Experimental/Healing Tank Example Scenes:
Devil Jin (Tekken; from Dragunov's T5DR ending)
Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul; fanart with Hide watching him)
Kafka Hibino (Kaiju No. 8; manga)
Marcy Wu (Amphibia; screengrab)
Mewtwo (Pokemon; TCG illustration)
The former image was what caused me to get into images & scenarios involving experimental/healing tanks. Usually, healing tanks speed up recovery, but experimental tanks are often used for stuff I probably don't wanna explain here. Still, those types of tanks are commonly used in my SXT (Scenario X-Type) stories, usually in story elements involving someone recovering from intense pain or wounds. 🤗🤗🤗

i didnt realize that Hwoarang has this cute hairstyle in T5DR
it would be cool if this hairstyle can reappear in T8 as Hwoarang's exclusive hairstyle for customization

Now this is an experimental tank. Devil Jin ended up in it in Dragunov's T5DR ending. And unfortunately, Devil Jin was shocked harshly in it. Why would my demonic sweetie have to go through such a harsh measure like this??? 😥😥😥
Even cute li'l Kiwi (from Rainbow Chicks; in GIF) would find that harsh. (But because he's Kiwi, 😘💚😘💚😘)

Unofficial Tekken Character Theme OST - Lili - Pink Pop
The Rochefort Princess - Emilie "Lili" de Rochefort
The stage more than the theme reeks of Lili am I right. This pretty much is her stage in her debut game Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. I did consider TTT2's Fontana di Trevi but very briefly.

legacy Tekken characters: who’s left?
Tekken has had a bunch of characters over the years. And there are two more unannounced ones coming to Tekken 7 sometime next year. Who could be coming?
Here are all the characters that were in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 who aren’t in Tekken 7. TTT2 was not *quite* a definitive collection of all Tekken characters so far, but it was really close.
Let’s break them down into groups.
Clones
Christie: cool character story-wise, but she’s got almost exactly Eddy’s moveset.
Forest Law: Marshall’s son. Very similar, slightly simpler moveset.
Miharu: Xiaoyu’s friend. Almost exactly the same moveset.
Prototype Jack: Just Jack, but worse.
Sebastian: Lili’s butler. Similar moveset, more like her T5DR incarnation.
Slim Bob: just Bob, but Slim.
Tiger: Basically just Eddy with platform shoes and an afro.
I’d be extremely surprised if any of these characters take the remaining two slots. It seems like it’d be a huge wasted opportunity. I like Christie, though; it would be cool if she was introduced as a palette swap of Eddy.
Mimics
Combot: Pure mimic in Tekken 4. In TTT2, you can customize Combot to have exactly the moves you want from basically any character in the game!! This is absurdly OP (in part because your opponent cannot know your moveset ahead of time) and not allowed in competitive play.
Mokujin: Randomly selects a character from the game to mimic, each round. Playing Mokujin is the sickest thing possible, because it says “eh, I’m fine, I can play any character in this game”.
Either of these would be a weird choice, with only two slots left. Maybe they’ll *additionally* add Mokujin, because that would be wonderful.
Characters that have been replaced or remixed
Bruce: remixed into Josie. Probably the most likely of this bunch to come back, since he’s substantially different, and he’s got a lot of fans.
Michelle: Julia/Jaycee’s mom. Very similar moveset.
Raven: Remixed into Master Raven. She’s extremely similar, but a cooler/more unique design.
Out of these, I guess we could see Bruce?? …
Old boss characters
Ancient Ogre/True Ogre: The boss of Tekken 3, and True Ogre was the sub-boss of TTT2. Sick designs for both versions of Ogre, very intimidating. Would be weird to come back, story-wise? But Ogre has a lot of fans, and he’s cool.
Jinpachi: Heihachi’s dad. Has a simple, Mishima-esque moveset, just without crouchdash moves. Kind of like Kazumi in this way. Also would be very strange to bring him back for a canon game, but I would love it.
Unknown: She’s a mimic in TTT1, always starting as Jun, but switching mid-round. In TTT2, Unknown is basically Jun, but with some supernatural extra-powered moves.
These are super possible additions, but would be odd from a story perspective. But! We already have guest characters, so whatevs.
Unique characters still missing
Alex/Roger Jr.: Boxing animals! Alex is a dinosaur and the Roger family are a bunch of kangaroos. Moveset derived originally from the old King/Armor King moveset, but it’s fairly unique now. Would be strange additions; do we need more animals?
Angel: ANGEL. In T2 and TTT1, she was a palette swap of Devil, so super good. In TTT2, she’s got her own moveset, which is basically Devil Kazuya with a few Devil Jin things and a handful of new moves, but she’s super bad, which is unfortunate because I love Mishimas and she’s got a nice design, visually.
Baek: Hwoarang’s teacher and father figure. Has a fairly different moveset, but Hwoarang inherited a fair number of his moves.
Dr. Bosconovitch: Got a completely new moveset for TTT2! Basically a joke/troll character, meant to upset people. But he’s got very charming animations.
Ganryu: Every game needs a sumo character. Really unique moveset. Doesn’t share much with too many other characters. Almost certainly a Tier 3 sub to Julia’s stream.
Jun: Jin Kazama’s mother and probably Asuka’s aunt! Some people say that (a) she’s dead, or (b) she’s a clone of Asuka. And it’s true that Asuka is a remix/replacement of the earlier Jun moves, but Jun got a substantially reworked moveset in TTT2. It’s much more rushdown than Asuka. Also she’s graceful, calm, elegant… uh, which Asuka is not.
Kunimitsu: She started out as a clone of Yoshimitsu, and shares some of his Manji-style moves, but in TTT2 she got a substantially reworked moveset. Really fun to play. And cute. Does badass ninja moves.
Wang: Super unique moveset, with one of the best parries in the game. Shares some moves with Michelle/Julia for historical reasons, but he’s quite different. I feel like Leroy could plausibly be a remix of Wang, but we don’t know yet!
I think this is the most likely group of characters to come back. Out of these, I think… Kunimitsu, Wang (if Leroy isn’t based on him), Ganryu and Jun are the most likely.
Maybe we’ll see Jun released as the very final character and she’ll be like “I’m not dead, binches!!” and this will segue us nicely into Tekken 8, in which the Kazamas try to finally defeat Devil/Kazuya? …
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. What do you think?

