His hand finds the silver necklace around his neck, the pointed star of David digs into his palm. The blunt ends of each point reminds him to breath. He turns it over a few times, doing the same with the lighter in his pocket.
He catches it out of the corner of his eye, the font on his palm gleams and twists. Running down his pale skin like watercolor does a canvas.
'Kyle! I love you!'
Kyle let's out a little breath, it dissolves into a chuckle. That breath takes the tight feeling in his chest with it. The beautiful font leaves room for a smile.
"I love you too." He whispers to the palm, placing a kiss over the words.

what do you think of shu, new sui kid on the block? i like her design. the colors are very tasty looking :)
Shu's design is my favorite among the Sui siblings so far, very impressive given how much Ling was made to appeal to my personal tastes.

It's the Roberta in her eyes (same artist). Can't help but be charmed.
I also love that her whole theme is agriculture. All the Sui embody an artform. Nian does metalwork, Dusk does painting, Ling does poetry, and Chongyue does martial arts, but Shu's art is agriculture. Not to embody an Asian stereotype here but I love the respect towards rice farmers.
Now as for her skillset, Shu is a Guardian Defender, a bold choice when Saria has so thoroughly dominated the Guardian class (or just ground support units in general) that the last 6 star Guardian, Blemishine, steered clear of Saria and played a funky DPS/Sleep/Defensive Recovery support role just to be able to see play.
Shu on the other hand, returns to focusing on heals and support utility, meaning she'll actually be encroaching on Saria's turf. Let's look at her skillset.

So from her first talent, we see that Shu goes all in on utility, compared to Saria talent 1 bulking herself up with +ATK and +DEF stacks, or Maria's talent 1 letting her attack sleeping enemies. The "rice fields" give HP regen instead of heals (which means it heals unhealable units like Musha or Juggernauts) which greatly extends her versatility, and granting shelter to allies hiding in her sowed times is a nice bonus, but what I really value about the talent is that she sows the 4 tiles around a healed ally as well, meaning you can get great coverage on a map.
Her Talent 2 is kind of a meme. The Max HP and ASPD effects are really easy to get which is great, but the SP and ATK buff applied when four of Shu, Nian, Chongyue, Dusk, and Ling are all in the team is kind of a meme imo. That's 4/12 slots taken for a meh attack buff and a 0.25 SP/s increase, which is lower than the +0.3/s provided by Ptilopsis (although Shu's appears to work on all SP recovery types which is nice). The Sui siblings don't really have all that much synergy with each other (in fact Ling would rather fly solo to have as many deployment slots for her summons as possible) so trying to force the Sui buff by having 4 deployed seems to me like you will just be griefing yourself half the time on harder stages.
Now for her skills

S1 looks to be the exact same thing as Saria's and default Nearl's. I think Saria's S1 will remain the most valuable version of this since Saria stacks both ATK and DEF on herself over time and this S1 is mostly used to make a Guardian act as a tank. Shu's regen and shelter from ricefield tiles would have to be crazy high for me to consider her S1 when I already got both Saria and Nearl on S1M3.
Shu's S2 is interesting, it's basically an upgraded version of regular Nearl's S2 (which no one uses). I need to see the numbers on the boost to Talent 1 to properly judge this skill, but for now this could potentially open up new strategic options (due to being a ground unit-based shelter buff). It's manually activated and heals two at a time which can be a pain in the ass vs just using Saria's S2, but I'm looking forward to seeing how much it buffs her sow tiles.
And now for Skill 3.

Welcome to the rice fields motherfucker, you aren't allowed to leave. The bonus ATK and ASPD for allies inside her range is a buff no other Guardian can provide, but the really cool bit is teleporting enemies who have stepped on a Sow tile back into it if they end up walking too far.
I'm going to be honest, I have no idea if that is insanely broken for crowd control or if it's just a big meme, as you need to heal allies to plant sow tiles (so you can't plant ahead of your units to make an unescapable trap without using an Operator to create the Sow tiles). It is weird and creative and a very different take on Saria's S3 also being AOE crowd control and heals though, so I like it and can't wait to experiment with it.

