Squid Game Season 2 New Cast and New Games Netflix
youtube
The good news – announced by Netflix via Twitter on June 12, 2022 – was accompanied by a teaser video featuring Young-hee, the show's infamous giant killer robot doll, as the number 2 flickers in her robot eye while her distinctive song plays in the background.
And for today's multiplayer news, we've got some kits:
First off, there's the Custom Explosher, with Splash Wall and Triple Splashdown like we saw in the Season reveal trailer.
...man. I'd already made my peace with that kit, but it still hurts to say it a little bit. I do like the new color though!
There's also the Custom E-Liter 4K, with Squid Beakon and Kraken Royale. Naturally it also comes in a scoped variant with the same kit.
And with that we've most likely seen all of the kits in this Season. Why do I say that? Because SplatoonJP also revealed all of the Tableturf cards in this season!
In addition to all of the new weapons, there's cards for Agent 8, Pearl and Marina, Acht, Cipher, and.... hey, wait a minute. Why are the Splatoon 2 shopkeepers getting cards? They're not in the game!
For 2023, Star Wars Celebration was held in London, England, part of Europe. Fans had a blast, whether they actually attended in person wearing cosplay or just regular clothes, or tuned into the live broadcasts on the Star Wars Youtube channel. Like last year in 2022, there were a lot of surprises and awesome guests, but 2023 had a lot of special moments and emotional responses. The hosts of each panel also need some appreciation, I loved the energy and relatable moods they brought to each day. In this post, I’ll recap some of the amazing highlights of each celebration day, and share my thoughts on the panels I attended while tuning into the lives at home.
Starting off with Day 1, the excitement was at the top-level. Considering it was in London, the live started at 5 AM for me where I live. So I definitely did not get any sleep, but it was worth it. The Ahsoka series got the most recognition of the day with the teaser trailer dropping to all the fans. I woke up to the trailer being posted and immediately watched it, trying not to scream so loudly. Rebels fans were truly getting fed with the new live-action debuts of Hera, Sabine, Ezra, Thrawn, and Chopper. The Acolyte cast were given introductions, and I had no idea that a star from Squid Game (Lee Jung-jae) was going to be in it. I’m really excited to see more of this show. The Making of Andor was discussed with a few of the cast members and creators there, and Diego Luna really highlighted what Andor means to a personal level. Season 2 is in the making, and that will be something worth looking forward to. The next Star Wars films were also announced, and Dave Filoni’s directing one??? Let’s see what he has in store for us.
Day 2 included just as much fun as the first day had. There were more discussions on the Ahsoka characters, and Lars Mikkelsen IS PLAYING THRAWN?! Definitely a good live-action casting choice. Ming-Na Wen came to celebration to host the panel celebrating 40 years of Return of the Jedi, looking back at the characters and how that movie’s plot set up a lot of iconic memories. She also came to an interview to discuss her character, Fennec Shand, and how she is a “badass”. Andy Serkis came to the stage and certainly incited a powerful audience (”ONE WAY OUT!”). It’s unbelievable how it’s already been 15 years of The Clone Wars, with Matt Lanter, James Arnold Taylor, and Ashley Eckstein looking back at the legacy of all of it. Ian McDarmid served the iconic laughter of Palpatine, and Anthony Daniels arrived with his usual charm that makes C-3PO lovable, and got to meet one of his droid fans. Billy Dee William’s charm is irresistible, and we love to see Star Wars authors getting recognition.
In Day 3, there was a lot more looking back to look forward to. Starting off with the panel celebrating a few of the villains of the Sequels-Phasma, Snoke, and Palpatine-it was interesting to hear their perspectives. Cameron Monaghan served his look on the stage while rocking a poncho, and we love to hear the discussions about ponchos. He even gave it to a cosplaying fan, which was so sweet. Discussing “Jedi Survivor”, the sequel to “Jedi: Fallen Order”, there’s a lot more action to look forward to in the next game. Vivien Lyra Blair is just too adorable, and we have to agree with Hayden Christhansen; “This is where the fun begins” is one of the best Anakin lines. Along with Ewan McGregor and a few other cast members and creators, the team looks back at the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, getting nostalgia between the relationship of Obi-Wan and Anakin.