Craig Marduk is here at episode XXX. He's in a similar boat as Steve and Christie. All 3 of the fighters debut it T4. So like them, Craig's story is pretty short and simple. Craig is a powerful, large Vale Tudo fighter from Australia 🇦🇺 and was undefeated for 4 yrs straight. One day he was involved in a minor incident that got him expelled from completing in the circuit. Pure rage devours his soul and one day, while in Arizona, he starts a bar brawl and ends ups 🪦ing Armor King.(🤺K) He's convicted of 2nd degree "mans-laughter." For this, he is sentenced to 10 yrs. He only serves 2 yrs, his bail is mysteriously 💰ed off and there is a ✈ 🎟 with an ✉ to T4. He happily enters for a chance at fighting again. Unknown to him, King (👑) was the understudy to the man Craig 🪦ed. 👑 beat Craig to with an inch of his life. When he finally woke up in the 🏥, he couldn't accept defeat from 👑. He trained to his absolute limit. Adding insult to injury, Craig wore 🤺K's old mask and tore up the circuit calling out 👑. (T5) He received word of T5 and quickly enters. While it was close, 👑 came out on top again. Just Craig was expecting 👑 to actually 🪦 this time. Surprisingly 👑 extended his hand and helped Craig ⬆️. (T5DR) While Craig was leaving, he was jumped by a familiar assailant. When he came to, 👑 had asked him what happened and Craig told him about 🤺K. Even Craig didn't believe his own words. (SFXT) The 2 team up to find this 🤺K lookalike and while on the hunt the hear of Pandora's 📦 and how this 🤺K imposter could be heading there. Jin's True Calling—Part 2
Jin thought that what Lars said was crazy, but Lee told him (Jin) that there was no other choice to do anything outside a hidden identity, or he would die. So Jin accepted the mission to have a temporary new identity. Of course, the Violet Systems building was heavily secure, so Jin would be OK for now. The mission would also be codenamed Mission JKS. (You'll find out what it means later on.) And so, the next day…Mission JKS officially began. Before the secret identity part of the mission actually started, Lee, Lars, and some Violet Systems scientists had to run an intense diagnostic scan of Jin's entire body, along with a DNA scan of his genetic makeup, for both of his human AND demon sides. The scans would figure out how and why Jin became a demon in the first place, why he is a halfling demon thanks to the DNA inherited from his mother (Jun), and why his mind focuses on destructive things & killing innocent humans after he transforms into his demon form. The diagnostic and DNA scans would take place in a cylindrical-shaped healing tank (similar to what Devil Jin was placed in, seen in Dragunov's T5DR ending), but unlike what happened similarly, Jin would still be in his human form. He would also have to wear a breathing mask (similar to the same one in the aforementioned ending), but it would have attached earbuds on it so he could hear commands given to him by Lee, Lars, and the scientists, as well as communicate with Xiaoyu, and, of course, with Lee, Lars, and Alisa. Before the submerging, Lee told Jin that the Violet Systems scientists made artificial Hachijou cells created from Kazuya's blood sample the Tekken Force Stealth Ops soldiers obtained, as well as another blood sample obtained from Kazumi after her demonic transformation; but they had to use time travel methods to obtain it (similar to Xiaoyu's Tekken 5 ending). The cells, now nanosized and mixed with anti-demon signaling plasma (the liquid part of blood), which would temporarily prevent Jin from transforming into his demon form, were injected into his left arm, where his Devil Gene tattoo was. A few minutes later, Jin, now only wearing what looked like black spandex shorts (which are water-resistant), was ready to be submerged into the healing tank. But before it would actually happen, Lee inserted special contact lenses into Jin's eyes. He said that the lenses would make him see through the water in the tank, and that they also had nanosized signal particles in them so that extra signals from his body would be sent to the diagnostics team, as well as the scientists. After that, Jin put on the breathing mask, inserted the attached earbuds in his ears, and submerged himself into the healing tank. Electrodes that were attached to water-resistant wires came out from hidden areas in the tank, and Jin attached them to his head, arms, chest, hands, and legs. The diagnostic scan then began. The info will continue in Part 3. Fanart for this part of the story (as well as for Part 1 and the upcoming parts) is TOTALLY acceptable, and you can tell me what you think about this part (and the others). Enjoy! 😉👍🏻❤️

