Move from plastic smiles to authentic healing
By Swami Sukhabodhananda
Hurt operates like a fishing rod, with the hook at one end for fishing and blaming others, and a fool at the other end. Its reward is unnecessary suffering. It is harder to heal the hurt of a fool than the hurt of an intelligent person.
Heal yourself
What should we do to remove our inner hurt? We are a result of our psychological programming. Our unhappy mind operates at three levels: There is pseudo-positivism; there are our past hurts; and the past hurts spin a world of hope in the future.
We are unhappy and hurt, and instead of facing it authentically, we create artificial and plastic smiles and thus cover our inner wounds. This type of positivism has social decency but has false value. The danger of this type of positivism is that we are not healing and transforming but covering our hurt. Then this hurt is pushed into a deeper level of our minds. This suppressed hurt triggers our past hurts in the subconscious and they both start nourishing each other. Thus, the hurt becomes stronger with references to the past.
Then the past hurt coupled with the present hurt projects a world of hope in the domain of the future. And one starts living in hope as a matter of survival. To free oneself from such a cycle is the context of yogic linguistic programming.
Be honest
Firstly, when you are hurt, be honest that you are hurt, don’t play the mental games of plastic smiles.
Secondly, catch how your past hurts and support your present hurt. Don’t allow them to join hands.
Thirdly, when the mind hopes for the future, understand that it is as a part of the mind’s technique of surviving from the pain. As a matter of survival, you imagine a world of joy in the future and when your pain is intense, you intensively hope for the future and thus create multiple personalities.
We faint and that is one of the methods the body uses to avoid intense pain. Similarly, when our past hurt coupled with the present hurt becomes too intense, then as a matter of survival, the mind projects a world of hope, a world of joy in the future. Now, the future appears more real than the present.
To get out of the pain of student life, imagine you are a professor and a very knowledgeable one at that – this is how a dual personality is created.
Instead of creating a world of the future, heal your hurt in the present. By yogic methods, we can do that. That is why it is called yogic linguistic programming.
Reflect on this: The master said, “What you need is not the 30 assurances of security but the thrill of insecurity; the pleasure insecurity gives rather than security. You should develop the pleasure of healing rather than spin a world of hurt and methods to avoid hurt.”

Principles of Healing & Growth Management by Swami Sukhabodhananda
When we are physically sick we immediately take the help of a doctor. fair enough. When we are mentally sick it is taboo to express why? World health Organization says the second greatest killer by 2020 will be depression. Stress, tension, mood swings, insecurity, hurts, irrational fears, inferiority complex or superiority complex, disproportionate anger, one upmanship are a part of mental sickness. All of humanity deep within wants to cure itself of this disease. It is in search of this elusive eternal happiness and peace that every one of us craves for.
There is a Conscious mind which forms only ten per cent of the whole while the unconscious mind forms the balance 90 per cent. Most of our complicated personal reactions are hidden layers of personality, a result of complex memory layers of our past filled with hurts upsets, disappointments etc., which form” Enneagrams” constitute the hidden unconscious self.

1st and 2nd Feb
Happy February!
1st Feb
Got enrolled with Swami Sukhabodhanand’s 1 week course. I had attended his ‘Life’ program in 1995 in Mumbai. Good to see him on video once again. Went back to the old memories! Started watching the video in the morning after getting up at 5 AM
Father discharged from Sakra hospital today. Almost whole day was in hospital.  In the evening started a new PMP evening batch while Varsha took care of discharge process for Papa. Slept quite late at around 12.30 AM as had sipped some strong tea in the evening.
2nd Feb
Watched the Spiritual Warrior video of Swami Sukhabodhananda after getting up at 5 am in the morning. Then went to the Gym as I has engaged a gym personal trainer from today. Conducted some interviews for new recruits from Amruta college. After that went to play tennis with my neighbour. That was the first time I played singles tennis with anyone. Great experience, though it was too sunny at 10 AM to 11 AM. After lunch performed Yoga Nidra for an hour and then went to impart driving lessons to Animisha. She picked up on her first day on the plain ground were she practiced for an hour. In the evening continued the PMP evening batch. Now writing the diary at 10.45 pm. Ready to sleep with some rituals learned today in the online class.

Any kind of isolation is cause for conflict
Any kind of isolation is cause for conflict
Satsang: Swami Sukhabodhananda
Q. Why do we sometimes behave in a cold manner?
Man has become stoic in life, and hence he behaves illogically. Our life should be filled with feelings and feelings have their own sense. The heart of education is, education of the heart. Put your heart into what you do, whether at the office or at home. One should be emotionally fit, and emotion should be

No Need to Worry
Article by Swami Sukhabodhananda
You may have multiple values in life, but the core value that you should have is “not to worry”. To be concerned is one thing, and to worry is yet another. When you worry, then your psychological worries start multiplying and thus you feel inwardly tired and exhausted. But if what you feel is concern and not worry, then your love energy opens up, and thereby you become more alive.   Recently, I gave a talk in San Francisco. One lady, a computer engineer, also listened to my talks. Later, she met me separately and cried that her life has become horrible in spite of so much of success she has achieved in her life. “Success has cheated me, and; therefore, I feel there is no hope in me,” she said.
She was weeping, and her words were logical and descriptive. Though she could express herself clearly, I found that her education was not helping her and that she had the sinking feeling that she was drowning
I told her that she should not worry about two things: “Things you can’t change” and “things you can change.” There are many things such as one’s ageing process which one can’t change.  What is the point of worrying about it?  Similarly, there are many things one can change. In respect of such things, one has to act, rather than worry. Because, if you can change things, why worry? And in order to effect the change, you need to take the requisite action, isn’t it?
Hence, if you look deeply, worry has no place in your life. So please cultivate the habit; just learn to stop worrying. If you learn to think wisely, then you will definitely stop worrying. Then, you will trust your inner intelligence.  There is a wise saying, “Learn to tie your camel and trust in God”. That is, do what has to be done and then learn to trust.    Inwardly, the woman I met in San Francisco, was in a state of worry, fear, anxiety and hence her life was in complete disorder. When your inner being is in disorder, then your action is nothing but a reaction and hence you are a movement of disorder.  If you wish to rectify this situation, you have to keep your inner being in order.
What does that involve? One has to stop worrying and learn to be concerned, learn to love, and learn to do things out of love and not out of worry. Then, your office work will be joy; your family responsibility will be joy.    Success, I told her, will never give fulfillment.  One of the myths to which humanity is lost to is thinking that success is the be all and end all of life. Many have been successful but not fulfilled. To be fulfilled is altogether a different dimension.  Let the brain understand this distinction and search for fulfillment. Unless you search, you will not discover. When you are fulfilled, you will not have anxiety but deep trust.
Trust that existence cares for you, loves you, and is coaching you in different ways. Everything is not against, and fulfillment or happiness happens in the ending of fear, anxiety, worry and distrust. After hearing me saying all this, the lady stood aghast to think that she had been fooled all her life because she thought success gives fulfillment.   Success gives achievement but not fulfillment.  A myth can take us in a wrong direction and hence, one has to be watchful of the power of myth.
