there when you first wake up, then check the hotel. He can be seen walking around the cabins, hesitating on certain ones and letting his finger glaze over the mailboxes with their names on them.
His little friend is different. Much different.
9/10.
Izuru Kamukura is the same body with an incomplete personality.
He can be seen by the Ancient Ruins, pacing up and down the halls.
Sometimes he'll ignore you. Sometimes he's snippy and aggressive. He doesn't hurt anyone though, not anymore.
Many of us think that spirits don't want to ask us questions when in reality they just don't have that kind of energy to give anymore.
The Neo World Program flipped that logic on its head.
There was only one person that Kamukura actually talked to, and he asked him all kinds of questions. Who he was. What he was doing there.
Their meeting was solemn, but honest. He was quiet after that.
7/10, a mixed bag.
Gundham Tanaka pops from place to place, but the two main spots you'll find him are the Ranch and Strawberry House.
He's always alone, and he likes keeping it that way.
No animals have reported being around him - no animal noises in the glitches, or any mention of them in his code. Not even his hamsters.
At the Ranch, there are reports of the cows "brushing themselves". Bits of code surround the brush, as if he's specifically keeping the rest of himself hidden. These sightings are common though.
If all else fails, he wants you to know that the animals are taken care of.
There is one report. An anonymous employee went into Strawberry House and found his code in the Tower. They used a device mimicking a spirit box and could hear the constant click of his shoes.
Pacing in circles, and an occasional whistle of an unfamiliar tune. 10/10, harmless and is actually pretty helpful all things considered.
Peko Pekoyama has never been seen once, but it's known that she stays in the Beach House.
When they approached the building, they thought someone was already inside due to the footprints in the sand going in the door. The Beach House was completely empty.
She'll play the flashlight game. She's unresponsive to the spirit box.
The employee decided to wait until the night cycle kicked in, turned out the lights, and sat in the main room quietly.
They didn't hear much, but they did enjoy the quiet. Listening to the wind chimes and the ocean helped them meditate and stay calm in a time that a regular ghost hunter would be depressed about the lack of evidence collected.
After they were done they gave an audible warning before packing up to go, figuring that they weren't getting anything.
It turns out that the Beach House is the only place in the island that gives you a sense of peace. It wasn't programmed to give this atmosphere.
10/10, super chill.
Ibuki Mioda...has not changed at all. She bounces from place to place, but her sightings are mostly in the music venue.
You name it, it has happened in this building.
Equipment turning on by itself, speakers blasting scrambled rock music, something falling from the rafters in the ceiling, etc, etc, etc.
She does everything. She loves the flashlight game. The spirit box became redundant when they figured out that whenever it was in the music venue it would blast rock music. She's spoken through Ouijia Boards with specific messages. She even talks about executions and murders that she's witnessed.
Do you think a ghost could effectively haunt a music venue better? No, you don't. It's Ibuki Mioda.
8/10, somehow the loudest ghost ever.
Teruteru Hanamura is in the kitchen in the old building. There's no record of him ever moving from the old building at all, much less leaving the kitchen.
He's pretty quiet - unless you're a woman.
He reacts to men, but they've never gotten a response on the spirit box with them. He'll turn lights on and off and knock things over.
If you're a woman, there's not more physical activity but he will definitely talk.
He loves to talk. He answers every question that he can. He talks about his mother and her diner, the terror he felt from being stuck on this island with no rhyme or reason, his regret of killing the Imposter instead of Nagito.
He has absolutely no idea who he really is.
His code proves it. Could you imagine the Hope Foundation's reaction to Naegi's and Alter Ego's code actually working?
When asked if he'd ever leave the kitchen, he refused.
"I can't face them...not after what I did."
9/10, very helpful but prepare for emotional damage.
Sonia Nevermind is in the library on the second island.
They weren't able to get her on any devices. Nothing happens when people are in the room.
One of the employees got the idea to leave a camera and a tape recorder rolling there while they explored the rest of the island.
When they came back the tape recorder had been turned off and the camera had been glitched to stop recording about ten minutes in.
In those ten minutes, there was an orb accompanied with code glitches passing through the top corner of the frame. The tape recorder had been recording for two minutes, and all the heard was the sound of someone breathing.
That same employee spent the night in the library alone and they decided to bring a film camera so nothing could be corrupted.
