You stared at the clouds above you, feet dragging heavily as you blew out a breath. You held a half eaten sand which in one hand and scrolled through your phone with the other.

Music boomed softly through your ear buds as you made your way to school. Autumn was approaching as you walked down the path filled with palettes of orange leaves.

Very soon, winter break would be arriving. Your last year in high school was dawning on you. In a couple of days there would be an early graduation party. You could see the faint outline of your school building as you walked closer and closer. You unconsciously rubbed the tattoo on the inside of your wrist

You chuckled as you recalled the day you had gotten your tattoo for the first time. It was your 15th birthday as you felt a tingle or two on your wrist. You were worried and out of it, not knowing what was happening to your body and unfamiliar ink started to appear on your body. Especially when it wasn’t the most innocent of comment.

You had gotten stares from your tattoo that was mostly visible. You rubbed the soft skin and brushed over the words. You hated the tattoo that was carved on you in the beginning, hating how sexual it was related to. However, slowly you begun falling in love with it.

You searched on the web, and after finding out about “soulmates”, you couldn’t wait to find yours as the tattoo was the key to your destined partner.

As you approached the gates of high school, you drowned out the sounds of chatters and gossiping with your music. You had spent the last three years, hiding in the shadows. Sure you didn’t have many enemies or anything “dramatic” happen to you. You were used to the silence you often engulf yourself with.

You sat in your seat, watching as people engaged in their own physical activities. The teacher infront of you was boring and you desperately wanted to skip class and return to your comfortable bed. You sighed as you felt the wind blow softly across your face when suddenly abrupt cheers erupted from the field below.

Your chin was nestled comfortably on your palm as you watched as he dribbled the basketball, before getting into position and scoring successfully. His teammates surrounded him in a big team hug, each head dyed with a unique hair dye.

But his silvery grey hair caught your attention as he threw his head backwards to laugh at a comment from his teammate. You felt your pulse quickening. You had never actually spoken to the cute alien boy before.

But you remembered the day you first met him. It was during first year. The thundering sounds of the rain pattering on the ground mocked you as you raised your palm to the sky. You had stayed back to study own your own but had completely forgotten to pack an umbrella with you in the morning.

You chewed on your lip, mentally listing out possible ways of avoiding the rain. Which seems to be quite big of a challenge. I could take the road behind the school? It’s kind of dangerous but i wouldn’t get drenched at all—

You nodded to yourself, feeling as if it was the best possible route, but as you stepped out of the school, you felt someone behind you and you looked behind to find Taehyung smiling at you with a gummy square smile, he opened up his alien designed umbrella, gesturing for you to take it.

You were hesitant, but he didn’t seem to back out of his offer. Once you took it from his hand, bowing to him slightly, he only flashed you another cute grin before running out into the rain. You tried calling out for him, but he was soon out of your sight.

Soon, you began learning his name. Since he joined the popular group of boys in your school it wasn’t very hard to do so. You constantly spit him walking down the hallway, beside your class as he spoke animatedly with his 6 other friends.

You didn’t know when you started falling for the popular “kid”. Maybe it was his square boxed smile that caused butterflies to erupt in your stomach, or the way he was always willing to help anyone in need. You constantly caught him patting the neighbourhood cat, and helping an old lady cross the street while helping her with her groceries.

His hair made you want to touch them and nustle into them and his vibe was so warm, you’ve always wanted to give him a hug.

But of course, you were a “nobody”. A shadow. There were tons and tons of girls that were willing to follow Taehyung to the ends of the earth. They were way better than you and you didn’t deserve a man like Taehyung.

So you could only look away from him. Keeping to yourself.

Not noticing the way he stared at you.

You rubbed you’re arms up and down, nervously standing in the corner of the room and staring at the sea of people infront of you.

The music boomed loudly as people gathered and danced together. It was the night of the graduation party, you weren’t really the type who would attend parties but seeing as this was your last year. Here you were, dressed in a fitting red silk dress that showed your curves perfectly.

You fidgeted with your dress, everyone was dressed in suits or formal dresses. You started zoning out at your corner.

Your hand lazily holding up a plastic cup of juice, as you leaned against the wall behind you. You had let down your wavy long hair today. You tucked a piece of stray hair behind your ear and focused on the crowd in front of you.

You could recognise that bed of hair from anywhere.

He slapped the back of Jungkook as he snickered adorably. Taehyung was dressed in a suit, his hair styled slightly, making him give off a charismatic vibe Your heart raced as you eyed him up and down and when he looked in your direction for a second, you could only look away to avoid eye contact with him.

But when you turned back, you found almost a ring of girls surrounding Taehyung. Pressing their breasts together in hopes of catching his eye.

Your heart ached at the sight even thought you knew he wasn’t even yours. You shook your head, your eyes looking away and spotting the stairs that led up to the school roof.

You sighed and walked slowly to the roof, your heels clicking onto the floor.

