AP is the best subject.
My name is Justin Ryan F. Patino, and my favorite subject is AP it is so fun and Ms. Ybanez is the GOAT, she is very funny and can teach us new things easily, she even shows us alot of movies that are fun and education.
Tumblr media
PERSONAL DETAILS: Here's some things i learned in AP, let's start with Heneral Luna's story, Heneral Luna's full name is Antonio Narciso Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta he was born on October 29, 1866 but he sadly died on June 5, 1899 (aged 32) he died at Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, First Philippine Republic
SIBLINGS:
His older brother, Juan, was an accomplished painter who studied in the Madrid Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. His Spolarium garnered one of the three gold medals awarded in the Madrid Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1884. Another brother, José, became a doctor. Yet another brother, Joaquin, fought with Antonio in the Philippine-American War, and later served as governor of La Union from 1904 to 1907. Joaquín would also serve as a senator from 1916 to 1919. His three other siblings were Numeriana, Manuel, and Remedios.
HENERAL LUNA:
He was a fiercely general and wanted to discipline his soldiers and the other Filipinos, He wanted to free the Filipinos from America.
But Emilio Aguinaldo killed Luna because he felt threatened by his power and influence, and because he wanted to eliminate a rival who oppsed his policies. Heneral Luna fought bravely but died from his allies which is very sad this is why Heneral Luna said "The americans aren't the only enemies but ourselves."
Again, I'm Justin Ryan F. Patino and thanks for reading this I hope you learned how Heneral Luna served for the Philippines great thanks to him and all the other heroes, bye bye.

On April 14 2023 we have our educational fieldtrip we will visit different interesting places such as museums, departments and amusement parks. It was 5 in the morning when I arrive at my school waiting for my classmates and teachers that will guide us the whole day. On 6 am I got to our destined bus and started to drove to our first destination. As we wait to arrive in our first destination, we started to play music and jammed on it, we share stories and funny moments inside the bus. As we are chatting and telling stories one of the teachers stands up and gave us breakfast, our breakfast menu includes a fried chicken rice meal, Water and a piece of sponge cake. After i finish eating, the feeling of drowsiness hits me, i closed my eyes and had a quick nap. A few minutes later as i opened my eyes and look through the window i saw a beautiful and fascinating architecture, it was the building of the museum. My seatmate look at me and said "hey!! We're here! Finally!" She said happily, i looked at the window and start to feel excited i was a fan of paintings sculptures and arts, kinda consider my self as an artist, I have drawn, sketch and paint many things, if you asked me my favorite kind of paintings are religious and renaissance paintings, realistic paintings, surrealism paintings, and scenery paintings. I fixed my self and bring my sketchbook with me, the teachers told us to form a line, we formed a line and head inside. I was fascinated on how beautiful the exterior and the interior of the museum. My eyes is filled with excitement as we step inside. The museum staffs gives us guidelines and rules inside of the museum, they told us that we can take a picture and videos but we need to make sure that our camera doesn't produce flashes as we take a photo of each paintings. One of the staff became our tour guide and starts to introduce some paintings, he told us its history and who made it, i was so mesmerize by the beauty of it, Spolarium made by the amazing artist, Juan Luna, I am amaze of how he illustrated and paint the characters, i was amazed by the details of it, the merchants, soldiers and dying gladiators. I take a picture of it and take notes about Juan Luna's masterpiece. Our tour guide let us to explore the museum floor by floor, me and my partner decided to go to the religious paintings, as we step inside i was amazed on how big are the canvases, i began to take pictures, list informations of each of the paintings and observe the details of it such as the type of paint that they use or the strokes that they did. After the religious paintings we decide to go to the scenery paintings, as i was looking at the paintings, i saw a painting that catches my attention, it was the moonlight by the sea made by maralino rivera, i was fascinated by it, i love on how he illustrated the sea and the moon, it also has a hint of loneliness and peace. In my paintings i love illustrating the moon and the ocean, so seeing moonlight by the sea captures my heart.

At the Museum of Fine Arts
Amongst the many places, we chose the Museum of Fine Arts. I love Fine Arts. We get to have a tour guide also. We walked from NCAA to the Museum of Fine Arts. At our back is the Spolarium Describing the painting to me It is a whole lot different when you have a tour guide with you. You get to understand the art works better, how they are arranged. So if you get to a museum, ask if you could…