They woke up multiple times throughout the night to sounds of books dropping, a girl crying, and what sounded like mice squeaking. These were later reported as hamster sounds.
The film camera had been set on a timer to go off every hour and take a picture. Only two pictures had something off - one had a dark shadow in the corner and the other was a picture of a mangled wall of binary code. It was translated later.
"Let us out."
8/10, spooky as shit but now we know where the hamsters went.
Akane Owari was last seen by Chandler Beach.
According to many employees, Akane tends to wander. She's never been seen in the same spot twice.
Many have tried to lure her out by coding smells of food to appear, but to no avail. She knows it's not real - she can't eat anymore.
Once she was caught on the spirit box in the hotel restaurant. It picked up sounds of chewing along with weird grunts of frustration. Another time she was in the beach house, making the window in the shower room rattle.
There's not a lot to note about her. She tends to keep to herself and avoids the Hope Foundation employees at all costs.
The only really significant finding happened in the hospital, in her old sick room. Sometimes the lights flicker, and the IV's will start to operate and show a heartbeat despite not being hooked up to a person. An employee was able to quietly play the flashlight game with her, asking simple questions about her and her life.
5/10, quiet but not very helpful.
The Imposter is still in the old building.
They're similar to Akane in the sense of not really interacting all that much, tending to stick to themself and haunt the old building alongside Teruteru.
The few times they did get them to interact were...interesting, to say the least.
They don't seem bothered by the fact that their murderer is literally a room away. "He did what he had to do." Fair enough.
One employee brought a knife to the building - all of their technology went wild; the tape recorder only got bits and pieces of loud static that wasn't there in real time, their flashlights went out, the spirit box wouldn't even turn on, etc. One of the cameras actually burst into flames.
That employee ended up throwing the knife out the door. Everything calmed down almost immediately.
6/10, whatever the fuck you do, don't bring a weapon.
Hiyoko Saionji is consistently found in the hotel restaurant.
She's occasionally been heard at the music venue as well, but the restaurant is her go-to.
She doesn't like the spirit box, but she loves the flashlight game. She will play that puppy all night.
When asked why she stays here of all places, the flashlights go quiet before they start flashing in a pattern.
It seems that she has an affinity for morse code.
"It's where big sis is."
One of the flashlights rolled over to a specific spot in the restaurant, by one of the walls. Right by where Mahiru's shrine used to be.
8/10, harmless but big ow.
Kazuichi Soda hasn't been seen by anyone. But he has been heard.
It is nearly impossible to track this motherfucker down.
They looked everywhere - the airport, the military base, the plushie factory, everywhere that they could think of.
It wasn't until an employee mentioned that he was close friends with Hajime that they got an idea. They set up some equipment with sensors around the hotel and waited.
When they looked at the footage later, there seemed to be more than one student there. They even overheard bits of a conversation on the spirit box:
"How's...oking today?"
"Nice and quie...ople seem to be comin...more and...though."
"...isn't...urprise. They seem to...help."
"...hat a joke."
10/10, quiet and looking out for the others.
Nekomaru Nidai has been seen twice - once in Strawberry House, and once by Chandler Beach.
Large flashes of code were seen in the tower elevator by the spot where he died by two witnesses. They tried to set out equipment to recreate this phenomenon, but it never happened again.
He likes the flashlight game. He hates the spirit box.
Funny enough, it seems like he can't recall a lot of his time as Mechumaru. He remembers taking the blast for Akane, and his last battle with Gundham. That's it.
The other time by the beach was also an accident, but there wasn't one flash of code - there were two.
The witness swears that it was Nekomaru and Akane, but they didn't hear anything. It seems that they were both simply enjoying each other's company for a while before going back to being restless spirits.
8/10, a little helpful but otherwise stays out of the way.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu can be found around the Beach House, but his most frequented spot is the diner.
Surprisingly enough, he's very interactive with the employees of the Hope Foundation. He uses the spirit box, he plays the flashlight game, etc.
He's even been seen in both code form and on an infrared sensor. He's had full conversations through the spirit box.
There was only one time he wasn't present, and when the employee assigned to him went looking, they felt drawn to the Beach House.
The power had been cut a long time ago, but they could still hear the faint sound of music while inside, along with some wind chimes. That sense of peace from before seemed amplified, growing into a feeling of joy.
When they turned on the spirit box, they could hear a whispering conversation between a male and a female with occasional laughter.