And finally, Day 4 was sad as it was to be the last day of celebration, but the energy was extra hyped this day. This day was filled with content of The Bad Batch, and we love to see everyone fangirling over Dee Bradley Baker performing the voices of a few clones. (Tech and Phee are canon now after they talked about it, you can’t change my mind.) Michelle Ang is so pure at heart, and we love to hear her takes on Omega and having her grow up a bit. The fact that Season 3 will be the last Bad Batch season is saddening, there’s still so much to discover. Ashley Eckstein is truly such a kind human being, and we love to see her giving the Ahsoka recognition that is truly deserved. A second season of Tales of the Jedi was announced, and we will be getting a Volume 2 of Star Wars: Visions, and I am in love with the animation. The fact that the studio who produced the film “Wolfwalkers” is getting to create a short in this makes me happy. Listen, Nubs, that little jedi from that upcoming Disney Junior show, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, is so CUTE! The closing ceremony was filled with a lot of emotions, but we can’t wait until the next celebration to see everyone again. Star Wars Celebration is truly home.
My first celebration was back in 2022, and I had attended that one through the lives at home as well. Whenever I sit down to attend the live streams, I really feel like I’m there at celebration, and I have tons of fun every time. Let’s look forward to enjoying ourselves again in 2025 in Japan!
I was just scrolling through your otps list and I found this one gif that you posted of papi and angel. My first thought was 'is that dev Patel?' Then I realized that it's not. And then I saw the dude in one of your posts. My immediate reaction was 'WHO DAT HE CUTE?' I have never responded to any character like this. So I went to the show. I didn't watch it yet. But now I'm interested in the shows plot after the trailer and reading the synopsis.
Is it worth watching? Meaning does the show get worse with time? Or better? Or is it just good all over? And one of the important part:
Does papi actually appear a lot? Or is it like squid game where I had to watch all episodes just to see gong yoo twice not even for 15 minutes.
i will forever be salty that that anon tricked me into watching squid game for gong yoo (but also well played).
and yay papi appreciation! papi is smooth AF, i appreciated it. and had fun doing some vids

i think pose is definitely worth watching because it's an important show, it's not a perfect show but it's a show with a lot of heart and it instigated a lot of conversation. there is a particular scene in the season 1 finale that is one of my favourite scenes for a tv's season finale. papi gets more screentime in seasons 2 and 3. truthfully, i fell off pose in season 3 but that doesn't mean that it's not worth watching.
--Succession obviously deserves every nom (and ideally every win) it gets. The writers kill it on that show, the actors kill it on that show... It has an embarrassment of riches. That said, I'd really love for Matthew McFadyen to get his just rewards. Kieran is great too! Honestly, so is Nicholas. But Matthew is consistently fantastic and s3 was a showcase for him.
--Severance is one of those shows where nobody you know watches it and those that do seem kinda bored with it but it gets noms and you idly wonder if you should watch but know you probably won't because it sounds dry. I've not seen a minute of it, idk if it's dry, but it's not motivating me to watch with the promo or buzz or trailer.
--Yellowjackets getting nommed was a pleasant surprise!!! I thought it was too daring for the Emmys, tbh. Melanie Lynskey deserves, but tbh I'd knock.... several of those Best Lead Actress in A dDramas noms aside...
-NICK AND ELLE GOT A NOM FOR THE GREAT I AM SO HAPPY!!!! They give consistently amazing work on that show and season 2 was killer, very deserved for both.
--Lmao of course Sebastian and Lily got nominated, stay mad, they deserve it.
--Of course Colin and Toni got nominated.
--Fucking wild that Julia Garner got nominated for that disaster bomb of a performance when Jessica Chastain did not get nominated, but I'm guessing that depending on the timing either the likelihood of her winning at the Oscars or the win itself killed that for her. The Limited Series Lead Actress category is stacked, and it's honestly borderline hysterical to me that Julia is up against the likes of... literally everyone else in that category. They're all deserving... aside from her.
--Amanda Seyfried got nommed for her thrilling dances on The Dropout and honestly? Deserved.
--Sarah Paulson got nominated for crushing it in a hit or miss series simply because of the way she said "MONICA" when picking up the phone. Deserved.
--Happy for the Abbott Elementary and Squid Game noms.
--Still don't know why Ted Lasso keeps dominating when it's just kinda there.
--Only Murders in the Building..... Like that show would've been fine if it was Short and Martin with any other actress, but God Selena's dead line readings and total lack of enthusiasm for anything destroyed it.
--Lol I'm kinda incredibly shocked that Alexandra Daddario got a nom for White Lotus. Like she wasn't horrible but she was kinda just there? Connie Britton also was kinda there, but she's Connie, so she gets noms for being there. Which, fair. Natasha and Jennifer obviously deserved their noms even though I'm super mixed on that show.
--Sydney Sweeney being double nommed is great for her!!! Kinda unexpected but great.
--I did not expect Sanaa to get nominated based off how little time she had on Succession, but I'm glad she did get it.
