Can you believe we are in a new decade? I couldn’t have imagined the year 2020 when I was a young boy. Do you remember all the movies that took place in the future and how futuristic 2020 was depicted? What about the flying cars and interstellar travels on exotic planets? We haven't gone near it so far: in a few days I'll have to take my motorbike to the repair shop, again! Anyway I don't mind at all: I believe that each and every day should be our main focus. When we do things from a place of feeling the way we want to feel, it all flows together with so much more ease. For me, my #1 goal this year was to continue the practice of strengthening my inner world – to feel joy and gratitude daily. To fully and completely feel it so deeply that happiness just oozed out of me in my relationships, in my work and in my blog, especially in these weekly posts for all of you. I’ve been working on my 2020 goals and I’m going to continue with last years intentions, which is adding goodness into my life, not setting resolutions on things I think I need to give up. But, as I decided a long time ago, there is always time for ridin' my motorbike, whether in my neighborhood or around the whole world, and that's what makes my life interesting, thus, worth living. I'm not personally interested in flying ships yet, and like the King sang I feel that 'there's so much world to see'. I think that many of you totally agree with me on this, and surely Turkish-German bikergirl and misterious socialite Miray endorses those words: you know, she never shows her face on Instagram but I bet there's a big fat shining smile ridin' around her Suzuki GSX-R750 behind that black HJC helmet! Why don't you show it to us? That smile will make all of us just walk on the moon! *** More than thirty years ago Suzuki GSX-R750's introduction revolutionized the sportbikes segment. Ever since then, the GSX-R750 has remained true to its original concept and championship-winning heritage. On the road or on the track, the GSX-R750 delivers a breathtaking combination of outstanding engine performance, crisp handling, compact size, and light weight. Its secret is an unequaled pairing of 750cc performance with the lightweight, compact chassis of a 600cc Supersport, complemented by technologically advanced suspension front and rear. The GSX-R750’s look was born and raised on the racetrack, and for its whole lifetime that styling has two new, dual-color paint schemes. Riders can choose the Glass Sparkle Black/Pearl Glacier White scheme that includes red bodywork graphics and striping on the black cast aluminum wheels. Also available is a scheme that blends a shiny and flat finish via Metallic Matter Black/Glass Sparkle Black bodywork that also includes red graphics and accents on black wheels. The GSX-R750’s fuel injected, 750cc, four-cylinder engine powers a balanced sportbike experience. This engine pulls strong off the bottom like a larger-displacement powerplant while it builds revs like a smaller mill – it’s the best of both worlds. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) lets the rider adjust the engine’s power delivery to suit the riding conditions. The twin-spar aluminum frame effectively connects the steering head with the swingarm pivot portion of the chassis in a way that balances light weight and strength. The engine is suspended below the frame to keep mass low and the wheelbase short to promote nimble handling. Compact 750cc, four-cylinder engine with a race-proven over-square bore/stroke ratio managed to produce a remarkably strong high rpm power delivery. The energy-efficient engine employs forged pistons, shot-peened connecting rods, chrome-nitride-coated upper compression and oil control rings, and pentagonal ventilation holes to reduce frictional and mechanical losses. Lightweight titanium alloy valves are controlled by single-coil valve springs to reduce valve-train mass, reducing mechanical losses at high rpm. Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection uses eight fine-spray eight-hole injectors for improved fuel atomization, which contributes to more complete combustion. An Engine Control Module (ECM) provides state-of-the-art engine management and has enhanced settings to suit the intake and exhaust systems, resulting in better fuel economy and linear throttle response. Advanced, MotoGP-developed transistorized ignition control programming helps maintain more precise spark timing across the range of engine speed and temperature. Four-into-one stainless steel exhaust system with a titanium muffler is fitted with a Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) valve that maximizes torque and improves throttle response, especially in the low- to mid-rpm range. Lightweight and compact twin-spar aluminum alloy frame is constructed of five cast sections to produce a balance of light weight and strength. The frame is mated with a cast aluminum swingarm and multi-piece rear sub-frame that’s ready for racetrack use. Race-developed, lightweight Showa Big Piston front Fork (BPF) delivers superb feedback and consistent performance. Single Showa rear shock features externally adjustable rebound and compression damping, along with adjustable ride height. Electronically controlled steering damper provides lighter steering at slower speeds and more damping force at racetrack and highway speeds. Front brakes with fully floating 310mm discs are grasped by radial-mount, four-piston Brembo Monobloc calipers. Three-spoke cast aluminum alloy wheels are shod with lightweight, high-grip front and rear tires for sharp handling. Three-way adjustable foot pegs, adjustable shift lever, and short fuel tank help compose a comfortable riding position that permits the rider movement required for performance riding. Compact, lightweight instrument cluster with a built-in lap timer/stopwatch and programmable engine rpm indicators to alert the rider to certain shift points. The GSX-R750 survived in several incarnations from its launch in 1985 all the way to 2016 before it was finally dropped from the Suzuki range. During its lifetime, the GSX-R750 