For one night a year, on the day Peko Pekoyama died, they're together again. 10/10.
Mahiru Koizumi is...everywhere?
She didn't get to see the rest of the islands like her classmates.
You know she's there when you hear a camera click and you're not actively taking photos. Sometimes she turns on the spirit equipment, effectively draining the batteries before they even start setting up.
She doesn't talk on the spirit box, but she'll do anything that's quiet. Dowsing rods, the flashlight game, etc.
She's picky about talking to guys, but gals and nonbinary pals? She's game.
When an employee mentioned Hiyoko Saionji, it got really quiet.
"Turn on the flashlight if you miss her."
Click.
9/10, minus one for ow factor.
Nagito Komaeda haunts the Ancient Ruins alongside Kamukura.
There's one rule; don't turn off the lights. Nobody has had the guts to try to break it.
Every room in that "school" has had something happen in it. Chairs have been thrown against the walls, tables knocked over, to try and break the coding he's trapped in.
Glass vases have been shattered, anything that's been on a table had been knocked over before, etc. There have been instances of an employee hearing the breaking of a glass vase that they put somewhere, going to check on it, and finding it completely intact, still on the table they left it on.
The employees that try to stay there for a full twenty-four hours never complete it. The longest completed run was sixteen hours.
The plan was simple; get there at ten AM, collect as much evidence as possible while taking shifts on sleeping, and leave at the same time the next day. The daytime was pretty mellow, with the occasional bang and crash recorded and not much else.
Once nighttime hit, it was a whole other ball game.
The two decided to stay in one of the classrooms with a lamp on, the overhead lights off, and the door closed. Screeches and cackling echoed off the walls, followed by intense sobbing. The employee that was asleep woke up from the feeling of choking, which was then confirmed by the bruises left behind around his throat. They wanted to stay, but, when the bulb in their lamp exploded, they decided against it.
1/10, fuck you and your temper tantrum.
Mikan Tsumiki floats around the third island, but she's seen the most at the Hospital.
An unnerving energy has since filled the building, with many if not all of the employees refusing to go inside.
If you're lucky, you'll see her from the corner of your eye. That's the most she's ever let herself be seen.
Sometimes the lights flicker without cause. The windows rattle and the glass cracks, as if someone tried to punch it.
Crying can be heard throughout the building at night. Sometimes there are screams. If you turn on the spirit box though, it gets interesting.
If you listen very closely, you can hear her whispers and rambling. She talks to herself.
She'll mutter medical knowledge, dates and times, names that were important to her - a little bit of everything.
She won't answer any direct questions, only Yes and No. She likes the Ouija board. One time an employee asked about Hiyoko and the planchet flew across the room.
5/10, do not interact if you are Hiyoko. Just don't.
Chiaki Nanami is nowhere and everywhere all at once.
Bits of her code fly around all of the islands, as if searching for something.
As an AI that was created to protect the students, she is the program. A memory that all of them had, and one that all of them wanted to see again.
If there's a direct Hope Foundation representative present, she will not interact. However, she seems to enjoy the company of the regular employees; maybe she relates to them more.
She likes big, open spaces; don't try to talk to her in a tight space, like a closet, because you'll get nothing.
Her favorite is the Ovilus box, since she can directly speak through it without too much effort.
Her physical form has only been seen once.
On one of the early mornings where an employee was out completing the night shift, the run began to rise where the waves crashed against each other before settling to the sandy shores of the beach. When they looked over to admire the view of the albeit-fake sunrise, two figures shielded by shadow caught their eye.
They claimed it looked as if a girl was there, waiting, when a boy came and scooped her up into a big hug. It was later confirmed that the descriptions matched Chiaki Nanami and Hajime Hinata.
10/10, she's finally home.
I hope you all enjoyed this, it was so hard to make! Thank you for your patience :)

chapter 4: nekoma
//just realized i forgot to post this part before posting chapter 5 lol//
Last week, Mr. Takeda had informed the team that he had managed to secure a practice match with the Nekoma High School volleyball club. This was something that caught even Coach Ukai by surprise, and ever since the news their practices had been more intense. The practice match was highly anticipated amongst the boys. Karasuno and Nekoma used to be huge rivals despite their distance. The two teams hadn't played in five years, so they were excited to see what the other team had to offer. Hinata and Kageyama were excited to show off their crazy quick attack, while the team was still helping Asahi find his consistent confidence to swing through and not worry about the other team.
