Stag beetle sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing. My sketches start life as hand-drawn graphite images made on cartridge paper. We should really appreciate the variety in pupae more.

Like, here we have flies doing the absolute bare minimum. It's just a pod. Fly grows inside a pod, that's it.

Butterfly chrysalises seem to have the same minimalism...but then you look closely, and can see the future butterfly parts are all outlined.

And then you have beetles just making a whole balloon animal shape to grow into.

I was asked to draw a DND character a different class!

On the left Carmiña Escornabois, Moon druid.

On the right her alter ego, Carmiña Escornabois, artificier

This would be such a big change, since being a druid is a big part of who she is. For starters, as a circle-less and mentor-less druid, she would have never made the mistakes that made her end up stuck with bird legs and "horns" (not horsn, but stagbeetle mandibles)
