I think making humphery modern characterisation part show humphery, part Bob hale and part John mulaney is a stroke of genius.

thank you so much! 💕 I'd forgotten that I wrote that at the beginning of lost then found! We hadn't had as many episodes with Humphrey in at that point (I think season 3 hadn't even come out yet? so I didn't have the info from the bone plot yet!) I did what I could with what I had and just poured little pieces of my heart into the rest of his character, I think (hence why he teaches classics for a while!)
