A group of Long Island students found human remains while walking to school on Thursday morning and now police are trying to pinpoint who they belong to and how they got there.
The students were walking around 8:40 a.m. Thursday in Southards Pond Park in Babylon Village when they made the discovery, said police in a news release.
One of the students noticed an arm on the side of the road at 8:40 a.m., police said. The student called her father, who came to the scene and called the police
Once police arrived, they began sectioning off the crime scene. The initial remains were found on the east side of the park. Later, police began searching the west side and had dogs going through the area, Det. Kevin Beyrer of the Suffolk County Police Department’s homicide squad at a press conference on Thursday.
“On the west side of Southards Pond Park where we are now, a K9 cadaver dog and his handler found another set of remains,” he said. “Those are under pretty heavy leaves and branches. We are clearing that now. We know we have at least a leg under those leaves and branches.”
Right arm, left arm, leg discovered
In total, police and cadaver dogs have found a right arm, a left arm and a leg, Beyrer said Thursday.
Authorities said in a news release that the remains likely belong to a male.
“The right arm was found about 20 feet further into the woods from … the left arm, almost in a direct line,” he said. “No identification has been made.”
A spokesperson for Babylon School District told USA TODAY Friday morning that Superintendent of Schools Carisa Manza emailed parents to let them know recess would be held indoors.
Manza said mental health staff would be available on site, as well as a security team.
Police ask that anyone with information contact the homicide squad at (631) 852-6392 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Major Boost in UK Bathing Water Sites
Government New Bathing Site Plans
In a significant stride towards improving the UK's water quality, the government has unveiled plans to consult on the establishment of dozens of new bathing water sites across England. This initiative marks the largest ever rollout of its kind, further underlining the government's commitment to enhancing the cleanliness and safety of the nation's aquatic environments. A Nationwide Consultation At the core of this initiative lies a two-week public consultation, actively fostering the voices of residents, bathers, businesses, and organizations to shape the future of England's bathing waters. Moreover, Water Minister Robbie Moore emphasizes the social, health, and wellbeing benefits that clean and accessible water bodies bring to communities, urging stakeholders to actively contribute to the consultation process. The Criteria for New Sites The selection of new bathing water sites is a meticulous process, prioritizing locations with significant bathing activity and the necessary infrastructure, such as public toilets. The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) ensures that only sites meeting these stringent criteria progress to public consultation, ensuring that the new designations will serve the needs and safety of the public effectively. The sites being considered for designation are: Location County/Area Church Cliff Beach Lyme Regis, Dorset Coastguards Beach River Erme, Devon Coniston Boating Centre Coniston Water, Cumbria Coniston Brown Howe Coniston Water, Cumbria Littlehaven Beach Tyne and Wear Manningtree Beach Essex Monk Coniston Coniston Water, Cumbria River Avon at Fordingbridge Hampshire River Cam at Sheep’s Green Cambridge, Cambridgeshire River Dart Estuary at Dittisham Devon River Dart Estuary at Steamer Quay Totnes, Devon River Dart Estuary at Stoke Gabriel Devon River Dart Estuary at Warfleet Dartmouth, Devon River Frome at Farleigh Hungerford Somerset River Nidd at the Lido Leisure Park Knaresborough, North Yorkshire River Ribble at Edisford Bridge Lancashire River Severn at Ironbridge Shropshire River Severn at Shrewsbury Shropshire River Stour at Sudbury Suffolk River Teme at Ludlow Shropshire River Tone in French Weir Park Taunton, Somerset Wallingford Beach River Thames, Berkshire Derwent Water, Crow Park Keswick, Cumbria River Wharfe at Wetherby Riverside West Yorkshire Goring Beach Worthing, West Sussex Worthing Beach House Worthing, West Sussex Rottingdean Beach Rottingdean, East Sussex Improvements and Accountability The initiative builds on recent advancements in water management and pollution control. Among these improvements are enhanced regulatory capacities, comprehensive monitoring of storm overflows, and significant investments in water infrastructure. These measures not only aim to reduce pollution but also to hold water companies accountable for environmental breaches, with the introduction of stricter penalties and a ban on executive bonuses for non-compliance. Engagement and Action The consultation period presents a unique opportunity for the public to influence the selection and management of new bathing water sites. The stakeholders have until March 10 to share their insights actively, ensuring that the expansion of designated bathing areas aligns with community needs and environmental sustainability goals.