Unique interactions aside I adore how Sinclair Who Shall Grip's character is reflected on the gameplay side, we are told through his Uptie story that he doesn't believe in Faust's cause as much as he *wants* to, and it shows, because he is just godawful at the job she gave him.
For starters, Nails, the thing that defines the faction; Shall Grip Sinclair can't inflict any stacks of it.
All other N-corp IDs we have so far can apply at least one Nails, and we are informed in N-corp Don's Uptie story that the nails possess a symbolic importance for them because "the reason we pierce evil with nails beeth to utilize them as tools so the One Who Grips may enact justice". It's all about the One Who Grips, and even at his worst Sinclair is unable to aid her beyond the surface level, quite literally he can't help Faust carry out her Execution because the skill requires Nails and he can't give them.
Though it doesn't end there, the more you use them the clearer it becomes that the Faust Who Grips and Sinclair Who Shall Grip IDs don't mesh together at all. Faust's nails inflict Bleed count, Sinclair needs Burn Count, Faust's passives heal SP, Sinclair needs to stay at low SP, Whistle gives Fanatic to two allies, Sinclair hogs one stack due to always being the lowest SP ally by kit-design, but then there's how he can't make proper use of the Fanatic buff because of the SP heal ruining his tails flips, so rather than helping it's like trying to put a torn band-aid over a wound when that Fanatic could be going to someone actually capable of benefiting from it.
Sure, his skills include effects that involve other N-corp units, but first, it's a selfish interaction, they can help Sinclair but the most he will give them is a pathetic 2 Bleed on the last hit from Amoral Enactment, and second, what little ways they have to help Sinclair pale in comparison to letting him fight alongside IDs from other faction, what's a 15% damage increase compared to rolling 30 on each one of Self-destructive Purge's coins, and what's 5 Burn Potency compared the obscene amounts of Burn Count Liu Hong Lu can provide for his second skill and E.G.O? The N-corp effects are pretty much just there as lip-service, which applies to Sinclair's half-baked belief in their cause too, he shines the most when going against Nails and Hammer, and that keeps being the case even for the ID that's supposed to be on their side.
I find it funny how the closest to a synergy you can find between Faust and Sinclair is Faustie's Gaze buff, which sums up their relationship perfectly. She points to something and Sinclair kills stuff, Sinclair's core personality remains unchanged just like how the only thing that Gaze does is provide a crude damage-buff that doesn't help with any of Sinclair Who Shall Grip's obtuse mechanics, but the 'Sinclair kills stuff' part is enough for Faust.
Lastly, another point that I love is Sinclair's physical types and resistances.
All his skills deal Blunt damage, which is exactly what the N-corp Inquisitors are weak to.
Other N-corp units deal Blunt damage too, but they also have Pierce skills that the Inquisitors endure, Sinclair on the other hand doesn't waste a single bit of damage when it comes to killing them ASAP, and unlike the rest of N-corp Units, Sinclair Who Shall Grip has an Ineffective resistance for Blunt, at the same time his resistance against Pierce is normal rather than fatal, meaning he can go against the Inquisitor enemies without worrying about dying in a blink because they simply can't strike his weakness.
But of course, there's one N-corp character who Sinclair can't deal with, and it isn't Kromer, you must have seen already how she gets staggered if you bring Sinclair against her.
No, the one Nails and Hammer member who can claim the title of best counter against Sinclair Who Shall Grip is funnily enough, Faust Who Shall Grip.
Emitter is weak to Lust but it doesn't matter because Faust resists the physical type of all her skills, her passive ruins Sinclair's rolls to the point he can hit 0 as a coin value, and guess what, Sinclair's base E.G.O, Branch of Knowledge, has a fatal weakness to Pride, the element of Faust's Execution skill.
There's something so twisted yet beautiful about the fact that even in gameplay terms, Sinclair can't hope to go against Faust, while she could easily get rid of him if she ever felt like it.
But of course, what I find even more beautiful is that Sinclair Who Shall Grip has one small means of rebellion left, one last tool that can he could use to hurt Faust if he ever dares go against her: Branch of Knowledge, the E.G.O that encapsulates Sinclair's sin.
Emitter also has a fatal weakness to Gluttony, and unlike Sinclair Who Shall Grip's own skills, its physical type matches Faust Who Grips fatal weakness to Slash, making it the ideal tool for killing her.
Given how turning a blind eye to everything as a way to cope is a big part of Sinclair Who Shall Grip's character, I like how the one thing he could theoretically use to break free from his dependence on Faust is a manifestation of his inner psyche literally called Branch of *Knowledge*, I would assume these are all coincidences if it were any other game but PM has put crazier details on their works before.