Taehyung gazed at your form, the group of girls pressing up against him, attempting to get a smile out of him was getting on his nervous.

As he spotted you leaving for the roof, he quickly excused himself with a forced smile and quickly disappearing from the sights of his fangirls.

He didn’t expect you to look for him, holding a bag of homemade desserts and his properly folded umbrella. You awkwardly rushed out a “Thank you for yesterday” but he heard it loud and clear. He covered his mouth with the back of his hand, he didn’t understand why he found you absolutely adorable.

He knew you were quiet, a shadow. But for some reason, he couldn’t take his eyes off you. It’s been the same for the past few years. Sure he had dated others to get his mind off of you, but it always went back to you.

Taehyung read the tattoo on his finger,

“i came alone”

as he met up with his friends. Most of them have already found their own soulmates and he was excited to meet his.

But the moment you entered, everything else and anybody else disappeared. Your silky hair was down in beautiful waves, and the red silk dress you wore made you look more angelic than ever. Taehyung quickly looked away, a slight blush adorning his cheek. he could only hope that the dark dim lights of the hall would hide the obvious blush.

he tried to keep up with his friend’s conversations but the moment he could sneak a small peak of you left his heart racing.

Taehyung climbed up the staircase leading up to the roof, slightly panting as the nerves got to him.

You heard the door open and close behind you. Quickly whipping behind to check who it was, you were surprised with the sight infront of you.

did he come up here with someone else?

but he montioned if he could sit next to you. You quickly opened your mouth to gesture to him.

“I came alone” you said

he smiled reassuringly and sat next to you, he placed his finger on his lips, pretending to “brainstorm”

“hey, title of my sex tape” he said with a large smile, proud of his dirty joke.

Until the both of you realised what had happened

the two of you glanced at each other with wide eyes, you quickly covered your mouth, in shock of what had just happened.

Taehyung pulled away from his daze, his hand reaching out for your cheek.

“May i?” he asked softly.

You nodded your head, not trusting your voice at the very moment.

With soft movements he slid his hand to rest it on your cheek, smiling as he felt you nuzzle into him almost naturally. He shifted closer to you, your legs resting upon his thighs as he gazed at you with eyes filled with nothing but adoration.

“You’re everything i could every want Y/n, i’m so glad i finally found you” he whispered before resting his forehead against yours.

your eyes widened as you realised that he actually knew your name. Your eyes filled with happy tears, happy to have found the person that you knew, you were going to love with all your heart.

“same here tae”

Taehyung’s eyes dropped to your lips and you gave him a nod of approval, he leaned in and captured your lips with his.

You felt a spark in your heart, feeling a connection to him immediately.

As he broke away, he took your hand in his. There was an obvious size difference, but he linked them together as you laid your head against his shoulder.

as we all know kpop is often used as an umbrella term for korean music. there’s actually a lot of sub-genres that fall under it & mix on the same album ! kpop also likes to fuse genres so a lot of what you hear are actually fusions of different elements on this list. I’m gonna make a separate post for concepts in the future, but for now we’re just going to focus on sound. this is in no way a comprehensive list and it may be incorrect in some places, please feel free to do your own research.

while retro is a “concept” of sorts, a lot of genres fall under this so I decided to group them together. these are the sounds you’ll mostly see if someone wanted to go back in time for a comeback to two. not everything here is strictly “retro” or “old fashioned”, but they came from the 20th century.

electronic dance music (edm) is percussive electronic music that you’ll normally hear in a club should you ever go to one. edm has a lot of different forms, some we have already mentioned above ! they will be reposted, but I’ll definitely find more examples.

“Are they really here?” Minho whispered as they snuck backstage.

Tori nodded. “Apparently. They’re presenting, and I heard someone say that one of them might be doing a special stage.”

He straightened his jacket. “Do I look okay?”

“You look fine.” She promised. “And besides, it’s not like you haven’t met them.”

“Yeah, but it’s different. I’m like...not their backup dancer anymore.”

“I don’t think BTS is going to-”

“What am I supposed to do now?” Someone’s very loud voice carried down the hall.

Minho and Tori turned to look as a figure stormed down the hall, two very nervous-looking venue employees hurrying after.

Only when she stepped into the light did they realize who it was.

“Hide.” Minho said quickly. “We need to hide.”

“No.” Tori shushed him. “I wanna know the tea.”

“I hate that I know what that means now.” He groaned, turning to look the other way in case Sumi looked at him.

“You can still go on stage, I’m sure it’ll be fine.” The staff tried to reassure her.

“The song is for a group of four. And we got it down to two. And now you’re telling me that Jimin can’t make it because filming for Queendom ran over.”

“You knew that was a risk when you agreed-”

Sumi crossed her arms. “So I perform by myself?”

“You have to.”

“Great.” She threw her hands up in the air and turned away. “My first solo performance back and I’m going to do a half-assed performance. Really-”  She paused.

Tori looked up from her shoes after a long silence, finding Sumi and the staff all staring at her. The staff looked confused, but Sumi was just staring at them inquisitively.

