Do the Robots exist here? And if they do... are they any different?
Aha!!! If it is robos you ask then robos you shall receive!!!! *bows* *stumbles and falls on my face*
The robots are a bit different!!!
For one, Guardener will be more important!!! I love her so much i couldn’t help myself!!! and i wanted her and Axis to be friends :(
She, like all the others, is more humanoid. She has “hair” consisting of vines and ferns of an invasive, albino species of plant. She lives in the now much larger garden area of the Steamworks before she was shut down after it was abandoned. She floats around using jets of steam to avoid trampling the plants she tends to and help water them simultaneously!
She has her little backup bots too! I decided to call them RO-BEAU’s, standing for Rutherford Oscar (their creator), Backup Enforcement Assistant Units. If Guardener is gonna be more important, they’re definitely gonna be more important, but still pretty insignificant.
And, lastly, AXIS. Axis is, of course, a monster eradication, soul storage and experimental magic robot. not a mouthful at all and totally not gonna change./s
He was made out of Chujins paranoia regarding monsters. No officials would have approved his creation, so he was worked on in secret for years, sucking dry Chujins savings and sanity like a soul powered sponge until his final days.
In the end, he would get his head broken off and his body used for one of Mettatons first bipedal iterations. owch.
And the others. As for Sousborg (i think he’s called) i don’t know jack shit about him so i’ll have to look into it. And Jandroid, Goosic, and Vendy? they’re probably just gonna be more humanoid and get some more robot friends. That wall thing is staying the EXACT same, they’re annoying enough to think about no less try to rewrite, redesign and edit.
Will robo talk more at a later date, gotta think about if it’s all too much spoilers….
also this MAY make no sense it’s like 1am rn…
#i think if something won’t be explained in the comic or is already established in UTY i’ll talk about it#undertale#undertale yellow#undertale au#c!overtale#axis undertale yellow#undertale yellow guardener#ro-beaus c!overtale#axis c!overtale#guardener c!overtale

May I ask how SteamWorks turned out this way? Why did the robots go crazy? Who lost their minds first? How did axis turn out the way he is? Actually, tell me EVERYTHING ABOUT STEAMWORKS GRAHHHH
Well, this a bit complicated but here it is:
When the neutral route occurred, Asgore ordered to close "useless" areas like the Steamworks to maximize priority in more important areas like training the royal guards or others, making many monsters lost their job and contact with their creations.
The robots began to get colectively crazy due to not having more "purpose" on life anymore and losing contact with their creators, so robots began to destroy themselves and having hostile actions. Steamworks is the most dangerous area after The Wild East.
The first to lost their minds were the music and tv robots, then were the recepcionists and finally Guardener. Axis is not crazy and remains neutral-pacifist.
Axis was created after the incident to help monsters, two months later Steamworks was closed with Axis inside but he remained calm. However, this pacifist actitude made Axis vulnerable to attacks due to he not responding with violence and instead, he responds with care or medical kits.
The garden is full of black flowers and destroyed robot parts. There's no pink lava and instead theres only an endless void. All offices are destroyed and so the electricity, making it difficult to travel and pass. The reason Axis has blood on his clothes its because he made succesful operations on monsters to save them from infections or similar.
Aaaaand thats all i got for now i guess

I was in a bit of an argument with a youtube commenter about the potential for Undertale Yellow to be canon, and the point that originally made me back down was the DT experiments. In the True Lab entries, it is only after the DT experiments go wrong and the Amalgamates are created that Flowey was noticed missing from the garden, having gained sentience and proceeded to experience an infinitely long stretch of saved over time.
After having some time to think about, who is to say the DT experiments happened very recently between Integrity’s fall and Clover’s? All Alphys says in her entries is that the DT was extracted from the human *souls*, plural, meaning there were anywhere between 2 and 6 souls present at the time of the experiment. The youtube commenter was clearly in the mindset of there having been 6 souls present then, though there could’ve feasibly been just the 5 souls present. Combining the DT from all of those souls would far outweigh any monster’s ability and most certainly give one the power to SAVE and LOAD to their heart’s content. Given the interpretation that there were 5 souls present at the time of the DT experiments (after Integrity was handed off to the King after some serum was extracted), and the fact that you can find a flyer calling for fallen down monsters near the Steamworks entrance (I might be wrong on that one, I remember it being mentioned in an interaction sometime after Ceroba mentions that Kanako was sent to the lab), it’s likely that plenty of time has passed between Integrity’s fall and Clover’s fall, and likewise, Frisk’s fall. The argument that Undertale Yellow could not possibly be canon on the basis that Flowey wouldn’t exist in this timeline is simply wrong, as the DT experiments are very clearly discussed far in the past tense, with plenty of time for Flowey to develop his ideas of the world’s nature (not to mention the fact that it would be infinitely longer due to the nature of saving and loading).