Enough!
These were just a small batch of questions floating through my head. When it comes to Mirrors and starting gifts, the system now encourages you to not take the same team over and over again, so variation is something that you may want to consider. But with so many Sinners and so many skills, status buffs and other kinds of gimmicks, it's very easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees. At least it is for me.
This is why I made the Identity log.
It has filters for rarity, season, sinner, and various of buffs, debuffs and gimmicks. It is also designed to be viewed on a desktop (mobile desktop view will cut off the rightmost column) and the filters can stack. A quick hover-over will show you all the keywords attached to the Identity in question.
For the purpose of this log, I have made up several terms that describe roles and that kind of thing in the game, like when an Identity gets stronger below a certain amount of HP, or when it profits disproportionally from a kill or a stagger. You can see a list of those new terms under the cut.
Negative: Coins need Tails hits in contrast to Heads hits. Currently only contains Sunshower Heathcliff and N Sinclair.
Sanity Break: Gains effects when Sanity is low. These can either be granted by talents or skills.
Punishment: Loses a fixed (larger) amount of SP when losing a clash. This means a fixed amount stated by the skill.
Peerless: Gains effects if not damaged the previous turn.
Daredevil: Gains effects if below a certain HP percentage.
Vigor: Gains effects if above a certain HP percentage.
Stagger Expert: Directly affects the target's stagger treshold. This is not Tremor Burst.
Executor: Skills deal more damage if the target is below a certain HP percentage.
Murderer: Gains effects if an enemy is staggered/killed. This doesn't have to be their own kill for them to get the tag.
Sadist: (Skills) Gain(s) effects if the target is on or below 0 SP.
Oppertunist: Gains effects if the target has a certain debuff on them. This can be more damage or the infliction of more debuffs.
Analyst: Skills deal more damage if the target is weak or fatal to their type.
Berserker: Skills deal more damage based on damage already dealt by self.
Synergist: Has a synergy with their alliance members. Think N Sinclair's upgraded passive. This is why there is an Alliance filter.
Clash Master: When clashing, the target loses power in that clash.

anyways here’s me being a gameplay nerd instead of being deranged about the characters for once but i gotta say. running sorc therion has been really funny because the whole run i had speced tressa into scholar, and was basically feeding her any magic boosting items etc, so in the end she has like over 300 elemental atk on him. which works very well for elemental pursuit damage + balogars blade (which now outpaces hired help damage)
but for therion like, honestly before going around and just doing the other bosses i had sorc on him more as a meme, because like the real reason people say go for sorc therion is because you can stack fire damage up weapons on him the way you can stack wind damage up weapons on tressa, but i didn’t actually. get any of those weapons for him which meant his elemental damage is honestly still. bad.
Buttttt having access to every magic as a triple hit is so tremendously useful for breaking literally everything in the game it’s still worth it, especially since he also has access to steal sp, so even tho he’s sp hungry he can usually just fix it himself. and THEN i kind of ignored getting elemental break until the end (because id have rather have him have access to every magic type) and then realized that like. holy shit that actually has insane synergy with balogars blade, because tressa’s Eatk is really really good, she usually hits abt 5k ish x 6 hits with it with no modifiers, then with the elemental break debuff she hit cap on a few hits (i think the lightning and ice ones bc i have battle tested axe on her) and i was like this could be actually. really fucking good if i get her the wind up weapons and slap surpassing power on her.
therion’s damage basically comes entirely from aeber’s spam (i basically but every single +speed resource into him), atp that hits usually 20-30k depending on if he gets an armor corrosive off, and like elemental break balogar could just blow that out of the water. might see if it’s an effective strategy against one of the other hidden side bosses or something

