It's Fishing For Treasures weekend here at the Pond, and this month we're celebrating Gen Fics!! Our queue this weekend is full of fics without porn. No smut here! Just wholesome fluff, angst, and at most, implied smut. Celebrating the little joys in life! Or maybe the little angtsy feels that make you want to crawl under your desk and ugly cry. Here's a gif that feels fluffy until you realize how many times Dean died in this episode and how it crushed Sam's spirit. 🤣

Secret Santa Fic Exchange - Signups have closed, so now it's down to Michelle and Marie to match people up. Well, it's down to Michelle to study the list like that guy with the corkboard full of red string and to Marie to keep telling Michelle, "You're making this way harder than it needs to be, I think." 🤣 Either way, we'll have everyone matched up in a few days, and then someone will contact everyone on the list with their person. FYI - Matches will not be reciprocal, so the person you get will not be the person who has you unless you both require the same rarest of rare pairs. 🤣

New Business:

Manta Ray chats in the Discord server - There will be THREE chats in the server this week! On Monday, Laili will be chatting from noon to 1pm EST, followed by Arthur from 1pm to 3pm EST. Then, on Wednesday, Admin MJ will be hanging out at 7:30pm EST!

SPN Rewatch: FanFic Edition - Next Saturday at 5pm EST will be the next rewatch chat! We will be discussing episodes 3.11 Mystery Spot and 3.12 Jus in Bello. These are some pivotal scenes in season three, so I'm sure we're going to have a ton to talk about!!

Jason Manns on Stageit - Jason will be performing online on Stageit on Tuesday at 11am EST! This is his first online show in a very long time, so it's a must-see. (Admin Michelle has an appointment at that time, so will not be seeing it, and the FOMO is real, guys.)

I'm hoping that *maybe* they'll switch up the set list a little and play Restless Man. That was the ONLY thing "wrong" with tonight's show. I LOVE that song, it's one of my favourites, so I was a little sad they didn't play it. But otherwise it was another phenomenal show!! 😍😍

Oh hey anon! Thank you for the song rec. I listened to two versions of it. And remembered vaguely reading something about what the lyrics suggested. It was probably STT or SPN Goss that talked about J2 going through a rough patch early on. And Jensen trying to encapsulate his tumultuous feelings in a song! I wish I had saved that stuff.

That said, I LOVE Jensen's harmonizing in this StageIt concert at FBBC in 2018. His beautiful high voice comes through more clearly in this version 💗
