What was the "incident" in the fey AU? Moon's torn wing and the looming shadow over Moon and that kid while Sun rushes towards them in a panic is so foreboding

well.. its a rather broad question, a LOT happened that night, a LOT they want to forget but cant.

Needless to say, it left moon with a torn wing, unable to fly like he could before, and sun deep in guilt for he believes what happened was his fault. And if were being honest, in a sense, it both was, and wasn't, but moon will never blame his closest companion.

Oh jeez uhm okay the only one that comes to mind is this fic from my rec list. I don't know if that's quite what you're looking for but that's the one that popped into my head immediately bc Brian Jr. is there. Also it's really good.

Domestic fluffy fics aren't usually my flavor. I just love when they're mean to each other and stupid and evil. But give that one a try if you haven't already. I feel like it's very in character but also warm and fuzzy for MacDennis standards. Like it made me feel things.

okay so Chia

Personality wise she's kinda completely flat (less of a flat character she absolutely chqnges a lot) and lacks a lot of what we like to call happiness (lmao), she's generally snarky and seem to be unfond of people, he's not really trusting of people (but honestly based on his plot its proabably not to blame) and usually likes to hide in corners because people are scary, and Chia does not like people.

She was originally a lot happier, albeit in the past she basically spent half of her time rotting in her bed, texting her best friend and watching Lps Popular because that's what you do when you're a girlboy who hides in your room most of them,but still he had a lot of energy, personality wise, also obsessed with bugs, he loves bug, knows every single one of them and will not shut up about them, until it disappoints you in which she will crawl to the corner with guilt. She's a little sensitive, okay maybe a lot sensitive she abandoned one of her few other friends because of her family origins (Hi @citrusfruitbat thanks for the doomed yuri). She has many issues this is one of them he has the world's worst Black and white thinking.

Other things include the fact that he is a bottle of emotions, none of those ever come out.

Theres a lot about her she's a thingy called a zodiac (important people) however she personally doesn't like it but it gives him ghost friends so that's fun, (Girlie you're underutilizing your sun zodiac), he does rollerskating and art and can also Bend like a straw, does it to scare the hell out of her brother, Ethan (Owned by @citrusfruitbat) before realising he takes it super poorly.

The scar is due to some unfun things, very unfun things.

She also drinks Black coffee like its nothing. It's silly.

I love him he's my guy, he also kills a man but he deserved it he was a Monarch <3

I *was* going to post another art for the lastest chapter, butttt my laptop decides to be silly and crashed. It deleted EVERYTHING IN MY FOLDERS, INCLUDING MY ENTIRE ART FILES (which is over 2 years old mind you)

Currently in the process of rebuilding everything, so the art will probably have to wait, in the mean time, have this pic :D

I HONESTLY do not know our styles are SO vastly different, he loves darker themes + monsters, and predominantly draws male/masc ocs, whereas I'm the complete opposite, i predominantly draw very feminine bodies on my ocs/my artwork bc its what I enjoy!

i think it would be like. a whole 'oh how the tables have turned' kinda situation.

also i think id cry bc that means id have to draw all his male ocs which i will gladly slave away to learn to draw men bc i love his ocs but also gOD.

Do you have any plans to analyze Irida's design in the future? I just read your Adaman analysis and was blown away by the cultural literacy showcased.

I wasn't really interested in her design because I thought the whole point was that it was to make her look childish and emphasize her inexperience as a young leader.

HOWEVER

The more I dug into it I've realized that Irida's design parallels and contrasts Adaman's in a very clever way. It also is an interesting nod at art history, but is more symbolic and less obvious than Adaman's visually. I'll have to write hers up and then write a sperate post that compares and contrast the designs and meaning if I really want to emphasis how clever, well, thought, and honestly how brilliant both designs are. I literally have 2 pages of notes already on her but I feel like there are a few details that I'll have to stew on a bit to formulate how to bring it all together so others can understand.

Though I'll have to probably do it next weekend since I'm a bit busy this week and will be launching my Haori preorders this weekend.

I wouldn't know what to call it but id love a bird, as common as a sparrow but ones that when they sing they create streams like the northern lights, and various feathers have patterns that shift/glow

Aka combine my adoration of birds with fireflies and add that extra fantasical zest and boom- bioluminescent song birds

I SCOURED through my bookmarks on AO3 and on here and I genuinely cannot find a lot hybrid fics that I’ve read. Tbh I think I’ve only come across a few in my time that I really enjoyed

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is

Personally, it’s not my FAVORITE fic I’ve ever read, but it definitely scratches an itch if you’re looking for a hybrid fic. My only wish is that it got more… rated R if you know what I mean. But! It is very well written!