had to see off competition from impressive rivals such as the Yamaha FZ750 and YZF-R7, Kawasaki ZXR750 and ZX-7R, the Ducati 749 and then a new generation of larger-capacity superbikes such as the FireBlade and Yamaha R1. The GSX-R was much lighter (thanks to its aluminium beam frame, a first for a mass-produced bike) than the FZ750 and its better looks and more futuristic design gave it the edge in the battle of the showrooms. Happy birthday Suzuki! The Japanese motor corporation has completed 100 years as a company. Suzuki was established on 15th March 1920 as a silk weaving company, which, in 1954, provided the basis for the birth of Suzuki Motor Corporation, one of the main automotive companies in Japan. But the history books tell that the company's first motor vehicle was a motorbike, the 1952 Power Free, followed by the succ4ssful Diamond Free DF model in 1953. However, these models were nothing more than bicycles with a 50 cc engine and a petrol tank: the first real motorcycles produced arrive with the name of "Colleda": the 1954 model is considered the rarest Suzuki motorbike ever. Some Suzuki have marked the first in the history of motorcycling: the Colleda Seltwin SB of '58 is the first motorcycle in the world with a 2-stroke two-cylinder engine and electronic ignition, the T20 of 1965 was the fastest "two-half" on the market, the T500 was the first production bike with a 500cc 2-stroke twin-cylinder engine while the 1991 DR Big 800 still holds the record of "4-stroke single-cylinder more large never mounted on a mass-produced motorcycle". On the other hand, one of Suzuki's great qualities is that of creating real iconic motorcycles like the Van Van, born in 1974, or the "turbocharged" XN85 and the charming Katana. Anyway Suzuki produced its masterpiece in the superbike world: while the RG250 Gamma gave life to the sportbike famous dynasty in 1983, the GSX-R 750 made its debut in 1985, the first "Gixxer" in history. In the 1970s, Suzuki company established itself in the motorcycle racing world winning world championships in the premier 500 cc class. After retiring from MotoGP in 2011, Suzuki made its come back in 2015 in the GSX-RR currently driven by the Spanish racers Joan Mir and Alex Rins, which were heavy favourites for MotoGP 2020. Sadly, much like all global sport, MotoGP is on hiatus amid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic with the opening round currently scheduled for Jerez on May 1st-3rd, though it is expected this will be pushed back again as Spain reels from a sharp increase in cases and deaths. To all Spanish brothers and sisters: even if we do know that in this difficult situation it's very hard to take comfort in anything, just like our silly few words, we're sure that, as in other terrible situations, better times will come. Meanwhile, while we must stay home to protect ourselves and our loved ones, we celebrate both the Suzuki anniversary and the battle of the Spanish people posting some of the better photos made by the amazing Spanish bikergirl and tenocious rider Berta along with her Suzuki GSX-R1000R! Stay strong: all you racers will be again riding in the streets sooner than you think, and - believe me - bikergirls like Berta will be at your head! *** *** Suzuki GSX-R1000 is still the superbike par excellence for the vast majority of fans. This motorcycle combines the power and agility that riders expect from a Suzuki flagship sports bike, with an enviable track record for Superbike victories and which is still a tough nut to beat. The 2020 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is now equipped with the bidirectional quick-shift gearbox, which was previously only available on the GSX-R1000 R. Today, even the less tracked version of the Japanese four-cylinder gives quick and effective changes both by inserting and climbing the six relationships. The most desired sportbike on the market presents itself at the start of the 2020 season with a livery that recalls the world of MotoGP. The blue color and racing graphics highlight the athletic forms of the superstructures. Customers can appreciate the full equipment, which includes front braided hoses and bidirectional Quick Shifter. The windtunnel-tested attributes of the GSX-R1000 are apparent at a glance. In front, the fender uprights multitask as supports for the close-fit fender, but they also protect the swept areas of the fork tubes. The uprights act as shunts to guide the incoming air away from the tube and into the slipstream as it passes over the engine cowlings in a bid to lower drag and improve penetration. Up top, a smoked bubblescreen forms the rider’s pocket with standoff mirrors mounted on the mullions, and I have to gig the factory for missing an opportunity to integrate the blinkers with the mirrors; a fairly major oversight on a bike that could potentially see a track at some point in its life. A compact LED headlight rides recessed between two ram-air induction ports in the tip of the nose, a detail that delivers a roughly 2.5-percent increase in power once you get it up to speed. Clip-on bars pull you forward to encourage a prone riding position and that tendency is reinforced by the jockey-mount footpegs and the flat, forward-sloped top of the 4.2-gallon fuel tank. Saddle height is typically high at 32.48 inches off the deck and this will undoubtedly tax riders with short inseams, but it’s to be expected on a bike that’s built for the bends. Nothin’ for it. An abbreviated p-pad and fold-up footpegs completes the passenger’s package for a brave friend. On the flip-side, strike the footpegs from the bike ahead of racedays and cover the p-pad for a solo/racer look. Aerodynamic considerations dictate the shape of the tail and position of the LED taillight at its terminus, and out back is the usual mudguard/plateholder/turn-signal assembly that concentrates the gear in the rear and makes it easy to remove as a unit if you actually want to race on a track. Overall, the outside of the Gixxer looks pretty much like last year with the exception of the addition of a two-tone paint scheme, but