Notes on how the combat gameplay and synergy between Will Grip Sinclair and One Who Grips Faust reflect a relationship of unhappy reliance and control.
So starting from these words from my last post, which outline Sinclair’s relationship with Faust/Kromer as being one of someone so broken by her seizing control of his life that he cannot now do anything but look back to her for assurance!:

His life importantly has become completely stagnant; he is emphasized as being a chick with a broken shell because he cannot progress past this point of total control in his life as the Sinclair we have with us on the bus has done. He’s a version of himself who cannot stand up to her, nor break through the self denial he’s living in to fully accept that he will never be like her, sincerely believing in purging others despite his best attempts - thus he’s completely stuck in limbo.

The Units
The base facts are, all of N Corp Sinclair’s abilities take between 7-15 sanity (he cannot stand what he is doing) with the exception of his guard skill, ‘Enough’, a pause which regains him some

2/3 of his skills have effects that activate on tails hit, so the 'bad' side of the coin  you generally do not want to land for most units - low sanity is rewarded

His passive further encourages keeping sanity low or neutral even whilst winning clashes and defeating units.
Though you can keep Will Grip Sinclair balanced, he as a unit is going to always be running the risk during trickier fights of hitting that -45 sanity, becoming ego corrupted and wiping allies it’s always fucking Gregor out
COMPARE Faust:

On killing a foe, her execution recovers all allies for 10 Sanity.

When she marks a target with gaze, the one to defeat it regains sanity, with further bonus of fanaticism if also N Corp.
You can already tell I’m going to say she keeps him in check statistically, but the final kicker is really her passive.

Her whistles - the little command sound she makes to round up the N Corp troops. With her sanity heal effecting the specific allies with the least SP, the chances are almost certain that it will be Will Grip Sinclair.
When her whistle passive is audibly activated, Sinclair responds with a strained sounding laugh - all but confirmed within his uptie story to be a false laugh/smile he makes while pretending he finds the violence and extremist ideology of N Corp enjoyable. (This is something Faust herself fully knows he does not, and finds his attempts mildly amusing.)

These two units are designed to work together perfectly.
Sinclair rapidly loses his sanity, and Kromer/Faust restores it for him.
It reflects their relationship in this way: Sinclair is prevented from fully losing his mind under the brunt of what his life has become, yet is living a nightmare, taking part in terrible actions he cannot bear to face the consequences of nor his feelings for, while besides him Kromer/Faust whistles and cajoles him back into centre when he falters.
Naturally we can use these units with others, it’s a team building game, but these particular units are so suited to work together that it becomes the obvious choice.
I keep being impressed by the way plot and character so cleverly effects the statistics and gameplay within project moon games, and these units have been the highlight for me so far. It’s especially when you hear that little combination of Faust’s whistle call and Sinclair’s responding, uneasy laugh, I think it really highlights the fact that Will Grip Sinclair as a unit is in the exact same place as his character is; a suspended in a state of miserable, powerless limbo

Pull priority guide from post lucent arrowhead to delicious in dungeon collab. Ranked from highest-value operator to lowest, at the end I'll discuss which banners to prioritize.

brings Ho'olheyak's previously unique niche of a rapid-fire uplift to a five star package. While he's more limited in what enemies he can lift, he more than makes up for it with better uptime and splash AOE. It's rare that 5 stars get to compete directly with 6 stars. For that alone, he's absolutely worth your time. Just like ho'olheyak before him, he's got excellent synergy with one particular IS4 relic.
#3: Nymph.

so far the only applicator of the "fear" status effect, which is distinct from Degenbrecher's frighten. It's a unique status that forces enemies to walk backwards for a short time. It has a lot of potent use cases, especially against slower enemies. Like most of our entrants here, her notable skill has a reasonably low SP cost.
#4: Laios Touden.

