LMK fic au idea
Welp im not good writing fic and my ideas are riots
@quitealotofsodapop and I made an au about the Monkey King's children: Paramita, Sun Luzhen, Yuebei Xing, Jidu and Luohou.
This happens once Wukong finishes his journey and returns home, helping with the reconstruction of the island, mainly because he starts to feel lonely especially for what happened with his partner Macaque. And one of the things he always wanted once the war was over is to be able to have a family with his beloved but this couldn't happen so he will do it with his own hands in the style of Nuwa, he would create clay eggs and even find a hidden one and from there his children would be born.
Paramita is the firstborn and heir to the throne of the kingdom of the mountain of fruits and flowers and Alolai being the serious of all his brothers and the most elegant of them, he has an elegance that his father lacks but that will not make him less lethal on the battlefield; he is the general of the kingdom's army and has on his shoulders the expectations of the kingdom as crown prince.
Sun Luzhen in his canon is Wukong's twin brother who had taken so long to hatch, and the second to be born when he was found, the king had adopted him as his own son, He has an energetic personality like a showman, He is now a version of Porty light, he is a professional musician and has worked in various musical genres, even in large industries making soundtracks for various movies or video games under an alias.
Yuebei Xing, the only daughter of the monkey king, is daddy's little princess, with a tough character and a very bad temper, with an enormous and muscular build that makes her completely intimidating, but under the dark shell she is a monkey who loves her family and her brothers, she was born with a cleft lip of which she only has a scar, she is a renowned paleontologist in her field who loves her job, she has always loved digging up bones since she was little.
Jidu and Luohou they are mischievous twins who like to cause trouble like their older brother Luzhen, who love theater like Macaque and dedicate their life to that art. Jidu is a comedian in various stand-up comedy shows while Luohou is an actor in musicals and has participated in many.
Jidu
Grande Caeza de pichi
Luohou
King Paramita, Jidu and Luohou desing based in @wuzhiqi-enj0yer
Wukong wanted to experience the possibility of having children by modeling in clay that he created 4 eggs, by the time he found the stone egg of Luzhen he found that the Paramita egg had already hatched and in time only the eggs of the others would hatch turning Wukong into a tired father of 5 energetic children.
Rumors of his existence abounded, especially the fact that Paramita was the son of Princess Iron Fan, which was never lacking (Paramita could never find the author of that aberration in the book and if he had, he would have pulverized it). This rumor was born because he and Red Son WERE childhood friends and a possible marriage union between them was expected (Like Odette and Derek in The Swan Princess). Now their parents wanted them to marry for love like they did, but then the thing at the mountain happened and they lost contact.
Paramita as a cub: "This is my best friend Red. When we grow up, we'll get married and have an island to ourselves!" :3
But that is if the day they meet again they shout with joy and hug each other like little kids who haven't seen each other all summer.
The rumors of the monkey king's children grew to be illustrated in the non-canonical sequels of the journey to the west and at that time they were just children, but due to the isolation of the monkey king the rumors of them became a myth until their existence was doubted, making the shadow of his father grow…
MK would meet the children of the monkey king in ''A hero is born'' is when he lands on the beach of Huaguoshan Island and they were the monkeys in disguise (Headcanon the common monkeys are glamours of yao monkeys)
Making them lose their glamour and scare MK even more until Paramita has to take control of the situation by lining everyone up.
After the initial scare MK asks them to take him to the monkey king and leave them alone; Now you might be wondering why the monkey king would need a successor? Simple, because Wukong has empty nest syndrome.
For the events of season two Paramita and his brothers will be in charge of MK's training so he wouldn't be so far behind and if they would be aware of LBD.
When MKang finds out about their existence it will be at the end of this same season especially when Pigsy is yelling at Wukong and oh boy, if there is something that Paramita does NOT tolerate at all is that HIS FATHER IS INSULTED (He's a daddy's boy)
Pigsy: You're supposed to be his mentor! Paramita: "Excusr me!? He raised five children as a single parent!" HE IS ANYTHING BUT A LAZY MAN WHO DOES NOTHING, DAMN SERVANT!!!
Paramita was millimeters away from beating Pigsy up, he will defend his father's honor knowing how introverted he is and will let that insult pass (He will fight even in mud to prove his point), his brothers would be pulling him to avoid the chef's announced death, even Yuebei has a hard time doing it being the strongest of all her brothers.
And that would be all c:
EDIT: And now the au called ''Wuxing au''