Anyways yeah, tl;dr UTY could totally be canon and that one youtuber commenter out there is wrong

as the CEO of the ketsukane's what do you think of some takes of Kanako if she got to grow up normally/deltarune yellow kanako's? I find it a bit lame that a lot of people just turn her into bigger dorkier Ceroba, I think it'd be fun if more people did stuff with her interests in games and just generally her taking more after Chujin since her taking so much after Chujin (being so self sacrificial) is partially what caused her end in UTY. Idk on the deltarune yellow takes I just find it weird to turn her into some sort of shrine maiden when her wanting to be a superhero is right there. And they'd really think she'd wouldn't grow up with a love for tinkering?
tbh I don’t rly see enough grown up kanako centric fanworks to have any comment on the ‘bigger dorkier ceroba’ aspect ngl???+ in general im a lot more interested in how she’d grow up in the canon uty timeline as an amalgamate, and I am not a fan of how ppl erase the opportunity to explore her being one just to make things more ‘feel good’. but okay, hypothetical of her growing up without the incident taking place/deltarune yellow esque au…,
i do agree she’d take more after chujin obviously, tho I think saying her being self sacrificial is taken solely from chujin is a bit inaccurate, id argue both her parents are self sacrificial (ceroba throws her morality and wellbeing out the window just for a chance to make a difference! its not just chujin). The part id say that comes solely from chujin rather than both of her parents is more her interests and skillset, as u mentioned a bit with the video game he made for her. (and cerobas description of her also leaning towards her being more like chujin ofc)
on that note, i quite like the idea of her getting into robotics! i feel she would find much more success in it than chujin did... not to say there wasn't any passion behind the axis project, but at that point chujins priority had shifted more towards his overambitious goal of protecting the underground from a seemingly imminent threat. the fact that he was clearly less inclined to this line of work than his peers did not and could not stop him. meanwhile i feel like kanako would have a more genuine pull towards robotics, the opportunity to create life out of metal and magic would fascinate her. two of her greatest strengths seem to be her creativity and her intellect, which would mix perfectly in this role.
she would love the opportunity to create something that could help others, especially. another defining trait of hers is how driven she is by a desire to make things right and help others: willingly taking part in chujins experiments shows her love not only for her family, but for all of monsterkind (+getting very tunnel-visioned w the idea of being their 'hero,' title soaked in blood etc etc), and the lengths she is willing to go to show this. obviously making helper bots would be a much healthier outlet for this trait than letting herself get injected with a dangerous serum, lol!
as for the kind of robots she would make, i could see her starting off pretty simple with a bot to help her family out w/ everyday duties, maybe a gardener bot to tend to chujin's garden? as she gets more confident in her abilities, she grows more ambitious, creating bots w much higher capabilities. Though her favourite part always remains giving them their own distinct personalities and forming bonds with them, treating them like family (just as I like to believe she would have done with axis if given the opportunity… kanako and axis friendship is real 2 ME!!!! I could go (and I have b4 lol) on a whole other rant abt how ceroba treats the steamworks robots and how chujin abandons axis once he’s ‘dangerous’, and how this contrasts to kanakos drawing of axis, depicting him exactly as she would in a drawing of a friend to hang on her wall. She would love all robots unconditionallyyyyyy okay)
uh fuck how do I conclude this.. um accept robotics nerd kanako into yuor hearts. that is all👍

My live Undertale Yellow reactions - Steamworks Edition
This music is banging
The way this random beef jerky from a washing machine is probably more safe to consume than half the items in the original game is wild
Yeah that randomly broken door surely won't come back to haunt us later
I don't trust these random-ass flowers
"Hey when did you last time bathe?" "I fell into a puddle" "Eh good enough" WHEEZE-
*Shadow moving in the background* I SAW THAT!