In Conclusion
The government's plan to roll out new bathing water sites is a testament to its dedication to environmental excellence and public health. By fostering community involvement and implementing rigorous quality standards, this initiative promises to not only enhance the UK's natural landscapes but also to strengthen the nation's commitment to a sustainable and healthy future. Dr. Frank Parasmo Sentenced for Unlawful Distribution
Dr. Frank Parasmo was, a Leading Prescriber of Oxycodone in New York State - sentenced for unlawfully distributing oxycodone. (STL.News) Yesterday, in federal court in Central Islip, Frank Parasmo, a former medical doctor, was sentenced by United States District Judge Joan M. Azrack to 36 months in prison for his conviction on 32 counts of unlawfully distributing oxycodone, a highly addictive prescription painkiller, to 18 patients without a legitimate medical purpose. As part of the sentence, Parasmo also received 3 years of supervised release. Breon Peace, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and Frank A. Tarentino III, Special Agent-in-Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration, New York Division (DEA), announced the verdict. “Today’s sentence demonstrates that there are significant consequences for doctors who act as drug dealers,” stated U.S. Attorney Peace. “This Office remains committed to using all tools available to address the damage the opioid crisis does to our communities.” “DEA’s investigative and regulatory focus is to keep the public safe and healthy,” stated DEA Special Agent-in-Charge Tarentino. “Parasmo’s actions were irresponsible to his patients and endangered their and others’ safety and well-being; his disregard of pertinent information such illicit drug use and the diversion of highly addictive opioid prescriptions was egregious. I commend the DEA’s Long Island District Office-Tactical Diversion Squad and the Eastern District of New York U.S. Attorney’s Office for their tenacious work on this investigation.” As proven at trial, between January 2014 and February 2015, Parasmo provided prescriptions for oxycodone and hydrocodone pills to 18 of his patients without a legitimate medical purpose and outside the course of a professional medical practice. Parasmo issued prescriptions to patients who had just left detox treatment in rehabilitation facilities, as well as patients who had just been discharged from a hospital following an overdose. In addition, Parasmo issued prescriptions to many patients he knew were taking illegal drugs or who he suspected were addicts. There is a significant risk of an overdose when oxycodone is taken with heroin and cocaine. In several instances, Parasmo continued to write prescriptions for individuals who he had been warned were not taking their pills as prescribed and, in some instances, possibly reselling them on the streets. From 2010 to 2015, Dr. Parasmo prescribed over 1.5 million oxycodone and hydrocodone pills, making him one of the top prescribers of those painkillers in New York State during that period. Notably, after learning that the DEA was investigating his prescribing practices, Parasmo cut in half the number of oxycodone prescriptions he issued annually. This case was investigated by the DEA’s Long Island District Office Tactical Diversion Squad, comprising agents and officers of the DEA, Nassau County Police Department, Suffolk County Police Department, Port Washington Police Department, and Department of Health and Human Services-Office of Inspector General. The government’s case is being handled by the Office’s Long Island Criminal Division. Assistant United States Attorneys Michael Maffei and Charles P. Kelly are in charge of the prosecution. Journal Entry #69 - End of Year Nine (9) out of Ten (10) in Massachusetts
JOURNAL ENTRY #69 Name: Manley M Collins Social Security Number: 5 7 9 – * * – 6 5 4 1 Date of Birth: 06/21 Place of Birth: Washington, District of Columbia Country of Birth: United States of America Date: December 30, 2021
TOPIC: End of Year Nine (9) out of Ten (10) in Massachusetts
A Mental Health Moment regarding Schizophrenia and Mental health conditions
With the New York June 21, 2022 incident, I did not know what was happening. From May 2022 to June 2022, I still planned my trip to New York, but while in Boston, Massachusetts Department of Corrections van kept crossing my path everywhere I was going. I was trying to do the USATF volunteer background check, I was prevented from going through the process. New York situation happened and my best advice for grown men and women is to stay the f*ck away. Suffolk County sheriff van starting to do the same thing especially after speaking the MGH or BMC physicians. In reflection on all the law enforcement reports and court cases I filed, every last one has been closed, and very little to no investigation, and the Judges let the folks go and try to state the situations never happened. Massachusetts has this "do not listen, do not care," attitude. It was a little bit overwhelming seeing the violators of the Ten Commandments, the authorities look on, and everything done in a central location and freely able to do what they want.
