What's it about?

Shared Beauty is a psychological horror visual novel about a dark fairy tale.

Summary:

Once upon a time, there was a poor village. You and your friends hope that a marriage to a noble would save it. So you use the spell of youth and beauty on one of you. All seems to be going well until you notice you’re aging faster. Will you continue to share your lifespan? Or will jealousy and desperation consume you? 

If you like more messed up stories with a unique setting, this might be just your thing! There will be death, murder, and witchy spells <3

I had to cut ALOT of things from Paraparapara.

Thing biggest one is, the dress up game. I really wanted a mini game in there to add some variety. There's a song in the game called Dress Up, it's the main song. That's because it was originally supposed to be used for the dress up part. After Michelle asks you what kind of girl you'd want while on stream it switches to the game where you'd dress her up. This was supposed to be like a make your own girlfriend kind of thing.

I really wanted it in the game but there just wasn't time, shucks.

Next was the protagonist. Originally the mc was going to have a design, but I decided it was better for them to be a player insert.

They're in a little bowtie because I made alot of changes to the story. The mc was originally someone who worked for Michelle. And their relationship was way way more toxic. If you could get more toxic than what was in the game. I've actually had these characters for a while but I wasn't sure what to do with them.

That's why their hair is like that. :)

I was going to make the art in marker, but I wouldn't be able to make as many sprites as I wanted.

Another thing was voice acting. Tbh I cut this because I'm not confident enough in my ability to do so and implement it so I didn't bother wasting time.

I never used this, I was going to make the arms move up and down and put it on the stream.

I took this out because uh, it was a little much.

Also, I'm really happy Manly played this game. I was going to put in a response for if you enter that as your name but I realized if he didn't play it and someone found it I would be so fucking embarrassed. Here are some gifs from the game if you wanna use them for something idc.

Untitled Toxic Werecoyote Yaoi was made in almost a month for Spooktober 2024, and it's the first Ren'py project that I wrote and headed lead.