“Ah, Hi.” Sumi bowed. “This is Minho. He used to dance backup for-”

“How tall are you?”

“Me?”

“It doesn’t matter.” Sumi stalked over, her heels making her about the same height as Tori. “I’d say you’re about the same size. Tori, right?”

“Yes.” Tori squeaked, having never felt more intimidated in her life.

Sumi nodded, thinking for a moment. “Zoey says you’ve got your shit together.”

“Mostly...” Tori thought for a moment. “I think. What are we talking about exactly?”

“I’m supposed to perform Bad Girl Good Girl with Jimin from AOA in twenty minutes, and she won’t be here. You’re from JYP, the same size, and have Zoey vouching for you. You in?”

Tori blinked. “I’m confused.”

“She wants you to perform with her.” Minho whispered, trying to be unnoticed.

“Hi, Minho. You’ve done well for yourself.” Sumi said, not even looking at him.

“Well, I tried. I mean-”

“You were always very talented.” Sumi finally smiled at him. “I’m just thrilled we got the chance to work with you before you were famous.” She looked back at Tori. “Are you in?”

Tori looked at Minho. “You were right, we should hide.”

Sumi smiled. “It’s okay if you say no. I’m just kind of in a pinch, and quite frankly I think performing with you will be fun.”

“We...” Tori rubbed her arm. “We haven’t had a chance to rehearse.”

“We have twenty minutes and a well-known choreo.”

Tori bit her lip. “I guess...Stray Kids is done for the day. And...it might be fun.”

“Perfect!” Sumi clapped her hands, turning to the staff. “One of you please go arrange everything with Stray Kids’ team, and Tori, you and Minho come with me and we’ll get ready for the performance.”

“Me?” Minho squeaked. 

“Yeah, I’m sure the boys would love to see you again.”

“We met, briefly at an award show last year.” Tori said quietly as Sumi set off at a brisk pace down the hall.

“I remember. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat more.” She stopped at the door of a dressing room and pushed it open. “Put clothes on losers, I brought guests.”

As it happened, all members of BTS were appropriately dressed, looking up in mild confusion at the new visitors.

“Stray Kids?” Yoongi tilted his head.

“Yup.” Sumi reached for a hairbrush. “I’m performing with Tori now.”

“I thought you were performing with Jimin.” Namjoon said, hands on his hips.

Sumi shook her head. “I’ve only got room for one Jimin in my life.”

“So what? You kidnapped Tori?” Jin asked.

“Pretty much. But she’s cool with it.” Sumi winked at Tori.

Tori awkwardly smiled.

“Right.” Sumi clapped her hands decisively. “Boys, you remember Minho. He used to dance with us. Go keep him company so Tori and I can get ready.”

“You can’t kick us out of our own dressing room.” Taehyung complained.

“Sure I can.” She flashed him a finger heart. “Get out.”

Jhope rolled his eyes, swinging an arm over Minho’s shoulders and leading him from the room.

Tori was tempted to reach for him, but watched them all trickle out, taking her only ally and leaving her with Sumi.

“Your outfit is marked with the red tag.” Sumi said. “Try it on, and we probably have time for quick alterations if need be.”

Tori didn’t spot a changing screen, so she stood in the corner. Sumi seemed suitably unbothered, and stripped and dressed herself in her own costume without so much as casting a look at Tori.

When she did, Tori had pulled on the striped crop top and black shorts, and was working her way into the jacket.

“It looks good.” Sumi smiled. “Everything feel okay?”

“Yeah, I think so.” Tori swallowed. “Are you sure you want me to perform with you? It might be better if you just go on by yourself.”

Sumi snorted. “I doubt it. We’ll need your looks if we’re going to stand a chance.”

“My looks...” Tori tilted her head. “But you’re very pretty.”

Sumi snorted. “Trust me, you’re prettier. Now, do you know the dance?”

“Yeah.”

“Kay, here’s the positions we’ve worked out.”

Tori looked at the outstretched sheet, considering it for a moment. “Got it.”

“That fast?” Sumi raised an eyebrow.

“I’m a dancer.” She said by way of explanation.

“Ah.” She smiled. “That’s why Zoey likes you so much.”

Sumi smoothed out her own skirt and set to applying some makeup. “I hope I’m not scaring you or anything.”

“Scaring me? Of course not.” Tori said, her voice high and squeaky.

Sumi laughed. “Going on without being certain of your set is nerve-racking at the best of times. Getting such little notice is even worse.”

“I’m not worried about the set.” Tori said, moving Jungkook’s sweater so she could sit on the chair. 

“Then what is there to worry about?” Sumi asked.

“Performing with you.” Tori said quietly.

Sumi’s eyes widened, and she looked at her for a long moment, before turning back to the mirror. “If that’s your concern, there’s no problem.”

“There is!” Tori insisted. “You’re like....the most famous Korean woman in the world.”