After New York situation, I do not support or condemn the role of those who are on Earth to purposely violate the Ten Commandments. I do not support or condemn the role of those who I was raised to understand they were classified as good or right to enforce the laws of the land. I am in no position to judge people habits and choices, but I am going to be the defender of 'ME' physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally. I am the boss of 'ME'. After the Warning Talk as a grown adult male and grown adult female, you choose to still violate 'ME' and create problems for 'ME', then initially I have every right to grab anything I want on you, such as breast, dick, pussy, butt, and chest. I no longer care if you have a wife, children, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, pet, etc. As my previous posts, emails, and communications that went out directly to the offenders, do not let me grab, then I will beat, punish and pummel you for not listening to your parents/guardians, your teachers/coaches/administrators, the law, and your friends that told you, "do not touch anyone you do not know." Any bystanders want to stop the punishment, get punished too.
Pine Street Inn, St. Francis House, and Southampton had street drugs being dealt, cigarettes being dealt, medications being dealt, drunks that had to down the alcohol before coming into the shelter, collectors of junk, trash diggers, no personal hygiene, fights, physical health problems without appropriate healthcare, sexual offenders, mental health people, illegal immigrants or migrants, thieves, killers, murderers, adulterers, barter and trade anything, got a vehicle and asking for money on the street, anything you can name that was not in the rule book or in the rule book was happening. Yes, when Massachusetts community angered me, I reported to federal government, state government, local government, congress, and all the level of authorities, but I was the one that got done when I thought telling was going to get the help people needed.
Now I purposely understand how grown adults work, I will remain to myself, minding my business, let others go through their own misfortunes, and never expect anyone to think or be like me. I am an independent thinker and decision maker as the boss of 'ME'. Yes, I did not know, but now I see, read, and know about grown adults in real life experience. Just do not do me after New York situation or try to validate true life of a criminal or criminology or anything other new/old fields of the legal/law of the United States of America.
Yes, after all the stuff I bought with my money and the stuff I have now is called 'junk', useful for its purpose and simply discarded.
I was learning the Upwork app and how to get projects.
I mailed off my Social Security Insurance application to Massachusetts General Hospital to file on my behalf. I had my interviews. I had more paperwork and verification I had to complete.
Citibank sent me a letter stating the accounts were going to be inactive so I made some USPS money order deposits.
I researched the supply needed as Group Fitness instructor while going through the NASM course. I passed my NASM AFAA Group Fitness Instructor exam on the second try. I learned about virtual coaching.
Therapy and Psychiatrist with Arbour Counseling Services topics were (Previous Journal topics - I just was repeating them to new people verbally)
Power of Habit thought process - Cue > Routine > Reward Success in a new position - Harvard Business Review article Bias in customer service - Harvard Business Review article Loss of Federal Express job Court case in Chicago - Learning Chicago's process Saw Los Angeles Lakers leave Four Seasons hotel in Boston
Dreams are very normal and playful. It is very good since the 1990s. Happy feeling or emotion. It started happening in 2020s in South Carolina, but since I threw everything back to the universe, emotions and feelings seem to return back to the days of Atlanta, Georgia in the 1990s except there is no schizophrenia, depression, or bipolar disorder. PTSD is still high.
Had a dream after telling someone (a physical conversation) in Zumba class about family fights. Sunday night/Monday morning. I am fighting with my own family from Washington, DC yelling get out of my house.
Dreams are sequencing up to some fantasy until 3:00 am or 4:00 am when going to urinate in the bathroom, then I go back or try to sleep - the same dream turns into a nightmare - not a true, scary nightmare - just horrible anger.
I am physically losing locks and small items to make me spend money.
Learned a famous alumnus from South Carolina State University named Lewis Berry passed away five (5) years ago. One of my favorite Cross Elementary School teachers Martha Dupree passed away on Monday.
Talking about the librarians. Elise try to state something South Carolina sent me a year ago regarding stealing my identity. She doesn't know in my world that after April 3, 2016 that angry context goes back to her.
New York University either is playing with my intelligence or just money hungry.
While doing another trim down of connection in FaceBook, another death is Orlando Brown, football player from South Carolina State and Baltimore Ravens.
When I was a process server serving documents to MassPort (Massachusetts Bay Port Authority) and the individuals at Federal Express Logan Airport job location, I took photos and submitted it to court using ProofServe templates.
