It’s finally here, you think as you glance out the window of your dark room.
Watching the last vestiges of orange and red disappear behind the horizon, you admire the coming night.
The moon hangs high and full, already illuminating the frosted pane.
Without a thought, your finger traces out a single name upon the glass, a smirk tugging at your lips, wiping it away as quickly as you wrote it.
“I’m coming for you….” you whisper, running your tongue over your fangs.
Inhaling deeply, then puffing out a visible breath, you pull on your heavy cloak as you make your way through the large house.
“Going out?” A soft, sultry voice halts your steps.
“Yes, to hunt.”
Your response is soft, masking the excitement behind the simple words.
“Ah, him again? You’re a glutton for punishment, but have fun.  I hope you get him once and for all…” your sister cackles, her eyes flashing that devious crimson you all share.
“Don’t disappoint, sister! Those filthy demons need to know who controls this town…put an end to this silly war once and for all.” Another voice calls from a different room, titters washing through the large lobby as they start to discuss various ways of dismembering a live demon.
A warm chuckle washes over you as you turn to see another one of your sisters watching you from a doorway.
Jackie’s fangs peek out as she tilts her head at you, her tall frame imposing as she gives you a once over.
You share a secret smile as she gives you an almost imperceptible nod, her lip twitching as she winks.
“Don’t waste a moment, sister.  Make sure you’re very thorough….you have a night of fun ahead of you….” Her dark eyes flash as she glances out at the night sky from the large window near the front door.
A smile tugs at your lips as you pull up the hood of the cloak, masking your own flashing eyes.
“Oh I don’t plan on it.”
Tumblr media
The streets are dark, the cobblestone crusted with ice that crunches beneath your boots as you turn down a familiar dark alley.
No light is needed to guide your way; even without the sharpened senses of your nature, you could find your way to your destination without even a single candle.
Skittering noises disturb the quiet night as creatures large and small clear a path for you, sensing the danger you present.
A soft laugh leaves your frigid lips as you glance once more at the silver orb above you.
The longest night of the year.
And you were going to use every moment you had before the sharp sting of sunrise sent you back into hiding.
A grin tugs at your mouth a moment before something heavy bowls into you.
“What’s so funny, Sunshine?” The hiss is almost as sharp as the nails digging into your upper arms, ambushing your merry hunt.
The familiar amethyst framed by the black sclera of the demon’s eyes greet you, mere inches from your face as he pins you to the hard brick wall.
“Don’t you know it’s dangerous out here? Why, anything could come and take advantage of such easy prey.”
His fangs flash as he digs his nails deeper into your icy flesh, letting out a small chuckle of his own.
That confident smile slips as you grip the front of his shirt, a satisfied hum leaving your lips as you spin, his body hitting the wall with enough force to crumble some of the ancient masonry.
“And just who is the prey here, Hellspawn?” Your husky laugh causes his eye lashes to flutter, a low growl leaving this throat as his lips part.
“Let’s find out, shall we?” he whispers softly, his warm fingers encircling your throat as his eyes darken to a deep wine color.
A hiss leaves your curling lips, fingers wrapping around the back of his neck as he pushes you against the opposite wall.
“You’re playing a dangerous game, Sunshine-” the demon growls, but his words are cut off by your own.
“Awww is my wittle cherub afwaid?” your laughter seems to incite the intended response, his clawed hand tightening on your windpipe.
As if you needed air to breathe….
His body presses you against the cracked stone behind you, the broken edges digging into your frigid flesh.
The heat emanating from him warms you as he presses those hot lips to your ear.
“You really love playing with fire, don’t you, Princess? Looks like the game is over before it even begins-” he whispers, one strong arm encircling your waist.  His warm breath washes over the skin of your neck, raising hairs all over your body.
Before he can blink, you thrust him away from you, his eyes wide with shock as his body slams into another wall across from you.
A grin pulls at your lips, touching the claw marks he’s left behind on your neck.  “Tch…always quick to finish, goat boy, can’t a girl have a little bit of foreplay first?”
His raspy chuckle echoes off the walls of the narrow alley as you saunter over to him.  He’s busy brushing off the dust and debris from the wall as you lean against the rusted door next to him.
“Oh Sunshine…you never cease to amuse….” he hums, and with a quickness only matched by your own, he has you through the old,dilapidated door.
Slamming you against the door as it clicks shut, his wicked grin softens as he warms your forehead with his own.
“You are always so colorful with the taunts, Sunshine…” He whispers, leaning back with a grin.
His eyes dance as he studies you, shaking his head with a snort.
“Goat boy? Really?” he says as you cup his face, leaning in to press your lips to his.
“I was inspired!” You tease and his strong arms encircle you once more, this time gently, lovingly.
“So cold, my precious Snowflake….” He pouts and you can’t help but nip at the cute little protrusion.
“Then why don’t you warm me up, my fiery little Demon?” Your eyes flutter shut as you get your first taste of the evening, the tiny drop of blood rich and spicy.
“Of course My Sunshine….” His hands are already pulling off your cloak as his tongue plunges into your eager mouth.
“Yeosang-”, the whimper is almost a purr as his sharp claws tear through your shirt, your fingers already tearing at the front of his pants.
“Has to look like we were-” His tongue swirls with yours, cutting off his words momentarily as he backs you up to the bed near the back of the room.
“-fighting-”
Falling onto the bed, clothes falling in disarray around you, you place your hands gently on your lover’s chest.
His dark eyes study yours, the tips of his claws teasing at the tiny bit of lace you call panties as he trembles between your legs.
“What is it? Are you alright?” He asks, his voice strained.
You reach up, cradling his beautiful face in your hands.
“More than alright. I love you, you know?” you whisper, the dead organ in your chest tingling as he gazes down upon you.
“I know.  As I love you, My Heaven.” He dips his head down to capture your lips softly with his, bleeding off some of his raging heat to balance your chilled mouth.
“Slow it down, My Heart…” you hum, brushing back his dark locks.
“We have the longest night ahead of us….”

The living room was glowing in soft, flickering candlelight, the only source of illumination after Wooyoung had insisted on setting the room up “for the vibes” though he looked more terrified than inspired at the moment.
With San cooped up next to him,Seonghwa shifted uncomfortably on the floor, glancing down at the Ouija board sitting ominously in front of them. He crossed his arms, looking at his two friends in disbelief.
“This is ridiculous.” Seonghwa muttered, trying to keep his voice steady despite the chills creeping up his spine. “I’m telling you, nothing good ever comes from games like this.”
“Oh, come on hyung,” Wooyoung slurred slightly, a sleepy grin stretching across his face. “You promised you’d play along.We need a little bit of Halloween fuunnn…It’s tradition!” He nudged Seonghwa with his shoulder, a tipsy glint of mischief dancing in his eyes with the smell of alchol evident in his breath.
San sitting a little too close to Seonghwa, darted nervous glances around the room. “Honestly, hyung, ju-just… just do it. Otherwise, Woo’s gonna whine all night, and I can’t handle that.” He shivered, wrapping his arms around himself as though trying to shrink into the sofa behind him.
“I’m not playing this stupid—” Seonghwa tried to protest, but Wooyoung interrupted with an irresistible offer, even in his drunken state as words slurred out of his mouth. “I’ll pay for your whole trip to Japan—from food to flights, everything! We’ll be there next week, and if you wanna avail the perks, Park Se-Seonghwa, you better not get up or try to leave.”
Seonghwa sighed, rolling his eyes knowing very well that a drunk Wooyoung is more than a handful to deal with especially when not given what he wants. And that was a lucrative offer to reject. Nodding his head, he gave up on having any chance of escaping playing the game tonight, shifting his attention the Ouija board that sat infront of him. He watched as Wooyoung carefully placed his fingertips on the planchette and gestured impatiently for Seonghwa and San to do the same. Both hesitated a bit before giving up and complying to their friend’s drunken demands as each of their fingers barely touched the wooden triangle.
“All right,” Wooyoung began, looking dramatically serious as he addressed the board. “If there are any spirits here with us tonight, give us a sign.” His tone was clearly exaggerated, in a poor effort to mask his own nerves which did not go unnocited by Seonghwa as he noticed how he refused to meet anyone’s gaze, his eyes glued to the board.
The three sat in silence, waiting and waiting a bit more. Nothing happened, only the distant hum of the refrigerator and a low creak from somewhere in the house, probably a rat or some shit. San’s fingers twitched on the planchette, but he didn’t dare move.
“See ? Nothing. This is a total waste of time.” Seonghwa huffed, attempting to pull his hand back, but Wooyoung stopped him with a pout.
“No! Hyung, we have to be patient! Maybe… maybe they don’t know we’re serious about meeting them.” Wooyoung’s voice faltered slightly as he straightened his posture, attempting to project confidence.
"Uh, spirits? Just so you know, we’re not kidding around or anything!" Wooyoung's voice wavered as he cleared his throat, shooting a nervous glance at Seonghwa and San. "T-This... this isn’t a joke, okay ? We’re, um, respectfully inviting you." He forced out a shaky breath, hands fidgeting as he looked around the dim room. "So, if you could just... maybe show us a little something ? Just a quick... ghostly thumbs up or a nice little breeze or... something cool like that?" He tried to laugh, but it came out tense, his eyes darting around as if expecting a shadow to lunge out any second.
The silence dragged on, stretching uncomfortably, and Seonghwa found himself listening to every tiny sound. The groaning pipes, the occasional rustling of leaves outside the window, even the soft breath of his friends beside him. It all felt so much louder, so much more ominous.
Suddenly, a faint noise echoed from the hallway, a soft creak like a slow footstep pressing into the floorboards, or maybe something… else. All three of them froze, their eyes widening as they looked toward the source of the sound.
“D-Did you… did you hear that?” San whispered, his voice barely audible and shaky.
Wooyoung gulped, his face paling slightly. “It’s probably nothing. Just like… the wind rattling… or maybe an animal outside… or something.”
“Yeah right…” Seonghwa mumbled, his fingers now gripping the planchette a bit too tightly. “You know what ? I think we’ve had enough spooky fun for one night. Let’s call it quits before we actually freak ourselves out.”
Wooyoung opened his mouth to protest, but a louder noise this time from the kitchen cut him off. It sounded like something or someone was scraping against the counter, then a dull thud followed. San’s hand flew to his mouth to stifle a gasp, and even Wooyoung looked too startled to speak.
“Okay, that’s it,” San squeaked, shooting up from the floor. “My parents aren’t home, and I am not spending the night alone in a haunted house.”
Without needing to say another word, the three scrambled to gather their things, practically stumbling over each other in their haste. Seonghwa, still trying to shake off the chills prickling up his spine, grabbed his jacket and ushered Wooyoung and San out of the house, half-laughing at how ridiculous they looked as all three of them darted around like scared bunnies.
Once they were all in the car, the silence lingered for a moment before Wooyoung laughed a little too loudly but his voice was still shaky. “S-See ? Nothing to be s-scared of. It’s all in our heads, r-right ?”
San just nodded furiously while his arms wrapped tightly around himself in the back seat. Seonghwa tried to laugh it off too, but even he couldn’t deny the strange, heavy feeling that had settled around him, clinging him like a chill even after they’d left San’s house far behind.
Little did he know, that feeling wasn’t about to leave him anytime soon.
After dropping off Wooyoung and San, Seonghwa drove home alone, replaying the night’s eerie events, trying to convince himself the strange sounds they’d heard were just some random creaks or the wind outside.Still, San’s terrified face and Wooyoung’s nervous rambling clung to him, making his palms sweaty on the wheel.
Pulling into his driveway, a chill crept over him as he paused, glancing around the empty and eeriely silent street. “Get a grip, Hwa. It’s just some creepy Halloween nonsense.” he muttered to himself, forcing a shaky chuckle. Yet the prickle up his spine only deepened.
Inside, the house felt oddly off, like something unseen lurked in the corners. He flicked on lights as he moved through each room, feeling oddly reassured by the warm glow.
In the kitchen, as he sipped a glass of water, a chill brushed against the back of his neck, making him freeze in place. A faint creak echoed from somewhere behind him, followed by the soft fluttering of wings. His heart skipped a beat as he whipped around to see... nothing. Just the empty hallway. "This is all your fault, Wooyoung." he muttered, frustration creeping into his voice as he blamed his friend for his racing heart.
Heading to bed, he felt an odd, heavy presence around him. Every faint noise, even a creak, a whisper seemed just loud enough to set his heart racing, though nothing ever followed. “There’s no one here but you,” he tried to assure himself, but his voice sounded uncertain even to his own ears. He laid back ulling the blanket up and tight around himself as he tried to shake off the lingering sense that something is hovering in the quiet shadows as he drifted into uneasy sleep.
That night, as Seonghwa drifted off to sleep, he slipped into an unusually vivid dream. The world around him was dimly lit, wrapped in shadows, and the air was thick with the alluring scent of warm honey and spice. His pulse quickened, a mix of curiosity and desire washing over him as he looked around, sensing he wasn’t alone. Then she appeared, a figure veiled in darkness, stepping slowly toward him with an aura that shone so brightly, as if she were trying to bewitch him, inviting him into her world.
Her facial features were blurry, but her lips were clear with an alluring, devilish smirk playing across them, telling Seonghwa everything he needed to know - she wasn’t quite human. Tiny horns peeked through her hair and behind her, dark wings spread out with a graceful elegance giving her an almost ethereal presence. A slender tail flicked playfully as she drew closer, each step tease of what was to come. Seonghwa’s breath hitched as she knelt before him, her fingers grazing his knees, teasing and sending jolts of heat up his spine.
That was when he realized he was completely naked in front of her.
Is this his mind playing games with him? But then, why does this feel way too real? Too good? Her touch, her movement… her glowing and sexy curves… her wings… is she a succubus?
The succubus tilted her head slightly as she looked up at him, as if she were memorizing his face. Seonghwa tried his hardest to make out her features, squinting his eyes. But she swiftly shifted her attention back to his thighs, leaning in as her lips brushed softly against his bare skin, each kiss igniting a fresh wave of warmth that made his head spin. Her touch was feather-light at first, almost teasing, as though she wanted to draw out every tremble and sigh he had to offer. Her hands slid up his thighs, inch by inch, leaving no space untouched, her fingertips grazing his skin with an electric sensation that left him craving more. Seonghwa’s breaths grew ragged as he watched her, his body surrendering to the hypnotic pleasure she brought.
“Wh-what are you doing…” Seonghwa whispered as if she were actually there. Or was she ? Her fingers wrapped around his hard length, her lips holding a smirk as she met his gaze—not literally, but the creature looked up for his reaction. Fully satisfied with his flushed face, her hand began moving up and down his hard length as Seonghwa’s breaths grew deeper and more ragged. Her initially slow pace quickened, pumping his hard cock as if she were prepping him for what was next to come.
Leaning down, the succubus wrapped her lips around him with a warmth that felt overwhelmingly real. Seonghwa couldn’t hold back the low groan that escaped him, his hands gripping the sheets beneath him. She took her time, alternating between gentle sucks and skillful flicks of her tongue, her hands trailing up his torso as if claiming him entirely. Each movement, each touch, felt crafted to drive him to the edge, yet she held back just enough to keep him in exquisite suspense.
Her wings brushed lightly against his legs, amplifying the sensation as she took his hard length entirely into her mouth, her cheeks hollowing as she quickened her pace, bobbing her head up and down while Seonghwa’s red tip hit the back of her throat. Seonghwa’s mind spun, the sensations sending him into a blissful state as his tip made contact with the back of her throat. His toes curled, and his fingers clutched even more tightly around the sheets. Every subtle moan, every breathless sound she drew from him felt real, almost as if she were drawing out his very soul.
While his dilemma over who or what she was kept eating at him, his mind slowly turned to mush as his head was thrown back in the intoxicating pleasure she was giving him, leaving him only wanting more. This otherworldly creature, a succubus to be exact, was giving him… a blowjob?
When he finally woke, he found himself tangled in his sheets, his body damp with sweat and his breathing uneven. His black sweatpants were soaked with white stains, his whole body trembling from the intensity of the experience. He sat up slowly, still dazed, as every detail of the dream lingered vividly, as though she’d truly been there with him.
Seonghwa knew a thing or two about succubi, thanks to his scaredy-cat friend Wooyoung's interest in these horror-ish things and his habit of chewing Seonghwa’s ear off about them every morning on the drive to college.
He tried to brush the dream off as a one-time thing, thinking that maybe it was an aftereffect of them playing that Ouija board game. But it became his nightly torment. Every night, this alluring creature would appear in his dreams and pleasure him, edging the heck out of him but never allowing him release or letting him figure out her face. Each dream grew more intense, her touch more familiar, her presence more demanding. Every morning, Seonghwa woke up flushed, his body tingling with need, his mind haunted by the charming succubus that had taken control of his nights. He tried to shake it off each time, telling himself it was just his imagination and that she wouldn’t come back. But each night, as he closed his eyes, the creature returned, and he found himself helplessly craving more, desperate to uncover her identity.
The next few days went by in a blur as Seonghwa found himself, on a fine evening, exploring the streets of Japan. Wooyoung was keeping his promise of paying for everything Seonghwa touched, but slowly, it was turning into a pain in the ass. Exploring love hotels was not his jam, yet here he was, accompanying his two best friends as Wooyoung dragged San along, excitedly explaining the meaning of each love hotel they passed.
“Sannie, that is the Starlight Inn, that one is The Secret Garden, and that one is my favorite, the Moonlight Suite,” Wooyoung squealed, his arm wrapped around San’s. A kittenish smile played on San's lips as he nodded along to whatever Wooyoung was saying. Seonghwa trailed behind them, not really interested and distracted, his mind haunted by flashes of the succubus from his dreams.
“Seonghwa-hyung, keep up, or else you’ll get lost,” Wooyoung called back, noticing his bored and distant expression. Then Wooyoung wrapped his other arm around Seonghwa, keeping one arm snug around San.
“Hyung, which one do you like?” Wooyoung asked excitedly, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
“Nothing,” Seonghwa replied bluntly, pursing his lips as he had been dragged along enough for one night.
Wooyoung pouted,“Come on, there should be at least one that you like! Else, where are you gonna stay tonight?” he asked, a playful mischief evident in his tone.
“In my hotel room, Wooyoung. And why the hell would I stay in a love hotel when I have my beautiful hotel room?” Seonghwa shot back, half-wishing he could push away the strange longing he felt every night, haunted by the succubus.
“’Cause we checked us out of the hotel, hyung. Tonight, one of these babies is gonna be our home.” Wooyoung gave Seonghwa a cheeky smile, gesturing proudly at the line of love hotels as if he’d done him a huge favor while Seonghwa’s face held a baffled expression.
Seonghwa’s eyes went wide, his expression shifting from surprise to mild panic. “Wait—are you serious? You really checked us out of the hotel ? Without telling me?”
Wooyoung laughed, glancing at San as if they were in on a secret together. “Oh, we’re serious, alright.”
Seonghwa’s gaze moved to San, desperate for some kind of reasonable explanation. “San-ah! You knew about this ?” he asked, trying to appeal to the most sensible one of the group. “I get it for you two, but why was I the only one left in the dark here?”
San scratched the back of his neck, a faint blush coloring his ears. “S-surprise, hyung ?” he offered sheepishly, giving Seonghwa a guilty smile.
Seonghwa shook his head, feeling a mixture of frustration and amusement as he looked at his two friends. “Unbelievable…” he muttered, sighing in as there was no way out of it now.
Wooyoung laughed, pulling him closer as they headed toward a nearby restaurant. “Don’t look so disappointed, hyung. This will be fun, I promise!”. But as his friends laughed and chattered, Seonghwa’s thoughts drifted, his mind unwillingly replaying flashes of his delicous night time encounters with the succubus creature. Even surrounded by friends, he couldn’t fully shake the haunting intensity of his dreams.
After the dinner, WooSan left to book the love hotels while Seonghwa insisted on staying a bit longer, enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant. He soaked in the fact that he was in Japan as the foreign energy of the city buzzed around him. He downed his second glass of beer, the warmth spreading through him as his mind wandered back to the delicious dreams he had been having. His cheeks flushed a soft pink as he sat there, lost in thought, surrounded by strangers, when a light tap on his shoulder pulled him out of his daydreams.
He turned, slightly startled, and found himself face-to-face with a girl. She was dressed entirely in black, from the long coat to the cap that hid most of her face, and a mask that covered everything but her lips. She stood silently for a moment, her presence almost otherworldly, then handed him a tissue. Seonghwa blinked in confusion, about to ask what this was about, but before he could speak, she leaned in close. Her warm breath brushed against his ear, and the familiar scent of honey and spice filled his senses, sending a jolt of electricity straight to his core as she whispered.
“You’ve been dreaming about me, haven’t you, Seonghwa ?” she murmured, her tone was teasing, the words sent a shiver down his spine. “You called me on Halloween night, remember ? So… feel like summoning me again ? The name’s Y/n.”
Is the voice of the succubus creature from his dreams ? Woow..umm..her name’s Y/n…alright woooh!
She spoke as your finger trailed lightly over his hand, a soft, deliberate motion that sent a wave of heat through him. It was so familiar, so hauntingly like the dreams, that Seonghwa’s breath hitched, and his body tensed.
The words, the touch—they were too familiar. Seonghwa’s heart skipped a beat. There was no mistaking it. This was the same feeling he had when the succubus appeared in his dreams, when her touch sent waves of heat through his body, when her lips wrapped around his length, pulling him deeper into a world he couldn’t escape. This was exactly how he felt.
His eyes widened as a faint yellow glow flickered beneath the edge of her cap, catching the light just enough for him to see. It was subtle, yet he could faintly make out her eyes, but it was enough to make his heart race as the blurry face from his dreams was slowly taking shape. That glow reminded him of his dreams, bewitching him as his mind spun with the realization that she was somehow connected to the creature haunting his nights.
She gave him a slow, knowing smile, and without another word, she made a casual, almost teasing gesture as her fingers curled into a 🤙 “call me” motion. With that, she turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Seonghwa staring after her, his pulse hammering in his chest.
He was 99.9% sure now. This was no coincidence. The succubus—the creature from his dreams—had been standing right in front of him, and now she had left him with her phone number on the tissue, daring him to make the next move.
Back in his single room at the love hotel, Seonghwa lay sprawled on the bed, staring at the tissue with her number. “Y/n…Y/n….Y/n..” he mind repeated the girl’s name in the resaturant, your name, as your voice still ringed in his ears.