“Okay now, Hyuna exists.”

“You’re more famous and you know it.”

Sumi gave Tori a soft smile. “I’m just another idol. And I promise I’m a worse dancer than you.”

“Well, that’s something at least.” Tori gave a small laugh.

“So...” Sumi said, touching up her mascara. “Since we’re best friends now, can you spill whatever was up with the whole stalker thing, and the dating thing?”

“You saw that?” Tori winced.

“Everyone did. You okay?”

Tori nodded. “Guy was a creep, and broke into my apartment and tried to kidnap me, so you know.”

“Sadly, I do.” Sumi frowned. “But they took care of it?”

“They did.”

“And what about the dating thing? Just stupid rumours I assume. Those are the freaking worst. Last year everyone thought I was dating Shownu. And I mean, dude’s nice and looks great, but I feel like it’d be a little like dating a mannequin, you know?” 

Tori took a moment to process all that she’d just said. “I...guess so?”

“Anyways.” Sumi spun in her chair. “Dating rumours. Ridiculous, right?”

“Well,” Tori instantly wished she was a better liar. “It wasn’t entirely unfounded.”

“Really.” Sumi looked playfully scandalized. “You and the leader?”

“Chan. A bit. But it’s over now.”

Sumi shook her head. “From the look on your face, I’m pretty sure it isn’t over.”

“Two minutes to stage prep!” 

“TWO MINUTES TO STAGE PREP!” Jin knocked on the door.

“You ready?” Sumi smiled.

“I think so.”

“Good.” Sumi linked arms with her. “I get a vibe we’re going to be friends. Is that okay? I literally never get to hang out with anyone other than the guys. And occasionally Zoey. I’d love love love a new friend.”

“Okay.” Tori nodded shyly.

“Oh, yay!” She gasped. “You, me and Zoey should have sleep overs!”

Tori laughed. “I’m in!”

“Great!” Sumi reached for the door. “And, since you just told me a secret, I’ll tell you one too.”

“Okay, I’m ready for it.” Tori grinned.

Sumi gave a positively evil grin. “I have a boyfriend.”

“WHAT!”

“Let’s go.” She opened the door, pushing through the crowd of boys.

“How have you kept that hidden? Who is it?”

Sumi laughed. “You don’t get that many secrets until we’ve at least exchanged friendship bracelets.”

“Please, Eonnie.” Tori begged. “I need to know!”

“Tell you what, I’ll tell you over dinner. A thank you for helping me out with this.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

“Good. Because we need some serious best friend bonding time.”

“Oh, I can’t be best friends.” Tori said honestly. “Felix will be devastated.”

“Other Australian boy?”

“Yeah.”

“Jeez girl, you get around. Okay, fine. Zoey and I will just be second to Felix. Deal?”

“Deal?”

Sumi shook her head. “I can’t believe I’m being treated like this.”

“I can’t believe someone is making me go onstage with twenty minutes of prep.” Tori winked.

journey with kpop

[forewarning: i’m about to take this way back, so this is going to be really long. rip.]

i believe my journey with kpop began with super junior’s “sorry sorry.” i remember i was at the mall with my family and there was this some sort of mall show that was supposed to happen later on. i couldn’t remember what the mall show even was for (not that it was relevant), i just remember that they kept blasting “sorry sorry.”

i suppose super junior gained popularity in my country around that time, but i wasn’t really one to follow with trends — so naturally, i didn’t give them much attention. plus, i was extremely young and was too studious. i remember appreciating “sorry sorry” (and also “mr. simple” when people in my country started playing it), but i didn’t go beyond knowing kpop in passing.

i remember dancing to 2ne1’s “fire” for a school event. i remember only knowing about 2ne1 because sandara park is a quite popular celebrity where i grew up. during my childhood, i was certain that 2ne1 was the only kpop group i was somehow most familiar with, purely because of that reason.

when kpop started to be popular amongst a few of my classmates, i remember hearing them mention snsd/girls’ generation a lot. still, kpop remained something that i know about, but didn’t really bother to dive into.

not even when one of my fanboy classmates asked me to trace a picture of exo’s sehun one time. (i felt like i needed to include this.)

after moving to another country, my exposure to kpop (and consequentially, kdrama) lessened significantly. no one was blasting korean songs out of the blue. there was no dubbed kdramas in the television.

being in a country that seems to be a stark contrast of my birth country, i didn’t even expect one of my classmates to know about kpop. when i found out she did, i kept asking her questions. still, at this time, i didn’t care for kpop — i couldn’t even remember most of what she told me (except for the fact that i somehow distinctly remember her talking about bts and mentioning jungkook’s name).

albeit that classmate and i weren’t close, i know — as a fangirl myself — that talking about her favorite boys gives her a kind of happiness only they can give, so i didn’t really mind not understanding most of what she was talking about. besides talking about her favorite groups, though, she also told me about the korean age and what a bias meant.

suddenly knowing more than i intended to still didn’t convince me, either.