Funfact! Spicy isn't actually a flavor, we don't taste spicy, capsaicin the chemical that causes it to be spicy, actually activates heat receptors so we don't taste spicy we feel it! If Stone Monkeys are the same then Yuebei must be a real dare devil as a little cub
Referencing some silliness in the notes here.
true! This also includes piperine (found in peppercorns) and allyl isothiocyanate (wasabi, radish & mustard). Your brain basically goes "tf? why is there a tiny fire in my mouth?". A similar sensation occurs in the opposite direction with menthol (mint) where your body is convinced that you just ate snow.
Wukong especially dislikes hot and/or spicy foods due to trauma from being fed molten metal under the mountain. No spicy foods in his house unless there's expressed warning.
Macaque doesn't get what the big deal is at first - it's just seasoning?? Until he accidentally grabs a handful of Mei's wasabi chips and regrets it as he tries quenching the fire with milk.
MK I feel like has a love/hate relationship with spicy food. It's SO GOOD under the perfect circumstances, but so painful! Powers through Red Son's cooking just to be a good guest. DBK walks in moments later with plain BBQ dishes for the monkeys wondering wtf is the little thief doing?
Little stone monkeys like Rumble & Savage, and Luzhen do not care for spicy food either. Little kids don't have that tolerance anyway. Minty things might get a pass if there's ice cream or sweets involved.
Stone Monkeys (along with most unaccustomed animals) in general do not seem to like these confusing sensations.
Except little Yuebei Xing; who deliberately seems to seek these flavours out. In the Slow Boiled au she even tries absorbing the Samadhi Fire but taps out cus it was too spicy. In multiple others she straight up absorbs/eats LBD's soul - very cold. Her parents are very confused, especially since her little brothers Jidu and Luohuo have very normal reactions to spicy things (disgust).

Headcanons for Sun Children
I have ideas now that the cycles have been presented.
Nobody is sure where they came from, Wukong just had them one day.
Yuebei Xing is the eldest and is Wukong's heir. None of them expect Wukong to pass for a good long while, but it's better safe than sorry.
Jidu and Luohou are twins, excluding the fact that Luohou has a third eye- idea stolen from this fic series. I actually imagine Rumble and Savage's designs being used for them.
Yuebei looks like Wukong- at least, how he looked in that cycle
She's actually taller and more muscular, but she likes to glamor when not in battle because people bother her constantly about not being as pretty.
For quite a few cycles, they were a constant in Wukong's life, providing him with a source of companionship alongside the generals and marshals when the pilgrims passed.
Yuebei's skull in most cycles is actually the Six-Eared Macaque's skull. In other cycles, it's the skull of the Demon King of Confusion.
Red Son is the eldest, but Yuebei was in charge when it came to playtime
All three were removed from the cycles at once, cast in the strange otherworld of Chaos, doomed to be forgotten by their father and family. Thankfully, all three have each other to stay sane.
After the pillar, Wukong has started feeling like he's forgotten someone or someones important.
An idea suggested by @draw-of-the-moon: sometimes, before and after the pillar, Wukong will fold three extra monkeys when creating origami. He assumed at least one was for Macaque, but that didn't feel right.
There is something in chaos. He calls himself Pangu
He was delighted when he met the siblings, referring to them as his grandchildren
Yuebei and the twins are unsure of what's going on, but something feels off with "Pangu" and they're forced to constantly entertain him whenever he pops by
Hopefully they can figure a way out before he shows his hand

What do Yuebei Xing and her brothers look like exactly?
We don’t ever get a formal description of Jidu or Louhuo, they are just mentioned but sadly never seen nor referenced. So the best I can say is probs like Wukong. At least we know they are not similar to their sister but considered we have no information if they even have a mother or what species their mother could be, it is hard to say what they would definitively look like.
Yuebei we do get a bit more description.
"Monkey King had a daughter named Yuebei Xing. She had a crooked head with large eyes and a broad mouth, a wide waist, thick hands, and long feet with thunderous footsteps. Every time, she would utterly defeat her enemies. Yuebei Xing stepped forth, "I'm going too." "You were so ugly," the little Suns roared with laughter, "You will become a laughingstock in front of Huaguang.""
While this is descriptive it still somehow avoids whether she even looks like a monkey or not. And it does stay away from the art we have of Yuebei Xing from other media where she is not related to Sun Wukong.
I would say not to take these images to heart as these are Yuebei Xing in other media where she is not Sun Wukong's daughter and thus he has no influence on her looks. Personally I belive they would at least look a lil bit like monkeys all things considered but that is more my personal take.