The thin walls did nothing to muffle the sounds of nearby couples, wrapped up in their own heated moments. He chuckled dryly, thinking he could even hear WooSan somewhere in the mix. Why couldn’t he have some fun, too ? Would you actually show up if he called the number the though ?
On impulse, he dialed your number, half-expecting it to be a dead end or a prank. But the phone barely rang once before a soft knock echoed from his door. He sat up as his heart raced, slowly getting off the bed and opening the door, his breath caught up in his throught.
There you were, standing in all your glory, in the dim light of the hallway, your lips curved in a familiar, teasing smile, your eyes gleaming beneath the cap. You raised a brow, as if daring him to let you in, that same sultry, electric energy from his dreams flooded the room as both of your eyes got locked.
With a whisper of air, you stepped through the door. As you entered, your coat slipped from your shoulders, revealing your true form beneath: a form-fitting, alluring costume that accentuated your curves, framed by delicate, black wings that spread out gracefully behind you. Tiny, glistening horns peeked out from your hair, adding a touch of playful wickedness, and your eyes glowed with a sultry, supernatural light that seemed to shift between crimson and gold. Your ture form appeared infront of Seonghwa as he took the sight in front of him front horn to toe.
“Thought you wouldn’t show up” he breathed, voice husky and low as he stepped towards you. His hands snaked around you waist, brushing against the massive wings. Your cute yet sexy face, the soft glowing skin, the tight and exposing costume, the swell of your breasts, the curve of your hips everything was way too overwhelming and inviting for him to think straight. He rubbed you sides as you leaned in to his touch, settling in his embrace.
“Did you think I’d stay away for long ?” you teased, leaning in even closer so that he could feel the warmth radiating from you. Your eyes, deep and gleaming, locked with his as his fingers trailed lightly across you jawline, tilting his chin.
The tension in the room thickened, his heartbeat drumming fast as you pressed your lips to his, a taste of dark temptation and sweet promises. His hands tightened around your waist while you hands tangled in his lush hair, tugged his root and urging him to deepen the kiss. He obeyed as his free hand cupped you cheeks and his tongue explored your mouth. Biting his bottom lip, you earned a soft groan from Seonghwa as he returned the favor by squeezing you ass.
After a series of lingering kisses and soft touches, you pulled back slightly, watching as Seonghwa caught his breath, his eyes half-lidded with desire. But there was something deeper you needed him to understand something that would change everything between you.
“I think it’s time,” you murmured, fingers tracing his arm. “For you to rest. For this to be real, you need to let go and fall asleep.”
He frowned, holding you closer. “I don’t want this to end,” he breathed, his reluctance evident.
Shaking your head, you smiled gently. “Trust me, Seonghwa. If you want to experience everything I can give, you’ll have to trust me.” Your fingers brushed his jaw, softening his hesitation. “If you let yourself drift off… I’ll come back. Every time.”
He looked at you, confusion clouding his mind. “What do you mean, ‘come back’?” His hand wandered to his waist, and you couldn’t help but smile at the realization that was about to dawn upon him.
“Remember Halloween?” you whispered, watching his eyes widen. “That Ouija board… it wasn’t ordinary. It was made to summon creatures, not just spirits, to bring to life your deepest fantasies.”
His hand drifted to his waist, discovering the small cupid tattoo just beneath his ribs. His fingers traced it, astonished. “T-This… it wasn’t here before.”
You nodded, guiding his hand over it, your fingers tracing its delicate outline. “That mark connects you and me. It allows me to be here like this. But it’s fragile. Break the rules, and I won’t be able to return.”
He blinked, torn between fascination and uncertainty. “What… what rules?”
You leaned in, your lips grazing his ear as you explained, “The rule is simple. To summon me, touch the tattoo, think of your desires… and fall asleep. That’s all it takes. Follow it, and I’ll always come to you.”
His breath caught, eyes darkening with understanding. “So, whenever I want to see you…” His soft gaze locked on yours. “You’ll come back?”
Smiling, you nodded. “Anytime you call for me… I’ll be here.”
He closed his eyes, letting the details sink in. “Then show me, tonight.” His hand cradled your face, pulling you into a deep, lingering kiss.
Your hands rested over the tattoo, and as he relaxed, his breathing calmed. He slowly let the darkness overtake him and finally slipped into sleep. The last thing he saw was the glint in your eyes, promising him the dreams and desires you would fulfill whenever he summoned you again.
As Seonghwa sank further into the dream, the dimly lit room closed in around him, the air thick with the alluring and familiar scent of honey and spice, refilling his senses. His heartbeat raced as he took in the sight of you—a vision wrapped in shadow and light, wings stretched behind you, dark and leathery, more breathtaking than any fantasy he’d ever dared to imagine. The soft glow highlighted the sharp curve of your horns and the glint in your eyes, eyes that burned with a supernatural intensity that sent a shiver through him. Your pupils dilated, swirling with a crimson hue, as your heart raced in anticipation of the upcoming pleasure and danger.
You closed the space between you with slow steps, the fabric clinging to you in ways that left little to the imagination, drawing him deeper and deeper into your hypnotizing spell. He watched, mesmerized, as you settled into his lap, your wings folding around you both like a protective shroud. Your hands found their way to his shoulders, nails sharp enough to tease but not break the skin, your body pressing flush against him.
“Is this… really happening?” he breathed, his voice thick with desire, his fingers tracing the lines of your waist as if familiarizing himself with your body. His touch drifted higher, hands cupping your breasts, fingers kneading the supple skin and drawing soft, gasping sounds from your lips. He rolled his thumbs over your sensitive peaks, feeling them harden beneath his touch as your body arched into him, eyes narrowing with pleasure as the yellow glint shone brighter.
Your lips curved into a teasing smile as you leaned closer, your breath hot against his skin. “It’s as real as you make it,” you whispered, letting your hands drift down his chest before meeting his gaze with an intense stare. Your wings shifted, casting shadows on the wall while the tip of your tail coiled around his wrist playfully, guiding his hand back to your chest, urging him to continue the sweet torture.
“And right now, in this dream,” you said, your eyes glowing brighter, “we’re free from all rules.”
As soon as those words left your lips, he pulled you closer, his hands slipping down to cup your thighs, fingers pressing into the softness there as he guided you over him. Every touch, every movement between you ignited a fire that blurred the line between reality and dream until the world around you both faded into dark oblivion. Your lips brushed against his, softly at first, before deepening into something fiercer and more primal.
His hands wandered up your back, fingertips tracing the sensitive membrane of your wings, sending jolts of heat coursing through your veins. The soft touch drew a moan from you, your eyes fluttering shut for a moment, lips parting to reveal the elongated canines that gleamed in the dim light.
You rolled your hips against him, a delicious friction that made him let out a low, shuddering breath, his grip tightening as he held you in place, urging you to continue. His mouth moved from your lips, trailing kisses down your jaw and across the soft pulse point on your neck. Then, he took a perked nipple into his mouth. The heat of his tongue, the way he nipped and sucked, sent a shiver straight to your core. Your hands clutched at his hair, the sensation heightened as your tail tugged his arm, pulling him impossibly closer.
The room filled with the thick air of anticipation as he shifted beneath you, guiding himself to your entrance. Your breath hitched as you felt him press against you. He was long, which you already knew from having given him a blowjob, but the feeling of his tip pressing against your wet core sparked a fire so hot that it raised goosebumps all over your body. His eyes met yours, a mix of lust and longing that warmed your heart, as if he was asking for permission to claim you completely.
“Yes,” you whispered, your voice laced with need. The word was a command, a plea, and it sent him over the edge. With a slow, deliberate thrust, he entered you, the sensation electric as your bodies joined. The connection between you was immediate and profound as the mark—the cupid tattoo beneath his ribs—glowed with the joining of your bodies.
Your wings fluttered, stretching wide as a cry of pleasure escaped your lips. The room glowed with a supernatural light, shadows dancing wildly as he moved within you, each thrust sending waves of heat and pleasure coursing through you both. His hands found your hips, fingers digging in as he held you close, maintaining his rhythm as your bodies moved in sync.
You rocked against him, meeting his movements with a passion that left no space for doubt or hesitation. His name tumbled from your lips in a chant as the intensity built, a knot of tension that threatened to snap at any moment. His lips found yours again, the kiss searing as his hips snapped forward, pushing you both closer to the edge.
As the world around you blurred, his hands traced your spine, fingertips brushing the base of your wings, sending you spiraling straight over the edge. Your eyes met his, a shared understanding passing between you as the final surge overtook you both. With a breathless cry, you came undone, your body shuddering around him while he experienced his own intense climax, marking you with the last thrust, a bond sealed with the heat of passion.
The afterglow wrapped around you both like a warm blanket, your bodies pressed together, chests moving up and down in unison as you caught your breath. His fingers traced the mark on his waist, now glowing with a warm yellow hue—a proof of the connection between you.
“Remember,” you whispered, your voice a soft reminder, lips brushing against his ear. “If you want me back… just call for me.”
And as he drifted into deeper sleep, the memory of you lingered, the promise of future dreams bound to the tattoo, linking him to you forever.

Angel!San (Ateez) | Caged angst | 0.7k | gn!reader A/N: i saw this prompt somewhere but i can't find it now T-T
Tumblr media
A sharp, high-pitched scream resonates through your room. The sound is aided by rattling of chains, flurry of wings beating against their bindings and pained whimpers. It’s music to your ears. A balm to your tortured soul. Alas, you can’t afford him to be this loud.
“Shhh,” you click your tongue. He’s so quick to obey - try to obey to the best of his ability - that it’s pathetic and almost cute. You twirl the lone feather between your fingers. You bring it to your nose and inhale deeply. They always smell of Heaven when they’re freshly plucked. “Quiet, angel. Or do you wanna go back to your cage?”
“No, no, no, please, I’ll be good,” he whimpers, and you look past the feather at his trembling, kneeling figure. He’s chained so that he keeps still, so he can’t flinch away from you. No more free here than in his cage. You watch him as he takes in deep breaths and slowly calms down until only the large white wings sprouting from his back are shaking. They’re just too tempting.
You reach a hand towards them and see all the muscles on his back tensing. The scent of blood reaches your nose as he bites his tongue to keep quiet. You smirk.
“Relax, San,” you coo, “I’m just going to reward you for listening so well.”
This time you’re nice - so nice, actually, that it almost makes you nauseous. This time, you don’t wait for him to actually relax before you touch his wings as gently as you know how to. You run your hands over the soft white feathers and smooth them out, fix them until they’re nice and neat. Then you keep petting them, mindful of how sensitive the wings of the angels are. San’s body can’t help but react, melting under your touch until he’s putty in your hands. And maybe, just maybe, you like it that way. Sometimes it’s nice to see him happy. As much as you love to see him in tears, this is also good. The small smile tugging at his lips and his wings fluttering, betraying his happiness this time. It’s all about balance.
The magic is lost for a second while you turn back to the scroll on your table and dip the feather in your hand into the blood-like ink, making him tense once more. You chuckle and scratch the space between his shoulder blades just to make a chill run down his spine. Oh how well you know his body.
“Let me work, hm? If you keep being helpful, you’ll get a proper reward,” you hum. You both know it might be a trap, depending on your mood, but to be fair - you’re actually feeling great and you think San knows that as well.
He makes a quiet sound of acknowledgement and shifts his weight on his knees. Perhaps you should get a mat that would be more comfortable, seeing as he spends so much time on his knees by your desk. But that’s for later, now you need to focus on the task at hand. The glyphs need to be drawn precisely, without a mistake, to do what they’re supposed to do. Just one look at them should be enough to burn the angel’s eyes. (And that’s why they’ll be safely locked away once you’re finished with them - which he doesn’t need to know about.)
You must admit it’s easier to focus while playing with the feathers of his wings and San’s occasional involuntary happy hum, followed by a deep, anxious silence full of expectation of a punishment that doesn’t come. As you said - you’re in a great mood today. The white plumage feels just like a cloud. It makes you think of flying, of the sky and sun, of spring and freedom. It’s addictive, really. It’s all his fault that you can’t let him go.
Your mood doesn’t sour, but there’s a bitter leftover in your mind as you think of everything Heaven. You can’t stand it.
“Oh no,” you sigh in mock-surprise, “This one’s dull already.”
It’s not. You know it, and he must know it too. But he doesn’t protest, he doesn’t beg. He only braces himself and screams as you pluck another feather from his wings.
Much better.

Thank you my love for the inspiration, and sharing your amazing artwork with me🥰.
Tumblr media
“Stop looking outside.”
Your boyfriend speaks up slightly startling you, black and gray smoke filled all of outside, it looked like some type of apocalyptic, dystopian nightmare. The government had issued a warning to the world that was now currently being overthrown.
“I’m just curious as to what’s all going on out there Joong. It looks like hell.”
Sighing Hongjoong stands up, placing his phone down. Clearly annoyed at your nosey antics. Making his way over to you, grabbing you hand away from the drapes, pulling you away from the window.
“Curiosity killed the cat.”
“But satisfaction brought it back!”
Rolling his eyes, he kisses the side of your head leading you over to the couch in your shared apartment.
“I don’t think any amount of satisfaction is going to bring back the world.”
Smacking your lips in defeat, you press your forehead against Hongjoongs shoulder, sighing against him in disappointment.
“I don’t even remember what the world was like prior to this.”
He rubs light circles against your lower back trying to soothe you, not wanting you to break out into another rant about how the world is coming to an end. He presses a small kiss to your temple.
“I know..I know baby.”
The comfort in his warm embrace always grounded you, even with the world going to shit, his embrace was home. No matter where life dragged you, if Hongjoong was beside you, you’d always be home.
“Do you ever think things will go back to normal?”
You pull your head off his shoulder to look up at him, a nervous smile lays upon his face. He doesn’t want to lie to you but in the same breath he would tell you anything to make you happy. He lets out a small exhale. Pulling your body even closer to his, putting his forehead against yours.
“I don’t think things will ever be the same in the world but new creations may breed within the new world.”
Kissing the top of your head, he always knew what to say and how to say it. Your anxious state settles to a simmer. Nodding your head, giving him a quick kiss on the lips before parting ways to head to the kitchen.
“Dinner?”
Hongjoong watches you make your way to the kitchen before plopping back down on the couch, picking up his phone again.
“Pizza?”
He says tossing a glance your way, he always looked like a love struck puppy when you were out of the room. He enjoyed being within the same arm distance as you. Would he admit that out loud? No.
“That’s the third time this week you’ve wanted pizza Joong, you need to eat actual food.”
He lets out a small whine, tossing his head back, throwing a mini tantrum like he was a baby who just got told no more candy for the rest of the night.
“Baby please, pizza it gets my creative juices flowing! The pepperoni helps me think. In fact I’m almost done with the song. You are going to love it. I swear.”
Letting out a defeated sigh. You open the freezer, unboxing the third frozen pizza this week. Quickly shooting daggers at Hongjoong before finishing taking the plastic off the pizza.
“When do I get to hear this masterpiece?”
His whole face lights up, music was Hongjoongs passion, the aspiration poured from every pore on his body when he talked about it, he had a natural ear for music, any sound truly, he could make a song out of two pennies smacking the floor, and have it turn out to a masterpiece, you on the other hand didn’t know anything about writing or reading music besides what a treble clef was, yet he was always patient with you, showing you what notes did what, how you could chop and screw certain instrumentals.
“If I get my pizza I might be able to show you a snippet tonight.”
He bites his lip while wiggling his eyebrows. You let out a small laugh, all these years with Hongjoong had been anything but boring. Even if the world was ending at least it would end with you both going down together. Tossing the pizza on top of the pan, letting your oven preheat, you make your way back to the living room, plopping down right besides Hongjoong.
“Pizza?”
You lightly shove his shoulder before laying down on his lap. Closing your eyes.
“Yes pizza you baby, the oven has to preheat first.”
He leans down kissing your top lip.
“I appreciate you.”
He quickly nips the tip of your nose before leaning his body up, making himself comfortable on the couch cushion. Grabbing the tv remote, he decided to click a random channel on, looking for background noise while he edited his latest creation. Your eyes get heavier with sleep. Hongjoong takes notice bringing one arm down to rub small circles against your shoulder. Lulling you into a deep slumber.
Hongjoong couldn’t help but admire your sleeping features. The way your chest rose with each breath you took. The way your lips parted to take in a breath of air. You had him wrapped around your fingers, he was effortlessly in love with you. Putting his phone down, adjusting his position on the couch wanting to bask in this sleeping moment together. Tilting his head back on the throw pillows, letting sleep take control of him.
Tumblr media
The sudden noise from the television causes you to stir, turning your body around you to wince lightly at the light beaming from the television. Sitting up, eyes barely cracked open, you poke Hongjoong lightly on the chest, causing him to lightly smack your hand away. Your eyes are now adjusting to the brightness of the tv. Static noise is bouncing off the walls in your apartment, causing your head to pulsate, shoving Hongjoong once more causing him to whine, cracking open his eyes slightly annoyed.
Grabbing the remote he turns the tv off, seconds pass by before the tv cuts on once more, static filling the room once again. Hongjoong sits up more, clicking the tv off once again, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
“How long have we been asle-.”
The tv cutting on once more cutting him off mid sentence. Chills run down your spine, you are slowly getting creeped out. You throw a worried look at Hongjoong, his eyes not once leaving the tv.
“Hongjoong stop goofing around and cut the damn thing off.”
You whisper lowly.
Letting out a huff he raises the remote showing it off to you, watching him click the power button the tv goes off. He wouldn’t say it out loud but he was getting chills himself. Throwing a glance at you, almost like your emotions were rubbing off on him. Trying to shake it off, blaming it on the state of being woken up.
The tv cuts on once more static noise filling the room again. You scoot closer to Hongjoong, gripping the bottom of his shirt tightly. Not wanting to move away from him. Bringing a warm hand up he rubs your goosebump covered arm.
“Joong I’m scared…”
He bites his lip, choking down the eerie feeling dripping into his bones. Something isn’t right, you can feel the shift in the air. Should he say something to you? Or keep it to himself?
“It’s probably just a short in the cord.”
Standing up he moves towards the outlet, your hand still gripping the bottom of his shirt. Afraid to let him go, was it paranoia? Was it being startled awake that was making you uneasy?
“Baby you gotta let go of me so I can cut the tv off.”
He says through a small chuckle. Causing you to retract your hand. Making his way over to the outlet he unplugs the tv. Holding the cord in the air, waving it around.
“See I told you, probably a short in the cord, or maybe a bad outlet? This building is old as dirt. Plus with all the shit going on outside, I wouldn’t be surprised that technology starts acting up.”
His words reassure you, he always knew what to say and how to say it. Deciding it was best to let it go, you sink further into the couch. Hongjoong plops down next to you. Pulling your body close, missing your warmth. Leaving kisses on your temple, slowly moving down to your ear, nipping at your earlobe you let out a small groan.
“You know…I’m still waiting on my pizza.”
Letting out a huff you shove Hongjoong away from you, causing him to let out a high squeak of laughter. His body flopping over onto the back of the couch, wiping tears from under his eyes like he had just heard the funniest joke of the year.
Standing up you make your way to the kitchen that is now warmer than usual due to the oven being on this entire time. Grabbing the pan with the now defrosted pizza you toss it in the oven, closing the door with a swift bump of your hip. Making your way to the fridge. Grabbing two bottles of water.
“Let me hear a snippet of what you’ve been working on.”
“Nope.”
He says putting extra emphasis on the p. You roll your eyes making your way back to the living room, muffing his head lightly with the water bottle.
“It’s only fair, I woke up and instantly started making your pizza!”
Biting his lip, you can tell he’s slightly nervous, he never settled for just ‘okay’ work; everything he did had to be perfect before he even let anyone take a glance. His fingers anxiously move on the side of his thigh. He’s worried you will not be impressed with what he has, music is his life, but you are his world, even though you knew nothing about music he was still afraid of disappointing you.
He makes a move to grab his phone, throwing you a side glance muttering under his breath that this piece isn’t finished or even close to being done. Yet you could care less, you loved any and every piece of music he worked on, he was a natural. Some people are born with it, some people have to learn it. Joong? Made for it.
Unlocking his phone with a slight jitter in his hands, he goes to his files. You look as closely as you can get, seeing him click the title ‘Guerrilla’ a huge smile takes over your face, feeling giddy that soon you will be hearing the new musical piece he has been working on non stop. Clicking the play button the instrumental hits you right away, you are smiling at the screen of his phone.
You can feel his gaze on you, so intense you could’ve sworn the side of your head was smoking due to the intensity of his stare. Suddenly Hongjoongs voice is heard over the music he’s only a couple verses in before you hear a slight scream before he cuts it off.
You throw your hands up, slightly standing up in disbelief that we could cut it off right before his verse finished.
“Why would you cut it off?! I was listening to that! The screamo was just about to start!”
You say loudly, slightly raising your voice. You stomped your foot slightly, clearly annoyed with him, you kick his ankle slightly. He chuckles, relief washing over him that you were that into the song already. You huff making your way towards the kitchen, oven timer going off signaling you that it was time to grab the pizza out of the oven.
“Maybe when I get some food into my system I’ll maybe, and that’s a big fat maybe let you hear my full verse. May I mind you it isn’t finished yet.”
Tossing the pizza pan on the counter, giving it a chance to cool slightly before cutting it up. You make your way back over to Hongjoong, looking at him with a small pout.
“Can I hear your verse once more, please?”
Biting a smile back, unlocking his phone once more he restarts the song. Once the beat comes in you sit down next to Hongjoong, staring at him in amazement. Your eyes meet each others, sending a warm feeling to spread through your body. The movement ends swiftly due to the tv cutting back on, static noise filling the air. Rolling your eyes you pause the song.
“I thought you left it unplugged.”
Standing up you make your way to the outlet, pausing a couple feet before it. Looking down you realize the tv is still unplugged. A high pitched sound leaves the tv causing you to toss your hands over your ears. Quickly you back away, Hongjoong grabs your elbow making you sit down pulling you close. You were now frightened, the tv was on. How? It was unplugged. Suddenly the tv static cuts off. A voice starts talking.
“There is a disease in the heart of man, the disease is human emotion.”
Your eyes grow huge, heart officially sinking into your feet. Your stomach turns with uneasiness. You feel Hongjoong stiffen up beside you. The air is now thick with anxiety and terror. A group of men in fedoras appear on screen, faces barely shown; you couldn’t even make out their individual features, barely seeing their eyes. The screen glitches causing your breath to hitch. The voice coming from the tv once again repeating.
