Picture this scenario with Autocat
Which finds him in an especially tacky-looking "biker bar" in, say, Sturgis during the biker rally there, trying to drown his sorrows at not having managed to catch Motormouse (yet again) ... only to be approached by some gal Of Questionable Repute, hoping to give the ever-frustrated Autocat "a good time" of the highest order ...
I assume you can imagine the rest.

Spiritual awakening is a term given to describe a subjective experience in which an individual's ego transcends their ordinary, finite sense of self to encompass a wider, infinite sense of truth or reality.
This past summer, I and 10 of my friends made the trek from New York to Sturgis, South Dakota. That's 1600 miles one way.
Along the way, my dyna began the "death wobble." I managed to limp her along to our destination, Custer, SD. As soon as I could, I got her into Black Hills Harley Davidson. After spending the day at the dealership with a couple of my "uncles" (I'm the youngest in the group, they've all got 10 to 15 years on me except the 4 that are my age) they gave me back my girl and we saddled up. Not long after that, disaster struck.
They say you see your life flash before your eyes right before you meet your maker. That wasn't the case for me. All I remember is my muscles tensing up, my butthole puckering, and repeating like a mantra in my helmet, "Oh,shit. Oh, shit." My one thought that stands out clear as a bell was of my babies. I was thinking that I hoped they knew how much I loved them.
What happened:
As I was getting on the on-ramp, I began to pick up speed to merge into traffic. I must've been doing 55-60 when the "death wobble" came back with a vengeance. I eased back on the throttle till I was coasting, but it only got worse. I had no control.
I remember looking to my left and seeing an 18-wheeler bearing down on me. The poor driver wouldn't have time to stop or maneuver around me. I was going to Jax Teller it on a highway in South Dakota. My mom was going to get another call saying she lost someone out of state.
Now, I'm not trying to force feed you religion or convince you that God exists (I'm into Ominism anyway), but something was with me at that moment. Be it God, my spirit guides, or my ancestors. And it's not the first time divine intervention has saved me. At 7, my sister and I were almost kidnapped out of my great-grandmother's backyard. The dude got spooked somehow and took off. To this day I don't know how I got to the shoulder of the road. And any of the homies with me that day can't tell you either.
After the incident, one of the guys wives started telling me about her spiritual journey. She dragged me into a metaphysical shop and told me to grab some crystals and let them tell me which one was mine. I had no clue what the hell she was talking about! But I ended up leaving there with a verascite bracelet and a chrysacola pocket rock.
The next day, I went back and traded in my dyna for the new FXLRST. I got the black one because they were out of the grey. Looking back now, I'm glad because everyone has the grey one. When I got home from that trip, things really started ramping up for me. This is what I believe was my catalyst.

Okay, I got a little edited before work. The second smut scene (there are 3. Gee, I wonder why?). Anyway, the Rally starts today, so I'm debating if I want to take the long way to work, through town and then on the service road.
Have I mentioned I hate the Rally?
....
I really want to do something fun here on Tumblr for my birthday, but I really don't feel I'd get enough engagement.
I know there's a handful of you that would play, but it's kind of like when I do the request for donations for some non-profit on Facebook and it never reaches the goal. Yeah, it's good I got some people to donate, but it's depressing it wasn't enough.

Through gripping chapters like "Whispers in the Black Hills" and "Firefight at Dusk," the novel weaves a tale of bravery, friendship, and resilience, as riders clad in leather face off against an insatiable darkness. "Rally of the Damned II: The Skinwalker Chronicles" weaves a gripping tale of supernatural terror set against the raw, rebellious energy of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Friends Charlie, Jason, Ted, and Travis, seasoned rally-goers, face a new danger when a Skinwalker—a fearsome creature from Navajo legend—emerges, fueled by vengeance and dark rituals. As bodies with horrific, ritualistic wounds start to appear, fear spreads through the biker community. Joined by allies like the enigmatic Spirit Rider and brave Sierra, the group prepares to fight this ancient evil with silver bullets, sacred chants, and ancestral knowledge. Together, they form a courageous front, intertwining age-old lore and modern resolve to protect their community from an otherworldly threat.

So it’s been a while. Every year around July, I start thinking of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and my sub-conscious always starts packing my motorcycle for the trip. It’s a reflexive thing and whether the trip happens or not, doesn’t seem to matter. I used to be very consistent in going each year and the last few years just haven’t happened. What changed? Nothing, except I refused to make excuses…

Harley-Davidson: Biker Backlash Over 'Woke' Image | Sturgis Rally Fallout
Harley-Davidson is facing biker backlash over fears that the American motorcycle manufacturer born with the renegade image is now identifying as woke.  “@harleydavidson has been one of the most beloved brands in America but recently on CEO Jochen Zeitz’s watch, they’ve gone totally woke,” filmmaker Robby Starbuck shared with his more than 528,000 followers on X in late July.  The bike brand’s…

Somehow, even with all the extra work, we got out of there on time. If it had been up to my coworker, some things would have been left (the girls get a little panicked when they think we're going to get out late), but I have yet to leave ANYTHING undone on a night shift, and I'm not about to start now when I'm trying to leave the job! I directed her on what to do and did the rest in my speedy way and we got it done.
The drive home was super bad tonight. Not sure why Sunday night was so much worse than the last two.
OMG It was even more of mess than I expected at work.
Even my coworker was like 'what happened this morning???'
My head hurts...

Step into the Shadows: The Epic Tale of Survival and Brotherhood Imagine a land where the whispering pines and expansive skies of the Black Hills become the backdrop for a story so gripping, it blurs the lines between legend and reality. Rally of the Damned: The Wendigo Awakens is not just a book; it's an entryway into a world where the roar of motorcycles and the whispers of ancient curses collide. As the twilight deepens in the Black Hills, an ominous presence stirs in the wilderness. Legends told in hushed tones around crackling campfires begin to manifest, turning the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally into a battleground for the souls of riders and townsfolk alike. From the initial bone-chilling discovery in "Whispers in the Black Hills" to the heart-stopping showdown in "Dawn's Early Light," readers are taken on a journey where bravery, brotherhood, and the will to survive against unseen terrors are tested to their limits. Experience the thrill as riders clad in chrome and leather come together, not only to celebrate their love for the open road but to face an ancient evil awakening in their midst. The Wendigo, a creature of Native American folklore, known for its insatiable hunger for human flesh, casts a shadow over the revelry. The rally becomes a scene of chaos and carnage, pushing a group of daring souls to the edge as they rally to confront the chilling horror. As alliances are formed and friendships are tested, the riders must navigate a path fraught with danger, deceit, and the darkest corners of human nature. The chapters "Blood on the Throttle" and "Firefight at Dusk" will leave readers on the edge of their seats, as the quest for survival transforms into a gripping tale of sacrifice and redemption. For those who dare to delve into the heart of darkness, Rally of the Damned: The Wendigo Awakens promises an unforgettable journey. It's a testament to the power of storytelling, where each twist and turn on this highway of suspense leads to the ultimate confrontation between the forces of good and the depths of evil. Prepare to be enthralled by a narrative where the roar of engines and the howl of ancient spirits entwine. This book is a ride you won't want to end.