So @journey-to-the-au showed us WuKong and Willow babies and called him broody.
My only thought was broody chicken, and this was made. This is not meant to be taken seriously. XD it just popped in my head, and I couldn't do anything until I drew it.
I hope you enjoy chicken WuKong keeping his babies "warm." I apologize for my brain for this XD.

The Mother of Sun Wukong's Children in Journey to the South
In my previous articles "The Monkey King's Children" and "Yuebei xing, Daughter of the Monkey King," I revealed that Sun Wukong has three children in Journey to the South (Nanyouji, 南遊記, c. 1570s to 1580s). These include sons Jidu (奇都) and Luohou (羅猴) and daughter Yuebei Xing (月孛星). The novel never explains who the mother is, but an educated guess can be made for the purposes of fan fiction.
Each child is based on one of three lunar deities appearing among the “Eleven Luminaries” (Shiyi yao, 十一曜), which comprises planetary gods from both South and East Asian astrology. The specific deities are:
Jidu (奇都, “Ketu”) = Represents the southern (descending) lunar node, or the point where the moon crosses the earth’s orbit around the sun. Associated with eclipses.
Luohou (羅睺, “Rahu”) = Represents the northern (ascending) lunar node. Also associated with eclipses.
Yuebei Xing (月孛星, “Moon Comet Star”) = Represents the lunar apogee, or the furthest point in the moon’s orbit.
Given their close connection to the night time celestial body, it would make sense for the mother to be Taiyin xing (太陰星, “Great Yin Star”), goddess of the moon from the Eleven Luminaries.
A detail of Taiyin xing from a Chinese depiction of the Eleven Luminaries (larger version). A full version of the drawing appears in the Ink Treasure of Wu Daozi (Daozi mobao, 道子墨寶, c. 13th-century) (larger version). She is the fourth person from the left on the top row.

Space Did Something Cool
youtube
So, not only are eclipses really cool, they also come up a lot in JttW adjacent Fandom, like LMK, for various reasons. One is because if Sun Wukong's non-cannonical children from the ancient fanfic that counts as literature, Journey to the South. They are Yuebei Xing (Lunar Apogee), Jidu (South/Descending Lunar Node), and Luohou (North/Ascending Lunar Node). I've known about these characters and these terms for a couple months, but I didn't quite grasp what things like the nodes were until I saw this. Red has a knack for explaining things, so I recommend giving this a watch if you're confused. Or if you aren't. Watch more of her content, is what I'm saying.

Sabemos que Wukong es un padre vergonzoso que ama mucho a sus hijos y esta demaciado orgulloso de sus muchachos y en lo que han logrado.
Wukong, very proud: "Ah! My sun, moon, and stars! My heavens! My Wuxings!" All the cubs are very embarassed
translated via google;
"We know that Wukong is a shameless father who loves his children very much and is very proud of his boys and what they have accomplished.
Wukong, very proud: "Ah! My sun, moon, and stars! My heavens! My Wuxings!" All the cubs are very embarrassed
There's a reason he usually calls his 5 Cubs Wuxings because his children are his world.
So when they meet MKgang in season 1 they usually talk about Sun Wukong and ''Dad'' separately, mainly to see if any of them realize that they are the king's sons (Mainly to be shitty with them… after all they are the monkey king's sons)
Yuebei: Baba is always embarrassing us… Looks away Jidu: The king likes to interact with the puppies
Now the three adults would be a little suspicious of this, they don't know what to look for exactly but they feel something suspicious about them, the first clue is that they never refer to Sun Wukong as ''Grandpa Sun'' which is how all the yao monkeys usually call him.
Another main one is Paramita's princely attitude, something unusual coming from a rural town outside of Megapolis (It's just Paramita's personality…)
Now Tang is a complete purist of the original work, he would never believe the existence of the monkey king's children, he would think that they are simple OCs.
I imagine that Jidu, Luohou or Luzhen would ask the scholar about these sequels by chance.
Tang: These sequels have so many inconsistencies!! They're not even written by the author! Since when did Wukong have children??! MK and the other monkeys: Yesssss when…??
Only to fall flat on his face when the truth is revealed… The princes will never let us forget.
One thing to remember is that records are not usually made by the same person and are not usually true to reality. The only thing that is certain about the files on the Monkey King's children in the sequels is that they really are the Monkey King's children! It's just that there is no mother as such (Let's not talk about the rumor that PIF and Wukong had something please…)"
--
Hehehe!!! More talk about the "Wuxing Au"!
Wukong is very proud of his cubs, and also very embarrassing!! He calls them every pet name under the sun - particularly "Wuxing" since he sees his five cubs as important as the five core elements of the universe.
MK already knows who the five monkeys' "baba" is, but he doesn't want to reveal their secret identities to the rest of the gang without their permission.
The siblings are convinced that it would be the twins or Luzhen who "break character" first - only for it to be cool-headed Paramita, furiously defending his baba's honour when Pigsy bad-mouths him during S2.
Though in the meantime they love tormenting Mr Tang with questions about the non-canonical sequel books to Jttw. >:3
Paramita is a bit too quick to agree with Mr Tang that the rumoured affair between Sun Wukong and Princess Iron Fan was; "Completely impossible." - but he covers up his anger by saying that he really doesn't like the ship (like he's speaking about a fanfiction). The eldest cub knows how his Baba made him on his own from clay. XD
And although the sequels weren't entirely accurate - different writers from different eras and locations putting together detail they'd heard - They do get the names of Wukong's five children correct!