not even when i stumbled upon a bts interview in an american award show. nor when i later found out that there were more kpop stans around me than i initially thought.

when i started going to a new school, i occasionally talk about kpop to my new friend after i learned that she listens to kpop. i usually ask her questions — mostly about the things i see on stan twitter. she didn’t try to get me into kpop, though, so i didn’t.

i actually thought it would stay that way . . . until my sister stumbled upon bts’ “boy with luv.” when she started playing it repeatly, i knew i was in trouble. based on experience, whatever my sister get into, i somehow get into it as well. and i was right.

next thing i knew, i was watching old music videos and crack videos with my sister. i already created a whole playlist with all the recommendations from my aforementioned friend (who happens to be a bts-ult). i even started learning their names, with the assistance of my friend.

it was just bts for a while, even after i started listening to txt. suffice to say, i was determined to keep it that way.

i wasn’t planning on completely diving into kpop. at all.

but, alas, the universe had other plans.

i started to go through the same process i did with bts shortly after i heard nct 127’s “paper plane.” i’m highkey blaming mark lee on this one because i only wanted to know if he sings or raps, but i ended up memorizing twenty-one new names and faces on top of understanding the whole nct concept.

then enter got7, exo, stray kids, and day6. frankly, i never intended to get attached to multiple groups/bands (regardless whether it was fully or partially) — even if, during this time, the strongest attachment i have was with bts. at this point, i was way past caring, honestly.

i started casually listening to seventeen after seeing a tweet about seventeen’s “lie again” making op cry. at first, i didn’t feel the need to get to know them beyond their songs — just like with every other kpop artists i listen to that i never bothered to go further than appreciating their music and thus not developing any attachments. but, after watching their knowing bros episode (and just . . . dying of laughter and amusement simultaneously), i — once again — started the process of falling for another group.

i’m not quite sure if my attachment for each group/band fades over time, i just know the intensity of such attachments becomes less intense after a while (probably because i eventually get used to them being a part of my life).

the one i have for seventeen is yet to tone down, though, even if it has been literally half a year (and counting!). frankly, i sincerely hope my attachment to them never does, but, alas, i can never be sure with the universe.

truth be told, i’m not quite sure why i declare seventeen as my ult group. whatever my reason is, though, i know it definitely is a mix of things that even i can’t fathom.

tl;dr: it takes me a little bit over a year (upon entering the kpop hole) to become a seventeen-ult multi kpop stan after an excessive amount of possible foreshadowing throughout my life. and i’m pretty i’m not done going through this journey yet, rip.

Summary: Fantasy can be brutal yet be addicting after a long day of work. Fortunately, a dearly loved kangaroo knows how to lessen the pain of the politics of Westeros.

This is my first piece for Stray Kids since they are slowly taking over my life and especially Chris (Bangchan). Hopefully, despite this being not BTS-related for once, it is still an enjoyable read.

For any Stays reading this and who are not acquainted with my works as of yet: I hope I do not disappoint.

A good story evokes emotions with its imagery and plot line, even more so when actors play out the scenes which are craftily adapted to a visual new format despite being written first in ink. The series ‘’Game of Thrones’’ is a splendid example of what might happen in a scenario in which the story hits harder than expected, beloved characters dying left and right while the audience can merely look on in horror.

Or cheer in delight in Joffrey’s case.

The day at work at the café in the centre of town had been hazardous, the arrival of spring break ensuring lots of tourists to come in to taste and photograph the seasonal specials while enjoying the gradually becoming warmer sunny weather. The entire shift literally consisted of creating soft sweet sakura custard buns and sweet lush green mochis decorated with a rice dough cherry blossom and petals, slicing up the slightly floral cheesecake with a pink inside that had to be remade perhaps four to five times due to the high demand. Not to speak of the effort to deliver with making the time-consuming coffees and hot or cold cocoas befitting the abundant fall of sakura around the village. However, such are the duties of being part of the already small team: each person has to be able to work all-round when this time of the year comes despite there not being too much patronage otherwise since the city is not that big nor well-known.

But every exhausting shift makes a mini-marathon in the evening of the new season of ‘’Game of Thrones’’ all the more deserved, simply sitting back on the comfortable creme-coloured love seat with a cup of freshly prepared ice coffee and either a tub of cookies and cream ice cream or a protein bar in the same flavour. Fortunately, it is not minded by the boyfriend of one and a half years since the blonde athletic boy can mostly be found at the gym in the evenings when not hanging out with friends.

Nonetheless, Chris’s absence is more of a curse since the first episode of the night has a grander impact on the psyche than expected, making a firm hug that is mostly tried to be escaped from under normal circumstances now dearly desired. Too many impactful emotional events follow each other up at the end of the sixth season’s fifth episode, triggering the rare reaction of tears in eyes that can merely watch and a palm wrapped over a speechless mouth.

The response is even powerful enough to miss the click of the front door of the shared apartment and the dull thump of the ashen buffalo bag filled with sports gear in the tiny entryway leading to the studio, much less so the giggle following the habitual greeting of “I’m home, babygirl”, which is still awkward despite the many times it has been uttered.

‘Hey, Y/N, are you, wait, are you crying?’ As soon as the credits roll over the screen and the DVD is paused, fingers unclasp from paralyzed lips to wipe away the watery traces of the damage done by mere yet gripping fantasy which stirs the youth to rush over to the couch and rapidly take place on the empty spot formerly occupied by bare feet, making a sorrowful being bounce slightly with the impact of the sudden additional weight. Firm veiny arms are immediately clung onto when they initiate an unbreakable embrace, one slender hand placed protectively on the top of the head, cradling it against the shoulder. ‘What happened?’

No answer comes per direct, first throwing out every bit of frustration thanks to fantastical explicit cruelty while holding on to an oversized sweat-soaked onyx shirt but not minding the hint of sourness to the characteristic scent of minty soap. The golden-haired lad resembling a kangaroo when fired up with energy has taken on the tranquil appearance of a koala, its counterpart, and simply waits patiently until the incoherent blabbering attempts at voicing a reason for the silly behaviour gain a sense of logic. Simultaneously, the left upper arm is being rubbed in uncomprehending close solace, chin resting on the crown of the head when not giving soft caring forehead kisses and whispering soothing nothings.

At last, after a good while of crying, it is dared to look Chris in the eye to tell what forms the reason for the curious distress. Nevertheless, it is an obvious fact the thumb caressing the cheek while explaining forms one of the support pillars which keeps speech steadier than it would be without. ‘Geo- George R.R. Martin is a bastard. He- He let Bran’s wolf be killed by Whitewalkers and- and... Hodor...’ A heavy sob. ‘M- mea- means “ho- hold the door”...’

The very vivid thought about the death of the kind giant at the door arises, initiating a continuation of the lament created by a splendid bastard of an author’s writing. The hug tightens, a rumble in the trained chest beneath the slick flowy fabric resulting in an adorable chuckle as tears stream down a pale neck. ‘You take it way too seriously, Y/N. It’s just a story. Nobody’s actually dead, everything is fine.’

‘Shut up, Chris, you do- don’t know what power George has.’ It is incredible how ‘’Game of Thrones’’ has escaped the attention of the Australian platinum youth, but at the same time places him in a disposition of ignorance about how sensitive talk about the show can be. Certainly for long-time viewers who have likely seen their favourites be brutally murdered in favour of plot progression.

‘No, I don’t, but how about you show me and I’ll try to protect you from it?’ Hazel irises light up at the prospect at one of the most loved things aside from the steady relationship with a girl who gets carried away into fantasy too often and, judging by the broad smirk that begins to form, the continuation of the proposal is nothing surprising yet deliciously loving. ‘With food?’

‘Tha- That’s your solution to ev- everything, isn’t it?’ A careful curl of the corners of the mouth forms out of the sorrowful expression at seeing the genuine giddiness at a second dinner or, rather, late night snack together. Although, it also arises out of the vivid images quickly flashing by of the personified koala’s silly movements whenever something tastes incredible, the funny habit always a cause for affectionate laughter and a source of confidence in the at times doubtful personal cooking skill.

‘It always makes you smile,’ a stray strand is tucked behind the ear, plush roseate lips placing a sweet kiss on the forehead, ‘I’ll first take a shower and then prepare some tteokbokki. How about that?’

Unconsciously, a consenting eager nod is already given before the reaction can be even thought about, the stomach having overtaken demeanour out of anticipation of the small rice cakes. ‘Extra spicy?’

A slight nervousness slips into attitude, eyes holding a silent plead for toning down on the spice levels because the last time they were too high for most to handle, Cris’s friends who came over for the monthly movie night all frantically reaching for cucumber and milk to nullify the impact while trying to save the fellow Australian of the group at the same time. Withal, howbeit while clearly contemplating to adjust the amount of gochujang regardless of the request, the proposal is agreed to. ‘Sure, extra spicy it is. Now, don’t you dare continue in the meanwhile or I won’t cuddle you for the rest of the week.’

A sceptic roll of the eyes, finding no credibility in the statement considering the personality of the speaker. ‘Oh, come on, we both know that’s an empty threat.’

The slightly loosened embrace tightens to a literally breathtaking degree once more, but now it is tried to be escaped as is normally the case when the blonde youth tends to get cheesily clinging. ‘Or I hug you to death, your choice.’

‘Let me go!’ Any type of resistance results in the opposite, becoming more and more the prisoner of secure loving arms instead of a free woman. Notwithstanding, it cannot be said it is minded, though the rumbling in the stomach betrays the recently realized craving for food that can only be had when giving in.

