CON EXPERIENCE (hang in there guys it’s a lot)

arrived somewhere around 11 in time for the photo op. guys it was so quick. i was in line for about 15-20 minutes and was in the photo booth for less than a minute.

i was honestly stunned at how tall he was (and at the fact that he’s real). i have two life size cardboard cutouts of him in my room but still. i’m not sure why i was so surprised honestly when those should have prepared me. i was also less awkward than i expected thankfully!! i thought i’d be beet red and crying my eyes out but i was fine. only after leaving the booth did my hands start violently shaking.

unfortunately i barely had a conversation with him but it was still so nice to have a picture of him (he put his hand on me!!!!!) i wanted to talk more but you’re told to immediately leave when you’re done taking the picture. it’s an extremely quick process

the conversation went

me: hi!

dt: hi! i love your outfit!

me: (starstruck) (felt like melting) thank you!

until now (almost 9 hours after) i still can’t believe i have a picture with THE david fucking tennant 

the panel was so fucking funny. his kids lined up and asked him who’s his favorite kid was 💀 i wasn’t able to ask a question but myeh oh well

another thing was the LINES. yall i had no idea that dt was so famous. the photo op was fine but i barely made it in time to the panel. it was jam packed. if i arrived there a few minutes later i don’t think i would’ve been able to go inside

dear lord and the autograph line was even longer. i didn’t get one because of how long it was. i think if i lined up i would’ve been there for at least four hours (had something to do later so i couldn’t afford to wait that long). non-dt fans were fucking incredulous when they found out who they were lining up for. even overheard one guy say “i mean he’s okay. but not THAT okay” i think this is proof that the tenaissance is real and extremely prominent. i never knew dt was this famous until now honestly

now putting him aside it was an amazing experience. this is my first big con (my first con ever was comic con asia 2017 which was probably half the size of supercon) and i have never seen so many nerds and cosplayers in one place before. felt so good to be among fellow nerds (sorry that sounds so corny 😭) extremely happy to have gone <3

I just realized I never posted the absolute highlight of Supercon for me. Josh is so incredibly nice, I hope I get to see him again soon! 💕

So we were at SuperCon in Raleigh, NC today. My son and I were dressed as Junkrat and Roadhog from Overwatch. And we're waiting in line to go onstage for the costume contest, and this familiar looking fellow stops by us and asks if he can take our picture.

And I'm like, "sure!" and he takes our pic and I'm like, "You look SO familiar. Where do I know you from?"

And he chuckles and says he does Voice work for cartoons. And it hits me. And I go Full Fangirl on him....

"OH MY GOD YOU'RE MICHAEL SINTERNIKLAAS!!! DEAN VENTURE!!!"

He was so sweet and very tolerant of my squeeing. What a lovely guy. He recognized us at a table a little later and stopped to talk with us for a few minutes. Just a darling of a man.

And he's still doing Voice work for season 7, just FYI. ❤❤❤