Other Topics from Fall and Winter of 2021:
I had to consult with a Boston Bar Association attorney for counseling on how to proceed with my Massachusetts civil suits, and proceeding properly with Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination with Federal Express and Boston Public Health Commission.
I also fought with Federal Express Human Resources regarding wrongful termination so it was a total of three (3) fights with one organization, but I let fighting to come back to Federal Express go.
Grubhub kept coming to mind to bring back as an employer. It was tough to update all my information and bring the online.
I joined Chowbus and they kept sending me on very long trip from Chinatown.
I researched Harvard University Extension School French courses.
I maxed out my Apple storage as I kept playing with the Free and going to a paid service to backup my Apple iPhone. I did ask if Apple had anyway to restore other Apple devices from other machines. Apple stated no and if it is not saved in the cloud, there is no way to recover it.
I donated to Boston Public Library based on utilizing their resources, and donated to St. Francis House and Massachusetts General Hospital.
I am grateful for all the attorneys and judges, who did attempt to educate me the other way through the responses and consulting. As I have come to terms, I did not go to school or obtain the debt to enter that field of work. The efiling judicial systems was very helpful and efficient, even though I showed up to United States District Court of Eastern Massachusetts almost every one (1) or two (2) weeks filing something.
I opened my electronic accounts with Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
I saw The Matrix Resurrections at AMC Theatres.
I got my COVID-19 third vaccination from McInnis Health Clinic (Boston HealthCare for the Homeless Program).
The emails discontinued from Pastor Tom Johnson, St. Luke Lutheran Church, but I just checked an old email. He is still posting the sermons and messages. I am in tune with Pastor Joel and Victoria Osteen Ministries after disconnecting and removing membership from First Baptist Church of the City of Washington.
I purchased a protein bar from the Vengo new type of gym canteen.
United States Postal Service and Federal Express was getting plenty of delivery, package, and mail traffic.
I registered for Microsoft Ignite to learn what was happening with Microsoft technologies.
I retrieved District of Columbia Certificate of Good Standing for my small business, when Catalant needed it for my profile.
Bank of America Advisory Panel still trying to inquire where all the money is stored to make its product and services better, or take advantage of BOA services.
I had to synchronize Boston Housing Authority Leased Department and Public Housing, when they were requesting the same documents.
Gilbert Indoor Range reminders let me know I need to obtain my Massachusetts plus Multi State Concealed Carry or Open Carry Gun license.
After all this, Happy Diwali, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year.

Reasons why the City of Boston's should not implement COVID Passports
Implementing COVID vaccine passports could provide a healthier environment for the citizens of city of Boston, however, the city should continue not mandating vaccines to enter establishments as it:
1) disproportionate effects small business owners,
2) adds pressure to the already constrained budget,
3) and exposes the city to additional cyber security risks.
In addition, it’s critical for the mayoral election to ensure we continue to maintain our stance on not implementing additional strains to our already burden community. As of February 2021, Suffolk County which includes the city of Boston, has 46%[1] of their voter’s undecided (unenrolled), while other cities, like New York, who have implemented these mandates had a higher percentage of democrats who tend to me more favorable to these mandates. Voters who most likely will not be at the polls will be people of color, whom, have a varied relationship with the health care system and make up a high percentage of unvaccinated individuals. It is critical we ensure we continue to protect our mission of equality and protect the community’s overall health.
[1] https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/enrollment_count_20210201.pdf
1) The cost of creating an effective Covid passport for the city of Boston is too high with the additional demands on the city’s $3.6B budget. For the remainder of 2021 the city expects to increase its public health budget by $13M[1] and to $150M for 2022[2]. The costs of creating this app would be comparable to the New York City costs, which is currently at $17M over the next 3 years[3] and has a monthly licensing cost of ~$200K (for 2M people). Governor Cuomo of New York had the ability to expediate the approval of the passport when mayors were granted more authority to act against covid during the midst of the pandemic avoiding stringent government procurement procedures. Since then, the mayors’ powers have been scaled back and it would be more difficult for a mayor, like yourself, without those powers to have the ability to implement those mandates.

2) Cyber security risks for the city are high. Proper implementation of the platform with the security needed to maintain an equitable and safe society are too high and unknown. It has been noted in NYC that the privacy protections in the app they are building, Excelsior Pass, remain unclear, including how blockchain technology will play a role. To further brainstorm which types of security risk we will be exposed to as the city of Boston I conducted an analysis of the security cards, which provide an overview of the types of motivations and resources someone trying to gain unauthorized access to data in the system or computer.