“There is a disease in the heart of man, the disease is human emotion.”
You clutch the side of Hongjoongs pants clearly terrified. Hongjoongs sweaty hand slips on his phone screen causing the Guerrilla song to start again, your eyes quickly shift down to his phone, the sudden noise causing you to jump slightly.
You move your eyes back to the tv screen to once again see nothing but static. The eerie voice comes out once again.
“There is a disease in the heart of man, the disease is human emotion.”
Hongjoong fumbles with his phone trying to cut the sound off, you grab his phone yourself, clicking the power button on the side to lock the screen, you are fidgeting just as bad as him. You look up at the screen, the fedora men have reappeared. You can’t see their faces yet you feel so much heat, so much intensity, so much pressure from them. The music is still playing, deciding it’s best to just power off the phone. Causing the room now to get completely silent.
“Hongjoong…”
He doesn’t say anything, he can’t. His throat his dry in terror, trying to brave a face for you, glancing down at you. Raising his eyebrows slightly. Signaling to you that you’ve got his attention.
“I’m scared…”
You whisper out so quiet, it comes out lower than a whisper. You look back at the tv screen, the sweat beading down your spine is a clear sign of fear, you are completely terrified. You want to get out of this room, out of this house, out of this world. You want to take Hongjoong, leave, and never return.
You two are attached at the hip. Not daring to leave any space between you two. The oven timer dinging makes both of you jump. Did you set another timer? You had pulled the pizza out to cool, surely no timer was needed. You send a tight lipped smile Hongjoongs way.
“Still want some pizza?”
You sat through a nervous chuckle trying to cut some of the terror tension in the room. He smiles at you, nodding his head. You get up and make your way towards the kitchen. Cutting the oven timer off, along with the stove. Surely you had cut them off earlier?
Pulling out a pizza cutter, placing it on the counter before you get a tingle in your bladder, forgetting you had blown threw the bottle of water earlier.
“I’m going to use the bathroom real fast, then I’ll cut up the pizza.”
You say while scurrying off to the bathroom, quickly trying to make your way to the bathroom before your bladder gives out on you. Hongjoong always joked about how your bladder was the size of a pea. Shutting the door behind you, the feeling of being watched sets you off. You live on the third floor. Surely no one could’ve made their way into your home without you or Hongjoong noticing, right? Swiftly you swing at the shower curtain, punching it just in case someone was standing behind it. Pulling it back swiftly you are met with your and Hongjoongs body care now on the bottom of the tub. Letting out a sigh of relief you pick up the bottles. Feeling like a fool for letting some weird tv glitch get to you in such a way. Spooking you in your own home.
Quickly using the restroom yet you can’t shake this eerie feeling, your fight or flight is on high alert. You finish your business rather quickly. Yet the fear that is now warping itself into your body is another story. The creepy feeling is licking every inch of your skin, saturating you in a strange feeling. Washing your hands you can hear a noise in the distant background, on the opposite side of the door. Pushing your ear closely to the door you can faintly hear the Guerrilla melody playing. Letting out a relieved sigh, Hongjoong must’ve cut on his song again to edit it. Drying your hands on your pants, as you make way to grab the knob, your brain starts yelling at you not to. Your body is on high alert. Thinking you were still scared from earlier you open the door. Fear is now licking the bones of your spine, getting ready to feast upon you like you are its last meal.
Stepping a foot out you look down the hallway. Has it always been this dark? This terrifying? This menacing? You slowly make your way down the hall, fingers dragging slowly against the walls. The closer you get the more you hear the muffled noise of the song. Stepping fully into the living room, Hongjoong is nowhere to be seen. His phone is stuck between the cushions in an odd position. You quickly glance in the kitchen not seeing him in there either. Surely you would’ve heard him pass by the bathroom door…right?
Something small and white catches your eye, in front of the tv is a white box, the size of an engagement ring box. Rolling your eyes you get giddy, was this his way of proposing to you? Was this whole thing a set up to throw you off of his proposal trail? You and Hongjoong had been together for quite some time. He never had a normal way of doing things. The fear now leaving your body you fully walk up to the tv, not even realizing the screen is black, like it has been fully turned off once more. On top of the box is your name in gold encrusted lettering.
Biting your lip, you look behind you, still no Hongjoong in sight, you assume he’s waiting for you to open the box. Completely missing the way a shadow moves in the TVs reflection. Biting your lip, nervous to open the box. You slowly take the top off of it, the box has layers of white and red stained tissue paper in it? Why was the tissue paper wet?
Slowly you remove the tissue, trying to avoid touching the wet substance on it. Fully uncovering it, you let out a scream, completely dropping the box, causing the item in it to fall out, smacking the floor with a wet smack. It was an ear, a bloody severed ear, wait…was that Hongjoongs ear?! Wiping your hands on your shirt, tears streaming down your face, moving back so fast, your brain is running on a million miles, not focusing on much you bump into a hard object, not sure what is behind you, trying to clear your eyes of the pouring tears that are clouding them. You catch the reflection in the tv it’s one of the men in the fedoras from earlier, before you can even scream. He wraps a hand over your mouth, squeezing your face tightly. Causing you to sob harder into his hand.
He brings his lips to your ear, you slightly shift your body forward trying to put as much space between the both of you as you can.
“The disease is human emotion.”
He quietly whispers into your ear. Causing you to let out a muffled cry once more. The tv clicks on, the fedora men appear on tv, you notice only one is missing. You drop down to your knees trying to scramble away from the man. Your face slipping out of his grip, his nails knick your skin as you descend. He grabs the back of your shirt before you can get away. Dragging you towards the television. He puts one leg into the screen dragging your body along with him. Clawing at the floor you are screaming for Hongjoong to help you, not even knowing exactly where he is. Before the fedora man can fully pull you into the tv you catch a quick glimpse of what is written inside the lid of the box that was holding Hongjoongs ear.
‘Are you listening?’ written in what you are assuming is his blood.
The tv glitches, reverting back to the tv static screen, no signal bounces back and forth around on the screen. The apartment is now eerily quiet, with the muffled sound of a distorted version of Guerrilla playing. Is this the new world?
Tumblr media
A/N: Now before anyone says some…I know HalaTeez are good guys, welp…In here they are bad guys😀. We love a group of evil fedora men who overthrow the government. I spent all night working on this, having to take multiple breaks because I was slowly creeping myself out😂. When you are working on something at 3:30am… with lack of sleep your mind starts to become your enemy, I thought a fedora man was going to pop up on my tv at any moment. Once again thank you to my soulmate for sharing their work and letting me add it to the thumbnail. Hope you all enjoy💙!

You always loved your inner circle of friends. Enough that you gave your heart to another, even over a year after such heartbreak of losing Yunho in tragic events. They all helped you anyway possible, but it was Jongho who you seemingly get the closest with Inviting you over after countless times at his home. He wanted to make this time a surprise. Blindfolding you, he led the way.
"My sweet darling, how pathetic you struggle to escape me" His voice condescending while gripped onto your hips. Smirking, though lost in pleasure hearing your whines and cries while he fucked up into you in the chair that centered the circle on the floor of the basement. Slowing down, he half halfheartedly teased you with the pace carefully reaching down gripping the handle of the dagger stuck in the floor.
Still blindfolded, you held his legs trying to make him stop with your safe word. Usually, he’d stop without question. Tonight, he didn’t listen and without knowing the reaction he’d have, scared you the most.
“Don't you trust me? No, maybe it's You that took one of MY brothers away!!” Raising his voice with each word shouting on the last word, dripping venom driven hatred your way. Given no time to process his heart staking words, he stabbed the dagger into your arm then your leg pulling down on the handle with a maniacal laugh. Tearing a wailing scream from your throat, instinct taking over of getting away from him. "Scream all you want, no one going to hear you!!"
“Not yet baby.. We have a little ways to go…” Jongho snarled in your ear leaving you cradling your injured arm against your chest silently crying with your forehead on his shoulder. Hearing dripping hit the floor; you could only listen with fear in your soul as your heart galloped in your chest
Jongho looked around making sure everything was in place in the corners of the ritual insignias within the circle to the candles burning in front of an ancient mirror hung onto the wall. Tossing the dagger gently to one edge of the insignias within the circle watching as your blood dripped onto it. He watched curiously watching a few more drops of your blood starting to spread with nothing happening.  Jongho began to get impatient until the next drop of blood from your body hit another insignia beside the chair causing a phenomenon to begin.
A gentle wind picked up to cause the candle flames to sway. Voices in your head caused you to shiver, quickly covering your ears with a whimper.  Jongho glanced at you for a split second; looking up after seeing the ritual circle glow of reds and purples. The winds picking up rapidly, Knocking over the candles spilling the contents on the floor causing a fire to quickly spread licking the walls and floor in front of the duo outside the circle causing Jongho to go on high alert. He started to move until his eyes widened at the increasing volume of echoed voices from screaming, demonic growls, whispers, and crashes of nearby objects. Holding his hands over his ears after taking so much causing the entity in the room to laugh darkly. The light bulbs began to explode until one remained causing darkness to surround the duo.
Jongho tried to steady his ragged breathing, lowering his hands looking around trying to see into the darkness. Squinting hard, his eyes widened realizing the mirror that once was whole, now was shattered. Swallowing hard he looks down at you shivering holding your free hand on your injured leg with a small groan. Glass crunches in the darkness causing chills down both your spines as footsteps approach. Jongho looked up watching a silhouette of something tall in the darkness circling them slowly much like a predator ready to strike at any given moment.
"What is your reason of summoning me here...?" A deep, yet powerful voice spoke from the dark figure's direction. One that seemingly sounded slightly familiar to you, if it wasn't laced with venomous hatred and snarling undertones.
"I want to see who I'm speaking with so we may discuss the ex-" Jongho stopped seeing the entity step forward from the darkness to the edge of the circle "change.." finishing the word quietly now seeing the figure better. Holding you close with one arm with your head on his shoulder he kept eye contact, though widened looking at the spitting image of his dead brother, Yunho. Sending chills through his spine under the intensity of the deadly gaze. At the same time hearing you whine softly, mumbling something under your breathe bringing your hands up to cover your ears again with what strength you had. Yunho stepped forward in strides through the circle stopping, eyes flashing after glancing at the wounds you bare from the weapon used.
"This exchange you claim was never yours to begin with" Yunho spat coldly looking at Jongho moving his hand slightly upwards. Chains moved from nearby wrapping around Jongho’s lower legs to the chair.
"What do you mean?! I did everything I was supposed to!" Jongho yelled out in anger to the elder. Yunho tilted his head with a stotic face taking a step forward. Leaning down, he gripped Jongho hair roughly, making the younger male grimace being inches away from each other, his eyes blazing pure golden red. His other hand slithering silently over your wounds letting his black fire lick them over. Searing and healing them in the process. Laying his free hand on your hip gently making you jump caressing your skin in soothing motions feeling you shake.
"You're playing a dangerous game, Master. One I won’t let you win” Yunho warned gripping the younger hair tighter in his fingers making Jongho screw his eyes tightly. Using the hand on your hip he cohort you slowly to start standing up making Jongho pull out of your heat. Throwing Jongho head forward with a snarl; he guided you backwards slowly out of reach of the other. Raising his hand and closing it in pure confidence caused more chains to hold Jongho in place. Jongho opened his mouth to protests to come to silence. Being satisfied at the work, he turned his attention to you putting his hands over yours gently lowering them. He squeezed them softly.
“I’m going to take the blindfold off, but close your eyes for me” Speaking in a much gentler tone. You swallowed and nodded. Taking a deep breathe you closed your eyes as instructed. Reaching around, Yunho carefully untied the Blindfold making sure it didn’t tangle in your hair letting it drop to the floor below.
“Do you trust me?” he asked you. You answered yes after slight hesitation making him bite his tongue and closing his eyes only to open them a moment later. Stepping closer to you after a moment of thought making sure not to scare you he made his decision. “Open your eyes for me”
Doing as you were told you opened your eyes slowly. Gasping, with wide eyes made your heart race. “Y..Yunho..?” you whispered not sure if this was a twisted trick of the mind or a dangerous reality. He gave you his sweet smile that you dearly missed. Walking and reaching out touching his hand afraid he’d fade away. When you felt his touch being indeed real, you rushed and hugged him. He reached up with his free hand creating caressing strokes from your hair to your upper back. “I’m here sweet Phoenix” He whispered to you keeping the sweet moment kissing your forehead making your heart flutter. Looking at him to make sure this was real you kissed Yunho catching him off guard. He gave the love in return making you want more.
“Yunho, I need you..” Whispering to him keeping eye contact. He hums pecking your lips looking over at Jongho. He moves his hand slightly causing Jongho to cough, but catch his breathe causing Yunho to smirk looking back at you. “Let’s put on a show for our guest, my love~”
Looking over at Jongho shooting a glare of your own at the person you thought you could trust to not break your heart to be deceitful. Jongho snarled struggling in the binds Yunho put him in. He only stopped hearing soft whispers that sounded close to his ears. Looking around in confusion from where the sounds came from with no source he shook his head shaking them off for him to jump afterwards looking down. His eyes widened seeing one of his fears of a feather crested black serpent covering his lap with its body looking up at him, the flicking its tongue with a warning hiss making him freeze. Yunho chuckled lowly watching the interaction.
“Befitting considering the circumstances of what you’ve done and have become. Now behave and watch the show”
“Whatever happens, let it come naturally. Don’t be afraid” Speaking clearly in your direction giving an affirming nod in return. He smiled kissing your head before he claimed you as his once again. Making sure you felt safe. He went to work prepping you, closely watching all your reactions and praised you lovingly. Hoisting you up to have you wrap your legs around him. He hummed in contentment lining up with you. Sinking into you slowly with a moan in sync with yours. “Fuck, you feel so good” Tilting his head back in pleasure until he bottomed out. You took deep breathes letting the pain recede. Tapping his arm was a signal that he followed pulling out then back in picking up a steady pace after a few thrusts. “That’s it, take all of me!” Growling deeply by your ear moving to the wall. Holding you closely with one arm using the wall as leverage; he picked up his pace thrusting into you. Hearing your moans sounded like a Siren’s song to his ears, alluring and addictive something he'd never get enough of.
“Daddy” Moaning out causing him to go faster, losing control. He growled emitting purple energy and black flames to erupt on his being engulfing his very being, changing him to what he truly is. “Say it again” Speaking deeply trailing a growl. Slamming his armored claws into the wall near your head forming cracks jolted you to open your eyes. You gasped now seeing what changes took over. He slowed his thrusts looking at you with a devilish smirk letting you see. Genuine curiosity took over long enough to catch the black armor on his legs and arms, his draconic features from his tail, eyes, horns, fangs, to his tattoos and his insignia. “Mmmm~ Like what you see, my guiding light?” Thrusting hard into you making you moan “Use your words” He growled by your ear.
“Yes daddy! Please go- AH- faster!” Yunho chuckled kissing your forehead and lacing one armored hand to your soft one. “As my baby wishes~ Shall be done!” He picked up pace loosing all self control with you. His black flames licking his skin burning over to you. Upon contact started to consume your being with no damages. It however created something special. The flames changing colour to Inferno orange shaping behind your back creating large wings, eye colour changing to a crystal purple, with any tattoos to glow simultaneously with his own. Yunho opened his eyes in amazement  feeling pride spread in his being. “My baby looks so damn ethereal!” he moans out feeling your walls clenched around him. “That’s it. Cum for me. I want your essence” Biting your neck causing you to be driven over the edge. He became sloppy with a few more thrusts releasing within your walls with a strangled moan riding out both your highs. He nuzzled into you taking care of the bite marks he left. “Mine” he softly growled staying in you for a little longer causing you to giggle and kissing his cheek. The fire that surrounded grew bigger before receding over your being healing any wounds and leaving a warm feeling.
“We belong to each other” He smiled hearing your words pecking your lips.
“How are we going to do this? I don’t want to leave this world and people might suspect things if they see you again”
“I mean there is always the options of being a pet or being attached to a piece of jewelry. I wouldn’t be far either way”
You nod thinking it over before going to having him as a pet. He pulled out of you kissing your head helping you get dressed agreeing with your decision. Yunho looked over at Jongho shaking in anger and fear. Walking over, Yunho locks eyes with the younger with a victorious smirk.
“What are you going to do to me?” Jongho questioned glaring. Yunho tilted his head bending down resting his arm on his leg locking eyes.
“That fate was already decided long ago. Ironic, how a serial killer doesn’t do deep research on rituals before doing them”
Jongho snarled and started thrashing, screaming in pure anger. He heard the hiss stopping taking rapid breathes, but keeps a glare on Yunho.
“I’m just playing the villian just as you wanted, but I’m taking what’s mine. I won’t leave you without company” Standing up he stands proud and tall. Turning he comes your way making sure your ready.
“I’m going to send you back to hell where you belong!!” Jongho yelled louder causing Yunho to laugh darkly, turning fully holding you against him.
“By the time they find your body, there wont be anything left to identify. Scream all you want, no one living will hear you…” Yunho coldly spat. He lead you to the stairs letting you go up first halfway turning to catch Jongho shake seeing the other people in the darkness though four stood out under the light. Heading upstairs he left them to join you closing the door to the basement to a crack.
Hearing the final light burst, you closed and locked the door muffling Jongho’s final screams as you both leave.
“Hongjoong, Seonghwa, San, Minho, Mingi… please no!!!”

dragon shifter!park seonghwa x f!reader
just because you're both dragon shifters doesn't mean this courtship thing is easy.
▷ 6.1k words, pg-13, f2l, dragon shifters au, urban fantasy, swearing, mentions of a big roach/insect, shoulder kiss, seonghwa goes shirtless once (1), mentions of courtship/mating traditions, the boys are implicit in shenanigans ofc, love in the form of jewelry, very mild jealousy, pining
a/n: this au idea was like ,,, 3 months in the making but i reopened the draft yesterday cuz i was tired of rotting 😭 anyways... i think shy, romantic seonghwa is cute ! (also very much hoping this isn't too boring jsfnkdnf)

Park Seonghwa was pretty sure he fell in love with you the day you met.
It wasn't something he openly admitted to, especially since his attraction had come first when he saw you across the dormitory common room, and was struck dumb by the curve of your smile and the way the sunlight hit your irises to make them glint like jewels. While it was stereotypical to think that dragons only cared about appearances, it didn't come from nothing. It was part of the reason why Seonghwa didn't like saying it was love at first sight; it technically wasn't, by all definitions. He just thought you were beautiful.
It wasn't until he finally worked up the courage (thanks to his best friend Hongjoong's encouragement (shoving)) to introduce himself to you that he realized what you were—a dragon shifter, just like him. It was no wonder he felt a pull toward you; dragon shifters were a dime a dozen, especially in the city where you both attended university. He told himself his fast friendship and bonding with you came from his excitement of being the same species, as well as learning each other's cultures and traditions, as you came from different clans.
Though, that didn't account for the amount of times he daydreamed about adorning you in his family's jewels, as it was customary in courtship traditions to wear one's mate's gems. Neither did it account for the way his heart beat faster whenever you were around, the purring from his chest after that one time you fell asleep on his shoulder… It was complicated.
“Everyone, let's load up the cars! Quick—off your asses. Let's move, people!” Hongjoong hollered like a drill sergeant, his hands cupped around his mouth before clapping too loud for six in the morning on a Saturday.
Who in their right mind would be crazy enough to wake up so early on the Saturday of their last spring break? Only one demon in particular, and his name was Kim Hongjoong.
Seonghwa was still half asleep, his eyelids droopy and his limbs even droopier. He nearly flopped face-first onto the pavement outside the apartment complex. He slung his duffle bag over his shoulder and slumped over to the passenger side of the SUV. It had taken all of his willpower to not trudge out in his Lego Movie pajama set.
“—and for goddess's sake, where is Yn?”
He jolted upright. “Yn?” He blubbered, head going on a swivel.
Hongjoong peered at him weirdly with his hands on his hips, and Wooyoung snorted, then scurried past to avoid Seonghwa's scowl. “Yes, Yn,” Hongjoong said. “Are you awake, Hwa? We literally talked about Yn coming on the trip with us last night.”
Oh. Right.
Seonghwa blinked his bleary eyes open and nodded sheepishly. Thank goodness he wasn't in his Lego Movie pajamas. “Y-yep, of course I remember!”
He glanced away, nostrils flaring as he caught onto a familiar scent coming down the street. He could pick out the smell of apple blossoms, tangerines, and your particular musk from a mile away if he was more awake.
“Sorry, I'm late!” Then there came the voice. Your voice simultaneously jump-started his heart and made his heart swoon. If he was about to faint, it probably wasn't going to be from sleep deprivation.
He couldn't believe he nearly forgot you were coming to the lake with them.
Your form came into view, your hair a windswept mess and a sheepish sort of smile on your face as you wrestled with the duffle on one shoulder, your backpack on the other, and a paper grocery bag.
Seonghwa practically fell over himself in order to drop his own bag on the sidewalk and rush over to you. “Here, I got it,” he murmured, taking the grocery bag and duffle bag away from you so he could hold them.
Your smile widened at him, and he swore the soft morning light was purposefully making your eyes glow right now. “Thanks, Hwa. Very sweet of you.”
“Of course,” he said with a humble nod, pointedly ignoring all of the looks he was getting from his friends.
“You're just on time,” Hongjoong greeted you with a small smile. “How were exams for you?”
You brushed a hand through your hair, a tired laugh falling from your lips. “They were… alright,” you opted to say. “Glad they're over now, and I'm so ready for this trip.” You gestured to the grocery bag Seonghwa held. “Oh! I brought snacks, by the way.”
Mingi stuck his entire upper body out of the passenger seat of Yunho's sedan. “Yn-ah! You're riding in our car, right?”
Seonghwa's expression molded into something sour. “Where did you get that idea from?”
“Mingi, you should just give up now,” San chuckled. He sent a wink over to Seonghwa, then glanced back at the naiad who's head Seonghwa was currently trying to glare a hole through. “We’ve already claimed Yn for our car.”
You looked on in confused amusement. “I'll split the snacks between the cars, guys. And plus, the SUV will have more room than the sedan.”
“Exactly,” Seonghwa piped up. He marched over to the back doors of the SUV to safely deposit your things within. There was no need for you to be squished between Yeosang and Jongho in Yunho's comically tiny car, when you could be in the same car as him—no, wait. That wasn't what he meant—
“Well, this is just favoritism,” Yunho jested as he slammed his trunk shut. He shot you a sunny grin that made Seonghwa glance over at you for your reaction. Yunho's being half-siren always made his voice and gestures a little more silken and sweet than the rest of them. “Are you sure it's 'cause of the extra room and not because Wooyoung's cat is gonna be in that car?”