a character fully unique to arknights from one of the manhwas, i think it's called "Dig Dug's Dungeon Dining"? It was part of the konami collaboration. Anyway, he, like odda, brings a 6-star utility to a lower rank. Frighten is a fairly powerful effect, fully canceling an enemy's auto-attacks, but on a purely-offensive operator like degenbrecher, it didn't quite have a central place on her kit. Laios has much tankier stats as a dreadnought, and his frighten has a long duration and low SP cost.
#5: Logos

What logos brings to the table is straight out of the matrix: he can slow down and potentially delete nearly any projectile with his s3. It's flashy, and when used cleverly can save you a lot of grief. However, it's hardly applicable to every situation. Some of the most dangerous ranged enemies don't use projectiles at all, and some "projectiles" ignore his skill anyway. It's certainly not universal, but when it's useful, it's fun and powerful.
#6: Ascalon

She doesn't bring anything fully unique, but what she does bring is a bit stronger and weirder than most operators before her. Like Ela, she has a skill that inflicts "accuracy reduction" on enemies, with a 50% chance for any enemy attack to miss instead of Ela's 40%. It has some distinct use cases from dodge, notably stopping certain damage-over-time effects that would result from a hit. On top of that, she can slow aerial enemies with her s2 without damaging them, which looks very funny. Overall, a useful and unique operator.
Honorable mentions: Chilchuck Tims - Unlike Folinic, who only gives herself resistance environmental effects, Chilchuck gives full immunity. He's also kind enough to share with any allies within his range. Ulpianus - Technically the first operator to be able to redeploy himself with a skill, but it's hardly different from just. Y'know. redeploying an operator normally. Can still be very useful, especially when rapidly swapping between lanes. Narantuya - Also applies accuracy reduction to enemies, but despite the infinite application time, its range and chance leaves much to be desired. Instead of a 50%, it's only 20%. Lutonada - Extremely adorable. Also, shifting utility on a defender is completely unique if you've never heard of croissant.
Which Banner Should I Pull On?
While it's easy to get caught up in the hype of a new limited banner, Logos' cool utility is barely applicable to more than a handful of sick compilations. Try to grab someone more reliable, like Laios Touden, who will scream at your enemies! With that in mind, here are my recommendations:

This banner has two of my recommended operators: Pallas' Bodyguard, and the Janitor Director Ascalon, and one of my honorable mentions, Lutonada. 3 for the price of 1 is the best deal you'll get here!

logos banner: He might not be the most widely applicable, but you can't go wrong with something that entertaining. Still, I wouldn't recommend pulling too hard. Missing out on him isn't the end of the world.

¤ He had three piercings on the shell of his ear, but when Kevin left for the military he took it out and gave it to him.

¤ He's trying to stop smoking but it's a losing battle.
¤ He's still running around as Mysterion with his inability to die.
¤ The power changes as he gets older. He now wakes up wherever he deems home to be. It's not something he can choose, it's what his heart thinks home is
¤ So he wakes up on the couch of his little living room, Karen sleeping in her room.
¤ His body reverses back to when he first got his Soul Synergy
¤ Kenny doesn't get his Soul Synergy until he's in his late twenties.
¤ Doesn't really know why it took so long for it to show up but he's not complaining
¤ I don't think he freaks out when he first sees plants push through his skin
¤ It's alarming for sure, but he just kind of looks at it
¤ It isn't until he notices the scars on his body left from the plant don't go away that he takes it seriously
¤ He tries to keep some of the plants, but he doesn't exactly have the knowledge on how to take care of some of these plants
¤ He gets a little sad when they die
¤ When he finds his soulmate he's more attentive to his body
》 Not just where the flowers grow from, but he's better at taking care of himself
¤ He can't stop being Mysterion. He knows people still need him, and he needs this, but he's not as reckless with his body.
He's sitting in class, zoning out again. Whatever the professor was going on about was a distant thought. The tired behind his eyes weighed him down. He had his head leaned back against the wall, his hood pulled up to add a little extra comfort. Trying to stay awake, he's bouncing his leg. The motion doing very little to keep him awake.
But the sleepy blonde doesn't stay that way for long. The familiar feeling of plants pushing their way from under his skin up into the surface wakes him. He sits up almost in an instant when an orchid breaks the flesh, poking out of his mask. From the side of face, another one blooms and stretches out towards the sun.
No blood. But the side of his face stings, the feeling of a handprint buzzes where the petals touch.
Kenny stands up abruptly, cutting the professor off with little to no care. His hands nearly miss grabbing his bag from the way he beelines it to the door. As fast as his legs carry him, he runs out of the room leaving behind petals, leaves, and the protests of his professor.

