Thoughts on 3x11?

i really loved it! i didn’t really have any major issues and i loved a lot of the scenes, particularly the malec scenes. i also loved that magnus got so many scenes in general!

some episode highlights:

- the return of chaotic lesbian clary fray when she just runs out into the freezing cold with zero planning. also: the return of clary “stabby stab stab” fray

- domestic malec! malec as uncles! madzie making her own nightlight and magnus doing those lil crocodile jaws at her! alec reading her a goodnight story! ugh so cute

- “so i can’t kiss my boyfriend?” “oh you know how we get”

- alec comforting and uplifting magnus even when magnus tries to shut him out, alec’s gotten so good at emotional care and i’m so proud of how far he’s come :’) like, him telling magnus it’s okay to let other people help you??? season 1 alec can NOT relate. also: the hint about next week’s training session has me all  👀✍️

- speaking of alec, i loved the scene of him talking some damn sense into jace. and i really liked jace in general this ep! i’ve always loved him but tbh more fanon jace than what’s there in the actual show, so it’s nice to see him be more like how i envision him

- izzy and jace’s scene with the knife broke me, it was so emotional and i really loved it

- magnus wielding a sword, i repeat, MAGNUS WIELDING A SWORD!!!!

- the magnus flashbacks, him fighting iris and giving her That Look, the fact that his memory of the omamori is what pushes her out of his mind….. ugh poetic cinema

- i also really liked the jace/luke scene, i wish luke got more screen time and specifically that he had someone to grieve with but i loved that little scene bc jace is so soft and gentle in the face of luke’s frantic grief and it was just a really nice moment for him

- the seeds being planted for izzy’s clave storyline!!!! i can’t WAIT to see where they go with it and i’m so happy she’s finally being given a major storyline

- i also loved just seeing my girl maia again, i’ve missed her so much and yeah i’m worried about how they’re gonna handle her and simon’s relationship but she was incredible as always this ep and she’s way too understanding and kind when she doesn’t have to be and i just love her a whole lot!

In A03, you should be able to give more than one collective kudos. Like if I read 5 chapters and I give a kudos, I want the author to know that I indeed enjoyed all 5 chapters. So they should get 5.

As an A03 writer, I in turn would like to know out of my 14 chapters so far, which chapter has been enjoyed the most—which has received the most kudos? Which has been given the least?