3) Increases inequality for marginalized communities. The purpose of the mandate is to increases the number of citizens vaccinated. According to google statistics, ~70% of the city has been vaccinated and ~80% have their first dose, higher than New York City which is at 66% and 73% respectively. When looking at the racial breakdown of the most recent vaccination records, we can note that the largest percentage of population not vaccinated are Native American (36.6%), Black (53.1%), and Latinx (54%)[1]. Thus, when we think who works in these services and visits the restaurants which we plan to add mandates to we would disproportionality be affecting these communities. It is critical to note that individuals with the ability to access a COVID passport are required to own a smart phone, access to internet, and be tech savvy, this mandate will exclude individuals in poverty and the elderly. All these concerns go against the rollout of our equitable COVID support initiative.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have seen an increase in the number of vaccinations for these marginalized communities. The increase vaccinations can be attributed to a shift in a community centric approach making the vaccine available in places this community visit with workers they can trust. Sending vans with vaccine to visit the communities has also been successful as it makes it more approachable. Overall, the continuous investment in marketing targeted to this community will be more advantageous than spending millions on creating an app which we will probably exclude a portion of the population.
Focus on the unknown data security, strained budget allocation, and continuous equity.
To drive our point forward it will be critical for us to communicate with the communities the cities focus on health and welfare for our citizens. The purpose of a vaccine passport would be to increase vaccination; however, we still don’t know if that will help increase the vaccination rate and we won’t know until NYC launches their application. Mandating COVID passports will not bring in those individuals who are not vaccinated – some are already upset about the government imposing mandates another one which the government cannot properly enforce and secure would be more detrimental to the city. A community centric approach and making the vaccine more approachable to these communities will increase the vaccination.
As mentioned above ~70% of the City of Boston’s population is fully vaccinated. With employers and schools adding mandates it will help increase the percentage of population vaccinated. I don’t think we will reach a 100% vaccination rate, however, by continuing to impose regulation on those who do not want to be regulated will create additional burden and costs on the city.
To continue to drive your mission forward and potentially win the upcoming mayoral election, it will be critical to maintain your stance. The funds which would have gone to create this app could go to creating more equitable COVID relief to small businesses and communities of color.

County Closes Beaches Over Bacteria Levels
The Suffolk County Department of Health Services issued an advisory Sunday against bathing at 63 beaches. The advisory is based on the potential that the levels of bacteria at these beaches exceed New York State standards. The beaches covered by the advisory are in areas heavily influenced by stormwater runoff from the surrounding watersheds or adjacent tributaries, and because of their location…

A father has described his rage and sense of powerlessness when staff at an NHS mental health unit made false accusations against him.
Richard faced a string of allegations including sexual abuse, sexual harassment and domestic violence.
He was accused of "secret trysts" with his daughter and inappropriately touching her.
Official paperwork, passed between agencies, also identified him as a risk to his wife along with an accusation of making a pass at a male member of staff at the St Aubyn Centre in Colchester.
He was exonerated and eventually provided with an apology and compensation.
A report by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman criticised the unit along with two other organisations.
Richard says "the whole thing was a joke, but these people were really serious".
The centre, which is run by the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT), has recently resumed admitting new patients after they were suspended by the Care Quality Commission when inspectors found young people there had come to harm.
The events which engulfed Richard and his family took place in 2016.
Sophie, his eldest daughter, was admitted to the St Aubyn Centre in February 2015, aged 14, after stays in a number of other units.
She had a severe form of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), an eating disorder and had been diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression.
She was then sectioned under the Mental Health Act, after she developed what were termed distressing ritualistic behaviours.
"[She] was extremely, extremely ill, crying and screaming a lot," said her father.
'Malice - without any doubt'
On one day in January 2016 she had been repeatedly tube-fed by staff at the centre while pinned down on her back, despite her vomiting almost continuously.
The family were subsequently notified by the local environmental health team that she had a salmonella infection.
That evening she was admitted to Colchester General Hospital.
A few weeks later during her stay there, Sophie said she was physically assaulted by a carer from the St Aubyn Centre after a confrontation over moving a water jug, which was related to her OCD.