You sat next to Kiyoko on the bus, and made pleasant conversation with her before leaning your head against the window to rest your eyes. Before you knew it, you had arrived in Tokyo.
"Woah, is that Tokyo tower?!" Hinata yelled excitedly. Looking up to see what he was talking about, you saw a regular electrical tower. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi snickered at him and you couldn't help but laugh at his stu- obliviousness. The two watched you laugh, and couldn't help but think it was sort of endearing. Even Tsukishima, with his cold heart of stone, felt a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach as he gazed at the girl in front of him. Soon enough, the feeling went away, and he pulled his headphones back on to play his music louder.
The team approached Nekoma, where the other team was waiting outside. You happened to go along with the coaches and Kiyoko, so you managed to avoid the weirdly aggressive stares and tension between the two teams as they sized each other up.
You set the water bottle carriers down near one of the benches, before emerging back outside a little after Kiyoko had left.
When you got outside, there was a little bit more conversation going on. Daichi was in a conversation with who you assumed to be the captain of the other team, though their grins seemed tense and strange. Hinata was animatedly talking to another player, who had seemingly dyed his hair blond at one point before letting it grow out. One of their players made a remark about Kiyoko, and to you he seemed very similar to Tanaka.  Speaking of Tanaka, he was defending Kiyoko to the other guy, you found out his name was Yamamoto. He had a strip of blond running over his head and in all honesty looked kind of goofy. It seemed that he wouldn't take his attention off of the other manager, that was until a certain someone opened his loud mouth.
"We have another manager too! How does it feel to not even have one?" Nishinoya taunted, sticking his tongue out. At that, Yamamoto's eyes widened in disbelief. You hadn't noticed what exactly was happening then, talking with Kinoshita and Narita.
"No way. You're lying!" he yelled. Karasuno having not one, but two managers when Nekoma didn't even have one just seemed entirely unfair and impossible.
"Just look, she's right there!" Noya pointed over at you. Yamamoto's gaze followed his finger to your figure, smiling brightly at the two second years you were talking to. You managed to pique his interest (though it seemed like that would have been the case if it was any girl). Before anyone could react or do anything, he was making his way over to you. Tsukishima caught this out of the corner of his eye, and from his spot watched Nekoma's ace quickly advancing towards you.
In the middle of answering Kinoshita's question on whether you were a dog or cat person, you felt an enthusiastic tap on your shoulder. Turning to face the tapper, you saw the guy with the blond stripe.
"Hey, I couldn't help but notice you from over there" which unbeknownst to you wasn't even true, since you literally had to be pointed out to him, "you're very cute, totally a goddess-in-training" he flirted.
You were too stunned to respond initially. Did he actually just say that? Kiyoko is a goddess, so you're a goddess-in-training? You didn't know if you should be offended or amused. If you weren't slightly uncomfortable. The guy was honestly harmless, but you were having a nice time talking to your team before the interruption.
"Leave her alone before the goddess in training smites you" Tsukishima chided from his spot. You didn't think he was even paying attention, after all he still had his headphones on. Yamamoto gave him a strange look, before Tanaka and Noya quickly pounced on him, relieving you of the unwanted boy.
"Yeah, back off of our manager city boy!" Tanaka yelled. They continued their buffoonery before Daichi and the Nekoma captain pulled them apart. Clearly it was about time for everyone to go into the gym and start warming up. You had the privilege of dragging Noya in while Daichi had hold of Tanaka.
-----
The teams were all huddled around Ukai, and before breaking to play you wished each of the starters good luck. Hinata had literal stars in his eyes when you told him to do his best. The other players lined up in front of the bench. You stood next to Tsukishima, who would go in for Nishinoya when Hinata made it to the back row to serve. When that time came, you put both of your hands up for a double high-five. He have you a deadpan look for several seconds, and you were convinced he wouldn't respond. Then, he high-fived you before subbing in. You silently wished him good luck before standing back to watch Hinata serve.
Karasuno had won the very first point with the fast-developing quick attack. From then on, it was a close fight, both sides occasionally making errors. Your team wasn't able to come out on top this time for several factors, though one was Hinata still figuring out his strategies beyond the freak quick. You had just given up to many points for reasons that could be improved upon with practice.