You chuckled, shrugging. As if on cue, a lithe feline in silky black fur trotted out from the bushes. She strutted over to you, purring as she wrapped her tail around your calf. “Okay, maybe you caught me,” you said, crouching down to pet Wooyoung's cat familiar.
Seonghwa was not going to be jealous over a cat. He was absolutely not. Some sleep would screw his head on straight—yes, sleep did sound nice. He didn't know what was up with himself this morning.
“Pretty sure she loves you more than she loves me,” Wooyoung pouted as he stuck his head out of the SUV's back window.
You picked the feline up with your hands, and she gave a crooning meow as you held her up to her witch through the window. “I wouldn't mind adopting her if she wasn't permanently bound to you.”
Seonghwa's eye twitched at the same time he and Hongjoong made eye contact.
The demon's mouth curled into a knowing, teasing smile—I see you. Seonghwa could feel the heat lift to the surface of his skin as he ducked into the car. He really needed a nap.
The remainder of the time was used swiftly as everyone finished packing things into your respective cars, including your bodies. About an hour later, you were well on your way out of the city.
As this was all nine of yours last year of university, this spring break needed to be a memorable one. Yeosang had heard talk through the grapevine of a collection of interlinking caves overlooking a small lake. It was located a few hours out of the city proper, but it would pose as a peaceful getaway for the week. Each of the small caverns were open facing, peering over the water's surface, and each was designed to be like rooms in a house. There would be enough for the boys to sleep two to a bed, with you getting your own.
The drive out of the city was an easy one. Seonghwa slept nearly the entire time, only waking up to a near-quiet car, save for Hongjoong's choice of music playing softly from the radio.
“'Morning,” Hongjoong murmured, taking his eyes off the road for a brief moment.
Seonghwa yawned and turned his eyes up and outward at the world around him. Concrete jungle had become emerald green trees speared with beams of buttery sunshine. He bet it smelled glorious. “Morning,” he said back quietly. “Are they still…”
His voice trailed off as he twisted around in his seat and took in the middle row behind him. You, San, and Wooyoung were squished arm to arm, thigh to thigh; Wooyoung's black cat familiar laid fast asleep in Wooyoung's lap, with Wooyoung's head against San, San's head against you, and your head against the car window. Seonghwa cooed to himself at the sight, carefully snapping a picture with his phone, before returning to face the front.
The remainder of the drive was swift, and as you approached the site of your home for the next several days, you all slowly began to wake up. Seonghwa rolled his window down and braced his arm over the open sill, a smile breaking onto his lips as he greedily inhaled the clean, crisp air.
His eyes flickered to the side mirror, locking gazes with you. For a moment, he held your eye contact. He watched your mouth curve into that pretty smile of yours that made his insides flutter, before you looked out at the forest again.
When Hongjoong's and Yunho's cars broke out of the trees and into the next clearing, everyone's breaths stole away.
“No way we scored this good,” San whispered in giddy excitement as he shoved his body between Hongjoong and Seonghwa to peer out the front windshield.
Before you stood a wide lake, its waters so clear that one could see straight to the bottom. The caverns that you would all bunker up in were on the far shore, stacked atop one another in two layers with four openings on the bottom and three on the top. A waterfall curtained off two of the cavern rooms as it flowed from the rocky outcropping that loomed over the lake, and into the lake itself; the sound was not thunderous, but a dull sort of roar that was almost muffled.
With the sun rising higher into the sky, its beams reflected off the cascading spray of water to create a small rainbow in the mist. Suffice to say, the view in front of you deserved its own magazine.
“Let's get our spring break on!” Wooyoung hooted as Hongjoong pulled the car around the shore of the lake to reach the base of the caverns.
As the day sank from late morning to early afternoon, you and your friends transferred all of your belongings from the cars and into the caverns. Rooms were decided by an efficient round of Rock Paper Scissors—you luckily scored first, and chose the most private room behind the waterfall for yourself.
Once everyone was settled, it became a race of who could get into the water—
“WAAAAHOOOO!” SPLASH!
—first.
Seonghwa peered out from the living room cavern on the second floor to see the bodies below take a running start into the lake. He chuckled to himself, leaning his hip against the wall with a can of soda in his hand as he watched his friends break the surface of the lake, one by one.
“You're not swimming?”
Seonghwa nearly fell forward and out of the open cave, down into the water. His hand slapped against the wall to catch himself, his heart practically tumbling out of his chest anyway.
To your credit, you looked apologetic, grimacing through a smile as you came to stand next to him. “Sorry. You didn't hear me come in?”
You had changed out of your T-shirt and shorts from earlier into a cropped tank top and loose skirt, a silver waist chain winking up at him from where it linked around your belly.
The thought shoved itself into his brain—that you would look terribly divine in his jewelry.
He swallowed, dragging his eyes up back to yours. “I didn't,” he admitted sheepishly. “Guess I was too focused on watching everyone else. Have you settled in alright?”
You had chosen the cavern bedroom right next to the living room, but it was the only bedroom on this level.
With a nod, you turned your gaze outward at the ocean of emerald green trees surrounding this little oasis. “I have,” you said pleasantly. “You?”
“Same here.” He carded a hand through his hair. “It's really quite beautiful here.” But not as beautiful as you.
You glanced over at him again, and he wondered if he could concoct enough things to say to keep your attention on him. “Oh, I definitely agree; it's a perfect paradise, really. The waterfall” — you inclined your chin to your left — “I think it'll be most beautiful at sunset.”
He lifted one of his brows and pushed off the cavern wall. “Oh? Why do you think so?”
“If the sunset faces us,” you explained, gesturing your hand out to the eastern horizon in the distance, “then it'll reflect its light against the waterfall. As the sun sinks down and lights the sky on fire, so too will it set the water aflame.”
Seonghwa could envision your words in his mind's eye as he took in the waterfall careening into the lake below. Its crystal blue waters were so clear that it undoubtedly would reflect the shades of the sunset, and become illuminated as you said—where water turned to flame.
A soft smile came to his face. What a gorgeous image.
“I bet it'd look incredible from the skies.” Your words drew him back to your face. You were already looking over at him, and his heart gave a loving lurch.
Seonghwa cleared his throat. “I agree. Have you been able to stretch your wings recently?”
You hummed, tilting your head from side to side. “Not super recently because I was locked inside to study for the last week or two. You?”
“Same,” he chuckled and reached behind his back to scratch at the nape of his neck. Usually, he tried to shift into dragon form at least twice a week to keep his wings strong, but when life got busy, it was difficult to find enough time to take to the skies. “Would—would you like to take a flight with me sometime?” He stammered, fumbling over his words. “Just, y'know, like a casual thing.”
Excellent, Hwa. The spitting image of confidence.
He sipped on his soda, already hearing Hongjoong's exasperated sigh in his ear.
Your smile softened at the corners. “I'd love to. After dinner, maybe?”
His shoulders loosened in relief. “Sounds like a plan.”
Tumblr media
“This is your chance! It's a sign!”
Seonghwa frowned at his reflection in the vanity mirror as he played around with his dark curls. Tied up? Kept down? It really didn't matter; he was literally going to be a dragon for the majority of the time, but it never hurt to appear well-groomed before a potential… ahem, friend. A friend.
Hongjoong slumped down on the foot of their shared bed, a deadpan on his face when Seonghwa continued to ignore him. “Park Seonghwa, so help me, I will plant one of your anklets in her jewelry box—”
“And if you do that,” Seonghwa drawled as he gave up on his hair and reached for the tube of lip gloss on the vanity top, “I will tell that elven girl you've become so fond of about how you—”
“Okay, I got it,” Hongjoong cut in with a scowl. “Aish, so touchy. I'm just saying that this trip is the perfect opportunity to let her know how you feel, and to court her.”
Seonghwa knew that; of course, he fucking knew that. The thing was that if anything went poorly, you would practically be stuck here with him until the end of the trip. He cringed to himself at the mere awkwardness of that potential outcome. “It's just a wing stretch,” he reasoned aloud to himself. He grabbed one of the bottles of cologne on the table to spritz around his scent glands. “It's not like I'm going to offer her a necklace.”
“Yes, because you need to smell nice for a wing stretch.” Hongjoong fell back onto the bed with a grumble under his breath at Seonghwa's stubbornness.
Dinner had finished up about fifteen minutes ago, and while everyone departed to do their own activities, you and Seonghwa agreed to reconvene at the tops of the caves in five minutes for your planned flight together. The days were growing longer as spring waltzed toward summer, and thus, the sun reigned the skies for a lengthier period of time. The two of you would ideally circle back in time to watch the sunset hit the waterfall.
Seonghwa left Hongjoong to their quarters as he made his way up to the rocky outcropping at the top of the waterfall.
You were already waiting for him, your bare feet standing in the shallow end of the river leading down to the waterfall. You still had on the top and skirt from earlier, and as a light breeze wafted past, it blew through your hair and your clothes like a dream.
You glanced up at him. “Ready?”
“Whenever you are.” He grinned as the anticipation and excitement of breaking his wings free slowly bubbled up into his chest. It wasn't only being able to spend time with you, but simply the thoughts of being his dragon self that made him so giddy.
You hopped out of the river and padded across the soil toward him.
Once you were in line with him, Seonghwa flashed you a wide smile and sprinted toward the cliff edge. Your laughter followed him as he dove off toward the water below, eyes falling closed as he relished in the wind whipping past his skin.
When he opened his eyes, he skimmed the water's surface with the edge of a veiny, membranous wing, before swooping back up toward the ripening sky above. His humanoid features had fully transformed into that of a creature nearly five times his human height. Scales of obsidian, gleaming a dark blue in the light, rippled across his back, his skin. He huffed steam from his nostrils and searched for you.
A body of iridescent white, so pearly that you appeared a shade of light purple in the burning gold light, blurred in his periphery.
He whipped his head in your direction, watching you soar around him in a loose circle. You wrapped around him and grazed the end of your tail against his, a caress.
He didn't want to think too much about that.
And then your irises, blue-purple in this form, were blinking at him. Northward? Your snout gestured in that vague direction.
Seonghwa huffed his agreement, and the pair of you took off into the skies.
Tumblr media
A dragon shifter's courtship traditions were different from other shifters’ cultures. For one, the value of wearing a potential mate's jewelry was equivalent to acceptance of courtship; additionally, wearing one another's jewels essentially spelled out a long-term partnership. It was similar to humans’ exchanging of rings.
Dragons dressed their mates in their own jewels as dragons were ruthlessly protective of their hoards of treasures, and a mate was even more precious than any jewel one could acquire. There were other rituals, too—such as dousing one another in dragonfire, performing a certain mating dance, consuming meals made by their mate—but the jewels had always been emphasized in Seonghwa's clan.
It was why he stiffened when he saw a slim, silver chain wrapped around your ankle this morning.
The piece of jewelry looked awfully similar to something he owned, except the one you wore was studded with an amethyst on the tail, whereas the one he owned was studded with sapphire. He struggled to swallow as he stepped into the kitchen, eyes pinned to your ankle.
The way the light refracted off the gem made the article appear so much like his own jewelry; his heart could not take a scare like that so early. Perhaps scare wasn't such an accurate word—he simply hadn't had the time to mentally prepare.
It didn't matter how long he'd fantasized about it. Seeing the real thing would likely bring him to his knees regardless.
“Hwa,” your amused chuckle greeted his ears as you peered at him from over the rim of your coffee cup. “Good morning.”
He tried for a smile and forced himself to look at something, anything, other than your ankle. “Hi. Good morning.” Seonghwa grabbed a cup of his own to pour a helping of the brew into. “Sleep well?”
You rolled your shoulders back, followed by your neck. But as he blew on the hot coffee, he failed to notice the way your eyes watched his movements regarding the coffee. “Mhm, way better after we flew last night.”
Seonghwa hummed warmly. “Yes, same here.” Last night was a blissful night of deep sleep. The tension between his shoulder blades had lessened considerably.
He took a gentle sip of his beverage, and the rich bittersweetness hit him as an alluring wakeup call. You were still watching as he took a larger gulp.
His eyes met yours. “Something wrong?” He asked, licking his lips.
Your eyes widened. “Nope,” you squeaked out. You coughed, setting your mug on the table to lace your fingers together. “Uhm so… thoughts on kebabs for lunch? I was gonna go hunting later.”
“Mmh.” Seonghwa drained his cup of coffee. “That sounds good. I can go with you—if you'd like,” he added swiftly. Sometimes hunting could be a therapeutic solo trip and he hoped he wasn't encroaching. Though, going hunting just the two of you sounded nice, too.
“I'd love the company,” you said. When you smiled, his own widened.
The brief moment of peace the two of you shared shattered as two bodies barrelled into the room, followed by another set of thundering footsteps behind them.
“YAH! Choi Jongho, I know this was all your idea!” Wooyoung appeared in the doorway of the kitchen, drenched from head to toe with dark and damp bangs hanging in his seething eyes. A puddle was beginning to form beneath him as he glared at the two giggling imps cowering behind the opposite end of the counter.
You and Seonghwa connected gazes across the chaos. Good grief.
From behind Wooyoung's calf, another creature poked her head out to hiss at the perpetrators. Wooyoung's cat familiar looked akin to a wet rat, the poor thing.
“Seonghwa hyung, do something!”
Seonghwa's eyes drifted over to Jongho and Yeosang, who flashed him a pair of sheepish smiles. “Aye… both of you. Now.”
“We didn't get water on San,” was what Yeosang offered with a shrug.
That seemed to not be the answer Wooyoung was looking for. If the witch was a dragon instead, Seonghwa was sure he would be blowing steam out of his ears. “Are you kidding me? I am going to hex you so badly, you will never know a day of peac—”
Jongho suddenly yelped, startling everyone as he leaped a couple feet in the air and ran to crouch beside you at the breakfast table.
“What, what? What is it?”
Yeosang's eyes had widened to the size of globes, too, as he scurried backward to the edge of the cavern. His stare was still pinned to something on the other side of the counter.
Seonghwa peered over the ledge and swore sharply. “That is the biggest fucking bug I have ever seen in my life,” he said with his hand pressed to his face, stressed.
Wooyoung had magically disappeared, and his cat had retreated alongside him. If even the cat didn't want anything to do with the big hunk of insect—
“AH-AH! HYUNG, IT'S MOVING!” Jongho screeched and grabbed the back of your chair to hide behind you.
Seonghwa paused at that action, but snapped out of it when he saw the legs peek out from around the corner. “Can someone get Yunho?”
“Ohhhhh, I'm too young to die,” the youngest whispered toward the ceiling, his face contorted in fear and anguish; it was a rare thing to see from Jongho. “Yn, please, flame its ass or something!”
You sputtered, curling your feet up onto your chair with you in case the bug came scuttling toward the table. “Uh no. Yunho would literally flame me if I did!”
“Screw what he thinks. He's not here right now.”
Seonghwa clambered up onto the counter and peered over the edge again. He slapped a hand over his mouth after seeing the bug for another time. “Okay,” he said carefully, “on the count of three, we're all going to run for the edge and jump into the lake.”
Three nods from around the room.
“One…” Everyone shifted an inch toward the cave opening. “Two…”
The fuckass bug moved.
The countdown was abandoned—Jongho ran for the opening and tackled Yeosang into the water. Seonghwa leaped over the remainder of the countertop in time to swan dive into the lake beside you. His body sliced into the water like a hot knife through butter, and the lake's cool temperatures engulfed him in a refreshing embrace.
Your head popped up right beside him and you shot him a laughing grin. “Well, that's definitely one way to start off the day.”
He laughed alongside you, slicking his wet hair back and out of his face. “I mean, we were gonna end up in the water at some point,” he mused.
“True.” Your eyes zeroed in on something just below his jawline. You swam a little closer, and Seonghwa's heart catapulted into his throat. “You have a little, uhm, watercress…”
Your fingers brushed over his collarbone as you gently plucked the strand of watercress out from the links of the necklace sitting on his sternum. You lifted the plant up as if to say, 'Ta da,’ before pausing at your physical proximity.
Seonghwa watched as a drop of water dripped down the middle of your face, down the slope of your nose, and slipped over your plush lips. Woah…
He had half the mind to reach out and thumb it away.
“Two dragons, a fae prince, and a water mage couldn't handle a fucking roach?”
You and Seonghwa jolted away from each other like similar poles of a magnet, heat rushing up to the surface of your skin. You both tilted your gazes up to the caves and saw Yunho appear at the mouth of the kitchen, a wide grin on his face as he held the bug up between his two fingers.
“That sounds like a joke I've heard before,” San laughed as he walked up next to Yunho. He waved down at the lot of you in the water, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes.
Wooyoung peered out from behind San. “Instant karma!” He hollered.
“Come down here, and we can talk about instant karma,” Jongho threw right back up at him. He flicked his wrist and sent a jet of lake water up to the cave mouth, hitting Wooyoung square between the eyes with scary accuracy.
San howled in laughter as his friend hissed from the friendly fire.
Seonghwa loosened a warm chuckle before turning toward you—wait. Where did you go? He twirled around in the water, eyes scanning the lake for where you'd gone.
“Hwa!” You were by the far shore, raising your hand up to wave him over.
He didn't hesitate to swim over toward you. The two of you swam over to the furthest edge of the lake, far from the others. The morning sun had not yet crested high enough to penetrate through the trees here, and that left you both in a patch of dreamy shade where long leaves dripped into the water like Mother Nature's curtains.
Seonghwa clambered out onto the bank and yanked the hem of his shirt up and over his head. The material had stuck to his skin like glue, and he was a lot more comfortable without it on.
Behind him though, he swore he heard your breath hitch.
The corner of his lips curled upward in satisfaction. He continued to feign ignorance as he wrung his wet shirt out, arm muscles flexing as the water trickled out of the fabric. “You coming up, love?” He asked casually, peering over his shoulder at you lingering in the water.
You cleared your throat as you pulled yourself onto land. “Y-yeah,” you said, covering your stammer with a breathy laugh.
“Cold?” He teased, finally turning his body to face you in full.
You passed him an expression of playful exasperation. “Freezing,” you jested back. It was difficult for dragon shifters to be cold; the amount of heat either of you generated on your own was enough to keep you warm all the time. After all, you did spew fire from your mouth on occasion.
Seonghwa whipped his shirt out in front of him and blew a breath of steam through it. The fabric dried up fast, but instead of putting it back on, he slung it over his shoulder.
An idea plunked itself into the forefront of his mind. “Shall we hunt?” He asked and extended a hand out to you.
He saw the flicker of blue-purple in your irises—like lightning—as you brushed a lock of hair from your eyes. You took his hand, your fingers and palms slotting together like matching clasps of a chain. “We shall.”
Tumblr media
Seonghwa sat at the vanity table in his and Hongjoong's room. The world beyond the mouth of this cavern was a dark sapphire, embroidered with small diamonds in its fabric—the night sky and its stars. The muffled rush of the waterfall nearby played in the background as he sifted through his traveler's chest of jewelry and gemstones. Hongjoong had half fallen asleep in the hot spring somewhere behind him, so Seonghwa was taking this time to pick out what he wanted to wear to… tomorrow…
His hand movements stilled as something caught his eyes in the chest of shiny stones. He held his breath, carefully withdrawing a silver chain out by its amethyst stone. There was no question about what it was and that it didn't belong to him.
Your fragrance still lingered on the metal, though cool from being away from your body heat for a while.
Seonghwa breathed out loudly through his nose as he stared at the article in his palm.
He could hear Hongjoong emerging from the hot spring pool. “Something wrong, Hwa?”
“Did you” — Seonghwa's brows furrowed and he twisted around on the vanity stool — “steal her anklet?”
Hongjoong frowned, wrapping a towel around his waist before coming to stand beside his friend. He peered down at the article, reaching out to touch the anklet.
Seonghwa moved his hand away and his chest rumbled with a low growl.
A soft huff of amusement fell from Hongjoong's lips, and he settled his hand on Seonghwa's shoulder instead. “No, I wouldn't dare. I don't want to face a dragon's wrath for stealing from their hoard, thank you very much.”
“Hmph.” Seonghwa considered the article in his palm once more. If Hongjoong wasn't pulling his leg, then the logical answer was that you put your anklet in his jewelry chest. But why would you do that, and when did you? He would have smelled your scent lingering in this room if you had, and he couldn't pick up on any of his friends’ scents either.
A flower of hope blossomed in his chest as he thought about the implications of this gesture further. Maybe it didn't matter how it got here, only what you thought about it being here in his possession.
“It's a sign,” Hongjoong giggled, squeezing his shoulder. He trudged away to go find his sweatpants to sleep in. “Your move, Park!”
Seonghwa slowly wrapped his fingers around the chain, a small smile flitting onto his face. In the mirror, his cheekbones burned the color of the rubies in his jewelry case.
His move, indeed.
In the morning, Seonghwa rose before day broke the dawn.
It had come to him like a strike of lightning last night as he laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling, weighing the option of wearing your anklet like a lovesick fool or returning it to you in the morning. What he'd remembered, instead, was something you told him about your clan's traditions.
While his family held a lot more emphasis on adornment for mating traditions, your family clan put more importance on the act of making a meal for a potential partner. Consuming said meal was an acceptance of courtship and love.
As he hunched over the kitchen countertop pouring over a recipe on his phone, he marinated on how to go about this. Presenting you with breakfast—that he only made for you, might he add—was not a subtle move in the slightest. Perhaps slipping your anklet into his things could be interpreted a couple ways, but it wasn't a glaring neon sign like this gesture was going to be.
Nonetheless, Seonghwa got to work. He was counting on his friends to stay the fuck asleep.
About an hour later, he was just finishing up when he picked up on the sound of your bare feet padding across the hallway toward the kitchen. Your perfume followed next, carrying into the room on an invisible breeze. Seonghwa drummed his fingers against the countertop as you strolled into the room, eyes wide and bright when you saw him there with food made.
“Well, something smells yummy,” you said warmly. “Should I go wake the others?”
“No!” He laughed nervously, breaking into a bashful smile. “No need. This—this is just for you. I mean, I made breakfast for you.”
Your eyes seemed to grow even wider. “Break—breakfast for me? Just me?”
He nodded and wrung his hands in front of his body. “Just you… if that's okay.”