Oh great, robots. When are we running into the Allied models?
"My vocabulary is not expansive, ma'am"
The emotionless fall always gets me
*Building the robot* Can we make a duck?
Cool, I died to the first enemy of the area
My 0 sense of irl directions certainly isn't helping here
MO! MY MAN!
I love how you get special dialogue if you empty out his inventory every time
This random ass speaking broom of all things in this game is somehow the thing that caught me off guard
It's giving FNAF
"Robots cannot cry. I tried." Oh, yikes
*Cerona reflects the attack* Get fucked
THE WAY HE ROLLS AWAY
This game is going to ruin me emotionally ain't it?
*Talking to the Vending Machine* You want me to unplug you, motherfucker?
All these dialogues about Kanako just fill me with dread about the upcoming inevitable heartbreak
Oh that's a lot of white stuff
*Post Gardener* Why am I almost crying over this robot
*After beating Macro Froggit* I have conquered the frog

Duotale Red and Yellow
So au idea based on my UT Cyan & Orange post. The cast of the original undertale working or living along side the cast of yellow at the same time.
Frisk is Clover's deputy and their on a mission to find the other humans.
Toriel going down to the lower ruins to be neighborly with Dalv and them fighting together (not shipping them by the by)
Marlet working with Sans and Papyrus. In Neutral/Pacifist she fights alongside Papyrus and in genocide she fights alongside Sans
Chujin being Alphys' assistant or vice versa and hotland being filled not just with the usual suspect but also a few of the steamwork's robots.
Axis and Gardener can be Mettaton's killer costars and when its time to be ex or Neo they get new forms as well
Starlo working along side Undyne. In pacifist Starlo fights along side Undyne and in genocide Ceroba fights along side Undyne the undying
Ed fighting alongside greater dog
Mooch fighting over whose cooler with Monster Kid
Moray and Ace fighting alongside Mad Mew Mew for some reason I haven't figured out
The only duo I can't think of for is Asgore and Flowey/Asriel, but I think it's fine for Asgore as it makes him more intimidating. I mean for Asriel we could have twins god of hyperdeath with Kanako, but how do you spin that

Did you ever make an Axis and/or guardner design for if Undertale Yellow characters were in your AU (Sw!Fallenswap)? Also, I think the idea of this swap au Undyne and Kanako actually being buddies and working together unlike how Chujin and Alphys were competitors in UTY (or at least technically/indirectly competitors as they both wanted the royal scientist job) is cute, also I suppose it would make sense for Starlo to not react negatively if you destroy either of the robots like Ceroba would because Starlo probably won't have the same sentiment towards them and probably would value Clover's safety more than a machine.
I don't have one for Axis, didn't really have an idea for him but I did have one for Guardner, I gave Guardner (or in this AU Guard-N.E.R) 3 different bodies, one mobile version, a screen version and a mainframe computer version which changes depending on where you are in Steamworks, in the beginning and a few other areas, it's just the screen hanging from the ceiling or a wall and during the battle portion it's the main computer while other times like when you're getting chased it's the mobile body.
Also, I'm glad you like the idea, even if I didn't put too much thought into it since it isn't completely canon to the AU.
(3 different bodies)
Transcript: I SAID NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY.
(Guard-N.E.R and Starlo)
Transcript: if we end up destroying it, promise me not to tell Ceroba, she'll be mad.
To anyone who hasn't seen the previous post regarding this, here's the link to that:
But, what is relevant to know in this, (that may or may not have been mentioned in the orginal post) is...
Kanako and Undyne did get along during their time doing their internship, though they often have creative differences, they still collaborate together effectively.
Starlo doesn't like Guard-N.E.R, because he views the robot as a threat to Clover's wellbeing.
Guard-N.E.R is AI, it's not stated what her purpose really is besides being proof of learning but she is currently being used to protect/maintain the Steamworks.
Follow up dialogue to the above comic and dialogues of what happens if you spare or kill guardner that I don't know where to fit in this post but give useful information on this character are below the cut:
Follow-up dialogue to the mini comic of Kanako and Undyne presenting their creation:
Toriel: Gardener? As in one who tends a garden?
