i happened to stumble upon a small, privately-owned library while looking for parking on my way to picking up a pre-lecture coffee. i felt inexplicably drawn to the place from its exterior alone, and when i noticed they were selling books out front, i was completely convinced to go and browse.

i was soon exploring the place, eventually finding a corner where i could tuck myself away and begin studying. it’s such a gorgeous library, with such an unparalleled sense of peace brought about just by soaking in the environment there; i’ll definitely be returning.

I feel like media has super misled people about how easy and safe it is to knock someone out

if someone gets knocked out by being hit in the head, that is not just a cute and casual injury that you bounce back from 😭 ESPECIALLY not if you're unconscious for an extended period of time from that, there's a reason anesthesiology is such a tricky field and it's because living bodies/brains are designed to stay conscious (unless sleeping obviously) at ALL COSTS and safely knocking someone out is a very very delicate process
