One of the most interesting parts of the exhibition featuring costumes from Pride and Prejudice (1995) was the chance to see tiny details that were included not even necessarily for the benefit of the audience at home (as they're too small to be properly seen or worn for such a short amount of time you wouldn't notice) but because the people who made the adaptation truly cared about those details.

The absolute highlight for me was this lovely detail on the fob of Mr Darcy's pocket watch on his wedding outfit... (fair warning that this might make you melt):

Can you see that little silver charm? It's the shape of a heart!

Quote from the information card next to it:

Mr Darcy's outfit is very fine, but restrained and tasteful in style, just like him. On his fob, attached to his waist, is a filigree heart. Perhaps his only nod towards whimsy.

I think this is almost too lovely for words. I love it SO much. It's a beautiful detail and I think it's perfect for his character. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it... it's ridiculously sweet.

There’s also Homewrecker!Jinwoo actually, though not in the way you think 😏

It’s about reader who’s married and has a four year old daughter, but both of them are being abused by her husband.

One night, when her daughter got sick, she took her to the hospital to make sure she was okay. Coincidentally, that was the same night Jinwoo visited the hospital to give the Elixir of Life to Jinho’s dad.

Jinwoo, reader, and her little girl stepped into the elevator together. But then, the lights flickered and suddenly everything went dark. They were trapped inside the elevator.

The little girl started crying, scared of the dark. Let's say her father (reader’s husband) used to lock her in the bathroom whenever she misbehaved. She kept sobbing, “Mama, please! I’m scared! I was good, Mama, I didn’t do anything wrong!” Reader tried to calm her down (she was close to crying herself from watching her little girl broke down like that), but her daughter wouldn’t listen. She was too scared.

Then, Jinwoo suddenly did something with his magic (maybe he created a little orb of light with his mana) and crouched down to show it to her. He smiled, so gently, and asked, “Hey, you wanna hear a funny story?”

The girl sniffled and nodded.

“I have a friend who used to be a giant ant. Really scary. Sharp claws. Big wings. Thought he was the king of the world.”

The little girl looked at him, eyes still watery, but now curious. "Giant ant..?"

“Mm-hmm. But now he wears a tiny cape and thinks he’s a stage actor.”

Then Beru appeared—floating in the air, small enough to fit in Jinwoo’s palm—and dramatically declared: “Verily, ’tis I! Destined from the womb to smite all foes, conquer dungeons, and rule o’er all creation! And yet—oh, cruel twist!—I now spend mine hours painting yon royal sister’s fingernails! What devilry is this? From dark lord to dainty manicurist—fie, what a fall!”

The little girl giggled. “He talks funny.”

Jinwoo rolled his eyes. “He thinks he’s in a drama. But honestly, I think he just likes attention.”

The girl stepped closer, wide-eyed. “Is he your friend?”

“One of the best ones I’ve got.” He held out his fist. “Wanna bump?”

She did, bumping her small knuckles against his and Jinwoo smiled, gently patting her head. “And now you’re one of my best friends too.”

The girl smiled—like genuinely smiled—and reader wanted to cry because it had been months since she’d seen her little girl smile like that.

(no cuz seriously. how are you gonna have them interact and then forget that hiroko canonically has a bit of a thing for takaaki?) (i say this like the dr:s writers even knew who the other captives were)

Marius was charmed. I mean, think about it. He was a good kid, followed his tenets to a T, he knew better. He knew he knew better. And in the flashback, Marius even points out that he doesn’t know WHY he joined the Duchess in her bed, everything considered.

And the Duchess is a devil. Assumedly a succubus (or related to them in some way), meaning she almost certainly had the Charm spell. All she would have to do is lace magic within her words, asking him to join her in her bed, and, well…Marius isn’t the wisest person in the world. Especially back then, since I imagine this would be his first time encountering a Devil.

This would also explain everything that came after. The guilt. The disgust with himself. Desperately trying to get back into Lathander’s good graces. He was Charmed. He was coerced into her bed, and now he pays the eternal price for it.

Some people at my shul are studying lashon hara so it's very funny to hear them talk and stop themselves by saying, "that's lashon hara 😦" and they'll literally just stop talking 😭😭😭

OCs or just really obscure characters having specific symbols, patterns, animals, weapons, colors, etc. is great because you can just find random generic stuff that's the right combo of things and go "oh fuuuck [character] merch"

Ok, so if the robots and Missbelindachandras had lived in harmony until Alan showed up, and there was never any evil Ai and only ever an evil AL... why did he need saving? What from? Cause he did ask for help.

Like, that guy had already been a dick and a sociopath who jumped at the chance to play soldiers using real people before he was ever hooked into that machine, but part of him - one part out of nine - clearly wanted to stop. He got the robots to fetch his "Queen" so she could help him out of the hole he dug himself into (or else to make her just like himself and subsume her mind so she could never leave him again oh the parallels to my OTP), but it's not as if he needed her help to end himself. The robots were under his command, and the rebels would have happily killed him, if he let them. That is, if Al/Alan hadn't been in literal two minds about what he wanted.

I think the Doctor got it wrong when he said that Alan could only be truthful in every ninth word. The other words were also true wrt to what Alan wanted, they still came from him, just from a different facet of his personality. People are complicated.