How powerful is alpha that the two’s cant just beat the pest up. I know it has a shadow stone but its still just a mew.

One thing i didnt note was that the Mewtwos are high Tier D nearing low tier C but not there. Even though they are also created via Origin's bloodline, the secondary pokemon and human DNA muddles it!
King is already the strongest of the group, he just has more drive and power, and yes- Alpha is really young when he's going up against the twos. But he also has the Shadow Stone.
At his age give or take, he should be about level 26, the Synergy Stone practically double it so he's roughly level 52
SM!Ash at this time is around level 48. Indigo is at 40 while Peach is at level 18-20
Now these are broad estimates based on game logic to explain it a bit more.
SM!King is about level 25. He's strong but young. And this was because of the added souls. He has the expierence of like a level 12 pokemon.
Red is around level 5 himself.
So the only one that can legitimately go up against Alpha and beat him up is Ash. And even then it's VERY close. The Synergy Stone essentially boosts up Def and Sp Def (Think of it like a perma +2) so already, Ash needs to hit this guy over and over and over without taking a hit to even get him down fast.
Right now he's up against King, and while King is WAAAY underleveled. Alpha is literally just toying with him. He's just lucky that he's fast

I was wondering because gamepress and reddit just make me even more confused , but which modules in your opinion are most worth getting to level 3? not asking you to list out all of them but like which few are most notable that come to mind
The ones on your favorites : )
But seriously though, off the top of my head there are a few special standouts
Mostima's -8 DP cost module is probably the most famous one, turning a unit once infamously known as the worst 6 star into a legitimately good control unit by giving her a minor but global range movement speed reduction (so it ignores enemies immune to slow!) and a 90% movement speed reduction when inside the range of her S3. Probably the biggest change a module upgrade has given.
All the Abyssal Hunters, because the AH team is hilariously broken, but Gladiia's is especially so. The backbone of the whole AH team, her module bizarrely extends the 25% reduced Abyssal Hunter damage taken vs Seaborn enemies into ALL enemies, and then ups it to 30%. On someone already considered the strongest Free unit. Why not.
Dusk's -8 DP cost module was a massive upgrade from her horrible first module. The upgrades increase the strength of her freelings while every freeling on the field gives her 1 SP every 1.5s, dramatically improving her own S3 recharge time. While not as directly powerful as Mostima's S3 affecting even invincible and invisible enemies, Dusk's module is a gamechanger for Caster-only squads and also makes her a powerful summoner in her own right.
Ch'en's +10% skill damage module upgrades her SP talent significantly, for her allies at Level 2, and for herself at Level 3. She now charges her S3 so fast that even without attacking any enemies it's only somewhat slower than if it had just been a per second SP charge skill instead of per attack. Swordmasters are defined by their powerful nuking skills, so Ch'en spamming hers more often is already a big upgrade, but helping everyone else with ATK and DEF recovery skills too gives her a special niche.
Ethan's is weirdly strong for some reason, because instead of just buffing the bind time or the bind chance, the module buffs both while also adding a 20% movement speed reduction on top of it, making an incredibly powerful module overall (and it's on a 4 star so it's also super cheap!)
Lin's is a must-have because the base effect alone has stupid synergy with her S3 (basically, it raises the damage needed to break the shield to a ridiculous 1,200 phys ATK), but the upgrades increase both her SP gain and her talent proc chance, meaning she's both nigh invincible during S3 AND charges it super fast when under fire. It's kind of wild actually.
There are way more that are worth to fully upgrade too (some of them have huge numbers like Aak, Dorothy, and Rosa, others make someone significantly better inside their niche like Hellagur) but these are the first few I'd recommend!
