THIS is the perfect example of everything I hate in modern remakes of old games. Complexity for the sake of complexity without any thought towards the composition or artistic vision.

ORIGINAL:

-Saturated indigo sky to contrast with the dark, muted tones of a landscape shadowed by mountains.

-Sharp purple peaks with icy caps pointing towards the sky.

-Ornate, pink marble ramps with encrusted gems.

-Elegantly shaped portal carved out of ice and accented with gold.

REMAKE:

-Sky is the same hue and saturation level as everything else.

-Mountains are grey cobblestone.

-Ramps are grey cobblestone.

-Portal is grey cobblestone.

They're more detailed, but the details don't communicate anything.

Happy fat dragon friday!! Wasn't sure what to draw and a friend suggest Cyprin from the first Spyro Reignited game..that game blessed us with so many handsome fat dragons, and Cyprin is definitely one of my faves c: if only they didnt all just appear for five seconds then never show up again dfgsfd