the real magic is hidden beneath the skin. For those who love driving on the track, enthusiasts can count on the GSX-R1000R racing version with exclusive features: Launch Control, Cornering ABS, Showa BFF fork and Showa BFRC lite monoshock. Motorbike is the most exciting medium to travel and we all love it, but sometimes air pollution, dust can spoil riding experience. While riding a motorcycle you have to equip yourself with a wide variety of accessories and gears that provide you the utmost amount of safety. One such extremely important accessory is a face mask that has been designed to protect you from dust and other particles present in the air. Riding at higher speed levels makes your face to come in direct contact with a harsh breeze that can distract you and interrupt your smooth ride. Motorcycle face mask assist you in keeping a complete focus on the road by offering full coverage to your face, head and neck area. Not only: they give protection to the face of the rider from getting frozen in cold weather and it can even be used for securing the face from getting hurt in case of an accident. Also, wearing them under a helmet does not cause any problem for the wearer. Not only wearing helmets is sexy after all ... and in these days, where a terrible and devastating virus is spreading around the world, you have to admit: now more than ever, safe is sexy! *** Helmet style *** *** The GSX-R600 has historically had the reputation as the loony of the 600s class. When Honda was still making the CBR with pillion grab-rails, Suzuki was busy making the GSX-R as aggressive, revvy and track focused as possible. How things change. In its 2006 update Suzuki kept all the good points of the old model, the roomy riding position and sharp handling, but added an even gruntier motor: the result was the Suzuki GSX-R600 K7, where K7 stands for 2007, bike's year of production.  The K7 has been one of the most sought after motorbikes and it is not difficult to understand why: aesthetics are captivating and modern today, the engine has top performance, it is easy to drive and has good reliability. It is not easy to find in good condition, but not impossible. So let's see what its owners think and what to check when buying a used model.  The bike enjoys an excellent reputation as a hypersport bike, certainly not suitable for long trips in pairs, but also less tiring than other rivals.  The braking system is considered valid on the road, but not very resistant on the track, the majority adopts braided hoses and radial pump, a standard equipment for those who turn on the track.  Even the suspensions are judged all in all valid but not at the top to turn on the track; the good starting point, however, allows to obtain a good set up by having a good technician overhaul and work the shock absorber and fork; alternatively, there is the classic rear shock kit and fork pump kits.  As for the engine, it obviously has a lack of torque at the bottom, which is why many adopt a crown with two more teeth, but there are also those who put one tooth less to the pinion. The exhaust system is often replaced, but the real advantages are only obtained with a complete system, eliminating the catalyst and remapping the control unit.  Regarding the control unit, everyone said that it must be reprogrammed by a specialized center, while with the various additional kits, such as Dinojet, there are no big increases.  Common problem for all motorcycles is the voltage regulator and the stator. In case of breakage, the best thing is to have the stator repaired by a good technician who makes a new winding with thicker copper. Every year, people ring in the New Year with goals to live life differently on some level. However, a few short weeks later, many of these very same well-wishers end up discouraged and filled with shame and remorse over their failed attempts to make their resolutions come to pass. Who knows? This may be the second, third, fourth, or 15th year someone has tried to “kick the habit.” After so many misguided attempts, why would they even want to try again? So, if you want to start a new life, take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step. Anyway the first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you want! I made my decision years ago: learning to ride a motorcycle and becoming a biker. Even with a bit of effort (ok, it was way more difficult than what I expected and it took quite a long time) but I did it, and then I felt better and my strength came back: eventually I joined the biker community. There’s a good chance that if someone has to ask us why we ride a motorcycle, they’ll never really understand. For most of us, we ride because we can’t not ride. It's something difficult to be explained, being a biker is something that you feel. Perhaps images are worth more than every word: take a look at German amazing rider and terrific socialite Lucy and her Suzuki GSX-R600. She has that feeling of pure joy after a long ride, something every motorcyclist can relate to. The reason we feel so happy is pretty simple; every twist of the wrist releases adrenaline and that improves our mood and increases pleasure. The Suzuki GSX-S 750 is a 749 cc (45.7 cu in) 16-valve inline-four engine motorcycle made by Suzuki since 2015. The engine of the motorcycle was introduced in a middleweight street-bike called the 2005 GSX-R750. The sports-bike-derived engine has been re-tuned for more usable mid range torque and acceleration at the expense of high end power. This was done in an attempt to make the motorcycle have better commuting aspects. The GSX-S750's predecessor, the GSR750, was sold in the European markets since 2011, while Suzuki sold the same motor bike with a different body model in the USA under the GSX-S 750 name in 2015 and 2016. Comparing the GSX-S 750 with the GSR750, the changes made to GSX-S750 include a new exhaust to comply with Euro 4 and California emission standards, a new tapered handlebar, new swing-arm, a revised air box, and ventilation holes in the bottom of each cylinder to reduce pumping loss and improve power.
