The Movement of the Strange Prince Phillip of England
When you think of the "Royal Family" of England, who comes to mind? Queen Elizabeth, her son-Prince Charles, his sons-Prince William, and Harry, or their deceased mother-Diana? But the one "royal" you may not immediately recognize is Queen Elizabeth's husband and consort - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Photos that have been taken of the royals have usually included every member
Even Prince Phillip who sits or stands next to the Queen. He's the one the press almost never mentions in the tabloids - the royal "black sheep." But don't tell that to the inhabitants of the tiny Yaohnanen village of the island of Tanna, located in the South Pacific. For them, Prince Phillip is literally a god. This strange cult is called the "Prince Phillip Movement." In 1974, Queen Elizabeth and Phillip visited Tanna. Members of the Yaohnanen saw the royal couple from a distance. At that point, they remembered a prophecy that probably developed in the 1950's or 1960's. According to legend, the Yaohnanen inhabitants believe Prince Phillip is descended from one of their spiritual ancestors who traveled around the world to marry a queen. However, Phillip himself was unaware of this tribe and their strange beliefs until later; the British Resident Commissioner told him that this tribe worshipped him as a god and explained why. As high as he was in status among British society, even Phillip was likely extremely surprised, even amused by this odd news. The Commissioner suggested to Prince Philip that he send them a portrait of himself. He agreed and sent a signed official photograph. The villagers responded by sending him a traditional pig-killing club called a nal-nal. In compliance with their request, the Prince sent a photograph of himself posing with the club. Another photograph was sent in 2000.
Although this primitive tribe doesn't have electricity or running water
They take great care of these items and built a shrine to the "great" Phillip. They even own a book about Phillip's life and revere it as if it were a Bible. Their shrine is also decorated with a Union Jack flag. According to the Yaohnanen people, Phillip's return to the island is imminent. Some are convinced the cyclone that ravaged the Pacific nation in March was nature's dramatic curtain-raiser to his arrival in 2016. As far as anyone knows, Phillip is not planning to visit his "disciples" anytime soon. The villagers understand that "God" is over 90 years old and might not endure the journey. For the time being, their shrine enables them to be as close to Phillip as they can be. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com Click to Post

Packing It All In: The Best Ways To Travel Without Much Trouble
Packing It All In: The Best Ways To Travel Without Much Trouble
With many travel guides out there, it can be difficult to find what you need from the thousands of guidebooks, advice, and brochures. Luckily, this article has the advice to assist you in having a great trip.
Use an ATM
When you are in a distant country. Banks will get better rates for exchanging currencies than you would be able to get. This can save you a ton. If your travel destination requires you to be vaccinated, be sure to take along verifications of your shots. You might need to show it upon entering and exiting the country, and also when moving between cities. If you do not have the proper paperwork, those who handle travelers will simply not be allowed to let you pass a certain point and at this stage, you will be held for what could be days until they know for sure you are not a threat to spread an illness.
If your destination requires some vaccinations:
Carry the certificate you get that says you've gotten the treatments. You might need to show it upon entering and exiting the country, and also when moving between cities. If you don't have this certificate, authorities may quarantine you and prevent you from traveling.
Once you know where you're traveling:
You can take some time to learn about where you plan to go. Buy a comprehensive map of where you are going, study the environment, and research the attractions being offered there. It will be easier for you to get around when you know about the area. Most automobile rental companies require the minimum age to be at least 18 years old, and in some cases, it might be 25. You may also need to bring a credit card with you. Some cities do not allow senior citizens to rent cars. Find out about age issues before you arrive.
When going on a long trip
Pack a raincoat with a lining. You never know what the weather has in store for you. Not only that, but a rain slicker can serve as a windbreaker when it gets cool, and possibly a bath robe if you need one at the hotel.
If you plan to travel abroad:
Find out ahead of time whether you will need a visa to be allowed into any of the countries you will visit. Since obtaining a visa can be a time-consuming process, try to do this well before your travel date. Unless you have the correct visa, you may not be able to enter certain countries. Use services that are environmentally friendly to have an ecologically responsible trip. Lots of hotels offer linen reuse options, use energy-saving lights and take part in recycling programs. Staying green will help you feel good about your traveling experience.
Get involved with travel websites and forums:
A great way to prepare for any trip is to socialize on these forums and ask questions and read stories from other travelers. This will help you gain new friends and prevent you from repeating the mistakes made by others or overlooking an unknown gem during your vacation. If you will be using traveler's checks, try to cash them before heading out to go shopping or to dine. Traveler's checks can be a pain to work with. Be safe and make sure you get local currency before buying so that you don't get shorted.
When taking a road trip with a little kid:
Taking breaks every couple hours when on the road can help. Breaks give you the chance to stretch out and go to the bathroom. Also, you should have everyone leave the car so that they do not get sick. Though you may be traveling longer, your stress will be reduced. Now that you know what to do, all you have to do is decide on where to go, pack your bags and head off on your next adventure. Take along your camera to capture your memories. Click to Post

