attention F1 enjoyers!
this post is for formula one fans new & old.
hello! i'm going to be starting a little series of posts writing about aspects of formula one. anything and everything, from how things work, to rules, to people in the industry. anything!
to make it better suited for you folks, i'd love for you to send me a request via my profile. if there's something you'd like me to explain or write about, fire me a request.
don't feel embarrassed - i'm here to help! there's no such thing as a "stupid" question.
example "why are the cars shaped like that?" *insert my writing about why the cars are how they are*
feel free to ask about anything surrounding formula one. i'm honestly just looking for topics to write about.
NOTE FOR NEW TUMBLR USERS if you're new to tumblr and have not yet used the feature i'm talking about, you access it through my profile and click the button that says "request". you type in your request and you can even select if you'd like to be anonymous or not - meaning no one (including me) can see your username.

hi loves! got some news hehe sooo life update! (that nobody asked for lol)
i am officially changing my major! i’m no longer going to be an english teacher, education is not for me lol. i’ve started to hate reading and writing because of it, hence why i haven’t posted anything on tumblr.
SO after a lot of thinking and talking with all the important people in my life, i’ve decided im dreaming big and putting in the work to achieve this dream.
i’m going to try to be a sports journalist! it’s a lot of work and i may have to transfer schools for this but i am totally okay with that.
i’m ready to be the next erin andrews💋
SO since i am changing career paths, i will have more time and motivation to write on tumblr! i’ve missed writing my hockey aus, as well as my joe burrow series. i watched the bengals/chiefs game and omg i’ve been inspired again for joey b lol
ANYWAYS hope you lovelies are doing so good and enjoying football season so far🤍

I love my job with all my heart but clickbait headlines are something that always irk me. (I do want people to understand it's not always the writer's fault, more often than not these kinds of headlines come from the editorial team) I do appreciate that they changed it after the backlash.

I love that there was about a couple of weeks after RB announced they were signing checo for 2 more years, that people were just lying about the contract????
People were on their public news blogs, or whatever they wanted to use to justify as journalism at the time, claiming that they knew what exactly was written in the contract?
Hilarious to me seeing tweets and articles about point differentials and salary cuts according to placements. It was fucking wild.
You really did not see the same energy when anybody else signed their two year contracts. I have not heard a peep about Lewis Hamilton’s contract at Ferrari. Or even Carlos Sainz’ contract with Williams.
Just attacking the man because it got clicks.

Sports Journalism Tips for People Writing Trent Crimm (or any other sports journalist):
(I'm not a professional, but I have some experience, feel free to correct me)
Stay away from personal pronouns. Don't say, "I believe that Lasso will improve over the course of the season." Instead say, "Lasso may see improvement over the course of the season."
Only mention the person's full name once at the beginning. Call him Ted Lasso before his first quote, then just Lasso. Avoid saying "he" as much as possible too, but not if it sounds too awkward like "Lasso says that Lasso believes" is too weird.
End quotes with "'quote,' name said." Example: "Richmond," Lasso said.
Follow a format of "Explanation/lead in, quote, explanation/lead in, quote" This is what it looks like:
Ted Lasso may see improvement over the course of the season. Lasso wants to put the focus on teamwork and strengthening A.F.C. Richmond's coordination.
"I really want to work with my team on feeling connected. It's not enough for us to play well on the field. Feeling confident in the locker room is just as important. I believe it's the key to our success," Lasso said.
Richmond has struggled in the last two matches, but Lasso remains optimistic. Lasso emphasizes that the team remains consistent during training.
"So much is on the line when you go out there on the field. I know we've had a few difficult weeks, but at practice, I'm really seeing some good things. What's important now is putting our best foot forward not only behind the scenes, but in the pressure of the game," Lasso said.
I hope this helps! I learned this stuff this year and I thought it might be helpful to someone. Sports journalism is really fun. Feel free to message me with any questions.

NXT (20th/Aug.2k24)
Vice breaking her controller with those spinning kicks were crazy ! I find it amazing that with Vice's time in the gym she has found a way to modify her spinning back fist into a format featuring another part of her anatomy.
Speaking of the spinning back fist, Kelani Jordan walking up on Choo for the interference was not the right optic. The way my heart sank in my gut when she caught Vice's hand shows that Jordan is too much of a symapthetic babyface to be running around trying to get her lick back.
She still got her vengeance though by hittingc Choo with the dakimakura in the same fashion Choo took the win.
Standing tall by the end of the match was the right way to end the show. WWE did the North American champion a grave disservice by not airing Jordan's victory pose on the segment.
Something as simple as a champion being shown in victory should be a given by WWE and this mistake of their video team should not be repeated throughout the rest of Jordan's reign.
***
The Gauntlet for the #1 contender for the Women's Championship at No Mercy was strange because the way the playback ran it looked like a Royal Rumble without the over the top rope rule. Then again, I'd rather have a Gauntlet match than another Battle Royale.
Ruca hitting her neckbreaker on Sinclair while Sinclair was busy with her own submission was the highlight of the match.
Ruca and Parker being the final two was such a good idea to the point that I was supporting Ruca who wore trunks that looked like grade school superman drawers.
Parker took the W and if it would have been any other woman to take the pinfall other than Ruca, I would have been all smiles.
Perez came through with a post match promo saying that when she meets Parker at No Mercy that she will prove Parker is "all hype".
This impromptu Gauntlet Match did it's job as it has in the past (Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax come to mind) and has made the NXT Women's Title picture red hot, with even the runner-up Ruca catching heat !
This and the grudge match over the North American title have ignited No Mercy (one of my top 5 PLE's) to being the most anticipated wrestling program for the next two weeks, over "Bash In Berlin" and AEW's Big Four "All In".
And all it took was a interference and a Gaunlet Match - WWE usually goes for a battle royale and botches both, but NXT has capitalized off the trope and the revival of the Gauntlet match as they gain momentum to "No Mercy".

For Singapore 2024, our two Williams drivers shared the sixth row of the starting grid. With Alex Albon in P11 and Franco Colapinto in P12.
This race was actually Colapinto's third GP start and he's already gained four points for his team!
At the beginning, Franco made an excellent move by dive bombing up the inside of multiple cars. Much to the dismay of his teammate, Alex Albon. Who exclaimed over team radio about what the Argentine did.
Unfortunately, Albon was forced to retire at only lap 16 due to a power unit over heating issue.
Ultimately, Colapinto finished P11 and did not score any points this race.

Ok so going to work wasn't that bad. I got to see little kids achieve their dreams, get awards for their accomplishments and win trophies. It was worth it, maybe one of them will grow up to be as good of a player as Rafa maybe not but today all of them lived their dream and I was able to help them in a small way so that's enough for now.