Undyne: no, it's Guard, like as in royal guard and NER which is an acronym for “Neuroelectrical Emulation Robot”
Kanako: It was originally going to be “Brain Emulation Robot” but Guard-Ber didn't sound as good.
Undyne: by using the technology and discoveries we have made in our research on mortal minds ever since we discovered living organisms 570 million years ago and the studies on brains we have made for the past 540 million years, I was able to use the technology one inventor made that transcribes brain functions into computer code and used it to replicate parts of the brain as computer software and hardware.
Kanako: We couldn't mimic EVERYTHING that a brain could do, and if we did we definitely didn't have the materials to do so
Undyne: So to save on material costs, we contacted the Neurology Center inside Hotland’s National Veterinary clinic to give us some insight on how the human brain works and what we don't need to incorporate into the robot as it won't serve any use. For example, we were able to cut out most of the limbic system and the hypothalamus
Kanako: In regards to data training, we have trained it on information of all volumes of Royal Guard HandBooks and Monstarian Law, so it knows every single protocol, code of conduct, law within our government and much more!
Dialogue that plays when you spare GUARD-N.E.R:
Guard-ner: MAYBE YOU ARE NOT SO BAD-
Starlo: *Tarzan Yell*
G-NER: WHAT IS THAT DREADED NOISE?
Starlo, swings into view using some sort of cable as a rope to swing on: EAT THE POWER OF MOMENTUM AND INERTIA!!
Starlo will end up colliding with the computer mainframe GUARD-N.E.R body and knocks it over the platform.
Starlo: Bullseye!! Now, I just need to figure out how to safely (*cable snaps and Starlo falls faceplants*) nevermind...
Dialogue that plays if you kill Guard-N.E.R:
GUARD-N.E.R: *BZIT-* ERROR. ERROR. SYSTEM DAMAGED. SENDING EMERGENCY SOS. PROCESSING. PROCESSING. TELE-COMS DOWN. ATTEMPTING TROUBLESHOOTING. TROUBLESHOOTING. TROUBLESHOOTING UNSUCCESSFUL.
Starlo, busting through guns ablazing: HOLD THOSE HANDS UP OUTLAW, I GOT YOU AT GUN POINT!!
G-N.E.R, lacking hands: CANNOT *BZIT-* PROCESS REQU- SHUTTING DOWN.
Starlo: huh, you already destroyed it, good job! But, cover your ears, I'm going to shoot it a couple times real quick to make sure it's actually destroyed and not playing a trick or something.
Clover: really, or is it your disdain for it
Starlo: Maybe a mix of both.

Oh my God I'm so sorry I didn't see your post before now, I hope you're feeling safer and more cheered up now-
If not, would a poem about Hiro help?
Growth is not
Something new.
It is as old as time
Or even older-
Some things started
Growing all the way
Back when,
And are still
Growing now
Hiro is no stranger
To growing things.
Little things,
Turning
Slightly less little
And slowly becoming
Bigger.
Thin vines
Used to grow
Through the
Spokes
On his wheels,
And moss patches would
Spread
Over the rust,
A living bandage
Over what does not
Organically heal
Before he was
Found,
He used to
Check on the little vine
Winding up
Around
His buffers-
How green it's leaves were,
How much taller it was
From yesterday.
Did last night's rains
Give it the
Water it needed?
Did bugs come
And chew away
At the leaves?
He can't garden it
Like a human might,
But he can watch
And wonder quietly
What it's like to grow.
And then,
Things change.
A small blue puff
Arrives,
Crashing
Through the silence.
The quiet is
No longer
Quite so empty.
And the blue engine,
Thomas,
Promises
To restore Hiro
To his former glory,
Promises to make him
"Master of the Railway
Once again!"
He comes back,
Again
And again,
With parts
For Hiro.
The plants around him
Are cleared away,
All but the vine
Around his buffers,
Which he insists
For it to stay
Until the very end.
When Thomas
Cannot come by,
His friends do
Instead,
And Hiro is never alone
For long.
Day by day,
His damaged parts
Are replaced
Or repaired
Until finally
Only one part
Is left to come.
But there is no time
To wait for it,
No time
To be patient.
