Surviving Mars is such a fun, underrated game. But then I begin to start saying things like "oh and this will be the dome for children's education and this is the dome for retirees and this is the dome for university and every dome will have a perfect design with carefully calculated amounts of water and oxygen and food" and I realize I start to sound like those philosophers with their perfect utopias

Surviving Mars should have a frostpunk mode. Like, a forever cold snap that gets more and more severe until you reach 100% warmth, and you gotta upgrade the subsurface heaters or insulation on domes more and more

One of my colonists was a senior and died of old age and you'd expect, like, a notification of some sort. Like I don't know, "[Colonist] peacefully passed, surrounded by her friends and companions" or whatever.

But NO. I knew she was dead only because I was randomly looking through the dome and saw this :

I saw her goofy ass in the family guy death pose in the middle of the central plaza, like she just collapsed and no one thought of bringing her to an infirmary, although no one seemed really phased by her corpse either, so I guess it makes sense?

Anyways, I think this is a statement piece. If you die, you might as well show everyone. Jesus of Nazareth position, pussy facing the outer darkness of space. She lived, she died, she served cunt.

Okay backtrack. So basically both SHERLOC and WATSON are cameras attached to a robotic arm in search of life on Mars. SHERLOC detects organic molecules and minerals on Mars, and WATSON captures detailed images of the Martian surface to support SHERLOC's analysis.

(Apparently this program was launched a while ago on July 30, 2020. In 13 days our babies are gonna have their fourth Mars anniversary. I’m going to cry.)

In my mind:
