You ever think about what an impossible situation this was? If they walk away, people will die, because the Jedi are the best option to save those lives, but every time more Jedi die and they have fewer and fewer options, it really was no good options for a way out. (Star Wars: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade | Delilah S. Dawson)

The Jane Austen Society (by Natalie Jenner)
& also
The Black Swan of Paris (by Karen Robards)
& also
The Blonde Identity (by Ally Carter)
& also
The Titanic Survivors Book Club (by Timothy Schaffert).
Sorry, I tend to juggle books, especially as I read a lot of historical fiction set either during or fairly close to WWI (as doing so helps keep me from wanting to commit mass murder). There'd be a SW book on this list, too, except I just finished reading the frankly awful Star Wars: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade (by Delilah S. Dawson, who very clearly has NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what Jedi actually are/do/believe in, given how badly she writes them) earlier today.
If you see this you’re legally obligated to reblog and tag with the book you’re currently reading

I'm on the dawn of reading Star Wars for two years (starting 2023) and I've read nearly 30 books from different periods and both Canon and Legends.
I'd like to pass my opinions and feelings about these books and I'm hoping this will serve as a place to express an opinion without getting some backlash for it. So I will be starting with some of my oldest reads and catching up with some of my favourites.
2023 - Reading Order:
Ahsoka (E. K. Johnston)
Aftermath (Chuck Wendig)
Heir to the Empire (Timothy Zahn)
Dark Disciple (Christie Golden)
Dark Force Rising (Timothy Zahn)
The Last Command (Timothy Zahn)
Jedi Search (Kevin J. Anderson)
Dark Apprentice (Kevin J. Anderson)
Champions of the Force (Kevin J. Anderson)
The High Republic: Light of the Jedi (Charles Soule)
2024 - Reading Order:
Revenge of the Sith (Matthew Stover)
Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade (Delilah S. Dawson)
Shadow of the Sith (Adam Christopher)
Specter of the Past (Timothy Zahn)
Vision of the Future (Timothy Zahn)
I, Jedi (Michael A. Stackpole)
Darth Bane: Path of Destruction (Drew Karpyshyn)
Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising (Timothy Zahn)
Darth Bane: Rule of Two (Drew Karpyshyn)
Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good (Timothy Zahn)
Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil (Drew Karpyshyn)
Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil (Timothy Zahn)
Darth Plaugeis (James Luceno)
New Jedi Order: Vector Prime (R. A. Salvatore)
New Jedi Order: Dark Tide 1: Onslaught (Michael A. Stackpole)
2025 - Reading Order (So Far):
The Phantom Menace (Terry Brooks)
New Jedi Order: Dark Tide 2: Ruin (Michael A. Stackpole)
Leia: Princess of Alderaan (Claudia Gray)
Padawan (Kierstan White)
Into the Dark (Claudia Gray) (On Going)
Obviously this list is growing, but to set the scene, this is what I'm up to. Hopefully this might spark some people's interests through books they love and what others take from them, but I look forward to passing my thoughts off in the near future!
May the Force be with you!

Star Wars Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade by Delilah S. Dawson Review
Before I start, I’d like to thank the lovely folks at Del Rey Publishing for sending a review copy of this book. After two amazing novels set in the Star Wars Galaxy, Delilah S. Dawson returns with another triumphant story that introduces us to an amazing character, built upon the look of one of the Inquisitors featured in Charles Soule’s ‘Darth Vader’ comics run. Like Dawson’s previous Star…

Book Review: 'Star Wars: Inquisitor Rise of the Red Blade' by Delilah S. Dawson
Star Wars: Inquisitor Rise of the Red Blade by Delilah S. Dawson is the newest addition to the Star Wars library. I have been looking forward to this book for months and it did not disappoint. It covers my favorite time period in Star Wars, the prequels and post-Order 66. Dawson did a fantastic job weaving Iskat’s story into the existing world. While we see Iskat live at the Temple her…

18th July sees the release of Star Wars Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade and Inkstone Books give you the opportunity to pre-order one of just 500 signed and numbered UK first editions of the Delilah S. Dawson novel. Don't sit on this too long, as these editions are sure to fly off the shelves fast. Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade (Star Wars) When the Jedi Order falls, an Inquisitor Rises. Padawan Iskat Akaris has dedicated her life to traveling the galaxy alongside her master, learning the ways of the Force to become a good Jedi. Despite Iskat’s dedication, peace and control have remained elusive, and with each setback, she feels her fellow Jedi grow more distrustful of her. Already uncertain about her future in the Jedi Order, Iskat faces tragedy when her master is killed and the Clone Wars engulf the galaxy in chaos. Now a general on the front lines contributing to that chaos, she is often reminded: Trust in your training. Trust in the wisdom of the Council. Trust in the Force. Yet as the shadows of doubt take hold, Iskat begins to ask questions that no Jedi is supposed to ask: Questions about her own unknown past. Questions the Jedi Masters would consider dangerous. As the years pass and the war endures, Iskat’s faith in the Jedi wanes. If they would grant her more freedom, she is certain she could do more to protect the galaxy. If they would trust her with more knowledge, she could finally cast aside the shadows that have begun to consume her. When the Jedi Order finally falls, Iskat seizes the chance to forge a path of her own. She embraces the salvation of Order 66. As an Inquisitor, Iskat finds the freedom she has always craved: to question, to want. And with each strike of her red blade, Iskat moves closer to claiming her new destiny in the Force—whatever the cost. By Delilah S. Dawson First UK Edition, First Printing Signed & Numbered Limited to 500 numbered copies £22.00 Plus Shipping [amazon box="1302952315"]