FIRST TIME
First Time Travelling with Classmates was so fun. This was my first time joining a tour in our school back in 2019, My mother let me join in our tour because teachers said in the meeting that this tour will be having a plus points in our grade, that's why my mother Joined me. This tour is in Manila, This is also my first time to go there in Manila. We took the bus and my friend requested that we sit next to each other, so I told this to the finance office to put us next to the list. While we were going to the Manila Cathedral, the one who was with us on the bus was vomiting and not feeling well. For our first time traveling, this is one of our problems because we are not used to traveling. When we arrived at the Manila Cathedral, we went down and took pictures here. We spent almost 1 hour here just to appreciate the Cathedral. Next we went to the National Museum of Fine arts. The spolarium by Juan Luna opens up to us. It was explained to us what the story of this Painting really is. And at the National Museum, we went around and were given time again to appreciate the different arts that are inside the museum.
After the National Museum we went to Gardenia. Here we were taken inside the factory of different types of bread. Almost everything is done by machines until dividing the bread and putting it in plastic is also done by machines. As we circled here, I realized that the era is really different now, Everything is done by machines, maybe soon people will lose their jobs because everyone is doing their work by machines. After we went to Gardenia, we went to the Enchanted Kingdom. This was my first time to come here, and I was given a chance to come here. When we got off the bus, we went to the entrance to enter, I still had all my food with me because I thought I could put it inside. So I returned to the bus to leave my food inside and I didn't realize that my friends were already inside and I was the only one left outside.
Tumblr media
When I went inside I was not with anyone and I was sad because I called my friend they were already on the Ferris wheel and I was the only one left at the bottom, I went around the Enchanted Kingdom without them because I was separated from them. I rode different rides to enjoy this tour. I made the most of that opportunity because I knew I would only experience it once so I didn't think twice about not enjoying it. I did everything to enjoy that moment. I even used up my allowance because I bought a few tender juicy hotdogs even though they were expensive (sarap kasi) So when we got back to the bus, my allowance was used up when we stopped at Jollibee to eat dinner, I didn't get off and I didn't I bought dinner because I used up my allowance. As I remember that moment, I realize that you have to save yourself from other things because it is difficult to find in the time of need. When my allowance ran out, at least one of my friends didn't lend me a loan, so I couldn't buy my dinner. But I bought a gift for my family. At least I enjoyed the tour that took place. My "First Time" has come a long way

FINALS: Three Questions on the Resurfacing of Juan Luna's Long Lost Painting, "Hymen oh, Hyménée"
Was the painting really lost in the hand of Juan Luna?
Has the government done any way to search for the painting?
Is it worthy to display such an iconic painting in a private museum instead in the National Museum?
Juan Luna is a classical painter who has played an important part in raising the Philippine art school to international recognition. The Spoliarium, one of his most famous works, won a gold medal at the National Exposition of Fine Arts in Madrid in 1884. The enormous mural depicts fallen Roman gladiators being dragged from the arena.
More than 130 years had passed, a long-lost masterpiece of Juan Luna was found by an art collector, Jaime De Leon, and now on display at the Ayala Museum. It was reported that the last time that the painting was last seen was in Paris. “Hymen, on Hyménéé” was dubbed the holy grail of Philippines Arts, as it features a Roman wedding from Juan Luna’s perspective.
Was the painting really lost in the hand of Juan Luna? This was the first question that came to my mind after reading some articles about the finding of the painting. From my perspective, it is just questionable how come the painting was in the hand of an aristocratic family in Europe knowing that it was purchased in the 1920s. An additional question formed in my mind in connection with his works after reading that the Spoliarium was awarded as a Prize of Honor but the jury decided not to give such an award that year. According to the book Juan Luna, The Filipino As Painter by Santiago Pilar, the reason why it was not given was it would have automatically put an Indio above the two-well known Spanish artists, Antonio Muñoz Degrain and Jose Moreno Canonero, who ranks second and third respectively. What if it was intentionally bought by the Europeans? By looking at the painting, there is indeed a potential of winning another award if it will be presented by Juan Luna. Since, the Spanish, specifically, could not afford to be lost by a Filipino artist, which they described as Indio, they instead bought the masterpiece, purposely or secretly, until it was announced missing.
Has the government done any way to search for the painting? It saddened me to read that the painting was claimed by an art collector by purchasing it in a high value amount. Knowing that this painting commemorates the hardworks of Juan Luna, the government must be the first one who has been doing something since the very beginning for the search of the painting. They should have done their very best and full effort in finding it. Though, De Leon said in one of his interviews that he does not have any plans of reselling tha painting. But, how sure are we for that? Knowing that he owned the painting now and even approached a private museum to display it to the public. Interest from other artists to purchase it is high specially for having a high value. Nonetheless, this kind of matter must also be prioritized by the government. If they can put attention to the other aspects of the country,I hope that they can also give importance and value on this matter as well, especially that every Filipino has the right to see and learn about this painting.
Is it worthy to display such an iconic painting in a private museum instead in the National Museum? We all know by this time that the long-lost painting is on display in the Ayala Museum, a private museum. It was said in reports that it would be free in the public eye on the day of the Philippine’s 125 Independence Day. However, what happens next after the day of the independence day? As of August 2022, the rates for the museum admission starts at the regular rates at P650 while discounted rate is at P350. That being said, only a few Filipinos are able to visit and see the painting. Why not display it in the National Museum instead? The Spolarium, a famous painting of Juan Luna, is now displayed in the National Museum. Thus, why not choose and display the long-lost painting here so that many people can be able to access and appreciate the beauty of the painting freely. Is there any hidden agenda in choosing a private museum?
Upon writing my questions and reasons, I believe that three questions are not enough to know and learn more about this recent topic. I also believe that this should be an eye-opener for us Filipinos about our rights to have access to the arts that our ancestors had contributed for our country. It should not be owned by someone but must be owned by everyone in this country. Arts should not be equivalent in the value of how much it costs but how important it is in the hearts and minds of all.

📍National Museum Of The Philippines (Arts)
Museum is the definition of " A Walk Through History"
They say history remains in arts. Even in smallest things has its history. A piece of a wood that traveled through years is an art. "History is worth appreciation" it can sends us messages it can benefit us learnings and knowledge about our country.
It is my first time to be in our national museum and I have no idea whats inside, in short im clueless. But when we entered it, the cold breeze welcomed us. Everything seems meaningful and preserved. What catched my attention is the painting of Juan Luna named Spolarium and it seends quivers into my spines when I take a picture of it. The memories we spent in the museum are vividly clear and feels like I was still there. I hope I can travel more into other museums around the world to explore their history ☀︎
