Dracule Mihawk from One Piece is a Black Hawk-eagle! (Spizaetus tyrannus)
Requested by @pootsart !
Also called the tyrant hawk-eagle, this eagle species is native to the forests of Central and South America. It is a solitary raptor that, despite being smaller compared to other eagles, is capable of taking down prey of considerable size-- enough so to be colloquially in Brazil as the "Gavião-pega-macaco" ("monkey-catching hawk".)

"Uncommon, spectacular, crested eagle of lowland tropical forest. Most frequently seen soaring in mid-late morning; rarely seen perched. Gives loud, far-carrying whistles while flying, which often indicate its presence. The short bushy crest is usually apparent only on perched birds and is not seen in flight."

I have the urge to write another birdtale story 😯
But this time from the horrortale au where sans is a type of vulture and readz is a spizaetus. I have one idea where they are booted into a harem-like au due to an accident with that verse’s y/n and sans, but I’m still brainstorming other stories I could do with the horror bird verse….

So I’m currently trying to understand and draw this recent Bird of Prey I found. This is called the Ornate Hawk Eagle (Spizaetus ornatus). These birds can be found in Mexico or Belize however they are unfortunately threaten species. They are most powerful raptor, being almost a weight of 2 to 3-1/2 pounds but can almost take about twice the size of their own weight leaving a wingspan of 3-4 feet wide.

"The Ornate Hawk-Eagle is aptly named, with piercing golden eyes and striking black, white, and chestnut plumage. This extraordinary raptor also has a crest of long black feathers, which the bird may keep flattened or held erect when excited. The birds are often seen soaring high above the rainforest canopy on broad, short wings while giving their repeated piping calls."