Though Nekoma had won all three sets, the boys weren't discouraged. Coach Ukai had given them a quick speech about what they could practice on and where the team would go from here.
Deciding to cement your role as manager, you called for their attention. Normally you didn't get nervous, but having the undivided attention of everyone on the team did make you feel pressure. Kiyoko placed her hand on your shoulder, encouraging you to go on. You gave her an appreciative smile before turning back to the boys.
"You guys played amazing. Even if we didn't win this time, I think it's clear that this match helped us learn. Now that you know what you can work on, you guys will be unstoppable. I'm happy I can be along for the ride with you!" you smiled. Tanaka and Noya had tears in their eyes from your 'speech'.
"Our little manager is so awesome!" Noya cried. Suga came and hugged you, happy for your bare minimum pep talk.
You were glad that you had decided to become a manager all things considered.

Don't underestimate him, oikawa. He's a different man now
Breathe, yama, just breathe, and hit the ball, don't chicken out...
hhhHHHH- OMG YES YES YES!! IT WAS IN LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!! HE DID IT HE DID IT!
OMG HE FUCKING GOT IT! Nothing feels better than finally succeeding after failing so many times
GSAP AWWW TSUKI! He's believed that yama could do it the whole time. Another point for the ship
Omg wait, it finally clicked why enoshida was the one to defend yama all those episodes ago, CUZ HE GETS IT, HE UNDERSTANDS WAT ITS LIKE TO RUN AWAY, FUCK. I love this anime

COME ON, CROWS, JUST ONE MORE POINT!
FUCK- this is like the match they lost to seijo all over again...
Oh yeah, if aoba johsai loses this, this would be oikawa's and the rest of their 3rd years last match. I didn't even consider that... If karasuno wins, oikawa's never gonna have that final rematch against shiratorizawa..... Fuck, now I'm conflicted over who should win rn
HHHH FUUUUCK- idk if oikawa's gonna hit it, this show has subverted my expectations before...
OMG NOYA! Holy shit that could snap someone's neck off wtf. Forget about mad dog, that could legit give you a concussion
Shit, 27-26, seijo only needs one more point
God i want karasuno to win this, to get revenge for their lost before. BUT I ALSO WANNA SEE SEIJO VS SHIRATORIZAWA. I'm still rooting for karasuno, but HHHHH
HHHH MY ANXIETY CAN'T HANDLE THIS! FUUU- they lost. Shit, ok I don't think karasuno's gonna be able to win 3rd set... BUT I STILL BELIEVE! Even if I'm a lil conflicted, I still want karasuno to win
God, noya and tanaka just one the best hype man duo
3rd set, the one that'll dictate it all

DAICHI'S P.O.V.
"We looked all over the first and second floor," Sakusa, the pirate, and Atsumu who is dressed as 'pirate's gold', tell me when they return back to the main room on the first floor.
"What were you two doing up there for so long?" Kageyama asks.
"Nothing," Atsumu replies, a bit too quickly.
"I bet they were hooking up," Oikawa, who has asked me to refer to him as 'Rose', chuckles.
I sigh as I sit down beside Y/N who is still attempting to comfort Yachi. "How's she feeling?" I ask her.
"She's about to fall asleep," she whispers back to me.
"And how about you? Are you holding up alright?" I then ask.
"Not really. It's just... I don't know."
"If it's any comfort, I know that you didn't do it."
She grins a bit shyly as she looks up at me. "Well, we were together the whole time."
"Yeah," I respond, looking her over.
"I can't believe this happened," she then sighs as he places her head down on my shoulder.
"Neither can I," I say, trying to sound sympathetic. "It's hard to process, but we'll make it through this together."
"Kiyoko was a really good friend. I never would have thought that someone could have done this to her..."
A few moments later, Yamamoto and Noya come in towing Tanaka at their side. I stand up and walk over, Y/N following behind after laying Yachi down on the couch to sleep.
"Well?" I call out to Tanaka. "Care to explain where you have been?"
"It wasn't me!" he immediately responds, stepping forward. "I didn't do anything! You have to believe me!"
"Jesus, way to make yourself look worse," Y/N scoffs as she approaches him. "Having outbursts like that won't help your case. I saw you in there with Kiyoko. And it's strange. Especially knowing that she'd never crawl back to your slimy ass again."
"Woah, at least give him a chance to explain, Y/N," I say, taking her by her hand.
