Been thinking on Marías. Really like his books. Icelandic author Sjón is perhaps too young but omg what he deservesv it. Maybe they will give it to a woman after all. Both Anne Swärd and Ellen Mattson will be sure to give that a try since it’s their first time in the committee. So maybe Dubravka Ugresic? 

Soon we well know.

Stockholm International Film Festival - Kenneth Branagh receives the Stockholm Achievement Award 2021 at the Nordic premiere of Belfast → November 20 2021

Stockholm Achievement Award is presented to an individual in honor and acknowledgment of their contribution to the world of film. The prestigious prize, the 7.3-kilogram Bronshästen (Bronze Horse) – the world’s heaviest film prize – is a paraphrase of the Swedish Dalecarlian horse and was created by Swedish designer Fredrik Swärd.

The stories told range from the trauma of her family history to the portrayal of her bohemian friends to a journey into the darkness of addiction.⁠ ⁠ By focusing exclusively on slideshows and video installations, 'This Will Not End Well' aims to fully embrace Goldin’s vision of how her work should be experienced. The book retains the presentation of the slide shows by showing all images in the same format on a black background and sequenced as they are in the sources.