Sketches of Shadowpeach family wearing Super Mario theme Halloween costumes. I have no idea if I'll ever properly finish this but I at least wanted to post the sketch. Yuebei got to be Rosalina while twins get to be the plumber bros. Luohou was fine being Luigi since they both start with L but Jidu demanded his hat get a J instead of a M.
Macaque and Wukong get to be Bowser and Peach. And yes Mac is singing Peaches. It makes the kids happy and embarrasses Wukong. Honestly Wukong doesn't mind dressing as Princess Peach, he actually likes is. He's more mortified by Mac breaking out into song in front of everyone.

LMKtober Day 5: King
Summary: The crew must descend into the plane of Chaos. Macaque and Wukong are separated- unfortunately, it seems in the past cycles, there was no friendship between Sun Wukong and the Six-Eared Macaque. Only the king, his children, and an enemy.
Maybe he should've listened more to the talk of cycles and stuff.
Macaque dodged a strike from the staff and descended into the shadows of this strange otherworld. He spread his ears and tried to calm his racing heart, his old hearing finally perking to life for the first time since the Lady Bone Demon had pulled him from the grave.
However, his hearing was dull. Muffled. He didn't try to listen to the future- he was too scared to. He couldn't hear Xiaotian or the others.
He could, however, hear the cackle of his pursuers.
"Come on out, you old cannibal!"
"Out! Come out!"
It was just the boys. Sun Wukong, or at least the version chasing him, and the girl were silent. That alone made his nerves ache. Wukong was never quiet in battle.
He pressed himself against the rock at the sound of footsteps against gravel or whatever the floor of this otherworld was made of. "Come on out..." one of the boys cooed. The mist briefly parted, revealing his black and crimson fur. He turned his head, revealing two golden eyes.
Jidu, then. Luohou had three, the extra one resembling Erlang Shen's to an odd degree.
Jidu stood there, long enough that Macaque's curiosity began to perk. What was he doing? He tested out his hearing- it was just him there. Where were the others?
Macaque couldn't wait.
He rose to his feet slowly, keeping his breathing even. He couldn't wait until one of the others met their brother or child- he needed to get far and find Xiaotian. Hopefully, he could calm-
Snap.
He winced and looked down.
A fucking branch met his eyes.
There was a delighted giggle from behind him. He turned as Jidu took in a deep breath.
"BABA! JIEJIE! I FOUND HIM!"
Something snapped and the mist pulled away, all except for a cloud. Macaque craned his head back and stared right into the empty, uncaring red eyes. Around Wukong were his lost children, Jidu burrowing into the side of Yuebei, but Macaque's eyes were locked on the tallest figure.
Oh, yeah. That's a king.