Spencer comes
Close,
Too close,
And Thomas urges
Hiro to run
With him
Away from Spencer.
And so Hiro
Must steam
To follow Thomas.
But to move
Would damage
The little vine.
There is no time
To ask Thomas's
Crew to gently
Unwind it,
So break it
He must.
Moving forward
Stretches it taught-
Anchored
In the ground
And around his buffer,
It is strong
But he pulls
And breaks the vine
With simple ease-
A vine versus
A locomotive
Holds no chance,
In the end.
And Hiro chases
Away from Spencer,
Only it is in vain
In the end,
And he catches up
Anyway when
Hiro breaks down
Like he had
Broken the vine.
But for him,
He can be fixed.
He is taken
To the Steamworks,
Where he meets
Victor and Kevin,
Who,
With reassuring words,
Ease Hiro's worry.
He is safe.
He will be fixed.
And he will
Be Master of the Railway
Again.
His new friends
Are waiting
Outside the works
To see him emerge,
Feeling new in his
Glossy black paint,
Shining gold lining,
And bright red wheels.
Thomas had kept
His promise,
But he hadn't
Done it alone.
Spencer,
Stuck in the marsh,
Is rescued by Hiro,
And that is
Only the start
Of how useful
The Master of the Railway
Grows to be again,
In this new
Chapter of his life.
He goes and grows
And has grown,
From a young,
Energetic new-build
To far older
But still strong,
Still capable
Of seeing the world
With eyes that see
The wonder
In things.
He sees
The quiet beauty
Of natural places now,
Too,
Where the bustle of
Towns and
Well-used rails
Is just a faint whisper
In the breeze.
He's just not sure
If he can visit
These quiet places
Alone,
Quite yet,
But he does
Like to pass through
And see
What's grown
Since his last visit.
(Anon Orange)
/pos THANK YOUUU???? THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL,,,,

Undertale Yellow playthrough update as requested by Anon (spoilers below)
Steamworks: completed. I got past the Gardener and discovered more of Ceroba's past (Alphys, you job stealing fraud!). Axis was nearly impossible to for me to get past, I feel like I died at least 5 times to him. Fortunately, I completed the scarf quest while I was at Snowdin. So once I found out you could swap armor mid-fight, AND figured out how Axis's charged ball was basically a free turn, it was mostly smooth sailing from then on out.
Below: a sketch of the robot I made for Axis. Considering that over half the items I chose were by complete accident, I feel it came out good enough.
Ketsukane Estate: in progress? So I've seen Chujin's tapes now, and it's all but confirmed now that Kanako is now an amalgamate in Alphys's lab (Ceroba's gonna kill her when she finds out). I found another tape behind Chujin's grave which revealed that Axis killed the last human, and after fighting him, I believe it.
I lacked the funds to buy the Deltarune Patch, and I am currently stuck on Ceroba's first few attacks, HELP!!!

A gift arrived, Who sent this? What might It be?
Letter reads:
"..Dear Dalv,
I've been quite busy, too busy. Planning somethin' for..well, I won't say it. How's It goin'? How's Pops? I did have one of these for ya, back somewhere. I often use It but I got all the newer stuff for ya. Even improved the machine!
I have been anxious about sending another letter after soo long, but, I finally did it. To be honest..I missed sending and recieving your letters. That was cheesy, right? Too cheesy..
I hope ya like It, it's of your favourite colour. Also..I found this..I spoke to ya about the..type of garden we have in the Steamwork, right? I found a lavander growing there and..thought of giving It to ya.
Missed ya,
-Starlo"
(the gift was a sewing machine and some other sewing materials, the name Dalv written on the top of it.)
✩ ─── 「༻ ☪ ༺」─── ✩
We got it working! Although for future reference, your instruction manuals for putting machines together are not the best. Do you write with your opposite hand or something? We'll need to work on your handwriting for your next visit. Kidding, Kidding! Like usual. .. Pops did most of the thinking for me and managed to put it together with ease. Though do your friend a favor and maybe send it without any assembly required? Though knowing the state of UGPS these days, that's only wishful thinking. I don't even leave the Ruins and even I know about the tragic state of the underground's package transportation system. You don't need to be anxious about sending letters, Star. If it's your handwriting that's making you anxious, then that's fair, I'd be anxious too if I wrote like you did. -Kidding! That was the last one, I promise. .. I saw Pops give himself some safety glasses with marker yesterday.. I swear to the angels, Which each time you visit I feel as if he's getting even more geekier by the second. Eventually he might even surpass you.. and I didn't even know that was possible! Oh, who am I to judge? I play stringed instruments for a literal living.