Shortly after the family complained, allegations against the father were made by a senior member of staff at the centre, in the form of a safeguarding referral.
According to Richard "there was malice - without any doubt".
'Runaway train'
The referral was to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub - a group of professionals from designated organisations who gather and act on child protection information..
"It was like a runaway train, it was just gathering momentum," is how Richard's wife, Cathy, described it.
The form, seen by the BBC, contained an allegation that Richard had made "a sexual pass towards a male member of staff".
The document also recorded that staff at the St Aubyn Centre witnessed Richard inappropriately touching his daughter and that the family may have been "sabotaging treatment plans".
Eight different boxes were ticked indicating a range of harms including sexual abuse, a concealed pregnancy and domestic violence.
It also requested an investigation into "potential abuse" by Richard and "potentially mum" on Sophie's younger sister Jane.
The Ombudsman's report detailed how Colchester General had previously undertaken a pregnancy test on Jane, without her consent and despite her being just 14 at the time, after she developed abdominal problems.
The family believed this was due to the previous insinuations of sexual contact between father and daughter, based on hospital staff misinterpreting their closeness.
This information ended up in her notes and the safeguarding form.
'Sick in the car'
The parents were summoned to a child protection conference organised by Suffolk County Council's Children and Young People department.
Richard was advised to leave the family home by the county council, which he did.
"I can remember going to that meeting and literally being sick in the car," said Richard.
They were provided with reports from the social worker, the police and the hospital just 15 minutes beforehand, contravening the council's own policies.
But at the conference the St Aubyn side "changed its mind and presented a completely different view" according to the Ombudsman's findings.
The police could find no evidence of domestic violence or that the parents had interfered with their daughter's health plan.
It was also pointed out that the parents could not have been guilty of neglect because their daughter had been in the care of the mental health trust and the hospital.
A parenting assessment carried out by a social worker and presented to the meeting concluded there was "no evidence [Richard] had behaved inappropriately within a sexual context" with his daughter.
He was told he could return home.
The investigation by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman criticised the mental health trust, Colchester General Hospital and Suffolk County Council, finding "fault with injustice" with all three organisations.
All three accepted the Ombudsman's findings and paid several thousand pounds in compensation to the family.
The family's experiences were among a litany of failures by EPUT and its predecessor organisations.
In June, the trust was fined £1.5m for safety failings in relation to the deaths of 11 patients between 2004 and 2015.
Then in September 2021, the two wards at the St Aubyn Centre and another adolescent unit operated by the trust were stopped from admitting new patients after inspectors found "serious concerns".
They have since reopened for new admissions.
NHS mental health services in Essex, including EPUT, are now at the centre of an inquiry into deaths of inpatients under their care over a 20-year period.
Paul Scott, chief executive of EPUT, said: "We fully accepted the findings of the Ombudsman's report following its publication, and would like to offer our apologies again to the family involved.
"A number of actions have been taken to improve our safeguarding processes, including the development of clear referral pathways, the introduction of dedicated safeguarding professionals within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and increased safeguarding supervision and training for staff."
Both Suffolk County Council and the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Colchester General Hospital, also apologised to the family following the Ombudsman's report but told the BBC they did not wish to comment further.
'Destructive and wasteful'
Sophie is now back at home after obtaining what the family described as much more definitive treatment elsewhere.
She said: "Some of the things these professionals said, what my family was doing to me, which were completely untrue, makes me feel physically sick."
"I think we are evidence of 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'," said Cathy.
Her husband is still angry: "If you want to know what this did, it taught me hate, that's what it did.
"I hate them. I hate all of the institutions that we were involved with in that period.
"And that is a destructive and wasteful emotion."

Twenty years ago the worst terrorist attack on American soil happened. I lived in NY during the events and was a fireman. Our department was in Suffolk County Long Island. Ours and all other Long Island departments were activated and ready to respond. With more than 50 departments throughout Long Island there were thousands of volunteer firefighters, EMS and Fire Police ready to sacrifice everything to help people they never knew without a thought against it. Our department sent a fire engine to a Queens County department to fill in for a engine they sent to the World Trade Center. We all should remember those killed in the Towers, Pentagon, Flight 93, Fire and EMS, Police and all those who died later as a result of going into the rubble of the Towers. The site of the Towers produced toxic fumes and ash that were breathed in causing respiratory infections, cancer and other health issues that killed and disabled a multitude of First Responders years later.