‘Not before you answer.’ The heavy weight suddenly tipping the scales cannot be prevented from being the oppressor of the strength that is unable to lift it, head hitting the soft pillows of the sofa on the other end as the sporty lad with dewy skin maintains the firm hug. A delighted playful chuckle sounds at the realization of having the held figure exactly where she is apparently wanted, unable to be freed before having made a decision. ‘Well, what’s it gonna be?’

‘Either way, you’ll suffer. Option one leaves me alive but you’ll get cuddle withdrawal symptoms. Option two leaves you without your favourite squishy.’ An eyebrow rises in challenging mockery which will only worsen the circumstances though the sarcasm cannot be helped. Just as in the brutal series, if you play smart, you shall survive. And this preferred victim of affection, this most beloved fighter of clinging hugs, has plans to survive the night.

‘Aren’t you clever, turning my own words against me?’ A lopsided smirk forms on the koala boy’s face, eyes illuminated by playful lights.

‘In the Game of Thrones, you live or you die and I intend to do the former.’ Henceforth, a cute sweetness slips into speech as lips irresistibly pout, manipulating Chris even further into hurrying up in fulfilling the promise of tteokbokki and stop stalling the rest of the well-deserved marathon. ‘I’m hungry.’

Blonde locks bow in amused defeat, shaking briefly with acknowledged surrender before gazes lock again. ‘I have no idea what that reference means, but you win this time, Y/N. Can’t let my babygirl starve.’

The characteristic awkward laughter accompanying the nickname by default ends the topic of debate, the kangaroo boyfriend lifting himself off a half-crushed no longer entirely torn by fantasy figure to finally shower. In the absence filled with the lingering traces of songs sung with an angelic voice, more pillows and a thin ornately decorated blanket are gathered for properly snuggling up with delicious food and an amazing but heartbreaking brutal show.

Sweater paws clad in a soapy mint oversized sweater wrap around the platinum youth’s waist to give him a taste of his own medicine, trying to show how inconvenient it can be when a person is basically glued to you during household tasks, which lets them become increasingly more complicated due to the loving gesture. Withal, it does not have the intended effect as the young man manages to get along with making the rice cakes coated in a fierce red sauce just fine although it does pose a bit of a risk when a small hand reaches out for the gochujang tub to add more to the sauce and the chef obviously not consenting to this idea, the dispute resulting in play fighting that almost turns the fire pit open too far without further notice.

The tickling almost results in burns and burned clothing, the just as touchy retribution barely short of ending in a trail of sauce stains leading from the kitchen floor to the fake black leather loveseat thanks to fingertips poking sides. Regardless, it is managed to be reached without further ado, the cruelly incredible series resuming with one strong arm wrapped around the shoulders, a warm meal split in two put into two laps sitting side by side. Occasionally, a chewy tteok is fed with a content smile from the bigger portion of the athlete eating like a starved man, who is evidently as happy with the result of the obstructed cooking as the appreciating look in the eyes of the accepting mouth, going by the happy wiggles accompanied by tuneful hums.

And thus the imaginary intriguing political game synonymous to crimson onslaught continues, because the questioning, at times shocked, comments made out of ignorance brighten the mood due to their silent request for an explanation, delighting the nerdy fangirl within to no end.

Bighit is not in the Big 3- RANT (please read)

Okay I seen this almost fucking everywhere that fans (mostly Armys) thinking that Bighit has entered the Big 3 and dethroned either YG or JYP, Or that they entered the “Big 4”.

Before I get killed by Armys let me fucking explain myself as I have something to tell you my new Kpop fans. Let me educate you a little bit about Kpop from someone who was into kpop fan since 2012.

If you think Bighit is in the Big 3 then you clearly have no idea what the big 3 is and what it means to be in it.

Being in the Big 3 isn’t about profit and sales as Bighit has surpassed the Big 3 in profit, but being in the Big 3 is about the legacy they hold and how much of a impact they had on Korean society.

SM, YG and JYP Literally shaped kpop and korean society themselves with their groups. All three of them have a long history starting back from the beginning of Kpop in the 90s with their successful 1st generation groups, to their 2nd generation groups that started the Hallyu movement to now with their 3rd generation groups. They paved the path for many modern groups and kpop wouldn’t be nearly as popular as it is now without the big 3.

SM, JYP, and YG proved over and over again that they can debut really successful groups, and most of these groups created kpop what it is now. No other companies can come close to become in the Big 3 as no other company comes close to what these 3 has achieved. Few years ago, not debuting in the big 3 meant you’re not gonna be successful and will flop and will be in debt so much longer.

Big3 privilege does exist as groups who debut in one of the big 3 have so much resources, support and has a huge advantage to make themselves big and known, compared to a smaller company which groups has to fight and work so much harder to be recognized by the public.

Bighit is an unknown company who almost went bankrupted and made 1 successful group and no girl groups?? (I say 1 successful as txt is still too new to determine).

Bighit MUST have a girl group in order to enter the big 3 but they don’t cause they’re being a sexist lil shit and won’t let go and shut up about GLAM. Why would the Big 3 want a company who can’t even fucking manage a girl group to be in the big 3 with them as all 3 of them have extremely successful girl groups.