“Of course, that's okay. More than okay, really,” you murmured, eyes turning shy. The implications were too blatant not to miss or deny.
Seonghwa gestured for you to take a seat at the breakfast table and presented you with the hot and fresh plate of breakfast he'd just made. He claimed the seat across from you with his own plate, but didn't touch it yet. His nerves made his hands shake beneath the table as he watched you take your utensil and fork a bite into your mouth.
Something warm burst in his chest as you swallowed, then took another bite.
“It's really good,” you said to him between bites. Your mouth was pursed into a wide smile, a tenderness swimming in your gemstone irises. “I think though,” you murmured after swallowing, “that we need to talk.”
Seonghwa's stomach tightened, but he nodded. “Agreed. I, uhm, I found this in my jewelry case last night.” He pulled out the strand of silver and amethyst from his pocket. The metal and jewel glistened in the soft morning sunlight pouring into the open cavern.
“Oh, you didn't wear it?”
He went doe-eyed. “I wanted to—I just wanted to be clear about intentions first, just because if I wore this…” He stammered, “Then you'd be mine and I'd be yours.”
The wording of it made your pulse skip, but it was exactly what you wanted. All of this stumbling around each other, falling over yourselves, was for this purpose.
“Is that right, love?”
You nodded, as the two of you shared a smile in the glow of early morning. “That's right.”
He would be yours, and you would be his.
Breakfast was dined upon in peace with quiet murmurings exchanged between the two of you, accompanied by light laughter and loving gazes. It was a marvel none of it was interrupted by the other occupants of the lakeside getaway.
There was another thing that had to be done in order to seal the deal, however.
When breakfast was finished and cleaned up after, Seonghwa barged back into his and Hongjoong's shared bedroom. His demon best friend was nowhere to be found, but it was no matter. Seonghwa went over to the vanity table and carefully picked up the necklace he had laid out last night. It was white gold studded in fat, glistening rubies—his prized possession, and one of the few pieces he had saved for only his future partner to wear.
That giddy excitement curled in his stomach again as he took the necklace with him up to your bedroom on the second floor. You were there waiting for him, your foot braced on the vanity stool to fix his sapphire chain onto your ankle, as your amethyst one laid around his.
“This,” he murmured as he came up behind you in the mirror, “I've been saving for someone special.” He locked eyes with you in the looking glass, a sweet smile playing on his lips as he draped the heavy gems over your sternum.
Blood rubies were precious and harder to come by these days, which was why Seonghwa coveted them. It only made sense that they should rest now on a person he would also come to value even more. They sat perfectly upon your collarbones, like a tiara upon your head… like it was made for you. You were yourself a treasure.
Seonghwa could hardly contain his contentment at the sight. He wrapped his arms around your middle as he pressed a kiss to your shoulder, smiling against your skin. “Perfect.”

NSFW below cut-
"Wooyoung! Stop it right this minute!" You hear just as the brat you'd summoned was about to unbutton the last button on his shirt.
What in the world, was there another demon? you think, opening your eyes and fingers to look at the new being.
The new ...man/person was glaring at the...demon....(what the actual fuck, maybe you'd fallen asleep and this was some kind of dream.)
Anyhow, the let's just call him a man for sanity's sake. The new MAN had dark hair as well, longer than the first. He looked like a god, you think, eyeing his beautiful features. "HEY! Don't look at him! I'm the sexy one!" The one called Wooyoung yells, stomping his foot. You can't help but almost laugh, catching yourself.
"Yeosang, what the hell man, I was BUSY here...." the brat says, pouting now at the new man, Yeosang. Sighing, Yeosang rolls his eyes (which were gorgeous btws) and turns to you, bowing. "I am so sorry for this major....inconvenience. Allow me to take him from here and -" "EXCUSE ME? MAJOR INCONVENIE---" Wooyoung manages and then his mouth is moving but no sound is coming out.
"Wow. That's impressive. Did you do that?" You ask Yeosang and he just blinks at you. "Aren't you..." he asks, waving his hand, at a loss for words. He wasn't used to people just asking questions.
"Normally humans scream or run away by now. Or you know, pass out." he sighs, shaking his head. You just walk over to Wooyoung, who is appearing to yell and stomp around, waving his hands and pointing at you and Yeosang dramatically.
"This is so cool, is it something I can learn? I have so many people I'd love to do this to." You say and Yeosang just tilts his head at you, staring at you confused with those deep dark eyes.
"I-" he starts, wrinkling his eyebrows. "I'm unsure, I've never attempted to teach anyone else. Though, because you're human-" then Wooyoung is tackling Yeosang and they are wrestling on your floor.
"FINE- FINE" Yeosang is yelling and then with a thud, Wooyoung is laying on his back on the floor. "---cking pay for this when we get...oh. I can talk." he says, then smiles and jumps up, brushing off his clothes, shirt still hanging open. He catches you eyeing his chest then winks at you, bringing a blush to your cheeks.
Biting his lip, he saunters at you and then Yeosang is grabbing his ear, pulling him back. 'No, Hongjoong and Hwa want you back right now. You've caused enough trouble for this poor woman."
"Nooo, seriously, she summoned me, Sang. SHE DID!!!" Wooyoung is pouting again, pointing at you. Yeosang is just shaking his head and sighing. "Actually...I don't know if I summoned...per se...." you mutter.
"SEE!" Wooyoung is yelling before you can finish. "Oh? But...how--?" Yeosang is asking and Wooyoung is covering Yeosang's mouth before he can say more.
"The details don't matter, she said words, I showed up! Poof, summoned!" Wooyoung nods and grins, folding his arms. Yeosang sighs once again and grabs Wooyoung's arm, holding up his finger to you. "Wait! Sangie no I--" then Wooyoung is gone and it's just you and the statuesque man.
"I am sorry about that. Sometimes he just hears people talk out loud, fricken demon hearing. Then he just does as he pleases. I truly am sorry about this."
"Umm, yah no problem?" you say, unsure what else you can say with everything going on. "What is your name?" He suddenly asks. "Oh...I'm Y/n. Nice to meet you." You hold out your hand and he stares at your hand for a moment, then your face.
"Don't worry, you won't remember any of this tomorrow, Y/n. And strangely, it was a pleasure meeting you." He pulls you to him, touches your head and then everything goes black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"-----was just about to ..." Wooyoung trails off. Instead of your pretty form in front of him, he's greeted by Hongjoong's snarl and Seonghwa's annoyed but placid face.
"Tell me, Woo. What was it you were about to do? HMMM?" Hongjoong asks, pacing back and forth, clucking his tongue. "Well, you see, so this girl summoned me-" he starts and Hongjoong snarls, his eyes turning red and his fangs flashing as he is suddenly right in front of Wooyoung.
"Truth, demon. None of your stories. Or we can go to my room and talk." Hongjoong says and Wooyoung shakes his head furiously.
"Fiiiine! So I was out getting some snacks and I heard this female voice asking for a demon and she mentioned sex and stuff..."
Huffing, Seonghwa stands up running his fingers through his hair. "Woo, what did we tell you about eavesdropping?" he asks, shaking his head.
"LOOK. I can't help that I have superior hearing." He says, pouting and crossing his arms, looking away. Then Yeosang pops into the room, walking over to Wooyoung. Patting him on the head, he looks over at Hongjoong and Seonghwa.
"It's fine, I spoke with the human, who was oddly unphased by the majority of everything. I think she was more afraid of Wooyoung trying to take off his shirt than anything else."
"I'll have you know, she was just impressed with how sexy I am." Wooyoung says back, smirking at Yeosang. Rolling his eyes, Yeosang continues, ignoring the demon. "I took care of it, she's currently sleeping and she won't remember anything. Nothing to worry about."
Hongjoong takes it all in, letting his eyes fade back to normal brown and nods. "Thank you, Yeosang. Sorry you had to use your powers for this type of thing." he says, glancing pointedly at Wooyoung, who sticks his tongue out at him.
"I'm used to it, no problem. She was a strange one, that human." Yeosang comments, pulling the attention of the other two.
"How so?" Seonghwa asks, curious. "I can't put my finger on it, but she just seemed...different. Oh well. Why are you upset now?" Yeosang asks, turning to Wooyoung who was still pouting and making sad noises.
"I could have done so many things to her-" he says, sighing.
"No! What did we say about using your powers? Especially with humans??" Seonghwa is saying and Wooyoung sighs. "She wanted to though, it's not like I was gonna do anything bad."
"I'm fairly certain that she had no idea what sleeping with a incubus really meant. And though I know you don't want to drain her, Woo, you do tend to forget when you get carried away." Seonghwa was saying, comforting the poor demon. "I could explain it thou--!" he starts and Hongjoong turns and flashes his eyes again, shutting Wooyoung's tirade down before it starts.
"No, you've been good for ages now, I'm not going to let you get in trouble and be found out after having sheltered you here for so long. If the others were to hunt you down again, we'd have so many issues. It's been so peaceful for so long." Seonghwa was saying, drawing nods from both Hongjoong and Yeosang. "Besides, I'm certain you wouldn't want to draw that kind of attention to San or the others either, right?"
Wooyoung sighs and nods, sadly. "I know....I just...she was so interesting though." Yeosang looks at the other two and nods. "I will give him that. Something definitely was drawing me to her."
"Well, put it out of your mind. You love to cause trouble and that's the last thing any of us need right now. Do you not remember how terrified Mingi was last time when just that one demon found us?" Hongjoong says.
"Oh no, don't remind me, I had to cast so many stupid spells to calm him down." Yunho comes in, plopping down. "It was tiring. And poor Jongho had to stay in bear form for hours just to let him cry it out and cuddle him." Yeosang just shakes his head and sighs.
"Speaking of, where are the others?" Seonghwa asks the new man.
"Mingi is off watching some new anime in his room, not sure about the other two." Yunho answers, then looks at Wooyoung. "Ok demon, tell me all about this new human you found." And Woo perks up, eager to chat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stretching and yawning, you open your eyes to the dusky light of early dawn. What the heck happened? Your face was currently half covered by your cat sleeping on you and you gently wake her and push her off.
"Let's get you some food, baby girl." you say, standing up and stretching again before padding over to feed the poor cat. "How in the world did I sleep all night? That's so rare, huh girl?" You say to the purring creature.
After feeding her, you boot up your pc and then settle down with a cup of coffee. Staring at the screen, you tilt your head. You remember trying to write earlier then....
You get a mild headache then your cat is looking at you, coming to sit at your feet. As she rubs against your legs, the headache fades and you almost spill your coffee.
"What the heck? I wonder where those demons went?" You say to the empty room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The memory was vague but slowly it came back over the next day. Yeosang, you think, remembering the beautiful man with the long dark hair, the deep eyes and the pretty birthmark.
Wooyoung, you recall later, thinking about the dimples and sexy pout, his bare chest...You gulp and shake your head. What the hell...you think, wondering what might have happened if Yeosang hadn't shown up.
Clearing your throat, you fan yourself and start typing away, finally having found some definite inspiration.
Tumblr media
The room was filled with a suffocating silence, as the members of Blood Moon clan - Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Wooyoung, Mingi and San watched your nearly lifeless blood covered body, laying on the floor, chest barely rising and eyes almost on the brink of closing. Your soulmate, Yeosang knelt beside you, hands trembling as he carasses your cheeks, tears running down his own.
After a fatal attack on the Moon residency , the clan was in shambles, though Hongjoong being the leader did most of the damage control, the enemies target was successfully torn into pieces. You, their target, a human mate to the Blood Prince, Yeosang, is almost dead.
“No, please…don’t make me do this” he whispered, voice craking as he looked at his clan members. “She wasn’t ready. She never said she wanted to be one of us” He pleaded, tears streaming down his face as put his head on your almost lifeless body.
His members eyes held sympathy for him, but transforming you was the ONLY option to snatch you from the fangs of death.
San stood closer to Yeosang, his hand gently rubbing down his back, a soft gaze in his eyes for both Yeosang and you. He felt equally sorry and angry at himself for not being able to protect you, his dear bestfriend. Hongjoong paced restlessly, his usual calm shattered at the situation unfolding. Seonghwa leaned against the wall, eyes closed, jaw clenched in silence.
They were not ready to loose you, a dear member of the clan who despite being a human was accepted in with open arms. You shared an extremely deep bond with each one of them and had become a part of the family.
“We don’t have time for this,” Mingi snapped as he stepped forward, his eyes held rebellious fire.
“If you won’t save her, then I will” His fangs glinted under the dim light as he knelt down next to you, ready to bite. Mingi and San were one of the first members of the clan you became friends with. For them, seeing you like this was taking a thousands punches to the gut but not being able to throw even one back.
“No!” Yeosang shouted, his voice trembling and angry as he sheilded your body with his own. “This isn’t your decision! She’s not… I can’t… I can’t take away her choice.” he stummbled, words falling out with raw emotion.
“Yeosang, she’s going to die! What choice do you have?” Mingi growled in frustration as he was not ready to loose you at any cost.
“Yeosang, I get it. We all do. But you’re the only one she’d want this from. She loves you. You know that.” His best friendd Wooyoung who had been standing silent for a while finally spoke.
Yeosang grip tightened around you as he battled his inner demons trying to make a decision.
“We don’t have a lot of time, if you don’t do this, she won’t survive the night.” San whispered softly with a hint of urgency, as his eyes ligered on your lifeless body.
Seonghwa finally opened his eyes, his voice calm but filled with urgency. “We’ll protect her. We’ll help her adjust. But right now, she needs you.”
Yeosang let out a shaky breath, staring down at your fragile form. “I’m sorry,y/n,” he whispered as a tear fell down his cheek. “I can’t lose you. Hope you’ll forgive me”
His hands trembled as Yeosang tilted your head, exposing your neck. The room fell silent as he lowered his lips, his fangs extending.With a soft breath, he bit down, injecting his vampire blood into you , sealing your fate and finally turning into one of them.
As Yeosang pulled away, your heartbeat came to an abrupt stop, signaling the beginning of the transformation. The room fell into dead silence as everyone held their breath, knowing that this moment will change everything. Almost as heaven blessed you, a soft pulse of energy coursed through you, a sign that the transformation was occuring.
The members of the Blood Moon clan exchange glances as relief washed over their faces.You were still alive. Mingi and San almost cried and a relieving smile adorned Hongjoong and Seonghwa’s face.
Yeosang slowly retrieved himself into his study, happy but still, regret pulled himself away from you.
Over the week, with the clan doctor Yunho at your side, your wounds healed, stitching themselves together with a supernatural speed. Bruises faded, cuts closed, skin became flawless and tight, and your breathing, once shallow became steadier.
As the vampire blood spread into every corner of your body, your heart gave a final, powerful beat before it stopped altogether, confirming a successful completion of the transformation. Your fingers twitched slightly, eyelids fluttered open as you came back to life, stronger, and something more than human.
Everything felt sharper with your senses heightened. Sounds were loud, even a quiet breath. Colors looked brighter, and every detail was clear. Smells were stronger, as though you could pick out every scent in the air. Your vision reached farther, seeing things you had never noticed before, as if the whole world was suddenly more alive than it had been.
Yunho had called everyone once he saw the signs of your awakening, so the whole room rejoiced at your new birth. Your eyes wandered around the room as you saw San and Mingi almost tearing up, Seonghwa and Wooyoung had huge, toothy smiles on their faces, and Yunho stood by your side, smiling. Hongjoong smiled proudly at you. “Welcome back, y/n!” he said, and you smiled back.
But your eyes searched for him.Yeosang.
Where is he? Why isn't he here? Is he not happy or regretting the transformation?
Seonghwa pulled you from your thoughts. “Yeosang hasn’t left his study the whole week” he said as a saddened look crossed his face.
Getting off the bed, you made your way to Yeosang’s study, and everyone's gaze followed, seeing how you were holding up. You knocked softly, but there was no response from the other side. You tried twisting the knob, which, under your sheer superhuman strength, broke, causing the whole door to slide open.
“Oh, she’s so back,” Mingi commented, amusement in his voice as everyone chuckled.
“Guys, let’s give them their privacy.” Hongjoong said, gathering everyone as they left the room.
Yeosang’s figure came into sight, shoulders slumped as his fingers gently traced the painting. A panting of you that he had painted himself. The study room was filled with hundreds of your paintings, small and big, each one holding that human emotion in your eyes, which was now no longer part of your identity.
“Yeosang…” you called, and his fingers halted as he exhaled deeply, not turning toward you.
Regret still had a chokehold on him as he turned towards you slowly his head bowed down.
“I’m so sorry,y/n. I didn’t mean to go against your wishes. I truly am.” Yeosang sniffed as tears rolled down his cheeks, his head still bowed as you walked towards him.
You held his chin, slowly lifting it to meet his eyes as your lips left a quick peck on his. “I’m not sad, Yeosang. Not at all. In fact, thank you for saving me. Thank you for giving me this new life,” you spoke, cupping his cheeks and gently wiping away his tears. “I’ve loved you since the first day we met, so you don’t really need my permission to save me. Even if it means saying goodbye to my human self, I’m elated to have a part of you running through my veins. So, I’m not sad at all.”
Your words stirred all the emotions he had been suppressing inside him the whole week. In a swift motion, he pulled you toward him, and you landed firmly on his lap, your legs straddling him.
A huge mirror stood opposite Yeosang held you close, his nose buried in the crook of your neck, re-familiarizing himself with you and your scent. “I missed you.” he whispered, his voice barely audible, as he began littering your neck with soft butterfly kisses. Your grip around his shoulders tightened as his mouth now decorated your neck with hickeys, as you gasped.
“I missed you too. So much.” you replied breathlessly, pulling his face up and crashing your lips onto his. His grip around you tightened, deepening the steamy kiss, fireworks erupting inside you.
Yeosang’s hunger for you kept growing as his hands explored your bare skin under your mid-thigh-length dress. His touch left goosebumps wherever he caressed you as you grind your wet cunt against him. His hard cock, confirming he needed you with equal hunger.
His hands tore your dress,throwing it away as the mirror in front of him gave him a beautiful reflection of you. Finally breaking the steamy kiss, he admired your naked form, “You look beautiful, baby” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss on your shoulder.
Your arousal pooled, your breaths ragged as you whimpered, “I need you, Yeo.”
At vampire-ish speed his clothes were off, as he settled on the chair with you on top, the mirror infornt reflecting your intimate actions. You rubbed your dripping cunt against his hard legth, soothing the ache as he groaned beneath you.
Lining himself against your dripping entrance, he entered you slowly, you sucked in your breath, as his girthy cock teared you as delicious blend of pleasure and pain coursed through you. Yeosang's hands gripped your waist, guiding you as you took him deeper.
His intensity increased as he pounded into you with a new found passion, each one sending waves of pleasure coursing through you. Your pretty moans spread across room as you bounced on top of him.You felt alive, every sensation heightened, every heartbeat resonating with the rhythm of your bodies, a his hands explored your beautiful curves.
“Look at us,” he murmured, voice husky with lust. “You’re beautiful like this.”
The reflection in the mirror showcased the raw intimacy of the moment, and you felt a rush of pleasure seeing yourselves together like this. Your heart swelled with happiness as he was taking you in completely.
His pace quickened, as you felt the urgency in his movements, a desperation that mirrored your own as he claimed you, body and soul.
As his thrusts grew deeper, Yeosang’s eyes flicked to the mirror in front of you. The sight of your bodies intertwined, your faces flushed with pleasure, made his heart race. He admired the way you looked, eyes glazed with desire, lips swollen from his kisses, every moan a testament to the connection between you.
“Don’t ever think I’ll let you go,” he whispered, his thrusts driving deeper. “You’re mine now, forever.”
You felt the boundaries between you blur, your bodies becoming one as an intoxicating rhythm of skin slapping against skin took over. You focused solely on him, the way he filled you, the way he made you feel, every heartbeat syncing with his.
“I’m so close,” you gasped, clenching around him.
“Cum with me baby. Lets come together.” his voice thick with desire as he groaned as his eyes flicker to your reflection in the mirror
“We were born to be together” he whispered finally casuing the knot to snap.
The combination of his words, his touch, and the relentless thrust of his hips sent you crashing into a wave of ecstasy. Your body trembled as you came undone around him, screaming his name as the pleasure overwhelmed you.
Yeosang followed right after, his body tensing as he released deep inside you, filling you up to the brim. This was everything he has been saving up for the whole week. He held you tightly as you collapsed on top of him, whispering that its all going to be okay.
For a moment, you both basked in each others silence, relishing the beaitiful movemnt you both just shared.
“I never want to lose you again.” he whispered, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear.
“You won’t. We’re in this together.” you promised, feeling complete.
His smile softened, and you knew this was just the beginning of your unbreakable bond.
But there was one thing you needed to address.
“Yeo, I’m hungry.” you whispered, still lying on his chest. Your request pulled him out of the intimate moment, and he laughed loudly.
“Of course, baby. Let’s get you something to eat.” he said, excitement in his voice as he prepared to teach you the ways of a vampire hunt.
Looking around, I noticed that I was no longer in the comfort of my own home but instead, standing in the middle of a dark forest.
“What. The. Hell.”
Making my way through the thick growth of trees, I halted to a stop at the sound of howling.
‘Crunch’
Snapping my head to the left, my eyes widened at the sight before me. Three large creatures stood tall. Their eyes were crimson, fangs barred as saliva dripped down their chins.
Looking down, a grimace made its way across my face as my eyes zoned in on the decapitated head in the hands of one of them. It was Hongjoong’s.
Cautiously, I took a couple of steps towards them, stopping when I could hear what they were saying.
“We can’t let them get the head.”
I watched, slightly mortified, as Hongjoong’s head was tossed into the air like a ball.
“No, we can’t.” The one holding the head grinned manically. “Not when they have killed our brothers.”
Hongjoong's head was tossed between their hands.
“We must find shelter. Before they track us down.”
Trailing behind them, I followed until they stopped at a small clearing, watching as they huddled together, probably deciding to stay there.
I glanced around my surroundings, taking note of the beds of small, bell-shaped flowers and red berries. I took a step forward to get a closer look before I felt something pull me away.
Snapping my eyes open, I let out a groan at the sudden brightness, my arm immediately covering my eyes as I got used to the light.
Several pairs of rushed footsteps made their way towards me as I felt a hand on the top of my head.
“Oh, thank gods.” I heard Wooyoung let out a sigh of relief. “Are you okay? How are you feeling? Wait. Don’t answer that. You almost gave me a heart attack when you fainted. I thought that -”
Removing my arm, I glanced at Wooyoung, who knelt beside me, “Woo, please stop talking. Your rambling is giving me a headache.”
