I know I'm being a bit of a hater here, but I'm seeing folks going "OMG, Spirk is canon!" over 765874 - Unification, and then I watch it myself and I'm like... that's it? Yeah, it's a well-produced bit of fluff from a technical standpoint, but there were gayer moments in the Original Series, and if your intention is to celebrate a ship, "somewhat less gay than a TV show from 1966" is not an ambitious target!

I understand yall are upset about the company using AI and Nimoy's likeness being used, but this is such a monumental moment in Trek history. The Nimoy estate gave consent, and I don't believe AI was used in the movie itself. Even if it was, it's a beautiful movie.
The timeline is messed up because it's Star Trek. Some of you need to spend a day in the Doctor Who fandom. You'd go mad.
In any case, I loved Unification, and I'm glad I'm in a time where I got to see Spirk become canon.

Star Trek: Prodigy and Picard set the stage for future adventures for Wesley Crusher, potentially in upcoming Trek shows. I could see a spinoff for the character similar in tone to Doctor Who, and with Russell T. Davies making nods to Trek in his Disney+ series, now might be the perfect time for that show. I'm all for more Wesley in the future, so maybe some Trek creatives can put their heads together again and figure out a way for that to happen. Star Trek: Prodigy is available to watch right now on Netflix. Stream it now so that fans can see Season 3 happen, and maybe even tell a friend to watch as well so we can all have great sci-fi animated adventures in the future.
How Star Trek: Prodigy And Picard Collaborated To Bring Back One Of Star Trek’s Biggest 'Abandoned' Characters
For the record, I would absolutely do this.

One thing that kind of annoys me about how Garak is often characterised by the Deep Space Nine fandom is like "he's such a cringey loser, but in spite of that it turns out he really is the badass superspy he affects to be, What A Twist". It's not in spite of: it's because of. That it's impossible to possess the skill set he possesses and be a functional person is literally the thesis of his character.

I love how the scene of Jim slutting himself for the mission instantly cuts to worried Spock, lmao

I remember somebody saying that Kirk is basically the bard of the group and I think it's really accurate. He uses his maxed-out charisma to whore himself all over beautiful women just to get the information he needs.
Too bad he usually leaves Spock, or anyone really, out of these plans and makes him worried. Poor pookie.