So, all the children that swk has are 100% yaoguai monkeys, or are some of them human? I think King Paramiya and Yuebei Xing have human appearance? I mean the ancient writings, not books or adaptation of JTTW.
It’s hard to say as we don’t get a lot of information about them.
Paramita is easier to at least know what he could look like (however please keep in mind that this is a dream and that Paramita technically wouldn't have to follow any set rules due to being in a fantasy) as we know that his mother is Princess Iron Fan. He was not conceived in the traditional sense however as he was born when Wukong accidentally got Princess Iron Fan preggers when he jumped in her tummy. Funny enough he did this to like four other demons as well so... perhaps we know where Paramita's four unnamed brothers came from. Joking of course, it is said that Paramita's four other brothers are also Princess Iron Fans BUT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY.
The only description I can find in the book about Paramits is that he is "dashing" and this might cause he takes more after Princess Iron Fan. Sadly, looking like a monkey-yao was not considered "dashing" and therefore I think decreases his chances of being as such. Paramita would be half monkey yao and half Rākṣasī if he was real. There is few other pure yao children in mythos, the only one we really can compare him to is Red Boy (who doesn't exist in this fantasy dream) as he has a very human-looking appearance as well. I talked a bit about this, but it could be that since Wukong and Iron Fan are already very cultivated that their children would take on a human-like appearance to show this. In any case, Paramita wouldn't have any reason to look human since neither his parents are human, but still, he has powerful parents who have cultivated to a human form he would be able to have a human form as well.
Of course, there is a part in the Supplement JTTW where Wukong meets another version of himself but as an old man. Wukong is still a monkey but he sees another version of himself as well but as an old man that is his "true spirit" in Chapter 10. This is strange cause Wukong in his dream was he was called "only having a monkey face" but he wasn't Sun Wukong because he wasn't a Monkey Yaoguai. This could be saying that Wukong in his dream transcend his own monkey body and form and rather moving into a full human form. This would increase the chances of King Paramita's hypothetic form being seen as all-human if this was the case as well.
On the left is the White Ape Perfected Man that I think Wukong's "true spirit" would look like in Supplement. On the right is King Paramita from a modern Comic Strip published in 2021 as there is little to no other modern interpretations of King Paramita.
Yuebei Xing and her brother are a tad different and harder to pinpoint due to their mother being unknown. Certainly, they are half-monkey-yaoguai but as for mothers, it could range from another monkey yao to a mortal to an immortal to even Wukong using the baby river himself. Hard to say but there are possibilities.
If Yuebei Xing's mother was human than the chances of her and her siblings looking human increase greatly. However, if they are a yao then they COULD look human with some cultivation but that doesn't mean they would be born looking human guarantee. This is also a story that would be based more on the Xiyouji Zaju play Wukong where he kidnaps his human-wife in the introduction and doesn't reach Buddhahood by the end of the play so it would be within reason to believe that Wukong got another human-leaning wife whether that be mortal or immortal.
But unlike Paramita, Yuebei Xing DOES have a description!
She is described as more outlandish in form and even called ugly, however, this could be that she simply takes more after her father's face as he was called ugly as well.... or maybe she is only ugly by monkey standards, it is hard to say. Despite this description, however, it does not say that she looks like a monkey or a human as while a detailed list of what she has, doesn't lean towards human or monkey either way.
I'm taking from @journeytothewestresearch page about his articles for Yuebei Xing but she is noted to have two forms from Secret Practice of the Primordial Lord Yuebei 元皇月孛祕法. So this is not from the same author as JTTS but can still provide some idea of what her past interpretations could have looked like.
"In the form of a celestial human, their hair is let down over their naked body. Their mass of black hair covers the navel. Red sandals. Their left hand holds the head of a drought demon. Their right hand holds a blade. They ride a jade dragon. In their modified form, [they display] a blue face with long fangs, a crimson garment and blade, while driving a bear." (Kotyk, 2017, p. 62).
It could be that in JTTS was learning more to her modified form as she is given more extravagant details to her description.
The left image is of Yuebei Xing in her celestial form with her sword in hand. On the right is where she is drawn as a man but still holding her sword and severed head.
However, these are descriptions based on Yuebei Xing outside of JTTS and therefore would not be considered to have any monkey relations to her. If that is the case then that could be as to why the author of JTTS didn't describe her celestial form or her modified form as he was creating a new original look for her NOW that she is half-monkey. It wouldn't be fair to say that she is one or the either considering that now her origins have not only changed but also are unknown who or what her other parent is either.
So overall I can't say that they can be 100% monkeys as King Paramita is half rākṣasī and Yuebei Xing (and possibly her brothers) are most likely not from a monkey-yao mother. But while Paramita wouldn't look monkey himself there could be hope for Yuebei Xing and her brothers since their origin has not only changed from her previous depictions but also that her mother is left to interpretations. So while the chances of her being 100% are low they are not impossible at the very least.
Take it as you will!