--Lol same with Askars? He's great but so little time. Succession just gets you in there I guess.
--Sooooo disappointed with OFMD being snubbed, but it's not surprising. HBO uses that show for woke points but doesn't value it or promote it properly at all.
these are my predictions for the side order dlc coming in spring so far, a lot of them are wacky now im looking back pffft
[x] means pretty much confirmed
[ ] not confirmed
after announced predictions:
- [x] the entire story campaign is different levels in the elevator
- [x] robots have some involvement, probably octarian tech. ( maybe marina is making machines?? )
- [ ] lil jud is there, but i dunno what purpose he would be there for
- [ ] marinas maybe brainwashed or she is the villain some how and you and pearl have to get to the top of the tower or below the tower ( absence of cuttlefish, maybe agent 3 is there with 8 after having saved them )
- [ ] the start is very simular to octo expansion but instead of cuttlefish your awoken by pearl ( mistaken you for marina?? ) - looking back this ones a stretch but still have no clue could happen
- [ ] pearl is trying to find marina maybe?
- [ ] agent 8 is helping restore chaos to inkopolis and the earth/ galaxy ( galaxy/solar system as of the mentions of space in the main storymode campaign )
- [ ] once chaos is restored, pearl and marina return back to inkopolis square and everything is back to normal with modern influences from the new railway from splatsville and inkopolis
- [ ] a simular memcake system to octo expansion but with something else, but you are rewarded memories of inkopolis square for every inch of turf you cover in your ink/chaos
- [ ] theres gonna be a final splatfest at the end of next year ( 2024 ) and pearl and marina are hosting it, maybe the other idols?? but the game isnt over and it is still going to be active and maybe splatfests and seasons now and then maybe to keep the playerbase interested, deep cut or off the hook are continuing the news and splatcasts
- [ ] off the hook + deep cut + squid sisters final concert with final songs and iconic splatoon songs like calamari inkantation ( and or spicy ) and ebb and flow/fly octo fly. anarchy rainbow??
- [ ] nintendo does a big send off but doesn’t release or make anything splatoon related except maybe one or two pieces of merch prior to the send off, pretty boring but theres still people actively enjoying splatoon with maybe song performing videos of new songs ( delayed ) on the nintendo youtube accounts
- [x] uhhhhh smash collab??
THEORIES AFTER SECOND TRAILER!!
- [ ] custom weapon kits
- [ ] honestly hoping for sanitized marina people are gonna talk about her hqving way too much trauma
- [ ] side order weapons part of the rewards for completing the campaign
- [x] off the hook songs obviously
- [ ] splatoon 2 themed season when the dlc releases
- [ ] GLEN FIDDLER IS GOING TO PLAY A LARGE ROLE
- [ ] the big thing spinny thing in the trailer being the first boss when you open the dlc and you fail to beat it and you continue or something

On Friday, September 17, 2021, Netflix premiered the highly anticipated series "Squid Game." "Squid Game: The Challenge is set to premiere on Netflix on November 22, 2023, and fans won't have to
wait much longer to dive into the highly anticipated second season. Despite the excitement, it was
revealed at last year's Critics Choice Awards that the script for season two hasn't been written yet. The
show's creator, who remains tight-lipped about the details, cryptically mentioned that the ideas for the
Next season is brewing in his mind, saying, 'It's here. Not on the page, it's here,' while pointing to his
head. He did drop a hint that Seong Gi-hun, played by Jung-jae, will make a comeback and play a
It's no trailer, but nevertheless, Fresh Season 2023 has been officially announced, bringing with it a ton of exciting things, most prominently the return of the Kraken Special from the first game!
It has seen substantial changes, with a slight delay to the transformation and its regular jump attack now being a 2-shot. Instead, however, it can now oneshot by charging up a large burst of speed, which seems to make it immune to knockback, too.
Featured alongside the Kraken are two new weapons that have it in their arsenal, the Krak-On Roller, which also has Squid Beakon, and the .96 Gal Deco, which also Splash Wall.
Going back to the announcement image for a second, there's some other details that are worth bringing up. Manta Maria from Splatoon 2 is back, and they are finally releasing the egypt-inspired stage we saw all the way back in the Direct. The presence of a jukebox is also very interesting, as this is something that the dataminers found a long time ago, and it looks like it's finally being brought into the game, presumably to let you listen to your favourite tunes in the lobby.
The thing I am the most curious about, however, are these little things. They are not mentioned in the original post, at least as far as I can tell, but they are featured very prominently, making me think they might be a new Sub Weapon. Since we're given no details, we can only speculate.