"I will," she says, turning her gaze up to meet mine. "After I get my chance first."
"Well, I-" Tanaka begins, but he's cut off.
"I'm the one who was with him," Yamamoto says, stepping in front of the other man. "I saw him walk out of the room. I could hear Kiyoko's voice call out to him but he just kept walking."
"Bullshit. Like Tanaka's desperate ass would actually be the one to walk away," Y/N snorts.
"That does track..." I begin to nod along with what Y/N is saying. Everyone knows about their long history together... and not together.
"Actually, it was because I had just proposed to Kiyoko and she'd turned me down. So, I stormed out without looking back."
"That sounds more believable," Oikawa nods, trying to hold in a laugh.
"What a piece of shit," Y/N scoffs.
"What the hell is your problem with me anyway?" Tanaka barks. "I only just met you tonight!"
"In person," she rolls her eyes. "But I've been hearing stories about you for years! Besides, how come your friend Yamamoto came back downstairs without you and didn't bother to bring this up before?"
"Well," Yamamoto mutters, glancing down at the floor. "I guess I just... forgot."
"I think Y/N might be onto something," I say, placing my free hand on the small of her back.
"Seriously?" Noya speaks up now. "Are you sure you're not just taking her side because the two of you fucked a few minutes ago? It couldn't have been that good, Daichi."
"Shut the hell up," I snap back, clenching my fists. "You should watch yourselves or people are going start thinking things!"
"I'm pretty sure it's a little too late for that anyway," Yamamoto grumbles, joining the conversation too.
"What did you just say?" Noya glares at his friend.
"Guys, we can't let this get to our heads. We need to focus on solving this murder. Let's go back to the conversation at hand," Sugawara then interrupts from his position listening in.
In the end, the group comes to an agreement that it most likely wasn't Tanaka. The poor guy is too busy crying his eyes out anyway to have actually killed anyone. But, if it wasn't Tanaka who did it, when who was? Tanaka certainly had no idea.
While the group begins to start pointing fingers at one another for the most idiotic of reasons, I notice Bokuto stand up and follow Oikawa out of the room. Not too long after, Saeko slips away quietly as well. I understand not wanting to deal with this, but where could they possibly be going?
ATSUMU'S P.O.V.
I don't think I've ever been this confused about anything before. And, to be honest, I've never had to deal with an actual murder before so it's all quite new to me. I end up pulling Osamu and Sakusa away to talk to them about what they think about all of this.
"Do you really think it was Tanaka?" I ask them as soon as the three of us are alone in one of the second-floor bathrooms.
"No, but what other choice do we have? I don't want to be one of those assholes down there pointing fingers at everyone else," Osamu responds.
"Well, if that's what it's going to come down to then I do think it's a bit weird how quietly Daichi agreed to take on the role of lead detective and Semi didn't," Sakusa adds.
"That's right. Daichi's only a street cop. Semi's a private investigator," Osamu hums in agreement.
"I didn't know Semi was a PI," I say, looking at the two of them.
"I don't think many other people realize it either, but he is," Sakusa tells me. "He's worked with some of the biggest names in the city, which is probably why he's being quiet. Maybe he's trying to gather more evidence."
"It's weird he didn't agree to help though. Do you think there's something he knows that the rest of us don't?" I suggest.
"I'm not sure. I don't think it was him though. He's got that one girl, his girlfriend, with him the whole time." Sakusa tells us.
"I don't think it's him either. Shit, I could really use a fucking drink," Osamu then groans.
"You guys seem really sure of yourselves," I nod. "I'm glad you're both here. I feel a bit better now knowing that Semi-"
"You know what," Sakusa then says, interrupting me, "I could use a drink, too. Let's go."
Before I even get the chance to say I'll go with them, they both walk out of the room. "Hey, wait up!" I yell, running after them.
"We're heading to the kitchen," Sakusa says. "Can you let the others know where we are so they don't get too suspicious?"
"Yeah, o-okay," I gulp as I stop in my tracks. I can tell when I'm not wanted. I just hope they're not getting suspicious of me.
ASAHI'S P.O.V.
Needing a break from the group, I walk outside to finally have some time to be alone when I spot Saeko down on the sand talking to herself. I decide to get closer and listen in, not wanting to intrude, but also being very curious.
Just then, Tanaka approaches her, and I decide to duck down between bushes to eavesdrop.