Wooyoung gave me a sheepish smile as he helped me sit up on the couch.
Glancing around me, I noticed all of them staring at me, worry evident in their eyes.
Clearing my throat, I noticed the absence of San, Yunho and a certain ‘ghost’.
“Where are San, Yunho and Hongjoong?”
“They’re in the office upstairs. Talking.” Seonghwa placed a mug of camomile tea in my hands. “Drink this. It’ll make you feel better.”
Sipping on the tea, I gradually felt the tension leave my shoulders.
“Thanks, Seonghwa. I think I’m going to head upstairs. I want to talk to Hongjoong about something.”
“What is it?”
Slightly startled, I glared up at the blond man who appeared before me.
“Can you not! I’m still wrapping my head around this whole supernatural thing. You appearing out of thin air is not helping!”
Hongjoong chuckled softly as I felt hands on my shoulders, slightly massaging them.
“Sorry, I just heard you say my name. What’s up?”
Looking back, I noticed San and Yunho had joined us. Giving them a small smile, I turned back to look at Hongjoong.
“I think I found your head.”
He blinked owlishly at me, quirking an eyebrow, “You what?”
“Wait a second.” I looked up to Yunho. “We know where the head is, well, who it’s with anyway. San and I went for it earlier but -”
Cutting him off, I shook my head, “Yeah, I got that, but I know where the head is now. Where they brought it after your attack.”
Looking at their faces, I could see the apprehension in their eyes and sighed, “When I walked up the stairs, my eyes landed on the picture of a forest and then I fainted, yes?” Seeing them nod, I carried on. “When I fainted, I had a, um, a vision? Of some sort. I saw where the three werewolves went after Yunho and San tried to, uh, to get the head back.”
Setting down the mug on the coffee table, I stood up and made my way up into the attic, ignoring them telling me to slow down.
“They decided to camp at a small clearing in the forest, not sure where exactly but -”
“How useful.”
Hearing Jongho’s small mutter, I sent him a glare before looking through the bookshelves for a specific journal.
“Anyways, there were a lot of Lily of the Valley around. I remember one of the journals mentioning that there was an abundance of them somewhere in the forest. If I could just find that journal, then we’d know the exact location of the clearing.”
Spotting the black journal, I plucked it out and quickly flipped through the pages, stopping when I saw a drawing of the flower and berries.
Eyes scanning the page, I pointed to the exact coordinates of the clearing, “Here.”
Flipping the journal around, I showed the coordinates to the others.
“Okay,” Yunho looked up, nodding to Yeosang. “Yeo and I will head over there now.”
“Don’t.” Quickly putting a hand on Yunho’s shoulder, I shook my head. “Go tomorrow evening. The remaining three of the pack are tense. They’re on high alert right now. You need to wait.”
Yeosang opened his mouth to protest, but I held a hand up, “Tomorrow. It’s too dangerous right now.”
Ignoring everyone else, I held onto Seonghwa and Wooyoung’s arms, pulling them down the stairs.
“You guys rest or whatever it is you do at this time of night. I have something I want to go over with these two in the basement.”
Once we reached the round table, I let go of their arms and just stared at the table.
“Ahem,” Hearing Seonghwa clear his throat, I turned my head towards him. “Why are Woo and I here?”
I shook my head, before looking at the shelf filled with jars.
“I want to do something. This is giving me a sense of déjà vu right now. And it’s not the good type.”
Browsing the shelf, I plucked out a jar of black talc, dragon’s blood, frankincense, myrrh and salt.
Placing them on the table, I grabbed a couple of empty sachets from the side of the table as Wooyoung and Seonghwa looked at the jars.
Wooyoung picked up the jar of dragon’s blood and turned to me, “What are you going to do?”
Shrugging, I started to mix the ingredients in a ceramic bowl, “I don’t know. Working on a feeling right now.”
Recognition flashed through Seonghwa’s eyes as he watched me carefully add a few drops of dragon’s blood to the powder.
“You’re making a protection ward, you used t-” Cutting himself off, Seonghwa shook his head. “It’s a protection ward. It creates a barrier between the person using it and the person with bad intentions. As long as there is no gap in the powder scattered around, the barrier will stay intact.”
Putting the powder into the separate sachets, I nodded, “Hmm, but why do I know this? It’s not like I’ve had a crash course for witchcraft.”
Letting out a yawn, I put the filled sachets on the table.
“Let's head to bed, we have a busy day tomorrow.”
Moving back, I looked between the two, “Are you two staying down here or?”
“We’ll stay. Wooyoung and I want to make a couple things for them tomorrow.”
Nodding tiredly, I pressed a kiss on both Seonghwa and Wooyoung’s cheeks before my brain could even register what I was doing.
Blinking, I could feel heat rush to my face, “So, um – I don’t - I’m just gonna –Goodnight!”
Rushing up the stairs, I missed the way their eyes trailed my figure. Emotions that they had to push down for so long, forcing their way back to the surface.
Lying on the bed, my mind kept replaying my actions in the basement. The kiss I pressed on their cheeks. The action felt so familiar, it felt like a habit, something that I had done millions of times in the past. But that wasn’t possible, was it?
Groaning, I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes, willing myself to fall asleep and forget how out of character I was.
Tumblr media
Running a hand through my hair, I watched as Yunho and Yeosang made their way down the stairs.
“You two ready?”
Seeing them nod, I pulled out the sachets from my pocket and handed them one each.
Yeosang peered into the contents of it, “What’s this?”
“Protection ward. Scatter it around you when you need it, prevents people with bad intentions from harming you.” Pacing around, I started rambling a bit. “Also, I know you guys are very skilled, but please be careful. Those werewolves are very angry, they’re still shifted. Make sure you’re aware of your surroundings and have each oth -”
Feeling someone hold onto my shoulders, I halted to a stop. Looking up, I was met with Yeosang smiling down at me.
“Relax. This isn’t the first time we’ve gone hunting. We know what we’re doing.”
Nodding, I let out a small breath, “I gathered, but this is the first time I am seeing you off or whatever. I don’t know why but I, once again, am feeling a great sense of déjà vu, which makes absolutely no sense.”
Waving at the two, I ushered them out the door, “Go and get Hongjoong’s head, yeah? And please come back unscathed.”
I watched as the two retreated into the woods surrounding the manor, closing the door once they were nowhere in sight.
Tumblr media
Yeosang and Yunho carefully trudged through the forest, eyes ahead as they concentrated on the sounds surrounding them.
Slowing, Yeosang lifted a finger up to his ear, indicating Yunho to listen. The faint sound of twigs snapping drifted through the air. The two vampires immediately reached to their backs, holding onto the handles of their swords as they stood back-to-back.
“Well look what we have here.” A voice broke through from their left.
“They think they can just take the head, after what they did to our brothers.” Another from their right.
Yeosang sank his left hand into his back pocket, quickly grasping some of the protection powder from the sachet. He and Yunho slowly moved in a circle, scattering the powder around them.
‘Bang’
The last werewolf launched at them, only for the ward to throw him back. The other two let out growls at the sight of one of their own being thrown back.
“Look,” Yunho started, “Just give us the head, and we’ll be on our way.”
The one thrown back stalked his way over to the barrier, growling.
“Now, why would we do that? After what you did yesterday?”
Magenta flickered through Yunho’s eyes as he stared at the werewolf, a scowl etched on his face.
“After what WE did? You were the one who started this Garett. YOU were the one that broke the pact when you allied with the Faeries.”
A chuckle erupted from Garett as he started to circle Yunho and Yeosang.
“You guys think you’re so powerful, huh? So strong? Having a Circe descendant on your side. Being her bitches. Too bad she doesn’t remember who you are. Maybe I could get her to -”
With a blink of an eye, Yeosang had Garett pinned to a tree by his throat as Yunho held back the other two. Their eyes shining magenta.
“Don’t you EVER talk about her like that.”
Garett simply smirked up at Yeosang, “You really are her bitches. All of you.”
Yeosang hissed at him as he pulled out a blade, “You’re gonna wish you stopped talking real soon, bud.”
Tumblr media
Pacing around in the living room, I chewed at my lips as the rest of the boys were scattered through the house.
“Will you stop pacing? You’re giving me a headache here.” Jongho groaned as he stood up from the couch, reaching for my shoulders and pulling me into him. “Relax, they’re more than capable to deal with a few werewolves. Also, they can’t die, remember. So, calm down, αγάπη μου.”
Melting into his embrace, I let out a deep breath before stepping away from him.
“Okay, how long does it normally take for -”
“We’ve got the head!”
Hearing the door shut and footsteps coming our way, I turned my head to the archway, face contorting in disgust when I caught sight of Yunho and Yeosang.
“Please tell me none of that’s your blood.”
The two were truly a sight. They were covered in blood, not a single patch of skin was clean.
“Don’t worry, it was theirs.” Yunho shook his free hand around before handing Hongjoong’s head to Seonghwa. “You might wanna clean that before you put it on the table downstairs. It's got a bit of blood, saliva and mud on it.”
Seonghwa grimaces as he took out a pair of gloves from his pocket.
“You two look like you took a bath in their blood.”
Watching Seonghwa leave, my attention went back to the two dripping blood everywhere.
“Why don’t you two take a shower first, you’re getting blood all over the new carpet I bought.”
Yeosang and Yunho made their way upstairs, as Hongjoong appeared beside me.
“So,” I raised a hand to put on Hongjoong’s shoulder, even though I knew it would probably go through him. “What’s the next step?”
Pausing, my gaze met Hongjoong’s before they landed on the hand that was resting on his shoulder, “And why hasn’t my hand gone through you?”
It's a little cracky so that's entirely intended. I decided on the title because I love the song and the lyrics are kinda perfect. As always, comments and reblogs and feedback appreciated!!!! Thanks also to @babesindestroyland @mint-yooxgi for listening to my ramblings about this and helping me brainstorm things! I appreciate you both sooo much! 🤍💜🤍
“No.” you slam the door in the pleading man’s face.  You’d seen and done a lot in your many, many years upon this earth, but not once has someone been this persistent to have you use them more.  “Please!  Please…just…listen…” You just groan, having heard it all in the last 48 hours.  Never once have you regretted biting someone so much.
“Really, I have so much more to offer you, my whole body! I…I have friends too! Think of all the delicious blood!” He’d been ambiguous before but this was too much.  You could handle him screaming outside of your apartment about sex, orgies, bdsm, but mentioning blood takes the cake.
“Are you out of your fucking mind?” you ask as you whip open the door, grabbing the man by the throat and yanking him inside.  The delighted squeal he lets out just has you rolling your eyes as you toss him onto the couch.  “Oh god, that was so hot-” “STOP.” you demand and then he’s on his knees in front of you, his dark brown eyes looking up and blinking at you.
“Yes, mommy.” he purrs out and you heave out an exasperated breath.  “I’m not your mommy, kid.” you tell him, poking him in the forehead and pushing, the force barreling him over.  But instead of deterring him, he’s crawling eagerly back over to you, his eyes glinting even more from fascination and excitement.  “But…I want you to be my mommy…” he pouts up at you and you can’t help but let your eyes bleed red, your fangs filling your mouth as you kneel down to grasp his hair and yank his head back.
At the club, you’d been sweet and kind to him, so maybe showing him your true nature will work.  “I could drain you dry faster than your heart could register your veins being empty.  Don’t test my patience.” you hiss into his face.  Instead of fear, you frown in dismay as he whimpers and slides closer to you, pressing his now hard bulge into your thigh. Dear lord, was he…was this boy…..??
 “Are you…humping my leg?”
“Listen…will you stop that!” you yell as his hand creeps up your leg.  “I don’t even know your name-” “Wooyoung, it’s Wooyoung….” he pants out and you roll your eyes at his desperation.  “How did you even find me?” you ask him, standing up and shaking him off of your leg.  “If you keep sticking that lip out, I’ll tear it off and eat it.” you tell him and just like before, instead of backing off, it seems to encourage him even more.
“I’ll let you do whatever you’d like.” he says, reaching for you.  “SIT DOWN.” you tell him and he scrambles to take a seat on your couch.  You rub a hand over your face, frustrated.  Stupid, stupid, you think to yourself.   You’d let yourself get careless.  “Wooyoung.” you say, glaring at him to keep him seated.  “Answer my question.” He looks confused for a moment but then his eyes tell you that he’s remembered.  “Oh!  I…it sounds really strange…but…” he glances at you for a moment, watching you cross your arms.  “I can smell you.  Well…it’s not like a smell really, but …. I can sense you, like a smell but it’s different…” he explains and you sigh, sitting down next to him. That was new…was your blood affecting him differently?
 Patting him on the leg, you just turn to him, frowning.  “Wooyoung? You..what you’re experiencing is probably just a side effect from the bite.” you tell him, and his eyes fill with lust the moment you mention it.  “No-” you have to push him back, holding him in place as you talk to him like a child.  “It’s not real, ok? I didn’t intend for it to happen, but I must have not been thinking the other night. Sometimes if I bite someone, they feel a bit funny afterwards.  It’s probably just blood loss, it just might have done something strange to you.” His pout has you feeling guilty for doing this to him.
“If you go home and give it a little time, it’ll wear off, alright?” you tell him, trying to get through but he’s shaking his head.  “I don’t want it to go away though!” he tells you, grabbing your hands and placing them on his face.  “I like this, it feels nice.  YOU feel nice…” he sighs out, licking his lips, placing a kiss on your palm.  “Are you listening to me?” you say to him softly, feeling a bit sad because he truly was a beautiful man.
You could-… NO! What were you thinking?
“I want to always listen to you.” he breathes out, his mouth meeting yours before you can stop him again.  His lewd groan as he climbs on you, pressing himself against you has you almost giving in to him.  It has been ages since you’ve had more…intimate affairs with a human.  Hell, with anyone at all.  His tongue brushes against your elongated fangs and his hiss as he nicks it has him grinding against you.  The taste of blood mixed with his kiss has your head swimming and without thinking, you throw your hands out to get him off of you.
Unfortunately, your strength being what it is has him launching across the room and slamming into the wall before you can think.  Jumping up with a yelp, you run to him and panic.  “No no no…oh shit…” you cry, grabbing him in your arms and taking off.  This was going to be a long long night.
This is how you find yourself in the hospital instead of out feeding, and you pace as you wait for the doctor to come back.  Looking down at the slumbering man, you frown with guilt.  You can’t help but wonder what kind of human he is without the craziness of your effect on him.  Was he really some weird stalker? Or was he some nice guy who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?  He was a pretty human but looks were very deceiving, you’d found through experience.
Hearing a commotion in the silence of the hospital, you glance over as the curtain is drawn back to reveal two men.  The shorter one clucks his tongue and shakes his head, taking in the slumbering man.  “Woo…what did you do this time?” he says, but then a third man is pushing into the room, launching himself onto the bed with the unconscious man.
“Oh my god-” you start, drawing the eyes of the two men still standing.  “Who are-” “Wooo!! WHAT HAPPENED?” the man on the bed is saying dramatically and all three of you sigh simultaneously.  “Um…I-” “Sannie?” you hear, turning to see Wooyoung’s eyes are open, but sleepy.  “Sannie?” Then he’s sitting up, looking around as the dark haired crying man is clinging to him.  “Where is she?” he is asking and you sidle behind the two men, sneaking out of the little curtained area.
Should have left when I had a chance…shit…you think.  You are confronted with a fourth man now and you stop, looking around.  “Holy crap, how many of you are there?” you ask and the beautiful man in front of you just tilts his head at you as he takes you in.  “Four.” he responds and you can only nod.  “Uh huh.” “Eight all together.” he adds and you just nod along.  “Ah.”
“Can you tell us what happened?” you hear from behind you, and you turn to see the taller of the first two that came in, his big dark eyes full of concern.  “I swear, I didn’t mean-” you start but he sighs, pinching his nose.  “I’m sorry for whatever it is he did, he’s just reckless sometimes, but he means well.” The man glances back towards the curtains, where you can hear voices arguing and you turn to the fourth man, who is just nodding.
“What did he get you wrapped up in?  I apologize on his behalf.” the beautiful man is saying, and then the taller man…who is also gorgeous…what the fuck?...is taking your hand.  “If you’ll give us your name and a contact, we can-” “NO -SHE IS!” you hear yelling and you tense up, knowing that shrill voice at this point.  You’d been hearing it for days.
“Woo-you can’t just disappear and then end up in the hospital and expect me to believe-” “SHE IS, I’M SERIOUS.” You attempt to pull your hand from the tall man’s grip but you’re too nervous to use much power.  Then the curtain is shoved aside before you can get away, Wooyoung standing there in a hospital gown as his wild eyes land on you.
“HWA! Don’t touch her, she’s mine!” he screams, coming over to pull you into his arms.  “Wooyoung!” The man is yelling, pulling together the back of the open gown where his bare ass is hanging out.  You just stare at him in shock, gritting your teeth as he holds onto you.  “Hongjoong, she’s mine! I won’t let go!” he is crying, whimpering as the man you assume is Hongjoong is trying to pull him off.
The man holding your hand, the one Wooyoung called Hwa, is frowning at Wooyoung as he clings to you, shaking his head.  “What the hell did you take? Have you been drinking? I’m so sorry,” he starts saying to you, then the fourth man is next to you, whispering his apologies as he tries to pry Wooyoung off you as well.
You just stand there in defeat as you try your best not to toss the man again, looking over at the final man sitting on the hospital bed, seeming to have found some crackers they’d left for Wooyoung and was happily munching on them as he watched the chaos before him.  Sannie? You recall Wooyoung saying, he just smiles at you and shrugs as if this is all normal.
“Wooyoung…” you murmur and his head snaps up, his smile cheerful.  “I love when you say my name.” he sighs out, then he’s pressing his lips to yours before you hear all of the men cry out, and finally he’s yanked off of you.  “What in the hell has gotten into you? Are you insane?” Hwa was asking him, the unnamed man gently pulling you behind him.  “I’m so sorry, are you alright?” he is asking, his eyes darting between you and Wooyoung.  It’s your turn to pinch the bridge of your nose as you sigh.
“Yeah…I’m fine.  He’s not though.” you mutter and the man’s eyes study you closer now.  “You’ve got something to tell us.” he states and you feel your heart stutter as he seems to read your mind.  “Uh-”
“She’s a vampire! She drank my blood and now she’s MINE, she’s MY VAMPIRE and I want to KEEP HER!” Wooyoung is yelling and the man staring at you raises his eyebrows in shock as he watches his friend.  “Well…that’s new.” he says, shaking his head.  “Stop it this instant!” Hongjoong is saying, then a doctor is pushing them out of the way as they get him back into bed, Sannie moving to the side to keep watching.
“Was he drinking?” the man named Hwa asks you and you can only nod as you bite your lip.  “Umm…you could say he was drinking…” you respond evasively, looking away.  “Well..I apologize profusely for his horrible behavior.  Can we go somewhere to talk if you have the time?”  You check the clock and notice that it’s 435am and you wince.  Noticing, the unnamed man places a hand on Hwa’s shoulder.
“It’s extremely late…or early…” he turns to you and holds out his cellphone.  “Could we exchange numbers and talk when it’s not…like this…” you all look over where Wooyoung is pointing at you, crying and arguing with the doctor and his friends.  “Yeah…I guess that’s fine.  I can…explain later.” you murmur and they both nod as you put your number into his phone.  He immediately calls it as you pull out your phone and you reject the call to plug his contact info in.
“Yeosang.  My name is Yeosang, and this is Seonghwa.” he gestures to the taller man.  “Ah, Hwa…Seonghwa.” you nod, noting Yeosang’s name in your phone.   “San is the one to the side, and Hongjoong is the one yelling.”  You nod as you bite your lip, really wanting to make sure Wooyoung is fine before you just leave.  “It’s my fault.” you tell them, feeling horrible.
“Sorry? Your fault?” Seonghwa asks and you nod.  “I … he was…being kind of clingy like you saw and well ... .I may have shoved him.  I think he hit his head.”  The two men just stand there, staring at you for a moment, incredulous, then look at one another before they burst out laughing.  Your frown deepens as you realize they aren’t taking you seriously.
“I’m sure he’s fine, he’s likely just doing this for attention.  He will be fine, I’m sorry he’s been harassing you.” Seonghwa is saying, and you look back at the now sleepy man.  They must have given him something to make him calm down.  As you watch, his eyes meet yours and the pain and need in them has you feeling awful and guilty.
“I…just let me know if he is alright?” you ask Yeosang and he nods, both of them thanking you as you wave goodbye.  You stop by the desk on the way out to make sure his bill is covered, alleviating some of the guilt.  “Going to have to be more careful…” you tell yourself, rubbing your forehead.  You hadn’t been able to feed given the circumstances and now you were going to have to wait until tomorrow night before you could go hunt.
As you make your way out of the emergency room doors, you feel your head swim a bit and you have to stop to fight a wave of dizziness.  You’d gone without feeding before but this reaction to it was unnatural.  The weariness you feel as you make your way to the parking lot suddenly becomes too much and you’re suddenly aware that down is up, and up is down.  You wonder why the night sky is in front of you as everything goes black.
“Somethings wrong! I HAVE TO FIND HER!” Wooyoung sits up, screaming.  Seonghwa’s eyes are huge as he watches the heavily sedated man start to fight to get out of the bed.  “Wooyoung, what the hell! STOP!” Hongjoong is yelling, holding him down with San.  Casting a worried look to Yeosang, Seonghwa goes over to talk to him briefly.
“I’ve never seen him like this…maybe…” Yeosang watches Wooyoung thoughtfully, then sighs, nodding to Seonghwa.  “I’ll go make sure she’s fine, just to alleviate his worries.” Seonghwa nods, chewing his lip as he turns back to go help the others with Wooyoung.  Shaking his head, Yeosang walks through the emergency room area and out the doors, sure he will find you and have to apologize again.
Instead, he’s dumbstruck as he spots your body laying still on the pavement of the parking lot, seemingly lifeless.  His calm is shaken as he rushes over to kneel beside you, lifting your limp arm to check your pulse.  “Holy shit…oh no…” he murmurs, then slips his arms under you to pick you up, turning to return to the emergency room.
 Before he can take two steps, he looks down in shock to see you gazing up at him, your eyes now crimson as you instinctively reach for him, your hunger too overwhelming so near a source of blood.  “What-” is all he manages before your fangs are sinking into his neck, pangs of hunger finally satiated as you moan in bliss at the taste of him.
