The Summer of Anime IV begins June 1st! Register Today!

That’s right o mighty fans of the anime arts, the Summer of Anime IV is officially open for registration!

This year myself, the Arbiter and the Deity of Anime are proud to present a stunning cavalcade of anime to delight you during the summer months ahead. But how do you join you ask? Why its very simple. All you need do is shoot us a quick e-mail with the following information:

The name you wish to be identified as in the contest

An anime character to use as your avatar during the contest (feel free to provide the picture or let us choose for you)

Your favorite anime/animes

A reason for entering

A short bio (be as creative/silly/serious as you like. If you don’t feel up to it, we’ll write one for you!)

And that’s it! Once we have all this, your profile will join the annals of anime history and we’ll begin the Summer of Anime together! Just give a quick read to the rules, peruse the anime list and get ready to anime on June 1st.

Day 38 - Coffee (cont.)

Still working on the same animation, I cleaned it up a little but I still have to in between it and add some things. I have been working a lot so finishing this is taking longer then I thought it would. Tomorrows animation will be something else.

Day 36 - Coffee

Still working on the same animation. What I have to do next is to clean it up, inbetween it and add a little color.

Going to finish this over the weekend. So far I have the general idea planned out.

Day 34 - Walk cycle (3d) 

The start of a whole walk cycle, I’m using the Franklin rig  (you can get it free online). I didn’t have much time tonight but I did start the legs. I will finish the rest of the body later.

Day 29 - Ninjasack (rework and refining)

Did some more work on the ninjasack, changed the background and animated the foot. 

Have been busy working recently so haven’t been able to put a lot out but hopefully I can start doing one every day soon.

Day 25 - Ninjasack

Had fun with this one, like how the rough came out, feel like I might need to clarify the drawings a little bit, and maybe add some music.

Day 23 - Fourth of July

Wanted to do something for Fourth of July. Iv’e only spent one day on it so far and I think its coming along nicely. I did the fireworks in Maya, the characters in Toonboom and everything else in premier and After Effects. 

Its pretty rough still, Im planing on finishing later.

Day 21 - Ballet jump (refining)

Fine tuning the ballet jump I did earlier in the summer. For some reason the playblast comes out is slower then it is in Maya so it looks like she is floating more then I would want.

Day 20 - Headturn

Simple head turn, had a lot of fun with this one.

Think I might refine it later by adding the upperbody and some color.

Day 19 - Walk cycle cleanup cont.

Another day where Im working on cleaning up the walk cycle (still not done). I do think that the walk cycle was a little bit more smooth before. However I need to get better at cleaning up my animation without losing the freshness that I had in the rough.

Day17 - Logo 

This is a rough idea of a animated logo i want to do for this website. 

Think Im going to  animate the mouse in ToonBoom, but everything else in Aftereffects.