What did Bighit do to kpop and Korean society?? literally make 1 Successful group and have fans who think they’re better then everyone else lol.

(I do believe BTS is influencing Korean society and Kpop right now but not in the scale of the Big 3)

Profit doesn’t qualify a company into the big 3. Bighit exceeded the big 3 with profit, but numbers doesn’t matter. Having 1 really successful group doesn’t qualify a company into the big 3 or big 4, as Big hit doesn’t even come close to what the big 3 has achieved, and would never even come close.

You guys say that BTS are paving the way which I do agree with you guys, but also are other popular groups today. Lastly, Don’t believe those articles online that says Bighit is in the Big 3, cause those are a load of Bullshit, false news, biased opinions and kpop fans who have no knowledge about kpop whatsoever. Don’t believe everything you read online.

I love BTS with my whole heart but it gets tiring as a multifandom to see this literally everywhere.

@hwiyyoung: this is my main that I started on October 10th, 2017 (so I’ve been on Tumblr for almost a year now!) basically because I wanted to become a gifmaker since when I joined there were very, very few content makers for SF9. The blog was meant to be 60% sf9, 30% bts, and 10% other groups but that didn’t really happen lol - it’s completely multifandom now, although I do post the most about sf9 & the boyz!

@starrysooyoung: I made my girl group sideblog in November 2017 because I had posted some gifs of Joy on my main and two people unfollowed lol so I decided to move all my girl group posts to a separate blog since clearly some people only stan boy groups which I 120% don’t understand

@psyysj: this is my inspiration/resources sideblog that I made in February 2018. I reblog mostly graphics and resources (psds, font links, etc) and it’s untagged and messy because I just scroll through the archive when I’ve got creative block and need some inspiration

Hey there, tumblr friends!

I’m not sure who is going to get around to reading this, but I felt like it was necessary to introduce myself before moving forward with my creative ideas.

I’m Angelo.

Well, some of you will know me as something different, and you can refer to me as my other name if we’re messaging. But from this point onward, I would prefer to be addressed as Angelo.

This seems wayyyyy to formal, but because of who I am, I wanted a chance to introduce myself.

I like writing, much like many other people on this platform. I’ve read plenty of works on here, fallen in love with them and the different styles of writing found by different people. I have only been around on tumblr short of two years, but it has been a roller coaster that was filled mostly with ups.

I was apart of a wonderful admin blog not too long ago, and tried my hand at writing on there. I’ve wrote on different platforms other than here when I was younger, and I loved it. 

And since I joined tumblr, I always longed to just write and post on my own account. Just me. And my ideas. I never got around to it, because I either lost my inspiration or fell out of love with one of my works.

But the time has finally come to just put all of my doubts and worries aside and indulge in my love for writing. Soon in the future, I will be in another and new chapter in my life, and I felt like in order to make the experience even more better, I could pick up on my hobby again.

I spent all last night writing something that I loved, and in order to not chicken out I only read it once before deciding it was time to let my writing as Angelo see the light of day. 

To offer up a little bit of information about myself, yes I was an admin on a blog a while ago, but my writing style has changed quite a bit since then and I personally feel like I’m different from the admin that I was on there. 

I will always cherish those moments, but as Angelo, I’m not that similar to who I was on that blog.

My number one group is BTS. My first kpop group was EXO though and I still have a soft spot for my first loves (haha <3).

My other favorite groups are NCT, MONSTA X, and Stray Kids. I don’t necessarily have them in order after BTS, but those are my top four groups. As for girl groups, the only two I love and relatively know very well are Red Velvet and Blackpink.

I have written for BTS and EXO, but as of right now, I don’t know if I will continue writing for them. I know that for EXO, it’s a hard set no- although there is one EXO work that I hold dear to my heart and may get around to re-posting on here if I ever feel like it. As for BTS, I think it’ll depend on if I feel that spark. Right now, the spark isn’t there.

These days, I’ve been drawn to NCT. And Stray Kids. The writing I am going to post after this is NCT-inspired. So perhaps I found my niche, which is our Neo Culture Boys...

Who I write for is subject to change. I won’t tie myself down to any group, or limit myself as well. Whoever catches my eye and sparks my inspiration, will spark my hand as well. So hopefully I will be a multi-fandom blog (at least for my top four groups).

I would also like to say that I don’t think I will be a blog that accepts requests. It’s a personal preference of my mine, and the only times I think that will change is if there is a drabble situation that I create.

I am not giving myself a writing schedule, I just know that I miss writing, and I will post on here whenever I feel particularly inspired or as an outlet for my writing. I hope that you all can be understanding about that.

Anways, I think I’ve addressed all I need to address. Although this may seem a little too sophisticated, I feel a little bit lighter at taking an opportunity to get myself out there. 

It is nice officially meeting whoever follows me and whoever chooses to follow me in the future. I hope we can be good friends and take care of each other.