He’s different from Wooyoung; Woo’s blood was rich and savory….but this man was sugary sweet, like a dessert.  Your moan mixes with his as you drink greedily, and he slowly lowers the both of you to the ground, his arms holding you close, urging you to drink more.  Finally coming to your senses, you pull back, horrified at your behavior.
You’ve never felt so blood starved, so uncaring of your surroundings before; not since you’d been a fledgling vampire, trying to make it on your own.  You were in a lighted parking lot, exposed and vulnerable and here you were drinking from someone you’d just met after having harmed his friend.  “Oh no….I’m so sorry-” but he’s cutting you off, his mouth seeking yours, his eyes glazed with need.
“....more…take more…take it all…” he’s whispering, then he’s kissing you and you’re too startled to do anything but let him for a moment.  “Wait…hey..oh man…” you are trying to speak but the man is shoving his tongue down your throat and it’s extremely hard not to just kiss him back.  Finally grasping ahold of his shoulders, you force him away from you and stifle a laugh as you watch him continue to reach for you, his cute lips protruding for more kisses.  “Yeosang? YEOSANG?” You finally manage to get his eyes to clear a bit, but his hands are still a little gropey and you are more shy about the PDA you’re both giving off right now than the blood drinking.  Strange, but true.
You manage to extract yourself safely from his arms and stand, looking down at the now seemingly afflicted man.  His big brown eyes are gazing up at you in desire and admiration causing you to groan in defeat.  “Not you too….” you whimper and then he’s standing at your side, arm around your waist.  “I’ve made you upset.” he whispers, and you can only groan, wondering what the hell is causing this strange effect on men you’d just met.
“You are a vampire.” he states, smelling your neck, nuzzling you and you have  to push him gently to keep him at arm's length.  Luckily, he doesn’t seem to be a spastic as Wooyoung, but he was still being persistent.  What was going on with these men after you’d bitten them?
“Unfortunately, yes.  Please…look…I just haven’t fed and I am so sorry for doing that-” you manage, but he’s shaking his head, and you watch him shudder.  “Damn…now I understand why Wooyoung was so frantic…this is ... .wow.” he swallows and licks his lips at you, and you suddenly have the feeling of being someone’s prey.  Much different than the dynamic you were used to.  Trying to put more space between yourself and him, you back away a bit.
“I think it’s safer if I leave-” you tell him, but he’s shaking his head, his eyes pleading.  “No..don’t go…please…you can have more if you’d like. Just don’t leave.” he begs, reaching for you.  “You know, it’s not smart to go around offering vampires your entire blood supply, pal.” you hiss at him, looking around.
“I…suppose you have a point…” he nods and you roll your eyes.  “I don’t know why this is happening, but…just ... .don't come near me…AND DO NOT OFFER YOUR FREAKING BLOOD TO OTHERS-god…do you two have a death wish or something?” you ask him, and he just tilts his head at you.  “No, I don’t think so…but if you want me to-” “I do not want you to die.  Holy crap…I didn’t even want to bite you!” you yell at him and he frowns at you, looking a little bit hurt.
“Did you..not like my blood?” his lower lip juts out a bit as he touches the spot on his neck where you’d drank from him.  “Was it not good enough?” he continues, then you’re walking back towards him, feeling awful.  “Oh…no no….that’s not it at all! Oh my…no your blood was delicious, really!” The smile he gives you has you backpedaling again as he runs to you and is nuzzling you again.
Oh you little shit, you think and have to give him some credit.  He was a little bit smarter than Wooyoung in getting close to you, choosing subterfuge.  But you did not want a repeat and another mortal in the hospital. You may have plenty to spare for bills, but the guilt would just smother you.  “Look…please…I may be a vampire but I’ve worked hard on not being a monster.” You tell him and he frowns as he takes your hand.  “You could never be a monster to me.” he tells you and you just put your face in your hand.  “I’ve upset you again…” he mutters and you just shake your head without looking up.
“No…yes….I don’t know.  I’m an all powerful vampire and here I am being flustered by a few humans who want to be my snack.” you snort out.  Suddenly he’s pressing against you, tilting your head up to make you look at him.  “What-?” “I don’t want to be your snack.” he whispers, brushing his lips over yours and you shiver a little.
“I want to be the only meal you ever need.” “Well fuck.” you choke out, swallowing hard.  “That’s a new one…shit.  Goddamnit..NO!” you say, trying your best to be gentle as he presses himself as well as his…obvious arousal against your leg.  “No..no.  No.” you keep saying, then you spot the tall man named Seonghwa coming out of the hospital and feel a sense of relief.
“Seonghwa!” you cry, trying to walk towards him but Yeosang is clinging to you so you kind of pull him along with you as you shuffle towards your savior.  His confused look is understandable as he watches the man paw at you, holding on as you try to free yourself.  “What the…what in the world?” he stammers, mouth hanging open at the sight.
“Please help….he…I…shit.” you just say, pleading with your eyes.  “What the hell has gotten into you, Yeosang?” He sighs as he tries to pull him off of you, but he’s pouting again and you have to try to not look at his angelic adorable face.  “I understand Woo, he’s a mess…but come on man…this is unacceptable.”  Hwa says and Yeosang just whines as he finally lets go.
“It’s our secret.” he whispers as he is pulled away and you just frown at the two men as you back away.  “I’m sorry…yet again…I am not sure-” he starts but you put your hands up.  “No no…it’s my fault…listen just…we can talk on the phone, it’ll be better that way.” you say, turning and taking off to your car.  You can hear the cries of the afflicted Yeosang behind you and your heart drops.  If only what they were feeling was real and not some weird blood thing.
When you finally get home, you just look around your lonely apartment and feel the overwhelming emptiness of your life creep back in.  The last 72 hours had been the most eventful you’d had in a long, long time and a small part of you was kind of longing for the physical touch of someone again.  Those poor boys, hopefully it’ll wear off and they will forget all about you.
That’s what you wanted right? “Of course it is!” You scream at your walls, then you’re apologizing loudly as your neighbors yell to keep it down.  “Don’t make me come bite your ass too, dick.” you mumble, then snort, remembering Wooyoung crawling all over you, his lips on yours, offering you himself and his blood.  Then Yeosang…
You definitely didn’t go to sleep that morning fantasizing about draining them both dry in more ways than one.  Definitely not.   I wonder what would happen if I bit any of the others? You think drowsily as you drift off with the sunrise.
"Are you sure we've got the right place?"
San leaned forward a bit from where he sat in the driver's seat.
Poking my head between the front seats, I held out the address in my right hand.
"For the umpteenth time, San, yes, I'm sure this is the right place."
Mingi plucked the piece of paper from my hand.
"I mean, maybe we've got the wrong place, there could be another 13th Header Lane somewhere else? To be honest, this place looks kinda abandoned."
San nodded along, "Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Mingi on that one. For someone who only just passed away less than a month ago, this place doesn't look very well kept."
We'd been sitting in front of the gates for the past 15 minutes debating whether or not we were at the right place. And I say debate, but it was more of San and Mingi not believing that it was the right place.
The iron gate that encased the manor and grounds was slightly rusty looking. The ground surrounding the manor was overgrown with weeds and an odd fallen branch here and there. The manor itself had definitely seen better days. The old stone building was covered by ivy vines, the original black roof was now a faded dark grey, the stairs leading up to the door were covered in leaves, and the wooden door itself looked like it might collapse with just a knock.
Rolling my eyes at their antics, I pointed to something above the gate, "Yes, and if you two looked a bit higher, then you would notice the words 'Rora Manor'."
Ducking my head down so I could have a better look at the gate, "Now, do I have to get out of the car to open the gates or something, because I don't think they're auto-"
Before I could finish my sentence, the gates started to slowly swing open, an awful squeak emitting from the hinges as it did so.
Mingi swallowed nervously before glancing back at me, "Why don't we just turn back. I mean, £500,000 is nothing to you."
Shaking my head, I urged San, "It was probably just the breeze that blew it open, nothing to be scared about. Come on, San, let's drive in."
Slowly coming up to the main house, I let out a small breath, "This place is bigger than I thought."
Stepping out of the car, I stood between San and Mingi, "Let's check the place out before we bring the things in."
Carefully making our way up the stairs, we made it to the front door.
"Should we knock?"
I looked at the two men beside me, only to be met with a questioning gaze from San.
"Knock? You own the place now, and you want to knock? What do you expect to be in there? Ghosts?"
"Oh, shut up. Okay, fine, let's just open it then."
Turning the handle, I slowly pushed the door open. The inside of the house wasn't as bad as I thought it was. There was no dust or anything, and everything seemed to be in order.
Closing the door behind us, we stood in the middle of the entry taking everything in. Most of the furniture seemed to be made of mahogany.
As my eyes travelled over the portraits lining the wall up the stairs, I felt a cold draft when my eyes landed on the portrait in the middle. It was of a handsome young man, probably in his early twenties. He had blond hair that was slicked back, his eyes hard as he stared ahead. And for some reason, I felt as if he was actually staring at me like he was there. Like he was aware that someone was staring at him.
"Can I help you?"
Startled by the voice and the screams from San and Mingi, I jumped slightly before placing a hand over my heart as if that would stop it from trying to burst out of my chest.
Eyes wide, I quickly turned around to see who the stranger was. Though not before hitting San and Mingi on the arm.
"What is wrong with you two?"
San sheepishly scratched the back of his neck, "Sorry, he startled us."
Turning back to the man, I took him in. He was probably in his early twenties with his dark hair slicked back, a sharp gaze and a black suit that, if I had to guess, was mandatory to anyone who worked for my Aunt Jenna because it was very similar to the one her solicitor wore the day that I met him. There was something about him that seemed familiar, though I can't quite point out what.
"Hi, sorry, I'm Y/N. I inherited this property from my Aunt Jenna. I didn't really expect anyone to still be here."
The man slowly nodded, "Yes, we have been expecting you, Ms L/N. I am Seonghwa. I usually tend to the grounds; however, I have not been able to do so since your aunt's passing as I had matters to handle. That is why it is in its current state. Though I can guarantee that I will have it back to its former glory very soon."
Nodding, "Okay, umm, you can just call me Y/N, and these are San and Mingi, they'll be staying with me." Said boys gave him a small nod. "And you said 'we'? Are there still more people on the grounds?"
"There are technically 5 more members of staff here. Yeosang, who is the butler of the house, is currently in town getting some necessities for you. We weren't quite expecting you to arrive this soon. Jongho, who guards the grounds, is also in town with Yeosang. Then we have Wooyoung. He is the chef of the house, though don't be surprised if he pops up somewhere suddenly because he is also quite mischievous. Wooyoung is," Seonghwa frowned slightly, "I actually don't know where he is right now. The last two are Yunho and Hongjoong. They help out around the house, though you probably won't see them that often, especially Hongjoong. He tends to a lot of the things outside the manor."
Just as I was about to say something, I was cut off by a disembodied voice.
"I'm home~"
Although Seonghwa's face remained neutral, I could see the exasperation behind his eyes, "That would be Wooyoung."
Footsteps could be heard behind us, though before I could turn to see who it was, an arm was slung across my shoulder.
Blinking, I slowly turned my head to the side.
"Hi?"
He brushed some of his hair back and grinned at me.
"Hi boss, I'm Wooyoung, I'll be in charge of your meals and be your daily dose of serotonin. And if you want to have some fun, you can find me in the kitchen."
Wooyoung sent a wink my way before going over to Seonghwa.
"Have you got those herbs from the garden I asked for? I kinda need them."
Seonghwa pinched the bridge of his nose, "They are on the kitchen table."
And with a nod, Wooyoung made his way back into the kitchen.
"I'll show you three to your rooms. Follow me."
Following him up the stairs, my gaze landed on the portrait of the young man. As we went past it, my eyes stopped on the copper plate underneath it. Kim Hongjoong.
Before I could think deeper about the name, Mingi put a hand on the small of my back, urging me to move forward.
"Keep going. If you stop for too long, we're gonna get lost here."
Walking down a corridor, Seonghwa halted to a stop and turned to face us.
"I assume you'd like to stay on the same floor, yes?"
Seeing us nod, Seonghwa then turned back around and pointed to the end of the corridor.
"Y/N, your room will be the one furthest down the corridor. That's the master bedroom. Your friends can stay in the rooms next to it. I'll leave you three to yourselves to settle in. If you need help with your luggage, just call for me. Or, if you are willing to take a risk, Wooyoung."
Tumblr media
By the time we brought everything in and tidied everything up a bit, it was already 5 in the afternoon.
The three of us were currently sitting in my bedroom, talking.
"So, Y/N," San turned from where he sat at the foot of the bed, "What do you think?"
"Of what?"
"The people working here, what do you think?"
Chuckling, I rolled over so that I was facing him, "I think they are very good-looking."
"Very good -" Mingi smacked my calf, "That's not what he meant. What vibes are you getting from them?"
"Vibes? Guys, I just have 'inklings', it's not like they're reliable."
"Well, I can tell you what San and I think. There's something off with them."
Shrugging, I crossed my fingers over my stomach as I turned onto my back.
"I mean, sure, they're a bit weird, but I'm not getting any bad vibes from them. Dark, maybe. But not bad. Also, when have you two been so superstitious?"
San sat up from his position, "We're not, but your 'inklings' are more reliable than you think. Now come on, I smell food."
Laughing, Mingi and I got up and made our way down to the kitchen with San.
The moment I stepped into the kitchen, I stopped in my tracks.
Oh, that is a lot of food.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I made my way to the kitchen island.
"You need help with anything, Wooyoung?"
Wooyoung shook the spatula in his hand, "Oh, no, you, Mademoiselle, are going to sit down and relax. I have everything handled. Dinner will be served in 5 minutes."
Nodding, I was just about to leave when Wooyoung stopped me.
"Y/N? Are you alright eating with just your friends or would you like us to join you?"
"You guys can come join us! The dining room is far too big for just three people."
Smiling, I made my way into the dining room where I noticed Seonghwa and a couple of unfamiliar faces.
"Good evening!"
"Ah, Ms L/N."
Grimacing slightly at the name, I nodded slightly as I made my way to them.
"Sorry, I mean Y/N."
"That's better."
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Ms L/N."
A pale hand came into view, and as my eyes trailed up the arm and to the face, I was met with a remarkably handsome man. His blond hair was pushed back with a couple of strands falling onto his forehead, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips, and the birthmark at the corner of his eye only seemed to add to his charm.
"My name is Yeosang and I am your butler."
Placing my hand in his, I smiled, "Pleasure's all mine, and please, call me Y/N."
Letting go, I turned my attention to the muscular, dark-haired man beside Seonghwa, "I’m going to assume that you are Jongho?"
Earning a small nod from him, I smiled because of course the guy that guards the place is the cold and gruff one.
-later that night-
Curling into the corner of the sofa, I looked at the open book in my hands. It's about 11.30 right now and everyone was in bed while I decided to sit in the living room for a bit longer.
Now that I could finally have some peace and quiet, I couldn't help but think over some of the weird things that happened.
One that interests me the most is Kim Hongjoong. I remember Seonghwa mentioning something about Hongjoong helping out in the house, but the plate underneath the picture had two dates on it. If this Hongjoong guy -
Startled, I turned my head to the left, towards the corridor where I heard the footsteps.
Pausing for a moment, I shook my head before looking back down at the book. It was probably just some floorboards or something. Though before I could carry on with my thoughts, I heard the footsteps again, only this time, they were closer.
Closing the book, I slowly got up from the sofa and walked towards the corridor. As I was about to look into it, a tall figure came out of the dark, causing me to stumble over the carpet and crash to the floor.
Placing a hand on my chest, I tried to calm my racing heart as I eyed the man in front of me.
"You must be Y/N!"
Nodding slowly, "Yes, and may I know the name of the guy who almost gave me a heart attack."
"Oh, right! Sorry about that, I thought everyone was in bed. I'm Yunho, I, well, I help out with bits of everything here."
Yunho smiled brightly as he helped me up from the floor.
"Nice to meet you. Hopefully the next time I see you, I won't be sent tumbling to the floor."
Yawning slightly, I reached a hand up to massage my neck.
"Come on, I'll walk you up to your room."
As we walked up the stairs, my eyes, once again, landed on Kim Hongjoong. I don't know what it was about that portrait, but it was just weird.
"We're here, I'll see you in the morning."
As I watched Yunho's figure leave, the light from the moon caught his sleeve, making me notice something.
"Hey, Yunho?"
He turned around, slightly confused.
"You've got a brown stain on your sleeve."
Yunho held his arm up, "Oh, must've spilt my coffee this morning. I'll wash it out later.  Goodnight, Y/N."
"Goodnight."
Lying in bed that night, I could feel my eyes starting to shut, and as I drifted off, I had one last thought.
I could've sworn that stain was more maroon than brown.
That night, a figure appeared at the side of the bed, watching.
Placing one of its hands on my head, it whispered, "Soon, we shall all be reunited."
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
When you first met Mingi, you were intimidated by his presence, taking him as a very imposing and menacing but once you got to know him, you discovered it was merely in his looks alone. Standing at 6’1 with broad shoulders, he was a physically imposing man.
Adding to that aura of dominance was the fact that he wasn’t entirely human. You learned early on that Mingi was a werecreature. Specifically of the hyena variety. It was something you were new to, having never met another werecreature before him.
When things shifted in your relationship with him from platonic to romantic, Mingi was quick to let you know everything he felt was important about his condition. When he transformed, when his heat was, and what he usually did during his transformation and how long it lasted.
When his first transformation since making your relationship official happened, you had seen him the day before, making him a variety of meals for afterwards as you knew he would be too tired and weak to do it himself. His first cycle passed by without issue and soon it became part of your monthly routine to go over the day before, check on him, make him a week’s worth of meals and kiss him goodbye until you saw him a couple days later.
For almost a year, this was the norm for you. Something that had also unintentionally become the norm was not being intimate with Mingi. At all. Sure you’d kissed and even made out but as things got heated, Mingi always managed to push you away, trying to change the course of the evening or even leaving before you got a word in.
You’d never gone beyond a few lingering touches and it was slowly chipping away at your confidence and self esteem. It made you feel unwanted and unattractive despite being the center of male attention when you went out with your friends to the clubs once a month.
You didn’t want the attention of some random guy at the bar trying to buy you enough drinks to forget your own name and end up in bed with him only to regret it the following morning.
You wanted the attention of your boyfriend.
You’d tried speaking to Mingi about this, expressing your concerns but each time he managed to change the subject, steering it in an entirely different direction and avoiding the conversation altogether.
You didn’t expect sex from him. Of course he could have very specific reasons for not wanting to have sex with you but it was the fact he wouldn’t discuss it with you. All you wanted was a reason, something as simple as he wasn’t ready and you would drop it but you didn’t even get that.
And so, after being rejected all day on one of your rare days off, you wanted to find out why your boyfriend didn’t want to have sex with you.
You let out a sigh, keeping your eyes on the TV as you sat on the couch with Mingi sitting a cushion’s distance away, his massive frame taking up the opposite side of the couch from you. You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye, noticing the way his eyes were wandering your body, focusing on the exposed skin of your thighs.
He often would look but never touch. You wanted so desperately for him to touch you in more ways than guiding you out of his way when he was trying to pass you or cupping the back of your head so he could kiss your forehead. You want his hands everywhere.
You heard Mingi clear his throat and you quickly focused your gaze back on the TV. You had no idea what was playing, having lost interest in it a long time ago as you were too busy fantasizing about your massive boyfriend’s hands all over you.
“I’m gonna grab a drink. You want one?” he asked as he got up from the couch, towering over you. “Sure,” you said softly as he nodded and moved around the couch to the kitchen behind where you sat. You heard the fridge open and close and a few moments later, he returned with two cold cans of cola, handing one to you and sitting back down.
“You don’t have to sit all the way over there,” you said as you cracked open your can and took a sip. Mingi turned to look at you wide-eyed. “Oh, uh I’m okay over here,” he said nervously. You set your can down, settling back against the couch, disappointment settling in your chest. “Fine,” you muttered, picking up the remote and changing the channel.
Mingi turned to look at you, taking in your profile as you flipped through channels until you exasperatedly tossed the remote onto the couch between you. “You pick something,” you snapped, not looking at him. Your tone made him recoil internally, wondering why you were upset.
He picked up the remote and flipped through the stations until he found something to put it on. He set the remote on the coffee table as an uncomfortable silence fell over the two of you. He could tell you were thinking hard, something bothering you but you were working out a way to bring it up.
Mingi hated this. He hated fighting with you. He hated the silent treatment. He hated denying you. Earlier, when he’d arrived and sat on the couch, you had joined him while dinner was finishing cooking in the oven. What started as a few kisses turned into more as you straddled his lap, kissing him deeply as you started to grind against him.
Mingi wanted more than anything to let you have him right there on the couch but he was reminded of his past experiences. His previous partners who became weirded out upon learning that a man so strong and physically large was so submissive. He’d never been one to be a leader or in charge of anything and that extended to his preferences in the bedroom.
His relationships in the past failed because of his inability to take charge in not only the bedroom but in the relationship as well. He wasn’t comfortable with it but he really, really liked you, possibly even loved you, and he didn’t want to mess this up. He’d forced himself to take charge in some scenarios but he felt so out of his depth.
And when it came to intimacy with you, he wanted more than anything to be intimate, to give into his more carnal desires but his past trauma held him back and he ended up pushing you away just like earlier. He’d quickly pushed you off him before things go get too far and luckily for him the timer on the oven went off and he was saved for a little while longer.
He knew it was no way to conduct things and that he should have a serious conversation but he just never seemed to be ready because he felt that things would end if he was honest with you. He was trying to prolong the inevitable.
“Do you not like me or something?”
Your question caught him off guard as your words hung in the air, waiting for his response. He turned to look at you, taking in your profile as you sat there, arms crossed over your chest, one leg tucked under you. “What?” he asked stupidly. He shouldn’t have done that. He should have immediately refuted your claim but he was just so taken aback.
“Do you not like me?” you asked again, turning to look at him. Mingi hesitated. Of course he liked you. He loved you. His brows knitted together in confusion. “Of course I like you,” he replied, turning in his seat to look directly at you. “Then why do you always do this?” you asked.
“Do what?” Mingi asked, knowing it was the wrong thing to ask. He knew what you were talking about. Your eyes narrowed. “Always push me away when we start to get intimate.” Mingi felt his stomach sink, the same feelings of anxiety and dread that he always got when this topic came up, rising into his chest.