OK, so final EVO 2019 results for me! Went 5-2, made it out of my first pool, then won another game in the Round 2 pool! Feeling really good about it!
Played Kazuya the whole darn time, none of this pocket-Kazumi business for people who are unsure of their execution under pressure. Tournament nerves, schmournament nerves. We wavedash on fools on both sides; electrics everywhere \m/ \m/
Some interesting matches:
First pool: https://smash.gg/tournament/evo-2019/events/tekken-7/brackets/547674/1023771
- First match, my dad was there to watch! Thanks, Dad <3 Thankfully, it was against a fairly new player (really friendly guy, asked for tips afterwards). Pretty one-sided, though. Glad I looked strong when my cheering section was there :D
- Got *bopped* by GGL|Juno, this Marduk player from SoCal. I’d been scouting him out before EVO, and Marduk wasn’t out yet in the videos I’d seen of him, so I thought he was going to play Leo or Asuka. I need to work on the Marduk matchup, but mostly I just got outplayed.
- Losers side, I had a really good run. Walked through a few players.
- To get out of my pool, I faced MasterofMysticArts, who’s apparently an old-school East Coast player. He used to play with my buddy Paul Z in the DC area back in the T5DR days. He started with Hwoarang, and I just *barely* squeaked it out, it felt like. But apparently he thought it was convincing enough to switch characters, and then he picks Lili. And I breathe this enormous sigh of relief. I like the Kazuya vs Lili matchup much better.
He starts with cartwheel into a low, like Lili players so often do. And I had that low parry so ready. You don’t even know. This is the mental guard-break against Lili players. (I’ve done this against, eg, @peacock-jive <3 ) ... it went downhill from there for him.
And I made it out of my poooool!
Second pool: https://smash.gg/tournament/evo-2019/events/tekken-7/brackets/620835/1023805
- My first match was going to be against ThyDarkness, a fairly strong Hwoarang player. I had scouted him out, found his Twitch, knew he was going to play Hwoarang.
So what I did was, I found Hwoarang players I know (Gr1mStateOfMind from NorCal and TheEvilPadawan from Seattle) and asked for tips! I got some super good tips from TheEvilPadawan.
Vasil (Padawan) told me: check to see if he launches hellsweep on block. It’s executionally difficult for Hwoarang to launch it. If he goes for a weak punish, KEEP HELLSWEEPING. Also he showed me common power crush setups, and simplified the throw-break situation against Hwo. Turns out that out of Flamingo, he only has a 1+2 grab.
And you know what?? I hellswept that dude. Bad punish when he managed to block it. The power of my 50-50 shoots through the roof. Then I start hitting him with the wavedash d/b+2. Clunk. And I’m breaking throws from his Flamingo stance.
He managed to take the second game, but for the final game I switch to the stage that powers me up the most, G CORP HELIPAD (NIGHT).
And I took it. And then I was 5-1 in the tournament.
- My last match was against this Jack player, Barfur. And that one was really close. I didn’t have great anti-Jack tips, and I think I’m bad at that matchup in general. Dude played mostly really solid, but I think I could feel his nerves a bit. I think he wasn’t dealing with 1,2,4,3 very well, so I used that. He kept doing ws+2, but not ws+2,1, which I knew I could launch on block, but unfortunately he knew it too, so he didn’t do the second hit!
It went down to the last round, last guess. Super close. I do need to work on the Jack matchup.
So yeahh, that was a great time!
Upshot: you should go to tournaments, they’re really fun! Even if you feel like you’re not good yet, you can get some matches, and maybe there will be people even less prepared than you!
Currently I’m resting up, gonna go to the big arena to see Top 8 in a bit.