Maybe the flowers will convince Pops to be a gardener instead. .. Your favorite artist,
☾ ⋆ ᗪᗩᒪᐯ.

tldr: this game is amazing from a visual and auditory standpoint!!! i really love the animation and details they put into this game, it was clearly a work of love and passion.
but the 2nd half of the pacifist run kinda rubs me off the wrong way... (explanation down below, warning!!! there will be spoilers)
like i said, i really enjoyed what the first half had to offer in my first stream & even first half of the second stream!!! i knew this was a prequel, i was ready to see what happened to the sixth human before they became a soul. i knew clover wasnt gonna live. i dont have a problem with the ending, or even the beginning. the intro really subverted my expectations, and i really loved the monster encounter bosses i ran into in the ruins & snowdin
and i was SO ready for cowboy times in the dunes!!! the dunes was a totally new place, i wanted to see how this game would diverge from undertale!!!!
and the first half of the dunes was really great!!! i loved the monster encounters, i loved the different obstacles set in your way (like the sandstorm or the mines)
thats where my problems are starting to lie though.... the monster encounters were becoming fewer and fewer as i went through the dunes, save for the mid boss or boss encounters. and those are great and fun and different, truly. but by the time i made it to the wild east, things were slowing down...
and like. i liked the feisty five & starlo, i understand why people love him. but the only encounters i ever had during that time that wasnt related to the test was the shooting portion, that time i fought the feisty four and starlo himself. i figured i wouldve had like a small fight with the bandit that was running out besides that train section, or there wouldve been more monster encounters between the oasis valley & the wild east. but there really werent as much as i remembered!!!
and then steamworks. i mostly liked steamworks. again, very different from hotland and very different area, and i was so excited to see all the new bots to encounter!!!
besides axis & gardener, there were only like. three different robot enemies. and they were very sparse. i thought i wouldve run into them more oftenly since its a shut down facility full of malfunctioning robots like axis & gardener, but i guess they didnt make as much robots in the robot factory???
and then came tonights stream. i was prepared for it to be the final stream for the pacifist route. i didnt expect how quickly things would pass by???
like, between axis & ceroba, there were no encounters. no obstacles. i expected like some stronger enemy variations to appear in hotlands or even the new home capital city, but there were nothing!!!
at least in undertale's pacifist route, they added stronger monster variants at the core & even that one section before meeting asgore where all the monsters would congratulate & encourage you for asgore's encounter. but here??? nothing!! there weren't many encounters in the way between wild east & oasis valley. in hotland, i didnt expect there to be Too Many monster encounters, but in new home??? i expected. something before the final encounter with ceroba. but nothing!!! maybe i had to explore it more, but the game wanted me to follow and find ceroba. so there were just. areas and Areas And Areas And Areas with nothing but saves & plot!!!
like, you couldnt add in One Extra Monster Encounter??? Maybe Even Two In Between Axis & Ceroba??? Really???
maybe i gotta play through the neutral & revenge routes to get more encounters out of this game, i'm scrolling through the wiki & i found out that there Were more monster encounters i missed!! either because they have a very high encounter rate, were straight up secret extra bosses, or could only appear in the other routes. but ig i expected there to be more varied monster encounters in the second half of the pacifist route.
the monster encounters in the dark ruins & snowdin were That Good and Memorable, ig i expected there'd be more in the dunes & steamworks. but ig there wasnt??? and that kinda disappointed me
hm, i think the more i sit down and stew on this, i think undertale yellow is starting to lose me...
#rubys clown thoughts#uty spoilers#maybe if i finish my secret santa gift tomorrow early i'll hold another undertale yellow stream where i start the neutral route#i cant stream too late tomorrow night because im getting my haircut possibly on saturday or sunday#& then after that i have a family thing i have to show up for on sunday. i should be free after that... but we'll see