It was starting to get hot in the apartment. He needed fresh air.
“I need some air,” he said getting up.
“No,” you said, getting to your feet and following your boyfriend. “We’re not doing this again!”
Mingi sighed as he stopped abruptly, making you run into him before he turned. “I can’t have this conversation with you, really,” he said. “Why?” you asked, feeling a pang in your chest when he turned and started for the door. Panic rose up inside of you as you watched him grab his keys from the counter as he passed it. You don’t know what came over you but you weren’t about to let this go.
“Song Mingi, if you walk out that door, we are through!!”
He froze, hand on the doorknob as your voice rang through the apartment. His shoulders visibly relaxed before he turned to look at you, a look of shock on his face. “You’d break up with me over this?” he asked softly. You threw your hands up in exasperation. “I don’t know what you expect me to do!” you all but shouted at him.
“I’m trying to have a mature conversation with you but all you’ve done is shut me down. I just want to know why you don’t want me!” you said, the corners of your eyes burning as you fought back tears. “I… don’t want you?” Mingi asked, sounding confused. “When have I ever said I didn’t want you?” he asked, walking back into the living room.
“You didn’t have to say it!” you countered. “Every time we’re intimate, you always push me away before it gets too far. I could understand if you would explain to me that you aren’t ready or it was something else but you won’t even entertain a conversation about it with me!” You blinked away the tears and turned away from him, not wanting to let him see you cry.
“What else am I supposed to think?”
Silence fell over the two of you, punctuated only by the sound of the TV, forgotten in the midst of your argument. Maybe it was better to just let him go, let this all go. Maybe you’d be better off. You loved Mingi, you really did, but you never signed on for all of this. You knew getting involved with him was going to be a learning experience after he revealed his nature as a werecreature but to you, that was nothing.
The silence was broken by the sound of Mingi’s keys being set on the counter and the floor creaking as he walked towards where you stood. You felt his arms wrap around you, warmth from his body enveloping you as he rested his head on yours. “It’s not because I don’t want you,” he murmured, finally speaking.
“I want you so bad I can barely stand it,” he added. “I just don’t want to scare you off.” You turned in his arms to face him. “How would it scare me off?” you asked, looking at him with a confused expression, brows knitting together. “Because,” Mingi started, his voice faltering. “It’s embarrassing,” he continued. “You thought I would judge you?” you asked. Mingi shrugged.
“It’s happened in the past. The people I’ve dated didn’t want…” he trailed off. “Didn’t want what?” you asked, trying to coax it out of him. He sighed, throwing his head back to look up at the ceiling. “Someone like me,” he blurted out. You reached up, cupping the back of his neck and forcing him to look down at you. “What does that mean? Someone like you?”
“I’m not very… confident,” he started. You snorted. “Now that’s a damn lie,” you retorted. “You’re the most confident man I know,” you added. Mingi shook his head. “Confident is the wrong word,” he admitted. “I’m not… I don’t like to be… in charge.”
Realization dawned on you and you let out a sigh. “You’re not dominant,” you stated. Mingi nodded, shutting his eyes and bracing for what you assumed was some sort of angry response. It nearly broke your heart that he felt he had to lie and hide this from you because of the reactions of his past relationships. You could understand his hesitation. But you weren’t like his previous partners.
“Mingi,” you started, grabbing the front of his shirt when he tried to turn away. “Yah,” you said sternly. “Look at me when I’m speaking to you!” the tone in your voice must have surprised him. You’d never sounded so commanding before. At least not to him. “Yes, ma’am,” he answered quickly.
“I wish you had just told me, instead of hiding it from me,” you explained, cupping his cheek. “If you had told me, we could have solved this a lot sooner instead of tiptoeing around it.” Mingi leaned into your touch. “I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I thought that if I told you, it might make you leave me.”
You pulled him into a kiss. “I almost broke up with you because I thought you weren’t attracted to me,” you said softly. “This is why we need to communicate,” you continued. “I’m not like your previous partners, you know this.” Mingi nodded, pressing another kiss to your lips. “I know,” he murmured. “And I never should have compared you to them. I was just…”
“Scared,” you said. “I get it. It can be hard to break that cycle of trauma.”
“It’s not weird though,” you continued, taking his hand and pulling him towards the bedroom. “I don’t mind taking control,” you added, smiling at him as you pushed the door open with your back. “How about you lay down and let me take care of you. How does that sound, baby?”
Mingi nodded wordlessly as you guided him over to the bed, turning so you could push him down onto it. He landed on his butt with a soft oof as you moved to shut the door and returned to him. “Let me take care of you,” you repeated, slowly kneeling in front of him, hand sliding down his chest to the waistband of his sweats.
You slipped your fingers under the elastic pulling it forward slightly before letting it snap back against his stomach, making him gasp. You chuckled softly as you grabbed the sides of the waistband and started tugging. He lifted his hips, letting you pull the material all the way down his thighs and to the floor where it pooled around his ankles. He sat in his underwear, waiting for your next move.
You could see he was starting to grow hard but you knew Mingi’s body, even if you hadn’t seen it fully. You knew that your boyfriend had a massive cock and from what you could see now, half hard, you were correct in your assumptions. You pressed your hand over the bulge in his boxers, making him his, a shudder run up his spine as his eyes fluttered shut.
“Does that feel good?” you asked, stroking him slowly, watching his expressions. “Y-yes,” he whined, hips starting to roll up into your touch. You could feel him growing harder and harder by the minute and decided to take it a step further. You slipped your hand into his underwear, pulling his cock free from the material. Wrapping your fingers around the base, you started to slowly pump your hand up and down.
“Fuck,” your boyfriend hissed. “Feels so good, babe.”
You let go, spitting into your hand and resumed stroking him, your saliva working as a lubricant and moving faster with ease. He was almost completely hard by this point. “Babe, please,” Mingi whined. “What is it?” you asked softly, your speed never faltering as you looked up at your boyfriend. “I wanna be inside you,” he whined, hips bucking.
You clicked your tongue as you slowed your hand for a moment. “No, baby,” you answered. Mingi whined again, shaking under your touch. “Please, mommy,” he gasped and you felt your cheeks burn. That was a new one. You’d never been called that before but you weren’t about to comment on it. Not when you wanted to focus on making Mingi feel good. You could discuss it later.
“Sorry baby,” you said softly. “Only good boys get their dicks wet.” Mingi whined, lifting his head to meet your gaze. “It’s literally wet right now,” he countered but you shushed him, stroking him faster and making him remove his shirt. He did as you asked, tossing the tee to the floor.
“Please, baby. I’ll be good, I promise,” Mingi begged. It was tempting to give into him but why the rush? “Not tonight, baby boy,” you cooed. “Maybe in the morning.” You continued to stroke him, his hips bucking up to meet your movements as you drew him closer to his high.
You felt his cock throb and twitch in your hand and you knew he was close. “Just a little more,” you cooed. “Be a good boy and cum.”
As if on command, Mingi let out a moan and you angled his cock away from you, watching as thin ropes of his milky white cum shot out of him, landing on his toned stomach, contrasting with his tanned skin. You continued to pump him slowly, making sure to squeeze every last drop out of him.
“What a good boy you are,” you said sweetly as you got to your feet, ignoring the gusset of your panties sticking to you as you climbed onto the bed. “I bet that felt really good, didn’t it?” you asked, to which he nodded. “Let’s get you cleaned up,” you said, starting to get up but his grip on you was strong. He muttered something that you couldn’t make out.
You leaned over to hear him better. “What was that, baby?” you asked. “You need to speak up.”
“I said,” Mingi started, licking his lips. “Sit on my face.” You let out a chuckle. “It’s okay, baby,” you said softly, caressing his cheek. “You don’t need to do anything. We can clean up and go again tomorrow if you really want to.” Mingi shook his head. “No,” he said, grabbing your wrist, moving to lace his fingers with yours. “Please, Y/N,” he whined. “P-please, mommy. I want you to sit on my face!”
You stared at him, nibbling on your bottom lip for a moment before you relented. “Fine,” you said. “But no cleaning or wiping your mess away until I cum, do you understand me?” you asked, leaning over to look into his eyes. He nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”
You got off the bed, tugging your shorts and underwear down and letting them fall to the floor, stepping out of them and then returning to Mingi on the bed. He waited eagerly as you straddled his chest. “Before we do this. You have to tell me if you can’t breathe. Tap my thigh three times if you need air,” you instructed. Mingi shook his head. “I don’t need air,” he replied. “I just need your pussy on my tongue, right now.”
You reached behind you, grabbing his sensitive, soft cock. He let out a whimper before nodding. “Yes mommy,” he said quickly. You let go and scooted forward until your knees were on either side of his head. Mingi’s hand moved up to cup your ass. “It’s okay,” he said softly. “Just sit down.”
You lowered yourself onto his waiting tongue and let out a moan as he immediately wrapped his lips around your clit, teasing it with the tip of his tongue, the room filling with lew slurping sounds. You reached down, combing your fingers through his hair gently. You felt him flatten his tongue against your clit, licking up and down slowly before he started to circle the nub with the tip.
You let out a moan, eyes fluttering shut as he continued to make out with your sex, ignoring the wetness that seeped from you onto his lips and chin. He could careless and lapped away at your core, fingers digging into the plush of your ass, pulling you down and close as possible.
His tongue traced down to your hole, teasing the entrance before he pulled you flush against him, his tongue wiggling into your pussy. You let out a gasp, feeling his nose bump against your clit as he tasted everything you had to give him. His tongue slipped out and was back on your clit, flicking against it in quick succession, each flick making your body jerk violently as he built you up to your climax.
Your fingers in his hair tightened as your hips started to move involuntarily. Mingi gently pushed you up slightly. “Yes, ride my tongue,” he murmured, slurring his words before pulling you back down on his flat tongue, letting you grind against him. You let go of his hair, leaning over to place your hands against the mattress as you started to roll your hips, grinding your clit against his tongue.
Your body shook, thighs squeezing his head as your orgasm washed over you, a wave of euphoria spreading throughout your body as you continued to ride out your high. Finally, you shuddered, feeling the effects of your exertion in the burning of your thighs but also in the sensitive bundle of nerves your boyfriend was still licking slowly.
You finally pulled away, lifting off his face and swinging your leg over to kneel beside him. The lower half of his face was coated in your release, shining in the low light of your bedroom.
“You are a mess,” you said with a chuckle before getting up and heading into your ensuite bathroom to grab a clean washcloth, wetting it with warm water and returning to the bed. Mingi held out his hand but you pushed it away and started wiping his face clean before wiping down his stomach, cleaning it of his release.
Once you were satisfied he was no longer sticky, you tossed the towel into the hamper as Mingi’s arms circled your waist, pulling you onto his naked lap and smiling up at you with a very tired and lazy smile. You felt his cock prod at your thigh and you chuckled, running your fingers through his hair before kissing him. “You’re hard again,” you noted between kisses.
“Mmm,” he hummed in answer. “I could go again,” he offered. “But I’m also very tired.” You nodded. “My thighs are burning,” you admitted. “How about we rest and then maybe later we can go again. Maybe I’ll even let you fuck me,” you said, pulling him into a slow, languid kiss that was messy and nothing but tongue. “Have I been a good boy?” he asked, perking up slightly, making you laugh.
“Yes,” you answered. “You’ve been a very good boy,” you added. Mingi pulled you into a kiss, grabbing your hips and pushing you down so his cock pressed against your clit. “I could go right now,” he said eagerly. “You won’t even have to do anything,” he added. You cupped his cheek, pressing a kiss to his lips. “If you promise I won’t have to lift a finger,” you said.
Mingi nodded excitedly. “I promise!” he said eagerly. You nodded, nose bumping against his. “Alright,” you replied, kissing him and pulling back, resisting the urge to laugh when he pouted, trying to chase your lips. “Show me what you can do, big boy.”
Keeping his hold on you, Mingi shifted from sitting to his knees and laid you back against the pillows before removing your top, dropping it to the floor and cupping your chest over your bralette. He kissed down your chest, pushing your bralette up and taking one of your nipples in his mouth, swirling his tongue around it before kissing down your stomach, moving your legs over his shoulders as he drew level with your cunt.
“Will you let me fuck you without a condom?” he asked suddenly. You reached down, brushing his hair back. “One step at a time,” you said. “Make me cum with your mouth and then we’ll discuss condoms afterwards. Sound good?” you asked. Mingi nodded. “Yeah, that sounds good.”
You nodded, leaning back against the pillows. “Don’t worry about rushing,” you reminded him.
“We have all night.”
Standing at the edge of a forest clearing, I watched, confused at the scene before me.
The full moon shone brightly in the night sky, casting down light onto Wooyoung, Yeosang and Seonghwa, who were standing in the middle, heads close to one another as they talked in hushed voices.
As I made my way closer to them, the first thing that stuck out to me was their attire. Gone were their black suits and slicked back hair, in their place were dark tunics and chin-length hair.
Tilting my head to the side, I furrowed my brow. They looked like they belonged in the Middle Ages.
"How long until Yunho arrives with the ingredients?" Seonghwa turned around, now facing me. "If he does not come soon, we will not have enough time. The moon is reaching its peak."
Hearing the wind pick up behind me, I was about to turn around but before I could see what it was, everything around me started to fizzle out. Though before everything went black, I could just about make out a tall figure joining the three, passing something to Seonghwa.
"We should hurry up, the gateway will be closing soon."
Opening my eyes, I was startled by the sound of someone knocking on my door.
"Y/N? You up? Breakfast will be ready soon."
Blinking away the confusion, I sat up, "Yeah, I'll be down in a bit."
"I’ll go back down then. Or do you want me to wait for you?"
"It's fine Mingi, you can head back down."
Hearing footsteps walking away, I sunk back down into my pillows, trying to remember what the dream was about. But nothing came up. Shaking my head, I tossed the blanket aside and headed straight to the bathroom to get ready for breakfast.
Tumblr media
"Mingi?" Sipping on a cup of tea, I looked up at Mingi, who was leaning against the kitchen island. "Do you know where San is? I haven't seen him all morning."
Shrugging, Mingi sat down in front of me, "Not sure really, he went out in a rush before you woke up muttering something about..." His face scrunched up in confusion as he thought of the right words. "About dogs? I don't know, I don't really think I heard him right."
Dogs? San doesn't have any dogs.
"Hey, guys."
San took a seat beside Mingi, resting his head in his palm.
Frowning, I took in San's slightly dishevelled hair and the thin coat of sweat on his forehead, "You good? You look like you've just been wrestling or something."
"Yeah, my dad called and said the dogs got out again. Had to head over to help him."
Downing the last bit of tea, I got up from the table, "Okay, I'm gonna head up to the attic. My aunt has some things up there that she wanted me to go through. Are you two joining me or... Never mind, forgot you have work today."
Looking up at the clock, I arched a brow, "Speaking of, shouldn't you two be going? You've got another half an hour before you're late."
Chuckling, I watched as the two scrambled to their feet and make a mad dash out of the front door.
"Bye boys~"
Grabbing the mugs left on the table, I made my way over to the sink.
"Let me do that."
As I was about to start rinsing everything out, Wooyoung appeared beside me and took my place.
Tilting my head to the side, I stared at Wooyoung. Where the hell did he come from? I didn't even hear any footsteps.
"You do know that I have hands, right? I can wash out a couple of mugs."
"Yeah, but it's my job, so off you go to whatever it is you need to do. And if you need any help, Yeosang is in the living room."
Nodding, I walked through the corridor, stopping at the archway to the living room.
"Yeosang?"
I watched as he swiftly put down an old wooden box before he turned around.
"Yes, Y/N?"
"I was wondering if you could show me the way to the attic? I want to go through some of my aunt's stuff."
"Of course," Yeosang walked over to me and led me to a door opposite the dining room. A door I originally thought to have led to a cupboard.
"These stairs lead straight to the attic. There is a door to it on each floor in the same place."
Yeosang opened the door for me, allowing me to go first.
The stairway was slightly dusty and as I walked up, I noticed small, intricate patterns and drawings etched into the wood of the handrails. Some of them portraying creatures of some sort and others resembling runes.
Once we were at the top of the stairs, I reached to open the door to the attic. As the door swung open, I let out a sneeze as the settled dust was disturbed.
Sniffling, I quickly made my way across the threshold to crack open the windows.
"Sorry about the dust. We have not been up here since your aunt's passing."
Waving a hand around, "It's fine, I don't mind."
Yeosang nodded before leaving the attic, closing the door behind him in the process.
Looking around the attic, I let out a sigh, "Oh, this is gonna take forever to go through."
Walking over to the nearest box, I opened it up to find some old journals and papers bound together.
"Better get started then."
Tumblr media
During the time I was in the attic, I found an old leather couch under a dust sheet, which is where I am currently curled up, going through some old letters that were just confusing me to no end.
Frowning, I re-read the first paragraph of the letter in hand.
Dear Ruth,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am currently in the Cheshire countryside hunting down a coven of dark witches and I wish for you to join me. I know this request may sound strange, however, your assistance is of the utmost importance. You see, the coven has joined an alliance with a faerie.
Blinking slowly, I looked out the window.
What. Did. I. Just. Read. Hunting? Dark witches? Faeries? What is this? Supernatural?
Shaking my head, I threw whatever thoughts I had out of my mind.
Okay, so, these letters seem to date back to the 1700s, which means that the talk of witches and whatnot makes sense. Sort of. That was the peak of the witch trials in England, the end of the peak, but it was still a time when people believed that the supernatural walked amongst them.
'Bang.'
Startled, I whipped my head towards an old bookshelf. My eyes immediately landing on a book that was on the floor. Blinking, I saw a shadow move around from the corner of my eye, though when I turned my head, all that I saw were boxes.
Putting the letters down, I slowly walked to where the book lay, crouching down to pick it up.
Brushing away some of the dust from the cover, I scanned over it. The book was an old leather-bound one with intricate patterns adorning the front. Flipping it open, I was immediately met with detailed drawings of creatures and strange beings. Old English filled the empty spaces.
"What're you looking at?"
"Gah!"
Quickly shutting the book, I quickly held it up, ready to attack whoever it was behind me.
"Woah. Hey. It's just me. I just came up to ask you where you wanted to have lunch."
Seeing Wooyoung hold his hands up, I lowered the book as I glared at him.
"Don't do that! What is with you lot and scaring the hell out of me?! First Yunho and now you."
Wooyoung burst out into laughter, causing me to pout slightly.
"Don't laugh! It's really scary, especially when you're all alone and everything's quiet."
Wooyoung shook his head slightly and slung an arm around me.
"Sorry boss, didn't mean to scare you. Are you eating up here or -"
"Kitchen. Definitely kitchen. It's starting to creep me out up here."
Wooyoung walked me to the door, allowing me to go first. As I hurried down the stairs, I failed to notice Wooyoung looking back into the attic, a small smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth as he stared at the spot by the bookshelf.
Tumblr media
Sprawled out on the sofa, I closed my eyes and let out a breath.
God, it's not even three yet and I was exhausted. What exactly did my aunt want me to find? She mentioned something about family heritage, but how am I supposed to find that? The attic is full of books and papers, and I haven't got the faintest idea on which is what.
"Y/N? Are you alright?"
Twitching, I breathed through my nose. I'm really starting to consider putting a bell on these guys or else the next thing they see would be me dropping and going into cardiac arrest.
Opening my eyes, I smiled up at Seonghwa, who was peering down at me, brows creased together in slight concern.
"I'm fine, Seonghwa, just a bit tired."
"Then I would suggest going to bed for a bit."
Laughing, I sat up, "Not that type of tired. My brain's tired."
Seonghwa paused for a second, "Would you like to help with the garden? I find that that helps ease my mind sometimes."
"Umm, yeah, I'd like that." Smiling, I stood up, "I used to help my dad with the garden. Not sure how good I am now, but I'd like to help."
Making our way to the front garden, Seonghwa handed me a pair of gloves, a bucket and a pair of shears.
"You can focus on the weeds and overgrown plants. I need to ask Jongho and Yunho to help move some of the branches that have fallen and then I will help you."
Nodding, I watched as Seonghwa retreated back into the house before turning my attention to the garden.
Crouching down, I began pulling at some of the weeds growing around the house. And while it did pull my mind away from all of the weird stuff in the letters and books, it also pushed forward the fact that everyone in that house made no sound whatsoever when they moved.
It's always like they appear out of thin air. I mean, yes, Yunho scared me last night when I heard 'his footsteps', but I don't think they were his. They sounded closer and they were very heavy. When we walked up to my bedroom, Yunho's footsteps were very faint. They were barely noticeable.
And then there's Seonghwa and Wooyoung. They make no sound at all. It's as if they materialise out of nowhere.
Shaking my head, I pulled myself away from that thought before my mind came up with something impossible.
Pulling out the last weed in sight, I put it in the bucket before stretching slightly. When my eyes caught sight of the window in front of me, I couldn't help but let out a scream as I fell backwards, chest heaving as I took deep breaths.
The blond man that was in the portrait – Hongjoong - was standing there, staring straight at me with hard eyes. Blinking, I looked back at the window, but he was no longer there.
"Y/N?"
I heard someone call out as faint footsteps came rushing towards me.
"Are you alright?"
Seeing a pale hand extended before me, I took it, allowing Yeosang to pull me up.
"Is there anyone else in the house?"
He tilted his head, confused, "I'm sorry?"
"Are there only the six of us in the house, right now?"
Yeosang paused for a second, "We are the only ones here. Why?"
I pointed to the window, heart still stammering, "Because I just saw a man there."
Yeosang stared at the window for a few seconds before turning back to me, "I'm sure it was just a reflection, why don't you head upstairs to bed and rest for a bit. And if you want, I'll have Wooyoung bring up your dinner later."
We'd finished dinner a couple of hours ago and I was now tucked up in bed, thinking.
When I went down earlier for dinner, Yeosang and Seonghwa were talking in the kitchen. Well, arguing would be a better description but they weren't arguing with each other. It was as if there was a third person there that they were arguing with.
Before I made myself known to them, I caught on to Seonghwa hissing something to thin air along the lines of 'She doesn't know yet. Don't do anything until she can help'.
Turning onto my side, I closed my eyes. They knew something about me. About my family and whatever it was, it was something my aunt wanted me to know. And if I had to guess, the answers could be found in those papers and journals in the attic.
Everything around me was dark. I couldn't see anything.
"Though death we will part, but in life we shall find. For past, present and future, forever we shall be bound. Let our love be our anchor, and our powers shared through vein. Regardless of death, we shall find one another."