Christie Montiero Theme - Unofficial Tekken Character Theme OST - Beach
The Capoeira Sweetheart - Christie Montiero
T5DR's Estrada Da Estrela was also considered but this will also be Chrisitie's stage to me.
After Tekken 3 and TTT1, Namco stopped doing character stages and themes but that never stopped fans associated characters with a certain stage e.g. "This is totally Feng's stage". Whether they're right or wrong it's a fun thing to do so I decided to make a complete OST of unofficial characters theme using tunes and stages from Tekken 4 to 7.

some more successes!
went 2-2 in Tekken 7, so that's a success
hit a bunch of somebodies with the unblockable at the wall (including in tournament)
did quite a few 3x EWGF combos (but didn't manage to land it in tournament, I don't think)
didn't make it out of pools; got eliminated by the team kill situation that we thought might be possible. Lost a relatively close set to NorCal compatriot Miguel (that's his name; he plays Geese).
Racked up a pretty big win streak on the TTT1 cabinet. I was running wild for quite some time there. (various Mishima teams, sometimes Jun -- on head-to-head candy cab setup! it was beautiful)
also played some T5DR with the NorCal crew \m/
So many fun casual matches with people I know and people I didn't know until today!
feeling pretty good about the whole situation <3 hooray fighting games people. Hooray EVO.
still haven't obviously come down with anything
my win conditions for EVO. if these happen, I'll consider my weekend/trip successful.
Tekken 7
don't go 0-2
hit somebody with an unblockable at the wall
do 3xEWGF in a combo in tournament
extreme overwhelming success: make it out of pools, get to compete some more on Saturday (I did this in 2019; can I do it again?? no pressure)
Guilty Gear Strive
win any games at all
extreme overwhelming success: win a set, don't go 0-2
Overall
have a good time and see familiar faces & play with new FGC frens
see sick reveals and the hypest top-level play in the big arena
play a bunch of casual matches
don't get reinfected with covid or get any other kind of EVOla

As mentioned previously, T5DR online is about to shut down! (I think... tomorrow?)
So on Saturday I recorded some online matches. This is video 1 of 2 -- I got a few matches online, but mostly this is just me rambling about my relationship with Tekken and playing Ghost Battle. Next post has some pretty legit lobby matches.
Man, this game is beautiful.