The Family Guide to Traveling on a Budget
Traveling on a Budget
Traveling on a Budget isn't a secret. the family holidays are more expensive than ever. No matter how much you save up, there always seems to be a few unexpected costs here and there which threaten to take the sunshine out of your getaway. What with enough sun cream for the whole family, travel insurance, and baggage costs, it all adds up. All is not lost, though – we’ve gathered some tried-and-tested tips from parents who’ve managed to make their holiday successful and affordable. It’s a word that strikes boredom into the heart of every parent, but Traveling on a Budget is your main weapon when fighting the evils of hidden travel costs. Set yourselves a limit on spending each day – be realistic, and DON’T go over it. You’ll be thankful for all those spreadsheets and calculations when you’ve still got enough money to get a taxi home from the airport at the end of the holiday.
Do Your Research
Do your research to get travel costs down. Use flight comparison sites to find the best deals, use budget airlines to fly to just outside the place you’re traveling to, or just forego air travel altogether. Can you get a ferry to your destinations? A bus? Train? It might not be as easy, but it’ll be a lot cheaper. When you’re there, try to get around by walking instead of using the public transport. You’ll see and discover a whole multitude of things you wouldn’t have otherwise known existed.
Shop Savvy
Accommodation-wise, a lot of families benefit from all-inclusive deals, where your food and drink is included in the price of where you’re staying. Booking in advance can also save you some pennies, or on the other end of the spectrum, last minute booking can often get you a reasonable price cut. If you really want to slash the budget, camping can be an amazing family bonding experience. Some hostels will allow you to camp in their grounds and use their facilities for a small fee. Food usually the biggest temptation to spend whilst on holiday, but it’s possible to have great meals without splashing out. Take a mini stove with you for on-the-go hot meals, use local supermarkets, eat street food to save the cost of using a table and chair, and share meals in restaurants
Some Other Tips for Traveling on a Budget:
You don’t have to spend money to have fun. Ask at Tourist Information for free walking tours, go to beaches, to parks and to museums with free entry. Supermarket loyalty cards often offer discounts on flights and attractions in exchange for points. Stock up and take advantage! Get low-cost family travel insurance. InsureMore offers cheap, comprehensive cover with a range of different packages tailored to your needs. Plus, kids go free! Click to Post

Climb If You Dare: 5 Most Dangerous Mountains on Earth
5 Most Dangerous Mountains on Earth. Mountaineering is a fun outdoor activity, but not something that all people can attempt. However, if you’re a true climber, nothing is fulfilling as reaching the summit of the highest mountains. Unfortunately, fun isn’t something that you’ll get all the time. It’s a risky affair. There are some dangerous mountains in the world that even the most experienced climbers fear. This post will cover some of the deadliest mountains that are known for their high fatality rates and accidents.
1. Mont Blanc Massif
This is the tallest mountain in the Alpine range, measuring about 15,782 ft. Climbers die on this mountain every year due to rock slides and high altitude. This makes it the mountain with the highest number of fatalities. Mont Black causes about 100 deaths every year. Over 6,000 climbers have died on it. The first successful climb was in 1786. However, the mountain is also popular because President Theodore Roosevelt reached its top in 1886.
2. Annapurna
Boasting a height of 26,246 feet, Nepal’s Annapurna has one of the tallest peaks that attracts climbers from everywhere. About 191 people have successfully climbed this mountain since 1950. 60 people have already died in an effort to reach the summit of Annapurna. Of all the mountains with 8,000-meter peaks, Annapurna is regarded as the most dangerous with a fatality rate of 41 percent.
3. K2
K2 is the second-highest mountain in the world. It’s easy to climb Kilimanjaro, but that’s not the case with K2 as climbers consider it one of the most difficult. Even on the easier routes, climbers encounter ice pillars that prone to collapse, steep areas of rock, and complicated glaciers. This mountain is found on the border of China and Pakistan. It measures 28,251 feet. K2 has a nasty reputation with female climbers — to the point that it’s thought to have a curse against women. Wanda Rutkiewicz, a Polish climber, was the first woman to reach K2’s summit in 1986. All the five women that attempted to climb it again since that year died. It wasn’t until 2004 when Spanish mountaineer Edurne Pasaban successfully reached the summit.
4. Nanga Parbat
This mountain is popularly known as the Man Eater and has a height of 26,657 ft. Nanga Parbat is located in Pakistan. It features an enormous ridge of ice and rock. It’s the ninth highest mountain in the world and has the tallest mountain face. It was popular with the German climbers because K2 was difficult to climb and only the Britons had access to Everest. Several deaths occurred on this mountain before the first successful attempt in 1953. By 1953, Nanga Parbat had already claimed the lives of 31 climbers.
5. Kangchenjunga
Positioned on the border of India and Nepal, Kangchenjunga has a height of 28,169 ft. It’s a beautiful mountain, but looks can be deceiving. Extreme cold levels and avalanches have made Kangchenjunga one of the most dangerous mountains. The first attempt was in 1853, but the climbers descended after determining the summit was unsafe. Over the years, this mountain has claimed the lives of 53 climbers.
Dangerous Mountains – The Bottom Line
To pull a mountain climbing expedition, it’s important to prepare for it adequately to minimize the possibility of accidents. Experienced climbers understand that there are risks. However, when the conditions are favorable and safety measures are taken, hitting the summit is the only task at hand. These cases should not scare you. There are different easy mountains, such as Mount Fuji, Pikes Peak, Mount Hood, and Island Peak, you can try if you are new to mountain climbing. Click to Post
