MLK Day is here!
So far really happy about the day. I did my morning playlist and morning writing, had breakfast, the listened to Letter from Birmingham Jail.
youtube
Then released my new podcast, AI Revolutionary Radio:
youtube
Then I just listened to Stokley Carmichael's Black Power speech.
youtube
The words of King are ringing in my head and I'm ready to double down on being a force for justice in everything I do.

Listen to Angela Davis, Fred Hampton, Stokley Carmichael, and H Rap Brown to name a few. all had the same sound. It was a sprit in us and in our music Check, Earth Wind and Fire, Mandrill, and New Birth, Gil Scott Heron, Last Poets and much of the music and poetry of the late 60’s and early 70’s . It was a unifying sound. A unifying Energy. We sound way different now.
I love the way Black people used to talk in the 70s! ✊🏿

I was going thru FBI files on surveillance of Black Nationalist groups in the 1960s and came across this gem.  “CARMICHAEL keeps using aliases and meeting in secret, as if someone is watching him!  Proof that he’s a Criminal Personality.”  Wrote the FBI agent in the confidential surveillance memo...
You really do get the sense that FBI agents tend(ed?) to be peasant-brained, going through this stuff.
