Nintendo 64-style collectathon platformer Cavern of Dreams coming to Switch on February 29

Publisher Super Rare Originals and developer Bynine Studio will release Nintendo 64-style collectathon platformer Cavern of Dreams for Switch on February 29 for $12.99 / £9.99 / €12.79, the companies announced.

Cavern of Dreams first launched for PC via Steam on October 19, 2023.

Cavern of Dreams is a surreal 3D platformer with collectathon elements, created in the style of Nintendo 64-era platforming gems. Play as Fynn, the young dragon who enters the Cavern of Dreams in search of his unhatched siblings stolen away by a mysterious villain. Explore densely packed worlds full of puzzles to solve, challenges to overcome, and treasures to collect as you get closer to solving who stole your siblings… and why. Secrets and surprises lurk around every corner in the Cavern of Dreams. Discover four open-ended, densely packed worlds, all with their own unique themes, each connected to a main hub world full of secrets of its own. Search every nook and cranny to not miss any of the secrets the Cavern holds. Acquire abilities from the Sage to access new worlds. Put your platforming and puzzle-solving skills to the test to find your siblings and treasures!

Key Features

Collect Them All Each world is full of goodies to find – 40 eggs placed in perilous situations, mushrooms to feed your siblings once they hatch, collectible cards to fill out an Encyclopedia, and more!

Acquire New Abilities – Collecting eggs allows the Sage to grant Fynn new body parts, which give him new abilities! Use your tail, wings, and more to reach areas you couldn’t before and move super fast!

Non-violent Approach – Fynn is a peaceful little guy, so there’s no combat in the game. Instead, the focus is on exploration, puzzle-solving, and platforming. This, however, does not mean there are no dangers lurking in the Cavern of Dreams, so best be careful.

Meet a Whimsical Cast of Characters – Each world is populated with strange characters who need your help. You may chat up a tree, assist a mermaid, or free a sentient soup dumpling!

The Nostalgic Original Soundtrack – Fully immerse yourself in Cavern of Dreams through a nostalgic and mysterious soundtrack, with each world having multiple versions of its theme based on where you are.

REVIEW | "POST VOID" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade

The premise of POST VOID is fairly simple: keep on killing, and keep on moving to survive. Hesitate, and you die. Dilly-dally, and you die! Allow your severed head idol to deplete itself of health, AND YOU DIE!!! So yeah, POST VOID is certainly one shooter that requires you to always be on your toes in order to win. And man, is it tough as hell!

Roaming around a place that looks like a Primus album cover brought to life, POST VOID will have you shooting to live at every corner. From gangsters to drones, everything that will come at you wants to kill you. Come to think of it, because your idol easily drains itself of health, one could say that even the very thing keeping you alive wants you dead! So who’s there to look out for you? Nobody, that’s who!

It’s this aspect that keeps you running and eying every single corner of the rooms. You don’t know when you’ll be attacked, nor can you create a strategy to avoid death next time around. Because every play-thought is different from the last, you cannot make notes or create a rhythm to make it through each of its eleven levels. One can only jump right into the craziness, and cross your fingers that you won’t die.

And POST VOID absolutely loves killing you! Dare I say, it mocks you every time you start or restart a level. As your idol drains, a countdown will start to let you know of your imminent death. The only way to stop the countdown is to tally up a body count. But these enemies are not chumps; they’ll gang up on you and turn you into a statistic in no time!

Apparently this is a known issue with the Juwel Rio, I’m looking at ways to stop it.), enough Lampeye Killifish to bring my school up to 10 because I think they’re wonderful and then.
